[00:02:49] hey friends Happy Father's Day my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti welcome to Sunday Q&A we're going to stream exactly two hours today maybe a little bit less
[00:03:02] because after the stream I am My Father's Day present to my dad he's hard to shop for and this year I realized what you'd probably love hanging out with me for a couple hours so
[00:03:17] after the stream today I'm jumping into Grand Turismo 7 with him and we're going to hang out in there for I was hoping to like two hours but I have it's might be a little less
[00:03:29] than that cuz Maggie and I are going to dance tonight at 7:00 but I'm hoping after after we get back he'll still be around so I can jump back in with him so that's what's going on for me
[00:03:40] today we are going to Q&A as always we are going to fly a bunch of batteries I still have a whole bunch of batteries left over here I put 40,000 KV 0702 wee bed
[00:03:58] Motors back into a freestyle rig so we will fly those what'll kind of Be Cool is we can compare this to the ultra lightweight setup let me see what what this thing weighs so this is like a
[00:04:13] a pretty classic Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop formula usually these are like a little over 18 gram let's see right on the nose 18.05 gr so exactly this will be really
[00:04:30] cool exactly 18 gram with all the power in the world 0702 40,000 KV Motors versus 16.4 gram I think 16.4 gram with 0802 I'm sorry 0702 28,000 KV Motors I've been meaning to do this and
[00:04:59] uh I I I think I know which way this is going to go and I'm G to be I'm going to be a little bit frustrated I I think that I'm going to end up really digging the lightweight
[00:05:11] low KV setup but that's a good sort of data point because one of the other things that I want to do is try ultral light with more power so this is the Mobula 6 2024 V E1 with the direct
[00:05:31] soldered Motors that's kind of the only way that you can get down below 17 gram is to is to start direct soldering your motors which sucks the other reason this is so light is that it's got
[00:05:46] the newbie Dru light AF frame if you're going to get that frame make sure you get the white one the black one broke like immediately there's something about the there's something about the
[00:05:59] colorant that they used I think in that black frame that really killed the durability which is insane we've like theorized about that right because like plastic is clear and so if you've got
[00:06:17] plastic that's a color they're adding something to the plastic to make it that color the darker the color the more they're going to have to add the less plastic that you get plastic is strong
[00:06:29] whatever they're adding to add the color is not strong so wild that that we've really like we really got to see that super clearly what's interesting though is that this is they don't have a
[00:06:44] clear light AF frame that I've seen they have white and black and this white is pretty opaque so there's there's pigment or colorant or whatever in this but apparently just nowhere near as much
[00:06:58] as the the black frame or maybe the pigment colorant whatever the hell it is in the black frame reacted in a weird way to the plastic and weaken the plastic I don't know but this white one
[00:07:10] has held up shockingly well this is also going to be looking at by Blades versus Tri blades I would love to run by blades on this but at 20 28,000 KV it just doesn't have enough RPM so I'm super curious
[00:07:29] to do an ultra lightweight build with maybe like 32,000 KV Motors and then the bblades I think that might be absolute magic although these GemFan 1219 s's are really really good
[00:07:46] so super interesting stuff I'm looking forward to kind of comparing these I mean we could also bring into the mix one of the other freestyle rigs hold on
[00:08:09] so this is the 32,000 KV setup we could also kind of bring this th this so we've got 40,000 this is going to be just as heavy this is like the Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop
[00:08:26] weight what's really insane is like this is is now this is now the heaviest least powered weight this is the most underpowered weight underpowered rig that I've got 18.1 gram kind of
[00:08:42] crazy but it's on the the HQ YOLO Tri blades so these 0702 32000 on these Tri blades blasts usually like I go to by blades above when I get up above like 30,000 KV or
[00:09:02] so and then there's this one that I pounded the out of at Rampage which is 18.6 gram because it has a better antenna it's got the ort antenna how the hell is this one so
[00:09:18] light though 18.06 why is this so light and it has the ort antenna what how is that how has that happened these are exactly the same same canopy same camera same
[00:09:43] antenna same 0702 BT 2.0 same newbie drone crockor 65 V3 frame these must have different versions of the of the 2g4 and this 2g4 must be heavier than this one
[00:10:06] because these are exactly the same that's super weird that one of them is half a gram heavier half a gram is like a lot in tiny whoop land interesting this has 0702 36,000 KB
[00:10:23] Motors what's Wild we have like every step right now we have Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoops with 40,000 36,000 32,000 and ultra light I need a name for
[00:10:46] this ultimate lightweight tiny whoop so we've got like ufw Ultimate Freestyle whoop this maybe is ulw ultra lightweight whoop ulw I'm sorry it's ufw Ultimate Freestyle although this is still
[00:11:05] freestyle I don't know this is the direct soldered thing makes me want to scream and a lot of people have had problems with that Mobula 6 2024 with the direct soldered Motors the ones with
[00:11:24] the motor plugs the V2 Mobula 6 2024 V2 seem to have a lot less problems they they haven't been out long enough the second version two with the plugs hasn't been out long enough to
[00:11:39] really be able to tell but kind of interesting the other thing that we're going to do is dive into the RC car chasing rigs over here this guy has the cadx ant camera in it
[00:12:04] which I'm just done with I I'm absolutely done with this camera it looks terrible it's adjusts to light and dark horribly I I just I I I'm done this camera is out so this
[00:12:21] rig has to have the camera pulled this rig is on 0702 30,000 KV Motors so the the the purpose behind this one is lightweight with the 0 72s but then low KV I cannot believe that 30,000 KV is in
[00:12:41] my Twisted Brain low KV at this point but it kind of is throttle this rig is all about throttle resolution but I want to get a good camera into it so that's the plan for this guy
[00:13:00] the the purple batwing rig this currently has 0603 30,000 KV prototype Motors on it the thought process with this rig is that these bigger motors with the taller stator have better response time
[00:13:23] but and more power as well but man the the extra weight really really changes things in not a good way for trying to stay for trying to change Direction with the with the little RC drift cars that
[00:13:43] that's the that's the hardest part of tracking those guys is the direction changes and trying to stay with them even though they're sliding around they're still grabbing onto the carpet
[00:13:57] and that allows them to change directions a lot quicker so for example right these two are are pretty much identical other than 72s 603s the cameras are technically
[00:14:11] different but but I think the the rig with the 72s which is on the scale now has a heavier camera so this guy is 19 gram exactly this guy with the 63s even though it's got a lighter camera is
[00:14:25] 19.83% this will get down into the 18s when I swap the camera out it'll probably be like 18.8 so it's basically like one extra gram for the 603s versus the 72s and I know that doesn't sound like a
[00:14:44] lot but think of it in percentages right 1 gram at 20 gram of weight is a 5% difference that's a 5% increase in weight between these two so blow that up to 5 in weights that's a 600 G
[00:15:00] rig becoming a 630 gram rig and that's not like that's not that big of a difference but it is a difference for sure and when I fly these two guys I can tell like I I can just tell that this thing is lighter
[00:15:18] so these 603s are going to come off of here I don't exactly know what I'm going to replace them with I'm actually really tempted to replace them with 40,000 kv0 72s
[00:15:38] because what I've been kind of around with at the RC drift car place is like flying really hard and instead of instead of flying it like a cine whoop flying it like a 5-in freestyle
[00:15:51] lunatic quad and what I'm what I'm trying to do is like throw it up over the car throw it up over the little bridge that they now have and do like really acrobatic kind of like 3D stuff
[00:16:05] analog is coming in at 60 frames a second so I can slow it down to 50% it looks really really cool when I start to do that those really hard acrobatic moves so I don't know
[00:16:19] I kind of just I just took the 40,000 KV Motors and put them on here so we'll fly them today for sure but but then I might end up pulling them off here and putting them on here regardless this
[00:16:33] needs to get a set of this needs to get a set of 07 02s and I could also do maybe that's what I'll do maybe I'll do 702 36,000 36,000 is plenty of power and especially for comparing right
[00:16:52] 30,000 KV versus 36,000 KV there'll be a definite difference between these two the last of the cinematic chasing rigs here is going to have the motors pulled off of it these are the VCI
[00:17:12] 0702 29,000 and I want to put those onto a freestyle rig so these motors are coming off this and again I don't necessarily know what maybe I'll leave this alone
[00:17:26] actually maybe this rig on the 603 is I'll leave alone and test it a little bit more and then swap something over here too many ideas and too many options I gotta think about that I gotta think
[00:17:49] about what I'm going to do with that again Happy Father's Day my friends Apache smoke Wen sniper was first in the chat Curtis Hayes was next Michael kajas Pon P Peno frle some guy FPV rocket Tech
[00:18:01] Cloud Hopper b a hockey rounds Mr B Frank Nicholas Douglas otwell Cole Powers Timmons Kevin James non applicable Striker rocket Tech Arend FPV Tony Morgan Hendrick
[00:18:18] Freakazoid Walter Cloud Hopper Camille zuga CB FPV off axxis is in the house Alexander Lewis Hughes cmk FPV rain Squad I think I got pretty much everybody what's up friends thanks
[00:18:38] for coming if you want to talk directly to me in the chat all you got to do is type CiottiFPV if you do that it'll light up an orange C fpv.one you can work one-on-one with me
[00:18:59] with on through Fiverr we can get you flying better tuning better building better PayPal if you want to support me directly but you don't want to do a super chat because YouTube takes 30% and
[00:19:09] then look at all these affiliate links my friends replace all of your bookmarks or if you just type into the URL bar amazon.com off on the right you can remove the suggestion remove all of your
[00:19:21] existing suggestions for these websites and then hit the affiliate links a bunch of times and then from then on in your url bar if if you type R A CE for race day quads it'll think you want to go to
[00:19:32] my affiliate link that's the easiest way to use affiliate links without having to remember we bed get FPV newbie drone FPV cycle Amazon race day quads oh my God brain 3D hd0 flywoo eax
[00:19:45] bang good camera butter and AliExpress are the websites excuse me the websites that I have affiliate links to and then there's some other fun stuff down here do it my friends and we'll keep
[00:19:55] hanging out together till the dawn of time until democracy finally ends and we burn to the ground shouldn't say finally ends should say unfortunately ends so that's
[00:20:08] the plan here for today people what is that is that a solder ball just sitting on there I think it was Kevin James says free hash free the imprisoned Teddy he also says hello everyone and SE FP
[00:20:26] what's up dude Sho says happy Father's Day thank you brother Cloud Hopper says I finished rewinding a set of RS 0802 1 half mm shaft Motors to 33,000 KV yesterday got them in my Mobula 7 frame
[00:20:40] with Mobula 6 camera 2g4 and today 22.9 grams what really that's a little light isn't it 22.9 is that right berer where's my Jungle Gym Basher at where'd it go
[00:21:07] what where is it hold on I've lost the tiny whoop 22.9 that's light isn't it what what is oh did I knock it onto the floor or something where the hell I took it I grabbed it the other
[00:21:30] day and now it's gone what the hell well if I can't find it I can't weigh it where is it uh what what is happening this really life where is it what who's got a jungle gy Bater that
[00:22:13] they can weigh I didn't throw it in here did I no what the hell oh there it is I got it's fine everybody relax hold on let's see how the hell did you get it that
[00:22:30] light let's see here I need to swap the antenna on this one 23.9 that's light dude 22.9 where' you save a full gram oh those Motors are lighter aren't they the rs82 motors are lighter than
[00:22:54] these wow a there's no way that those Motors are a gr lighter what antenna are you using I'm using kind of a heavy antenna I've just got like a regular Bing Bong antenna on here I need to I
[00:23:08] need to take I want to take one of these ort antennas off of these guys and put them into this for Jungle Jim Basher right we're going to it's going to fly around outside so it makes
[00:23:19] sense to have a nice antenna on it damn dude 2 2.9 is great that's that thing is going to blast and that's on 33,000 KV Motors that's dope that's really really
[00:23:38] cool I don't have a jungle gym Basher that'll that'll fly that good that's awesome how much quicker are you getting at rewinding the motors and are you able to wind them in a way that like
[00:23:52] the windings are more orderly than than HappyModel or or is it just too small is it just like get get the number of winds on there and just move on CU apparently how neat you wind the windings does
[00:24:11] matter damn dude that's wild good all right what do we got here what else is going on cloud Hopper says only did a test H inside as its 20 mph wind out right
[00:24:31] now indor Hop was very promising bad says Happy Father's Day to you as well if you're fathering Sher says watching The Flow State documentary with my grandpa right now thought it would
[00:24:44] be nice to introduce him to the Hobby he's obsessed with camera Jones already very cool flow state was beautifully done by James and I was very lucky to be included in the incredible
[00:24:57] group of people that they interviewed for that zuga says got a question building 2S Mobula 8 with WalkSnail one of use 1103 11,000 KV motors do you think it's okay flight controller is
[00:25:11] going to be crazy F4 DX V3 thanks for the answer should be good that's about the right that's probably the right KV for 2in propellers I don't know anything about that flight that AIO but I mean
[00:25:26] you know when when you're looking to do do a build the biggest question is always will these motors make enough power for the the all up weight of the rig I haven't done a 2-in tiny whoop build
[00:25:41] to know for sure but 113 is probably about the right motor size because on this one step down 75mm motor to motor 102 seems to be like the bigger motor that you would want to run
[00:26:00] so 10:2 to 1103 that's about right that that jump is about right and then on 2S with the 75mm rigs it feels like 14,000 KV is about right so on 2S and then so 11,000 KV on 2S with the bigger
[00:26:17] 2in props probably about right so that should be a good build bad says so one week with the V2 Mobula 6 and I've had the crimped wires fall out of one motor plug one wire come out of the
[00:26:29] crimp on another motor and just yesterday the camera died what the hell I think I've only had the wires fall out of the crimps like once
[00:26:42] ever and then you had a the the the crimped part come out of the plug it sounds like that's super rare too I don't know what the hell happy model's doing
[00:26:58] but I the Mobula 6 2024's do not seem to be anywhere near as durable as the old Mobula 6's which is super annoying although FPV is very DIY and we do smash the out of
[00:27:18] these things so it's tough it's tough to expect any of these manufacturers to make something that's going to withstand the abuse that we put them through
[00:27:29] but at the same time the old mobule 6 was unbelievably durable timman says what about the ultralight build with the YOLO props well so the
[00:27:47] the talking about this ultralight build with 0702 28,000 KV Motors the YOLO props are very very very slightly lighter I think they're like 02 of a gram lighter so it won't
[00:28:03] necessarily make this significantly lighter the magic of the YOLO props is that they're crazy lightweight and so they spin up and down really fast so the response time is is absurd on them
[00:28:16] these GemFan 1219 s's are almost as light and they're significantly more pitchy which is why I've chosen them for this rig I had these I had the HQ props on this rig and they were totally fine
[00:28:29] actually this this came with this came with the YOLO props and I switched over for the extra pitch and it definitely made a difference so on these 0702 28,000 KV Motors I will not run
[00:28:44] them on any other propellers than these because the motors are a lower KV and I want every bit of power I don't necessarily want everybody of response time that that's really how you're going
[00:28:56] to make your choice between the gem fans and the HQ Tri blades ultra light Tri blades the the the HQ ultra light Tri blades will get you better response time but better response time
[00:29:10] slightly less power slightly less dirt not slightly less durability less durability so HQ YOLO props better response time less durability slightly less power GemFan 1219 s's more
[00:29:31] power more slightly more power more durability slightly less response time so that's the difference between those two on this rig with these motors it's all about getting the extra
[00:29:45] power out of them 28,000 KV is a little bit low for me and man this combo is just awesome like th this setup is is just perfect the way that it is right now Super C curious like I said earlier
[00:30:00] what that would be like with by blades but in order to run the by blades I have to go up to a higher KV motor to get the power out of them and that's annoying because that means I'm going to
[00:30:11] have to cut a set of motor plugs off and direct solder a set of like 32,000 kvo 72s which that just sucks like so as curious as I am this is a pretty compelling little
[00:30:28] setup because all this really is is a Mobula 6 2024 V1 with no motor plugs with the direct soldered Motors you swap the propellers you take the you take the ground the big silver ground Plane
[00:30:42] off the antenna to save a bunch of weight and then you switch to the old school canopy and RunCam nano3 that's it that's this whole rig you don't have to do this 180° BT 2.0 it comes with an
[00:30:55] a30 so oh and you swap the frame obviously to the light AF frame so this is a fairly well you do have to solder the camera is not on a plug so you do have to direct solder the camera
[00:31:08] but I mean you could totally leave the Mobula 6 2024 canopy and camera on there but this is a fair and I try to do this right like I try to keep my setups
[00:31:22] as not customized as basic as possible right like as as easy to build as possible so that it's not like oh I want something that flies like seat's rigs oh well I don't got 10 hours to drill holes in the
[00:31:38] frame and do all this wacky to get it to fly right like if I have something that you can emulate in like a half an hour of work that's pretty cool and also the other big reasoning
[00:31:52] behind that is the less custom the thing that you fly hard it is the harder you're willing to fly it right like you're you're if if it's just like I mean the the Pinnacle of this is like no
[00:32:07] solder setups right like if if you can do something without having to use a soldering iron you're going to be willing to batter the living out of that because when you break something
[00:32:17] you don't have to break out the soldering iron you just plug something new in and Away you go right like that's the that's the Holy Grail yes you need a soldering iron to make this
[00:32:27] antenna super lightweight but this is indestructible you're never going to break this antenna so that's totally fine the camera the the RunCam nano3 camera in this canopy that is a setup
[00:32:41] that yes you're going to have to bust out the soldering iron for but this camera and canopy are almost indestructible so this setup like yes you have to use a soldering
[00:32:50] iron but it's not something that you need to use a soldering iron over and over and over again other than the the direct soldered motor Motors but it's so lightweight that it seems to really help
[00:33:01] with the durability on the motors so I don't know but there you go there's answers to questions that you didn't ask Kevin James with a $50 Super Chat thank you so much homie
[00:33:14] he says Happy Father's Day to you and all you wonderful loving fathers in chat I agree man Kevin thank you so much that's incredible BL with a $5 Super Chat for the motor fund let's get
[00:33:25] it going 30 years the 35 thank you homie what else is happening what else is happening where was I in chat there it is cbfv says at what point should I replace 5in Motors
[00:33:49] that is a question that each one of us have to Grapple with it so as Motors get more and more beat up the quad is going to fly worse and worse so you've got your pit tune all right so
[00:34:09] you put a fresh set of motors on you can now take your pit tune and push it you start crashing those Motors the motors start vibrating more and more and more you're going to have to back your pit
[00:34:22] tune's going to be up here potentially you're going to have to back that pit tune off as you beat the motors up more and more because the the more beat up the motors the more vibrations they're
[00:34:31] putting into the into the system and there's only so much that you can do with filtering to filter those physical vibrations out before they're going to get into the pit Loop and make that
[00:34:41] thing want to fly away on its own and so the more beat up your Motors are the worse the rig is going to fly at some point you might even get into a situation where the motors are so
[00:34:54] beat up that you've got Jello-O in the HD that for me is a total deal breaker once there's Jello-O in the HD feed the the banged up motor or Motors are coming off that that is like the end of the road
[00:35:08] for motors for me if you're not flying an HD camera you can push them even further but it really comes down to that like how bad are you willing to have that thing fly because as the like
[00:35:21] I said as the motors get more beat up you have to pull your pit tune down some people that just want to fly and enjoy the Majesty of Hur hurling their eyeballs through the air in a completely
[00:35:35] safe way will leave the the pit tune completely stock and nowadays the stock BetaFlight pit tune flies really damn good for those folks fresh Motors beat the hell out of
[00:35:48] them and then like when the when the rigs just keep pounding on the motors until the point where the when you chop the throttle the motors don't come down as quickly or you arm it and
[00:36:02] sometimes it kind of tries to fly away technically you could pull the pit tune down even farther but it starts to really fly like when you pull it down below stock so the the stock pit
[00:36:16] tune is is kind of a good stopping point if if the motors are so beat up that they won't even work on that stock pit tune that's a good time to kind of change them as well because now
[00:36:28] you're going to have to really the way that the rig flies but there there are other folks I'm looking at you sponsored Pilots that get lots of motors for free Pilots that
[00:36:41] are sponsored by Motor companies right where they're not paying for the motors so it every couple of hard hits as soon as a motor starts to as soon as they notice that one motor is
[00:36:53] vibrating harder than the others desolder it swap it out folks that run kiss for example they have to be much more on top of swapping Motors out the filtering and kiss does not work
[00:37:06] as good as BetaFlight and so it is unable to handle vibrations like BetaFlight is so those people have to swap Motors out a lot more often so it's a it's a decision that
[00:37:19] everybody needs to make individually and you can there are like concrete things that you can base It Off off of right like jello in your HD camera where your pit tune is like how good or
[00:37:33] bad the the thing is flying I I keep Motors on until the very bitter end I I run them into the absolute dirt and I think you should too because there's other stuff that you can spend
[00:37:46] your money on that that will help you stay in the air like another identical build right so if if you really run your Motors into the ground you can spend some of that money that you're
[00:37:56] saving on a second build and then it's when when you break it when you break the first one instead of sitting there for the next hour when you should be flying fixing you
[00:38:09] just throw it in the back grab the other one and keep flying so that when you go out to fly you actually fly as many batteries as possible because that's how you get good so
[00:38:20] that's a that's a super individual decision but it's there is some thought process behind it that'll help you through that and hopefully I just helped timman says it can be the Jenny Craig
[00:38:31] whoop for all the grams you're counting allais Dro in the SE fv.com linkink Curtis Hayes has a Mobula 6 hd0 that has the stock 8021 19000s and it's lethargic that's CU those Motors are
[00:38:43] heavy and way too low of a KV I have a set of 0702 26,000 and a set of 0702 40,000 which would be better to swap out to better throttle response throttle response comes from power so
[00:38:59] the higher KV Motors will make more power so a higher KV motor is always going to give you better throttle response 702 40,000 are an awful lot but you've got a Mobula 6 hd0 so that is a fat rig
[00:39:16] because of the hd0 on there so 702 40,000 is for sure if it's too much power you can motor limit's down and you're good to go 0702 26,000 on an analog Mobula 6 tiny whoop are okay
[00:39:33] but with the hd0 on there it's still going to it's not going to feel much that's not true the the 0702 26000 versus the 0802 19000s you'd feel a big difference
[00:39:46] because the 0702 is are lighter which would help that rig out a lot because it's a fat rig and they're 26,000 KV which is a lot more than 19,000 so the the either one of
[00:39:59] those 72s would help that rig a ton but since it's a fat rig put those Mega KV Motors on it and that's going to wake that thing up quite a bit CMYK saysdudes my WalkSnail
[00:40:14] freestyle 65mm rig is on the 702 4000s and it's flies very decent because of how much power those Motors put out it's still very heavy heavy but those Motors really save that
[00:40:30] rig cmk says what was what was The Quirk quirky thing about the new last batch of the discontinued HappyModel F4 2g4 AIO v3.3 printed on the board the the VTX table was wrong on a lot of
[00:40:48] them right out of the box here's the link to the correct VTX table it's one of the two VTX tables at that link that I just put in the chat here it is if if you're rewatching
[00:41:06] this and the chat's not working or whatever search for this right here on on Happy models website like if I take this and copy it into the clipboard and just go into the search field and
[00:41:18] drop it in there it'll find this it'll find that article not article it'll find that page rather so there you go that's how you find it where is
[00:41:40] it where's the look I'm going to at some point here update my WalkSnail so I can try the race mode where where where's the thing for this oh I'm stupid stupid and I there it is got it's fine
[00:42:02] everything's fine oh this that's whatever stop telling me to put ads in I'm so sorry that you guys have to watch ads I am doing an experiment right now monetizing these live streams again
[00:42:18] because apparently if you don't monetize if you put something on YouTube and you don't monetize it YouTube doesn't show it to anyone and so I have turned on monetization for live
[00:42:33] streams right now I know it sucks that you have to watch the commercials but I'm just it might not be forever for the longest time I didn't monetize any of these because I would
[00:42:45] rather you guys support me on patreon because instead of taking 30% they only take like 13 or something and making money off of YouTube is impossible you like you have to
[00:42:58] average like a 100,000 views a week to make any amount of money and that's still not that much money and that's just an absurd number so it sucks to have to monetize on YouTube
[00:43:10] because you don't actually make any money but it's the only way to get them to share your around so that you can actually get new people so maybe what I'll if I don't know maybe I'll go
[00:43:21] through phases maybe I'll do a couple of weeks where they're monetized and that'll bring some new people in and then turn it off we'll see hopefully it doesn't make a significant difference
[00:43:33] because then I'll just turn it right back off like it was forever and just YouTube doesn't really do jack for small channels and so kind of is what it
[00:43:47] is zuga says got a question building 2S mulate so I answered that already Walter says what's with the Bible at the back of your shirt it's just the name of the company the the
[00:44:01] name of the of this U import Bible import bible.com and they they're they have a lot of shirts but they have some other random stuff I don't think they sell this shirt anymore
[00:44:23] now this is an old shirt that that they don't sell anymore unfortunately but they they have all kinds of it's this is a pretty nerdy website like you got to be pretty deep into car
[00:44:39] culture to understand most of the most of the stuff on their website but this is this this is one of my favorite shirts ever it's got all three generations all three of the first
[00:44:51] Generations Na and then NB which is what I have and then then NC and then keep it simple stupid featherweight unfortunately the shirt is white and I've worn it a lot and so
[00:45:05] now it's kind of yellow but is what it is Cloud Hopper says using the mobu 6 Ai and running the stock antenna oh that's the other thing that's right you're using the regular Mobula 6 AIO my
[00:45:25] Jungle Jim Basher has the X12 which is physically bigger and I think it's also thicker so that makes sense that makes sense Cloud Hopper says let me a picture I'm getting faster can do a
[00:45:35] set in about three hours so you're doing one set of rs0 802s in three hours man that is that's still a long time that's a long time that that's too long for you to be able to like sell
[00:45:56] the those like if if if you start selling those you're going to be paying yourself like the max you'll be able to pay yourself is like 10 bucks an hour because you'll pay you'll pay $36 for
[00:46:10] the motors and then like realistically the there's the handwound motors on Tiny whoop.com that are 80 bucks and it's like oh my God 80 bucks but it's like 80 bucks like that
[00:46:25] that's what you have to sell them for minimum and 3 hours of work at 80 bucks you're making 40 bucks you're making like 12 $13 an hour that's annoyingly low unless like you enjoy
[00:46:41] doing it which I doubt I doubt that you enjoy rewinding those Motors but it's very cool that you're doing it man very very very cool rocketech says Amazon link changed to your affiliate I had a
[00:46:56] lot of suggest questions to clear prepare for the delus of cash LOL thank you rocket Tech very cool of you zuga says thanks man you're certainly welcome Peno fre H says whoop wire for motor
[00:47:08] wires will save some weight that's that wacky single strand stuff right whoop wire so they have this 28 gauge but motor wires are 30 gauge I believe there we go there's 30 grade 30
[00:47:33] gauge so I think this is the this is the stuff right super super super thin single strand that freaks me out man also like this is red and green Twisted you're going to have to then like so
[00:47:48] you're going to have to add a third one in I I'm all down for oh that's interesting I'm all down for making these things lighter and lighter and lighter but what I really
[00:48:07] try to avoid sorry I did not have the right screen on there what I really try this so this is here's the 30 gauge whoop wire what I try to avoid is having builds that have had so much
[00:48:22] customization done that I don't fly them hard because when not if I break them I'm going to have to spend another couple hours re customizing them like I I if I'm going to fly a rig hard it has
[00:48:39] to be easy to repair and quick to repair and I recommend that for for all of you too it's fun to go nuts and pour 20 hours into a build and have it perform unbelievable but then
[00:48:55] if you're anything like me it you're going to have you're just not going to pound on it and pounding on these things is just super fun so it's that's tough look at this little
[00:49:09] stripper wire stripper that's an important distinction look at that I might snag one of those next time I do an order I didn't realize that there was 32 gauge it's sold out now
[00:49:24] but the whoop wire is super interesting let's see lightest weight wire you can get a little harder to attach work with General 32 aw is dramatically lighter and smaller than
[00:49:36] 30 10 cm length 092 so basically 0.1 gram 0.1 Wow versus 03 good Lord oh it's mainly for LEDs it looks like I don't think you want to use this as motor
[00:50:04] wire cool idea for LEDs though interesting unfortunately it's sold out but whoop wire is the thing thank God for tiny whoop.com like just the best what would you do with 28 gauge would
[00:50:19] you maybe use this for Motors go to wire for c n Jesse is in it using it for LEDs interesting I don't know I I I hate soldering to these motors so much I I I doubt that I would ever go down that
[00:50:48] road it's a great idea but that's a bit much Walter says with props it's like Wheels titanium Wheels with less possible rubber popped into mine so I'm there today lightweight props are are magic
[00:51:08] but it's just there's a point where they become really fragile and HQ has a tendency to really push that they they really really even with their 5in props like their J series of propellers I
[00:51:22] can't crash them once without them being unflyable so I get it but be careful because as soon as you have propellers on a build that will you can only crash once if you crash up on like a rooftop
[00:51:38] or something you're not getting that back so I I'm a much bigger fan of props that are slightly heavier that are durable enough to take at least a couple of hits but to each
[00:51:51] his or her own Kevin James thank you again for the incredibly generous $50 Father's Day Super Chat Walter says I think if you start sanding on a frame you can improve half a gram and
[00:52:02] better airst stream I'm sure of it but I'm never going to do that BL thank you for the $5 for the motor fund again Alexander Lewis Hughes says what did you do will you do for fun today as
[00:52:17] soon as this stream is over at 5 I'm jumping on Grand tho with my dad and we're going to celebrate Father's Day together by hanging out for like an hour hour and a half before I
[00:52:28] go to dance class with Maggie so this afternoon is going to be super super fun couldn't sleep as always last night so I was I was up until Christ forever so I didn't
[00:52:40] really get to do anything this morning but that's life sometimes strer says so overall how is the light AF it's great as long as you get the white one I'm shocked at how durable it's
[00:52:52] been I did not expect that I I I I don't love that they took the little hooks off of it I would love to run this frame on one of the one of the RC car chasing rigs but not a whole
[00:53:09] lot that I can do about that so kind of is what it is unfortunately like those hooks don't weigh anything what I mean so I I really wish that they'd left them on there but I totally
[00:53:19] understand why they took them off unfortunately this is a different mold and so there's nothing that we can really do about that like we we will never get this light AF frame
[00:53:30] with the with the hooks on it unfortunately but this is a freestyle frame and then the the V3 is freestyle and cinematic frame so it is what it is zuga says
[00:53:45] what walks sdale VTX should I put into that 2S build 1S or DC V DK you want the light any any like kind of a tiny whoop you want to run the WalkSnail light it's so much lighter
[00:54:05] that's a that's a no-brainer Andrew T Andrew Taylor says who are your three favorite drummers I haven't been into drums in so long that I was about to say I really don't
[00:54:21] have three but I actually think that I do lell Lewis for sure he's just a goddamn genius I don't really love that guy that everybody loves that's like that's really really good
[00:54:36] I respect the out of him but he's just too much I really dig laau lewis' style a lot more than him who else see I just I I haven't paid much attention in in too long not Mitch
[00:55:03] Mitchell the guy the the YouTube guy that like everybody talks about as the best drummer ever that guy the the guy with the accent and he's all big and strong and that guy
[00:55:19] um I get I mean like the default answer would be like Neil per or like John bonam but I don't know I'm just going to go with larell Lewis you're only GNA get Ju Just number
[00:55:35] one it's gonna be lell Lewis Tim says do any of the 1S WalkSnail boards work with gyro flow unfortunately not but if you run with a WalkSnail board with with in a WalkSnail build
[00:55:56] if you run like the BetaFPV cross AIO like I do that has blackbox on board and so you can set the blackbox to log at like 500 htz I think that'll work and then it'll it'll log for a long time and
[00:56:13] you can use that with gyro flow so there is a way to get Horizon locked footage stabilized footage with 1S WalkSnail builds by Bruce says what's up all happy Father's Day to all the fathers in
[00:56:29] here Steve Jobs says on super high KV Motors on a tiny whoop how should I adjust the pids my whoop will twitch under high throttle lowering the master multiplier helped but I don't
[00:56:40] understand why the higher KV the motor the more power and the more response time that you're going to get from it the higher you push the pids the quicker the response time is going to be
[00:56:55] so the higher KV Motors you run the lower the the less you need to push your pids to the point where this rig on the 702 40,000 KV Motors I run basically stock pids the motors are so
[00:57:13] powerful and so high KV that you don't need to crank the pids up you have artificially cranked the pids up by running Motors that are ballistically
[00:57:24] powerful so that's kind of how that works Walter says no problem we try to help pu says what parts would you recommend for a 75mm jungle gy Basher I already have a HappyModel X12 just swap the motors
[00:57:40] swap the motors and the motor plugs the motors that you want are going to be 1 and 12 millim motor shaft so they're nice and strong my favorites are the igal limited edition 0802 27,000 KVs I
[00:57:53] don't think they're in stock right now but just St them that's it estario lario thank you rocket Tech looks like crom called it as well and then BT
[00:58:08] 2.0 and just fly the out of it man that that the the 1S Mobula 7 elrs is almost the jungle gym Basher right out of the box crom says do you have any opinions on the other whoop friendly
[00:58:22] firm where is Quicksilver emu flight they're fine they're just not as good as BetaFlight betaflight has 20 plus devs working on it and they have been for many many many many many years
[00:58:36] those other firmwares are typically just a fork of BetaFlight so they benefit from the thousands of hours that those devs have put in but then they're usually like a team of one or two people
[00:58:51] and so you as soon as they Fork it's as good as BetaFlight on that day but then the the the 20 plus BetaFlight devs keep doing and they keep improving BetaFlight so as soon as
[00:59:08] that's forked it falls behind immediately sometimes they put a bunch of stuff that is specific to whoops that will make it a little bit better on whoops but the the BetaFlight devs are
[00:59:18] going to catch up and they're going to run right past them so they're super interesting and it's great that they exist and they they serve an incredible purpose of like showing the
[00:59:28] BetaFlight devs new stuff so that they can then take a look at it but I don't really bother with them because like there's you put them on and there's a bunch of learning you have
[00:59:39] to do and then you have to get used to it and then they fall behind and then it's like all right well now I got to go back to BetaFlight and reset up a bunch of stuff and relearn this new
[00:59:48] stuff I find it easier just to run BetaFlight on everything it's the best firmware that they're probably will ever be because it's the biggest open source project in all of FPV and and
[01:00:01] so and when you have a bunch of different rigs you really want to have the same firmware on all of them so that you don't have to adjust as much every time you fly a different one payy
[01:00:11] says dumb question but how do the Cockroach frames V3 and light F actually hold up to 1S lipos they don't have a slot like the mobula frames I rotated the AIO so it would sit between the
[01:00:22] frame and the plugs they're great I I not had any problems they the the V3 uses an extra set of threaded holes on the bottom to double as what pushes the the battery up against the tray
[01:00:39] which is really cool because you can do stuff with those holes that's what she said and then the light AF frame just has little like instead of the holes it's just got like little I don't
[01:00:49] know it's like it looks like this and that works totally fine as well so I have I have no complaint about the way that the all right if if gun to my head I could complain that like every
[01:01:02] once in a while it's hard it's hard to push the battery through I have to like push my finger here and then but like come on that's not a that's not like this is a DIY hobby and that the the
[01:01:18] fact that the V3 frame had like the complaint is that they have threaded holes on the bottom and there are scenarios where you can use those threaded holes so it's a it's
[01:01:28] a really cool thing and so I just suck it up and kind of is what it is ster says pounds the out of a drone stream YouTube just did the thing Cloud Hopper with a $10 Super
[01:01:42] Chat thank you brother he says Happy Father's Day I sent a pick of the 22.9 gram jungle gem where where where live stream live maybe let's look in
[01:01:58] there nope how about General nonsense nope how about toothpick and whoop no where thank you for the Super Chat my friend Walter says he's still there enjoy Father's Day you are the
[01:02:27] best half fast says Source 4.99 mm drill bit me buy one for me I still have a whole bunch or look you can buy one for me for $5 which is the shipping or you can get a set of 10 for like
[01:02:48] 10 bucks on Amazon either or I would love to sell you one because I bought a whole bunch to sell to you guys so that you wouldn't have to pay $10 and have 10 of them for no reason forever you'll
[01:02:59] never need more than one so jump onto my Etsy store see if there's anything else that you want like a sticker or I have some other random Hardware on there and then just
[01:03:08] message me don't don't put the order through Fiverr Etsy just message me all my contact info is on SE fpv.one on an HD zero build and the custom build thing is a totally fair point
[01:03:31] like I believe me I would love to go ballistic customizing every single one of these things and drilling holes in every single little spot that doesn't need to be strong and rewiring
[01:03:45] every little thing but I've been down that road the that is something that I learned in Motorsport actually so there's an amazing documentary called love the Beast Eric Bana yes that Eric Bana
[01:04:02] from 300 from Gladiator he wasn't in 300 he was in Gladiator Blackhawk Down bunch of other stuff Eric banana right the the actor he spent tons of time and money
[01:04:18] building a old school muscle car into a Target Tasmania rally not like rally rally like bouncing through the woods rally Road Rally where there's checkpoints and you have to hit him
[01:04:38] in a in a certain amount of time so he spent all this time and effort years and years and years building this car and the the documentary kind of follows some of that and then he does Target
[01:04:50] Tasmania for the first time with it and blasts it into a tree and the car probably had 2,000 plus man hours into it and in one instant that destroys probably about a thousand hours
[01:05:11] worth of work and so and the the documentary like hits really hard on the fact where it's like what the do I do now do I put all of this time back into it or do I just bail and this
[01:05:26] is a lesson of like don't spend that much time on something that can potentially get destroyed from a mistake right like like spending a ton of time customizing like like I don't know like a set of
[01:05:41] speaker I mean you can blow up speakers though but like if you what I'm saying like spending a ton of time customizing something that's never going to break that's just going to sit there
[01:05:49] and be safe forever like that's one thing spending a ton of time customizing something that you're going to Pound The Living balls out of it's a whole different scenario and if
[01:06:00] there's also a risk of you losing that thing entirely that's even worse right you got 20 30 hours tied into a build and you put it up on a rooftop and it never comes down hurts
[01:06:12] man that's the like the the the rigs that I have lost which are not many it's just so I I almost lost a rig on a on a I I did lose a rig on a rooftop I ended up getting it back weeks later
[01:06:28] but the the thing that hit so I I lost a 5-in rig up on a rooftop first time it ever happened what hit me the hardest was the realization of was a build that I did properly and I and I
[01:06:43] had like 10 15 hours of initially building it and then repairing it and improving it and whatnot it wasn't the money and then the same thing when I actually lost a rig in
[01:06:57] the bay in Charleston it was it was a little bit more money because that had a hero 10 on it so the the the fact that that was like $800 gone that did hit me a little bit
[01:07:12] harder than the freestyle rig but it was also the same thing it was like man that was a really pretty build it was a cinematic rig so it's was like these guys that are like it was the it's
[01:07:25] why ended up building this actually it was the it was the precursor to this rig here which is just gorgeous right because it's a cinematic rig it's beautiful and and
[01:07:40] like that hurts that hurts but all is well that ends well that was my excuse to use this epoxy coated or something I don't know for a very short amount of time Bob from FPV cycle did this shiny
[01:08:02] carbon fiber for the Glides and I had had it sitting around and when I lost that rig I was like okay well to make myself feel better it was like Now's the Time to build this if I lose this I'll be
[01:08:17] heartbroken because whatever process Bob had done for this it doesn't crack like you can just get clear coat and just spray carbon fiber and it'll look exactly like this but it'll
[01:08:30] crack as it as as the arms Bend it'll and it looks like ass when it starts to crack this there was some some really tough process that Bob had done here for this thing so and like
[01:08:47] you know it's just not all mangled like the ends of the arms aren't all mangled the the TPU is not beat to hell so there's that that's my favorite Glide right
[01:09:04] there to be totally honest just cuz it just looks so cool with that with that glossy carbon where was I in chat CIS FV says Happy Father's Day bud I hope you have a good
[01:09:19] one and the same to all the other FPV dads thank you brother BL says Jeff poor Caro I I actually don't know who that is timman says on my Mobula 7v4 frame I get bad Jello from tattoo 450 batteries
[01:09:34] being loose what's the best way to tighten them up tape on the batteries or the frame itself tape on the batteries is is more like reversible or whatever but it potentially adds more
[01:09:48] weight the if here's my recommendation E6000 and you can kill two birds with one stone there the the support there's a support that breaks a lot on that frame and you
[01:10:11] can beef that support up and close the battery Bay down a little bit at the same time so it's this support here that will break and so put a little bit E6000 on the corners of it on the
[01:10:28] top here but then also do that on the bottom and when you do it on the bottom you see how it closes up the battery Bay there it puts that angle on the battery Bay and that will make the the batteries
[01:10:43] fit in there a little bit better that is a real thing and so on this guy on this Frame when I put the batteries in here they're they're harder to put through but they don't wobble all
[01:10:59] around anymore right like normally I don't think I did it on this one oh this is a meteor 65 airf Frame I've I've kind of done it on all of my Mobula 7 V4 frames but I mean here
[01:11:13] well you'll you'll recognize you'll you'll notice this ready see how it doesn't fall out without that in there it would absolutely fall out they're Loose as hell on the on the regular
[01:11:23] mobula 7v4 frames I would not be able to do what I'm doing right now without pulling the battery out and it's just from those little tiny corners of E6000 yes it makes the frame a little bit
[01:11:34] heavier but I'll bet you that taping around the battery adds a lot more weight than just that little bit of E6000 and it's going to make the frame stronger so do that don't get
[01:11:44] too carried away though don't put too much E6000 in there how much is too much I don't know pu said says tiny woop pinch Cam and pound Mount and also what frame for the jungle
[01:12:01] gym Basher leave it in the frame that it came in the Mobula 7 V4 frame and then tiny woop pinch Cam and pound Mount what about them like they're good I I I dig them they're not my
[01:12:18] favorites but they're they're good Cloud Hopper says emailed it ah okay there it is how I get this image out of here that's how very cool that is this is far too
[01:12:36] clean you need to get this outside and start scuffing it up and battering the out of it look at the so oh you're using that is not the sty oh right you had to get thinner wired or thicker wire
[01:12:48] didn't you that is not the stock winding material dude that's very very cool man th this this is kind of the ultimate Jungle Gym Basher right here because 1 and a half millim motor shaft light as hell
[01:13:07] I would switch this to for it to be the the total best scenario you'd have to switch it to an ort antenna that would make it even lighter but this is this is pretty damn close to the actual
[01:13:20] ultimate Jungle Gym Basher very cool very very very cool he says I think my winding is a bit neater but it's still difficult to get it perfect I I kind of assume so that's tough
[01:13:41] that's rad though man very very very cool Cloud Hopper says oh we got that Walter says same story here let's throw away a Honda Goldwing it's over I do something else fre lojo put in the
[01:13:54] cfpv Link in the chat thank you for that ritech says when would I need one of the 99 millimeter drill bits or the pin Vie when would I need one so the 99mm drill bit you're going to use to open up
[01:14:17] your tiny whoop props just a little bit so that there are certain tiny whoop most tiny whoop props are a little bit too small in the inner diameter and so you have to really push them down onto
[01:14:30] the motors and that really stresses out the connection between the motor shaft and the bell and so after you've done that a bunch of times you will push the Bell down through the motor shaft and
[01:14:41] the the mo the motor shaft down through the Bell and the bell will start spinning on the motor shaft that motor is done you can screw around with this Loctite this special Loctite but motor
[01:14:53] is pretty much done so the 099 millimeter drill bit you whenever you get a new set of props you just run it down the middle real quick the pin viice is amazing to hold it
[01:15:04] you don't technically need it you can just grab it with pliers but the pen Vie is here for you I have one left I have one pin Vie with 0.99 and 1.5 mm drill bit left which is 40 bucks
[01:15:19] and so when you get propellers you just put them onto the 0.99 millimeter drill bit and it's going to take the tiniest little bit of material out of it and now when you go to push this onto
[01:15:30] the motor shaft you don't have to jam it on there it's goes on perfectly 99 millim is the right number for it to have enough grip that it doesn't fall off but it doesn't have so much grip
[01:15:43] that you ruin the motor so the 0.99 mil drill bits are magic and then the the 1.5 mm drill bit as well I don't have any extras of right now but I do still have that one
[01:15:55] it's kind of the ugly pin Vie that I tried to heat flame to make it purple and it is purple but it's kind of sloppy the 1.5 mm drill bits are for the 1.5 mm props and since it's I would rather
[01:16:07] have gotten a 1.4 99 mm drill bit but they're super expensive and so what you do with the 1.5 mm drill bit is that you just very lightly put the propeller on and as soon as the propeller is all the
[01:16:21] way on there you pull it right back off you just be a little bit more careful with it with the 099 millimet drillet you don't have to be as careful you can kind of spin it put the propeller all
[01:16:29] the way on take the propeller all the way off and that's it's a double pin Vie too so you run the 1.5 on the one side the 0. N9 on the other side BL says Jeff berario was a
[01:16:42] co-founder and drummer for Toto ah okay fair enough white powder RX beaches says because they are brave who's they who's they that are that are brave ramdo putting a lot of question marks
[01:16:58] Ginger fpvc says who has the best no blackbox tuning guide for f411 based MCU on 431 thanks happy daddy LOL I got two good kids love them to death LOL 5in platform by the way I doubt that
[01:17:17] you're going to find anything that specific like tuning if there aren't many tuning guides full stop there's probably like maybe half a dozen in in total existence so you're just you're
[01:17:36] not going to find one for f411 4.3.1 f like you're you're just not going to find it's just doesn't exist tuning is is fairly straightforward nowadays though we talk
[01:17:50] about it on this on these live streams a lot the the bulk of tuning is done with the I mean the the super easy button to tuning is the master multiplier move it up for a more Locked
[01:18:08] In Tune move it down if the rig if the motors are getting hot or if the rig is just overactive and the tune is too much that'll get you like 90% there just using the master multiplier just
[01:18:22] moving it up and down and you can do that in your OSD you can do it in the field if you want to if you can handle two sliders instead of just one so here's the master multiplier down
[01:18:34] here right if you can handle two sliders instead of just one the top two sliders if you get these dialed in you can get the tune instead of like 90% perfect you can get it to like 96%
[01:18:48] perfect or or even like 98% perfect and basically what you're going to do these are going to start out at one .0 you're going to fly the rig make sure the motors don't get too hot make sure
[01:18:58] it's not acting funny and then you're going to move the the top slider the damping slider for dains you're going to move this from one to 1.2 fly it make sure the motors aren't getting too hot
[01:19:08] if all is still well you're going to move this to 1.4 you're going to grab this p&i gain tracking slider you're going to move this up to 1.2 fly it make sure nothing's weird
[01:19:18] 1.6 1.4 fly it make sure the motors aren't getting too hot make sure nothing's weird 1.8 1. 6 this ratio of the damping slider being2 higher than the tracking slider works really really
[01:19:32] really well I prefer even more Dain so I run a ratio of3 higher on the dains than the tracking it's kind of personal preference you can ignore the rest of this th this is all like extra
[01:19:49] stuff these are the ones the these are the sliders that do most of the work with tuning so I mean that's like 95% of tuning right there the stick response slider is going to tune how
[01:20:01] responsive the sticks are I I like my footage to look smoother so I run this very very very low the the dynamic damping slider adjusts how high the d-gain is going to go when extra D gain is needed
[01:20:15] some people don't like this and they run it all the way down at zero which turns it off I really do like it so I run it all the way up at 1.2 this only becomes active when the rig is in prop
[01:20:26] wash which is pretty rare so this doesn't this doesn't do anything for 99% of the time the ey gain slider you can pretty much just leave at 1.0 the pitch specific sliders are for if you
[01:20:39] have more weight on your pitch axis than your roll axis tiny whoops have a battery that runs front to rear so they have a little bit more weight on the pitch axis on like a 5-in freestyle rig
[01:20:52] that has a big ass heavy GoPro all the way in the front I would run these guys up at 1.15 or 1.2 just to give the pitch axis a little bit more love you can specifically dial that in you do a roll
[01:21:05] you do a roll and you see how it handles it at the end if there's no bounce back and then you do a pitch move and there is bounce back on the pitch you move these up because that's going
[01:21:14] to give the pitch the pitch axis more more Authority more quicker response time more power I hope to hell I wasn't I hope to hell I was sharing my screen when I showed you guys
[01:21:29] those was I was I showing my screen I think I was that right there is the full tuning like 95% of tuning is those first two sliders if you want to get to 99% go and do the rest of the sliders
[01:21:46] like I just told you the last missing pieces the filter settings but I mean the stock filtering works really really really well usually you can take this gyro slider
[01:22:00] gyro filter multiplier slider and move it all the way up and then your dterm slider like if you the higher you move this the less you're going to be able to do on the pids so it's a little bit of a
[01:22:14] dance and for me I would rather I I run I don't go super aggressive with this so that I can go super aggressive Rive with pids the pids make a much bigger difference in Flight characteristics
[01:22:30] than filtering so for me this is the perfect like slightly more than slightly more aggressive than stock filtering filtering setup so that I can then really push hard on the pids but
[01:22:46] everybody's a little bit different with that and I said the stock BetaFlight filtering in like 4.2 4.3 4.4 4.5 is awesome and you really don't need to touch it but if you want to that's
[01:23:00] what she said there you go a dick joke some tuning talk what's not to love let's fly my friends Almost Ready oh I got to get the the split screen thing
[01:23:22] fixed let's open this up here and there we go and right 238 244 235 that should be Center yep that's perfectly centered cool Walter says good pit tuning thanks you're certainly
[01:23:40] welcome Andrew Taylor says do you recommend for slag using throttle limit along with throttle Expo for a fairly new pilot nah fairly new pilot just fly you're you're going to suck embrace the
[01:23:51] suck put a thousand batteries in before you worry about like getting good because you're going to have to you're not going to get good right away it's just it just doesn't work so
[01:24:02] ignore all the tuning ignore all the don't change a goddamn thing just fly break it fix it fly it break it fix it fly it break it fix it fly it break it fix it I swear to God for a
[01:24:14] thousand batteries and then like if at some point you have like an important thing coming up like you're going on vacation to somewhere gorgeous and you're going to bring the quad with you
[01:24:25] sure dive into tuning but if you're going to fields and just flying or just ripping around the house or whatever and there's like no reason that anybody's going to watch want to watch
[01:24:35] the flight footage because for your first thousand batteries no one's going to want to watch the flight footage anyway don't do just focus on flying it's you're you're not good
[01:24:47] enough for your first thousand batteries to even notice these changes that you're making and so just wait just focus on getting as many batteries as possible and keeping the damn thing up in the air
[01:25:02] and and that that's where you want your head to be is how do I fix this how do I build it to be more durable how do I stay up in the air how do I get through those first thousand
[01:25:12] batteries as quick as I possibly can and then you'll be in a place where you can start tuning you can start learning you can start feeling the difference when you add throttle Expo when you add
[01:25:24] throttle limiting stuff the exception to this would be like if you have a setup that's really overpowered like if you put s if if you're you're learning to fly on a tiny
[01:25:37] whoop and you put 702 40,000 KV Motors on it yes throttle limit the out of those but actually motor limit the out of those cuz that's just way too much power so there there's a little bit
[01:25:49] of a gray area there but like most rigs are not so horrendously overpowered and even if the rig is kind of overpowered those first thousand batteries are all about learning not
[01:26:02] getting good just well I mean they are about getting good but like if you have if you have really powerful Motors it's going to be harder to fly and you're going to have to work
[01:26:12] harder so it'll be a little bit more frustrating and your flight footage will look even worse but again nobody's going to want to watch it and you're sort of Swinging with a weighted bat so
[01:26:23] it's not the end of the world if you have a really overpowered setup you're going to be a little bit more frustrated if you're about to quit okay maybe let's let's look at it but like if you can
[01:26:34] just Mash through the worse the rig is the the quicker you're going to learn Believe It or Not rocket Tech messaged on Discord for the pinice awesome it's yours
[01:26:46] brother Walter I'm sorry rocketek says that Walter says micro joint underground hell he also says b and Zen Ginger FPV says and then we got that so there you go you're welcome
[01:27:02] Ginger let's fly my friends I'm going to use the HD zero goggles for a change no I'm not they're all put away they're all put away we're going old school HD3 fat shark for life with the coolest
[01:27:27] strap ever you can't tell me that this isn't the coolest looking goggle setup you've ever seen there's a ped bear on it's got my logo it's got the fat shark thing it's got a bunch of
[01:27:39] t-motor stickers look there's a little GemFan sticker up on top little brain 3D sticker some some love on the bottom here some true RC gnb another brain BQE bunch of t-motor stuff it's got the red
[01:27:53] it's got the purple and it's got the coolest broken prop crew strap ever that's like mainly white come on now come on I'm at like I kind of want to stop using these because I
[01:28:07] don't want to ruin I don't want to ruin this strap I'm like very careful about this strap to not get my greasy ass hands all over it so I'll you'll see me like holding it on the
[01:28:17] inside like this but every time I put it onto my hair I know that this is this is getting kind of janked up so I'm going to I don't know but man I love these goggles so much they're just
[01:28:30] the goddamn best all right we're going to start with 40,000 KV because let's just go all in immediately ain't no ain't no warming up needed around
[01:28:45] here boy oh boy warming up needed around here you'll see you'll see this will be a show guaranteed but that's okay it'll be a fun show is this the right module
[01:29:03] nope I'm going to be switching modules back and forth on these rigs it's going to annoy me be fine though there it is all right so 40,000 KV Motors are a lot this is the rig that I was
[01:29:29] just showing you the sliders on those sliders are fairly backed off let me check and make sure that these motors aren't banged up though first oh the right front motor is banged up it's
[01:29:40] not that bad and the left rear is banged up too so if you armor rig it's actually fine if you arm a rig and it does something like this that's a rig that the pit tune is
[01:30:02] on the razor's Edge it should be able to sit here hear it rubbing up you see it like trying to lift off a little bit this is a pit tune that is on the absolute limit and so if I touch it see how it
[01:30:18] just flies away like if I add anything the pit Loop gets overactive and tries to Fly Away that is a rig that is like on on the absolute limit I'm going to fly it like this
[01:30:34] because I know how to handle that but for the record if if your build is starting to act your Motors are either banged up or the pit Loop is is too aggressive or a little bit of
[01:30:44] each is usually sort of the case so be careful with that that is a build that like if you crash it hard it ain't coming home so make sure you fly a rig like
[01:31:05] that make sure you fly it in areas that are recoverable so I have not flown oh my God 40,000 I've have not flown by blades in a while all right th this pit tune is
[01:31:27] actually a bit much so we're going to back this off a little bit because it's not spinning the motors down at zero throttle so I'm actually going to go down to 0. n I'm going to go down below
[01:31:38] 1.0 and I'm able to do that again because these motors just have so much power and that's a lot a lot better now it's still doing it these motors are two of these motors
[01:31:59] are definitely a little bit beat up Jesus so much RPM oh god oh that was a hell of a hit oh God this is a hell of an adjustment I've not flown a tiny whoop that's this heavy or
[01:32:31] has this much power in a bit so bear with me here oh God I forgot that there was even a gate there oh my God it hit that wall so hard holy hell
[01:33:03] ah going into crash recovery too quick and it's not spinning the props backwards oh my God the fan ate me Teddy spaghetti is right next to me for the record
[01:33:25] battery's done wo boy tedward sped word how are you sir what are you doing all right one battery down man we blasted this thing into the hardwood up there and of course it's
[01:33:51] fine because ultimate freestyle tiny whoops are godamn near indestructible so 18 gram this thing is which compared to 17.4 is quite the difference let's try to get used to
[01:34:12] it though let's just keep going here and we'll try to get used to it the tune is now in a place where it's okay so I mean like right I I I pulled the the tune down quite a bit but
[01:34:29] watch this ready no bounce back no bounce back that the little jiggle was something different no bounce back see that so the the KV of the motors is taking the place of a more
[01:34:53] aggressive pit tune the fact that these that two of these motors are kind of beat up is the reason that we're getting a little bit of shutter there that shutter is prop wash see it that was prop wash
[01:35:09] if I put more fresh Motors on here I would be able to I would be able to turn this tune up a little bit what what's happening what what is going on there it is geez 40,000 is an awful
[01:35:41] lot ah I tried to drop it drop it down through there this is a I love this gate being here but I got to figure out like cool ways to get down into it just missed
[01:35:59] it oh got in there got in there but not out oh boy oh oh all right let's get the let's get the diagonal Mega ultra power Loop oh God it got me fan got me ah not quite
[01:36:32] enough here we go that was it's went in it didn't look great because ah because I I pitched I pitched back a little bit early so that I could catch it and then there was no like
[01:36:55] I'm I need to let it hang more hold on oh all right I was able to get a little bit of downward thrust so it didn't that would have hit the ground like a rod from
[01:37:12] God anybody know what that is our lovely military thought at one point what we should do we should put carbon tungsten rods into
[01:37:27] orbit and then instead of dropping nuclear bombs on people we can just have these rods come down at 110 billion miles an hour and just smash everything in sight wow I blasted this
[01:37:42] battery this battery is now mushrooms here somebody was asking about this yesterday this is how I fixed this all better I've done that a bunch and it's always totally fine and then you take
[01:38:00] the the the battery sideways and you rock it like this because the little edges get like frayed up so put it on your desk sideways rock it and now it's it'll go into the battery tray no
[01:38:14] problem at all man this is hard to fly at 18 gam on 40,000 KV grapper with a $5 Super Chat he says remedial question what amperage do you recommend charging 1S batteries
[01:38:28] same kind of deal as as big batteries 1S if you've got the time 2S 3s if you're in a hurry 4s 5s if you're completely insane we discharge these batteries at like 10s 20s
[01:38:48] 30s and so as long as you don't charge them up you we we ruin these batteries by discharging them like a son of a so when you're charging them it really doesn't make much of a
[01:39:00] difference because all of the abuse happens on the discharge so I never charge at 1S anymore it's just it just takes too long these tiny whoop batteries I typically charge them at 3s
[01:39:14] which on the vifly wopster is .9 amp and you're you're going to kill them discharging them not half fast says need help buying your drill bits don't see link on
[01:39:28] your link tree just message me all my contact info is on the link tree at the top just message me wherever you want Instagram Discord email is up there don't use Facebook I'm not on there
[01:39:47] much that was a quick one so we're going to table the 40,000 and then let's go to let's step it down we're going to go to 36,000 so one step down I doubt that you'll see a difference in flight
[01:40:04] performance to be honest because 36,000 have plenty of power but we'll take a look I I wasn't paying attention to run times you might see a tiny bit more run time cuz I'm doing
[01:40:18] these like Full Throttle moves up there I'm going to keep doing that massive power Loop until I get it so buckle up buttercups this is the rig that has had more abuse than
[01:40:40] any most recently I absolutely battered the out of this at roor Riot Rampage in micro mayam I easily flew I easily flew like 40 batteries there with this
[01:40:58] thing and it held up so what I notice is better throttle resolution since there's less well what I bet you I have the the throttle Expo midpoint set wrong on the other rig
[01:41:17] so that's not a super fair comparison but up towards Full Throttle Jesus up towards full throttle because this is less of a less KV it is going to have better throttle
[01:41:32] resolution so even if the throttle I I need to fix that on the 40,000 KV rig because oh my God that was cool looking so I've been trying to get that so this was my original thought for this Escape is up
[01:41:47] here and then quick little power Loop into it but the first couple times I tried it on the 40,000 KV rig I was like nah there's no way I'll ever get
[01:42:00] that this is just going to be a timing move this is just going to be like how long do I hang on Full Throttle God is that cool looking though it's it's one of those moves it's like
[01:42:13] wait what's going on and then you kind of figure it out at the last second you're like oh that was dope all right back to the full room diagonal okay we're good got
[01:42:34] it this this rig on these motors I think this is my favorite as as funny as the 40,000 KV Motors are and everybody should get a set cuz again they're just hysterical and they they do
[01:42:53] allow you to fly these 65 mil rigs outside I mean you can always fly them outside but like it really makes wow okay it really makes flying them outside a lot more fun they're too
[01:43:07] much they're they're too much for the house these 36,000 and these are these ones are kind of beat up so these are probably actually like 34,000 KV Motors at this point
[01:43:21] this is just right for the Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop this is this is it's not too much it's not too little for me for most people this is still going to be way too much but
[01:43:37] this thing is Magic it really is let me go back to the 40,000 KV rig and set the throttle Expo and the midpoint properly if you're interested in fixing throttle resolution and having much
[01:43:54] better throttle resolution on any of your rigs search on my Channel with the little magnifying glass for throttle Expo and you'll find it I did a live stream where I spent 30 to 40
[01:44:06] minutes really diving in and you have to watch that to understand it if you don't understand it don't use it it'll make the situation worse but I'll show you real quick how I set that and then go
[01:44:19] watch it because this will not be enough but like if you need a if if you've watched that and you need like a little reminder or something or if you're just interested in the difference
[01:44:28] that that can make here you go check this out so as it is the the throttle Expo is well it's pretty close why is this battery dead hold on on a dead battery throttle
[01:44:49] resolution is always going to feel good because there's no power there all right this should be charged and this is a relatively new battery excuse me all right
[01:45:04] so throttle Expo super important for tiny whoops with big powerful Motors there's a charged battery okay know the throttle Expo is not set correctly so take a look at
[01:45:23] how difficult it is to maintain elevation I'm really good at I'm really good at maintaining elevation but you're about to see an improvement the the the thing that I can do that'll really bring this
[01:45:42] out is flying under the bar cart you can already see all these crashes are from me not maintaining my elevation quite right but the one thing that really brings it
[01:45:57] out is trying to fly under there and I don't I don't know if I'll be able to do it so what you do is you fly around at your normal cruising speed and you put your throttle percentage in your
[01:46:09] OSD 27 18 18 20 23 22 21 so you cruise around and you see what your normal throttle is when you're cruising around 21 20 23 18 so it's fairly low and then you go in here you go to profile you go into
[01:46:27] rates you go up to go to the bottom it's just saves you a little bit of time the throttle Expo amount 40 is a really good amount it's a lot and then see the midpoint is 35 that's way too high so
[01:46:39] we're going to go all the way down to 25 and then we're going to try that so that midpoint was all wrong back up a little bit Teddy back up all right way better right
[01:46:54] away but still maybe not quite perfect so we're going to look at the throttle percentage 31 30 25 30 27 28 26 30 so we're a little bit low on it so we're going to come
[01:47:09] back and we're going to do that one more time profile rates up to go to the bottom and we're going to move 25 to 28 and that's probably about right and now I'll be able to control my elevation
[01:47:28] a lot more and it immediately feels so much better and so now I still hit that same thing which is super annoying but now in theory these are still very hard Motors to fly I can get under there see if I can
[01:47:49] repeat it when you get it right you'll feel it now it's still a hot mess but okay okay you'll see getting the getting the throttle Expo set just right is very evident
[01:48:26] [Laughter] Teddy don't just stand there help me you bite it or something I'm stuck under the psvr2 that's all the way stuck now wny not help me why not help your father it's fun Father's Day dog
[01:48:54] help me out man ungrateful I'm a bastard Steve Jobs says is it possible to adjust feed forward on the Fly I don't think so although actually you could what you can do is make a couple of
[01:49:22] different rate profiles I'm sorry a couple different PID profiles and change the feed forward on each one make one with high one with middle one with low and then you're going to
[01:49:36] disarm and you're going to use the adjustments tab in the same way that I set up the OSD profile selection in the adjustments tab there's an option in there for for
[01:49:51] PID profiles you have to be disarmed though you can't change Pit profiles while you're armed so you're going to have to land change it take back off not a big deal
[01:50:07] though so there is a way to do it but you can't like that's the only way to do it does that make sense why won't the battery come out oh because I mangled the end of it oh no
[01:50:21] because of the sticker so there you go that's how to set your throtle Expo properly which makes a massive difference and this thing is now set up properly so now we're going to go all
[01:50:33] the way down to the lightest weight rake well no no no no no no so we will now go from by blades to the HQ YOLO Tri blades so we went 40,000 KV 36,000 KV on the ultimate
[01:50:49] rigs with by blades now we're going to go to 32,000 KV but with tri blades the the HQ YOLO Tri blades and then we'll finish up with the Ultra lightweight rig I meant to work on the
[01:51:08] the chase rigs fart we flew a bunch we flew a bunch let's talk more about the the chase rigs what you would have seen is a little bit more grip and probably about the same amount of power
[01:51:38] from from that setup but it's wouldn't have been drastic the the it's fine it's fine okay so I mean I guess we kind of already talked about these but what is interesting
[01:51:58] all right look here here's one of the things that I wanted to talk about is that these are the VCI Motors the VCI 0702 29,000 KV and these have they're taller much like I
[01:52:18] recently realized the BetaFPV Motors these are a taller motor so this is going to be me giving the meteor 65 airframe one last chance since the motor is taller the propeller will ride
[01:52:36] around the inside of the duct properly and that will make this Frame a lot more durable I believe so this Chase rig here is the Mobula 62 24 V2 with the plugs as you can see and so
[01:52:58] I didn't have another set of Motors to throw in here at the time but I now do and so hold on let's pull these props off I want to get these VCI Motors onto a freestyle rig so I can fly
[01:53:16] around beat what I'm really interested in is how durable the motor shafts are they also make a really decent amount of power I'm kind of tempted to take to leave these on here and then just to put
[01:53:33] the the Mobula 6 canopy onto here but I really like this fxt camera for chasing the RC drift cars so I'm going to leave this thing as it is and I'm just going to
[01:53:48] pull these motors and put them onto something else but these these VCI Motors seem good they they feel very different though like the the throttle like the power curve and like
[01:54:03] where they make power is definitely different than the than the HappyModel Motors so I kind of want to put them on like flying them around the drift cars was just I ended up just
[01:54:16] flying them like a lunatic and I'm really interested in the durability of these because like the people have said that the HappyModel motor shafts are just really
[01:54:26] really weak none of the other Motors though can compare in terms of like power or runtime though and so I'm willing to deal with the the weak motor shafts to get the
[01:54:45] power and efficiency out of the HappyModel motors from the Happ and so I use them on everything maybe these VC are maybe they have good power and good
[01:55:00] runtime we're going to find out on the on the freestyle and so those are off this needs Motors now and I think it I think it's going to be 0702 36,000 so
[01:55:26] 60330 702 30s makes sense to crank this one all the way up and make a bunch of power on this one so this is going to be 702 36,000 let me grab a set of those I think I
[01:55:42] have them over here is maybe hopefully I have a fresh set so that this cinematic rig doesn't have any vibrations I think I do let's
[01:56:00] see you guys in here they are awesome all right cool so this will be great because this is the this is the best one the best Chase rig that I have mainly
[01:56:19] because it's got the the the camera that I like the most although I'm gonna I'm gonna be swapping cameras around on some of these other ones so that the camera difference might and I
[01:56:31] I think I have another one of the fxt cameras but with a normal plug on it so I think two of these are about to have the fxt cameras on them I have to figure out which one's which
[01:56:43] but the the this is just me continuing to dial these Chase rigs in right I mean I've been I've been dialing these things in for the past like year literally
[01:57:01] and this is just sort of the continuation of that so these are tiny whoop Firefly 0702 36,000 KV Motors what do I have these things props in or props out so this one's props in this
[01:57:20] one's props out this is 30,000 KV 30,000 KV props in I'm going to run this props in and so what that means is the non Red Dot is going to go motor one and this way I won't have to change
[01:57:45] the change the motor Direction in in BetaFlight it's not a big deal not a big deal at all but it's just kind of one of those little tiny things that of course being what she
[01:58:02] said okay hockey R says it's easier to turn throttle Expo off before you start looking for the midpoint that is true but as you as you turn Expo up it kind of affects the the midpoint a
[01:58:20] little bit so you there always needs to be not always but there usually needs to be that second pass of dialing the midpoint in the sort of like the rest of the way
[01:58:37] I guess you could say there's the little red so the red the the red mark on the plug header and you can't see it but it's there designates either clockwise or counterclockwise I forget which it is
[01:58:56] but motor if if you want to run props out put the Red Dot Motors on one and four if you want to run props in put them on two and three or just don't worry about it and
[01:59:11] use the motor Direction Wizard and it takes 15 whole seconds so definitely not a big deal all right and there's two that was a DOT motor so we're going to go no dot over here it is 501 I'm about to shut this
[01:59:43] mother down I think that's about everything I wanted to kind of talk about with these I am going to be moving this no I'm not I was thinking about moving this to 40,000 this is the walks
[01:59:58] nail Chase rig but I don't know about that I don't know it's so heavy that I'm not going to flip the whole point of running High KV Motors on these Chase rigs is to try to like dance around the
[02:00:10] the the little RC drift cars but man the WalkSnail rig is so heavy that like I tend to not do that I tend to just kind of fly it like a cine whoop which doesn't a great job of so I
[02:00:25] mean hell actually maybe I'll go to lower KV Motors on there and really lean into that and really get as much throttle Expo as I possibly can out of it what I mean because I've
[02:00:38] had these 36s on it for a while and they're fine but I don't know that rig is so much more difficult to fly because of the extra weight so anything I can do to make it easier
[02:00:51] to fly and adding throttle Expo with less powerful Motors is a definite option I could certainly just motor limit these down and leave them but like I have extra Motors floating around you
[02:01:05] know like I have 0702 32000 just sitting right here and this has got all the red so that's exactly what I'm going to do I'm going to throw these motors at this rig and
[02:01:20] then it'll be all ready R and black and that will just satisfy me more than most other things on earth so there we go SWA the motors on these this guy is now ready to go back and
[02:01:37] Chase and give us some excellent light footage of tiny little RC drift cars doing their thing never leave Motors unplugged because you will absolutely forget and then you'll get to
[02:01:58] where you're going and you'll be like what the hell why doesn't this work and then when you realize it you'll be like wow I'm the dumbest person on earth maybe that's just
[02:02:16] me always plug them in though and God forbid like something cool is happening and you need to fly it right away you'll be screwed tiny whoops are kind of man like there you can fly them
[02:02:31] anywhere anytime and so oh wow that was weird that motor plug just bent quite a bit that was a little scary like if something really cool is happening it doesn't matter what
[02:02:51] it is it's a tiny whoop you can throw it up in the air and look down at it like a neighbor's house is on fire whoop that Bro there's a helicopter shooting the
[02:03:04] traffic from above your house go hang out with them he won't mind you won't be able to get anywhere near him it'll blow it'll blow you right out of the air but still stand back and
[02:03:16] get a little little tiny whoop footage of a helicopter come on now like going somewhere real quick just want to bring it with you make sure it's ready make sure your
[02:03:26] whoops are ready to go that's my advice there it is good to go all right friends I'm going to go celebrate Father's Day with my dad CU he is the
[02:03:43] best you guys are pretty good but he wins off access dropping seatt fv.com link thank you dude Walter says if you change Motors don't you have to change on flight controllerBetaFlight
[02:03:56] it depends if you if you pay attention to the dots then technically you don't have to because you're going to put the correct rotation Motors in the correct rotation
[02:04:10] spots and you won't have to do that the problem can come in where like so this rig had another set of motors on it I don't know what how I had those set up so I actually do have to
[02:04:25] plug this into BetaFlight to check but all I actually need to do is go to the motor Direction wizard and then just hit save because I set these motors up properly well I I did also set them
[02:04:38] up for props in and I do want to run props in so I actually have to do that as well but if you do the same thing on every rig you wouldn't have to so there and no not mode Motors
[02:04:52] motor Direction I understand the risks Wizards start and spin and I can just stop and close because I set them up with the dots in the right spot and now I mean I I will just double check so
[02:05:04] I'll be damned they're spinning the complete wrong direction they're all spinning props out okay reverse everything I just said I don't know man it has to do with the ESC settings too maybe this ESC
[02:05:19] is set to spin backwards but in this case I actually have to reverse all of them or maybe I I screwed up with the dot but now they are fine it really doesn't matter doing the dot in the
[02:05:33] right spot is a is a really silly thing but it's one of those things where it's like well I mean I can it doesn't take any time to just look at the dot and then
[02:05:44] put the motor here versus there versus everywhere all right we're now good it's props in it's all set 36,000 KV I'll throw some by blades on it and we'll see how it is next time I'm
[02:06:03] out I'm going to throw one byblade on it to remind myself that it's props in because I've learned that the hard way and it's just annoying like look you don't want to take stuff on and put it
[02:06:23] off any more than you have to with these rigs we're constantly screwing around with them testing stuff so do it try to do everything at once or try to do
[02:06:37] nothing I don't know how to say what I'm trying to say but I think most of you understand what I'm saying try to work on them as little as possible if you don't have to take props
[02:06:46] off don't take props off if you don't have to unscrew screws don't unscrew screws and so what I don't want to do is leave this with props off forget that I have it props in put a set of propellers on
[02:06:59] props out it won't take off and then I have to tear it apart and put it back to props in right that's putting a full cycle of props on props off to the motors for no reason do it right do it
[02:07:12] all at once props in now and everything will be fine know what I'm saying that's a that's something I actually learned back in airsoft days I used to take apart airsoft guns and upgrade them
[02:07:27] and then after a while everything was stripped on them and it's like well what the hell I don't know where to get some of this stuff and so I learned to try
[02:07:42] to not unscrew unless you absolutely have to and then also like try to do multiple things at once like try to wait to just wait until you got like two things that you can
[02:07:56] do and then do both of those things at once or die trying thanks for hanging my friends I love you bye I'm not ready Happy Father's day here comes some more flying from
[02:08:13] that Atlanta Autos gig I hope that you enjoy see you guys tomorrow night a n n
