[00:02:24] hey friends my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti welcome to your worst nightmare welcome to fart bag Friday fresh build Friday we're going to get started
[00:02:37] on I need to pause this we're going to get started on the siren F3 from quad mola quad mola quad mola I think it's quad mola siren F3 split build starts tonight what do you think of
[00:02:55] that there it is the footage that you were just watching is actually this little tiny emac tiny Hawk is that what it's called hold on I think it's called the tiny Hawk yes tiny Hawk 3
[00:03:17] plus actually what it is is a tiny Hawk 3+ plus it's a it's a tiny Hawk 3 seiti FPV edition in case you were wondering I'm going to fix the it showing 110 billion not fix but help
[00:03:36] it showing 110 billion Mah in there this scale is set wrong wait no is it the the amperage meter scale the amperage meter scale is what drives that Mah used and it is way wrong I'm
[00:03:50] going to put a one in front of the current value and that's going to make it a little bit better probably not better enough I'm going to put a two in front of it take it from a scale of 179
[00:04:01] to 2,79 and that'll be a little bit better and then the next time I fly it when I'm done flying it I'll take a look at the Mah used and see if it matches up to the batteries so the this guy was
[00:04:19] practically unflyable right out of the box box mainly because of the antenna this emac antenna that I've now cut opened is absolutely worthless and hands down way worse than a regular
[00:04:36] old whip antenna so if you have any emac rigs or if you've bought these little red headed antennas from emac throw them away immediately they are just useless I mean you could cut
[00:04:51] the head off and then you've got a section here that you can use to make your own super lightweight antenna or even a little faux micro but do not use this antenna I cut it open
[00:05:07] Brandon's baked beans was likeyou got to cut that antenna open you won't believe what you find and he was right I could not believe what I found that is probably not there it goes you
[00:05:20] see that in there nothing over there nothing over there nothing over there that is what you think it is it's just a piece of flat metal like who who the
[00:05:43] hell thought that a flat piece of metal would be a good active element for an antenna Whoever thought that should be fired immediately th this is this is heavier than a whip antenna this is more
[00:05:59] expensive to make I'll bet you than a whip antenna this is the worst antenna that I have ever run into by a huge margin in eight plus years at this point of FPV this is awful awful awful and
[00:06:18] I only didn't throw it away well what let's do this to it because I I might actually use this someday to make an antenna with it that is that is what you should do with your
[00:06:30] emac red plastic headed antennas is to cut the the head off because this is the worst possible active element ever this right here would probably work better as an antenna than that if you
[00:06:45] actually wanted this to work decent you could just strip it down a little bit and expose some of the inner element and I guarantee you no matter you wouldn't even have to measure it out just expose
[00:06:55] that inner innermost strand of wire and it will work better than that awful flat piece of metal that they had inside of there I I'm so unbelievably confused at that antenna
[00:07:11] design that is just rotten so there you go an opening rant this thing really really impressive now that I've done a couple super simple things I took that antenna off and I replaced it
[00:07:28] with an ort micro V and I didn't even like do a good job I just plugged it in I didn't take it apart I just kind of snuck it in there and plugged it in and then I just stuck
[00:07:41] it in the back it's not like held down all that well but instantly from doing that it is completely flyable the next thing I did so these motors on here are
[00:07:56] 12022 7,000 KV and this guy runs on 2S out of the box it comes with this little pH double two double pH 2.0 setup which unbelievably was not that bad and then it came with two 650mah 1S batteries
[00:08:17] and it really wasn't that bad the runtime was really good because 650mah 2S is a is a big old battery but it was heavy and it didn't fly all that well it comes with the really good emac
[00:08:29] Rush 2 and 1/2 in Tri blades but those propellers are really good on a 1404 they are not really good on a 1202 and a half this is way too small of a motor for that big heavy draggy of a propeller
[00:08:43] these are HQ t65 Lu PCT Mount antennas I just read what that says since Logitech can't make a [@$#%] camera that focuses worth of flying [@$#%] these antennas are a
[00:09:04] great match for these motors and completely wake this thing up oh by the way I I swapped on an XT30 just to get get it off of pH 2.0 the biggest change in performance
[00:09:16] that I made was the antenna the second biggest change in performance were these propellers I'm also going to try this on these GemFan 65 65mm s and regular GemFan 65mm by blades but I bet you
[00:09:33] it's best on these guys because these are the most durable out of these three propeller options this thing flies really good in this current setup switch the propellers put an actual
[00:09:47] antenna on it switch it over to XT30 or BT 3.0 whichever and then run smaller batteries on it the flight that you were just watching was on this Talon you can't get this anymore but
[00:10:02] you can probably find a 2S 350mah battery that's what you're watching there it got a little over 3 minutes of runtime on this then I ran it on this 2S 450 it got 3 and 1 half minutes on
[00:10:15] this then I ran it on these 550s and it got all kinds of runtime you got to figure it out for yourself little boo I'm working for the next like two hours I got nothing ask Sage to help what is
[00:10:25] thatu what is that the security tag that they put on it I got stuck no you have to take it back to the storeyou can't just R it off no grab the receipt and you got to take that back to the
[00:10:40] store that'll break go away go away I'm working I'm working Break it just will that's got to go back to the store save your receipt and the store will take it back off these two 550s I got
[00:10:52] like over five minutes of runtime with I kind of couldn't believe it but so the these are too big you don't need 5 minutes of run time 2S 450 is probably the sweet spot you're not going
[00:11:04] to be able to get this battery anymore because heli nation made these I think it was and unfortunately they are gone 350 would also totally work a 2S 350 3 minutes of run
[00:11:19] time is great these batteries lighten it up quite a bit so we've lightened it up with a much smaller battery HQ 2 and a half inch by blades proper functioning antenna absolutely
[00:11:34] any antenna just get it off of that awful one that it comes with and then switch the I mean you could actually continue to run it on ph 2.0 just get just get smaller batteries it does not
[00:11:47] need 2S 650 milliamps worth of juice there you go friends I am like I said I am really impressed by this little thing the camera admittedly is not great but again it's analog so it masks
[00:12:05] the fact that the camera Is Not Great by the fact that it's analog but if you really wanted to like keep going down the upgrading path on this rig I would swap out the camera next don't
[00:12:19] really know what I would swap it to but it would what I will say about this camera is it's very lightweight but it's worth it's worth an extra gram or two to swap the camera out
[00:12:29] you're going to save a bunch of weight from the from running smaller batteries but man I I'm really blown away by this thing so I got after I got used to it this is actually
[00:12:41] on the heaviest battery but this is kind of like after I got used to it a little bit's like it flies really decent here a little bit more and I'm going to get caught up on Chad here I'm going
[00:13:00] to leave it muted because I'm talking over it dude by the way the the microphone on the HD zero goggles works really really well really really really well for the record I think ailia might have stolen
[00:13:15] that little necklace and I'm gonna I'm gonna catch her ass in It Maybe not maybe not but goddamn kids oh I also pushed the tune way way up I've got the the top slider the Dain slider all the way
[00:13:35] up at 2.0 pni slider is at 1.7 and then I think I even moved the master multiplier up to like 1.4 in the process of doing that I realized something that's actually
[00:13:49] really here you go oh this is me actually adding throttle Expo I had already pushed the the pids up in the process of doing that I kind of realized something that like
[00:14:01] I've known for a long time ago a long time now but I don't think I've ever actually shared it and it's kind of an important thing which is that you can tell the response time of a motor and
[00:14:20] propeller combo by how high you have to push the pids to get rid of prop wash if you you've got a rig that with stock 1.0 sliders is like kind of sloppy and it doesn't really fight prop wash all that
[00:14:39] well that is that's your first sign that that rig has shitty response time and you kind of should fix it by putting more powerful Motors on it or going up in battery voltage you can also
[00:14:56] Band-Aid it by cranking the pids way up as long as there's not a lot of electrical noise and as long as there's not a lot of vibrations getting in to the to the
[00:15:07] gyro this rig is a good example of one I was able to do that on the the pit values that I have this thing at are astronomical right now but it's clean electrical electrical
[00:15:19] noise wise and the frame is strong enough that there's not a lot of Vibes getting in and I was able to really push the [@$#%] out of the pids so if if you've got a rig that you have to
[00:15:30] push the pids way way way up on that's a build that the the combination of motors and propellers is not like perfectly optimized it's also a sign of a rig that's kind of like a long range
[00:15:44] rig you've got a really lightweight really small motor on there and so that's something that that rig is going to do really really well so I don't know what else to say
[00:15:57] about this thing the the other propellers here the the GemFan 65mm by blades are significantly lighter than these HQ props and so they might I might actually have to back the tune off
[00:16:14] because I have the tune set up for this weight of a propeller this is ballsy [Laughter] ready fully blind full commitment I I was sure that I was going to be way higher this was
[00:16:36] scaryI had tried that power Loop twice before and didn't get it high enough and just like bailed at the last second and almost put it into the trees so on this one I was like I'm just
[00:16:49] going to really be patient and really really really wait and it'll definitely easily clear the trees this time and I just happen to get lucky if that had gone into the top of that
[00:17:00] tree it would still be there now this thing is so lightweight that it's just not coming down out of any trees this is also a couple of batteries in when I had crashed a couple times and
[00:17:13] realized what I'd mentioned on the last live stream which is the nightmare of toothpicks which is that every pretty much every single time you crash you have to take the walk so the flight
[00:17:24] style that I've kind of developed with this thing is don't crash don't fly hard so that you don't crash so that you don't have to go chase the damn thing down it's just the these
[00:17:34] lightweight rigs with no prop guards every time they crash and there's anything touching the propellers they don't have the power to push that thing out of the way and so Turtle mode won't
[00:17:45] work and or you won't be able to take it back off flying it in through the bushes there is super difficult here's an example no I think it was there's there's one of the
[00:17:56] rare times that I was actually able to take it back off after a crash and it was just because I crashed it onto concrete if you crash onto grass or like anything or if there's grass nearby
[00:18:07] you're you're taking the walk it's very frustrating tiny whoops make a lot more sense for outdoor stuff here's an example of it's just in the pine straw I took it off I made the mistake
[00:18:20] of disarming it and now there's anything touching one of the propellers and that's it's game over got to take the walk so for like flying in fields and stuff nah man these guys don't make any
[00:18:34] sense let me weigh a couple of propellers real quick and I'll give you a really good example of what really transform the the propellers are what really transform the way that this thing
[00:18:46] flies the the props that it comes with again they're The emac Rush 2 and 1/2 in Tri blades I love them on a 1404 any motor smaller than a 1404 really don't have the grunt for those props
[00:19:02] those propellers are 4.4 gram for four of them right 4.4 gram these propellers that I have on it right now are 2.23 gram for four of them so that's where the biggest performance
[00:19:23] Improvement came from right and also reminded me and I'm actually going to do a live stream about this which is the most important part of your build is the propeller motor combination it
[00:19:39] will make or break a build the the GemFan 65mm by blades are 1.84 gram that I'm going to try next and then the GemFan 65mm s byblade are these are per
[00:20:03] four all these weights are for four of these props these guys are 1.7 gram for all four so these could be even better they might not though they might not be better because
[00:20:21] this is kind of a KV limited rig 7,000 KV on 2S with a 2 and2 in prop is it's kind of enough but not quite enough I would definitely want like I always want like 89,000 10,000 on 2s
[00:20:40] these HQ propellers are a nice thick blade so even though it's a by blade it actually makes really decent power these guys here these GemFan props now that I look at them man the blade is not
[00:20:54] that much different I I I thought the blade would be thinner but it's actually not but I think there's a lot less pitch there's a lot less pitch let me compare it on this side so these gem
[00:21:08] fan props are a lot less pitchy oh wow maybe not on let me look they're a little bit less pitchy Logitech is not going to play ball but oh there it goes see so it is a little bit less pitchy so this
[00:21:31] propeller might not make enough power for the KV of these motors both of these propellers are the right weight for a motor of this Stater size so a 1202 and a half motor this is the right weight
[00:21:46] propeller for it the props it comes with are way too heavy for this size Stater this KV though [@$#%] you Logitech oh my God [@$#%] you forever this
[00:22:03] KV is more for like a triblade propeller but the tri blades are too heavy for the stator size right so there's this Crossroads of propeller like prop it's actually a
[00:22:18] four-way Crossroads propeller length propeller pitch and how many blades it has motor size motor KV and the the voltage that you're running is also kind of factored in there as well
[00:22:31] but that crossroads needs to be right for the rig to fly really really good and out of the box this thing has the wrong propellers and a useless antenna boy you fix those two things
[00:22:44] though and this comes alive like massive massive difference and I I flew these four batteries yesterday and I actually had a blast the the the last two batteries the 2 s550s they ran way
[00:22:59] too long and by the end of the battery I was like kind of done so 2S 550 is way too much but 2S 350 and 450 on this thing is just like awesome really really cool little rig a little bit
[00:23:13] more testing and then I'm I think I'm going to do a whole live stream about this actually emac was kind enough to send it over I did a live stream about the the other
[00:23:26] one where did it go here it is I did an entire live stream about this guy which was very fun it was really cool to fly this around the house and see what you can actually do with it
[00:23:37] this thing is available if you're interested in this great little beginner rig with three of these 1S 650 batteries let me know shoot me a message I've also got a set of happy
[00:23:52] model but they're branded as newbie drone 0802 20,000 KV Motors if you've got a 2S tiny whoop these motors will blow your tits off and I'll I'll send them to you for practically nothing so
[00:24:09] if you want they say newbie drone but they're actually made by HappyModel 0802 20,000 these are the same 0802 Motors that HappyModel still makes the the and I have a set of the these
[00:24:21] in 19,000 KV they're the same thing on the 2S walks s rig and they're they rip like I'm not going to leave them on there but as a test I was really impressed by them so if you want
[00:24:34] to do a super ultra light 2S rig 2S like 75mm tiny whoop these motors are actually really really good let me know if you're interested cool I can move this guy out of the way I I was really looking
[00:24:49] forward to telling you guys about this it just blew my freaking mind I'm going to charge these batteries up one more time so I can do the propeller testing what else is
[00:25:07] happening in the chat wait hold on let me put a little bit more of the flight footage up while I'm going through a couple other things here here it is on the 450mah battery this is this is
[00:25:20] the right battery for it I think and okay in the chat Smoking Dog Kujo is first Ramon Cloud Hopper crom Frank Nicholas Jay deags Curtis Hayes Bob noxious what's up Bob how are you man
[00:25:34] Bob noxious is killing it over on Facebook you guys should follow his ass he's on an amazing life and slash weight loss Journey that's just awesome so you you love to see it as the kids
[00:25:47] used to say Elias Striker italian-made man Gusto Scotty Scott Northern Tier Ram Dono Douglas 6 Walter vanen ORD big whoop FPV crom Walter ramono MCM mucus Spaceman
[00:26:04] spliff it's actually spiff but I'm gonna say spliff every time from now on cloud Hopper what's up everybody LOL the kidson ramono Brandon's make beans who else do we have fun
[00:26:20] perol this thing flies great right MOS 16 bit I think I got everybody Zoe 101 Shane and Mindy Cole Powers Andrew Taylor stealth fighter lots of people here what's up
[00:26:39] everybody there's one of the there's one of the attempts oh buddy I am super lucky that I turned that thing around when I did because that would have been at the top of that tree for
[00:26:56] sure Jesus I it's doesn't like so this is a perfect example this is it on the by blades with the right weight battery and it's still like look at this power Loop Full Throttle Full Throttle
[00:27:08] full look I'm going to tell you when it's full throttle and Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle off like and I had already raised altitude quite a bit like even on these HQ props it's
[00:27:22] this is what I'm saying it's too low of a KV 7,000 KV is a little too low but if you fly it around like not trying to throw it up over trees and whatnot it's actually really fun and this
[00:27:35] is an older rig right this is the the tiny Hawk 3 which is probably a little over a year this is the kind of a BNF that like around Christmas this year might be like
[00:27:48] $50 and if I paid 50 bucks for this rig and did these couple quick mods I would be totally happy it's infinitely quiet no props in view it's got a bunch of uptilt out
[00:28:04] of the factory that was a that was a hard hit here's another scenario where it just can't do anything there's like individual pieces of grass in front of each propeller and it just can't push
[00:28:14] them out of the way that's not just this rig that's all of these 1.6 in 2 in 2 and A2 inch even the 3-in toothpicks like this is this is one of the main problems with
[00:28:26] them and to be honest I think this is is why a lot of people stop Flying toothpicks because it just gets kind of old going for the Walk of Shame over and over and over and over again this
[00:28:37] quad Mulla build that we're going to do is where like I kind of graduated to from these types of Toothpick builds and one of the great things about like a heavy 200 to 250 to 280 gram 3-in build on
[00:28:56] like nice big 144s in my case I'm going to do it on these 1 155s these motors up on 4S have enough to push grass out of the way and you actually have a chance at
[00:29:11] Turtle moding this thing over that being said if you crash one of these 3in fors builds in Tall Grass you're taking the walk that gets into one of the things that's great about 5-in builds is that
[00:29:25] they have tons of power and they can almost always push enough grass out of the way to take back off even in Tall Grass sometimes they can't but you can almost always flip them into Turtle
[00:29:38] mode spin the propellers the wrong way to chop the grass up or just mat the grass down or just push the grass out of the way and then arm it and do a Quick Throttle blip and usually that throttle
[00:29:51] blip will then be enough to get it up out of Tall Grass so there's that in the chat if you want to talk to me all you got to do is tag me type CiottiFPV don't put a space in there and spell it
[00:30:03] right you can do that with each other if you want to get Bob nox's attention into your chat message type bobnoxious space RX and then it'll his name for him will show up in Orange just like when
[00:30:16] you tag me my name shows up in Orange Bob noxus did it and said what's up fam Cloud Hopper did it and said I got my 2023 Mobula 6 from Black Market FPV and it has a cadx ant instead of a
[00:30:29] RunCam nano3 so disappointed that's weird although I think I've heard about that I think just recently somebody told me about that Striker also says that was the tiny Hawk and then a curse
[00:30:42] word I'm try I I try my best not to curse I already said [@$#%] like 14 times but I I it's somewhat conscious in my head LOL the kesen says do you like the flyfish vx3 I don't know what that is
[00:30:58] what's what's a fly fish vx3 is that a thing it's a thing what is it oh the Vol the volador i' pre the the the most recent time that somebody asked about this I incorrectly said that
[00:31:22] it's too heavy I said that because the weight that they put on here which is 68.3 grams or 70.5 gram for the 3 in and the 3 and a half inch these are the weight with the TPU Parts but then they
[00:31:44] don't tell you what the weight is without the TPU Parts which is insane because the TPU Parts on this thing are unbelievably heavy like obnoxiously heavy and when you take the TPU away
[00:31:59] this is not that heavy of a frame I forget what the actual weight is but like like this big TPU panel here get rid of this this is probably like 10 or 15 grams of TPU this is ridiculous
[00:32:12] get rid of this unless you're when you're not carrying a an action cam probably get rid of this little chin piece of TPU get rid of these rear arm guards you almost never smash the rear
[00:32:24] arms up you always smash the front arms up and then this is way too big of a chunk of TPU for an antenna get something more minimal off of thingiverse this seems like a
[00:32:35] totally decent frame I don't know if the arms hold up I don't know how it is to build but like without this TPU the weight of this Frame is not like obnoxious and it does have removable
[00:32:47] arms which is super rare with 3 in three and a half inch builds so the the volor vx3 VX 3.5 seem like a really half decent kind of build I'm I might get one
[00:32:58] someday I should have got one while I was waiting for the for the siren F3 but I'm a snob and I want to buy quad Mula that that frame is so cheap that it's seems like it would be trash and
[00:33:12] when you're a snob you just you see that way too heavy bit and then you see how cheap it is and you're like nah ster says can you quickly explain again how to remove that metal thing
[00:33:30] from the whip antennas you pull the just try to do it you you you'll you'll figure it out you you cut the shrink wrap off and then you use the you'll see there's a little bit of solder on the
[00:33:40] top there you just use the tip of your soldering iron on the top of the metal thing where you'll see that there's solder and it pops right off couldn't be easier just try if you try to do it
[00:33:49] you'll figure it out Elias tagged me but didn't say anything now he said something on the comment previous he says what do you think about the race mode on WalkSnail
[00:34:02] especially for a tiny whoop I know it doesn't lower the latency but but a lot but the latency consistency is better thoughts even any reduction in latency is like awesome and the race mode is
[00:34:17] great I didn't even realize it but I had been running race mode previously so when I did the live stream talking about upgrading updating my WalkSnail stuff to use the new new race mode we
[00:34:30] realized that I I'd already been running it in the in the lower latency race mode it's great it's lower latency than any of the other HD systems other than not fat shark
[00:34:46] Jesus hd0 although hd0 is technically digital but it's more it's kind of like I consider hd0 like Anna Anna Anna digilog there it is hd0 is digilog as far as I'm concerned yes it is it is
[00:35:07] technically a digital system but it there are so many there are so many things about it that are more analog than digital in in a good way in in a in a good way this is not me bashing on it
[00:35:19] but when I say digital I when most people say digital they're really kind of talking about DJI three WalkSnail proper digital we can call it not really snob snob digital snob
[00:35:40] digital walks now race mode is great one of the really cool things about walks now race mode is that it does not affect what the DVR records in so there's kind of no reason
[00:35:56] to like everybody should kind of be running the the race mode because the DVR on board is going to record in whatever the full quality is in the case of the the little WalkSnail light
[00:36:08] setups on board it's recording 10860 which is amazing and then in the goggles you get the lower latency of whatever the hell the race mode is 540p or something and it still looks
[00:36:21] great I don't think it's 540p but whatever doesn't matter what it is so the the walks now race mode is is is awesome it's really really good and everybody should be running it as far as
[00:36:31] I'm concerns Walter says Logitech is okay incorrect Logitech sucks a big bag of donkeys Shane and Mindy hell FPV RC says help please built a 6S 4in gecko well there's your problem micro should
[00:36:45] only be for us and on throttle the props sound like me trying to roll my R speaking Spanish trilling I guess what do I need to check props are new greatly built
[00:36:58] there are propeller well so 6s is an awful lot and so what could be happening is that the is that you're you're sending those propellers so much power that they're flattening out so try a
[00:37:14] different propeller first that's the quickest and easiest thing to change you can try backing the pids off it could be either too much electrical noise noise or too many vibrations getting to
[00:37:29] the gyro so if you've cranked the pids way up if it's on anything more than stock pids with the sliders right down the middle at 1.0 put it onto stock pits go to like pit profile 3
[00:37:42] which is going to have the stock pids and try it if it's a vibration if you try one or two different sets of propellers and that doesn't help if you bring the PID sliders back down to one .0 and that
[00:37:58] doesn't help even though you said that it's greatly built it's there's probably a problem in the build your soft mounting on the flight controller is messed up you've got something pushed up
[00:38:10] against it or you've got the bolts cranked down too tight to where the flight controller is basically hard mounted you've got screws loose somewhere you've got Motors that are
[00:38:19] out of balance or banged up or just garbage Motors that are out of out of Bounce out of the box you've got an arm that's delaminated or something so there's an awful lot of
[00:38:33] things that it can be but the first thing you want to do is try a different set of propellers that's the quickest cheapest easiest and then if that doesn't help you can kind of take it
[00:38:44] from there but there you go there's a bunch of stuff that that you can try Andrew Taylor says have you tried attaching a diopter on that Logitech cam plus one or plus two it might help
[00:38:55] your autofocus wo I haven't the the autofocus problem though is the software the the the software that is driving the autofocus for this thing sucks and it's just not
[00:39:12] good at at finding contrast autofocus is driven by contrast lights next to darks and it's but I mean it's a webcam it's it's a $100 webcam I'm expecting too much from it but it
[00:39:30] is it's also an old it's an old autofocus webcam and that's in that scenario I should be expecting nothing from it Zoe 101 says what's up Bob noxious says thanks RAM dco put a whole bunch
[00:39:48] of emojis s it's just s s dot says what size frame would you recommend for some 1202 5,600 KV Motors 2in toothpick but you're going to have to run a ton of voltage 5600 KV is
[00:40:10] way too low of a KV for that small of a motor so you're going to have to run like 3s so see if you can find like a 300 M 3s battery look at you
[00:40:29] gnb so this is the battery that you want you want the lightest possible 3s battery that you can find and it's probably going to be 300mah if there's also a 350mah so it looks
[00:40:45] like there's also a 350 that 300mah battery might suck so you might as well also buy this 350 it might be a little bit better run them both see which one I mean the 350 will run a little bit
[00:40:58] better no matter what but like if the 300mah is awful and then this 350 is good what when you get the the when you get down to like 300mah 250 MH 350 M that small of a pouch of lithium
[00:41:15] doesn't really perform all that well anything below 450 450mah those pouches be that one pouch for One S two of the pouches for two S three of the pouches for 3s right this
[00:41:29] is how these batteries work at 450 they perform really decent and then as you go down from 450 they perform worse and worse and worse and worse these folded cell
[00:41:43] batteries have changed the game a little bit and they've really helped with that when you get a battery with an XT30 like this when you get like a multi- cell like a 2S or 3s battery like
[00:41:55] this they're not folded cell these are all what Chris Rosser calls Tootsie Roll style batteries and with these tootsy roll style batteries like I said anything below 450 and a lot of times it
[00:42:10] doesn't run all that well but you're going to have a really small motor there 122 and a half is a pretty small motor so you might actually be able to get away with this and the
[00:42:23] weight of the batteries is going to be the biggest problem for that rig so you're going to be best off getting the absolute lightest weight 3s battery you can which is going to be
[00:42:34] that gnb3 300 or this the rdq batteries are also gnbs 350 so get these two batteries 300 3s 350 3s do not get these luminer batteries do not get this spectrum battery you need to get a
[00:42:51] g&b battery oh my God is there a tattoo it's the old school tattoo though if you can find a tattoo rline 3s 300 that's another good battery gnb and tattoo rline are really what you want here
[00:43:07] and you want 3s 300mah you also want 3s 350mah anything bigger than that anything higher MH than that is going to be way too heavy for that small of a motor so that's what you want to
[00:43:18] do do a do a race day quads order and get one or two of these 300s get one or two of these 350s and that's going to be the right battery for that motor and then for the frame you're looking for
[00:43:31] the lightest weight 2in toothpick style frame that you can possibly find I don't know of any but I'm certain that they are out there Bob noxious says Ciotti turned his nose up at fly up to a fly fish
[00:43:46] frame I did I really did ramdo says nobody detests 1S some people do plenty of people detest tiny whoops this is the moment that nobody's been waiting for somebody's been waiting for
[00:44:12] it quad Mila siren F3 split weirdest packaging ever but fancy fancy schmancy Packaging that's all the audio I'm going to give you there you go it's as if you opened
[00:44:47] it yourself oh it's not ripping on the perforations oh look at that it's almost ripped perfectly on the perforations almost perfect do you feel like you you you bought it and and
[00:45:03] opened it yourself now because I did that no well then why does everybody make such a big deal out of it oh they're just idiots oh okay all right got it close
[00:45:15] enough oh hold on let's see if we can get a sound out of it hold on not bad not bad that's interesting piece of wire and a capacitor what do we
[00:45:45] got moo you can you can use it for that you can moo into it you can scream into it's works like a pillow that's good all right we got some value out of this packaging maybe I'll hold on to I'm
[00:46:05] going to hold on to one of these and then I'll put all the spares in there because I did get a bunch of spare stuff I got a whole extra frame for spares and then I got a bunch of other
[00:46:14] spare stuff so we've got a little package with it looks like the base plates and whatnot all right take a look here see I didn't open this on mailbag because we had a million things
[00:46:34] going on so I'll give you guys the full the full glip glop Walter says great D cabaca says ever tried running a 2S AO on 3s or is it guaranteed way to end your aiio if
[00:46:53] I had one with blown and fets I'd give it a try but both my X12 are still alive it's pretty it will pretty much destroy it they have like shunt resistors and they just have [@$#%]
[00:47:05] on the board that is specifically designed for the voltage range and if you exceed that voltage range it'll just it and it's not even fun it just you plug the battery in and it just never
[00:47:14] works again so don't do that this would be the rear section of the base plate I'm assuming and then we've got the front plate of the split base plate and then we've got the top
[00:47:31] plate so this is going to sit this is going to be the rear here cuz it's skinnier and then this is the front plate so this is going to sit you can see how it lines up there
[00:47:44] right see how it like perfectly lines up and so they're going to sit with the arms in between this is going to be no it's going to be like this so it's going to be like that
[00:47:57] and then the arms are going to be between and this is going to be the nose over here on my right your left and this is going to be the little ass and then the top plate runs the
[00:48:08] entire length obviously so we got that got a little bot oh that's nice that's really nice so you probably can't read it but it says bottom plate screw pack that that is a nice little thing to
[00:48:29] do but backup screw pack look at that cloud Hopper with a $15 Super Chat he says hdlc might not catch fire fun thank you brother very very cool of you very very cool 20 goes up to
[00:48:44] 35 that rig is actually ready to go I just didn't have a chance to get it into betta flight so we won't fly it today but we will fly it motor mount screw pack that is this is really cool I've
[00:48:55] actually never seen a company label the screw packs to help new people out that's actually really really nice top plate screw pack oh and there are some different
[00:49:10] screws in there too that is really helpful that's got to be a pain in the ass for them but that is super helpful here's the little bag of standoffs and then we've got stack screw
[00:49:24] pack here and there's a piece of like PTFE tubing in there that I don't necessarily understand why I do know why oh that's cool we'll talk about that when we're doing the
[00:49:41] build damn okay quad Mulla is paying attention they they are going above and beyond I'll be honest I I would I would prefer that they keep stuff in stock more often
[00:49:57] and not do really nice stuff like this but at some point I'm sure they'll figure out how to keep stuff in stock and then we won't have to even think about this anymore there a
[00:50:08] little pack I just opened up this is the piece that locks the arms in in between the the top and bottom plates and then these are the camera plates here I wonder which one I just opened up did
[00:50:20] I just open up the WalkSnail one oh they just give you regular analog camera plates and then in the box there that's right there's some other stuff little battery pad little custom cut
[00:50:34] battery pad for the top plate that's going to sit and then this would be the arms and the arms are so on the website they make you pick 9 M 9x9 motor mounting or 12x 12 motor mounting
[00:51:02] these arms are slotted though which is awesome so you can do either nine or 12 these Mamba TOA Motors are 12 and yep I just wanted to confirm that so these are 12 x 12 manting they're going
[00:51:17] to fit on there just fine and then the arm protection I I would love a little bit more arm protection than this here's where you can really kind of tell I'll put it up against my
[00:51:30] forehead so if you hit here it's the motor if you hit here the arms are going to catch right and the arms are going to protect the motor so that on on hits like this this this this this this
[00:51:42] this this this you're safe but once you get here all these hits are going to bang the motor Bell and with micr Motors if you hit the motor Bell on concrete it's over it's the the motor
[00:51:54] shaft is bent they are not Able Motors so the one Improvement thus far that I would say and I knew this going in is to extend these little devil horns here to protect the motors a
[00:52:07] little bit like the Glide this is one of my favorite things about the Glide builds is that the the the ends of the the hell are the Glide builds oh that's right I put them in bags but the
[00:52:21] the ends of the arms are like nice big loud and proud devil horns so the carbon is what hits the ground not the motor but this is actually more motor protection than most micr frames micr
[00:52:36] frames really miss the miss the memo in that respect and pretty much none of them have any motor protection which is good for performance right like by not having any motor protection on
[00:52:51] the ends of the arms you make the end of the arm a little bit lighter and that makes the rig FL better but we crash and this style of micro gets flown outside and gets crashed outside
[00:53:06] th this is a really really nice battery strap but this is also a really heavy battery strap it's big thick material and it's got a metal buckle on it you do not need this much battery
[00:53:20] strap for a micro let me show you what I mean by heavy guess how heavy this is in the chat hurry up how much do you think this battery strap weighs this is really nice
[00:53:32] like canvas material too I will not be using this battery strap I will use this battery strap somewhere but certainly not on a micro 30 grams Walter Jesus that's it
[00:53:49] ain't that heavy all right you guys are all way overestimating it's five grams but a plastic buckled thinner battery strap which will hold a 4S 450 totally fine will be like 2 gram and on a
[00:54:05] micro saving three grams is legit if you can save three grams on a micro save three grams for sure man this is a quality battery strap though I'm blown away at how nice this
[00:54:20] is I'm going to put it in my bag which I do with most battery straps so there you go there's your unboxing the only other thing I need to grab is the WalkSnail mounts cuz this oh no so here's
[00:54:33] some of the extra stuff oh what it is they they don't I'm sorry I misspoke they don't make you pick the B nine versus 12 on the arms they make you pick 9 versus 12
[00:54:50] on the arm guards that's my mistake that I was I was wrong about that and so I got the 12 x 12 I think I got both I think I got a set of both maybe not these are the 12 x 12 arm guards that
[00:55:02] I've got here what did I do here I made like a second bag of stuff what did I I don't know what I did here I guess these are the spare parts is this a bag of spare parts is that what I did I
[00:55:17] think that's what I did I did a bag of spare parts he I can put these in the in the tube though look at this wrecked branded prop bag that's some fancy [@$#%] right there is't
[00:55:34] it I can use this for spares this is the 03 camera and VTX Mount set actually I'm going to stack them all up this is the little GoPro Mount that I'll probably never use maybe
[00:55:50] probably never these are the 9x9 arm guards not going to use those on this build I don't know if I'm going to do a second one of these builds or what I might just leave this second one for
[00:56:03] spare parts this is a set of the regular camera mounts and the the center locking plate Just a Spare Set this is a spare set of arms and then this is a spare front base plate
[00:56:18] section and so these can all go in the tube that's pretty nice actually look at that would you just look at it would you look at that would you look at that would you just look at
[00:56:45] it anybody that doesn't know what I'm talking about just Google it Google would you look at that guy would you look at that guy that's what you're going to Google I guarantee Google finds
[00:56:56] it it'll send you to YouTube It's a YouTube video you'll laugh it's funny would you look at that would you just look at it I'm going to leave this open because I'm going to
[00:57:06] need to put more shat in here so we are going to use two of these arm guards the front two and I'm going to as always leave the rear ones off so pull two of these out and they also give you this
[00:57:20] fancy schmancy hardware for it which I'm really looking forward to quad Mula figured out that with TPU when you tighten bolts up against TPU it Jacks it all up it squishes it and it it
[00:57:38] just it's all bad you can't get the screws all the way tight so they went ahead and designed these little stepped collars which will bottom out on the carbon so you put this little stepped
[00:57:52] collar into the armu and I mean admittedly this is the worst thing you can possibly do for weight but it's does it is very effective to do this hold on I need to do
[00:58:04] this off camera the hell it fits in there really tight so I'm going to have to do it on the quad I think let me give it one more try try to push it against the side of the desk
[00:58:20] here maybe that'll there it goes so they're going to sit in there come on you jerk there it goes so they're going to sit in there that is super
[00:58:34] slick and then see so it goes through on the bottom so the the little stepped spacer there is going to push directly up against the carbon fiber so I'll be able to crank these screws tight really
[00:58:46] really nice touch but admittedly this adds a bunch of weight to the ends of the arms which is not good for performance but the there's always a balance of durability and
[00:58:59] performance and so you all have to make that decision on your own if you're willing to sacrifice performance you can get a bunch more durability and then you can reverse that too
[00:59:12] sacrifice durability and you can get performance sacrifice performance you can get durability and it really does make a difference there we go that one pushed in a little bit easier so this
[00:59:23] is a really cool design man this is and I I love that they only did it for the outer two screws if they' done it for all four screws that would be a total waste of weight so they were
[00:59:35] they were probably thinking about weight when they designed these and or just logically saying like there's no reason to have the arm guard B on the inside it doesn't accomplish anything and they
[00:59:43] added this little raised part which is going to act like a little foot which is super cool I can probably use a pair of pliers to push these in I'll bet nope no I can't I just made one of them
[01:00:02] look like [@$#%] though that's nice come on you little bastard get in there okay well I tried that is very cool that is a very cool touch where did the rest of the okay
[01:00:25] so here's no that's the hardware I need for this where's the where' the extra Hardware go was there not oh there it is separate little bag okay good so this is good this
[01:00:36] can go back in the in the thing all right this is there it is this is the walks now Mount Set so it's a nice little piece of TPU for the double antenna set up it looks like they give
[01:00:56] you another one for the single antennas for the single antenna WalkSnail s and then they just give you a set of screws which leads me to believe that the
[01:01:09] included camera mounts here are going to work totally fine so that is pretty awesome here's the little front bumper piece which I think I am going to use for right now just for a little bit
[01:01:22] extra durability at some point I can pretty much guarantee you that I take this off well I mean we'll see we'll see what the all up weight is I'm using big heavy Motors but they are really powerful
[01:01:33] Motors so we'll we'll see I'm going to take this out under the assumption that I am going to use it I'm going to save the bag though because I'm a bag saver and then this I don't
[01:01:47] this says sf3 oh siren F3 siren F4 AU light Mount Au _ light Mount I I don't I don't know what that is it's got a couple of single antenna TPU setups and it's got a bunch of
[01:02:09] really long screws what the hell is this Au _ light Mount what is that hold on so when I did this order I bought the 03 is it HD zero Me Maybe I bought the H the the
[01:02:32] 03 I bought the WalkSnail setup auxiliary SC Cole says auxiliary light mount air unit good call crom air unit this is for a regular air unit thus the long screws th thus the
[01:02:55] the extra long long screws and the single antenna mount good call good call and that makes sense there's not a camera mount in here because it's a 20mm camera and it'll work with these
[01:03:08] included camera mounts good call air unit I'm going to write that on there because there's no way that I remember that or as Ian says it air unit air unit
[01:03:26] there we go all right in to the box maybe we'll do a DJI one at a later date but right now we're doing a walks sale one so there we go there's all my
[01:03:46] spares love it all right am I still caught up on chat no Striker says what motors are going on this Mamba TOA 505s they are unfortunately a discontinued motor it's probably a good thing that they
[01:04:02] were discontinued though because the bells fly off the fly off the motor shafts they are and they're also a little too low of a KV 3,800 KV I'm going to have I'm going to struggle to
[01:04:16] find propellers that are pitchy enough for these motors but I'm going to give it a shot if you have these motors you probably want to like preempt L use a little bit of Loctite 638 which is
[01:04:29] what I'm going to be doing with these I'm just going to kind of like dribble it down the the outside of the motor like I'm not going to take the motor apart to do it but I'm going to take
[01:04:40] like a toothpick well let me show you let me show you what I'm going to do I'll just do one right now so I have this toothpick that has like a really sharp tip I guess you could just take like an
[01:04:56] xacto knife and make your toothpick a little bit sharper but you want as little of this material as possible and I don't even know if this is going to like seep in there I'm I'm
[01:05:10] just assuming that it will I could totally be wrong but this is this in theory will help the situation and not make it worse but what I'm planning on doing is hold on let me get like a little
[01:05:29] piece of garbage I can dribble this on there we go all right so and I I've I've not done this before In fairness so this might not this might not work but the
[01:05:47] current plan that's not going to work I need I just need a flat piece of plastic that is is going to get thrown away here I'm just going to use one of these prop bags all right so here's the
[01:06:04] plan I'm going to do this on all these motors I have a bunch of these motors little bit of the Loctite 638 put the tiniest little bit on the tip of a
[01:06:19] toothpick and then you don't want to get it in the that's actually too much I want less than that there we go and I got to do this with magnification or I'm going to [@$#%] it up you don't want to get
[01:06:34] it in the in the screw holes there I mean as long as you don't follow it up by putting screws in there it's probably fine but still you want to just get it where you need it which is the joint
[01:06:49] between the motor shaft and the the Bell itself so just down there as careful as possible and just kind of spread it around I'm just trying to like push it in there you
[01:07:13] know to get it to kind of gloop down in there and now I'm just going to try to do a little tiny bit more what you cannot have happen is you cannot have this [@$#%] get down into the
[01:07:31] bearing it will ruin the motor so less is more if you're going to try to do this and that's it so that's what I'm going to do to these to try to get them to hold up a little bit better if the
[01:07:49] motor shafts still fly off the Bell as long as I can C find the bells I can remove the motor shaft and then do this properly but I have enough of it out here where I can do all four of
[01:08:05] these I think I'm doing a much worse job on this one because I'm trying to rush it but this locktite 638 is magical stuff it's really worked well on the on the tiny whoop
[01:08:33] Motors In fairness though on the tiny whoop Motors when I've used this it's been after the Bell has flown off and I've and so I've put it back together with this stuff in there and it
[01:08:52] has and so that will get it to be between the the motor shaft and the bell which is really what you want doing it this way I don't know if it's going to work because it's not getting in
[01:09:06] between the Bell and the motor shaft it's just getting up on top so I don't know I don't know if this is going to work as long as I don't get it on the bearing
[01:09:20] though this shouldn't make the situation any worse I did a good job on that one you really don't need much maybe it'll seep in there maybe it won't even if it's just on top here it
[01:09:41] it should add a little bit of strength I know I said I was only going to do one but I have enough of the stuff out on this plastic bag to do all four all right there we
[01:10:09] go there's all four of them done there's a chance that I just ruined all four of these motors if this stuff seeps down into the bearing all four of these motors are
[01:10:17] ruined so I really should have just done one like I said I was going to but why make good decisions when you can make bad decisions am I
[01:10:33] right all right so there it is if you have a set of these TOA 505s expect that the motor shafts are going to leave the chat or sorry the motor bells are going to leave the chat that's just what
[01:10:47] they kind of do unfortunately Loctite 638 friends have a bottle of this as it says retaining compound it retain it be it be retaining [@$#%] this ugly sticker on it can I peel
[01:11:06] this ugly sticker off oh I can hold on hold on man this bottle looked heroic sitting up hold up oh no I can't peel the sticker off there it
[01:11:20] is Loctite 638 heroic retaining compound Mr Lon says why not putting some on the C clip because the C clip is not the problem the problem is that the Bell which has the propeller bolted
[01:11:40] to it comes off it makes these motors make so much power that it rips the Bell up and off the motor shaft and so the C clip has nothing to do with that also if you put this stuff down here on the C
[01:11:54] clip it would almost certainly seep up around the SE clip and weld it to the to the bottom bearing so you wouldn't want to do that anyway these motors make great power but
[01:12:10] they're a little low of a KV like I said earlier and I think they got discontinued because the bells were ripping off we'll see if this is any better I'm not going to fly this thing
[01:12:22] unrecoverable for a while to put a of abuse into these motors to see how they hold up Frank Nicholas says Loctite is anerobic only works in the absence of oxygen putting on the surface you'll
[01:12:37] probably find it's still wet for several several days and not bond that sucks I'll I'll keep an eye on it for sure though damn well hopefully some of it seeps down if I have to just wipe it
[01:12:51] off after a couple days I that's fine Walter says move the Bell a little bit up and down so these have not failed yet so the Bell and the motor shaft are still solidly mounted together
[01:13:05] when you grab a motor and you pull up and down on it and there's a little bit of movement that's not the motor Bell moving on the motor shaft that is the motor Bell and the motor shaft moving in
[01:13:18] between the bearings or bushings so moving pulling it up and down like this doesn't do anything because like I said the the motor Bell is probably like laser fused to the to the motor
[01:13:35] shaft I believe that's one of the ways that they that they attach those two things sometimes they do a better job than other times King dingling says what 1 millim
[01:13:48] motor for 2S lightweight 85 yikes you're not able to crash that rig on a 1 mm motor shaft that right with HQ ultr light 1 mm Tri blades 2in Tri blades I have a set of those I'm meaning
[01:14:05] to use them 2S BT 3.0 300 MH hglrc petrol 85 frame Spectre AO look looking between newbie drone 0804 definitely don't do that or VCI 82.8 that's a good choice or
[01:14:25] t-motor 0 803 that's a good choice as well the Newbie drone 804 is a terrible motor size that is a ratio of two to one so that motor is going to overheat really quick it makes Crazy
[01:14:38] power but it's going to just melt your batteries and the motor itself might melt it is Too Tall of a motor and it is not wide enough to keep itself cool VCI 82.8 are great the t-motor 03s
[01:14:55] will probably also be really good they might not be big enough Motors though between those two I would go with the t-motor just because of the extra point to 803 might not be a big
[01:15:09] enough motor if I were doing that build I think I would do the beta it depends on what the bolt pattern is on the frame but I think it's a three bolt frame so I would probably end up
[01:15:21] doing the BetaFPV 1102 whatever the lower KV is and that's so that that's what I would do 803 I think is is perfectly matched for 75mm buy and tri blades once you go up
[01:15:38] to 2 in you need a little bit more so either that t-motor 803 or oh you need it to be a 1 mm motor t-motor 803 is the way I would go if it needs to be 1 mil t-motor
[01:15:58] 803 Walter says you have to slide it over the shaft you do indeed chronic nuggets says there is definitely a bit of more experience when I put my siren F3 together but it was actually a night
[01:16:13] and day difference between building this Frame versus my micro alien so much easier nice Fu I missed a bunch of chats here Fufu Panda says what's good sorry for being late my Ultimate
[01:16:25] Freestyle tiny whoop build fell in a pole of water oh what is it about crashing [@$#%] tiny whoops into the dog and or cats bows and or the sinks put that thing in front of a fan for 24 hours and
[01:16:40] it'll probably be good to go Andrew Taylor says Au equals c and somebody spelled it the way Ian pronounces it air Unite where was it there it is airu nit te all rightlet's get to work God
[01:17:03] damn it what should we do I I this is one of the first times ever that I haven't gotten a frame and then immediately sat on the couch with it while there's a movie or shows or what
[01:17:18] or YouTube on and piece it together and dry fit the whole thing it's a complete waste of time doing that boy is it satisfying to do that but it's a total waste of time to do that the
[01:17:32] reason I say that is because I I I believe that the best way to do a build with removable arms is to build it from the inside out resist the urge to put the arms and the motors on
[01:17:49] first even though that is the most satisfying thing to do because the just get in the way and there's there's kind of like you could make the argument that
[01:18:00] like that allows you to put the ESC down first and deal with all that [@$#%] and then build up from there but like building it from the center out you don't even really need the ESC you just
[01:18:13] put the flight controller down and then you deal with your receiver and your VTX stuff and you do all that here and then you can take that off and then you can put the and you don't have like the arms
[01:18:25] bolted down to it you don't have the motors in the way [@$#%] stabbing you so you can kind of handle that and then when you're done with that take that [@$#%] off right because
[01:18:35] the flight controller is just going to connect to the ESC with the little cable so you can take that up and out and then you can do your ESC and then the whole top Center section is ready you slap it
[01:18:45] down you plug the ESC in and Away you go it might not matter to be totally honest it's might be the same either way but I don't know once the motors are on there it's just
[01:18:59] it's just more annoying to have them and you're not going to like put them on and then take them off that's the arms and the motors right like once they're on you might as well leave them
[01:19:07] on so we're going to I've done a couple of builds sort of middle out and it was it worked really really well I'm realizing I am going to have to push these little
[01:19:20] these little spacers in so hang on putting this thing flat against the side of the desk and pushing absolutely with all my might it's actually pushing my chair back I could do these in the vice but
[01:19:38] that's that seems like Overkill just need something flat here we go here we go this is the answer I haven't used him in a while what's up old friend let's Hammer some [@$#%]
[01:20:03] Hammer is not the answer the hammer is unfortunately not the answer my friends what if I put it against the arm will that make it any easier
[01:20:25] I could put a nut on the other side of the arm and use that to pull it in let's do that they give you these nice little com conical m2s wow no I can't even do that the m2s are not long enough to peek
[01:20:41] through the the carbon of the arm but maybe now that I have it like this it'll it'll be easier to push in there wow no it is not it does not want to go gez the the TPU is it's is what's
[01:21:11] fighting it the the TPU is just very like the TPU is tight like a tiger my friends get in there wow that does not want to go let's try the other
[01:21:36] side other side won't even go through there it goes all right let's see get in there come on W yikes oh my God 1505 Striker they're discontinued motor damn let's try this let's just
[01:22:10] stretch the holes out a little bit TPU is is unbelievably malleable so I'm just taking these pliers and just kind of working them around in
[01:22:21] there I bet you that works I don't know which one I just did though this one let's see come on kind of worked hold up I'll do them both so put the pliers in there and then
[01:22:46] just pull a little bit stretching it out the other thing you can do is just push it because the the Pliers are tapered look at that right there's one oh that fixed it that worked
[01:23:07] okay that now we're going to find is it the the the inner stepped part or the outer stepped part that's fighting if it's the outer stepped part that won't have helped it helped a little
[01:23:26] bit but the outer part is definitely still fighting ah there it goes know it's the inner part that's the problem cool so there you go if you get this and you can't get these little stepped
[01:23:38] washers in here just open the holes up a little bit with the set of pliers in the TPU don't try to use the pliers to mash these things in it didn't help at
[01:23:49] all did anybody watch the the the new season of Umbrella Academy is it just me or was it like kind of [@$#%] I guess it was okay I don't know I never really loved that
[01:24:05] show ah there we go nope Noe Noe not quite boy these are fighting me wow this one does not want to go in there let me try one more time all fact just like liked it Umbrella
[01:24:34] Academy like I didn't I I don't know if I didn't like it but like I didn't love it how about that but I didn't not like it like it was okay but I don't know this this the
[01:24:47] most recent season just seemed kind of all over the place bookthis is this is nutty this is nuttier than squirrel turds right here what about if I use a screwdriver
[01:25:06] to push down I should not be using the expensive MIP drivers for this though maybe we'll use the hammer after all let's use the base of the hammer push this thing
[01:25:31] on nope ow I've got three of the damn things on I just need to get the last one through here chronic nugget says do you game much outside of racing stuff I leave Day Z on for hours and hours like
[01:25:55] I'll set my guy up in in my base and just like lay him down so he's not going through much food or water and I'll let it sit over there on the TV like I'll even turn the TV off and I
[01:26:07] just want the audio and I'll and it lets me like listen for cows and deer and [@$#%] that I can then go murder Andor people although I play on a Daz server that's like pretty much all PVE there's
[01:26:19] there's like a PVP Zone but it's mainly player versus environment but I don't like actually play the game all that much like I only actually play the game for
[01:26:30] maybe I don't know half an hour a day or so but the game kind of sits on it's like the weirdest way to play but that's really it's that and gt7 and I I really
[01:26:48] try to spend as little time playing video games as as I possibly can just just cuz like this is being Your Own Boss running your own business whatever the hell I'm doing
[01:27:01] here is hideously time time intensive and so I gave up video games forever I gave up video games for FPV to be really honest I was super into Minecraft and Diablo
[01:27:20] I back before I found FPV and then I really just all but completely stopped I I did revisit Diablo II when we first moved in here and aelia was like strangely interested in it there we
[01:27:40] go so I put them on the side of the desk and I just used these to kind of push and I don't know all of a sudden it worked but stretching the TPU out definitely did help all right so those
[01:27:49] guys are good now so I I just I I don't I don't play much video game anymore which is fine that's by choice this is cool this is actually very cool I want to show you guys
[01:28:07] this there's some there's some really smart stuff in here so you guys have seen this style of antenna mount before right this is very similar to the antenna mounts that I run on most stuff
[01:28:24] one of the problems is clamping this antenna down is clamping the antenna wire down and having it not loosen up and I I used zip ties for that but they have just printed this
[01:28:48] little thing here which slides right over it that is super cool that is a super cool little solution to that problem we'll see if it actually works once the antenna tube is in there
[01:29:04] but that's a neat that's a neat little setup there I dig that I like it a lot all right super Lux says you can do both you should game with me on Tuesday and we can try to speedrun Minecraft all
[01:29:24] my gaming is done on a PS5 which immediately eliminates any ability to game with anyone else ever because nobody apparently I'm the only one that has PS5 on Earth
[01:29:34] I haven't figured out a way to do both the the the times that the the I just I've not figured out how to do both and that's fine that that's totally fine but I get a
[01:29:50] little bit of I get a little bit of gaming in it's all good I'm happy that's what that's the point is to do things that you enjoy not just things that that make you money cold front
[01:30:02] and panging with a $5 Super Chat thank you brother he says can I use only the dynamic Notch with help of blue jay's ESC config so first and foremost blue jay's ESC config and the dynamic Notch
[01:30:16] have pretty much nothing to do with one another instead of the B the bidirectional dshot in BetaFlight on an f411 AIO that is a tough question to answer because it's kind of doesn't make
[01:30:33] any sense the dynamic Notch filters are there to filter out vibrations the the bidirectional dshot filter filtering does that same thing Blue Jay's ESC configurator and
[01:30:52] configuration is there to dial in the ESC settings which have nothing to do with filtering or the gyro or the PID Loop or really any of that the ESC settings only really have to do with
[01:31:06] like power delivery once the voltage is sent once the the so the ESC gets voltage from the battery and it gets signals from the flight controller and then it takes those signals and uses
[01:31:20] those to interpret how much juice to send to each battery basically in the process of doing that it sends RPM data back if you have the right version if you have a new enough version basically of the the
[01:31:36] software on there it sends that data back to the flight controller so that it can do things like use RPM filtering and the RPM filtering is the best filtering that FPV has ever seen period and so
[01:31:55] what I'm going to read into the question a little bit and hopes that I can answer the the question that you maybe meant to ask or like what you're really wondering what I think you're
[01:32:06] wondering is can you not use RPM filtering and just use the dynamic Notch filtering and the answer is yes but you're going to have to run like additional Dynamic Notch filters
[01:32:24] not even are they called Notch filters in there what are they called in there hold on plug anything in actually an old newbie drone rig here see what they're called and I'll give you guys a
[01:32:45] visual too so of course I pick the one rig that doesn't have bidirectional dshot turned on there we go save and reboot all right all right so in filter settings it does say Dynamic Notch filter
[01:33:10] so the default settings so for example right I just turned on RPM filtering in the motors Tab and when I did that it reduced the dynamic filter the dynamic Notch filter count how many of
[01:33:27] these Notch filters there are to one when you turn off B directional dshot and it removes the RPM filtering it automatically changes this to be either two or I think it's actually three
[01:33:41] Dynamic notches these three Dynamic notches are not going to work quite as well as the gyro RPM filtering in most cases but they still work so you can still do that if for some reason you don't want to or
[01:33:57] can't use the gyro RPM filtering will it do it here hold on let me see if it'll automatically do it here ah there you go it also I didn't realize that it also changes the Q factor the the the
[01:34:14] the Q factor is how narrow the filter is so the higher the number the more narrow the filter the less effective the filter is the gyro RPM filtering is so good that the dynamic Notch filter goes from
[01:34:29] 3 to one and it also becomes more narrow so there's a nice little visual for you as to what things look like when you don't use the gyro RPM filtering so if you have your if you
[01:34:43] have the dynamic Notch filter set like this three notches 300 Q factor this is a little bit High because it's a tiny whoop this number doesn't usually need to be this high
[01:34:54] but if you have your Dynamic Notch filter set up like this you shouldn't also need the gyro RPM filter makes sense my is here okay cool have fun little boo you have everything you
[01:35:06] need all right good awesome her friend was able to pick her up great so there you go good question brother I see Brandon's baked beans is in the is in the chat if you have any even more
[01:35:20] if if you need more help he's your man he knows more about filtering and BetaFlight than I do I know just enough to get by and to get tunes pretty damn good just Mo says
[01:35:34] just finished being a RAC what being a racist today but tomorrow I'll be a freestylist popped in to see how you're doing LOL that's a strange comment previous comment from just Mo says I
[01:35:47] usually alternate weekly between FPV and video games need to start doing FPV fulltime if you if if you decide to do FPV for a living you won't be playing much video games I'll tell
[01:35:58] you that much Walter says I enjoyed your GT GT session for your dad I did too man I I I love racing in there with him we were actually just in there yesterday for about an hour ster says
[01:36:09] what is the budget end of sim racing I want to get into it and consider and am considering trying in in real life racing if you want to try in real life racing First Mortgage
[01:36:22] everything because is just outrageously expensive prohibitively expensive even like the cheaper forms of Motorsport like autocross are still like wildly expensive
[01:36:35] to get like a half decent Sim rig you're going to spend almost a thousand bucks my setup is one of the cheapest setups that closely enough mimics the the the real world you can get a sim sim setup
[01:36:53] up for $300 or $400 but it's going to be junk and it's not going to last very long the the less expensive stuff breaks and then the $2 $300 that you spent is gone and you have to Reby so
[01:37:08] don't do that the problem you're going to run into is actually they don't make this steering wheel but what you want to look for is either direct drive or belt drive for the love of God don't
[01:37:19] get anything gear driven that will fail so you want belt drive by thrustmaster typically or you want direct drive by either thrustmaster or Logitech I think maybe has a direct
[01:37:32] drive the direct drive setups are so beefy that they're they they will hold up but and then for the seat the cheapest seat that's actually half decent is the play seat
[01:37:46] challenge and then you're going to spend some money on the on the the software side of things and whatnot but that's pretty much the the cheapest sort of
[01:37:57] setup super Lu says I have a PS5 oh my god do you really Jesus add me on there I'm cfpv I think I might be I'm G to type it out into the chat I might be
[01:38:14] this I might be that oh no it's all lowercase hold on I think that matters s e a HH te E I think that might be what I am on there although I I kind of feel like I changed it I
[01:38:27] feel like I changed it to C FPV on there whatever we'll we'll we'll connect on there oh super Lux says I think we're already friends on there got it Walter says Logitech steering wheel what
[01:38:41] the hell I know it's they fall apart they're gear driven and they fall apart all right cool we're good to go let's dive in how in the hell is it 8:41 what happened hold on I I put
[01:39:06] six batteries in the title of the stream we got at least fly to # two batteries is what I should be putting in there we're going to go 75mm because I don't have any smaller
[01:39:18] batteries charged and we did get started with the quad mola build it starts with the stupid [@$#%] putting spacers in putting washers in doing all that nonsense so we've started on that
[01:39:34] build I'm going to fly this heap of garbage not a heap of garbage it's kind of a heap of garbage this is a meteor 75 BetaFPV BNF that I've swapped the motors I've swapped it over
[01:39:49] to flywoo Robo 102 23,00 500s on the GemFan bblades and I'm going to prove to you that you can fly inside the house with 75 it's not great but it is doable try not to crash because it's
[01:40:11] going to hit hard enough to break [@$#%] super Lux says he's live in 20 minutes I thought I thought you started later on on Sundays very cool after me you guys can go get some Super Deluxe
[01:40:27] yo chronic nugget says don't don't know how long it's been since you've looked at Sim stuff but fitech and Moz are the current top dogs for Budget direct drive Wheels but their version of
[01:40:37] budget is very different than thrust Master's version of budget fitech and Moses stuff are great don't get me wrong fitech needs to figure out their [@$#%] how to run a company though
[01:40:48] Jesus they they apparently don't have anyone at their company that understands how business work and it's really I'm surprised that they didn't go under from the the
[01:40:58] debacle earlier this year and last year but I mean they they both make fantastic stuff but they're super expensive H not super expensive they're just they're very expensive
[01:41:12] thrustmaster used to make the T300 oh that's not good we are Grays screened thrustmaster used to make the T300 which is what I have and it was incredible for the
[01:41:29] price I I would I'm tempted to say to try to find a T300 used but the problem is if it's been used for like hundreds if not thousands of hours it's going to be tired and you're not going to want it
[01:41:42] so buying non-direct Drive steering wheels used is a is is tough you can get yourself into some garbage so all right here we go oh my God the dog just trampled all
[01:42:06] over everything to try to get at the whoop and now he doesn't care what's this on the ground oh my God the dog kicked the the the why can't I remember what this is called the
[01:42:19] dog kicked it's was all the way over here and this bad dog this bad bushy dog kicked it this is oh boy this is a meteor 75 with a motor swap ah let's get it upstairs and stretch its
[01:42:45] legs oh it's dark up here oh [@$#%] oh boy crash recovery hook a brother up woo with enough o that was a vicious hit with a bunch of pit gain and a nice lightweight set of
[01:43:11] propellers this thing is flyable boy is it heavy though the the BetaFPV meteor 75 canopy camera VTX setup is just a tanky son of a [@$#%] oh boy we are dangerously close to
[01:43:33] the dog's bowl this just hit that table so hard the noise that came down through the floor this is like right above my head was just absolutely absurd oh man and now that the now
[01:43:50] the battery is sagging down a little bit's lost its it had like just enough power a minute ago now the battery is sagging it kind of doesn't oh
[01:44:07] boy see if I can match speed with this fan oh it hit me oh no oh good we're on top of the cabinet I thought we're going to fall down into the sink I think the sink has standing water in it right
[01:44:24] now oh [@$#%] the fan hit me again Fan's aggressive tonight no no falling down the stairs uhoh uhoh might have lost a prop or killed the motor let's go see Teddy what's wrong what's wrong with it
[01:44:49] is it missing a propeller buddy why don't you tell me tell me the problem Teddy I need your help oh boy it's not missing a propeller buddy get out of the way oh ah yeah the the
[01:45:13] battery lead got jammed between the propeller and the propep guard that's not good let's switch this battery out we ran this down pretty good it's sitting at 3.79 volts so that's kind of
[01:45:28] perfect okay all right one more by the way these are brand new BetaFPV lava 450mah 1S folded cell batteries and they run really good I ran one of these outside on this rig the other
[01:45:46] day and it was jamming oh speaking of speaking of this this rig here I have figured out the the a really good use for this rig the the BetaFPV canopy has a bunch of up tilt and it's
[01:46:01] not adjustable this is an outdoor like Cruise fast rig I flew one of these batter two of these batteries I think outside and I I didn't change elevation a lot I just like put the nose down and
[01:46:15] just hauled ass around the neighborhood just up and down the street in between the the bushes and [@$#%] and I had a blast so if you've got like a heavy 75 like this and these 102 Motors did
[01:46:28] really well they stayed super cool they were super predictable I I was like really pushing hard on them like 60% throttle just 70% throttle 60 just like the whole battery and I got good
[01:46:39] runtime and I had a blast just like hauling ass so that's what I think I'm going to keep this Rigg together I I thought that I was going to pull it apart and use the AI because
[01:46:53] it's a it's a BetaFPV cross AIO but I think I'm actually going to leave it together and just use it to like run long lines outside wow an angry dog he's not angry he just wants to eat
[01:47:07] the tiny whoop only when it first takes off look how German you are dog let's get that fluff blowing let's get that fluff blowing in the wind I saw teeth on that
[01:47:33] one blowing them around look at that have you ever seen a more glorious dog oh I saw teth whoa easy big fella oh cowardly ass dog he only is is he cowardly or is he just
[01:47:59] lazy oh [@$#%] oh God the the this hovers at a higher throttle than I'm used to cuz it's so heavy oh I hit the thing oh boy scary scary uhoh uhoh uhoh
[01:48:24] oh the left front motor has lost its propeller I can hear it look at this dog man what a little wanker we lost the propeller all right that's
[01:48:41] good ah there it is that was me pushing it into his face like you want it here here it is take it eat the tiny whoop you dog all right putting the propeller back on we'll fly the rest of this
[01:49:06] battery okay okay it's so funny man like it first takes off and he's so interested and then he couldn't be any less interested like a split second later it's very very
[01:49:24] confusing n uhoh oh there he is oh there he was I see you Ted Teddy back off Teddy back off back off I feel cornered he's got me cornered Teddy
[01:49:57] [Laughter] t stop ah you got Drool on the lens daddy look at the drool all over the lens [Laughter] God stop dude he's like getting more he's getting more and more
[01:50:48] aggressive but he's still such a he's just like he's still so afraid of it and I don't know it's super weird oh [@$#%] for [@$#%] sake oh boy hold on let me that's a
[01:51:09] stomach ache now oh whoa that prop watch big part of that propep wash is the weight this thing is it is a chunky chunky fat nugget but let's see if we can get a little
[01:51:26] bit more oh man I got the tune pushed to the max Jesus it do I don't think that wow I got the tune pushed really far I don't think it's going to put up with the tune
[01:51:39] this nope nope the tune was already at the absolute limit so I need to back that down I'm actually gonna back it off a little bit extra because I I did notice that the
[01:51:51] tune was like dangerously close to the Limit that's going to be a little bit better but that's actually going to handle prop life worse this is a situ this is
[01:52:04] th this is a situation where you've got a rig that is a little bit too heavy for the amount of for the amount of weight I'm sorry it's a little too heavy for the amount of power
[01:52:18] that it produces and when that happens you got to run the pids really high like this oh God that was just the worst ah I was trying to make a correction because I was not lined up
[01:52:37] properly come on Mega Power Loop man this thing is fat he a we will get it where's the OSD there it is ah durability testing has begun man try one more time I
[01:53:20] think man I like I hammering the throttle as early as I can and it's not keeping itself off the ground that's tough it is tough to do the ultimate Mega gigundo Power loop
[01:53:35] with an underpowered rig ah last time my ass he little bit ugly getting out of it but I'll take it boy look at that prop wash I mean sometimes even with all the pids in the
[01:54:03] world oh that was a dumb place to land there are screws everywhere and I don't know what they're for there is a point where all the pit gain in the world can't make up
[01:54:21] for a rig that's too heavy Andor doesn't have enough power and that's kind of what you're getting to see with this like there there is no real way like the the pids are already absolutely Skyhigh
[01:54:35] the the way forward with this rig is to put Motors on it that are a higher KV or lighter Motors or a lighter canopy camera VTX kind of setup but I mean not bad it's
[01:54:50] it's got enough for me to do all kinds of fun stuff the run time is pretty good but I'm telling you man this setup outside just jamming around is really really fun you don't you don't
[01:55:04] notice the the power to weight ratio being kind of [@$#%] because you're not trying to throw it up over stuff right you're just cruising it like forward backward left and right and then I
[01:55:15] think why it works so well is that you have shitloads of throttle resolution because it doesn't have enough power right so it's like we're kind of choosing the the flight style based
[01:55:26] around what the rig is is kind of willing to do what the rig does well I guess so there's the there's my recommended use for a meteor 75 Fly Fast
[01:55:44] outside we got a little bit of flying in I didn't lie in the in the description of this video I'm sure that you wanted to see me do more on the build but man it is hard to build while
[01:55:55] I'm live streaming like there's good questions coming in it's hard to like talk through a good question while I'm building so I'll do some building over the weekend and then
[01:56:06] you'll see some stuff on Sunday chronic nugget says I currently have a secondhand T300 RS and I really think and I really think saving money for a little for a little longer and
[01:56:23] spending the extra hundred or two for a direct drive setup is worth it fenite kit is only 400 really Jesus that's really cheap back when I was buying stuff the cheapest direct drive setup
[01:56:36] was 600 which was double might have been 500 but it was like damn near double what the the T300 was direct drive setup for 400 bucks is really good the the only the only worry about about a
[01:56:52] direct drive setup is that it's going to be too much for the play seat challenge but you can always just turn the force feedback down so Walter says who put it there it should be more
[01:57:02] empty chronic nugget says T300 pedals also suck ass I'm actually okay with them I had to do the rubber rubber ball mod to even use them I've I've been pretty okay with them Walter
[01:57:16] says I was thinking the same how German can dog how German can a dog be strer says realistically I keep doing what I'm doing with rental carding get my own suum then hopefully good
[01:57:28] enough someone or several people will be willing to help me out with the cost it's one of the one of the only ways to get into proper Motorsport is to get sponsors Co power says
[01:57:40] Teddy how will you grow up to be big and strong if you don't eat your tiny WS dve s says it's over 25 gram I'm assuming that you're talking about what I was just flying I actually don't
[01:57:51] remember what it weighs I can almost guarantee you that it's over 25 gr though it's probably closer to closer to 30 to be honest it is 27 and A2 right in the middle 272
[01:58:05] grams dry is what we were just flying on 1102 they say they're 23,500 but they only make the power of 102 22,000 so that's basically what it is strer says funny enough I was
[01:58:21] conce ceed during the F1 Malaysian GP 2008 I I mean do you honestly know when you were conceived or do you mean that you were born if your parents told you when you were
[01:58:39] conceived I know my parents wouldn't wouldn't tell me that I don't think that's I would think isn't that's kind of a weird thing to tell your kid isn't it maybe not I don't know what do I know
[01:58:50] go get you some super Lux friends it's 9:01 I was going to stop streaming at 900 because I thought I was going to have to take a zelot or sleepover but apparently now I don't
[01:59:04] have to do that so we can stream a little bit longer go get you some go get you some some Super Deluxe though my friends I'm going to do a little bit of quala stuff right now I'm going to weigh
[01:59:16] this little battery pad to make sure it's not too heavy 1.32 gram that's light enough AAG grip is pretty light stuff this is like a more rubbery stuff with the rubbery battery pads I I
[01:59:29] I I get a little bit worried that they're going to be too heavy what's the top and what's the bottom this is obviously the top because it's got the the conle holes the
[01:59:42] conical I don't know it's set up for conle screws there you go so let's stick this guy on here and oops hold on I'm assuming that I can put it on the front here you can kind of slide this back a
[02:00:08] little bit but I don't want to do that I want the battery in the middle there's going to be a bunch of weight in the ass of this thing with the WalkSnail VTX so I put the rubber battery
[02:00:19] pad here you could you could also put it one back but I don't want the battery back that far I want the battery towards the middle I actually want the battery a little bit
[02:00:31] towards the front because the ass end of this thing back here so this is the the middle let's take a look on here so this is going to sit towards the back so the 20x 20 holes so in between these
[02:00:52] got in between so dead center right here this is the dead center of the Quad right camera is going to be up here so the camera does weigh a little bit but and so the camera is offset to the
[02:01:04] front but then you've got the WalkSnail VTX and your receiver and a bunch of carbon back here so this thing is going to be ass heavy without the battery and when a rig is ass heavy
[02:01:16] without the battery you want to shift the battery forward as much as possible to try to shift the seat CG back forward you want your CG to be balanced front to rear and so for this battery pad I'm
[02:01:28] going to put it in in the middle location here I'm not going to put it all the way forward because I got that little GoPro Mount thing but I would not want to put this
[02:01:38] battery pad in the back because that would that would make the situation worse right can you guys stand it can you stand the the squeaky toy if not it's okay if you can't stand it
[02:01:55] please type it in the chat and I'll and I'll kick him out of here it's totally fine don't feel bad he calmed down he knew I was talking to him he looked up at me
[02:02:08] like no I don't want to throw it look at this dog's face hold on this dog's [@$#%] face Teddy [Laughter] look at him look at this small animal look at this little Gremlin [@$#%]
[02:02:34] just getting it in on these toys Teddy he's looking right at you ah you're a good boy buddy you're a bad boy but you're a good boy Co power says after a while you don't even hear
[02:02:53] the squeaking anymore I know for me yes I know but if if it's going to drive you guys insane please let me know if you're listening to this after the fact as like a podcast please leave a
[02:03:06] comment if if the squeaking drives you completely insane do not feel bad buddy I cannot play with you right now I'm so sorry go away okay we don't need this what we need
[02:03:26] is this and that we don't need the arms we don't need the motor mount screw pack bottom plate screw pack we do need this these came with the WalkSnail thing so I don't think we'll necessarily
[02:03:48] need these right now backup screw pack definitely don't need those I can actually put those in the in the tube very cool that they give you a specific backup screws
[02:04:05] pack not everybody does that these screws came with the WalkSnail setup so I'm actually going to leave them sort of together will this fit in there look at that
[02:04:23] I'm going to end up using this double antenna WalkSnail thing because double antennas and then when I landed I smashed these screws around and I I
[02:04:35] don't I have these four screws that I don't necessarily know what they're for yes I do they're for the motor things yeah there we go yeah
[02:04:53] what is with that [@$#%] commercial with those two impossibly handsome guys in a [@$#%] in a garage going what what what what the [@$#%] are they on what drugs do you have to do to
[02:05:09] act in a commercial all of them all right it's all of them isn't it this little thing goes on the little Jib Jab let's just get that in the right spot there all right we is organized stack
[02:05:32] screw pack there we go I don't actually need the bottom plate screw pack cuz we're not putting the bottom plate together yet and then the top plate screw pack we also don't need that so
[02:05:42] this is what we need let's let's get the stack kind of figured out here and see what well first and foremost actually let's make sure that the WalkSnail VTX is going to fit
[02:05:57] and it'll easily fit I can just see so this is where the standoffs go here plenty of room and then there's another set of standoffs all the way up here so this is completely fine
[02:06:11] this will fit in here easily I think what I'm going to do is Mount this to the bottom plate and then just double-sided tape the the receiver little BetaFPV elrs
[02:06:25] receiver just double side that tape double side tape that to it I've done that before and it's worked totally fine when the WalkSnail gets hot the VHB tape like really seeps in it's really
[02:06:35] nice this camera is not facing correct there we go oh man there we go oh wait no hold on let's put it and then I'll just move this there we go there we
[02:07:02] go this camera is sideways though fart what is happening here why is this so off oh boy there it is there it is what's up Walter you just tagged me you didn't say
[02:07:27] anything you just tagged me last time I heard W in the garage oh God Walter says for you I hope H not farts Co Powers we got that all right cool so this is a speedix
[02:07:45] is30 I believe ESC that I've had kicking around for a long long time so we're going to use it so here is our bottom rear plate and it's got a bunch of why can't I think of what these
[02:08:09] are called press nuts pre-installed in it these four press nuts here are the 20x 20s that we're going to be using for the stack and so the way that they have this set up you
[02:08:23] don't have to put a nut up above the base plate you can just send the screws right through these press nuts and the Press nuts will hold the screws to be nice and
[02:08:37] vertical oh this is cool they give you a bunch of these little things which are rubber spacers you just got to knock the center out look at this ready little rubber 1 mm looking spacers
[02:08:56] that's pretty slick I've not seen that before usually they give you plastic spacers which are totally fine but this is slick and they give you a bunch of them which is really nice because every stack
[02:09:09] is going to be able to is going to have different like height constraints and you're going to be able to slam the boards less or more together depending on how you build it depending
[02:09:19] on how the boards are set up so this is pretty cool and then I think I think I know why they give you this but let's talk about it more in a little bit so here's the
[02:09:31] stack screws that they give you these are M2 by I'm going to guess 20 they're either m2x 20 or they're m2x 22 and so all you do is send it up through press nut if you you don't want to do it
[02:09:54] in the other direction because then it would rip the Press nut out you want to do it in this direction so the Press nut stays in right these press nuts are not
[02:10:07] washers cool so you send it through here and then all you got to do is tighten it up into the Press nut and now you're good to go you don't have to worry about I mean you're going to going have to have a
[02:10:22] spacer on the other side here because you're not going to be able to mount the ESC directly down to the flat carbon but still you don't you don't have to worry about putting a spacer here this screw
[02:10:33] is nice and strong now because it's in that cuz it's in that threaded press nut that's really cool what is a little weird though is that they give you a conical screw I'm actually not
[02:10:47] going to use these screws this is a conical screw through this is not a conical press nut so I'm actually going to swap this well no this will be fine the conical screw is going to
[02:11:07] sit against this press nut pretty flat I'll use the included Hardware Hardware it's fine it's fine kind of drives me well I kind of want to take a drill bit and just put a little bit of a little bit
[02:11:26] of conness to the to these let me hang on give me give me one give me one second give me like 30 seconds here's here's the the tiny hawk flying with the other
[02:11:51] 550 mAh battery and I'm going to leave the the audio on all right here you go hopefully I don't say anything bad no it can't be upside down Ry bre if it were upside down you would rip the
[02:12:16] you would rip the Press nuts out these press nuts I'll show you when I get back show you when I get back Teddy God damn it be right back let's get some throttle
[02:12:49] Expo good point looks like eight for for wow look at past me not saying a goddamn thing I I I haven't totally I don't have it totally through my head that the
[02:14:55] that the goggles are recording audio also I think aelia was like in the kitchen or something so I didn't want to be an idiot so I took a 530 second drill bit and I just ever so slightly
[02:15:12] put a little tiny bit of a dish into these it doesn't do anything when I do that but it makes me feel better see that I just put a little tiny bit of a dish in there and so now the conical
[02:15:31] screw will probably sit nice and nice and flush I don't want the head of the conle screw to hit the ground and get all ground off that's one of the problems with M2 Hardware so let's see
[02:15:45] how good of a job I did I didn't do a great job but I did a little something it's better than nothing see how it's still sticking up a little bit but still it's down there a
[02:15:59] little bit more than it was before that's fine I'm going to leave it maybe when I maybe if I give it a little crank it'll sit more flush no I just didn't remove enough material so
[02:16:15] I'm going to put all four of these through here again go get some super looks friends Go Get It Go Get some Italian made man says what's TPU stand for I actually don't know
[02:16:30] thermoplastic urethane crom says very cool all right and oh [@$#%] me in the ass you guys were right this is wait no oh right I'm thinking about the the the base plate
[02:16:49] backwards good call sorry guys I was I was thinking of the split base plate the sitting the other way it's actually sits this way is
[02:17:16] there there's another this plate had oh I see what they did here I see what they did here I actually don't love this I don't love this setup unless they put holes big enough in the other
[02:17:35] piece in the other part of the base plate where is the other part of the base plate where the hell the other part of the base plate go there's the top plate here it is is ah they did they put
[02:17:53] holes that are big enough okay okay all right so here's how it actually goes apologies this piece goes here and this piece has the the the conical bits in there man I was like yo
[02:18:07] everything is so well thought out on this I'm shocked that they would that they would set it up like this sorry guys sorry guys so this piece goes and this piece has the screw holes set up
[02:18:24] as conical that's your your dead giveaway so you actually screw this piece down and then look at this I've seen this done before and then the the the next base plate it just covers this
[02:18:37] up and so you have to take the other base plate off but what they did is they made these holes just barely big enough so you can get once this thing is together this is where the camera sits
[02:18:48] you can get these screws out that is awesome way to go quad mola I I I had my brain sort of reversed my bad my bad this is a cool setup I like this a lot I've actually not seen this exact
[02:19:09] setup before I've seen very very similar but not this exact layout where this piece that lets the arms hook in is permanently in here this is a neat way to solve this
[02:19:35] problem all right Walter says somebody made a smart remark rtfm what does that mean read the F in manual all right so there we go so you you secure that guy on there with those
[02:19:51] four and then just I'm actually going to locktite these guys so let me put Loctite on the screw and then I'm just going to back it out a little bit so these press nuts are going to act as
[02:20:11] washers which is totally fine since I have them cranked down I'm just going to take the lazy way out and put a little bit of Loctite at the bottom here and then I'll back the
[02:20:31] screws out and that'll drag the Loctite in okay there we go I'm not like loading these up with locktite but putting a little bit on there this is Mercury
[02:20:51] adhesives thread Locker medium strength it comes with a little brush it's really really nice if you haven't seen Joshua bardwell's video about that stuff you should you should check it out it's
[02:21:03] pretty goddamn hysterical all right so just back them out a little bit to drag that Loctite in there and then retighten them oops right there we
[02:21:36] go rock crawler says late to the party Jeep Invasion huh that sounds fun Okay cool so these are not these are now loced a little bit not like crazy but just
[02:22:02] enough all right so just in in case you're you're totally confused this piece goes here and then the arms lock in and then the bottom split plate comes in here and sits like
[02:22:18] this and that's how the arms kind of sandwich I for whatever reason I was thinking about this thing upside down the other way which makes absolutely no sense okay stack screws are
[02:22:39] in oh actually what I did want to check just out of curiosity which LED this is important stuff which led race wires will work so if I kind of bodge an arm in here what the hell's all
[02:22:53] over my hands that's liquidy and black oh it's because it's got the it's a Loctite mixed with carbon fiber dust I think get some of that Loctite off of here all
[02:23:10] right that should be better so when the arm is in here what length arm LED can I run so these are the long arm LEDs no that ain't going to work so the closest I can make it there is
[02:23:29] like that and then the shortest I could nope nope nope nope so the 20 millim no 25 25 mm race wires will not work you're going to need 15s or 20s these are from Tiny LEDs these are their
[02:23:49] little 15 millimet 15 millimet long LED race wires these are the ones that are going to be required here so it's going to sit that's about as close as you can sit's to the base plate here
[02:24:04] because you need the the room for the wires to jump up and over a [@$#%] so that's about as close as you can sit's and then the easy way to spec out the the motor length is to put
[02:24:16] the motor length into the hole and then just look at like the amount of extra wire here see this is perfect this has got just a little bit of wire you're clearing the the shrink wrap that's
[02:24:25] on the end of the motor and that'll be good to go so huzzah that is going to be totally fine so I'm going to use these guys all right and so is 25 or is35 by speedix as you can
[02:24:48] see it's a little bit loose this is set up for M3 screws so I need an adapter the most readily available adapter is the the brass collar fittings for threaded
[02:25:09] inserts the M2 threaded inserts here work perfect as M2 to M3 spacers these little bastards that you probably have some in your toolbox already this is so nice to adapt M2 to
[02:25:32] M3 okay and to hold your extra sharp tweezer closed apparently right so we just throw these on down there I'm going to make a quick assumption that the
[02:25:46] that the press nuts on the bottom there are tall enough to keep this ESC off the Bas plate but I am going to check that in a second let me just get a couple more of these little threaded inserts
[02:26:12] here and there we go all right so these threaded inserts I'm not going to use as spacers right now these are just for converting M2 to M3 these are going to disappear inside of the blue rubber
[02:26:26] grommets the only way that I remember that this is a speedix is is the the blue rubber grommets so here's how you check clearance you put these bastards all the way down I could have
[02:26:37] technically done it without these but I mean I need them anyway so you throw these on you can also just use rubber grommets that have an M2 inner diameter those do exist they're
[02:26:55] basically tiny whoop grommets sometimes though the esc's have M4 holes in them and that would be too big all right so this this guy is stripped because it keeps cross
[02:27:15] threading that was weird nope no it's like internally stripped oh no it's got it's got Loctite in it that's what it is on really tight builds sometimes I'll use these little collars as nuts up
[02:27:35] on top and then they get all clogged up with Loctite I'm actually going to throw that one away man this one looks like it has Loctite in it too [@$#%] it does threw him away too is this guy okay
[02:27:51] nope Jesus they all have locktite in them is that am I what am I doing here have to go back to the goddamn well where are the there's one the ones that are clean are bright
[02:28:13] and shiny there's another one come on one more baby there it is they were all at the bottom that's what was going going on okay here's how you here's how you check ESC
[02:28:28] clearance get your stack screws in drop the ESC down and look at it that's it that's how you do it being mindful of where the USB is going to come out because I need it to get up
[02:28:42] to the top plate and plug into the battery right also kind of thinking about where the battery is going to sit This Is Not Great this lead this lead has this
[02:29:00] stupid capacitor in it and that kind of keeps it from getting to where I want it to be that might be okay though if I look at like where the top Plate's going to sit's going to be here and then so
[02:29:19] this can come out and sit up that might actually be all right nope it's not going to be I need to get the capacitor off of here I'm just GNA do that like I'm going
[02:29:34] to not switch the entire thing and I'm just going to get this cut this capacitor off of here and replace this replace this piece of shrink wrap because I think this wire is the
[02:29:50] perfect length once the once the capacitor is out of there so let's do that real quick sorry I keep forgetting to when I work on stuff alone I work on stuff completely different than when
[02:30:05] I'm on the stream I I do a lot of the work like like in here with with my arms like into my my elbows in my chest on the stream I have to push everything forward and hold everything really far
[02:30:16] forward all right so I am going to I'll use the soldering I was thinking about just clipping the leads and throwing this guy away but nah we'll I'll remove him and maybe use him in
[02:30:35] the future this is a 25v 220 micro farad capacitor all right so let me just put a little touch of flux on here I'm going to try to get these both at
[02:31:02] once and this flux syringe is getting clogged again had this problem a while ago and it was fine for a while but now it's a pain in the end this again all right soldering iron has come
[02:31:23] up to 710 de let's take this capacitor off and I'm just going to try to like kind of jankle yankle it off so let's see let's see if I can totally Jank this [@$#%] up
[02:31:51] without melting the XT30 come on come off come over there balls the ground wire came off well I'll say this they they did this right they got the legs woo into the little cups of the
[02:32:27] of the XT30 oh balls that's that is exactly what I didn't want to happen all right I got to do it right now thought I was saving time but instead I
[02:32:50] made this harder for myself welcome to FPV there we go there's one there's the other that so hard all right so now I have to re solder this
[02:33:09] guy and [@$#%] man I should just left it and desoldered the the thing from the thing and then used a different thing what I mean what's up you Jalen I haven't seen you in a
[02:33:26] while so when you're doing work on XT30 is they love to melt so take the other side and plug that in and that oh boy they already did melt didn't they they already did melt a little bit
[02:33:42] because this doesn't want to plug in but if I can get this plugged in and then when I heat them there it goes all right so we got this plugged in so this will now hold those those pins straight so
[02:33:51] now we can reattach this here try to use this guy again double it up to get a little more grip on it all right so round on XT30 is is not ground the flat side is
[02:34:20] positive no okay the round is Ground Round is ground good I was going to say I didn't know that and that's super annoying but no do the short wire first which is the
[02:34:34] red in this case and with these XT30 is man use flux because you want to get in and out the more time you get this thing hot the better chance you're going to start
[02:34:50] melting the plastic and that is a bad day when that happens so here we go get the XT30 hot and then just slide the wire on in try to get the silicone buted right up against
[02:35:07] there and you're good and I forgot to put an individual piece of shrink wrap on here which is kind of annoying but not the end of the world cuz I'm going to run one big piece of shrink wrap
[02:35:17] around the whole thing so we'll do the ground and in this scenario the ground does not take any extra time or effort because it's not hooked up to an ESC with a ground plane
[02:35:36] on it there's no difference between the positive and negative here and then just check that they're going straight in through here and you're good to go and so now we're going to put
[02:35:48] another piece of shrink wrap on here to keep this all nice and protected that long enough that's not quite long enough all right eug jellen says would 15045 3950 on 4S be enough for an
[02:36:09] analog build on that frame they would be kind of perfect I'm running 1505 but they're only 3,800 KV so I got a little bit more motor but a little bit less KV you're going
[02:36:24] to want a pitchy propeller but it'll absolutely work and it should be pretty good actually you'll get to see it here all right this is the perfect piece right just long enough good
[02:36:38] deal is it big enough nope it is not all right so we're going to stretch this shrimp wrap if you get if you get a good brand of shrimp good like Alaskan shrimp wrap you
[02:36:52] can actually stretch it most shrink wrap is a two to one shrink ratio you can stretch these to be like 3:1 sometimes it feels like even like 4: one just be careful when
[02:37:05] you're stretching it if you stretch it too much it rips and you got to start all over again so just stretch it very gently make sure that you rotate it to stretch it evenly and
[02:37:16] then what's cool is it'll shrink up more what I'm saying like this will shrink all the way down onto the wires more than if I was to use a piece of bigger shrink wrap that would actually
[02:37:30] fit over the XT30 top tip for you and then the other top shrink wrap tip is if you're using clear shrink wrap hold the flame really close the the blue part of the flame has less car and it
[02:37:49] will turn the clear shrink wrap less black so whenever I do this I hold the lighter right up to the right up to the shrink wrap even if I'm not using the clear stuff I just do it out of
[02:38:01] habit and there we go so now when the top plate is on no it's on here like this I've got a little bit of extra room in these wires because they're not going to Kink from the from the capacitor
[02:38:21] and these wires will sit exactly where I want them to right next to the battery in theory we'll see once it's fully together but that's looking a lot better now cool and now I can pull this other
[02:38:35] part of the XT30 off because I'm not worried about the plastic melting anymore so there we go that's on there which is nice I can put this back so we're going to go capacitor L on this
[02:38:50] build and we'll see we'll see how it does because I don't necessarily think I have enough extra room although I might just be able to drop this capacitor right down on
[02:39:04] there maybe I'll reuse this capacitor but just on the battery leads no that's going to be too close the no see the WalkSnail is going to be on there I can I can probably bend it upwards
[02:39:16] though let's let's tack it on and then if if I have to remove it I can but I love the idea of having at least a little bit of a capacitor in case there's
[02:39:32] extra video noise and so this is going to be a little bit harder because both of these leads are on here I would really prefer to do this before the battery lead has been
[02:39:46] soldered down but let me just see let maybe I can sneaking on in there I need to put a little angle in The Wire here okay same thing on this one these little legs on the capacitors man be super
[02:40:08] gentle with them they are so fragile all right yep that's what I wanted all right so in theory I can drop this guy right on in there and then bend it kind of upwards I am going to remove the ground lead
[02:40:32] just because I don't think I'm going to be able to get this the tip of the soldering iron in here and I really don't want to have to do that though hold on let me
[02:40:47] see ah there we go there we go there we go the question becomes can I get the tip of the soldering iron in there yeah I'll be able to get it okay cool
[02:40:59] so let's do this get a little bit of flux on there all right this is going to be a little bit tight but we'll be all right I don't know if you guys are going to be able to see Jack [@$#%] but give it a try
[02:41:23] that's actually not bad at all all right let's see how this goes this might be a nightmare this this might be a bad idea for the record okay I don't want to I really
[02:41:45] don't want to burn the the capacitor oh that actually looks half decent that might work try this one come on we got it I do want to get it flattened out a little bit
[02:42:23] though there yes all right so the ground is actually looking really good the positive one though is definitely not quite as good so let me try to move this ground wire
[02:42:41] out of the way a little bit and I think I can I can get at this positive one on the other side here let me just push it down a little bit push it down a little bit
[02:43:04] there and then I think I can make that work sorry this is a lot of focus guys I'm having a hard time with this too though let put this flat down on the table Walter says why was it not okay
[02:43:31] why was what not okay all right okay let me try this one more time and I'm actually going to pick up a little bit of solder this time on the tip of the
[02:43:53] iron all right this is going to be tough but let's see see if I can get this come on man I want the joint to liquefy a little bit but not like all the way
[02:44:22] there we go all right so the joint is liquid and the capacitor is on all right that actually turned out better than I thought and so now all right so here's here's the problem that
[02:44:38] I was talking about and now let's see if we can get around it right so this is this is on here and then the WalkSnail btx is going to be all the way up here right so it's so they're
[02:44:55] hitting each other but watch you can do is point this upwards I've done this a couple times and it works shockingly well so just get it side down and then point it up upwards and just
[02:45:07] make sure you're not adding a lot of angle like you wouldn't want to bend it like 90° but kind of works and then the WalkSnail will sneak right under there and we've got
[02:45:18] enough room cool might not work it might get in the way of something else all right so I should have checked the clearance so we've got the flight controller plug down on
[02:45:37] the bottom there and it's hitting the bottom plate so and then if you look here there's a gap between that press nut so we need to get a little spacer going in here the back is fine but that doesn't
[02:45:51] matter we need to clear the front the other option would be to mount this thing the other way but if you see this ESC does not have motor plugs on this side so mounting this ESC with this side
[02:46:06] up you've got your motor plugs facing down against the carbon and then you've even got these two screw these two press nuts here and so that those battery pads are going to be really
[02:46:18] close to these that's no good carbon fiber is conductive so I will put the the battery leads up I I really hate having those battery leads facing down plus then if you ever need
[02:46:31] to do something with those battery leads you have to take the ESC off which is a nightmare so always always always have your battery pads facing upwards I really like when esc's have battery pads
[02:46:41] on the top and the bottom that that really helps for being able to set the stack up let's use these cool little rubber bastards that they give so see now I'm going to have to pull these
[02:46:56] guys somewhat up and off to get these little spacers on these might be just enough oh I can push them right over those that's kind of cool all
[02:47:09] right so we've got four little rubber spacers let's tighten these guys down a little bit again these don't need to be tight because they sit inside of the they sit inside of the rubber
[02:47:23] grommets so this is fine get them and now drop this down and let's see how that's doing so you've got that jst plug there and you do have a little bit of a gap
[02:47:39] but here's the thing if I push down on this ESC I can eat that Gap up so that's a little bit sketchy because like in a crash that could smack that jst up against the board but I'm having to push
[02:48:03] down on that pretty hard to do that the other option would be to just not use a rubber spacer use like a plastic or a metal spacer which is actually what I think I
[02:48:16] might do I really like these little rubber things as spacers so I'm going to hang on to them but I think I'm going to use a plastic spacer and that'll it's still going to have
[02:48:31] a little bit of give because of the rubber grommet but it's going to have a lot less give and so I'm just going to raid the parts bin here and I've
[02:48:47] got four little plastic spacers well no wait I got a whole bunch of black plastic ones man these are old school these spacers here had these guys forever 1 mm plastic spacers
[02:49:12] man figure out who sells them and get yourself some you're going to need them there we go cool so let's use these instead and so now I'll show you the difference I know this stuff is not
[02:49:32] super interesting but this is super important [@$#%] this is what makes this is what turns like a pain in the ass build that you end up hating this is what prevents pain in the ass builds
[02:49:46] that you end up hating basically is what's happening here this is how you do a build so that it's dialed in it's easy to work on you don't have to tear it apart three times because you didn't
[02:49:59] get [@$#%] spaced out right it makes so much more sense to do it right the first time in my opinion so plastic spacers will not fit over the the little brass in threaded inserts and so
[02:50:17] there's the four washers and then we got to put these inserts back on for it to sit properly I'm just putting two of the inserts on just because we're testing but I mean at
[02:50:28] this point I know this is going to work so I might as well put all four on all right two three and then for eug jellen says doesn't that frame come with a Nifty print to hold the capacitor between the
[02:50:51] standoffs oh that's what that is ah oh well I thought that was for a an XT30 but that makes absolutely no sense this is way lighter maybe I'll use this in the future damn it I
[02:51:10] didn't even realize that I didn't look at it very hard that is a that is a cool little thing but we'll save a little bit of weight this would sit right in between these standoffs and then the the
[02:51:22] capacitor would sit sideways there if I do another one of these builds maybe I'll use this guy but for right now I'm just going to put it in with the spare parts oh
[02:51:37] well sometimes it's really hard on these micro builds to find a spot for the capacitor too that's really cool that they that they include something to help you out with
[02:51:47] that I'm super impressed by quad Mulla man they're they're like label in the bags even just like the small stuff it really does make a difference there we go and so now I
[02:52:01] don't know why I did that I need this camera back immediately so now same 1 mm spacers but now they're plastic and so at this point we've got that same Gap come on you [@$#%] there's no contrast
[02:52:23] in the background for there we go so now we've still got that same Gap but when I push down on when I push down it doesn't bottom out and it doesn't smack against the base plate and that's what we want
[02:52:38] so this is now perfectly spaced out we've got a nice amount of space in the side front we can pass cables through left and right if we want to do that and the
[02:52:50] rear whoa those capacitors are awful close those capacitors are close oh my God hold on there you go those capacitors are close but that's fine there there's nothing that will get them to hit
[02:53:13] right because they clear it front to rear it's a little scary but there's just enough room that should be fine let me take a look with the 5x Loop though just to be absolutely
[02:53:30] sure oh they're good they're offset just enough man that's close man it has like exactly one millimeter of clearance that's hysterical I'll be
[02:53:57] damned cool all right so that's good next up is going to obviously be the flight controller getting that spaced out to stack on top there let's see got to also think about like what
[02:54:16] orientation you're going to put it in so the the plug header is on this side here so what if I do it oh my God that's good so I'm just basically looking in
[02:54:30] between each stack to see what's going to hit and nothing's going to hit so I just need to space it up a little bit and then the flight controller will be totally fine and then the wires would
[02:54:42] just come out here and loop if you're going to put the flight controller like this you need to be able to have enough space to run the the run the plug header in between
[02:54:51] each one a lot of times it's easier just to run it like this and now these These gromets are M3 on the inside too so I'm going to need another set of those adapters but that's okay at this
[02:55:03] point you have a choice to make what I like to do is use screws sorry not screws nuts so that the ESC is held down by itself I don't usually like it to be all nonthreaded spacers in between the ESC and the
[02:55:28] flight controller because then the whole stack can kind of move up a little bit I like to hold the ESC down by itself and in the kit quad mola gives you a couple of these little nuts which are
[02:55:40] absolutely perfect for that these little black M2 1 mm thick nuts are awesome so these are going to act like spacers as well as holding the ESC down don't crank these tight just use
[02:55:59] your finger on the side of them to tighten them up you don't want to compress these these rubber grommets in the ESC all right there we go and last
[02:56:25] one all right cool so again just use my finger on the side to tighten these up you'll never overtighten them by doing this because you're getting like very little grip on them if I was
[02:56:38] pinching them I could get a bunch of grip on them and overtighten them but if you just use your finger on the outside like this you'll get just a little bit of tightness and then to check that just
[02:56:48] make sure the ESC can move up and down a little bit you just again you don't want you also don't want these nuts to get too close to the components so now we're going to recheck with the ESC that might
[02:56:57] be enough I mean that is enough but like look at all this extra thread that we've got at this point we could go to a shorter screw shorter stack screw but instead what I'm going to do is just add
[02:57:12] a little bit more spacing what's up baby how are you honey did you have fun I guess so what nothing so put these guys on here what I'm actually going to use I'm thinking about
[02:57:37] using plastic spacers again also what's clicking when I push down on this something's clicking these these rubber guys on top of these really small plastic nuts they're they're just
[02:57:56] not they're not great so I'm going to go back and use some more plastic one mil spacers just cuz they're going to sit on top of these little nuts a little bit
[02:58:11] better and so there we go I have lots of these little plastic spacers but man I have chewed through them I used to have a lot more than this oh my God I don't have many left get the
[02:58:30] hell out of here I mean they're all tied up in build so when I they're still in the building but okay hold on I'm trying to find a matched set I'm always worried that
[02:58:45] there's like two different kinds in here and I'm always worried they're are going to be subtly different in thickness one two three I have these ones that are kind of gray there we go there's all the
[02:58:56] gray ones all right so oh no no no no no no no I got it I know what I'm gonna I've got these fancy little 2mm spacers that are she got a ride Maggie yep this might be a green build should I
[02:59:37] do a green build here crom says you have a 3D printer you can make all the washers and spacers you want whenever that's true that is true the TPU is all green so then of
[02:59:57] course the LEDs need to be purple or green let's go purple if I use these guys those will be fine but they they will not like these so I am actually going to use these
[03:00:18] spacers it's fine this not all builds have to have fancy anodized jib Jabs this will be a no [@$#%] build all right there we go so now that guy sits and
[03:00:37] now it's closer to the middle of the the extra amount of material on here so great that's how that's going to space out now we can start with the VTX and the
[03:00:53] receiver but it is now 10:00 and so I'm actually going to call it and go hang out with my favorite person I hope you guys learned something if you didn't maybe next time
[03:01:07] oh this this stuff this is what they gave I completely forgot about this this is what they gave so that you don't have to use the the because they don't give you those little spacers you
[03:01:21] slide this over the the screw and it adapts to you don't slide at all but I just haven't cut it yet it adapts here I'll use it I'll use it I totally forgot about
[03:01:35] this oh boy oh [@$#%] I can't get it off uhoh oh I put too much of it on there and now it doesn't want to come off whoops should be okay hold on I just got to get a grip on
[03:02:01] it there we go so you take this and you just cut little bits of it the end of it has been cut horribly so I'm going to fix that and then so you just cut like you want to cut the same thickness as
[03:02:17] the the rubber grommet basically so much and then since this grommet is set up for M3 this little fella is going to adapt this M2 screw oh man this stuff is kind of tight
[03:02:37] to M3 and what I'm curious about is is it big enough I mean it's just barely big enough but it's not there's still a little bit of Wiggle here I don't like it I'm going to use
[03:02:53] the I'm going to show you guys I'm going to show you guys why I'm not going to use it let's come back in here and grab another couple of these adapters
[03:03:13] slash threaded inserts right so what do I need four of these again right looking for ones that don't have Loctite all gummed up inside of them a lot of these have Loctite in them
[03:03:37] [@$#%] that one's clean come on baby one more one more with no Loctite no that one's got all kinds of Loctite come on there it is I can tell yep here's why I'm going to use
[03:03:55] these little adapters instead look at the difference in thickness see how much thicker that brass bastard is that thickness is perfect for the the M3 thickness here
[03:04:20] with the this would probably work completely fine the little silicone tubing but I'm not going to take that chance look once you put the nuts on here it's going to squish stuff down too
[03:04:32] so it's it'll it'll push in there like I said I'm sure this would work totally fine the other thing I don't like about this is It's hard to get it off of these of these screws and that's just
[03:04:41] annoying whereas these things are threaded and they're just super simple so I'm going to foro the admittedly really smart setup of this plastic tubing and I'm going to use my preferred method of
[03:05:00] these little threaded insert guys these threaded inserts also hold the the washers down so you don't lose your washers which is nice so battery lead is done ESC is
[03:05:21] mounted that's good to go we figured out the orientation this is going to go here USB out the side great little Loop here for the behind the camera for the ESC to flight controller cable that's
[03:05:36] a half decent little start isn't it like I said next up is going to be the receiver and the WalkSnail setup we'll get that all mounted up WalkSnail first cuz it's
[03:05:51] going to go on the bottom figure out some mounting screws for it receiver and then we'll take the the we'll take the WalkSnail the receiver and the flight controller out of here and then
[03:06:03] we'll put the arms on Motors solder those down and then smack it all together and we'll be good to go so I'm going to do a little bit of this tomorrow and or tonight and then
[03:06:18] maybe we'll finish it up on Sunday sound good friends anybody learn anything nobody nothing parkour guy says can radio modules just kind of die without seeing any physical damage for sure
[03:06:32] multiple rigs with 150 HZ set and max elrs power is showing 65 plus RSSI from feet away and I haven't changed settings that sucks I will say this though fly it and push the range really far in a
[03:06:56] safe place and see when it actually fail safes the RSSI and the link quality numbers sometimes they can be really deceiving and sometimes like I've had situations where like all of a sudden my
[03:07:10] RSSI Endor link quality really suck in the same spot that I've flown before but then when I fly the rig the numbers don't even really drop and it like never fails safe so fly the rig and just
[03:07:23] keep it low to the ground and keep it like somewhere that if it falls out of the air and fail safes you can just go get it easily it might be totally fine all right friends thanks for
[03:07:36] hanging I love you bye last little oh so I showed you a bunch of flying with the tiny with all the improvements here it is before the improvements stock get a load of how bad this is oh
[03:07:57] God why get a load of this I'll see you guys Sunday at 3:00 love you bye a
