[00:02:23] hey friends I'm Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti welcome to the show whoop Wednesday castle crash recap apologies for sort of low energy stream tonight it might be a little bit of a shorter
[00:02:38] stream just just stuff it's all good it's fine my particular flavor of mental illness mirrors manic depression in that it comes in waves and after a wave of mania or being manic
[00:03:00] where everything is great and I'm happy there tends to be a bit of a crash and that's life but it's going to be all right tomorrow's a new day that was some flight footage from the
[00:03:19] grind arino that is me struggling to get used to 30° of uptilt although now that I look at it that might be 35 or 40 that's a bunch of uptilt the tiny whoops I fly all at a very low up
[00:03:34] tilt 10° 15° and most of what I fly over the last like year is Tiny whoop and so flying anything other than that with more up tilt is always a bit of a challenge there's always a heck of a
[00:03:53] adjustment period And so I I I was actually I remember getting a little bit frustrated because uptilt has a lot to do with up tilt can kind of make her break your comfort level and
[00:04:09] your ability to like hit stuff it's really it affects everything it even affects the way that you mix yaw and roll so if you're trying to get good make sure your up tilt is as
[00:04:26] close as is as dialed in as possible on as many of your different rigs as possible Right like try to find a happy medium right like if you can run 20 Dees on everything that's great if you've
[00:04:43] got a bunch of rigs that are 30 and then a bunch that are 20 and a bunch that are 10 there's going to be a big adjustment period every single time you switch back and forth between one the other the
[00:04:52] other the other and so try not to do that it can be a little bit tough like tiny whoops in a small room like where I'm at here you just can't run 30° of uptilt it just doesn't make any sense
[00:05:09] and so for my situation it's all of the rigs that I fly outside are set up at around 30° and that's the best that I can sort of personally do because to fly a tiny [@$#%]
[00:05:25] at 30° in a small room is unless you're racing it's not going to make much sense the grind arino is on xnova 1804 3500s 4S 850mah battery long since discontinued unfortunately these
[00:05:45] are arguably the best 3-in props ever made these are t-motor 314s and then it's on the old school WalkSnail VTX with the Dual antennas and that old school camera
[00:06:00] which looks really good stack is just random flight controller and ESC I can't even tell which ones they are but if your flight controller and your ESC are not on fire they're fine and
[00:06:13] then this guy is set up on elrs so that's the that's what you were just watching this thing is 280 all up I want to say 280 gram I think these motors do a really good job
[00:06:30] moving these motors and props do a great job moving this thing around even at that weight which is kind of wild because 3500 KV is a little bit low for 4S but these propellers are very pitchy
[00:06:43] 3140 and these these blades are big thick bastards so these props really help this thing make some good power speaking of this one prop is all kinds of bent out of shape now it's a little
[00:06:56] bit better so that's what you're watching there at some point well the the next so at some point here I'm just going to put flight footage on and just let it go and and
[00:07:09] just let it let the files go one after the next after the next and I'm going to try to as often as I can like take a look at which and try to remember which rig I was flying at the time and
[00:07:23] then I'll show that to you so you have an idea of kind of what's going on the next flight footage you'll see outside is probably going to be the quad mola siren we'll talk about that when
[00:07:34] that pops up but the the very next file that you started to see there was actually the 2S WalkSnail builds which we can talk about just just for a second well actually let me pull it up and
[00:07:56] and let it go while we're kind of talking about it so this is the WalkSnail 2S build that we've been working on for a while it is that BetaFPV 2S compatible flight
[00:08:12] controller that has the that doesn't have a USB port on it that allows me to run the the the frames with that pull the batteries up really high into a space where the the USB
[00:08:26] port would normally be this was the first time that I was this was only like the third battery ever maybe the fourth battery ever with this rig it was the first battery ever with these sub
[00:08:39] 250 the company 0803 19,000 KV Motors GemFan 1610 propellers Mobula 6 canopy WalkSnail light setup and mobul 7 V3 frame and it flew okay I haven't really tested it enough
[00:09:00] to come to any conclusions but I think that these motor I don't think these motors feel as good as the t-motor 1021 19000s I'll know more once I kind of backto back them but from what I
[00:09:16] remember the the 102s were really really really dialed and these 803s were just they they they just I don't know I don't know if they were getting too hot that could EXP explain it an 803
[00:09:30] motor is definitely not going to shed as much heat as a 102 but they didn't feel like they made the same amount of power I have a motor limited down the same amount which is
[00:09:43] 80% I could just raise the motor limit on these and maybe I will but I got to do a little bit more testing but so far I don't know I I was super excited about these motors and then once
[00:09:55] I flew them I was not totally Blown Away but that's me being pretty picky if I'm completely honest most people would probably fly this rig and be like wow it's that's awesome I'm just
[00:10:08] looking for the absolute best that I can get as always obsessed with testing but that's how we figure out the good stuff and then make it even better so that's what
[00:10:23] you're watching here lots and lots and lots of like proper super lightweight 65 MIM tiny whoop footage from in here also something kind of interesting this room is extremely
[00:10:37] purple I don't know if you might have seen pictures or not the the WalkSnail VTX must have had Auto white balance turned on because it turned the room from purple into like like regular
[00:10:51] and so you'll see in the analog footage that room looks much cooler this is now the quad Mulla F3 split siren build which is on again discontinued Mamba TOA 155 3800 KV
[00:11:09] Motors with GemFan 3052 propellers the even though the name says 3052 they're not actually 52 pitch props they're closer to like 40 pitch so these propellers perform really similar to the
[00:11:26] t-motor 314s they're just not as durable the best thing about the t- motor props is they're just hysterically durable the geman 352s are pretty durable they're pretty good but I like those
[00:11:38] t-motor props a little bit better again old school WalkSnail dual antenna VTX this is the newer camera this is the 19 x19 camera but it's the black one not the silver one I don't know if
[00:11:56] there's any there it doesn't look drastically different here I I don't really know if there is anything drastically different but that's the setup here again 20 X20 flight
[00:12:08] controller and ESC whatever they don't really have much to do with anything and then Express Express lrs also on a 4S 850 this rig is significantly lighter though it's like
[00:12:24] 25 or 30 grams lighter it's much closer to 250 gram all up so little bit little bit more floaty also they higher KV Motors 3800 versus 3500 of the xn noas on the grino so a little bit lighter
[00:12:42] little bit more power for this for this little flight spot here both of these rigs were an awful lot the quad Mula was an awful awful awful lot it's felt really really really overpowered
[00:12:58] for this little flight line here and it was kind of being a little bit weird the the motors were when I got there and tried to fly it on Saturday one of the motors refused to spin up and it
[00:13:12] was just twitching and twitching and twitching and twitching no matter what I did I gave up Saturday I put it away I tried to fly it again Sunday and it was fine so FPV is very annoying
[00:13:24] but we all signed up for it I guess this is now back to the 2S rig the the 2S WalkSnail rig this was I believe a little bit before like the awards ceremony on Sunday night when everybody was kind
[00:13:42] of like around so I took this chance to try to give everybody a little bit of FaceTime with a little fly through and kind of show like the main area of castle crash there's The Vixens
[00:13:54] this is where we got some amazing food all weekend here you'll see there's a little reseller area here very cool stuff the over here on the left that's where
[00:14:10] the DJ was hanging out blasting some music and I tried to get as many people in this as as as I could just kind of without just doing orbits over and over again right trying to be a
[00:14:24] little bit more creative than just orbit orbit orbit orbit orbit orbit and this is super cool at at some point here there was a little pity that got really interested in the quad
[00:14:37] and started chasing me around and somebody somebody thankfully screamed like the dog's about to eat your quad and I I got out of there and luckily it survived so whoever
[00:14:48] whoever warned me about the dog trying to eat me thank you for that I stayed up pretty late last night doing some editing I'm pretty happy with some of this stuff so there
[00:15:02] will be some some edits coming I did like sort of a rough one of some after dark stuff that that of a bunch of us kind of screwing around already that I threw up patrons you will get
[00:15:15] a an email about it with a link to it so that you can check that out you might get a kick out of that but this is like the main area here that flight line that I was just at with
[00:15:28] the the quad Mulla and the and the grino is off to the right here right in front now now off to the left kind of like behind the the big DJ Tower area to give you a little bit of a feel for what
[00:15:42] is sort of where kind of off to the right right now is the front where the actual castle is and then around back past the off kind of like straight ahead now all the way in the
[00:15:58] back back of the woods was the the third flight line so those are the three main flight lines th this flight line here that I'm in is shared with the whoop house building there off on the
[00:16:09] right which you're going to see a lot of flying within that was where I took off from at the beginning of this battery right in here this is when it wasn't finished yet this was
[00:16:19] sad or maybe this is when it no I guess it was finished there it's just the lights weren't turned on so these two flight lines here were were kind of shared since they're so close
[00:16:29] together the event was a blast man the the organizers the volunteers everybody involved the sponsors everybody did such a great job it was really really really fun and
[00:16:42] then this is this should be the last battery that I flew I was like five minutes too slow and it just got a little bit too dark this is the grind arino and this is the WalkSnail in like
[00:16:54] full-blown Civil Twilight which is when the sun is down below The Horizon and the sky kind of turns blue we also call this blue hour golden hour is when you still do have a little bit
[00:17:06] of sun in the Horizon and everything's kind of gold and then once the sun drops all the way down you get blue hour and this is blue hour this is me asking an a lot of the of the walks
[00:17:17] snail camera kind of amazing that I was able to fly it all but when it when when the camera has to pump the iso up high enough to get some actual light here it's starts to get really noisy and
[00:17:30] that's why it kind of looks blurry but just getting it in nobody was around and I I just had a minute to go and fly so I figured I'd get it in but I missed it as you can see
[00:17:42] there's no sun at all it's fully below the Horizon so all things to consider this this is actually pretty impressive that I was able to fly here but the footage kind of looks
[00:17:52] like hell but it was fun this is that back flight line that I was telling you about this was sort of all the way in the back there right straight ahead is where you kind
[00:18:03] of stood to fly from and then there's a little spectator area there off the left and then there's this really cool hole in the gate which normally I wouldn't have been able to play over
[00:18:13] here but since everybody was in that main area and it was getting pretty dark I kind of had this area all to myself which was kind of nice I I I don't know I I I I typically
[00:18:29] fly alone and so I don't I'm not going to say that like I don't like flying with other people but I'm just way more used to flying alone and I don't know the FPV has always been a a
[00:18:41] pretty solo kind of thing for me it's sort of just me in the sky and so when when given the opportunity to fly a cool spot like alone it's not that I don't like other people it's
[00:18:56] it's just that I'm more used to FPV as and it is to some especially now right with five different video systems it is more of a solo kind of thing than it ever was which
[00:19:10] is okay although I will admit in in the whoop house where pretty much everybody was on analog there were some like really cool OG FPV kind of Vibes going on where we were all sort of watching each other we
[00:19:28] were all cheering each other on there would be like two three four Pilots up in the air at once so you could sit there and just shuttle back and forth between different pilots and it
[00:19:39] was really really cool I I have not had that experience in a while and it and it really kind of made me remember sort of the the olden days of FPV four five six years ago but you know
[00:19:57] hey just the magic of whoops yet again what is this this is now wow that's analog Jesus that's good- looking analog how does that look so good oh it's because the WalkSnail footage
[00:20:12] looked so bad because it was super low light so this is like very first analog battery I'm trying to look the the ducts in the bottom here look pretty gray and there's a bunch of there's a bunch
[00:20:31] of duct showing so I kind of feel like this might be a 75mm rig hold on oh well I have some I have the microphone maybe I say what it is hold on let's
[00:20:49] see why is the battery at 3.88 volts I'm flying like a half charged battery What's Happening Here I'm changing modules that's maybe a little clue I thought that was a
[00:21:05] tarp I don't know what rig this is it's Snappy enough that I kind of think it's no this is a 75mm rig this is a 7 my guess is going to be that this
[00:21:23] is a this is the the 82.6 27,000 KV setup no it's not it's definitely not because that has clear ducts wait no no it doesn't no I'm pretty sure that's what this is I'm
[00:21:44] pretty sure that's what this is this has gray ducts and it's the it also has the BetaFPV camera oh look at that the the active element on the the antenna has been ripped off so I I need
[00:21:58] to fix that I'm glad that I saw that okay so let me let me just pull a couple of screws out here to remind myself to get this thing fixed because it's not I mean it's pretty
[00:22:13] evident but I I could very easily it's not good for it's not good to fly without the the active element of the antenna it's not the it's not the end of the world but the antennas give some
[00:22:26] resistance if if you ever want a easy representation of this just leave the rig on for a second and touch the tip of the active element it's hot as hell and so all right I got a couple
[00:22:41] screws out here this will this will remind me of that cool I'll get that fixed up I'll th I'll probably end up just throwing another super simple little whip antenna on
[00:22:52] there but we'll see I was going to fly this tonight too that's okay little little mini frisbee golf thing works as like a little ending gate the racers crash into
[00:23:05] kind of cool stuff shout out to White Fox for doing a lot of the work to the majority of the work to get all this stuff set up very very cool of him he did a fantastic
[00:23:18] job all right so let me let some of this play here this is now now we're clear prop guards this maybe looks more like a 65 possibly I'm not sure but again this is not fully set up this
[00:23:41] is this might be Friday night actually if it's not Friday night even I he arrive I think this is Friday night I don't think this was Saturday night Saturday night was dive of death
[00:23:53] and then this was all set up we didn't start flying until super late in here but it was all purple out so this would be Friday night you're going to see the this area get much much crazier
[00:24:06] at some point in in some of this flight footage in the chat Cloud Hopper was first Curtis Hayes was next Bob Bruce FPV toast Co pow stealth fight FPV lster Douglas 6 MX pickles doubles FPV
[00:24:20] Northern Tier CA 1973 free lojo JP spin spoken dog Kujo Zoe 101 pizo 750 JP spin fre lojo off axis Scotty Scott danzil the terrible just Mo MC mucus Mars Curtis Hayes doubles again dizilla
[00:24:37] again coold Powers skull 901 dest what's up everybody thanks for coming again like I said earlier sorry I'm kind of low energy I'm just dealing with some mental health [@$#%]
[00:24:51] as I do sometimes that's just what it is to be me has nothing to do with you guys so don't don't worry about it and tomorrow's a new day it'll be okay if you want to talk directly to
[00:25:07] me in the chat all you got to do is type c FPV if you'd like to do a super chat that'll help keep the boat AF float here and but the better way to support me is to go over to se fv.com and join
[00:25:22] the patreon that's also going to give you access to some of like the the not totally polished edits that I do like the more fun edits patreon only live streams stuff there's
[00:25:34] some really cool Tech articles on the Discord Channel I'm sorry on the patreon itself rather a really cool Community you'll get full access to the Discord Channel a couple of different
[00:25:44] Facebook groups that admittedly don't get used much but they're there so patreon helps me out the most you can jump on there for as little is $3 a month that's like 10 cents a day
[00:25:55] it's the best way that you can support me if you you have a couple of extra bucks there's a $5 $10 $20 month tier that are going to enter you to win a bunch of giveaways which is pretty slick
[00:26:05] when you win one of those giveaways it's usually like between $50 and $100 worth of stuff that's going to cover a whole bunch of months of the that extra tier that you may have joined so think
[00:26:15] about it if you're on the $3 tier think about getting on some giveaways because eventually you'll win there's a whole bunch of other ways you can support me over there on the website
[00:26:25] the Etsy store has some really fun stuff on it a bun of new stuff and there's going to be more stuff being added over the next week or two once as soon as I can get my head straight so
[00:26:38] Etsy storees got some fun stuff that you might dig I added a whole bunch of stuff last week a whole bunch of new stuff last week so if you haven't checked it out in the last week head on
[00:26:46] over there might be something that you're that you want and or need there's a Fiverr page where you can work one-on-one with me if you really want to learn a lot fast that's the way
[00:26:58] way that you can do it as I get older and older I I I kind of realize that like the best way to learn is to surround myself with the experts in that World and it is my pleasure to sort
[00:27:12] of be one of the FPV experts that can really help you guys learn quickly I try really hard to dump all the knowledge in my head out on these live streams so that it can sort of live on
[00:27:22] forever but it's you're going to have to watch an awful a lot of streams to get all the answers to all of your questions for 40 bucks or 60 bucks you can do a half an hour or hour long
[00:27:37] session and get absolutely all of your questions answered and then some like once you start asking me questions I get a feel for what you're trying to learn and I can sort of walk
[00:27:47] you down the path and really give you all the good info again all the info is out there if you're getting info from Facebook groups stop they are more than 50% bad info so be
[00:28:01] super careful there if you're going to get info from Facebook group Facebook groups make sure you you look at the people that are giving you the info to make sure that they've been around a
[00:28:11] while and they're sort of technically minded because there's a lot of stuff in FPV that like seems like it would be right and it's completely wrong and you can actually
[00:28:23] get hurt right 5 in rigs will do some damage Dage and it's so careful careful with that stuff there's also a whole bunch of affiliate links over on the website which you can replace
[00:28:39] your bookmarks with if you want to support me support me even further it's free money basically and so if you've got a little bit of extra time replace your bookmarks with
[00:28:52] affiliate links and way you go I don't know why there's so many batteries in a row okay there we go that must have been me spectating the HD my HD zero goggles are actually starting to get
[00:29:03] pretty bad I talked to Bob noxious about this he had to send his in a couple of times for repair for the same issue when you when you power them on they get hung up in the menu and then
[00:29:15] you got to power them off and power them back on they've been doing that since I first got them I got them used and they've been doing that a little bit since I first got them but man they're
[00:29:25] starting to do it an awful lot and I found myself having to turn them on and off and on and off and on and off and on off all weekend so at some point I guess I'll have to send them in Bob was
[00:29:37] told that it's like a firmware thing but the firmware update procedure is like seems pretty insane from what he was saying so I'm I don't know I'll figure it out
[00:29:51] though so all that to say that there's going to be some like weird files in here that are just just like static and noise and whatnot so get ready for that Scotty Scott
[00:30:04] tagged me and said sorry I didn't get to castle crash maybe next time got to meet King gangly drone you'll dig it come out next year Scotty Scott you'll you'll have a
[00:30:15] blast man it's was a great time everybody had a great time Denzel the terrible says now now name everyone you can in this flyth through video I'm not going to do
[00:30:25] that there are just so I I I I have a hard time with names as it is and then what compounds that is that a lot of people will have one name on YouTube one name on I mean usually your real name is
[00:30:37] on Facebook but sometimes there'll be like a nickname on Facebook a real name in patreon a different name on Discord a different name on Instagram right and so and I'm already not
[00:30:48] great with names as it is so I'm not going to try to read out everybody's names because it feels bad to be the one person that gets forgotten there so I'll just forget everybody and then everybody
[00:30:58] feels bad I guess just Mo says doing editing tonight nope I I'm going to try to talk through as much of I'm going to try to recap as much of castle crash as I
[00:31:15] possibly can and then I I I might fly a few batteries I have a ton of ons 450s still charged so I would love to fly a couple of them with where my brain is
[00:31:32] at being kind of a dick I'm afraid that I'll I'll just get pissed but I'll at least give it a shot I'll at least like fly one or two batteries and if I can see that I'm just getting upset
[00:31:43] I'll I'll probably bail fair warning but you're going to get to see a ton of flying in all this tiny whoop flight footage from within the the whoop house here so there will be no lack of
[00:31:56] of flight footage tonight so hopefully it's cool if I either don't fly at all or only fly like one or two so doubles FPV says castle crash was an awesome experience but hanging in the
[00:32:11] whoop house was definitely the highlight of my weekend very cool very cool man doubles was was ripping a bunch in there I got to watch him I got to spectate him a bunch which was super fun bunch
[00:32:22] of people there were a bunch of really really really good pilots in here this was an absurdly challenging spot to fly this is Friday night when it wasn't all the way set up it got even more sort of busy
[00:32:39] slash cluttered slash crazy Saturday and Sunday when most people were were flying in here there were only a couple of us that flew here on the Friday night and I mean there were some
[00:32:51] Pilots that were dealing with how much and how much there was in there and how small the the the spacing was in between elements really really really well it was super impressive I can
[00:33:05] tell that there a bunch of you guys are are doing the six batteries a day thing there's there's CIS it was it was super impressive it was really really really cool to see so many
[00:33:20] people able to fly in such a challenging spot and there was a like I said there was lot going on in here so I hope there's Kevin some shooting at me with a little
[00:33:34] gel Blaster really cool stuff re really like whoop is the way my friends I I it's they are arguably some of the most if not the most challenging rigs to fly in areas like this because there's just
[00:33:54] stuff everywhere right like when you fly outside the gap between most things that you fly between is like 5T 10 ft and then the the the rig that you're flying that you're flying is either like a foot
[00:34:08] wide or maybe if it's a micro maybe like half a foot wide that leaves you with a lot of leeway that's a big gap for you to th fly through compared to a tiny whoop trying to get through
[00:34:23] you know these Gates and the legs between this table and in between the the Maze of patio lights that are here so super super super hard to fly tiny whoops
[00:34:38] aggressively at all but especially trying to fly them freestyle aggressively inside which is what most people were doing so it was it was really cool to kind of see that
[00:34:50] and and it's felt good that that there were so many people that have obviously been buting their asses flying every day to get good at at one of the hardest disciplines in in FPV in my
[00:35:06] opinion Cole power says my pit mix loves drones RC and RC cars and Power Wheels it's the noise he's Snoop booped me out of the air a few times disarm and he and he loses like
[00:35:19] 90% interest dogs are funny man dogs are funny with with nonhuman non-n nature things white fox is in the house what's up dude he says I'm here thank you for thank you so much for coming
[00:35:35] and having fun my pleasure man thank you for all the hard work it was a big setup and breakdown and like I said Josh did most of it all the volunteers though in In fairness
[00:35:49] just like really went out of their way to make this such a cool thing the volunteers the organizers the sponsors everybody involved it was super super super fun
[00:35:58] um flying carrot says do you ever dabble into the world of Lego a tiny little bit I have a I have a Lego Ferrari F40 which is arguably like my favorite sort of halo car of all time and then I also have
[00:36:20] a Lego old school Mini Cooper the the F40 is is torn apart because I have a light kit that I need to put in it and it's really hard to do that so I figured I would tear it all the way
[00:36:39] apart and then build it and then put it all back together this is somebody I don't know who this is but this is somebody if you recognize your OSD call it out whoever this is like look at
[00:36:51] that like like that's hard this is hard as hell to like get into these Gates as a part of a dive that that's really hard like this stuff is hard the the Lego Mini
[00:37:05] Cooper I actually went onto Lego's website I I went to a Lego store many years ago and they were selling a fully built OG Mini Cooper but it was a convertible and I was like that's weird
[00:37:22] I I don't remember that being an option so I looked it up and it's not an option and I realized like somebody just did that right it's funny when when I was growing up Lego didn't really have
[00:37:34] hardly any plans it was just a box of bricks and then you built whatever the hell you wanted since I was a kid Lego has turned into basically like a puzzle where it comes with a very specific set
[00:37:47] of bricks and a lot of a bunch of custom bricks typically and then a set of instructions and then you follow the instructions and build it and then you're done and so it's kind of like
[00:37:57] a drastically different experience still very cool but it was it was interesting to have this moment of like oh right somebody just did that and so I took mine and looked at it and I
[00:38:11] was like okay well how the hell would I do that and figured it out I went on to Lego's website and you can order individual bricks from their website and that's what I did I ordered all the individual
[00:38:23] bricks and did a convertible version here I'll show you of the Mini Cooper and it came out really good like like if if I hadn't told you that you would absolutely think that you would
[00:38:45] absolutely think that it was just a model that I built but this this used to have a roof and so I got those guys I got all these guys I got I don't think think I had to get them
[00:38:58] and made my own Mini Cooper Convertible which is I don't think they actually I don't think they made the old school minis in convertible I could totally be wrong but there's
[00:39:10] that hopefully that just worked I can't see OBS so if I'm on the wrong scene I apologize all right hold on let me get this out of the way I also spaced because I'm
[00:39:24] a I'm a rer at heart I also SPAC the wheels out so the wheels stick out farther in the fenders this is now somebody else this is cater and so this is this is me
[00:39:41] just and there's doubles look at that this is me just bouncing around to different channels and just spectating other people flying which was really really fun I I've not done that in a
[00:39:53] long time because like typically when I fly with other people it's outside and it's like God knows what video system anybody is on with tiny whoops it's typically just two video
[00:40:05] systems although it's m it's dominated by analog which is really really cool which is great too because like WalkSnail is kind of hard to spectate right like the person flying has to have
[00:40:16] broadcast mode turned on and then hd0 I guess is is easy to spectate but hd0 is not like the most popular thing yet I can tell that this is the light AF frame so we are now flying I am now
[00:40:32] flying a Mobula 6224 version one the direct soldered one which is a little bit lighter I don't think you can get it anymore that has been the camera's been switched to a runam nano3
[00:40:47] the canopy has been switched to the old school Mobula 6 canopy and then the frame has been switched to the Newbie drone cockroach light AF that's pretty much it this is a super simple
[00:40:59] build 0702 28,000 KV Motors I think the Mulo 6 2024 comes with and then the props have been switched to the geman 129s I remember I hadn't flown this super lightweight rig in a while and I
[00:41:20] was just blown away by how light it actually is and so I was having to adjust a little bit especially like lately I've been flying a lot of 75mm rigs which are the polar
[00:41:31] opposite and so little little bit sloppy here because I'm just trying to get kind of used to it being so light we didn't have a lot of stopping on each other video issues but
[00:41:44] it's was certainly happening from time to time we were also having some some stuff with people outside that were flying and then like somebody flying digital outside even like even like in
[00:41:55] the in the back flight line it would I I I think it was kind of bleeding over from time to time in into our little area cuz we were pretty much all on 25 Ms and so if somebody's banging
[00:42:07] away at like one watt even if they're far away digital versus analog digital is always sort of going to win but there's that hold on let me get caught up on chat
[00:42:26] here flying carrot says I actually just got that exact same Mini Cooper last week very cool it's a it's super fun it's got a my favorite little secret thing about it is it has a a
[00:42:39] little a picnic setup in the in the trunk you'll see it's really cool really really cool model flying carrot says look up Lego set 1019 95 I'm actually a reseller and got my hands on this Set
[00:42:52] for whoa for less than 500 it sells for 1,00 Jesus he's I actually used to have a Bricklink store where I sold Parts very very cool I'm kind of curious as to what an
[00:43:05] $1,100 Lego set looks like hold on I'm going to look it up on the side monitor here Lego set 10195 Republic Dropship holy Christ you guys should look this
[00:43:21] up I'm paste it in chat to make your life a little bit easier that's insane oh enough with the popups come on now building instructions Republic drop ship with atot Walker Wait no that's not
[00:43:39] the one that's not the one must be something different oh is it the Lord of the Rings one what do I search for on on Google to find it I don't think this Republic drop ship is it doesn't look like it's
[00:43:55] $1,500 worth of Lego it looks fancy but it doesn't look $1,500 fancy this is what I'm seeing oh God I can't pull the thing over because it's full screen hold on I don't think this is it this doesn't
[00:44:09] look like $1,500 maybe it is you never know is it this is it this Lord of the Rings thing this one's 460 all right what else is happening Chad flying car flying it says bag
[00:44:27] three is the convertible top for it for it for that set it allows you it allows you either option no way huh I did I completely missed that or I could I might be thinking about I
[00:44:47] built I I went on Lego's website and I bought parts to make my my TV over there it's kind of wobbles like this it's on a central Mount which is just silly and so the whole thing does this so I bought
[00:45:06] bricks to make two little pillars on the outside so that it wouldn't Rock like this anymore maybe that's what I'm thinking about I'm not sure to be honest back to more flying this now
[00:45:22] is oh this is I believe this is Eva flying the flying the nope it's me it's me I can see myself flying what rig is this there's no there's no ducts in view which potentially means that it just has
[00:45:45] the up tilt cranked up really high I guess huh I don't know what rig this is I'm going to guess that this is the 36,000 KV Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop that's going to be my guess oh I can
[00:46:02] hold on I can like look oh it's totally that rig because it's got a ton of uptilt so this is the Ultimate Freestyle T like old school Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop build 2g4
[00:46:13] cockroach V3 802 36,000 KV motors with geman 1210 by blades oh and I cracked one of the one of the props look at that that is absolutely this is the only rig that I've got with
[00:46:33] anywhere near enough uptilt to get the ducts out of view and I I kind of recognize the I kind of recognize the OSD and the the camera the camera is a little bit low contrast this is
[00:46:48] what I'm talking about we we every once in a while we had some we had some interference and so I'm going to try to fast forward through as much of that as I can so it's getting pretty bad here
[00:47:07] that's all right again this is just Friday night this is just kind of playing around Saturday night and Sunday night it was now you'll see it was wild looking in
[00:47:19] there come on come on come on come on here we go all right so I think this is still Friday night but more kind of farting around tiny shark says would it be fine
[00:47:37] if I move my Mobula 6 2024 AIO into a meteor 75 Pro frame and Motors maybe but you are going to be pushing the 5 amp fats well hold on let me see I don't think I've actually
[00:47:58] specifically looked at the amp rating on the the Mobula 6 2024 it's probably 5 amps but I want to check it 5 amp fets so you are going to be pushing those five amp fets to their
[00:48:19] absolute limit you might be okay you might not I have not run Motors that are that powerful on the Mobula 6 2024 and my experience with motors that are that powerful and
[00:48:37] props that are that big is that you want more than 5 amp fets like it'll work but it feels it's kind of abusive towards the fats don't quote me on that I could totally be wrong I hope that I'm
[00:48:51] wrong but I mean when you run anything absolutely as hard as it possibly can right it's going to take it typically takes a toll on it I know we we'd like to think that
[00:49:02] electronics are not but unfortunately they are here in the real world so you'd be pushing the limits I've run that setup on 2 G4S before which also have 5 amp fets and
[00:49:18] it works it doesn't give full power it still gives plenty of power but when I've taken that exact same setup and moved it over to an X12 a with 12 amp fets it literally makes more
[00:49:32] power it literally turns more RPM and so there's that but you could absolutely do it and see how you like it like running a couple of batteries on it is not going to be a
[00:49:46] problem it shouldn't be a problem but if you're going to leave it you you could end up kind of like reducing the lifespan of that of that Mobula 6 2024 AO since 5
[00:50:02] amp fets and you're kind of pushing them to limit the the safer thing to do for a meteor 755 Pro frame and Motors is going to be a X12 or possibly the hglrc Spectre AIO I mean just any 1S AIO that
[00:50:20] has more than 5 amp fets typically they're going to be 10 or 12 amp there there's a couple of them out there I I haven't tested many of them yet the hdlc Spectre is is the one that I'm kind of
[00:50:31] focused on right now speaking of my my replacement hdrc Spectre AO came today in the mail from from get FPV so I don't know maybe Sunday we dive back into that and give that
[00:50:48] AIO another try we'll see so all that being said the BetaFPV meteor 75 Pro BNF which is this right here has 5 amp fets it has the BetaFPV cross style AO which only has 5 amp fets on it
[00:51:11] and it works pretty well I have started to get the I don't know if it's on this one or another one but I'm starting to get with the same Motors I'm starting to get the core temperature War
[00:51:26] morning which is I think that is the fets starting to starting to basically cook we'll see I'm going to just keep flying through it and it doesn't stay on the whole time
[00:51:41] but that's typically what we see with like the 5 amp fets when you run them on the higher power power trains they they work for a little bit but then and you start to get Motors twitching you start
[00:51:58] to get all kinds of other nonsense and it's just I I think the best of what I can figure out is that it's the it's just the fats getting driven too hard just being asked for too much and
[00:52:13] they're overheating and starting to [@$#%] the bed and then eventually one of them will let go and that motor won't spin and you get to buy another AO which is of course what you know I'm
[00:52:27] I'm trying to prevent by having this conversation right now like I said could be totally okay but it's seems like 1102 22000 with 45mm props are pushing 5 amps to their bitter limit
[00:52:43] and so don't expect to get a thousand batteries in a row out of that setup be a little bit more realistic and if you want to get hundreds and hundreds of batteries out of that setup
[00:52:54] you want to look at an aiio that's got 10 or 12 amp fets more more than five amp fets I'm cleaning speaking of the 75 Pro I'm currently cleaning the grass off of it because I flew I
[00:53:11] think two maybe three batteries on it over at the at the front area you'll see in a little bit the front flight line at night which was very very fun Maddie blunts did an amazing amazing
[00:53:31] amazing work of art work of graffiti art on this Tower with two different dive gaps on the left and right it was just so cool and I I got to I got to see it when he just
[00:53:44] started it and then I got to see it as he was working on it and then I of course got to see the finished product product all lit up just so cool man I I I've always been so jealous of like
[00:53:56] just just like artists in general like like artists that draw Andor paint right like I guess what's that visual art no I guess visual art what we do could be considered visual art I don't know I
[00:54:07] I've I've been very jealous my whole life of folks that can draw and I I actually like we talked about it briefly and he actually said that he got a bunch of graffiti tips from bot I
[00:54:21] didn't realize that bot knew how to do graffiti stuff just one of the many amazing super cool things about him as well speaking of bot was there as well got to hang out with him for a
[00:54:32] little bit that was great he of course was super busy lots of people wanting to hang out with him and say hi which I totally get and that was awesome he's been one
[00:54:46] of my best friends in FPV even though we don't talk a lot I I just I don't know I consider him to be one of my best FPV friends maybe it's that North Jersey not North Jersey Northeast East Philly
[00:54:58] kind of bond but it was just so good to see him we we talked a little bit about he's doing some really cool like longdistance bicycle riding stuff which is insane so so so
[00:55:11] cool riding like 40 and 50 miles with like camping gear he told me the name there there's a name for it like bike trekking or something I wish I remember the name of it but it
[00:55:24] sounded super cool and I I was just like that's rad like because that's going to get your your head right that's going to get your health right great exercise so super cool man bod
[00:55:36] is I'm very lucky to get to call him a friend he's a just an amazing human being what else we got going on in chat here
[00:55:56] 1B says I believe the 2g4 is in stock at rdq in the moment rdq I think pyro drone might still have a couple but in my opinion the spot to get them from is wee bed FPV Weeble FPV just
[00:56:12] got 125 of the 2 G4S in stock and they are a tiny whoop specific store with amazing stuff so if you get one of those from from nothing wrong with pyro drone or EQ but if you order from Weeble you're
[00:56:29] supporting a tiny whoop specific store which is awesome but you're also going to have access to like lots of other stuff that you can kind of only get from a tiny whoop specific store I mean like
[00:56:39] there's a bunch of really cool stuff that you can only get from you can only get from wee bed like the red 129s props and the 40,000 KV Motors and stuff right so that's super
[00:56:52] cool in itself there but in my opinion if you're going to get a 2g4 support wee bed and hook it up I do have an affiliate link but if you forget to use it's okay just get
[00:57:05] you some good stuff if you remember though thank you very cool of you Scotty Scott has a beta air BetaFPV air 65 that is a great flying rig but he thinks his dongle stopped working
[00:57:20] because it won't connect to BetaFlight that is something that I was s of weirded out by like I love the idea of an AIO not having a heavy USB port on it but the little dongle thing that they
[00:57:35] give you to convert the jst plug that it does have to USB I was more thinking like what if I lose this damn thing but if that dongle stops working you're kind of asked out
[00:57:52] although I'll bet you you can shoot a message to BetaFPV and say my little dongle thing stopped working can you help and they'll reply back with no that's the type of thing that you
[00:58:04] have to talk to your doctor about and then you reply back and say oh I didn't say dingle dangle I said dongle and then they'll say what you do on your own
[00:58:16] time is up to you and then you can reply back and you can say the little piece that converts the jst plug to USB and then they'll say oh here we'll sell you one for a dollar or we'll ship you
[00:58:29] one for nothing or whatever or is there anything on our store that you want to buy we'll throw it into the we'll throw it into the into the box for you or you might be able to find
[00:58:42] somebody that has an extra one I technically do have an extra one but I I I'm not going to then I'm not going to send you that and then I lose mine and I'm screwed I'm keeping my second one if
[00:58:56] I get a third one you're more than welcome to it but right now I only have two one of them is here on the bench one of them I keep in in like my flight bag and it's going to
[00:59:06] stay like I I love you but I don't love you that much here's the here's the things in front I don't know what oh I do know what I'm flying this is the
[00:59:17] 82.8 27,000 KV 75mm rig RunCam Nano camera this is the the installment up front this was Friday night I think where not absolutely all of the LEDs were on you'll see over by Maddy's incredible
[00:59:40] artwork that only one of the dive gaps is lit up you'll see that in a minute here but oh my God Nightwings says they sell on I I I didn't realize you guys were back in stock awesome
[00:59:53] Nightwing you can post a link so there you go also tiny whoop.com has has 2 G4S so really like look between tiny whoop and wee bed there's something from one of those
[01:00:09] stores that you want so buy the 2g4 from there and then get that other thing that you want both of those stores have the coolest stuff for tiny whoops in FPV so hook it upoh the dongle no
[01:00:24] way oh Nightwing very cool so there you go there's your solution tiny whoop has the dongle and they've got lots of other really cool stuff so get yourself a fresh set of Motors or
[01:00:35] whatever and the dongle and Away you go very cool thank you Nightwing let me scroll back up in chat and we'll keep charging through here justo says I'm going to be moving to the
[01:00:48] Middle East soon I was looking for FPV groups and there are none how would I go about forming a community also does sand ruin Motors it doesn't ruin Motors but you can ruin Motors because
[01:01:02] of sand if you get sand in a motor and you just sit there hammering on it arming it going Full Throttle doing Turtle mode going full throttle and turtle mode you can certainly ruin a set
[01:01:14] of Motors that are jammed up with sand if you relax and take a breath and then like pick the quad up and spin the spin the props with your finger a little bit the sand will fall out and then you
[01:01:26] can keep flying castle crash is sand everywhere and I don't know if I'm sure some Motors got blown up there you go so there's just the one dive Gap is lit up you you'll see later on that
[01:01:39] they're both lit up I'm just going to fast forward throw so sand in itself does not ruin Motors it jams them up a little bit and then you've got to get it cleared out so they they they you maybe
[01:01:53] carry like a can of air with you or I know they make like a battery powered like super powerful canned a replacement fan thing that might be a great thing for you to get get your
[01:02:04] hands on but most of the time you can just pick the rig up and just spin the the motor by hand while you're kind of like shaking it and the sand will fall out the other question about how to
[01:02:17] form a community is a that's such a great question time is the answer really I mean it's going to be if it were me I would start up a Facebook group I would start trying
[01:02:42] to find Instagram like hashtags and stuff with with some folks that that have to do with that area that you're going to be in that's how I would go about it Discord although
[01:02:59] it's hard to search Discord so I think your best BET's going to be Facebook group related and then you're so so that's probably what you've already done so I mean spend a
[01:03:14] little bit more time doing that and then once you've given up that there's anything El there's anything that somebody else has set up you're just going to set that stuff up yourself you
[01:03:24] just you just have to put yourself in the mindset of what would somebody in this area search for that was searching for other FPV Pilots to fly through right so here in Atlanta for
[01:03:36] example that would be like ATL FPV hashtag on Instagram Atlanta FPV and then like you can go smaller like I would go like duth FPV I would go like smaller towns that are around
[01:03:56] and so that that and then once you start posting stuff with those then other people that might search for that or that search for something close to that they're going to find you the
[01:04:10] Facebook group is going to kind of just do its own thing you're going to stuff as many keywords as you can into the description of the Facebook group and then you're going to post that [@$#%] on
[01:04:21] different other Facebook groups and say likeanybody in such and such such area those are going to be the best ways to do it and it's going to take time but there's kind of no other
[01:04:34] way to build a community building a community is is a Time intensive thing but it's worth it once you get a bunch of cool people together because you can go fly and all
[01:04:44] [@$#%] and moan about how much the sand sucks great question dude Kevin suner says tell the people we have a survey for castle crash attendees attendees to do it can enter to win a flywing RC
[01:04:59] single rotor helicopter very cool note helicopter helicopter and there's a link there you guys go there's a link in chat from Kevin suar I'm going to repost it in the
[01:05:10] chat just so that it's current there you guys go is that link somewhere on the website Kevin JP spin says bike packing my guy get out here you deserve it so that's what it's called bike packing
[01:05:23] that's a very cool name for it's Scotty Scott says damn I fixed it had a bent pin in the dongle and that right there is what sucks about jst plugs the potential for bent pins and
[01:05:40] the annoyance that is trying to bend them back straight that's awesome you got it fixed though and it's also awesome that tiny whoop sells that thing because you're like without it you
[01:05:54] can't hook up oh I'm I mean I guess no no you can't even hook up to you can't even hook up to Speedy Bay Kevin Summoner says link is in the castle crash Discord and the castle
[01:06:08] crash insta Instagram group I suppose I could throw it on the website real quick I would throw it on the website because if somebody's watching this after the fact it'll be the
[01:06:18] it'll be easiest for them just to hit the website real quick and old people like websites and there were a lot there were a bunch of us oldies there all right so I'm caught up on chat
[01:06:33] so this is flying that front spot the first night before it was all lit up we're going to get to the end of that and now this is going to sort of bring us into here you go here it is all the way
[01:06:49] properly lit up so this was I want to say Saturday night and so now you can really get to see MD's artwork although this is his artwork under black light in in the daytime it looked
[01:07:03] completely different there's a lot more colors going on in the daytime but it was really cool I don't know if he did it on purpose or not but like it looked like a whole different piece of art with
[01:07:12] the with the blackl on it because he used like blacklight reflective paint in certain spots so I thought that was like extra [@$#%] cool but now both of the dive gaps are are lit up this
[01:07:25] is me flying significantly worse this night I'm trying to think of what I was flying here I think I was flying the same rig I think this is the the 80 2.8 27,000 KV 75mm
[01:07:41] rig but I was the it was I was I was really trying to get like a good run with this doing something in this Cube thing but then also doing those dive gaps over here these dive
[01:07:54] gaps were really really difficult to get out of because of the three the three posts so it was I didn't get like a super clean one but I can probably edit something together that makes me
[01:08:08] flying up here look somewhat watchable this was really really cool this was a really really cool setup I couldn't believe I caught that and then just bashed into the outside like a
[01:08:20] total donkey so flew around there a bunch here is now the whoop house all purpled out this is now either Saturday night or Sunday night probably Saturday night here this is probably me having the
[01:08:37] wrong module and then fixing it so here we go here is White Fox's Master work I'm sure other people helped him out but I I know that he did he might have done all of the
[01:08:52] breakdown and that [@$#%] sucks believe me I I I know all about it from from micro Mayhem and Rampage I mean there's usually like four or five of us breaking that [@$#%] down and it takes forever and
[01:09:05] it's just so very very cool loads of UV lights black UV black lights up on the Rafters there you can see him just showering this whole area and then they had all this fluorescent
[01:09:25] tape that they put up which is just such a cool look I never thought about doing that at at Mike or Mayhem at Rampage but if I go next year I might because it's really worked well and it
[01:09:37] really looked cool this is I am now flying the Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop with 0702 32,000 KV Motors and the HQ YOLO ultra light Tri blades this is the rig that I flew the most and I
[01:09:59] thought it would be kind of cool to take a look at some of the damage here of which there is none I lost a propeller switched that there's some hair in it weirdly but other than
[01:10:18] that I mean one of these one of these ducts is starting to get a little bit out round let me show you that I I probably flew 20 maybe 25 batteries on this rig and this this whoop house here is
[01:10:40] all wood so every single crash was pretty nasty wood is admittedly not as bad as like concrete or metal but man it is almost as bad it's is way different than crashing on on carpet
[01:10:56] and so all these crashes were hard hard hard hits and so this is a cockroach V3 canopy we can see that up in the front here it's starting to come a little bit out around this is
[01:11:09] something that we're used to lots of canopies do this I've found these canopies to do that nowhere near as bad as any of the other canopies mainly because of this little
[01:11:26] part that kind of comes out right most most tiny whoop frames have this vertical plastic part and then that's it and so when it's just vertical it collapses in really easily newbie drone
[01:11:39] put this lip on the on the duct and that little lip gives you like a horizontal bit of plastic and that makes it a lot stronger so the fact that I'm starting to
[01:11:58] knock this out of round means that we've been really crashing it hard which I did I crashed the living hell out of this thing I'll be super interested to spin these motors up to see if any of
[01:12:08] them are kind of getting banged up I'll I'll tell you what these I I might stop calling these YOLO props because they put up with a lot of abuse I mean they're they're definitely starting to
[01:12:20] fold like this and then I have to bend them back straight but and usually once that starts to happen it gets worse and worse and worse and then becomes unusable but I did not
[01:12:32] change these three propellers and I only changed this front one because it flew off so these HQ props are actually pretty stout I was I was surprised by that that was a welcome
[01:12:46] surprise because man they perform really really really well they do admittedly still make signif like noticeably less power than the geman 1219 s's so on a rig with 28 or 29 or 27,000 KV Motors
[01:13:03] I'm still going to go to the GemFan 1219 s's all day but if you've got like 32,000 maybe even the 36,000 KV Motors these HQ ultralite Tri blades are really really really good or if you just don't
[01:13:22] want as much power if you've got like 30,000 KV Motors and you don't need all that power these props are a great choice to be honest if you don't already have a set of the 1219 s's a set of the
[01:13:38] HQ ultr light tries and a set of the 1210 GemFan by blades you're only hurting yourself like all three of those tiny whoop propellers are so good and to get a bag of each to get a bag of all
[01:13:55] three of those you're going to spend like1 whole dollars it's well worth it so you you should already have those propellers and you should have already tested them to kind of figure
[01:14:08] out if you like them or not but there you go what else so little bit of damage on this guy I did fly the the light AF rig a bunch and take a look at it's is
[01:14:26] completely fine I probably only put maybe 5 to 10 batteries through this though so it did not get like super hammered on but again the crashes there were
[01:14:43] hard and it has survived and that's awesome I mean it's really doesn't look like I crashed it at all it looks really really clean the 36,000 KV rig here in the black frame
[01:14:58] that had all the uptilt that I was flying around before I probably only flew the same about five batteries on this it looks absolutely fine there's not a thing wrong with it's not
[01:15:09] even scratched up really those are the rigs that I flew the most I I did fly the 75mm rigs a bunch not that much so here we've got a so this is one that I put together
[01:15:33] to the the main reason that I was flying the 75 Pro is I wanted to compare it to this guy which is the exact same build but not on the pro frame not on the big Pro frame on a regular 75mm
[01:15:48] frame this is a Mobula 7 V4 frame and you can actually see I'm starting to knock this duct a little bit out of round you can even see the little white crease there that's kind of beginning
[01:16:03] that's just from front end impact after front end impact after front end impact again when that happens you bend it back and yes it is a little bit weaker and it's going to bend
[01:16:14] again here but you you can fly this a bunch more even though it's started to go out around other than that it's looking pretty good it has
[01:16:27] survived what else so in the 75mm worlds I did fly this guy I remember I put a bunch of batteries through this one as well this is the I'll just hold it up for you guys to look at
[01:16:43] because there's there's really not a whole lot to see this is a 2g4 board with the Mobula 6 camera and canopy on a mobula 7 V4 frame but with the igal Motors and the 1610 by blades
[01:17:02] they're spider sugar getting some b-roll and me of course being a ham this thing flew great it was awesome to fly 802 27,000 again actually these are the 30,000 but they fly very similar
[01:17:17] with the 1610 propellers this is just this is the the the jungle gy Basher formula and I think it remains really like my my favorite kind of allaround indoor/outdoor mainly outdoor 75 millim
[01:17:33] rig so this thing did great and it absolutely survived and then the the rig that took the majority of the abuse was the one that I've already taken apart
[01:17:47] which is on the 82.8 and I have to take it a part to switch the antenna out other than the antenna it seems to have survived this build here is in the medor 75
[01:18:04] airframe which I've I've had some questions about durability wise I just haven't smashed the living hell out of it and it is held up completely fine nothing's bent out of shape it looks
[01:18:17] it's scuffed up so I can tell that I've slammed it a bunch now but there is no part of this Frame that is starting to that weird nope nope nope nope I lied it's starting to get a couple tiny
[01:18:31] little creases in there that's kind of interesting I've I've never seen that before that's an interesting spot for it to kind of crease you see it in there I wouldn't think that it would be able
[01:18:47] to crease in there but there's something about frontend impacts that are dumping a bunch of energy in here so you can kind of see it on both sides you're starting to get a little bit of a crease
[01:18:56] there but that is not bad this thing got crashed pretty good and it's looking awesome I am laughing my ass off and I wonder why let's see let's see why I'm
[01:19:14] laughing oh because I almost hit I think that was Josh think it is Josh wow that was close God I love tiny whoops you can almost kill someone and just laugh your ass off
[01:19:27] about it without feeling bad so man th those are all the rigs that got flown I did not put a single 5- in battery up in the air because I'm the worst I did fly a bunch of 3-in
[01:19:41] batteries which is great I I I wish I'd been able to get a bunch of the guys went over and flew an abandoned ball I just I I I just did make it over there I'm super
[01:19:57] regretful of that I I I feel was just really dumb to not go over and fly I I didn't realize it was as good as it is though I I saw Shelby V flying through it with a wing which is
[01:20:11] absolutely the most ridiculous thing ever last night and I'm just filled with regret that that I didn't make it over there and fly that spot
[01:20:25] I mean maybe next year but it's an abandoned Mall how how long are they going to let it sit there before they tear it down right so that's a super bummer I I feel like a complete
[01:20:35] idiot because of that I also didn't fly the concrete Factory which was like right down the street I did so much flying here in the whoop house that like I wasn't desperate to go out and
[01:20:50] fly other stuff but I I I really I'm I I I really wish that I had I really do I need to get better about that I need to get better about not just flying tiny whoop stuff like a
[01:21:06] lot of people at this point know me as like just the tiny whoop guy this is Viv by the way as you can see by the OSD I I I and that's not it at all like I I I need to
[01:21:21] fly it's just it's so easy and it's so convenient and it's so lazy to just fly tiny whoop stuff I need to stop being so lazy and go fly bigger stuff because I'm getting
[01:21:37] rusty so that that I'm very frustrated with myself in terms of that but that's where that's what drives the shame train and the shame train is very very good at convincing you to make changes and
[01:21:56] so there's that I'm considering trying to browbeat Patrick into doing a road trip up there to fly that Bando Mall and the and maybe the concrete place I I don't know what the deal is with the concrete place
[01:22:14] though I don't know if like they get permission or whatever but the that mall is the main thing and apparently there's like no security guards or anything in there so you can just go in
[01:22:24] and fly it I forget who this was but this is an air 75 ripping around and they were they were shredding so we'll leave this on for a minute or two even though the crosshairs drive me
[01:22:37] absolutely insane some people like them and that's okay whatever oh there's me changing channels I guess there's Cisco with with a core temperature warning I think this might be one of his
[01:22:53] 2s rigs he was he was struggling with core temperature warnings we were talking about it for a while what else is happen in the chat here just Mo says I started FPV racing
[01:23:12] and I don't want to give that up but it seems like I'm going to be just freestyling over there also I'm hoping I can get a name for myself to do FPV as a career nice I mean if you're
[01:23:22] the only guy over there and you get some flight footage up on Instagram and get some solid hashtags in there you will you will get work so get to
[01:23:38] it danzel the temple says SE and just which Floy did that hair come from you're in the doghouse Mister it's from it's from all the dogs that were there for sure
[01:23:57] Jacob Russell says tried flashing new Mobula 8 to new firmware hold on let me get some of this fast forwarded through this is somebody else I don't recognize this OSD I don't know who it is but this is
[01:24:10] somebody else and this is us watching you fly this is the this is the the the scary part about flying analog is that somebody else might might DVR you without even realizing it and then
[01:24:28] play it on their live stream but it's okay because no matter where you're at in your FPV flying skills Journey every single one of us was at that same point at one point or another so it's
[01:24:39] all good as long as you're having fun and Kevin Sumer says survey is on the website now look at that old people for the win Jacob Rell says tried flashing new Mobula 8 to new firm Ware it got
[01:24:55] stuck Midway in the flash so I disconnected and restarted BetaFlight when trying to restart it says it failed to open cereal part Cal Port just keep trying Jacob ju just keep
[01:25:09] trying it over and over and over again it can get really kind of like stuck and weird but for some strange reason a lot of the times if you just keep hitting the problem with a hammer
[01:25:23] it'll magically flash it all the way through usually it's not totally screwed this is me harassing because that's what I do sometimes this is a clearr this is almost certainly the 72 32,000 KV rig on
[01:25:42] the the HQ ultra light Tri blades look at that I'm already not calling them YOLO props although I really like the name YOLO props and they are and they are more fragile than the other really good props
[01:25:57] so I guess we can still kind of call them YOLO props but LOL the ks says the new be a hero sticker is pretty pretty sweet CAU me caught me off guard it was still lit up in the middle of the
[01:26:08] night nice that's one of the new stickers that are on the Etsy store it's the the GoPro logo but with CiottiFPV and then it says I made it say be a hero because be
[01:26:22] a hero my friends Cisco FPV says mine is doing the same funny creasing I noticed before we left Cisco also says if you want to hit the Bando mall I'm local grw up 10
[01:26:33] minutes from Road by today scoping at the entrance exit very cool if I make it up there I'll I'll let man spooka dog Kujo says Shelby's Mall video was insane I it it's
[01:26:44] just ridiculous it's just absolutely ridiculous that a he can fly a wing that slowly but but B accurately I mean I guess once he's inside of there though there's not a lot of wind so
[01:26:58] maybe it's not that hard but it just looks impossibly hard I'll bet that it is but still that was like just outrageously impressive to see him fly a wing
[01:27:14] through an abandoned Mall what the hell Cisco says that was air 75 MIM 2g4 30,000 KV on 161 12s with the core temperature warning warning there you go scold 901 says where is this mall
[01:27:32] it's in oh [@$#%] what's the name of the town damn it I forget the name of the town Cisco will probably type it in the chat in a second so this is Saturday night
[01:27:52] we flew a ton we flew until like I want to say 2: a.m. and then I during the day Saturday I believe is when I flew those grind arino batteries that we watched at the beginning of the
[01:28:09] stream and then on Sunday I think is when I flew the the quad mola because because on Saturday the the siren just didn't work for no reason and then Sunday it did so Augusta there
[01:28:24] it is thank you Cisco there's that so this should still be Saturday night but we might be into Sunday at this point lots more flying this is probably the same rig probably
[01:28:44] the same rig this is obviously a different rig because you have eyes this so this is the Nano hawk camera this is a runam nano no this might not be this might be a no this is the fxt
[01:29:04] camera so this is the this would be the ultr light rig so this will be cool this is significantly lighter this is the light AF rig Mobula 6 2024 V1 we should really see it in a second as soon
[01:29:19] as I start whopping it around we'll be able to see by how sharp it is see that that that yaw is immediately obvious this so this is the new fxt cam which is great it's
[01:29:32] such a good camera and then on on a rig that's oh wait no no no no no I'm sorry this is not the fxt camera this is that rig but this is the this is the runcam nano3 the Nano
[01:29:47] Hawk version that's why it's all bright like this the fxt camera I now have on a drift car chasing rig which I don't really freestyle because I don't want to beat the hell out of
[01:30:00] it here's some audio from the from the goggles wow that's ridiculous oh now that I've figured out with help from you beautiful people how to get that mic on the HD zero goggles it's
[01:30:21] really cool really really cool man this room was so lit up holy Christ it was crazy you could like feel the heat coming off all the UV lamps it was nuts so there you go there's the 16.6
[01:30:40] G rig a little bit more from it now we're back to this would be the 36,000 KV 702 rig and that's me not having the right module in I'm assuming you guys are probably getting
[01:30:59] sick of watching flight footage by now so I'm going to try to just blast through it and see if I can find some other stuff for you to kind of watch I also started flying pretty
[01:31:14] bad which is okay it's not a contest but there's a there's a point where I I I don't know what happens but I just I start flying worse at some point but usually that's not for like 10
[01:31:29] or 15 batteries so I'll usually get a bunch of batteries in that I'm actually flying half decent parkour guy says hold on he says how would you secure a heat set gold threaded nut that cameram
[01:31:50] mount screws go into I tried to do it with Superglue and it seeped on the camera sensor and still broke apart E6000 oh man that's hard the the cameras the FPV cameras take so much
[01:32:07] abuse that I don't know if you're going to be able to do if even if you manage to get it in there I don't I don't think you're going to be able to do it for me I just buy a new camera just cuz
[01:32:19] I mean if you lose the camera you might lose the whole rig E6 th000 is great and all but it's kind of soft so I don't know it like I don't know if that's the right
[01:32:33] answer that's a hard one dude sorry for Mis context it came out when I tried to screw it in I've I've ripped a bunch of those out too it's super annoying I mean you might as well try
[01:32:47] E6000 I I can't think of anything else the like the more aggressive stuff like superglue is gonna potentially get all over the sensor and ruin the sensor so that's a
[01:33:00] really tough one I don't have a great answer for you my friend parkour guy also says what 450s do you recommend I have tattoo batteries but I don't know if they're folded cell and are the cells kind of
[01:33:12] the same like 65 millimet cell batteries I've I've tried a bunch of the different 450s and I don't really see much of a difference I've tried the old school BetaFPV blue and white ones the
[01:33:24] new BetaFPV lavas the black wee beds and the the tiny whoop 450s that have the little lead with the connector what I will say is that the the tiny whoop batteries with the little lead
[01:33:39] like this these are lighter which is great what I don't like about these though is they don't have anything holding them in the frame so if you nose it in really hard the battery can slide
[01:33:51] out the front which is just super annoying so I don't really know if I have a favorite but they all seem to perform exactly the same I think that they're maybe all folded cells cuz they
[01:34:04] look very Square I could totally be wrong about that but I haven't noticed much if any of a difference that being said some of these 450s are old like the BetaFPV blue and whites they're older
[01:34:21] the wee beds are a little bit older the tin whoops are brand new the lavas are brand new and so it's hard like when when I have batteries that are of different ages I'm not when I
[01:34:35] when I fly them back to back it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb if I get like 10 extra runtime 10 extra seconds of runtime on the one because I know that this one might be a little
[01:34:47] bit older this one might be a little bit newer and that's kind of an unfair comparison so there might be a difference between some of these 450s what I can say that is that it's not a
[01:34:59] huge difference so if you're doing an order on wee bed tomorrow just get the Weeble 450s don't like go out of your way to like do a separate order on get FPV because the BetaFPV lavas are
[01:35:14] are a newer battery and might be better I I don't I don't really think that that's the case I think you can buy any of the BT 2.0 450s and they're going to be damn good this is Shelby and the
[01:35:26] crew did a live stream and apparently I just happened to fly in here at the very end of the live stream and they all went absolutely bananas I was like far away from them and I could hear them all
[01:35:36] screaming and yelling this was super super funny the timing was just hysterical got a quick little couple quick little semi- room power Loops in and then I didn't want to be too much of
[01:35:47] a pain in the ass so I kind of got out of there but I I I want to rewatch this stream to see what it looked like for me to fly in there they everybody got like a super big kick out of that that
[01:35:57] which was awesome everybody was like dude holy [@$#%] how did you get that timing so perfect I'm like I don't know I just knew that they were over there streaming so that was definitely this is
[01:36:06] now definitely Sunday night because I know they did that stream on Sunday night so that was awesome we are kind of getting to the end here the rest of this flight
[01:36:20] footage is just going to be me bouncing around and I think this is when I started to kind of fly like ass oh here's me on the on the little catapult thing I don't maybe I didn't
[01:36:32] see it but there was a little catapult here and the we we were like firing each other off of it and you had to try to get armed and not hit the ground which was way harder than you
[01:36:42] would think the the the ultimate would be to get thrown into that Cube and then arm inside the cube and properly fly out of the cube I almost did it I flew out of the top of the cube which doesn't
[01:36:52] really count but a couple people did I think Eva did get into the cube and fly out of it properly which was super awesome speaking of Eva also won the dive of death challenge which was insane
[01:37:04] and like just as scary and Reckless as it looks here's another one of the really bright cameras this is really what this room looked like like this is the best representation of what this
[01:37:16] room looked like it was on [@$#%] fire like the the other runam Nano 3s are kind of like low contrast this Nano Hawk nano3 is giving you the best idea of like what this room
[01:37:30] actually looked like it was crazy it was so bright in there and see like this is me starting to really fly bad like I I just I don't know I'm sure I was tired and probably sleep at private although I
[01:37:44] did get some good sleep I I stayed at a hotel down the road a days in down the road which is actually really decent and the bed was really comfy and I made it a point to sleep in both
[01:37:58] Saturday and Sunday because I was up so late and I just knew that's me getting pushed around by the fan there was a big old fan in there that's why the the quad was like shaking for no reason
[01:38:10] there more of the same I think here I I I am going to charge through this footage and chop it up so there will be an edit of like the highlights it's going to take me a while because as
[01:38:27] you can see there's an awful lot of flight footage from in here right like I've had this flight footage on back to back for over an hour now and we're still not really at the end of it we're
[01:38:41] getting close though we'll keep going until we get to the end of it any other questions you guys have in the chat absolutely leave them I'm trying to think of what
[01:38:49] else I mean there there there's all kinds of little stuff that went down here and there that was hysterical that won't necessarily make any sense to you guys had
[01:38:59] to be there kind of stuff the long and short of it is that it's an amazing event put on by amazing people at a really cool location and you guys should go next year it's not all that
[01:39:12] expensive if you're on the west coast sure it's going to become expensive because you're going to have to get all the way over to the east coast but still castle crash
[01:39:24] regardless of where you're at should be like a bucket list kind of thing for you if you're on the west coast just like Rampage it's a thing that you should do at least once it's a very
[01:39:35] unique experience absolutely worth the cost of coming and doing it once I if if if you're paying $1,000 for a plane ticket I I I don't necessarily know if if if there's events
[01:39:52] on the west coast that you can get to for a lot less than the cost of flying across the country so those are probably the events that you're going to do every year if you
[01:40:01] can afford to do it every year hell same thing I say about Rampage every year is like sure if you can afford to do it every year it's super fun it's a massive party with all
[01:40:10] like-minded lunatics but you got to come to a castle crash it is it is a very unique event at a really cool spot with a really cool group of people it's definitely more of a
[01:40:24] Grassroots event than Rampage which is not a negative at all if anything that's like a kind of like a positive thing and there it is I got through it all so there is all of the flight
[01:40:42] footage from that I got from castle crash in one live stream it's going to take me a while to cut it up because there's so much of it but I I spent like four plus hours last night
[01:40:57] and it was a blast Kevin Su says witness any wild recoveries none that crazy bunch of rigs got stuck in trees poke them out away we go no no super crazy recoveries
[01:41:15] I spent most of my time sort of inside though and in the in the whoop house the worst recovery is that you got to poke it out of the rafters so didn't do much flying outside
[01:41:27] what one of the things I will say is that I I was being a little bit of a primadonna there were a bunch of gnats and man I just got super frustrated by them and so that was one of the
[01:41:38] reasons that I kind of hung out inside a bunch there was a fan in in the whoop house so I I I would like go outside for 15 20 minutes and then I would like retreat back to somewhere or my car
[01:41:49] and just run the air conditioning it was also really hot and so I was I was being a little bit prissy admittedly about that but like I don't know man these were like
[01:42:01] different gats these were gnats that like crawl into your eyeballs and I'm likedon't do that and into your ear holes so but it Kevin suner said that he thinks it's because
[01:42:18] there wasn't a lot of rain and so the gats were like desperate to stay alive whatever I mean you go outside and there's bugs not a whole hell of a lot than
[01:42:32] anybody can do about that so it feels weird complaining about that but fair warning if for some reason you just absolutely can't stand Nets bring a bring a here look this is the
[01:42:47] solution and what what pisses me off is I have one of these and I just didn't think the it but I'm going to put one of these in my flight bag from now on I think you go to Tiny whoop you go to
[01:42:59] the store and you go to the hair protection slfashion page and you just buy yourself this is the one it's sold out I'm sure you can get on Amazon but this is what this is all you need this
[01:43:12] would have completely fixed it up because they're gnats they're not mosquitoes so they're not biting they're just being annoying and there was one person there that had that had one of
[01:43:22] these and so Kevin next year if you can get a whole ton of these cheap enough it would be worth raising the price of the tickets $2.50 if everybody got one of these when
[01:43:43] they can you imagine like a 100 FPV people all wearing these things maybe don't do that I don't know that might be a bit much that that might be a bit much everybody
[01:44:08] wearing these but I for one would absolutely have worn it D to hell with what it looked like I was pissed that I that I I didn't that I have one of these and it was sitting in the the
[01:44:23] garage the reason why I didn't think to bring it is it was in the garage because this nightmarish rock project in the backyard here I've been wearing that because our mosquitoes are just
[01:44:38] absolutely horrendous and I can kind of deal with getting bit on my arms and legs by mosquitoes but I what I can't stand is them biting me in the face and neck so I've been actually using
[01:44:51] mine and it works great and you don't even notice it after a couple of minutes but it might be weird 100 FPV Pilots all wearing these things who knows whatever I'm sure on Amazon you can just
[01:45:05] search for like mosquito protection head net there you go so couple of bucks if you're going to go I would I would recommend snagging one of these you'll only look a little bit dumb
[01:45:30] but it'll be worth it I promise look at all these Happy People it'll be fine you get a green one a camo one get an eight pack get them for you and your friends there it is 16 bucks
[01:45:46] for an eight pack come on be a pal you would you'll be the most popular person at CastleCraft if you buy a couple of these eight packs and then whenever somebody doesn't have
[01:45:58] one you give them to them there there's there's there's the top Tip Top castle crash tip buy an eight pack and then hand them out there you go again sorry for the the sort of low
[01:46:22] energy live stream my brain is a piece of [@$#%] sometimes but mental illness doesn't doesn't prevent you from having to go to work and that's
[01:46:43] okay just Mo just Mo says how do you feel about the new RunCam thumb also has anyone in the chat used the Speedy B analog module feeling like Thanos collecting all video systems I've heard good things
[01:46:56] about the Speedy B analog module I haven't heard a damn thing about the RunCam thumb two but if it's better than the RunCam thumb one which it probably is then it's probably a great deal I
[01:47:10] I didn't see what it was selling for but I'm assuming it's either $50 or $100 it's super cheap like the runam thumb one and so it's probably really good but I haven't heard a single or
[01:47:20] seen a single thing about it just Mo says also how much trouble can I get into if I gorilla whoop in a dead Mall probably none as long as you're respectful you can pretty much fly
[01:47:33] anywhere and not get in much trouble especially a tiny whoop like flying a tiny whoop around I no a you're not going to get caught because nobody's going to hear it or care because it's a
[01:47:44] silly little toy but B even if you do get caught like if a cop rolls up on you and you're flying a tiny whoop they're just going to be like go away right it's like whereas if they roll up
[01:47:57] on you and you're flying like a 5-in rig it might be a different conversation it probably won't though as long as you're respectful and you're just kind of play dumb like oh I
[01:48:09] didn't know it was trespassing I I didn't see any signs I looked for signs right you say stuff I I wasn't I didn't want to bother anybody I apologize I'll leave right away right
[01:48:20] like when when people get into trouble it's when cops roll up and they act like [@$#%] usually right like not out of the real possibilities that you get one of the cops that's a
[01:48:33] douche and they make it their job to Power Trip as they tend to but chances are you'll be okay especially flying a tiny wo parkour guy says I have a
[01:48:53] black circle in my cam feed now from the drop of glue unfortunately it was a day old camera and I think I just tried to screw it in too tight I mean look sometimes you got to learn [@$#%] the
[01:49:04] hard way that's a those are the lessons that you'll never forget so if you didn't make that mistake now you would have maybe made it a year from now you got that mistake out of the way now you
[01:49:15] can make another a different mistake next time you'll you'll never use superglue on a camera again and you'll never you'll probably never overtighten one of those camera screws
[01:49:27] so it's a probably $ 25ish lesson hopefully it's an analog camera not a digital camera because they're more expensive CMYK saysoff axis says that's too funny Bob Gratton says
[01:49:42] I've got a whoop fly 16 elrs with WalkSnail and I've burned the AIO flight controller what would be a good replacement I would get the same one since it's a BNF all of
[01:49:55] the wire runs and everything are set up exactly for that and I don't think that that AIO is is a bad AO per se so I if it's relatively new I would get in touch with whoever you bought it
[01:50:09] from and say this aiio burned up can you send me a replacement I'm willing to install it sounds like you're willing to install it and then the other nice thing is you can just do a
[01:50:22] a backup from the old flight controller as long as you can still plug into USB in theory and just pull all that stuff off of it and just drop it onto the exact replacement one you would
[01:50:36] not want to do that necessarily with a different AO because there could be specific things to that original one so easiest bet is to replace it with the same with the same aiio and
[01:50:49] maybe you can even get one for a discount or for for free if it's relatively new and you're nice to whoever you bought it from In fairness if if you're 20 30 batteries
[01:51:03] deep or more they have all the right in the world to say no and you cannot get pissed off at them about that they have no idea how hard you beat on it or what kind of insanity you did with a
[01:51:15] soldering iron to it so they are well within their rights to say f off but most manufacturers won't if they see that you got it pretty recently right if it's 6 months old you're you're on your
[01:51:29] own danilla says what was the dive of death got footage did I miss it might have been pooping I did not get any footage from it because they were flying so I didn't also want to be
[01:51:45] flying but the dive of death looks like this so they tie a balloon they tie a balloon to a camera here we go it's also called balloon POA tent so here's Adam C doing it so
[01:52:08] sorry so they tie a balloon up here and then you have to punch out up above above the canopy of the trees and then drop down and try to hit the balloon and pop the balloon and then
[01:52:22] really you're trying not to hit the ground but it's just so difficult to even hit the balloon to also then not hit the ground is damn near impossible but that's what it is you you
[01:52:33] fly around in a circle three times and then you do a throttle punch high enough to get above the Treetops and then you try to drop down and hit the hit the balloon and all on the
[01:52:47] out the reason why I say it's insane and sketchy is on the outside here like they there some there there was some netting and there are some wooden supports but then all the spectators are around the
[01:52:58] outside and so you're coming CRA you're like slamming down at a million miles an hour trying to hit the balloon not hit the ground and it's there's just a lot going on and so it's it's
[01:53:12] crazy it's pretty wild something you got to you got to see it to believe it see got that Kevin Sumer says preliminary results of the F survey say that the gats the number one issue so
[01:53:29] you're not alone parkour guy says is there camping for free or cheap I want to go but getting there is already pricey so jump over to the to the castle crash website and all the details are
[01:53:44] there all the prices all the good stuff it's Castle crash.org I'm dropping it into the chat for you all the info is there all the prices all the good stuff this is still like this year's info
[01:53:57] right like they don't have the dates for next year picked out or anything but you can take a look at all the different sponsors all the the special guests that were
[01:54:07] there there you go friends there's even a whole bunch of the the volunteers listed out here like Bob noxious on this page there's Kevin SAR he's the head technomancer
[01:54:22] bones at castle crash special guest travel here's the address and whatnot flying at castle crash some of the rules some of the requirements event schedule so you
[01:54:35] can get an idea of like the different things that that go on there's these cool side quests that you could do for to win raffle tickets and then they had tons of prizes that they
[01:54:48] that they did Raffles for which was super fun just like a really really really well put together event that is super fun there's the there's the
[01:55:04] survey make sure you get to it at some point well well well worth it hang on a second Kevin Su says head Nets are already on the ideas list nice danzo says don't apologize
[01:55:26] for low energy you can't always be on you're just a human thank you dude it my job though and I i' I've always prided myself on doing a good job at my job and it bothers me
[01:55:42] when things that I can't control get in my way of that but parkour guy says thank God analog Cam and I learned before I did it to an HD cam how tight should I make it got a good trick
[01:56:00] my my with with with small stuff like with m1.5 and to some extent M2 well it increases as you go up right with with m1.5 stuff or smaller down into like
[01:56:19] m1.2 if if I'm starting to like like regardless of what screw first of all these weha drivers are narrow enough here where you can't overtighten stuff in in a lot of cases just because
[01:56:36] it's not like a big beefy handle like you get on the myip drivers that you can [@$#%] grab like this and really rail on right so just just having a set of drivers
[01:56:49] that are really narrow like this is going to help a ton I love these weha drivers they're a great shape they've got this little rotating cap on the back that goes in your palm and then you use
[01:56:59] your your middle and thumb to kind of spin it and it's just it's fast and it's and they're they're really well made and I think there's even a link down in the description to a weha
[01:57:12] driver set so having these drivers or another driver that's like this thin and a and a plastic not like a rubber that you can get a ton of grip on right like that's a huge First Step and then the
[01:57:27] smaller it is the the less like angry I just get with it like if I find myself grabbing like this to get more of a grip that's a surfire like hold on a second think about this moment that that I'll
[01:57:42] kind of have right like if if I'm using this driver with my fingertips like this there's no way in hell I'm going to overtighten something regardless if it's m 1.25 or m1.5 it's not until you start
[01:57:52] to do [@$#%] like this that you can so that that's kind of the that would be the the two-pronged approach I guess get skinny drivers that are plastic not rubberized and just and it and
[01:58:05] it ramps up like you get to M2 and now you can start to like like on an M2 on something that's M2 I can probably get a weha driver like this and I'm still fine M m2.5 now you can take a m like like the
[01:58:22] socket headed stuff now you can start doing that with a MIP driver cuz cuz like the M3 stuff m2.5 sorry not m2.5 2.5 millimeter which is M3 that stuff is really strong
[01:58:35] so that stuff you can start to gorilla dick like this with a driver that's got a wider handle with a bunch of grip to it but as it shrinks down just be more and more gentle
[01:58:52] Rat RH says what is a good size motor for a 35 mm brushless 802 is going to be the smallest that you want to go but really what you want to do is spend $10 and get rid of that frame and those
[01:59:12] propellers and get that onto a regular 65mm frame that takes 30 mm31 mm props 1.2 in props you will get so much of a performance increase by doing that it will offset the $40 plus dollars
[01:59:28] you're going to spend on a new set of Motors to try to get that 35mm prop rig running the problem is the propellers the the 35 millim propellers that exist are not good the the 1.2 in
[01:59:44] propellers for six regular 65mm builds we have three props that are unbelievably good the geman 1210 byblade the geman 129s tri blades and the HQ ultr light Tri blades and all you
[01:59:59] need is a different frame get a cockroach V3 or a cockroach light AF those are the the two of my favorites and two of the best in my opinion and then whatever Motors you have now will
[02:00:11] work but at that point you're opening yourself up to 0702 Motors which really perform well and those are the tiny whoops that are super accurate get great runtime and
[02:00:26] will allow you to do more stuff like literally you will be able to do more freestyle moves with that setup than a 35mm build because of the weight because the the motors are more dialed
[02:00:42] into the propellers because the propellers are way better because the all up weight is going to go drastically down there's a whole bunch of different reasons there so that's really what
[02:00:51] you'll what you want to do and it's not going to cost you even if you do that and you get a set of 72s you're still only going to spend like an extra 10 bucks cuz all you have to do is buy a
[02:01:04] different frame and different propellers so that's really what you want to do I have tried on three separate occasions over the last three or four years to make one of those 35mm
[02:01:17] propped rigs setups work and every single time time I it's just not as good there's nothing that it's better at than the 65mm setups because we don't have propellers that are good enough if
[02:01:31] somebody made an ultra light set of propellers in 35 mm that might change the story but until that happens it's no the other problem is that that frame is older and the newer frames are a lot
[02:01:46] lighter and a lot stronger too so the the the frame itself for those 35mm props is just kind of not as good also there's a lot of aios that won't work in that frame so you're super limited to
[02:01:57] which aios you run you have to run the cross style aios because that frame is moves the the duct in so my my main piece of advice is to get away from that it won't cost you much money and the the
[02:02:11] the flight performance will go through the roof just Mo says I work in the M he field I teach my clients to help regulate anxiety or frustration it's called the diving mechanism it helps
[02:02:21] regulate heart rate and breathing to help manage manage anxiety I have heard of that at some point I think I've worked on that with I had a therapist that was really heavy on
[02:02:35] cognitive behavioral therapy and I believe that's where I tried that and from what I remember it's not for me but there it's managing mental health is about trying a lot of different things and and
[02:02:50] eventually you'll find something that works and or someone that can help you out I'm on I believe I'm on talk therapist number seven in my life I've been going for over 20 years now
[02:03:05] that's just the reality that some people have to live with Ry bre says I got my son up in the air a week ago or so meet 75 with the trainer pocket boxer trainer and angle on the same switch so
[02:03:19] I could catch him if he needed but he did well very very cool how old is he Ry bread Kevin summer says we're for sure adding more better netting and something overhead next year nice
[02:03:29] that will make it significantly less sketchy parkour guy says that di of death looks perfect for 40,000 KB Motors so you have to pop the balloon so doing it with a tiny whoop won't really
[02:03:41] get the job done and I think it's sort of just like an Unwritten it might even be a written rule that you you you have to have like I know there were people doing it with micros but I I think it
[02:03:49] has to be like 3 in or bigger maybe if it's not a written rule it's sort of an Unwritten rule but something with prop guards wouldn't break the balloon anyway so and you have to break
[02:03:59] the balloon you can't just hit's CMYK says oh dude the event map was looking good it was indeed look what look what cmk didwhere the hell is it hold on [@$#%] I I snagged an extra event map so that I
[02:04:46] could send it to cmk apparently I took him out of the car and it's still a little bit of a mess around here and I don't know where they are but I I know that they made it
[02:04:58] home oh there they are they're like 3 feet away from me great total fail CMYK designed this and it's awesome little map a little key no fly zones and then
[02:05:16] these are the side quests here in the middle and then here are the different events here very very cool stuff I've got your I've got some stuff that I'm already mailing to you see I'm K so I'm
[02:05:30] going to throw this in with them this is is this the fresh one that I got I got stuff on one of them no no no this is the fresh one that I got for you
[02:05:42] man I will send this over to you great job this this is like perfect and Bob had it printed on like old timey looking kind of paper so good job brother even
[02:05:58] people that couldn't go volunteered to help volunteered their their time and expertise to help such a cool Community man me kale I haven't seen you in a while man how have you been he says I've
[02:06:10] been learning about gyro filter tuning and dynamic dampening and tuning with the sliders trying to tune 5 in wash out from split s Maneuvers any tips around this subject
[02:06:20] the main tip is going to be that Dain is what's going to do the bulk of the work so don't go completely nuts trying to remove absolutely as much filtering as possible because that will allow that
[02:06:37] will not allow you to run as much degain as you would with a little bit more filtering so that's the main tip don't go bananas trying to like really reduce every SPL like fraction of a millisecond
[02:06:53] in your filters tab get the filters a little bit aggressive and then focus on your on pushing the Dain up probably what you're going to want to do is have a ratio like this of Dain versus pni
[02:07:08] for me what I like is to have the Dain slider3 above the p and I slider that's a little bit aggressive 2 is a little bit more normal but you want want to have that Dain slider up a
[02:07:22] little bit and then you want to push these two sliders as far as you can as far as the filters will sort of allow you so push push the filters a little bit and then focus on the d-gain
[02:07:35] and get that as high as you can back it off a little bit and then you might be able to push the filters a little bit harder but it's Dain is is going to do the bulk of the work that you're
[02:07:45] looking for there even especially if you've got a motor and prop combo that aren't like up to the job and so and that's going to be the other thing which is that to make
[02:08:01] sure that you look at your Motors and your props to make sure that the props are light enough for the motor to give you a good enough response time right like pushing the the pain sliders up
[02:08:13] artificially improves the response time not artificially digitally improves the response time the majority of the response time is coming from the motor how much power it
[02:08:28] makes how heavy the Bell is and the propeller how much power that makes and how heavy that is and so you can do a lot of pit tuning by using lighter weight propellers or more like taller
[02:08:44] more powerful motors with the magnets pulled in you got to balance that with the motors overheating and stuff but there's a couple things to get you going Morton upshot says why
[02:08:54] not replace 35 mm props with 30 mm props and not replace the frame because a replacement frame is like five bucks and that meteor 65 Pro frame is needlessly heavy and really reduces the number of
[02:09:08] aios that you can possibly run but the main thing is that it's needlessly heavy you're dragging around a bunch of extra weight for no reason and that's nowadays we've learned that
[02:09:18] weight is a massive arguably the most important thing to reduce on Tiny whoops tiny shark FPV says what's your favorite drone build so far out of all the drones you've built ah there's
[02:09:32] there's no way I can do that they they're most of them are tools for a specific job my favorite job is chasing I mean so far it's been cyclists but I'm just going to say
[02:09:52] athletes and the rigs that I chase athletes with the most are the the live flying box frame rigs which is kind of funny because like those builds are not like super interesting builds but
[02:10:05] like I do something with those builds that's really really really fun I also love the C spores because I get to fly those around typically musicians sometimes and that is incredibly fun
[02:10:18] as well they've all got things that are that are they've all got strengths and weaknesses but they're tools and they're tools for specific jobs there's not one like build that has gone
[02:10:34] together that like I mean maybe like I guess the closest thing would maybe be the the the Mobula 6 2024 version one light AF build because it was just so lightweight still
[02:10:46] is so lightweight but I guess that would be like the closest one to it most builds like I know exactly what it's going to be like and there's really not many surprises and that's a good
[02:10:58] thing but there's there's never been a build that like absolutely kind of blew me away it they're always makes sense the all up weight the prop size the the voltage
[02:11:12] the motor sizing stuff demo FP says how long do we have to wait to get 65mm whoops with motor plugs or should I buy one with soldered Motors now you can get a Mobula 6
[02:11:27] 2024 from a couple of different spots today which have motor plugs or you can get a 2g4 AO which has motor plugs from race day quads py drone we bed FPV so loads of 65
[02:11:43] millimeter whoop options with motor plugs if you if you don't want to if you want to buy a binding f fly that that flies great that you don't have to worry about upgrading the BetaFPV
[02:11:57] air 65 has direct soldered Motors but it's great right out of the box and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that rig but it's not as good of a candidate for up for upgrading as the
[02:12:08] Mobula 6 2024 is in my opinion and all of the Mobula 6 202 24s that I've seen for sale now are the version two which have motor plugs so you should be good Kevin sum says your FV
[02:12:21] gear is all piled in a GI giant Heap still like mine No I I spent a ton of time last night and yesterday getting it getting it out of here it's initially it was all right here but I got
[02:12:37] most of it organized and then I I I leave rigs here on the top of the couch that I want to fly I have a whole bunch of batteries that are still charged up so I'm going to put those guys in the
[02:12:46] air one of these days to discharge those batteries down but I'm in pretty good shape shape I'm pretty well cleaned up couple giveaways over there couple things that I'm
[02:12:57] waiting to kind of work on this is the on Deck Circle which is always a little bit of a mess but the the two bins I had two big clear you can't really see it but I
[02:13:09] had two big ass clear bins with most of my stuff and I got them emptied out pretty quick see K says thanks Bob said has some rad paper glad it all came out man it looks awesome thank you
[02:13:26] parkour guy says what classifies aggressive filters I've only mess with pits so first and foremost the stock filters are pretty damn good like leaving both filter sliders on 1.0 is
[02:13:42] not not a bad thing like it used to be typically what I do is I grab the gyro filter it depends on the gyro but if it's not a BMI 270 and you can technically even do this on a BMI
[02:13:54] 270 I take the gyro filter I move it all the way up all the way up to 2.0 because the gyro filtering doesn't do much and then I'll take the Dain filter and I'll usually just right away
[02:14:07] move it up to 1.2 and then that is like that's not really aggressive but that's like that's starting to push the filters at that point I'll go into the pids tab and
[02:14:21] really focus on the D gain and the P Andi gain and then if I can get the D gain and the P Andi gain to a point where the motors aren't getting hot and it's not flying away but all the prop wash is
[02:14:36] gone I will then come back and push the sliders even farther if I can't if I can't get all of the prop wash out with the p and d gain the tune is done I leave I I leave the D and the P Andi
[02:14:50] sliders as as aggressive as I can get them before the motor start to get hot or it starts to fly away or do that weird like double throttle thing right when you blip the throttle it goes like
[02:15:00] that means you're at the limit if there's still prop wash like that's it I I might screw around with adding a little bit more filtering to see if I can then add more Dain in but
[02:15:14] usually it's pretty close to being perfect at that point and just focus on flying it that is a pretty simplistic way to tune the filters with blackbox you can absolutely dive
[02:15:30] deeper and get a better filtering setup but of the T usually you only really have to dive in that deep if if like there's a mechanical issue with the rig or if like the motors are kind of too
[02:15:46] small for what you're looking to do or like like lifters are kind of a pain in the ass the tune but I don't think anybody in here is building the lifter so that that setup is is pretty
[02:15:57] damn good that'll get you pretty close to being like 90% perfect Mikel says awesome Insight back to emac eco2s 2306 1900 KV and GemFan vny style props 5136 I've heard those props are
[02:16:15] really good davs says have you flown a Pavo 25 I have not I'm putting DJI 03 in it now I didn't like the analog and I didn't want to haul an action cam I have not I've heard good things about
[02:16:29] the Pavo 25 though I think it's and I've seen a bunch of working Pilots that use the the Pavo 20 and the 25 so I know it's if it's good enough for them it's pretty good parkour guy says
[02:16:42] thoughts on Chris roster's 200 mph drone frame would you ever build one super cool I absolutely love that he's doing that I wouldn't think that I would ever build one I I don't fly in
[02:16:58] big Open Spaces if I had a big open space that I flew at a lot though godamn right I would that'd be hysterically fun so I love that it exists what I would I would only go
[02:17:13] down that I would only go down that path if there was like a motorsport event that was looking for that had like grip based cars that we're going to g get up
[02:17:33] into triple digits I would love that I would love to be forced to build one of those but that that would have to be a gig with like multiple days of filming day rate every day to justify
[02:17:49] the cost and the time of that build and there's pretty few and far between but you never know you never know it's amazing that it exists so that tomorrow if I get an email saying
[02:18:03] hey we've got a GTC race at Atlanta Motorsports Park that we need coverage for what is your rate look like it would be so amazing for me to send them an invoice
[02:18:19] with the price of that rig in it and say it's this and my day rate ready when you are that was that was the exact thing that happened with the cycle race the the cycling racing
[02:18:34] they contacted me I did not have any builds that were suitable for it and I just got started up a conversation with them and explained the whole explained my background the
[02:18:46] focus on safety here's how we do it safely this is the exact rig that would need to be this is what it'll cost and they covered it they covered the the cost of
[02:18:56] building one of those and all the other stuff on top of day rate and tiny shark FPV with the last comment of live streaming says my 2S WalkSnail with 1021
[02:19:09] 19,800 current at are currently at 8 to .9 Master multiplier is that fine as long as it doesn't prop wash or you all wash out or have any other bad flight performance issues for sure
[02:19:24] it's very tempting to think that if you have to move the sliders down it's bad that's not true at all like where the sliders are does not matter the flight performance is what matters if
[02:19:39] the flight performance is good but you had to turn the sliders all the way down to 0.1 who cares that just means that you've got a rig that has a crazy response time and having to dull
[02:19:52] that would be this way you're having to dull the digital response time of the pit controller that's completely fine it's all about what it does in the air if it feels good in the air if
[02:20:02] it eats prop wash up I I know what you're I know what you're feeling though tiny shark it feels like a failure to have to move those sliders down below 1.0 but there are situations where you
[02:20:15] have to do that and it's actually means that your mechanical system is like dialed it's a little bit too dialed to be totally honest but that's okay thanks for hanging friends seatt fv.com
[02:20:26] if you like this kind of stuff I want to see it continue I do need your support hook me up with a patreon if you're not check something out on Etsy work one-on-one with me if you want to learn
[02:20:37] a lot have even more fun I'm here for it my friends I'll see you on Friday at 7 o'clock I played all that flight footage what am I going to play what am I going to play you guys out
[02:20:56] on I'll just pick something at random here's a random one for you I don't even know if it's me flying it is me flying I'm flying badly though I can tell already n that one's
[02:21:17] all there's a ton of interference hold on there's a whole bunch of interference here as well come on come on come on come on that one's only 15 seconds that one's only 6 seconds that one's only 5 Seconds
[02:21:30] 4 seconds great 11 seconds now we're going in the right direction here we go love you guys bye n a
