[00:13:16]   rewinds um 36,000 HappyModel KV rewinds he measured the voltage in a similar method to the way that HappyModel measures KV so 36,000 KV is the equivalent to like everybody

[00:13:38]   else's 30,000 KV or so is is my rough estimation basically HappyModel measures HappyModel and Cloud Hopper measured KV at a lower voltage which as we've

[00:13:57]   learned isn't actually as high of a doesn't produce as high of an RPM is what I have to say here as if you measure KV at a higher voltage like BetaFPV newbie drone

[00:14:12]    VCI RC and power do so keep that in mind it's one of the reasons why we've always been like oh my God HappyModel Motors are so incredibly efficient it's because when we would compare a

[00:14:31]   30,000 KV HappyModel SL tiny whoop Weeble motor to anybody else's 30,000 KV motor there was an actual difference in in RPM and power output boy it took us a long time to figure that

[00:14:48]   out it was not immediately obvious I still do maintain that the HappyModel Motors make are more efficient like I've had scenarios where I have two builds one on a HappyModel motor one on somebody

[00:15:06]   else's motor the KVs are drastically different but they make the same amount of power they feel the same in the air they turn the same RPM and the HappyModel motors have better runtime so I

[00:15:19]   still think that the HappyModel Motors are the way to go because you'll get more runtime at a certain amount of power there are also HappyModel Motors available in

[00:15:31]   much higher KVs so if you want tons of power we bed's got 0702 40,000 KV motors which make almost the same amount of power as the RC and power 0702

[00:15:46]   29,000 they actually make more RPM than them but they don't make quite as much power but they have much better run time those RC and power 0702 29000 have pretty brutal runtime they're

[00:16:00]   they're incredible Motors and they make tons of grunt and so they accelerate extremely quickly they don't have as much topend RPM as the HappyModel 4000s so their top speed is not as High

[00:16:17]    unless you put them on a really pitchy propeller but then you get this like incredible acceleration which is it's really fun I I've really enjoyed so they're what's on they're what's on this

[00:16:33]   rig and I have paired them with the really pitchy GemFan props the 1219 s's I think to get even more top speed out of them I could put them with all these old school propellers that are

[00:16:47]   even more even more pitchy but those old school propellers are really heavy so the advantage that these motors have with that extra grunt would get eaten up by those even more pitchy

[00:17:00]   propellers being a little bit too heavy and then and the grunt is the reason to get these RC and power 0702 29,000 and so I've had an absolute blast flying this rig back to back with

[00:17:15]   this one which has the HappyModel 702 40,000 on a less pitchy propeller a 1210 propeller so it's been really eye openening having a rig with maximum acceleration versus maximum top speed

[00:17:34]    and that's been super fun and I I've flown these backtack a bunch on previous live streams we are going to do six batteries tonight if that's what you guys want to see me fly a little

[00:17:44]   later on after the giveaways that's what I'm certainly willing to do since we're talking about it it might make sense if there's something else you guys want me to fly that's fine too

[00:19:20]   back today I guess you stock camera wires aren't long enough for an airstyle canopy eh oh God I can kind of see that they went really short on these camera wires well that's going to make me

[00:19:40]   finding a different canopy for this thing kind of challenging I'll probably try a MC stinky canopy on here because the the MC stinky pushes the camera forward and it keeps

[00:19:54]   it nice and low and it looks like the it looks like the camera plug is dead center on this thing and it also looks like the UFL plug is dead center so that'll work for the minky one of my

[00:20:10]   my main complaint about the minky mount which is available on thingiverse is that on like on the 2g4 on the HappyModel 2g4 AO for example right if this is the aiio the UFL plug is offset

[00:20:25]   a little bit and the UFL is pretty tall so the MC stinky Mount will sit like this and your camera will sit slightly sideways which is terrible it's really really really hard to fly

[00:20:38]   accurately when your camera is not dead level so this seems like a perfect candidate for the mix stiny Mount there's also a mix stinky Mount specifically for the Newbie drone bi

[00:20:51]   camera I think it's the big mix stinky don't quote me on that but it says it on thing of verse I'll actually look it up right now now and I'll put the link to the MC stiny into the chat for anybody

[00:21:03]   that's oh look at this the tiny be well if you want to be if you want to be ultra lightweight this will definitely be lighter than the MC stinky but it's not going to protect the camera nearly

[00:21:20]   as well but for ultimate lightweightness there you go I tends to gravitate towards durability over ultimate ultimate ultimate ultimate lightweight and there's the mix stinky and the MC stinky Mount is

[00:21:39]   seems to be the best mix of lightweight with good camera protection it's got a nice chunk of TPU up here above the camera to protect the lens the lens sits like back a little bit in there so the

[00:21:55]   lens is not just sticking out asking to be scratched and if you look at the back down here there is like just enough TPU under the camera and the mount itself just this

[00:22:11]   structure of the mount and the way that it's all tied together is strong enough to prevent the camera from flattening out and smashing against the AIO on those really hard inverted crashes so

[00:22:24]    the MC stinky is seems to be the lightest weight no compromise no durability compromise Mount and when I look here down in the summary it does say that the big MC stiny is for the larger cameras

[00:22:43]   like the cadx ant light or the new we drone bi so the big MC stinky is what you want there are so then you go in here you go into the files section right you click files here

[00:22:58]   and there's all different up tilts which is something that I really like about this Mount you can get it in 25 or 20 or 30 or 35 so down here is the big MC stinky so personally I I should have

[00:23:12]    a big MC stinky 20 that I can pop onto the race spec and maybe we'll fly that tonight it's up to you guys you guys can pick what what we flop around I'll be interested to see what it

[00:23:27]   weighs after ch in the mount this this in my opinion brutal Mount that it comes with is I'm sure super super super lightweight so this will probably gain a little bit of weight going to the

[00:23:43]    going to the minky Mount so we'll see this might not be the lightest rig in the building anymore what does this thing weigh the race spec weighs

[00:24:01]   16.45 G this air 65 prototype that I've done all kinds of not all kinds of but I've done a few lightweight things too is 16.65% has this air banana hammock canopy

[00:24:33]   that I've been having a hell of a time keeping the cameras completely level so if I were to change this thing over to a different camera mount it might also gain a little bit of weight

[00:24:45]    I haven't really I haven't really weighed those air mounts though with all the screws and whatnot but I mean look regardless if you if you have a tiny whoop that's like 17 G or slightly less

[00:24:59]   than that it's just bananas it's that is so lightweight and worrying about a couple tenth of a gram when you're down that lightweight doesn't really make a lot of sense and if and if

[00:25:14]   you can gain 2 or three of a gram and have the camera nice and level and have a durable setup that is super worth it I mean I'll I'll Pi if I pick up a full gram to have the camera be level with

[00:25:30]   good durability I'm still happy with that 18 GRS 17 GS with with these power trains that we have now they fly great they fly fantastic do the 16 point something gam

[00:25:47]   rigs have a little bit more hang time sure I I I would love to have a completely durable 16 something gam bill but I just don't know man like the 2g4 is just so much more durable than

[00:26:07]   anything else the Cockroach V3 frame is more durable than the light AF or the air 65 or or the any of the ultra lightweight frames a proper camera mount is way more durable than these

[00:26:23]   silly banana hammock ones right and so it's becomes it becomes a game of like how durable is durable enough for you for how you fly for where you crash for how often you crash and for me it

[00:26:43]   certainly seems like 18 G is where I need to be for the amount of durability that I sort of want from these things but I'll continue trying different combinations of Parts because

[00:26:59]    like I said if I could have a sub 17 G tiny whoop dry that was nearly as durable as the Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop formula that we've figured out over the last few

[00:27:12]   years that would be insane so there's that Striker also says learn the hard way to not mess with a BNF just BNF I didn't want to fly it with the stock 40° camera angle LOL

[00:27:29]   um alternatively I mean you're not wrong but alternatively the other part of the lesson is if you don't have a set of nerd goggles to get a set of nerd goggles and to do all of your tiny whoop

[00:27:44]   soldering with these you like I don't care how good your vision is this is an absolute GameChanger you should also have a 5x Loop for sure if not like a 10x Loop

[00:27:58]   and you should always be inspecting your work very closely with with magnification before you put Power to everything to anything usually you will catch Rogue solder solder balls and

[00:28:12]   solder blobs and all kinds of weird with enough magnification and so that's the other part of the lesson Bren Anderson says tiny whoop whoop cheers y FPV

[00:28:28]   technique says good evening Striker says I do want to figure out what's going on with it though when plugged in the BetaFlight it works can spin up the motors when I plug in a battery by

[00:28:39]   itself nothing happens though and it just stays off so what has happened there is that you have blown up the either 5vt or 3.3 volt uh regulator on there so when you

[00:28:53]   plug the battery in the battery wires go pretty much directly to a voltage regulator and that voltage regulator has fried so the battery voltage goes up to that voltage regulator and that's it

[00:29:07]   it doesn't then the voltage regulator then spreads that voltage out through the board USB carries 5vt so when you plug USB in the computer is sending 5vt up to the quad and then that 5vt is

[00:29:22]   going through the USB and spreading out to the to all the components in there and so if you put a battery on it's will the the fets and the ESC gets full Voltage so you could technically well no

[00:29:39]   you couldn't because BetaFlight disables it but if you figured out a way to trick BetaFlight into not knowing that it was plugged in here's what you could do you can't do

[00:29:49]   that BetaFlight doesn't allow it to arm when it's plugged in to BetaFlight what you could do though is is put an external 5volt regulator into it and then wire that into a set of 5volt

[00:30:05]   pads or if there's not a set of 5volt pads there are there is a set of 5volt pads on here so you could put an external 5volt regulator send that into these 5volt pads and it would actually

[00:30:20]   work you wouldn't have any voltage in your OSD though the the the OSD voltage pulls from the 5 volt regulator in this thing so it's super annoying I've done that on regular 20 X20 flight

[00:30:34]   controllers on 3-in rigs before and you fly it a few times and then you're like wow I really rely on voltage in the OSD because you don't know when your battery's dead and you end up

[00:30:46]   ruining batteries and then you've any money that you've saved is gone so that is almost certainly what has occurred there that is that is a thing that happens with flight controllers

[00:30:59]   is that when The 5vt Regulators die in them it's super confusing because when you're sending them full Voltage they don't work at all but then you plug it into USB and it works totally fine

[00:31:10]   and it's because it's getting 5 volt from the USB and spreading that out to all the internal components danzil the turble says some good Loft in that hair I just

[00:31:20]   got out of the shower so it's all floofy it doesn't have a ton of hand grease in it that's one of the reasons I do this all the time is to get the under control and put I don't put like I don't

[00:31:32]   put wax or or Pomade or anything in my hair I just use my good old hand grease go-kart Mozart's in the house he says what's up everybody how do you see how

[00:32:21]   man the only saving grace the only only only saving grace is that the the most awesome way to wire up the BT 3.0 in the in the in the 2S setups where are all the 2S setups what

[00:32:47]   is what has happened here the 2S 75mm rigs have vanished on me where'd they go I've been moving stuff around and so it's not oh they're right here that's right I forgot they they fit on these

[00:33:10]   they fit on these cool little stands the only saving grace with how stupidly short the BT 3.0 wires are is that you don't need the wires to be very long for this amazing little setup

[00:33:26]   which also prevents the battery from ejecting out the front of the mobile 7v3 frame so running the wires out the bottom like we typically do the wire length is like just

[00:33:43]   barely enough but still not quite enough absolutely maddening that BetaFPV made that made those so short because they made him so short that like it just sucks to have to extend

[00:34:04]   wires it's just unreasonable there is just absolutely no reason it would cost them one 1,000th of a penny to make all of their BT 3.0 leads a half an inch longer and then it wouldn't be an issue

[00:34:19]   and you you could put them on toothpicks you could put them on anything but instead they made them excruciatingly short o that is frustrating as hell scrolling back up to try to find my

[00:35:01]   than the frame motors and props could you do a stream or something on how to repair tiny whoop including the soldering and stuff that's a big ask but please I've done that I there is tons

[00:37:15]   leads you you just will have to solder battery leads on and there's actually a chance that the replacement flight controller will come with a battery lead pre-installed so you might not need to

[00:37:24]   solder anything oh you you're going to need to solder the the motors up but I mean that's easy you're just unsoldering you're just desoldering and resoldering you can just look up a soldering

[00:37:35]   tutorial on that or watch me I've I've soldered a million things over the last three and a half years that I've been live streaming so lots of good content already up for it you don't

[00:37:45]   have to wait for me to uh figure out a new build to do from scratch because I I just I don't have it I I I don't have any parts that are waiting to get like put together per se

[00:56:49]   inside of the propeller hole and let it dry it'll create like a texture in there you don't want to super glue the props on because then they're really hard to get off and when you pull them off

[00:57:01]   they'll there's a chance that they'll ruin the motor so that's the trick with Superglue I don't do that I did that trick for many many years and it works totally fine the only problem with

[00:57:13]   it is you put that propeller on it's great you pull it off it REM a little bit of the super glue comes out you put it back on it pushes a little bit of the super glue out you take it back off and

[00:57:22]   it gets looser every time so each time that propeller comes on and off eventually you have to redo the the superglue trick my current favorite trick that works a lot

[00:57:33]   better is you take your sharp tipped tweezers that you hate because you're going to ruin the the sharp tips on them by doing this so get a cheap pair of really sharp like ouch ouch ouch ouch

[00:57:47]   ouch sharp tipped tweezers and again if if this is the inside of the propeller you're going to put these sharp tipped tweezers into the prop on both sides at an angle and you're going to scrape it

[00:58:00]   around you're going to push pretty hard it feels sketchy because if it pops out of there you're going to stab yourself hard and draw blood but just keep pressure on it it'll stay in there and

[00:58:10]   you're going to scrape around 360° what you're doing is there's the smooth plastic and you're scraping and you're digging into it so you're going to dig in and on left on either side of

[00:58:24]   that dig it's going to rate just like what my fingers are doing here so you're making the situation worse in the middle but you're making the situation better on the outsides of it right that plastic

[00:58:34]   has to go somewhere so you're digging a little Valley and on the left and right sides of the valley the the plastic raises up and then that grabs on the onto the motor shaft a lot better so you

[00:58:46]   take the the bottom of the propeller you scrape it around you flip the propeller around you do it on the top and now you'll see that propeller will fit a lot better

[00:58:56]   and you'll get a lot more remove and put that prop back on Cycles than with the super glue trick but definitely don't put super glue inside the propeller and then put it onto the motor shaft while

[01:19:10]   gigs that I get are very very geared towards a cinematic flight style where the footage that I'm providing is going to get mixed in with steady cam with static cameras that have have zero in

[01:19:25]   some cases zero movement so for an Editor to try to cut in FPV Flight footage at like 50 60 miles an hour sliding all over the place with a static camera or even a steady cam is extremely

[01:19:41]   difficult so I've had much better luck providing slower more steady more cinematic kind of footage that actually gets used and then actually gets me another gig with that producer

[01:19:55]   editor director whatever it may be but again everybody's different if if I get a call from someone that's looking for 50 60 M hour footage you you you provide the people

[01:20:08]   hiring you with what they're looking for uh but that that has been one of the main limitations to FPV footage in the last three and a half to four years that I've been flying professionally is that

[01:20:27]   it is very hard to smoothly edit's in with static footage and I've had a number of really good paying gigs with big name artists that they didn't use any of my footage because it just

[01:20:43]   didn't the editor just couldn't figure out how to how to work it in like it FPV has gone through a really interesting growth where like 3 years years ago it was the cool thing and so everybody

[01:20:57]   was just getting it and they were just cramming it into these edits and it was and it was like flavor of the month it was super cool and it was like if you didn't have FPV footage in your in in

[01:21:07]   your music video and your whatever you were whatever you weren't I don't know it has progressed from that to now being a tool that is either properly used and prop ly

[01:21:24]   integrated or not used and just jamming it into like every single place where it doesn't really belong it people like got sick of it really quick and so I've gotten to see that I I I
