[00:01:00] heyyyy hey oh Canon you are just my favorite thing in the whole wide world I love you Canon so much boy you treat me so well you definitely don't fail all the time
[00:01:58] Hello friends my name is Aon Ciotti and I'm freezing cold it is cold in this basement good Lord welcome to gear failure Friday it finally happened in almost four years of flying gigs
[00:02:19] anywhere between one and four or five or six gigs a month most months I finally had a gear failure a full-blown gear failure and there's a picture of it in the
[00:02:37] description and you can see what it is in the description I think somebody already called it out in the chat but if you haven't read whoever called it out in the chat type what you think it
[00:02:45] was and it happened right after that that battery that you guys just saw actually in the chat gonan was first Curtis Hayes Northern Tier FPV toast borked bits HP hypnos what's up brother
[00:03:03] Frank Nicholas Douglas 6 raay FPV crom Tony Morgan Anonymous Ray Pito chonan again cxb FPV Islander FPV Daniel 1964 poly shortcuts Chuck p Weber FPV Louie Lambo Drive zambo I haven't seen
[00:03:21] you in a while either brother how you been gr3 space Band spiff ch3 what's up everybody thanks for coming so I'll I'll just the whole like type what you think it
[00:03:40] is leave a comment with what you think the the answer to the question is that's silly the power lead broke off deep down the wire deep in inside the the insulation of the
[00:04:02] wire luckily it broke off in between batteries when I was swapping from one to the next but it's interesting because it's it's all the way inside the inside the insulation which you can't
[00:04:20] you can't really see this is why it's important to get onto a joint and off of a joint as quickly as possible the more time you spend with a wire heating the wire up the heat is going to travel
[00:04:35] down the wire and solder travels with the heat so the solder the the longer you're on a wire the farther down on the inside of that wire inside the insulation that that solder is going to
[00:04:49] travel this you can tell when this happens when you've got like a so if if you've got a wire hooked up to like a connector or a pad or something here this is the connector this is the pad if the wire
[00:05:04] is like rock hard for like a good section that's all solder you want to have as short of an area as possible be rock hard on the wire so that it's flexible there if you've got a
[00:05:18] wire that like has this big section that's rock hard and it'll it'll only Bend that's not great that that's a big old area of solder in there and what can happen is where it does
[00:05:33] Bend which is hidden inside the insulation that's where each individual strand is going to break as it as it gets pulled as it gets bent all that good stuff so interesting kind
[00:05:46] of failure we're going to take this xt30 apart xt60 apart and take a look at it and maybe get this thing fixed I don't know the the ESC pads are down kind of low I'm going to have to take
[00:06:01] some stuff apart and I don't have any gigs lined up for like tomorrow or anything so I don't I don't have to scramble and fix this but here's the other here's the important part about
[00:06:13] this right so this is a failed xt60 I could have probably on set pulled the top plate off plugged in the soldering iron stripped off some of this wire here to get down to the bare metal
[00:06:27] to get down to the inner strands I should say there 's a little bit of inner strand here that I could probably have quickly soldered it up to just to get this thing back up for the rest of
[00:06:38] the gig but two is one and one is none if you're going to do any kind of professional work and if you don't want to give FPV Pilots a bad name which you should not you never ever ever show up
[00:06:55] with just one of pretty much anything trans transits H it's hard to it's hard to drag two transmitters around right and transmitters are are super super super reliable
[00:07:08] goggles same kind of deal they're very reliable and they're pretty big so it's tough to bring two sets around but technically speaking you want to have two of absolutely everything the main
[00:07:21] wear item for us is the actual quad itself right and so showing up to a paying gig with only one quad is the dumbest thing you could ever do don't take a gig until you have a backup
[00:07:35] plan for me the where is it ah there he is for me the backup plan is analog so it's kind of works right because analog goggles my HD 3s are really small and there's a a
[00:07:52] nice a really nice pocket in my low proo bag that perfectly fits analog goggles it doesn't fit any other goggles and so that pocket in my bag is I mean if I'm not going to bring analog
[00:08:06] goggles with me I'll put some other stuff in there but when I go to gigs I will bring a digital cine whoop and an analog cop and this also gives me an excuse to bring
[00:08:19] two sets of goggles if the DJI goggles go down I can fire up the analog goggles and so I got to fly the ultra light analog cine whoop for the first time in a long time I I actually cannot remember
[00:08:32] the last time that I flew this this is pretty much identical other than it's significantly lighter this is like the lowspeed ultra lightweight setup it's got the cloud 149 ducts that are
[00:08:46] significantly taller than the uh Stan fpvhq ducts it's got Motors that are slightly lighter weight the digital rig has the FPV cycle 2104s that Bob had custom done for us basically in that
[00:09:07] higher KV this has regular old 204s these are actually axis Cinema 2004 what's the KV on these 3500 KV which I believe is the same as these FPV 2104s but since they're only 204s
[00:09:25] they're a little bit lighter they're team out and then analog is lighter than digital right and so this build I haven't weighed these in in forever let's see exactly how much
[00:09:37] lighter it is this build is also xt30 which is I used to run only xt30 batteries back in the days of the lighter weight hero 8 but then eventually for the heavier rig I moved up to xt60 so it's I I
[00:09:56] should actually get this off of the xt30 lead but I always have a simple little xt30 to xt60 adapter with me so it's really no big deal so this one here is 277 no battery no camera and then the
[00:10:14] digital build is so it's 305 but there's a couple screws missing so call it like 307 308 so there is a legitimate weight difference between these two Rigs and they do fly different they fly
[00:10:34] different probably because of the ducts more than the weight but it's interesting man I hadn't like I said I haven't flown this thing in a while and it was noticeably
[00:10:47] slower it was it was easier to fly doing what I was doing flying around in that garage basically in in this like multi- multi multi multi multi multi multi-million dollar home it was
[00:11:05] actually really nice the the lower latency from analog and the lightweight and the taller ducts made this kind of a blast to fly and I didn't need any kind of range so digital having
[00:11:19] better range meant absolutely nothing so I mean technically I probably should have been flying this from from the get- go this is probably like the better rig to be flying because of all those
[00:11:36] reasons when I got home I did something that I've been meaning to do for a while and I'm going to be doing this to both of these builds so E6000 when it dries it has like a nice
[00:11:55] kind of gummy texture to it on these sin explores if you look around pretty much everything is either plastic or TPU so if you think about this thing crashing it's not going to really do any
[00:12:11] significant damage right the battery is sitting on top that's nice and soft this is all TPU this plastic might leave like a scuff but that's about it but and then I've got foam pads on the bottom
[00:12:24] in case it's slaps down flat this is TPU here that's like a high point the the Crossfire antenna which at some point here will get replaced by dualband elrs but the ends of the
[00:12:37] arms have M2 screws on them and carbon fiber that that goes around the outside so this is like the one sort of spot that could maybe actually do any damage and I said I've been
[00:12:52] meaning to do this for a while but I kept forgetting E6000 just take E6000 and blob it on here the other thing that's nice about E6000 is when you pick at it's you just
[00:13:03] pull it off like in one big booger it doesn't break and get all over the place like liquid electric tape I will warn you that it the E6000 like runs all over the place it's kind of a
[00:13:14] pain in the ass to work with so put a little bit of it on there and then it's just kind of like hold it up in the direction that you want it to flow and then let it dry and then put a
[00:13:26] little bit more so I've done round one on this rig of the E6000 on these bolts and I can already tell that these are a lot sorry that this camera won't focus guys Logitech is
[00:13:39] the worst camera company of all time these are already way way way better and way friendlier God forbid I bump into something in the exact wrong kind of
[00:13:54] scenario that was just me being frustrated so I'm going to do another round of E6000 on this guy to beef this up a little bit so that there's like just a nice little cap of this stuff
[00:14:12] around those hard points and then other than that like if if you want to do this exercise just take it on your desk and just sit here and bang it down on the desk put the battery on it put
[00:14:24] the GoPro in it or you don't really need to put GoPro in it and just every single angle and when you hear it's safe like a nice soft hit but then when you hear this one I
[00:14:38] haven't done yet when you hear right that ain't good that that high pitch Snappy sound is potentially when flying around cars that is a dented panel and possibly chipped paint
[00:14:53] probably just a dented panel so it's in theory just a paintless dent repair which is usually not all that expensive but Food For Thought so I got to fly this guy which was pretty
[00:15:09] cool I it's flies very similar so when I was when I was outside the garage it was it was pretty windy and I definitely did notice that this was getting kicked around significantly
[00:15:20] Harder by the wind it's lighter and it's got the taller ducts on it so I was having to like really push into the wind to stay in position with this whereas the the rig with the the narrower ducts
[00:15:31] was not having nearly as hard of a time but other than that once I got inside this thing was absolutely fantastic so two is one and one is none my friends never ever ever have just one
[00:15:43] of something that you need to rely on that is a recipe for disaster make sense the rest of the streams tonight we're going to do Q&A we're going to fly a couple of
[00:15:55] batteries have a good old time a nice relaxing Friday night I I've been I've had a ridiculously busy week and so I'm not trying to I I kind of wanted to do a what's the
[00:16:10] best 2S 7 what's the best motor for 2S 75mm digital rigs live stream but I just I just don't have it in me I also don't know how I'm going to do that I don't feel super comfortable
[00:16:25] firing tiny whoop Motors up to Full Throttle while I'm holding the D damn thing on 2S I'll probably be fine but like the spreadsheet that's available over on the Discord is all 1s
[00:16:39] stuff all minimum like 22,000 K well I guess 19,000 KV Motors but everything is on One S over there and here's the other thing all of the 2s
[00:16:56] Motors almost almost any motor prop combo that you're going to run on 2S on a 75mm tiny whoop is going to have plenty of power the tiny lifters are picking up a 26
[00:17:11] G insta 360 go-to none of even the blv 5 isn't that heavy and so 2S I don't think it matters as much I I I kind of do think that like bu the motor that is the color that you like best that's close to the
[00:17:31] right KV and you're going to be totally fine I don't think the 802s are the way to go on any of the digital 2S 75mm builds I think you want to bottom out at 102 and then for the if you want more
[00:17:47] than that the 1102s are really nice if you go 102 you're going to save a little bit of weight but you're going to pick some of that weight back up up when you have to do the longer screws and the
[00:18:02] spacers so if you're really looking for more flight time maybe the 102s are the way to go but man the BetaFPV 18,000 KV 1102s they bolt right on standard motor screws no messing around with spacers or
[00:18:23] m1.4 x5s which I do have and I am going to be putting I I took some pictures to get some new listings up on the Etsy store so I'm the the spacers and the screws will be going up there very
[00:18:39] soon and so there's that so I don't know I'm not sure I'm not sure what to what to really think or do about that I'm not going to think or do anything about it
[00:18:58] hold on what if I what if I put it under here hold on oh it's [Laughter] cold this is this is the fog machine s30 this is a photography fog machine that I got for
[00:19:33] Christmas because I'm a nerd and I haven't been messing around with it much I've been waiting to kind of mess around with it and I I busted it back out last night and I did some some fun
[00:19:46] little little glip glops here look I've been meaning to mess around with it I I've just been kind of I'm a little bit worried about like the the the oil getting all over
[00:20:01] everything people that Vape have told me that after a while like everything gets like an oily surface on it so I don't want iCloud mail I want just regular old iCloud take me to just regular iCloud
[00:20:19] raise FPV with a 714 Super Chat he says sent this weird amount so you get $5 from YouTube thanks for just being you and doing this aliat says hello even though she's missing this episode
[00:20:29] teller I say hello back thank you for the support my friend photos very important announcement hold on turn the volume up very important work Public Service Announcement Oreo
[00:20:56] flavor I've got a quick but important Public Service Announcement Oreo flavored Oreos are back there they are there they are my friends cookies and cream flavored Oreos also known as
[00:21:10] Oreo flavored Oreos are back I've been looking for these for over four years I got a I got a I got one of them and then they just disappeared from the stores here's the magic to the Oreo flavored
[00:21:27] Oreos you eat one of them and you're good it's they're a little bit too sweet but when you just eat one it's fine if you continue to eat them they're they're a little too sweet
[00:21:44] and the sweetness like builds up and it's not good but you just eat one like an adult and it makes you happy and you're good to go go get yourself some and tell me that it's not
[00:21:59] it's partially forcing yourself to not be an idiot also brain 3D's got a whole bunch of 04 mounts here you go here's what I did last night what what did you do last
[00:22:13] night one row or one pack oh yeah yeah so that's the little LED pigtail from Tiny whoop.com getting the job done I got to do this again but with someone else so that I can arm the damn thing I was
[00:22:35] just like blowing the the smoke around with my mouth a little bit or just using like what was happening in the room this was very fun this was very very very fun to mess around with
[00:22:48] with a little fog machine and Ultra slow motion man I would have loved this little smoke machine when I was in the photog graphy way back when look at that look how cool that is come on
[00:23:03] Yo oo o look at that come on now you can't tell me if if there was a live stream if there was a thumbnail for a video that you wouldn't that was this that you wouldn't click on that you
[00:23:23] can't tell me that you wouldn't click on it to see why this tiny whoop is half covered in fog look at this come on look at that green showing that upside down ball sack for all it's
[00:23:37] worth ball sacking come on oh God you can hear it me turn this downthe LED lights in the room strobing ruining this shot completely I I put one of these up in an
[00:24:01] Instagram story and I put Rob Zombie feed my Frankenstein to it's was just terrific just wonderful so there you go friends the fog machine very very fun that's the
[00:24:16] first time like I've actually messed around with it outside of just running around the room and turning it on and so more to come I think what I'm going to do so that I did that
[00:24:30] on the on the coffee table and immediately after like not much time there was I'm sorry Alice Cooper Alice Cooper good call Alice Cooper after messing around with it for
[00:24:42] not very long there was like a coating of the oil on the table so I think what I'm going to do is use it in the garage unfortunately it's so goddamn cold that I'm not going to want to do that so
[00:24:54] but I don't know what I I I'm okay with the having to wipe that [@$#%] off the coffee table but what I don't want is for it to get all in the carpet what I mean like I have to assume
[00:25:06] that this fog juice getting like saturated into the into the carpet around the coffee table is going to be disgusting so maybe maybe I should do it up in the Loft there's like a rug up in the Loft
[00:25:25] and it's I got to figure something out I'll figure I got to figure a spot out I I guess I could do it over the hardwood because then the hardwood can just be wiped down right do any of you guys have
[00:25:40] any have any of you guys Vaped for any significant period of time does it what happens with the carpet does does the carpet become oily and horrible because like how the hell do you get that out
[00:25:50] how the hell do you get oil out of the carpet you don't right and fog juice is just oil it's just this like viscous ass oil and it's got to go somewhere oh my God fpds says that his
[00:26:05] Vape messed up his PC thrash says no difference in my carpet not that of right but it's got to be there right condenses on cold surfaces Ry bread says render says it's fine depends
[00:26:21] on how much see that's the thing like when I start playing around with this I'm going to go bananas like I I'm going to use it a bunch and so if I'm doing it in the same spot and and
[00:26:31] the fog is rolling off the coffee coffee table onto the carpet every single time in the same spot it's like that's a bit silly lay down a sheet well see and that's the other thing is
[00:26:44] that it like after it rolls down off the table it then just goes everywhere and so I don't want this room to get covered in like a a layer of this nonsense so I don't know I'll think
[00:26:56] more I'll overthink it and figure it out that's my new that's like my new favorite thing for any of my neuros spicy friends or just people in general or or like myself like if
[00:27:13] if there's a decision to be made I'll be like oh well give me a little bit I'll let me let me overthink that instead of like let me think about it let me overthink
[00:27:22] that that's I use it with Maggie too Maggie understands the the plight of the anxious and so yeah whenever she asked me for advice I'm like just give yourself some time go ahead and you know
[00:27:39] go overthink it and away we go look I've got two pin viic to sell I'm going to be putting pin visic back on the Etsy store I just have to get a bunch of them but if you're desperate for
[00:27:54] a pin viice I have two that you're reward for watching the live stream is that you get first crack at a at a pin Vie these are how these are the easiest way to hold the two drill bits
[00:28:09] the .99 mm and the 1.5 mm drill bits that way you have something to actually hold on to you've seen me use the the pinice a million times very very nice to have unessential tool in Your Arsenal
[00:28:24] of tiny whoop to tools so the if if you want to snag one of these two pin Vis before they go up on the Etsy store shoot me a message over on C fpv.one the listing I think it's
[00:29:03] 30 I want to say it's 30 but stay tuned get on there you little rat I promise that I won't try to Flame treat these to make them cool colors like I did last
[00:29:22] time and ruin them man I thought that was going to go so I I I was like man this is going to be so cool I can charge extra for this but instead it was the last one to sell
[00:29:35] cuz nobody wanted it and it took like forever to sell like you guys really didn't want it which I don't blame you it didn't look great I got like my finger juice all
[00:29:48] over it like the oil for my fingers got all over it's looked disgusting raise FPV says I dm' you on Discord please check when you get a chance I will check tonight maybe not
[00:29:58] tonight because after the stream Maggie wants to hang so we'll see if if we hang and then I fall asleep I'll get back to you tomorrow if I can't sleep I'll get back to you tonight tonian
[00:30:09] says bless your heart Canon bless your fart Canon ch3f saysCole PO says too much solder got sucked up Steve Sim says do you think that putting rubbers on your ball sacks might
[00:30:22] help keep the jello out of the camera probably not the the main way of keeping Jello-O out is better like fresh propellers and or on on Tiny whoops fresh propellers
[00:30:40] and or Motors that aren't banged up any sort of vibration damping that you add to the camera it can actually cause the jello to be worse any anytime you you put like like a rubber
[00:30:58] so we we put these rubber grommets on our flight controller to let the the quad kind of rotate down and so we've got one single rubber grommet there is that has the
[00:31:13] potential to create a spike in the blackbox log of whatever the resonant frequency is of the flight controller on those rubber grommets so if if the motor prop frame starts vibrating at just
[00:31:29] the right frequency there's a chance that the whole thing can bounce back and forth right and so now you take your camera and you put rubber isolators on the camera and now you're like
[00:31:45] compounding the number of different frequencies that you can potentially run into a resonant frequency and an oscillation and so I I know that a lot of these
[00:32:00] companies with their BNF's and a lot of these frames that carry 03 and now4 are doing soft mounting on the cameras you want to like if possible you don't want to use that because it's
[00:32:17] just adding more complexity from what I've seen it doesn't look like the 04 light really needs it I've seen a bunch of people now flying 04 light 1S and 2S tiny whoops
[00:32:30] with basically hard-mounted cameras and no Jello No Nonsense these are probably brand new rigs so these are probably fresh props and not beat up Motors once the
[00:32:44] motors and props start to get beat up this is that's the real game so we'll see BetaFPV has a really interesting canopy for the 03 with some crazy soft mounting going on in
[00:33:01] there maybe it works when we start talking about like Freestyle tiny whoops that we're going to beat the hell out of it's becomes a little bit of an issue if you're going to fly inside
[00:33:14] or in dark locations it's going to be a lot less of an issue if you want to fly outside in the bright sunlight it's going to become an issue it's something that I've struggled with with
[00:33:22] walks snail from day one so we'll see I crash a lot un often and so I will have to deal with it and I will try different ways of dealing with it but just keep that in mind
[00:33:37] soft mounting cameras is not like a one siiz all fits one siiz fits-all solution for getting rid of jello and it can actually cause it to get worse if the soft mounting on the camera is perfectly
[00:33:50] wrong it can create its own oscillation create its own resonant frequency and then that can actually make the jello even worse so you got to kind of trial and error that
[00:34:04] stuff hok says there's a guy named Jake FPV did a camera mod on the' 04 to get a larger field to view I saw that on Instagram image looks really good but it's quite hard of a mod not going to
[00:34:18] lie it's awful sketchy to cut something up that's that expensive right and try to put a fresh lens on there so I don't know I'm not going to dive into that
[00:34:36] anytime soon if if the the field of view really bothers me first step is to get a pair of goggles uh does anybody know anyone selling a pair of goggles 2 to get goggles 3 or goggles 3 I'm still
[00:34:52] kind of undecided between the two but if I can get a good deal on either one of them I'm just going to do that I have both of these over air units and I have no way of using the damn thing so if
[00:35:03] anybody sees or can ask around with your local folks or hears about somebody that is really wanting to go to goggles 3 that has goggles 2 let me know I want to be able to use the 04 stuff
[00:35:17] because the the big thing that I want to do is check the field of view out I want to compare the field of view on the' 04 light to the tiny whoop analog cameras and the WalkSnail light I'm I'm
[00:35:31] super looking forward to do that and I haven't seen anybody do that yet he G toan says with the name of the stream when the video open with you flying over those kind of cards I was
[00:35:42] like oh my God no glad it didn't happen in Flight yikes for sure battery leads letting go is is sketchy usually it is going to happen though when you're plugging and
[00:35:51] unplugging right cuz you have that moment where an xt60 lets go and you kind of yank it like plugging a battery in and having it so look the the this is
[00:36:04] why when your build is acting a little bit weird you don't ignore it right like an xt30 starting to fail or a battery lead starting to fail there could be a moment that it becomes intermittent and
[00:36:18] so like if you plug a rig in and it like boots up but then it like hiccups or something and then it reboots you never ignore that this didn't do that this just it was totally fine and then I went
[00:36:31] to plug the next battery in and I noticed that that wire was hanging out I was like oh okay guess I'm going to the car and getting the other rig and so these these fly right and
[00:36:45] like so think about airliners think about helicopters think about how strict they are with their log books with flight hours right helicopter main rotors are retired after like an
[00:37:00] outrageously short number of flight hours our stuff flies too we're not inside of it when it flies but still it's up in the air and so much differently than like a car when
[00:37:15] a spark plug lets go and you go a cylinder down and you limp home when these things go a cylinder down they slam into the ground and hopefully there's nothing expensive or living
[00:37:26] under them when that happens so respect these things obviously don't fly over people or things that are expensive but in general keep keep track of keep a little bit of a mental note of your flight
[00:37:41] hours if if you have a build that you've put a few hundred batteries through take that thing apart and inspect everything give it some love love your love your builds every once in a while just you
[00:37:55] know give them a really good once over you should be checking for loose screws all the time you should be te checking for delaminating arms all the time because it's incredibly easy to do but
[00:38:05] every once in a while pull the thing apart and give it a nice once over and to be honest that would be a great time the the battery leads are one of the highest wear areas and so
[00:38:21] after a few hundred batteries if you're going to pull it time pull it down to give it a once over that's a great time to desolder the battery leads and just put a fresh battery lead on there that's
[00:38:31] got zero flight hours zero plug and unplug Cycles on it right so think about that stuff battery leads will eventually let go like this it's you're you're unplugging you're replugging they're
[00:38:44] they're getting moved around they're getting vibrated around as the thing flies so PTO 801 says what is the correct wire gauge for tiny whoop I heard slaw 30 aw G but it seems too
[00:39:00] low for the amps thank you it depends on what you're talking about 30 30 gauge is fine for the motor wires but it's nowhere near fine for the battery leads most of the battery leads that
[00:39:13] you buy are 22 let me just double check that where is it most of the battery needs that you buy are 22 gauge butterfly FPV swears by going to 20 gauge it 20 gauge is not going to weigh
[00:39:37] much more it's going to be a pain in the ass because none of the battery leads that you're going to buy have 20 gauge but I actually I've fallen madly in love with these tiny whoop
[00:39:49] LED fling flong schling schlongs no not schlong where are they where are they I just looked at batteries why how is it not in batteries it should be in batteries am I
[00:40:16] blind did I roll right by it man where is it I guess it's maybe in LEDs where's l LEDs right next to it I thought I looked in LEDs the other day and it wasn't in
[00:40:34] here or maybe it's just on the second page or maybe it's on the third page where is it h this is their new product it's a relatively new product so hopefully
[00:40:54] it'll be in here no it's not come on where is it oh they got the new Motors in oh new new motor cases we're going to take a look at these in a second but let me just try to find these things you
[00:41:06] have to build these yourself and so while you're doing that you might as well use 20 gauge wire there you go LED PCB pigtail kit I absolutely love these they build out and then you
[00:41:17] hook your your wires up like this so it makes a 180° turn and it's got an awesome little two little LEDs on it and so while you're building this you can swap to 20 gauge wires right if
[00:41:29] you buy a bt2.0 plug from BetaFPV or anybody else it's going to have the 22 gauge wire already on it so then you're going to have to cut it really short and then and then go wire to wire with 20
[00:41:41] gauge well it's necks down to 22 gauge anyway so what's the point so realistically like if you want to go down to 20 gauge wire you could this is really the only way that you can do it
[00:41:51] that right so LED PCB pigtail kit by black horse really really really cool but let's see if there's any Insanity with these new Motors so let's do this and then we're just going to do one of
[00:42:06] these and we can look at them all I wonder if they're all the same thing just in in stock now also runcam nano7 we're going to talk about this as well this is the replacement
[00:42:21] for the runcam Nano 3 okay we need to look at anything else in here so oh new bell design totally different Bell design look at that okay I don't know if that's a hypy model
[00:42:39] motor anymore project Top Spin Premium Motors by tiny whoop no way introducing the future of 802 with improved efficiency higher maximum thrust and an unli locking shaft oh look at that motor Bell
[00:42:55] indicates the motor Direction that's pretty slick all right unsp locking shaft I my assumption is that that's just a fancy way of no it's not I was going to say I I my
[00:43:13] assumption is that's just a fancy way of the splin shaft but it isn't look can you see how the Gap here is a little bit big bigger it's a keyed motor shaft it looks like instead of the instead of
[00:43:33] the connection between the motor shaft and the bell being round they've flattened it out on the sides so it's it's where the top and the bottom here are flat this would be round and they've
[00:43:49] like done that and so that will not slip it could still come up and off but it's not going to rotate which is really really good that's a huge step forward damn tiny whoop doing it cool looking
[00:44:07] Bell design so 802 30,000 which is good for One S that's actually a new KV 802 30,000 80225 that's a little too low of a KV here you go new ials
[00:44:23] 80227 if you're thinking about getting the 25s don't get the 7s they're give you that little extra bit more hell maybe get the 30s if it were me I would actually go all the way up to the 30s
[00:44:33] but these are purple so purple wins but no real reason to get the 25s get the 27s for sure and then if you don't want oh there it is there it is very very cool
[00:44:51] Jesse thank you good stuff yeah get the 27s and then if you don't want that extra power just motor limit them down if at some point you need the extra power you didn't
[00:45:02] waste $45 on a set of Motors that are too low of a KV what I mean 802 27s okay with a 1 mm shaft so okay hold on let's see I I hadn't been looking at the motor
[00:45:24] shafts all right so the ows are 1 and a half millim motor shaft the 30,000 oh that's a shame the 30,000 are not so I I I mean at the moment there aren't there's only one set of
[00:45:45] 1.2 in 1 and 1 12 mm propellers out the GemFan 1210s over at Weeble that's a great prop don't get me wrong it's looking like there are some more options coming but like today the 1 mm
[00:46:03] motor shaft gives you a lot more prop options hopefully as we click through these tabs here there'll be a version of these or maybe even the 33,000 KV ones with a 1 and a half mil motor shaft
[00:46:16] because even on a lightweight 702 rig the 1 mil motor shaft just bends 802 27000 with the 1 mm shaft what else do we have 802 25s with 1 mil I think yep you can just kind
[00:46:34] of see it 802 24,000 like if you're going for Ultra runtime or something maybe go down to 30 24 or if you like this color scheme that's a really cool color scheme the black and
[00:46:52] gold what else 802 22,000 again as the KV goes down down lower and lower and lower you do gain a little bit of efficiency but I mean having a higher KV motor and then motor limiting it down or
[00:47:05] just not going Full Throttle all the time you're going to get the majority of that efficiency back don't like I've I've I've played this game and I've never seen a significant
[00:47:17] amount of extra efficiency by going to a lower KV motor versus just flying a higher KV motor softer or motor limiting it down 70 now we're into 72s look at okay so 702 with the new new bell design
[00:47:34] as well look at night Nightwing specific Motors that is well deserved with the really cool pink and blue from his logo that is awesome looking 7 702 26666 that's super funny a little bit
[00:47:49] of a low KV for me but we don't know anything about these motors right like BetaFPV 27,000 KV Motors make a bunch of power 27 28,000 KV Motors so maybe if if these are not being made by happy
[00:48:06] model or if HappyModel has changed the way that they're doing something 26666 KV might make really good power it's kind of impossible to know until we try these out 702 27,000 KV
[00:48:20] team whoop track Edition what is that very cool silver and gold whoop Trek really cool little logo there 702 23,000 now we're getting to the point where like I really do
[00:48:42] consider these to be way too low of a KV 702 is a tiny little motor you want you want more KV but again that's just me if you want something that has Ultra Ultra Ultra throttle
[00:48:56] resolution lower KV will do that or get higher KV and just put a little bit's down 702 27,000 KV that's rad black and gold again very cool looking didn't wasn't there another
[00:49:11] 702 27,000 KV there is how come there are two are one of these a one and a half mil motor shaft what's the difference here obviously the color and maybe that is the only difference
[00:49:31] 70227 70227 Let Me Go a page down page down extremely lightweight 1.22 grams extreme 1.22 gr oh this wait what available in 702 oh okay this is just a generic a generic chunk of text in the in the
[00:49:58] description I'm not seeing a difference between these two other than the color which is fine that's kind of cool to have two different color options if you're in the market for a 702 27,000 KB motor you can
[00:50:12] either get them in the in the cool gold and silver or the golden black that's pretty slick we've never really had that before 702 26,000 KV in that silver and gold
[00:50:26] now we're talking 702 29,000 KV this is more what I'm into custom FPV branded that's super cool again welld deserved already sold out unfortunately I don't know if maybe they just haven't been put
[00:50:38] into stock yet but a really really cool purple color going on there 702 32,000 KV now we're talking even better T Dog black and blue love that and cool so that looks it's it
[00:50:53] that looks like those are the those are the different KVs so for me it's going to be these tea dog ones hopefully they come in stock and hopefully I can snag a set 702 32,000 KV I'll be
[00:51:04] super interested to see how that compares to the current 702 32,000 KV Moon Travelers that I have on the trans rights or I byes rig so awesome that black and blue looks cool too
[00:51:19] run cam nano7 apparently they just skipped the six and the five I guess I mean whatever as it says here the runam nano7 is the successor to the world famous runam Nano 3 which has been discontinued it
[00:51:32] uses a heavier much larger lens the image is great it's Now the default camera for the mobul 6 2024 I wonder if this is the same thing as the fxt that was coming on the mobul
[00:51:44] 6 2024 or if this is different here's an example of what I was talking about with field of view this is the this is the info that we should have when it comes to Field of view go figure Jesse
[00:51:57] puts this info in right Jesse has always got our back field of view is measured in diagonal horizontal and vertical so for all we know the 120 whatever it is field of view of the
[00:52:11] 04 light that could just be the horizontal field of view right you see this 120 that's pretty damn close there but also like I've been explaining as well none of these camera manufacturers
[00:52:25] seem to understand or adhere to the standard way of measuring field of view because there are plenty of FPV cameras that have that say that one will say that it has 160 field of view the other
[00:52:41] will say it has 170 the other will say it has 150 and they'll all be exactly the same or the one that says that it has wider field of view will actually have less field of view it's a
[00:52:53] total mess you literally just have to buy the camera and test it for yourself or wait for a donkey like me to have an awesome little test rig like this created and sent to him from the
[00:53:10] the wonderful Kevin suar and test these things right next to each other if you want to take a look at the images from like 10 or 11 or 12 of the most popular tiny whoop cameras over on
[00:53:25] my patreon which is linked at se fv.com there's a post to a Google drive with all of the images from three separate tests that I've done light test dark test you can see the field of view you
[00:53:38] can see the quality of the camera you can see how much fisheye where the fisheye is and you can choose the camera that you like the look of best rather than just blindly grabbing
[00:53:48] one the runam nan7 I have not tested because I literally found out about it like a day ago and so I will be snagging one of these because I mean I will stick with the runam Nano 3
[00:53:59] because it's Ultra lightweight but it's hard to find pyrro drone has them they are a version that's very bright which some people don't like but it's still super lightweight what's really slick about
[00:54:14] this camera that I absolutely love is that it's got the holes in the corners and these holes in the corners will I to mount this up to the old school mobula 6 ball sack canopy and
[00:54:26] that's pretty awesome because I just cannot find another canopy that solidly holds the camera and is as durable so this is cool this is really really cool that this exists do I already have a tab opened
[00:54:43] I do I just want to remember that I always snag hold on let me get some water that'll wake me up a little bit hi dog what do you want from me I feel like it smells like fog
[00:55:01] machine down here now fog machines have that smell how like when you walk into a club there's fog machine smell I feel like that's going on in
[00:55:13] this in this basement now it's not the worst smell also not the best smell though it's all right smells like there's been partying going on here that's a cool thing right right
[00:55:32] lots and lots and lots of etsy orders shipped yesterday if you did not get the email I sent out a I put a Discord post up yesterday about a hold on there's a p not Discord patreon
[00:55:52] there's a patreon post from yesterday with a limited time exclusive discount bonus deal act now save big special Etsy promotion so check that out all you got to do is join my patreon
[00:56:07] you'll get access to that the deal is so good that if you join my patreon it'll actually pay for itself you'll get your you'll basically get your first month of patreon
[00:56:19] free cot fv.com my friends support me and I'll keep doing this uh fron walrich says there love your streams thank you dude enjoy glad to have you Louie says I have two
[00:56:34] sets of Motors 102 24,000 KV I use for 2S it's a lot of KV for 2S 802 23,000 KV from an a75 if I switch these around will either build improve I have no idea do it and find
[00:56:50] out I don't know what the first build is air 75 I mean improve is just is just i' improve maybe you for me I might hate it but you might love it right and so you're talking about like 24 screws and
[00:57:13] eight motor plugs to find out so just do it do it and see what see if you like it I don't know so on my website there's a Fiverr link within Fiverr the three gigs that I have are
[00:57:26] flight instruction I help you fly better tuning we tune your Rigs and I teach you how to tune at the same time and then build planning the build planning session begins with me asking you 20
[00:57:40] questions the answers to all of those questions are the only way that I can dial in on the type of a build that would benefit you the most that you want that you deserve to fly that kind of
[00:57:52] thing without that info I have no idea Lou what I mean every single pilot is completely different and there just is no improve there's just different a bigger heavier
[00:58:09] motor will typically stay cooler and it has the potential to make more power some people might a lighter weight motor can potentially have better efficiency and better flight
[00:58:22] characteristics from the rig being lighter not necessarily there are just there are a ton of different factors at play and better or improve or stuff that is a completely personal
[00:58:38] thing so realistically I I I can't answer that question if I were to answer that question it would be from my standpoint and you're a different pilot than me and I try really hard not to do
[00:58:49] that I try really hard not to say do this I give you my experiences I try to teach you guys as much as I possibly can about how a bigger motor versus a smaller motor
[00:59:04] higher KV versus low KV affects the way that these things fly and then it's on you to decide do you want more power do you want more Efficiency do you want more right do you want
[00:59:16] less weight on the ends of the arms what propellers are you running durability sometimes comes into play so but the long and of it is going to be that a 102 motor is going to be
[00:59:29] heavier it's going to run cooler and it has the potential to make more power the the other thing the other problem is that different manufacturers build the motors
[00:59:44] differently so a 102 24,000 KV motor from one manufacturer compared to an 802 23,000 KV motor from another manufacturer even though the 102 should make more power it might not the thickness of the
[01:00:00] magnets could be different the air gap could be different the thickness of the laminations and the Stater could be different the winding could be different one company could just be [@$#%]
[01:00:09] at making tiny little Motors there are just a million variables it sounds like you have both of those so just do it do it and find out and let us know in the chat what what
[01:00:19] your results were because that's the only way for us to figure this stuff out I I try my best to buy buy like either a set or at least one of every motor that exists but I I I
[01:00:33] just can't I I I I can't afford that and it takes a lot of time is FPV says do you carry any kind of liability insurance for your professional gigs I do SK
[01:00:44] uh Skywatch I think it's Skywatch there's like one company that offers drone Insurance and then on my on my initial invoice that I send so I do the I do their minimum
[01:00:57] which is a million on the the the initial invoice that I send out there's details about if you need more than a million in Insurance it'll cost you an extra blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
[01:01:08] blah and yeah or although to be honest most most gigs that I work on they have their own insurance this is something that I talk about on the the sort of like initial fact finding
[01:01:22] phone call and usually they have their own insurance that they're covered under so I usually don't even need it Bora Bora says what are those different types of glues being used for there
[01:01:34] are so many of these with different numbers thousands and letters for example which one is best to put over UFL connectors really good question so tiny whoop is my favorite spot for
[01:01:45] the different glues I'm assuming it's in Hardware let me take a quick look though well no hold on let's just search for glue they not okay so they they have regular E6000 all right so E6000 you can
[01:02:08] get big tubes of it locally from like hobby shops E6000 is perfect for doing exactly that you put E6000 on it's pretty goopy it stay if you put a little bit of it on it stays exactly
[01:02:24] where you need it to if you put a bunch of it on it will flow a little bit putting it on to the ends of the arms on that thing I put a Big Blob on and it was kind of a pain in the ass it was
[01:02:34] flowing all over the place so I was having to like hold that rig one way and then it would start to flow down then I would have to tilt it the other way and get it to flow and then after like 5 or
[01:02:43] 10 minutes it's cured enough E6000 takes like 24 hours to fully cure which is kind of a pain in the ass but E6000 does not care about heat I think of E6000 as basically a heat proof
[01:03:00] hot glue it has a lot of the same properties as hot glue it when it dry what hot glue would be a better choice for the ends of the arms so here's a really cool trick
[01:03:12] with hot glue too because the ends of the arms don't get hot having a hot glue gun around is super annoying so just keep your hot glue sticks and a lighter and
[01:03:27] just hit the tip of the hot glue stick I'm going to show you on this on this build actually we're going to do this right now this is what I should have done yesterday this will be so easy
[01:03:37] right so what I want to do is pad the end of this right and this is how you do it so you get this molten it's [@$#%] molten who knows if that's who knows what movie that's
[01:03:54] from it's [@$#%] molten right so you get it hot and now it's molten and you just touch it and you it's like fun you like gloop it all around and then pull it off and it gets a little stringy
[01:04:12] but now you've got a super safe little arm end and so one of the great things about hot glue is that once it cools if you go to pick it off the whole blob of it comes off E6000 is the same way the
[01:04:30] problem with E6000 I'm sorry the problem with hot glue is that when you get it hot it goes liquid and so putting hot glue onto your AO when the AO gets hot the hot
[01:04:43] glue loses its stickiness E6000 does not so E6000 is a much better choice to hold the UFL down because ufls are hooked up to things that get hot right vtx's and so hot glue is absolutely perfect
[01:05:00] for this application because it just cooled down and it's not flowing all over the place like the E6000 was but if I need to get this hot glue off oh it's already it's already completely cool if
[01:05:11] I need to get this hot glue off right to get at this screw I just pick at it with my fingernail and once I get a little thing started I peel it and the whole chunk will come off there's also so
[01:05:23] the worst of the glues the absolute worst is liquid electrical tape this sucks and TBS uses this on their ufls they've got some they've got some reason that makes a little bit of sense
[01:05:42] but no it's stupid and it's the worst liquid electric tape is ultra liquidy and it flows all over the place and then when you go to try to remove
[01:05:58] liquid electric tape with your fingernail or with a screwdriver or something it flakes off and it flakes off and it flakes off and it flakes off I think you might be able to
[01:06:07] use like acetone or something to get it off but it's no I I hate it I I don't like it at all I I'm I have half a mind to throw this away but at some point there will be a reason there
[01:06:21] will be a specific use for liquid electric tape and I will have it but stuff sucks don't use it so then we've so we talked about E6000 hot glue sticks and liquid
[01:06:34] electric tape tiny whoop also has so one of the this is sold out but why I love the the glue selection on Tiny whoop is they have these tiny little pinpoint applicators tiny whoop now has b7000
[01:06:50] and t7000 these I mean Jesse does a great job explaining it in here but look they're all very similar to E6000 this t7000 is black this b7000 is clear they both both of these that
[01:07:11] are both in stock for three whole dollars have the little pinpoint applicator tips which are just amazing so these are what you want next time you do a tiny whoop.com order get a a
[01:07:23] tube of b7000 and t7000 V2 the the original t7000 for 99 it's very thick and you got to squeeze the tube really hard to get it out of that little pinpoint applicator
[01:07:37] and it's just kind of annoying it's worth the extra $2 to get the V2 t00 t7000 but so realistically you've got glue sticks floating around somewhere throw a couple of them in your toolbox
[01:07:48] and then next time you do a tiny whorter get a few tubes of b7000 and t7000 now you've got heat resistant hot glue basically in clear and in black and you're good to go these are both
[01:08:03] amazing amazing amazing amazing and they will both when you when you pick them away and pull them they will stick together and you will take the whole blob off all at once which is really
[01:08:15] nice because then you can reapply it liquid electric tape just sucks the biggest bag of dicks on Earth because of how impossible it is to get off I'm going to leave this hot glue stick out
[01:08:27] to remind myself to redo this well and so here I I'll give you an example I'll I I got to I got to do all four of these right so this is now completely cool and dry and it's got like this nice
[01:08:40] rubbery texture right so if I bang into something with the corner now instead of hard ass carbon fiber and metal it's got this like padded thing but look if I need to remove this
[01:08:51] screw I just come in here I get it started and it will pretty much all peel off in one big piece well I mean it broke once but what I mean it I got a nice
[01:09:10] big wherever liquid electric tape it would take like 10 minutes to do this it's super obnoxious wow hot glue is not nearly as good as E6000 E6000 does a there we go I spoke too soon it
[01:09:24] it pretty much all peeled off but that didn't take much time trying to do that job there with liquid electric tape I'd still be doing it at the end of this live stream it would
[01:09:34] be a total goddamn Nightmare and it's so loose and viscous that it would flow all over the place wow hot glue is not nearly as good as E6000 in terms of coming off in one
[01:09:46] big chunk E6000 it like it sticks to itself very very very well which is why it comes off in in one big chunk but look right 60 seconds and it's completely gone like I might have the
[01:10:02] tiniest little bit here no it's completely gone right hot glue is awesome the big thing about hot glue though is that it doesn't ooze all over the place working with that E6000
[01:10:14] last night on the other one I was getting very frustrated cuz it was it was just getting all over I got it all over the desk super annoying but for most things E6000 is
[01:10:30] really really good those little tiny whoop containers too you can put them in your in your flight bag which oh so here's the other option too what I was about to say is since E6000 takes 24
[01:10:43] hours to cure having it in your flight bag for like going out and flying for an hour and then coming home doesn't really do you any good you want this for that this is bondic b o n DIC there are
[01:10:57] a million knockoffs but this is basically just the UV glue it comes with this little UV flashlight and it cures with the the UV the UV light cures this stuff it's
[01:11:14] not as sticky as E6000 and it doesn't Dry soft it dries hard but it cures right away so for a field repair bondic is the way to go it's the only stuff that's going to cure quick enough for
[01:11:30] you to get back up in the air E6000 will not do you any good at the field it'll still be it'll still be all liquidy and viscous when you're trying to take back off and then it might as
[01:11:40] well not even be there and then it's going to string out and get all over the place so bondic is super nice to have in your flight bag because you literally like put it on you grab that
[01:11:50] UV you shine it on there for like 5 seconds and it's hard as a rock it's really cool stuff but when you get home you're probably going to want to pick that bondic off and it's comes off
[01:12:02] in one big chunk because it's solidifies hard as opposed to solidifying soft I guess which would Break The Rules of Nature or the definitions of words yeah when you
[01:12:15] get home you'll pick the bondic off and replace it with E6000 because like I said E6000 is much stickier repairing like a tiny whoop frame E6000 is perfect E6000 also has a little bit of flex to
[01:12:28] it so a plastic to plastic connection with bondic it's going to be it's going to become hard and it's just going to break and snap whereas E6000 it'll have a little bit of flex in the
[01:12:40] same way that the plastic has Flex so you need to have E6000 and you'll use it all over the place in life it's a really really nice glue Ray FPV with a 714 Super Chat we
[01:12:54] got that one thank you again race off axis says I want Red Bull Oreos you're disgusting you disgust me sir the end 1964 says need an orange and black whoop with the fog for Halloween
[01:13:07] indeed we do I just sent my last orange and black orange led to danilla the terrible actually I'm waiting on a another drill bit but I don't have any more of the Orange
[01:13:21] is not really my color I've got red white green purple no pink pink those are the battery LEDs that I've got the rig from the that I was showing you with the green we're going to fly that tonight I
[01:13:38] put this this back together hey I've got the I've got the hold on the most powerful tiny whoop Motors in the world are available for sale they're not fresh but they're fresh enough RC
[01:14:11] and power 0702 29,000 for sale full set you've seen me fly them I haven't crashed them that bad but they're not brand new so let me know if you want them the runtime is going to suck but
[01:14:25] boy do they make some power the motor shafts are ever so slightly skinny so you're going to have to either do a little bit of super glue in the inside of your propellers and let it dry or use
[01:14:36] your least favorite fine tipped tweezers to score up the inside of the props to get them to grab on those motor shafts other than that though they're fun very very fun set of
[01:14:46] Motors THV says 360° spinning product reveals using the fog machine for the background could be sick for sure and I do have I got this really cool little this is like the most underused
[01:15:01] tool in my entire photography Arsenal this is meant for doing panoramic images this is a little it's a glorified egg timer and it the battery's probably
[01:15:21] dead yep battery's dead but it's got slow medium and fast quarter 20 up top and it just rotates and you can tell it to do you can tell it to do 90° and then back and then 90° and back or
[01:15:40] spin around in One Direction or spin around in the other direction and it's just super cool qu 20 on the bottom as well yeah really really neat little Black Bolt ba20
[01:15:56] BL c k b o t Das ba20 super super super cool and so what I've done with it a couple times is put like a little black plate on top of it and then you put like a drone
[01:16:12] on top of that and then it spins the Drone around real slow and then you you put it onto fast mode and it's like it spins it and then so you just do regular video and then you like
[01:16:22] triple or quadruple the speed and then you get like a proper rotation but this is such a cool little piece it I I don't necessarily know why but you can unscrew this and
[01:16:36] then this plate I don't quite get it I I I don't know why they wouldn't stop this here this would make some semblance of sense but it doesn't I guess they did it so that you can get access to the to this
[01:16:54] for the screw but it's very solid and so I always just twist the camera on and then it's good to go kind of a strange decision but really cool little little Bing Bong I'm going to
[01:17:09] charge it up because that is a good idea this thing spinning a product and then the fog moving around in the background would be incredibly cool man I have all kinds of weird [@$#%]
[01:17:22] from back when I was into photography not weird stuff very very useful very like hold on let me overthink that for you a while let me overthink that for you kind of
[01:17:37] stuff mostly like lighting gear but that's what I was most that's what I was most obsessed with was lighting still am thr F says yes no difference in my carpet interesting
[01:17:55] interesting davs says hydrogenated oils is that what it is well let's see what do hydrogenated oils do to carpet hydrogen peroxide no will Vape oil ruin my carpet
[01:18:33] I don't know baking soda G this is all people that have spilled it I don't know I don't care I tried I did one second of research that's better than doing zero
[01:18:52] seconds th says I was also born without sense of smell so take that as you will I mean of all the senses to not have I guess that would be the best one although that sucks man food
[01:19:05] smell is something like 50% of the taste of food off axis says more issues with with Vapes with glass and lens to my knowledge what ah ah got it got it got it got it yep getting on camera lenses I know
[01:19:20] somebody mentioned that when I was first playing around with it uh after Christmas and I was like like oh nope nope not [@$#%] around with that on the desk here anymore dve s says will ort
[01:19:31] enter antennas work on 04 yep antennas are completely any antenna will work on anything as long as it's the correct bandwidth right so any 5.8 antenna will work on any 5.8 um transmitter any
[01:19:52] 2.4 antenna will work on any 2 for receiver or transmitter doesn't matter if it's a receiver or a transmitter it's just you have to match up the the antenna 5.8 2.4
[01:20:06] 900 those are the three main bands that we use in FPV you need to match those up with the with that on the either transmitter or receiver other than that you're good to
[01:20:21] go AZ Lone Wolf says what size screws are needed to mount the 04 on the aiio either M12 m1.2 by2 or m1.2 by14 for most builds but the answer to that depends completely upon the frame that
[01:20:43] you're using how tall the grommets are that you're going to use on the AO how tall the grommets are that you're going to use on the VTX and then how thick the mounting posts are of your canopy
[01:20:55] but like I said for most builds m1.2 x 12 or 14 YouTube did the thing scrolling back up to try to find my place Frank Nicholas says I'll take a pin Vie I texted you last week if you
[01:21:14] had any that's what actually made me realize that like I should have them in I'd like some other items when you have a chance to chat discuss sounds good Frank also says drill bits also for me
[01:21:25] I'll text or email I've actually run dry on the drill bits but I have more on the way so soon enough thf PV says what good open prop frame for 1S no such thing to use my 450 and 550 mhh
[01:21:40] batteries and switch 75 whoop internals too yeah in my opinion there are none what they're they're just a 1S build that's open propped is not fast
[01:21:57] enough yeah it's just not fast enough and so you have something that's like 2 miles an hour quicker than a tiny whoop but every single time you crash it in any kind of like grass or wood chips or
[01:22:12] or pine straw or anything you're going to have to take the Walk of Shame and then when you try to shoot tight gaps it's not accurate and so it's going to slide all over the place so you you
[01:22:24] have have like all the disadvantages of open prop but like none of the advantages and then you have all the disadvantages of like like low voltage low power but none of the
[01:22:38] advantages like razor accuracy so they're they're it's not that there aren't any good frames it's just that it doesn't make any sense to do an open prop 1S rig the flight characteristics are
[01:22:55] they have no home it doesn't make any sense to fly them anywhere they're too slow to fly big and they're too slidy to fly small so it's like you'll build it and then you'll fly it a few
[01:23:09] times you'll get sick of taking the Walk of Shame it won't do anything great you'll put it on the shelf and it'll stay there forever and then eventually you'll look at it and be like
[01:23:18] well I I can take these parts and build something that actually flies decent and then you'll tear it back apart so just skip the middleman and just don't build it in the first place use the parts for
[01:23:30] something else that that makes more sense cool open prop 1S is 100% hype train that is company's selling you something that looks good on paper but then when you get it's just like
[01:23:45] what does this do well meton says soft mounting 03 camera is necessary in a lot of cases for gyro flow I've experienced this firsthand footage could not be stabilized on a quad that
[01:23:56] otherwise flies awesome um interesting what I mean it doesn't matter but I wonder what gyro is in the is in the 03 I wonder if it's got like a like an 8K gyro or something or a
[01:24:15] real a real sensitive gyro I don't even think about that so if you're looking to use gyro flow a canopy with soft mounting might be a necessity or maybe they put a different
[01:24:34] gyro into the 04 because that's what we're everybody's talking about right now we'll see time will tell Ying Yang's back he says flew outside in the snow a small amount of jello is only
[01:24:44] noticeable here and there I modified my adapter version to make it more soft mounted and isolated from the canopy so far tester worlds I haven't seen any Jello in the new version very very cool
[01:24:54] hey um somebody took one for the team in in TC Moore took one for the team over on his Instagram story ah [@$#%] the story is gone let me see if I still have it in my
[01:25:13] messages he I think he's got the first broken' 04 light let me see if I can get to I don't think it'll let me view the story no it won't okay so 04 light right next to the bind button
[01:25:33] there's a component I'm not going to get mine out but the bind button and the component right next to it are fragile if you're using a canopy that push against those two components you're going to break
[01:25:47] them off and you're probably not going to be able to fix it so pay atten ition to that any canopy that you run and any orientation that you put your 04 light in you do not want that
[01:26:02] canopy pushing up against that component really you don't want the canopy pushing up against any components but that's what he broke he broke the bind button off and
[01:26:16] the component that's right next to it off because his canopy that he was running was smashed up against those and after a bunch of crashes it snapped those both off so careful
[01:26:30] careful with what canopies you run on the o4 light thank you for giving us that feedback yingyang very very cool of you lster says guys how how are you sorry for the for your failing rig
[01:26:44] but you 4S it is 4S if it was 6s it would have caught on fire it been way worse ler also says sure a second one sorry mistyped the enter button by mistake no worries thrash FV says how do you
[01:26:57] make your BT 3.0 leads and batteries less tight when connecting I don't it takes so much force to get it apart I feel like it shouldn't no I I wish it didn't although I've I've had that
[01:27:08] issue with BT 2.0 before and the fix was on the battery so the fix was on BT 2.0 was to take my fine tipped tweezers and the the the so the the on the quad side it's pins and on the battery side
[01:27:26] it's these these jibjabs and they're multiple pieces of metal and so you just Jam something in to open up a little bit I actually kind of want to do that because it is pretty obnoxious what
[01:27:41] I'm going to tell you though is to be gentle if you do this too hard and open them up too much it's way more difficult to close them back up so just do it a little bit so just take
[01:27:55] your fine tip tweezers and jam them in there a little bit or find something that fits perfectly although well hell never mind on bt2.0 these are not two pieces of metal
[01:28:14] BT 2.0 it's two pieces of metal yep so BT 2.0 it's like this it's these these two pieces of metal like like and so you can can blo them up BT 3.0 it's a solid piece of metal so
[01:28:28] the more times you plug it in the more it's going to wear away at the metal but there's really no way I mean I guess you could get a drill bit that's just the right size to take just a
[01:28:42] little bit of the material off but good luck with that if I'm not going to do that if you do that let us know what the right size is because I I that's going to be total
[01:28:57] trial and error and you're going to have to get it just right bmud Skipper says have you run into a bt3 got that wait no that's another person asking the same connection the
[01:29:11] same exact question one minute later they're they're too tight bet FPV got the tolerances just barely wrong oh look th says b mud skipper holy [@$#%] same
[01:29:25] bmud Skipper also says please recommend silicone coated wire for flexibility and heat resistance for soldering when doing 20 AG leads never ever ever ever use the PVC
[01:29:37] coated shiny ass wires for anything they're it's just awful always always always use the nice soft silicone wires anytime you get those shiny stiff wires throw them away they're they're
[01:29:54] good for nothing yinyang says picked up the igal earlier today very cool thrash fvv says do these motors have 1.5 mimer shafts that's my deciding factor yeah so we talked about that
[01:30:08] the ow do cold front penguin says on my transmitter when moving the switches the transmitter doesn't recognize movement when physically moving them what could be causing this
[01:30:24] transmit broken when did it start whatever happened right before that started is is is what's causing the problem so if you dropped it on the ground it's broken if you were in
[01:30:37] the menu screwing around with stuff you've screwed something up but I mean the screen on the transmitter and the switches there's no reason for them to match each other exactly other
[01:30:55] than it's broken but if if you did something that caused this Behavior then that's that that's what's causing it Ray FPV says I'll take one of those double-ended pin Vis I have the
[01:31:09] drill bits already sounds like you and Frank got both of the pin VI already just message me and we'll figure it out Mr Wheezy says this is why I like Ciotti goes on a big thing about E6000 then all of a
[01:31:22] sudden just goes what hot glue I forget about hot glue cxb FPV says what about welder's glue welders is E6000 I don't know if they're exact they're actually the same thing but I've
[01:31:37] used them both and they're the same thing yeah welders is sold here in the US and it's JMP thank you for the Super Chat brother where's it at I he says can you explain the components of a whip
[01:31:52] antenna lost the clear end piece and now reception is compromised so the clear end piece is the active element a lone wolf you're next the clear end piece is the
[01:32:05] active element so we've got all right hold on so we've got the UFL plug itself and then we've got the shielded wire this wire here is the black thin silicone outer coating under that is a metal
[01:32:31] braid which is shielding under that is a clear plastic coating which is what you're seeing here and then in the very core are metal strands this here these are the metal strands and then the the
[01:32:48] clear plastic coating and then on top of these two but only down here is that silver braid which is shielding and then on the outside here basically black shrink wrap this guy here so this is
[01:33:02] regular shrink wrap covering up a ground plane if you want to make one of these antennas super lightweight you can take this ground Plane off you cut this shrink wrap off on the outside here and
[01:33:14] then this silver or copper ground plane it will it will come off with a little bit of a soldering iron love up on the tip and then away you go this is the active
[01:33:29] element and if this breaks off you basically have no antenna and so your antenna is just ruined you can technically strip back a bunch of this and then cut down the the
[01:33:46] silver braid but the length of this active element is very very very important these antennas are everywhere don't buy them you'll if you stay in the hobby for more than like six months
[01:34:00] you'll have 14 of these floating around so I don't necessarily recommend you buy them I mean if you need a replacement antenna get something better get a micro from my from my Etsy store and
[01:34:18] you'll get significantly better performance and you'll feel cool because you'll have up up upgraded your rig don't for the love of God don't buy another whip
[01:34:28] antenna that is throwing money away so those are the different components of the antenna here on YouTube I'm sure that there are people so if you search for like how to
[01:34:42] make a 5.8 antenna you will almost certainly find folks showing you how to do it so there you go so he right now he's cutting through the outer in this case it's a clear silicone so th this is
[01:35:11] the same thing so he just removed it right so there's and now so there's that that metal braid that's the shielding and see he's pushing the shielding back and then he's going to remove the
[01:35:22] shielding clip clip clip clip clip and now here's that inner plastic so this is now an active element this is the the active element here this antenna will work as long as this is the right
[01:35:37] distance and that's what he's measuring with these calipers here and it looks like he didn't have it quite the right distance so he cut it down a little bit so this is now the active element this
[01:35:45] is a big thick antenna but they work the same so this is now a functioning antenna and he's going to put it onto an SMA lead which we don't need to watch but yeah that's the
[01:35:54] process outer braid outer silicone or plastic the braid inner plastic or silicone and then a couple strands of wire on the very inside which are the actual active element the full length of
[01:36:12] the antenna does matter this full length from the UFL to the tip of the active element does matter it does not matter nearly as much as the length of the active element outside of the shielding
[01:36:30] so the best possible antenna will be the correct total length and the correct active element length one of the things that a lot of the tiny whoop Racers do is they take they take these
[01:36:44] whip antennas and they make them like this long they cut them all the way down so that the active element is like right here that is the worst possible performing antenna that you can that you
[01:36:57] can have but they're trying to save like half a tenth of a gram and that's how you do that with one of these if you want an ultra lightweight whip antenna just remove the ground plane and this
[01:37:09] antenna becomes 02 of a gram leave it the full length and leave the active element but remove this shrink wrap here and the ground plane that's under it and for flying around the house it's totally
[01:37:22] fine I have a bunch of rigs on Ultra lightweight antennas like this but the micro is really the way to go it's super light incredibly durable the performance is better than any of the whip antennas
[01:37:32] and it's lighter than the than the whip antenna with the ground plane and the so basically regular whip antenna is sort of like the heaviest option and it performs like decent a little bit
[01:37:46] lighter is the micro V it performs better and it's lighter but you got to pay for it and then the the the the whip antenna with the ground plane removed is the worst performance but it's free and
[01:37:59] it's the lightest so that's how it all kind of breaks down always good to revisit a Project Blue Falcon video very cool that one of the things I love most about YouTube is that it kind of makes
[01:38:19] you immortal and Blue Falcon died in a motorcycle accident many many many years ago but his impact on this world will forever be on YouTube and that's pretty cool that's a
[01:38:36] really good reason to learn how to edit and to start putting stuff up on YouTube God forbid something happens to you all of the people that have ever known you will be able to revisit you
[01:38:50] until YouTube shuts down someday hope not AZ Lone Wolf for the5 U wait JMP FPV thank you very much for the Super Chat brother a lone wolf with a $5 Super Chat he says hey SE love
[01:39:09] the streams first tiny [@$#%] build what size screws should I be using to mount the 04 answered this a minute ago I just in case you didn't hear the answer it depends on the fr fr the thickness of
[01:39:24] the grommets you put on the AIO the thickness of the grommets that you put on the 04 and the thickness of the base of the canopy where the screws go through probably m1.2 by 12 or 14 but
[01:39:43] those are my builds my builds use the m1.2 X 12s The Vision 40 on rotor Riot uses m1.2 x 14 if you're thicker than that Vision 40 build you're going to have to go up to
[01:39:58] 16 but don't do that you want that to be as low as possible hok says do I need do I need solder a capacitor if I use the BT 3.0 to us build running the new bit you do not need a capacitor
[01:40:17] no capacitors never hurt they only ever help so if you have space for one run it but I I refuse I don't run them and I've I've not had any problems related to not running them
[01:40:33] bmud Skipper says have you seen the floss trick to lock those loose props on I always forget about that you put floss into the prop that backs up through the hole and push it on Cut the excess
[01:40:43] floss off flat floss works really well yep that's another way to get props to fit tighter I've never used that trick because I always worry that it's going to throw the balance off slight
[01:40:54] it's probably negligible but that is another trick to getting props to fit better is just put a push a piece of floss through the hole in the prop and then Mash that prop on and cut
[01:41:05] the floss off th says ask chat DPT about I've actually never used chat GPT I've seen people use it I don't I don't need that in my life it's creepy CM kfv sayswhat's up brother B mud skipper
[01:41:22] says you can make a very minimal whip antenna by simply exposing the proper length of exposed wire I used an older UFL extension to make my antenna for the 04 13 mm is the length
[01:41:34] for 5.8 so there are actually all different lengths there's there are different lengths because the active element it just needs to be a fraction it needs to be like a so they'll be a
[01:41:51] length for like one to one and that'll be obnoxiously long but that's the best performing length of active element and then an antenna will work almost as well if you go half that length or a quarter
[01:42:07] that length I think even a fifth of that length they call this quarter wave fifth wave you you hear those if you do any research on Google about antennas you'll hear them talking about that and
[01:42:21] so as long like so the antenna on your car if you've got like a big long stupid stock antenna on your car for the radio you can cut that half it's so just measure it and then cut it half of
[01:42:34] its length and it won't look as stupid and it'll work almost as good you can also what I did on mine is I cut it to a quarter the length and it works absolutely fine and looks way way way
[01:42:44] cooler the the Mazda 2 looks like a giant RC car with the regular antenna because it's mounted like at a at a 45 degree angle and the front of the roof line and it just looks so stupid with a
[01:42:56] big long antenna and I somehow it came up and I was talking to my dad about it and he was like just cut it in a fraction and I was like really he's like as long as you keep like
[01:43:08] half quarter eth even it's antennas still work really really well so there's all kinds of lengths but if you cut it to like one over 4.5 that that's not it like
[01:43:23] you can technically do any fra you can put one slash and then any number you got to have like a whole number in the bottom of that fraction one over two one over four one over five one over eight
[01:43:32] right that kind of thing one over six just Google it Google proper active element length for 5.8 G antenna and there'll be 8,000 articles about it because people much smarter
[01:43:48] than us FPV donkeys have been using antennas for eons Denzel the trouble says sorry I'm late bent FPV says what kind of goggle battery do you use for your Strat sharks I've been using
[01:43:59] 18650 fat shark case but Barrel connector is fragile don't have a charger for regular lipos I use the old school fat shark lipo with the built-in USB because it's super small and
[01:44:16] lightweight unfortunately it's like the worst battery ever and then I also use what I really like are these need to get these out anyway what I really like are these
[01:44:41] tattoo 2S 2500s and they've got the barrel plug and then they've got a little LED panel here that tells you how charged they are % 60%
[01:44:55] 30% low yeah these are nice and small Barrel lead right on there drop right on Slim no [@$#%] but to be honest I would love it if somebody else would make the a version of the fat
[01:45:13] shark battery that has like a fresh nice good quality fresh lipo in it because again it's got the battery checker but then what I really love about it is it's got the USB port and so I can just put
[01:45:22] it right here next to my computer and just plug a USB a micro USB in and charge this up without having to fire up the big ass charger so imperfect world but the fat the fat sharks are pretty
[01:45:37] good on batteries too so this I get some life out of this not a lot but just enough just enough to keep me from losing my mind yingyang says the new design has padding for that I didn't notice that it
[01:46:02] could collide with the VTX what what new design yinyang I'm not sure what what you're referring to I think you're talking about canopies but I don't know which canopy you're talking about G tonian
[01:46:18] says I'm running the rotor canopy they sell it separately TPU 3D printed super heavy two and a half grams but it doesn't hit anything on the board that's nice yeah we're going to see a lot of
[01:46:29] different canopies so far there's the rotor Riot canopy there's the BetaFPV canopy with the crazy soft mounting there's the canopy that comes from HappyModel on the mobula 8 I actually sent
[01:46:43] Jason a message earlier today asking if he needs anybody else to uh review the mobu 8 I would love to get one and do a full live stream about it and then I'm also I would also like and I
[01:46:57] offered him to do like a full-blown edit like maybe a drift edit although the drifting place is not opened again yet but I'll do something cool and then there's a couple on
[01:47:08] prbl and or thingiverse and or yagi as well so we have a bunch of canopies already the canopy that TC was using was 3D printed maybe I actually don't know I don't know what canopy he was running
[01:47:28] when he broke the bind button off dead stiff says bought some sub 250 803 19,000 and flywoo 102 23,000 for 2S builds looking for a little more initial punch than the HappyModel 0802
[01:47:44] 20,000 so for analog lightweight 2S 75 mil builds I I I actually am the biggest fan of the 802 19,000 HappyModel Motors but the 20s will be about the same I I've got the motor limiting at like
[01:48:04] 85% I can't I I don't need any more power than that what's nice about the 802s is they're so lightweight the the sub 250 803s I was very disappointed with I had really high hopes but they
[01:48:19] just hammered the [@$#%] out of my batteries they didn't really have the power to back it up In fairness they were on the digital build if if I'd put them onto the analog build they would
[01:48:30] probably be well they would have been too much they would have been too much the 802s are just right in my opinion for the nice lightweight analog builds but that's my my builds are
[01:48:41] pretty light right like the 802s absolutely will not work for the digital build and the the digital builds are only another like six or seven G so for example the 802 19 or 20,000 feel
[01:49:06] perfect to me on sub 40 G all up weight builds I'm at 39.8 G that's with these brilliant little tiny whoop 2S 300s that are sold out right now if you're running a 2S 4
[01:49:23] 50 that is another like six or seven gr heavier I think than this battery and so you're basically into a digital build and so the 802s will not perform great in that setup the 102s are
[01:49:40] where things really start to get interesting 23,000 KV is a bit too high you're going to want to do a big old motor limit on that I would go down to like 60% to start and then gradually
[01:49:53] creep it up from there but other than that you should be good did I hold on I wanted to make I swapped the antenna I put a fresh antenna on this and then I did remember to E6000 cool so
[01:50:08] this guy is ready to fly again this was down I'd lost the antenna on this for a little while I mean to fly it again because it's just so fun so I let me know what you
[01:50:20] think about those sub 250 803s I I like like I said I was I was not I was I had such high hopes I was like really really really excited but like the runtime was just
[01:50:36] awful compared to 102s but that does make sense 803 is less than 3 to one width to height ratio and when you do that you don't have enough of the motor out into the airf flow from the props to
[01:50:56] keep that motor cool and one of the easiest ways to have a motor become extremely inefficient is for it to get too hot and so it does make sense right
[01:51:08] 803 if it was 903 it would be 3:1 3:1 ratio is like kind of bare minimum that's what a 2207 has right 714 21 22 close enough and 2207 Motors are basically like super powerful
[01:51:33] and as lightweight as you can possibly get the problem with 2207 Motors is they can is they can get a little bit hot and then they become a little inconsistent essentially like you Hammer
[01:51:48] Full Throttle the motor gets really hot you come off the throttle the motor is still really hot you dig back into the throttle you're expecting a certain amount of power because the motor is hot
[01:52:02] you're not going to get that much power you're going to get a little bit less than that so 236s why a lot of people like those versus 227s is that
[01:52:15] 236 6 12 18 24 pretty close to 23 that is a 4: one ratio that's a motor that's wider more of the motor is in the airf flow and it runs cooler so the 2306 it's a little bit heavier well it's
[01:52:34] actually not heavier because it's less Stater volume it makes significantly less power it weighs a tiny little bit less but it makes a chunk less power so power to weight ratio wise it's worse
[01:52:51] than the 2207 2207 is the king of power to weight ratio for 5in quads but it's not the king of consistency 236s are a much more consistent motor so you get less power most of us don't need
[01:53:08] the amount of power that a 2207 has so 2306 usually has more than enough power for most people it runs cooler and that's going to get you more efficiency and then and so you can
[01:53:23] think the same exact way about little tiny whoop Motors right 803 is even worse than a 2207 in terms of width to height ratio 802 2468 4 to one perfect 702 2 46 8 7 right 3
[01:53:42] and a half to one width to height ratio great 102 2 4 6 8 10 5 to one 102 Motors are almost like a cop motor you ever notice cop Motors are super wide that's because cops are picking up a
[01:54:00] shitload of payload for like a 3-in prop and so the you're having to do a lot of work with a smaller propeller so you make the motor really wide so it stays cool you don't have a great Big 5 in
[01:54:14] prop to make tons of thrust you got a little 3-in prop and so the motor has to work harder so it's important to make the motor wider if you were to take a big wide cop motor and just make it a
[01:54:26] bunch taller it's going to make a shitload more power but now it's going to start to overheat then you got to make it wider again so the the ratio of width to height on the motor is
[01:54:35] really really important and a 102 it stays cool all the time and you can pick up like a pretty heavy payload that's why like my tiny lifters picking up the 26 G insta 360 goto perform
[01:54:51] decent because the 102 motor is nice and wide and it stays cool even though it's picking up something really heavy so there's motor theory for you in five
[01:55:05] minutes cold front and penguin with a $3 Super Chat he says my Dem ass forgot to plug back in the switches that'll do it every single time danilla terrible that is why like I
[01:55:19] sometimes like the first couple times that I explained you're having a problem think backwards in time to when the problem started what happened right before that is what
[01:55:30] caused it like the first couple times I gave that explanation like I felt like I was insulting you guys but then I realized like I myself have made that mistake a whole bunch of goddamn times
[01:55:41] and spent hours and hours and hours like what the [@$#%] is wrong with this and then it's like oh two days ago when it happens it happens when I build [@$#%] tiny whoops I I unplug a set of
[01:55:53] Motors I I take the canopy and the AIO off I put them into a different frame I screw the canopy down and then I put it down on the table I come back to it two days later I put a battery into it and I
[01:56:04] sit here what the [@$#%] was the motor spin for what a piece of [@$#%] I'm in BetaFlight I'm [@$#%] reinstalling blue J it's like no think back what did I do I move the canopy into this Frame
[01:56:17] then what did I do nothing oh look the motors are unplugged right like when I hope you guys don't take offense when I tell you that because I've made that mistake plenty of
[01:56:32] times danzel the turble says they should call it the micro vatti the micro viotti viotti viotti cmk says Oscar leang has a also has a tutorial on making whip antennas
[01:56:46] nice can you H never mind it's that' be easy to whoa wooden props with a $49.99 Super Chat dude incredibly generous thank you he says been busy with work and out of touch for a while
[01:56:58] good to see you on good to see you again and always amazed with the Ciotti vast warehouses of knowledge thank you so much dude I'm clicking the little heart thing dude very very generous man happy
[01:57:09] New Year if you have any other question by all means fire away make sure you tag me though or else I won't see it JM pfpv says I only have three whips floating around thanks for the tutorial
[01:57:26] you're welcome whoever that was I don't know if that I think it was you J B whoever it was that had the active element break off of their whip antenna they always break off right between the insulated part and
[01:57:45] where it actually becomes the the active element those of you that have been around for a while have oh that's pretty much the end of the live stream have seen me prep the
[01:58:00] prep my antennas and here's how I do that this one I did pretty extreme I don't usually do it this extreme but you put a little piece of shrink wrap between that connection point where
[01:58:19] it goes from the active element to the to the uh flip-flops if you have the if you have the ground plane on you can't do that because underneath this the ground plane runs right into the active element
[01:58:41] and so you can only really prep these antennas if you've removed the the ground plane here to make yourself an ultra lightweight antenna and so but if you're going to make the ultra
[01:58:54] lightweight antenna you might as well put a little again I I went a little extreme here this is just rubber shrink wrap it has very little effect on the active element under here in the in
[01:59:05] the base of the antenna here there's metal braid and that completely blocks it so just a little piece of shrink wrap between the the metal braid area and the active element will make it
[01:59:19] a lot stronger cuz it always breaks right at that joint make sense hopefully that makes sense antennas bro wouldn't props thank you again man the endzel the terrible says you don't
[01:59:40] use a cap even on your 6s I do I was talking about small stuff 6s rigs even 4S rigs look if if there's a space to put a capacitor put a capacitor on a one ass tiny whoop there really
[01:59:56] isn't there's really not a good space to put H you could totally jam it up into that canopy but that's a pain in the ass anything like 3s 4s definitely 6s stuff put a capacitor any kind of
[02:00:11] like a traditional drone put a capacitor there's plenty of space in here to put a capacitor it's never going to hurt the situation and there's almost always a little
[02:00:25] bit of extra noise that it might help with yeah capacitors are are great but on these really tight builds where we're trying to save every possible gram don't run one ail says what
[02:00:37] preset do you recommend for a 75mm 2S HD build in BetaFlight none I don't recommend any of the presets well if it's a BMI gyro if if the AIO has a BMI gyro on it I do recommend
[02:00:53] Brandon's baked beans has a very cool filtering setup which I am dropping into the chat right now so there you go there's Brandon's there's Brandon's filtering
[02:01:10] profiles but other than that if if it's not a BMI 270 gyro I don't recommend that you run presets the the presets are designed for a very specific build that is different from your build
[02:01:23] and so immediately most of the presets are not going to work all that well the stock BetaFlight setup is fantastic and if you build with half decent components and if you put it together the right way
[02:01:37] the the stock setting should be absolutely fine so be really careful with those presets a lot of the presets are extra aggressive and that can blow the rig up that can lead to the rig
[02:01:47] flying away just build it and see how it flies and it's probably going to fly really good if you chose good components and just enjoy it no reason to overthink it with all different presets
[02:01:59] unless you're on a BMI 270 JB engineering says I'm looking for a set of 802 19,500 or higher KV there's tons of them brother Weeble tiny woop.com any of the any of the main resellers
[02:02:15] that's easy they're all over the place Co power says the mechanical advantage of a wide motor Bell cannot be underst stered oh boy so we used to talk a lot about wider Motors having more
[02:02:33] mechanical torque which they do but as Chris Rosser proved the advantage in mechanical torque of a wider motor Bell is almost completely eaten up by the disadvantage of putting the heaviest
[02:02:53] part of the motor the magnets farther out and so you like these like Stan FPV made a super wide motor it was like 2604 I think and it was a disaster it was just way way way way way too wide
[02:03:13] and so there's a limit and just making Motors wider and wider and wider is not the answer it's all about this ratio and basically the ratio that you want to stay within is on the low end 3
[02:03:27] to 1 and then on the high end 5 to one so that's why 204s are so popular right 48 12 16 18 close to 20 2104 2005 these are some of the wider Motors that you'll see but anywhere
[02:03:48] from like 3:1 to 4:1 or even 5 to1 or even in some cases 6 to1 that's where you want to be and the the the less wide the better the flight performance can potentially be because the motor is a
[02:04:03] lot lighter and the response time is a lot lighter but if you go too narrow then it might get too hot and then the flight performance goes to hell so if you've got a really narrow motor it's
[02:04:16] going to get too hot and it's going to suck and then so it's going to get better better better better better better better better better and then worse worse worse worse worse wor so you
[02:04:24] got to find that that sweet spot and that sweet spot is completely different for every single different craft and every single different pilot if you fly really fast you're you're asking a lot
[02:04:36] of the motor and that creates a lot of motor heat and so a wider motor is going to be better for you because you are using more throttle and putting more heat into the motor for somebody that
[02:04:46] flies slower they can get away with a smaller motor for a build that's lighter weight you can get away with a narrower motor for a build that's really heavy and fat you want a wider motor because
[02:04:57] you're you're everything you do has to pick up that extra weight and that creates more heat because it eats more power right and so there's there there's this convergence that that happens and
[02:05:08] so this is why there's no such thing as best there's just different and if you hang around here for a while you'll learn this stuff right like even if you're if you're new here and you're not
[02:05:17] picking all of this up tonight come on back Sunday at 300 p.m. we'll talk about some of this stuff again come back Monday night at 10:00 come back Wednesday night at 10:00 if I say like I
[02:05:28] tend to explain this stuff a little bit differently each time so two things will happen repetition will happen you'll hear me explain it and today you understand 20% of it next time you'll
[02:05:39] understand 30% next time you understand 40% also I'll explain it in a different way and all of a sudden you'll be like oh that makes sense for my brain and now you get it so stick around watch a
[02:05:49] bunch of these live streams you'll start to understand this stuff and you'll figure out how to build a rig that fits your specific needs perfectly and flies the best for you that
[02:06:00] is kind of the biggest that's why I started doing this and that's what keeps me excited about continuing to do this is the community of people and the number of people that have
[02:06:21] been able to understand the together we have learned these really confusing Concepts in in FPV and I I did not start these live streams with any intention whatsoever of monetizing them it was
[02:06:40] just I've spent years and years and years figuring this [@$#%] out the hard way and the expensive way I'll be goddamned if everybody else has to do that how can I get this out to as many
[02:06:50] people as possible Joshua was hanging out at my apartment in Charleston he did a live stream at the end of the live stream he was likeyou're really good at this you should maybe think about live
[02:07:01] streaming and I said well [@$#%] if he thinks that then I'd be stupid not to and I started doing it just for total fun and then when I got laid off for my project management job at the
[02:07:13] beginning of the pandemic I was like well here we go let's see what I can make of this and yeah it's been four wild years since Half Baked says RS 802 1.5 mm 20,000 KV ideal for analog 752s
[02:07:29] Beast indeed my friend my absolute favorite 2S 75 mil rig is on 0802 HappyModel 19,000 KV Motors so I'm at an 85% motor limit go to like an 82% motor limit and you'll have pretty much
[02:07:47] exactly this and you'll love it the missing part of the puzzle though at the moment is going to be these tiny whoop 300 Mah 2S batteries they are not in stock they are a big part of the
[02:07:59] magic that is this build so when they come back in make sure you snag a bunch I know I certainly will off axis says you are the goat and we admire you thank you brother couldn't do it without all
[02:08:10] of you this has been a community effort for many years Moss one says just in time great LOL have a good weekend buddy it is 9:10 enjoy the rest of your night my friends I don't know if
[02:08:23] bot I guess I don't think bot's streaming tonight but probably spider sugar and maybe super Delux as well go hang out with those guys tell them Ciotti sent you and Ciotti fv.com is
[02:08:35] my site where you can support me I'm crowdfunded help me keep doing this forever join my patreon do it makes a huge difference here's some more flying from the gig yesterday I didn't
[02:08:46] get to dive into this rig but it's a [@$#%] broken battery lead would you really have learned anything I'll fix it on my time uh strange very very strange your guest is
[02:09:18] as good as mine I'll see you guys Sunday at 3 bye-bye a
