[00:00:27] hey friends I've reinstalled every single thing in the entire world And now it would appear that we are back Just remember if you value your sanity in any way shape or form for the
[00:00:44] love of God don't live stream welcome to Friday fixing the computer and then fixing my sanity and then fixing a WalkSnail 1s65mm tiny whoop this has been my little HD work
[00:01:11] This was my 2024 HD workhorse for chasing the little RC drift cars and other stuff I put hundreds of batteries through this and then towards the end of the year when the RC drift car place changed
[00:01:29] locations and I didn't fly this for a while for no good reason the ESC just packed up and died very very weird let me let me show you the symptoms That'll be fun won't
[00:01:48] it so transmitter coming on And now you're just gonna Here we go You're just going to listen It's going to be an an audible thing in theory hold on Let me throw a couple more
[00:02:07] batteries in the charger here This is gonna be a late stream We're gonna stream for two hours but it is now 8 o'clock Eastern So I'm gonna bleed all over the the other streamers on
[00:02:18] Friday night I apologize in advance but isn't that weird that's it That's all we get and there's nothing No no motor nothing No beeps It's it
[00:02:46] dead OSD works video works Everything works But the ESC just packed it up And now check this out So let's hook up and we're going to go into Blue J
[00:03:06] So if if it were like a separate ESC flight controller we would take a look at the we would take a look at the cable between the the ESC and the flight controller and there'd probably be a
[00:03:21] break in that cable but this is an AIO and so there ain't much we can really do but we're going to go to escigurator.com We're going to click connect and then we're going to click read settings I've
[00:03:36] got a battery plugged in I've got it plugged into I've got it plugged into USB and it's just dead man it's just it's just done It like there's there's nothing
[00:03:50] there The lights are on but nobody's home man I've this is new I I've I've never had this I've never had this exact experience before Very very very weird just out of sheer morbid curiosity let's launch
[00:04:11] old school BL and I'm going to pull the battery I'm going to unplug it from USB I don't even know if old school BLHL will launch I haven't I haven't launched it in 100
[00:04:24] days or nights Looks it's about as slow to launch as BetaFlight So that's interesting Sure You can have access to what oh it just gave up Oh there it
[00:04:46] is All right plugging I just tried to plug the computer's USB cable into the BC 2.0 plug That was interesting feeding it power connect read setup Nothing Just
[00:05:12] nothing Nobody's home reading setup finished It's just done dude Like I I'm so confused But not a whole lot you can do like with an AIO there like this is it You put power to it's either
[00:05:35] works or it doesn't and in this case it doesn't I think it I I think it links up to BetaFlight if I remember correctly Let's let's take a look here Let's patiently wait for BetaFlight to take
[00:05:54] forever to start up super weird I'm assuming I'm hoping I'm pretty sure that the that the VTX is still working BetaFlight Yep Everything's fine in Beta
[00:06:20] Flight QuadX model needs four motor resources Current configuration provides zero usable outputs Wait a second Could this be a resource issue hold on Now well I mean hold on Hold
[00:06:41] on Let me just see real quick here Let's just see that of course is not going to be boy it's been a long time since I did this Get resource Is that it nope Get R
[00:06:59] E S man I forget how we used to pull up those Ah there it is Just type resource No look the resources are all in here They're all still there BO4 BO5 BO6 BO7 I was thinking maybe those got like
[00:07:24] wiped out or something Super weird stuff man Let's Let's do this since this AIO is is go kind of going in the garbage can Anyway MWJS unexpectedly quit That's
[00:07:38] great Good job idiots let's type diff I don't trust those those backup files there We're going to type def diff We're going to highlight all this I'm going to copy it into the
[00:07:52] clipboard And we are going to update the firmware Let's see what happens here Flash firmware Ignore the risk Here we go Oh well I don't need the battery plugged in And that'll power down the
[00:08:14] BTX Kevin Summer says "Poor one out for our ESC homie." Kevin Summer says "Spider Sugar isn't streaming that." Oh cool Shouldn't feel too badly about running over I think Super Lux starts 9 or 10
[00:08:44] o'clock our time Sweet All right Programming successful Connect Calibrate the accelerometer just to shut it up Although it's going to get overwritten in a second when I dump this
[00:09:01] diff in here CLI Paste all the things Look for red text No red text Save So we should be back where we were And so here we go Coming in here Nope Still don't have the last two
[00:09:23] beeps Weirdest failure I've ever had Quadex needs four it's just blown up It just grenaded What is NWJS go to hell NWJS I don't I don't like you ESC configurator Well no We have to
[00:09:44] disconnect from here first Connect Read settings She dead Trying to read zero ESC's She dead NWJS is the framework Oh no [@$#%] So I don't get it but there's nothing else
[00:10:09] that I can really do We reinstalled BetaFlight That didn't do [@$#%] Can't reinstall ESC configurator It's just it's just done So if if anybody wants this AIO if anybody wants
[00:10:21] to dig deeper into this I'll send it to you for five bucks which is what shipping costs let me know But because it's I I it did not like I did not slam it into something
[00:10:33] and it stopped working it's just committed suicide all on its own And so I it's in theory all of the chips and whatnot are still working but she
[00:10:52] did So we are going to take this off of here why is this so out of focus what What is your deal here you can go ahead and focus on like the one thing please Wow Did you see it it
[00:11:15] like it pushed focus and then it just picked the complete wrong It's just picking the complete wrong Wow Everything is so bad All the things are so worthless all the time
[00:11:33] where's the terrible Logitech software i guess I'm not using the Logitech software anymore I'm using Camo Studio Let's see if Let's see if we can force this to Well there we go Autofocus dead wrong
[00:11:52] Manual focus dialed in All right let me see what happens when I quit Camo Studio Looks like it keeps running Don't Don't autofocus Good Good It's running the exposure
[00:12:13] algorithm but it's not autofocusing That's what I want All right So let's dive in Fractically says "I think the desktop camera is getting a reflection off one of the shiny chips."
[00:12:28] Interesting All right So away we go I'm gonna put a I've been putting these awesome little Tiny Whoop 180 degree BT 2.0 LED jib jabs on all the builds And this one is no different I'm going to
[00:12:50] put a red one on here because we're going with a red theme I found a set of 30,000 KV0702s that I'm going to put on here in the search for all the run time So that should be interesting I
[00:13:08] might reuse these little battery leads here Let me see if they need to be shortened up a little bit or if they're perfect So we're going to put a battery in here
[00:13:22] I'm tempted to set this up like the other ones and run it backwards but I don't think I'm going to cool So these battery leads are the perfect length So I'm going to cut this
[00:13:36] ah I won't cut this up I'll just use it as a guide I'll I'll run some fresh wires speaking of I have some in here Let me just grab one of them And so this will be good
[00:13:54] Get out of there Come on Oh my god So I got the I got the massive six quad [@$#%] out of this house this morning I got it almost all the way done so a company called Airsight hired me
[00:14:16] to they contacted me through Fiverr and they said "Hey we need someone to build us drones to test our FPV drones to test our counter measures on They're they're a company that makes
[00:14:30] drone countermeasures which I'm actually okay with I don't want some [@$#%] flying a [@$#%] Mavic into a stadium and hitting someone i want a company to have a product to take that idiot down
[00:14:43] and take their drone and find out who they are and throw them in jail forever because stop doing dumb stuff with drones and so they have been a bit of a challenge mainly because they don't
[00:15:03] listen And so I tell them exactly what the best way to do this to save money and they say "Oh okay okay okay." And then they ask me the same question or they just completely ignore
[00:15:16] it and so it's been it's been kind of tough but I've been fighting through it and I ended up having so they they they told me that they wanted to have one of every so I explained to them that
[00:15:36] they need to Christopher Conrite says don't be that guy What do you mean by that they I I explained to them that there's 900 megahertz there's 2.4 there's 5.8 and then within each one of
[00:15:57] those there's a whole bunch of different companies that make Tracer and ELRS and Crossfire and yada yada yada and so I said we probably just have
[00:16:13] to build three One with 900 one with 5.8 one with 2.4 and then we we put three different transmitter links on them And they said they said "Well no we we want to make sure that we can
[00:16:29] cover all of them so we we want you to do one with every single one." the guy that does dumb [@$#%] with drones and I said "Okay that's probably overkill but like if that's what you
[00:16:42] want I'll figure that out." and so it ended up being six I I I figured it all out like 900 Crossfire 900 ELRS900 ELRS 2.4 I stopped it at six right like I could have kept going And I could have kept
[00:16:58] going to like FR Sky and weird like 1.3 GHz video and all this super strange [@$#%] but I stopped it at six and so six different builds all with different transmitter links all of the most
[00:17:13] popular ones all with different video systems all of the most popular ones and I had 533 build them all of those joints because I I just I I could not there was just no way that I was going
[00:17:25] to build six rigs all with different [@$#%] and so 533 built them all which was awesome And then they shipped them to me And then I had this company buy I made them a big shopping list and I
[00:17:40] had them buy HD0ero goggles WalkSnail goggles goggles 2 for 04 and 03 right analog goggles yada yada yada And then I had them buy a Radio Master boxer and all of the modules
[00:18:01] bunch of lithium ion batteries and all this stuff And then they sent me all that stuff 533 finished building the drone sent me all the drones and then so I just had to
[00:18:16] get everything bound get everything configured I had to change the the low battery warnings for the silly lithium ion batteries That was interesting and then I took them all
[00:18:28] out and flew them all And that was like my entire week I poured like 30 something hours into that this week over the course of Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday many many late nights lots of
[00:18:46] problems One of them was old school DJI Vista with their old school link I think it's a 2.4 link but I don't even know all going through an air unit I I kind of screwed up I I didn't realize
[00:19:04] I just said to 533 that I wanted it to be the the old school DJI link with Sbus and for some reason they took that to mean old school air unit I thought they were just going to put a Vista in
[00:19:17] there but they didn't They crammed an old school air unit into the flip switch which didn't doesn't really fit all that well A Vista would have fit perfectly but I guess that's my bad I didn't
[00:19:29] specify that I wanted it on a Vista I I I just like I said I just didn't think about it I I I didn't even consider that they would that they would do that with a
[00:19:41] with a an old school air unit rather than a Vista But I mean whatever Like it works It's double antennas It's got onboard DVR Kind of interesting but kind of unnecessary And
[00:19:54] I think they had a hard time finding one of those old school air units too so I I kind of feel bad about that cuz they didn't need to but other than that so I the here's a here's a
[00:20:08] completely insane fact that no one will ever need to know Ever ever ever ever ever ever goggles 2 If you put the most recent firmware onto those they will work with the old
[00:20:28] school DJI system Vistas they will work with Vistas and old school air units If you take that stupid box old school black DJI controller and you put the newest firmware on it
[00:20:45] well any firmware I guess it will connect to an old school air unit If you do those two things at the same time it doesn't work You can either bind the old school black transmitter or you
[00:21:05] can bind the goggles too but you cannot bind them both at the same time luckily though unbelievably I've got a set of old school DJI V1 goggles for sale on my Etsy store I
[00:21:23] had a set of old school DJI goggles available on my Etsy store I've now sold them to this company so and so I took those goggles out bound them up to it good to go immediately Just
[00:21:35] like right away So weird So so so so weird There's something about the old black box DJI transmitter that it for some reason it just will not work with the goggles too Super weird
[00:21:52] man That took me took me well over an hour to figure out And there was no documentation anywhere about that because nobody's ever done that because nobody uses that stupid old DJI
[00:22:04] transmitter so that was that was interesting but got it figured out and away I went And so they they five out of six got shipped out today the sixth one which is HD0
[00:22:22] ghost I get FPV does this weird thing every once in a while where the the I it's weird like you'll have a link to their website and then you'll revisit that link and instead of going directly
[00:22:40] to the product page where that link initially drove to the link will go to a page that has that item but another item in addition to that one and that happened with the ghost module And so it
[00:22:58] went to a page that had the full-size ghost module and the micro ghost module And they must have looked at those two and said "Oh look the cheap one Let's get that one." And so that micro module
[00:23:11] doesn't work with the Radio Master boxer And so that quad is still here I need them They've been doing the thing again where they don't read my emails They just reply to them with a weird reply I
[00:23:25] need them to read the email that I'm sending them explaining this and saying "I need to know if you want me to buy the full-size module and put it on your invoice or if you're going to buy it and
[00:23:36] have it sent to me." so I will keep trying to get them to read my email super challenging working with this company I I had a feeling it was going to be like this but I saw the dollar signs
[00:24:00] and here we are And so keep in mind that people that don't know anything about FPV are tough They're they're tough to work with it's very difficult even if they're a company that seems to
[00:24:21] know what they're doing in the space it doesn't matter FPV is a whole different thing All right So we're getting the Omniixo in position here what I need to do is I'm going to reuse these wires
[00:24:38] going from the VTX to the AIO well first things I'm gonna I'm going to remove this first and I'm going to take a quick picture with my phone
[00:24:51] because that will show me where the wires go Not really where the wires go but just which No where the wires go which pads they go to All right cool I used to do that all the time and then
[00:25:09] I started relying on you guys to type it into the chat which is kind of insane Nerd goggles going on Get you some nerd goggles friends Be able to see what the hell
[00:25:20] you're doing if you want better quality work It is the main It is the number one thing that has improved the quality of my soldering is the old nerd goggles And so we got a little bit of flux there
[00:25:35] a little bit of flux here a little bit of flux here and then this other pad is like all up on that rubber grommet And so I basically just flux the rubber grommet but that's okay Let's
[00:25:50] come in here with tweezers to pull these wires off I'm going to do a little bit of this and then I'm going to take a break get caught back up on the chat Kevin Summer says "Car question What adhesive
[00:26:03] do I need to glue mirror glass back on its mount?" If you're gluing your rear view mirror to the windshield there's like a really aggressive adhesive that you need to get they sell a kit at
[00:26:16] the at all the car parts stores Just get that It should work totally fine But that's actually tough The those rearview mirrors are they love falling off the windshield Once they
[00:26:31] fall off the windshield once it can be a bit of a nightmare They can sort of want to fall off for the rest of their lives Come on Come on There we go Eddie's behind me just chomping away on
[00:26:53] his paw There he is There he is The real star of the show What are you eating buddy you eating your foot is your foot How's your foot tasting little
[00:27:13] friend how's your foot he's getting fluffy again man Thank God I was legitimately starting to love him less Let's just be honest I had been I don't know my
[00:27:32] brain I had I I I loved him less I had been loving him less I had I love I still love him He's still a good dog What is this i'm hitting the wrong buttons All right got the right
[00:27:53] button okay GNB is no longer shipping batteries to the US Thanks Trump can we all start remember Thanks Obama why have we not started doing thanks Trump why is that not like already a
[00:28:15] thing can Can someone explain it to me why are we not screaming that from the goddamn rooftops yet all right so let's let's measure this out Is it because it's just
[00:28:29] understood is that the deal this is 20 gauge I don't want 20 gauge I want 22 crap I'm glad that I saw that Cole Powers He knows Oh boy 10 out of 10 my
[00:29:02] friend 10 out of 10 It's not it's just it's just so easy it's so easy to see the actual truth nowadays like there's no digging required
[00:29:19] Like it's just it's all right there It's so [@$#%] obvious And yet and yet brutal man Brutal Okay The the reason why I had set aside some 20 gauge cable here is when I was hellbent on trying to make
[00:29:46] the 1S75 millimeter rigs work and one of the things that Butterfly FPV said is that 20 gauge w since they're those motors are drawing more current 20 gauge wire would help and I tried it
[00:30:01] and I didn't see a difference That doesn't mean there wasn't a difference but I gave it a shot Here we go There's a there's a little 22 gauge action And then I'm going to put these
[00:30:16] 20s back in here And all will be right with the world again Only it's not It's all falling apart and the idiots that think that they're going to be able to blast
[00:30:31] themselves off to Mars and recolonize there away from us Terrible liberals that just want people to live better lives are the ones destroying it But you
[00:30:46] know we're the idiots We're the idiots We want everyone to be able to live their lives happy and healthy but we're the trash people Right It's us We're the We're the bad
[00:31:09] ones Teddy you're the bad one Kevin Kevin Summer says "Have you seen the I did that Trump sticker like Biden when they suck it?" Yep Yep Yep Yep Yep Yep Yep There should be
[00:31:24] I did that stickers on every single price tag in the country right now dog what are you doing down there render says that's cuz the old school DJI transmitter has the HDMI or video
[00:31:37] out Huh they don't want you doing video out so bad I I don't know why it is It was super weird Super weird issue Skull 91 says "Would somebody make a DJI module for Fat Sharks?" Dude that would
[00:31:46] be rad Benny Bravo says "What do you think about the new Box Goggle Pro by HD0ero?" they seem pretty good They all of the reviews that I saw were like "Yo these are the truth." and I
[00:32:05] believe the reviewers Teddy this is getting to be a bit much This is This is a lot friend This is a lot You are being quite disruptive I'm gonna be honest with you because I respect you Teddy I don't
[00:32:25] I don't respect him I'm just saying that Luckily he doesn't know English so I'm going to measure these out real quick here and then cut some glip flops All right So we're going to be
[00:32:38] roughly here So And then the other lead is going to be just a little bit longer it looks like Yep the other lead's just going to be a little bit longer So I'm just going
[00:32:58] to eyeball it I'm going to put that there and then cut these like this There's a chance that I'm cutting these a little bit too short but that's okay
[00:33:16] Look at him He's so pissed He's like "What you jerk." Oh fart I don't know which AO is which This is the bad one This is the bad one Oh god I have to change the grommets out
[00:33:31] Oh farts All right Well I'm going to take a break and do mailbag but I want to get a little bit more of this done just stripping these wires real quick here Remember to
[00:33:48] now that the now that the camera is less wide angle I got to remember to hold things up here that I'm doing Don't strip wires like this unless you've done it 11 billion times
[00:34:04] Otherwise you'll nick the the strands of wire and you don't want to do that That's a bad thing Don't do bad things use your fingernails But I've been extremely anxious and I have no
[00:34:20] fingernails right now My my fingers are a complete disaster as they usually are But they're especially disastrous right now You guys can't even see anything You're just waiting for Teddy to come
[00:34:38] back Look at him Look at him Look what a nuisance he's being Stop it Back up Back up dog Look at him Oh I love this dog so much I'm gonna eat them Why do we want to destroy
[00:35:03] things all right back to actually working on stuff The Omniixo makes tinning wires a breeze Why is this stuck to this though let's get this over here There we go Teddy Spaghetti what are you up to fuzzy
[00:35:22] boy all right cleaning the tip of the soldering iron This is the best way to tin wires You put a little blob of solder on the top of the soldering iron tip Here we
[00:35:38] go You bring that solder ball up onto the wire You add a little bit of solder in between the wire and the ball And then you push solder through the individual strands of
[00:35:57] wire That is sort of the cheat code to doing this Give it a second to get the wire hot And then you push the solder from the other side of the strands So the tip of the soldering iron is going to be on
[00:36:12] the bottom of the wire You're going to push the little blob of solder up You're going to use your extra solder to push down on the individual strands Once the heat gets in there you'll be able to
[00:36:24] push it through and away you go my ongoing saga with USPS is finally over And I'm going to tell you about when we do mailbag I'm going to tell you about what happens when you redirect a
[00:36:44] package You should never ever ever ever ever redirect a package unless you absolutely have to because it is a disaster Their their process is so dumb Last wire Solder ball Give it a second There
[00:37:02] we go All right Don't clean the soldering iron Just put it away I have run out of solder So let's pull another bunch Cut it off And now here's the best thing that you can do Take your
[00:37:25] little wrench with a nice big handle Wrap it around Make a little coil Ah no There we go Coil it up Push it together Stick this up Take it
[00:37:46] off Now you got a bunch of solder And it stands up So you can drop the tip of the soldering iron down on it Or you can pick it up like a little handle and put the solder where you need it Do
[00:38:00] it All right So these wires are tinned And stop it Why does everything keep sticking to the Omniixo why does everything that's non-magnetic keep sticking to the Omniixo that's weird
[00:38:16] Usually it's just magnetic stuff Every Day with Bruno says "How do you feel about the companies that already jacked all the prices up?" I I I don't blame him I don't blame him for a
[00:38:27] second Thanks a lot Trump You [@$#%] like all of our lives are getting significantly worse and him and his idiot friends are making tons of money and yet there's still a large segment of
[00:38:44] this country that's going "Yeah it's great Everything's going great." Are you high how high are you how high do you have to be to think that anything is going great right now how dumb are you
[00:38:59] what are you smoking that makes you able to say that because I've never seen that drug I need a BT2 All right So I'm going to solder when you solder to little tiny connectors like this BT 2.0
[00:39:16] never never never never never Just solder directly to it Well what i'm just soldering to the PDB I'll probably be okay I'll be all right Never mind if you do ever like when I
[00:39:26] soldered this to the little PCB here I made sure that I had the the other end plugged in If you don't do that the little pins will get all and then you won't be able to plug batteries in
[00:39:40] but I'll be fine because I'm just jacking into the into the PCB here I might not be fine I might ruin this but we'll give it a shot So this is kind of tough
[00:39:56] because we're going to be working in like the same spot We're going to be [@$#%] where we eat basically That's not it at all it's tight It's tight in here These are both black
[00:40:12] wires which is a terrible idea but the ground needs to be a little bit longer So two wires and round is ground on BT 2.0 So we got two wires here One of them is going to be a little bit longer
[00:40:31] So that's this one So this one's ground and the round is on the right side So we're going up from the bottom And so we're going to take one of these other little Omniixo
[00:40:44] arms and we're going to clamp the wire down here And so here you can see what the hell I'm doing Right So we got this other little Omniixo down here holding the wire and
[00:40:58] then that wire is poking up there this is one of the greatest things about the Omniixo that you can do this kind of stuff with it and the little jaws on it they close nice and flat And so
[00:41:13] now the wire is perfectly up there the the insulation is pushed up against the the flip-flop and we're good to go I can now like pick this up and tilt it and see what it looks like I'm not quite
[00:41:26] happy with it I just want to make sure that that is being pushed upwards And there we go That's looking really good That just made my life so much easier Like this is a weird little
[00:41:42] soldering job Let's add a little bit of flux here And now I got to fix it because I just smashed this into the thing this is a weird little soldering job but the the Omniixo is just the
[00:41:54] absolute perfect tool for this And now this is going to be an easy soldering job Like without the Omniixo with like a regular helping hands or trying to do this just like on your desk surface this
[00:42:05] would be a pain in the ass and you would probably not get very good results to be super honest And so now everything is held in position So it's like a joke for me I just have to bring the heat in And
[00:42:19] then so I'm going to move the work to me That's going to that ain't going to want to focus properly I can't say I blame it for not focusing properly on this In this case this is a hard
[00:42:32] situation to focus So I'm going to do it up I'm going to do it from up here because that being blurry is not going to do you any good But this is now good to go I can rotate the OmniFixo
[00:42:43] because it's lightweight Bring the soldering iron in on the right Fresh solder on the left Be patient to let the pad heat up There it goes It just flowed to the pad Remove the heat All is right with
[00:43:01] the world And now we've got just a super strong super clean joint with the silicone all the way up against the all the way up against the PCB and a nice shiny ball up on top
[00:43:24] that's flowing down properly to the there's actually a little bit too much solder but I would rather have a little bit too much than not quite enough And so now we're going to do the
[00:43:37] other side which is positive in this case And so there we go Put the wire in Take the other a farts Take the other Omniixo while I'm holding this wire in here Just put my thumb
[00:43:57] there Take it Grab it Get the other one out of there Get out of there There we go Take it Grab it Push up on it a little bit Make sure the wire is kind of in the right spot Just like
[00:44:16] that Well there you go That'll make much more sense I also put in a an Amazon return for both OWC enclosures they were both defective right out of the box and I said "You know what i'm gonna
[00:44:35] get another one of these $26 enclosures that has just worked for years and years and years and so I've got another dumpy little white $26 toaster looking enclosure coming because out
[00:44:51] of a $60 and $150 enclosure that was the one that just worked and that's all I really care about at this point I don't know what OWC's deal is A bunch of people said they've had good experiences
[00:45:05] with them but both enclosures that I got from them had separate and different problems which I confirmed with their text They they wanted to do an RMA and I just said "You know what man like I'm
[00:45:21] I'm out Like sorry but like I hope you can understand." And he was like "Yeah I guess so." I'm like "I just You had two chances You had two chances to get me one working enclosure but instead you
[00:45:36] sent me two that don't And so what that's a bit much soldering iron on one side Bringing a little bit of solder in here Not too much Oh farts They bridged To break the bridge we're gonna
[00:45:57] put the All right So now that they're bridged both wires are going to get hot and try to fall out And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to clamp down on both of these
[00:46:10] wires in the Omniixo down here And then I'm going to push upwards a little bit So move this down And then I'm just going to push upwards on the wires a little bit That way they're not going to
[00:46:22] go anywhere And so now all I'm going to do is hit this with a little bit of flux I'm going to put this the tip of the soldering iron in between this joint And then I'm going to swipe outwards And
[00:46:36] that should take a little bit of the solder with it Clean the tip of the soldering iron so that there's no extra solder on it Solder flows towards the heat And so by flicking outwards the
[00:46:47] solder is going to want to come with the soldering iron Ready it's easier to break bridges than you'd think Heat it up and flick away And that actually broke the bridge I got a little bit of
[00:46:59] solder on here I'm going to clean it off but I want to take a little bit more of the solder So same deal Go in between Flick outwards Each time you do that it's going to take a
[00:47:11] little bit of solder with it Let's do it one more time I could certainly come in here with the solder wick and then rework the whole damn thing but this just works super
[00:47:21] well Heat them both up Flick outwards And now we're looking really good So that removed enough solder that I can very clearly see that there's no bridge at all between them And so now
[00:47:40] it actually looks really really nice And so that's me reworking it three times Look how good it will it looks after reworking it three times That's because I used enough flux on there That I could
[00:47:52] remove a little bit more from the right side but the left side is absolutely perfect And so I'm going to stop here There's not so much extra solder on the right side that I'm
[00:48:06] concerned And so now we're good to go The silicone insulation is right up against the PCB The slightly longer one is round Round is ground And all is right with the world So we're going to solder that
[00:48:23] up to this This is the new AIO that I'm going to be using here So let's get this in here Get a couple of these guys clamped down Trying not to clamp down on the ELRS antenna
[00:48:43] here Just move that up and out of the way All right cool And so first thing is going to be to remove the existing one And it looks like there's a whole bunch of flux still
[00:48:54] on there So let's just go in there dry See what happens we're good Plenty of leftover flux Okay One leftover flux It looks it's like amber It almost looks like a resin
[00:49:18] And if there's a bunch of it there there's really no need to add more You should probably actually remove it with a toothbrush and some ISO but you can also
[00:49:36] just kind of like reuse it essentially is is what I did there All right So I'm going to these holes both have solder in them These holes both have solder in them I could either remove that solder
[00:49:50] and then have the naked holes put the wire in and solder it by top from the top rather or since I've done this a whole bunch of times One of the things that I have pretty good luck doing is
[00:50:04] putting this thing on its side like this and then just bringing the tip of the soldering iron in sort of blindly Like my head is on this side so this doesn't always work but I've gotten
[00:50:16] pretty good at this bring the tip of the soldering iron in blindly When I hit the pad I'll see the I'll see the the the solder on the bottom here go liquid It's kind of why this is hard to
[00:50:29] do and then I can just push the wire in there So I'm going to give that a quick try I might not I I can't I don't I'm not always successful with this but it's worth a quick shot And so we're gonna
[00:50:45] move [@$#%] around a little bit We're gonna get in position Round is ground So that's that wire Okay So I'm gonna feed it in Let's give this a
[00:50:59] try The the worry here is that you push the tip of the soldering iron up against a component that you don't want to put it up against So you have to like I don't know man I've just I've done this
[00:51:12] so many times I think I'll be all right The other thing you can do is like move your head onto the onto the other side Look at what you're doing Get it lined up on top of the pad that you want to put it
[00:51:26] down on Put it down onto it like so I'm putting it down into the through hole And then you can kind of lock it into the through hole And so it's in there
[00:51:44] And there we go All set Right And so the reason why that works is that you've got your through hole right and then so you put the tip of the soldering iron down and then it
[00:52:01] like it like locks in there See what I mean like so this it'll go like this and then when the solder melts it'll lock and then you're good And then you can just leave it there Bring your
[00:52:11] head to the other side feed the wire through You'll feed the wire through and it'll push into this You'll feel it stop And then you give it another split second remove the heat and then you can
[00:52:23] push it the rest of the way through so that the the silicone butts up against the butts up against the the AIO That one was that pad was a little bit farther in Now I'm going to do it on
[00:52:37] the pad that's more on the outside And this is going to be even easier you got to have nerd goggles to do that because you have to be able to see what the hell you're doing so now here's
[00:52:48] the other one The positive pad is right on the edge So I don't even need to move my head onto the other side I can just like see it I can just see where the where the
[00:53:01] tip of the soldering iron is And then you're also going going to want to do this by hand because you need to sort of feel the wire as it goes through So I can see the tip of the soldering iron
[00:53:14] now right and then I can just trace it right in And then there's the pad I saw it go liquid Push the wire up Give it a second And then push it the rest of the way And that's it
[00:53:31] And now that gives you a really really clean result here And so where the hell are we there we go There's the two nice little balls And if we look on the bottom you'll see
[00:53:47] that the silicone is all the way up against the AIO Here I'll show you on this side There you go So that's going to be super strong There's not that there's not that little
[00:54:04] area of in of individual strands of wire that's going to fold and fold and break and break and break and break and break You've got the silicone right up there So the wire is going to bend
[00:54:15] with the silicone and this is going to be a very strong little connection point here and then what I like to do is just start Give it like a little give it a little helping hand there Just bend it over a
[00:54:33] little bit to give the wires that sort of memory How did I have that on the other one did I have it going above got that going above And then it plugs in There we
[00:54:53] go All right Sweet so now I got to deal with these goddamn grommets and that annoys me So let's take a little break for I already opened the box but this is the package that I've been
[00:55:29] struggling to get from USPS for an entire week Hold on I threw the box across the room and that was stupid Hold on Let me grab the box I got to show you something All right so six months ago
[00:55:48] Bob Rugie sent me the files for 5-in glide arms and 7in glide arms and he said "Do whatever you want I'm I I'm trying my best to get them made but it's a nightmare."
[00:56:00] and Ryan Harold friend of mine that I met at Quad Camp way back when who runs Mini Quad Test Bench he's got a little tiny CNC router that he cuts carbon fiber for this is how he
[00:56:16] tests frames that he designs And so I sent him the files I said "Yo any interest in doing this?" he said "Absolutely." I told him that I wanted 6 millimeter thick carbon fiber for the
[00:56:31] 7in arms and regular 5mm thick for the for the 5-in arms He's like "Cool I don't have either." but if you buy the sheets I'll cut them for you Awesome Bought the sheets almost $200 in carbon
[00:56:45] and then the 6 mm carbon broke the broke the tip on his CNC router and he got super busy and it just kind of fell by the wayside for a while He got his stuff back up and running he was able
[00:57:04] to fix that that issue and get these cut for me hey mailed them to my old address by accident and then I told him "Shit that's an apartment It's not no guarantee that I'll be able to ever get
[00:57:19] it." So he put in a USPS redirect which is a terrible idea and you should never do it And I'll show you why So he sends it out originally with a tracking number that's here When they do the
[00:57:35] redirect it gets a different tracking number that I don't have access to Ryan doesn't have access to and nobody at USPS seems to understand that that's what happens It also gets a different
[00:57:50] address The address that it gets is the post office's address So then what happens is I receive no notification whatsoever Ryan tracks the his original tracking number and on USPS's website it says
[00:58:10] being held for pickup at Lawrenceville Post Office I go into the post office with the only tracking number that I have this old tracking number that they've basically taped
[00:58:22] over They look through all their [@$#%] they can't find it They ask me what my address is what my name is They look through all the [@$#%] They can't find it because they [@$#%] taped over it with
[00:58:32] this new [@$#%] mailing label they say "Come back on Monday It's probably in the truck being delivered." I go back in there on obviously it doesn't get delivered I go back in there
[00:58:47] on Tuesday Do the whole thing again Oh we don't understand what's your name and number we'll call you back No nobody calls I go in there again on Friday Same thing We don't know where it is It looks
[00:58:58] like you signed for it I definitely didn't sign for it's says right here that you signed for it's says right there that last Friday at 5:00 a.m it got here Are you opened at 5:00 a.m i
[00:59:09] certainly wasn't in here at 5:00 a.m Give us your name and number We'll call you As I'm driving home with my phone on silent they call me and leave a message we found it's here All awesome I
[00:59:21] call them back when I get home we found it I said "You know you guys are like 20 minutes away from me." They're like "That's cool We'll have it delivered to you tomorrow." Perfect
[00:59:32] Guess what the following Tuesday I go back in there We can't find it's looks like you signed for it There's nothing we can do I start to get upset Give us your name That's Tuesday of this week Give us your
[00:59:46] name and number We'll call you when we find it Today nobody called Go figure Nobody had called me I go in there today Please please please find this Please They look around They can't find
[01:00:01] it Give us your name and number We'll call you when we find it I start driving away They call me Turn around We found it I turned right around Go in
[01:00:14] there And I now have it so if you ever have to do a redirect don't just don't do it But if you do do the redirect understand that there's a chance that they're going to tape over
[01:00:29] your address and your tracking number is going to change I don't know why we as the customers need to know this but apparently we do Unreal But I now
[01:00:56] have I now have four sets of dead cat 7in glide cinnlide arms and eight sets of 5-in glide arms I will probably not hoard all eight of these but
[01:01:17] I don't know I don't know what I'm gonna do The the the carbon fiber sheets are really expensive here if you are a diehard old school now this is the old school glide man This ain't the new
[01:01:32] fancy glide This is the OG glide If you're if you're an OG Glide person and you haven't been able to get arms from FPV Cycle I will probably sell you some of these but it's ain't going to
[01:01:46] be cheap because I want to try to get cuz the the sheets were cheap let me know if you're you're desperate for glide arms Bob keeps telling me that he's going to get more he's going to get
[01:01:59] more of the old school glide arms and I haven't been looking So maybe they're in stock right now but if they're not I've got them Motors frames They're probably going to be in
[01:02:18] frames it's not the glide floss You better not have taken it off his website Glide arm there we go Oh wait Wait what why looks it's in stock doesn't it okay Looks like they're in stock I don't
[01:02:41] know why it says notify when available but I'm assuming it says notify when available Okay So they are in stock All right So you don't need them You can get them from Bob
[01:02:52] I'll probably put like one or two sets of these up on my Etsy store just in case you absolutely need them the 7in arms one set is for Patrick and I don't
[01:03:09] know somebody might have called another set of these so I'm going to hold off but I'm very excited because I can finally use the glass fiber nylon whatever the hell it is glass nylon fiber nylon
[01:03:29] glass fiber 7035 GemFan props that I got a big bag of and these Emacs 280700 I'm going to moto lipid these down 1700 KV I got these motors so that I can also run five and a half
[01:03:54] GemFan has a 5550 52 propeller 5.5 in 52 pitch I got these in 1700 KV so that I can turn that propeller back in time and so I've just been waiting for these So the Cinnaglide shall fly again
[01:04:20] It's had these pivy little brother hobby avenger 257 I'm getting [@$#%] old man I can't read that 1850 KV 257 1850 KV I might take these motors off and put them onto the
[01:04:47] put them onto the Razerback which will make me sad because the Razerback is like supposed to be red and white but I want to go stupidly fast with this And that's a bigger motor
[01:05:02] than these FPV cycle What are they 256s Well 25 millimeter 2150 KV These are These are higher KV though I don't know I got to I got to put this thing in the air and see how these
[01:05:17] props are on a really pitchy see how these motors are on a really pitchy prop but there's some some 5 in shenanigans coming This guy is good to go I got the the ESC put into it and
[01:05:29] then I I hovered it and did some throttle blips out back and it didn't drop an arm like it was previously So it's not the flight controller The ESC is good the problem was the the
[01:05:42] previous ESC that I put in which is one that I grabbed from Joshua Bardwell that he was taking out because it was blown up and then I just forgot I a couple years went by and I forgot that that's
[01:05:55] why I grabbed it or that that that was the situation that I grabbed it in so this is now good to go And then so we'll get the Cinnaglide back up And well I mean it's
[01:06:09] Cinnagglide actually runs this thing is good to go This was actually initially built as a live broadcast rig If I needed to do live broadcast with no props in view this was the sort
[01:06:21] of the deal I'm now moving to 03 and 04 for the live broadcast stuff So this doesn't really I wonder if I'd be able to fit an 03 in here If I can fit an 03 in here th this does have some value still so
[01:06:40] I'll see about that because I do have an 03 floating around here but I'm going to put big ass arms on this thing big ass motors and send it to the effing moon Oh and and
[01:06:51] I've got a Can I sling a I can sling a battery on the bottom of this I'm gonna top and bottom mount batteries I think on this and then use this little jib jab to flip-flop the King
[01:07:09] Kong the other thing that this is good for is hot swapping You can you can leave this on there and then just leave the one empty Plug your battery into this Go fly Take a battery
[01:07:24] at storage voltage Put it on here Take this battery off Put a fresh battery on And the damn thing won't power down so you won't lose your your connection with whatever you're
[01:07:38] connected to Kind of cool Very exciting man I've been wanting to do the the seveninch arm thing on this in for forever are these the No So these are the smaller versions These are the
[01:07:53] 5152s These big paddly bastards The the 5552s are the exact same they're the exact same profile They look like [@$#%] ores on a ship in the same way but they're 5.5 in long So I'm
[01:08:11] hoping that these ridiculous 2807 1700s at 100% will send this thing through space and time Clean build man Clean build because I've only flown it like three
[01:08:28] times the 8mm glide is super interesting I don't I barely fly 5 inch anymore though so I haven't I haven't put one together but maybe I will one of these days Probably not I'm like completely
[01:08:45] fine with the old school glides the old school glides are my jam And so it's all good Look at this gangly thing It's going to be so much more gangly with these big old arms Look at how
[01:08:58] thick this carbon isis this It looks it's more than Wait a second Is that really only 6 mm looks like it might be 7 mm Hold on Wait I can just hold it up against
[01:09:12] the Omniixo Hold on No that's six six mill Six mill carbon's a thick [@$#%] bro so there's that There you go There's How did my mailbag look i farted and it stinks Oh boy It's
[01:09:29] It's just It's something else It's a real seed happening over here Big motors and since I put those motors on the arm LEDs this will be a super easy swap Chop these motors to the
[01:09:45] right length smack them down onto the arm LEDs good to go Look at this man Good lord Old devil horns Devil Horning Very exciting Very very very exciting And then I can enter into the world of
[01:10:07] trying to tune vibrations that are on top of the physical movements that you're putting in with the with the rates which will be a goddamn nightmare But I'm excited man I'm I'm
[01:10:20] I'm extra excited about all that Limits says "I just dismounted my '04 75mm build I'm trying to mount it back but I can't remember the camera orientation is the Mippy connector supposed to be on
[01:10:33] the top or the bottom?" Top Top Wait no Bottom No wait Top Top top Just the tip Just for a little bit Brandon says RMA probably wouldn't fix the
[01:11:05] problem Who knows man alls I know is the $26 enclosure worked better than both of the the OWC's which just seems completely insane But
[01:11:23] man [@$#%] be working I'm fine with it Can you There we go Why is that in like every rap song okay since this is facing rearward this awesome little Oh here So here's what it does It's got little
[01:11:48] LEDs on it And then when you plug your battery in it lights the LEDs up all bright like little tail lights when I put these on the front of the quad I put a piece of black shrink wrap over it
[01:11:59] to kind of like turn them off And then at some point I want to turn them on I just cut that shrimp wrap off one thing that you want to do if you're going to shrimp wrap over this which I
[01:12:10] like to do is just file the corners down a little bit's the the corners are very sharp and they will just shred right through your your shrimp wrap So just take your little file real quick
[01:12:22] and just on the corners just just a little bit No big deal front and back back and forth You're just taking that like ultra sharp edge off of it No need to go
[01:12:38] crazy All right there's two Third one And fourth corner That's all Just a little tip Otherwise that shrink wrap will just split right off of there Scrape the tits right off your car What
[01:13:03] show does anybody watch The League i just I just told you what show I haven't had access to it in a while I don't know what it's on I think it might be on Netflix if you have not watched
[01:13:15] The League and you like cursing oh boy it's all like dick jokes and potty humor but I I I it's one of my favorite comedies of all time check it out if you haven't watched
[01:13:30] The League I'm very jealous because boy is it funny I mean it's funny the second and third time too but holy [@$#%] the first time watching that show is is just a a
[01:13:43] practically religious experience So these Walter Grommet and Mr Mittis need to come out I was This is an AIO that I was using on the 1S WalkSnail build and I was kind of screwing
[01:14:05] around with that build I used extra tall grommets here on the AIO and short grommets on the VTX and then on this 65mm build that I'm putting back together here I did the opposite And I
[01:14:18] was just kind of seeing like if if one made more sense than the other It didn't but the the Walknail VRX sorry VTX is unbelievably difficult to get the grommets in and out of So
[01:14:35] there is not a chance in hell that I'm going to try to swap them on that this BetaFPV old school 1S AIO it's really not that bad to get the grommets in and out of as you just saw and
[01:14:49] so now I'm just going to kick these grommets out of this one swap them over and we will be ready to go Actually before I swap them over I'm going to take care of the soldering All
[01:15:07] right All right And so now this grommet has torn It's always important to be really gentle with these grommets because they will tear on you very very easily and they tear in between here And
[01:15:21] when that happens the your PCB will smash right into the screw And that's bad You do not want that So always be super gentle with these grommets I'm trying to pry this
[01:15:35] open to show you where it's torn but you've probably had these tear before They they tear right in between the layers There it is There You can kind of see it's gone now so I'm
[01:15:48] actually going to switch to a different grommet But I will take the rest of these out since this AIO is blown up Oh [@$#%] this one ripped too All right And that one's
[01:16:19] fine So this is really the method for remove Nope If you roll them between your fingers like this you can usually see if they're torn or not I think that one's fine
[01:16:34] but it just disappeared so whatever It's gone forever blunt tipped tweezers And then you just pinch them and push them through just If they're torn you can also
[01:16:51] usually see it on the inside if you have your nerd goggles on I don't know I don't trust any of them the one of them just disappeared No I found it So I'm gonna throw them away I have plenty
[01:17:00] of these Mr Mitties H grommets I have plenty of these grommets So let's get a fresh set going here Cole Power says the league the league is definitely on Hulu right now
[01:17:19] That's it's on Hulu That's right That's right That's right That's right That's right It's Hulu That's where it is so I'm just going to
[01:17:29] go boring old school black grommets on here make sure that you match the grommets Make sure that the grommets all look identical These are the newbie drone grommets that I'm grabbing here
[01:17:42] They have a tiny little slit down the center That's why you can always tell them apart from all the other ones and they're just like totally squared off They don't have any rounded edges or
[01:17:56] anything All right there we go So there's a matching set of grommets but we're going to pause and we are going to work on the we're going to get the
[01:18:13] soldering done first I'm going to put three of these grommets on because once I get the once I get it soldered up to the VTX it's going to be a total pain in the ass to
[01:18:24] work on So I'm going to put three of these grommets on that are away from the soldering that I'm going to do and then we'll come in and solder it So to get the grommets in I just use my thumb and
[01:18:36] pointer finger and pinch and squish pinch and squish pinch and squish pinch and squish pinch and squish and then once you get it there I got pretty lucky And I was able just to mash it on the
[01:18:47] rest of the way don't try to do it from the bottom where these plugs are in the way Do it on the flat side All right So take it Again th this BetaFPV board it kind of has oversized holes So it it
[01:19:00] makes this very easy Pinch and squish Pinch squish pinch squish pinch squish and then push Unbelievably easy on less oversized holes my normal sequence is pinch squish pinch squish pinch squish
[01:19:17] to get it started And then take the blunt tipped tweezers and do the same deal Come in like at this angle pinch it and push it pinch it and push it And then you can get it the rest of the way
[01:19:30] through there So I'm so dumb I put the I put the grommet on here on top of where I need to get the soldering done I wasn't paying attention Let's take it
[01:19:51] out Take it out gently so I don't rip it Come on There we go No no no Get out of there Cool I accidentally put it on the back Instead I'm going to put it on the front Pinch it push it Pinch it push it Pinch
[01:20:13] it push it Smash it the rest of the way All set All right So one of the one of the pads that you need to solder to is all up on the grommet That's me just removing a little bit of the
[01:20:30] little bit of the flux that's on there There's a lot of flux on here I just put the grommets onto the broken AI God damn it All right I was I was just I just
[01:21:04] wanted to give you guys more examples of how to put grommets in that's the answer That's all that just happened Pinch it and push it There we go All right This AIO is
[01:21:23] going way over there so that I don't confuse it with the new one Oh Oh Oh Let me do a little bit of shrink wrap on here She boo Nope I want this shrink wrap here All
[01:21:44] right Nothing super fancy Just a little kit of shrimp wrap Do I have any clear left where's all the clear at is this big enough There we go All right So we got this Let's cut always cut your
[01:22:07] shrink wrap with scissors so that it cuts all the way across so I want just enough there And then So basically here if you cut shrink wrap sorry shrimp wrap with with flush cutters
[01:22:29] you'll leave a little spot You'll like you'll clip one side and you'll clip the other and there'll be a little jank and then when you go to jank the jank it'll jank the
[01:22:40] yank and it'll flank your pank And you don't want that It'll tear It'll tear but as it's tearing it'll be janking your flank and that's not a good that's not
[01:22:55] that's not good You don't want it to be janking your flank It's bad Adam Wesson says "If anybody's looking for one of these for their own I just listed my WalkSnail Batwing on the
[01:23:06] Discord swapping shop." There you go There you guys go Okay so I just throw this over here Ah I cut this a little bit too long That's okay It'll be fine I just put it over there just as a little
[01:23:25] little what have you Words eluded him this Friday night use the base of the flame and it won't get the clear shrink wrap all black So put the the flame all up on it
[01:23:46] All up on it The blue part of the flame it's very gassy and it won't get the shrink wrap all charred and ugly Or just use a heat gun like a [@$#%] adult I'm a savage though I use fire
[01:24:13] And then come in here And I like to pinch the tip Just pinch the tip And then it'll make a little it'll make a little thing I did a little too slow though Hit's again All right And then just pinch the
[01:24:36] tip It'll like stick to itself Now what's cool is you come in with the flesh cutters and you just shape it up Shape it up real nice Kind of like you tonight Gassie That's it That's
[01:24:51] it There you go So now it's all stuck together Come in here Clip your corners Maybe even clip it straight across But whatever You do you You make your tiny whoop look the way you want it
[01:25:11] to look Don't let anybody tell you how to make your tiny whoop look It's your creative vision I'm going to make this look better My creative vision tells me I need to chop more of the shrimp
[01:25:33] rappel I'm talking some [@$#%] tonight bro trying to having to fix all that [@$#%] really like it really it really tired me out I just like computers not working draws an
[01:25:55] amount of energy from me that like nothing else does and brings me to a place of despair like you wouldn't believe And there we go So we got a little shrink wrapped
[01:26:08] nubbing And now when you plug your battery in it lights up like one big bung bong bong bong And it's protected And if something metal touches it's not going to
[01:26:21] jump okay So this is the good one We're going to pinch and stuff Pinch it and stuff it I'm not using the nerd goggles right now and I can barely see what I'm doing Pinch it and stuff it Pinch it and stuff
[01:26:38] it Stuff it and pinch it And then rest of the way through Come on These guys There we go I'm not going to do the one in the back I'm going to do the one in the front though there we go Get it started Sometimes
[01:27:04] you can get it the whole way Sometimes you got to use the blunt tipped tweezers Don't use sharp tipped tweezers because you'll drive it right through the the rubber
[01:27:15] grommet And that's dumb Pinch it and stuff it Come on Get in there Whatever As long as you get it started you're good These tweezers were like $5 from Amazon They're just standard sort of tweezers All right
[01:27:46] Omniixo time because we're going to have to juggle a little bit So let's get this in here the the VTX is tied to the camera and I don't necessarily want to pull it out of the
[01:28:00] frame so I'm just going to like put this down here What's up CMYK how are you brother i'm wearing your shirt Is there anything on the back no you cheap
[01:28:15] bastard Doesn't cost anything extra to print on the back Okay here we go I've got the work facing forwards here And so I need to get the wires coming sort of forward So I'm going to put the frame up like
[01:28:40] this I think let's take this Omniixo and we're going to grab the duct here We're going to take this other omniixu and grab this duct And so now let's see if I move this
[01:28:55] forward and I pitch this forward like this I just need to get this to the point where like the wires are going to be long enough to get to these pads And so we're going to go left to right Let
[01:29:15] me just pull up the picture on my phone I think it's red then black but let me just check Oh my god Face ID worked even with the nerd goggles on that's pretty
[01:29:28] fancy stuff Apple knows They know what the nerd goggles are Red is red then black All right So all we need to do is get this close enough so the cables can reach Red then
[01:29:41] black So let's just pitch this forward like this Put a little angle on it And then I wonder if that's close enough I don't think it quite is Now it should be though Let's get this ELRS antenna
[01:29:58] out of the way And right is all the way over there So that's going to loop across I'm going to take this last little omnio and grab this AIO in a second spot to hold it a little bit more steady
[01:30:14] There we go Now we're talking We are going to be doing this with them tweezers because these are tiny little 30 gauge wires Let's get the soldering iron out and clean it Nope Let's put the
[01:30:25] soldering iron back and we're going to just get the wire figured out first We're going to get the wire run down here I'm going to grab it I'm gonna like twist my hand in a weird way because now
[01:30:38] I can untwist my hand holding the wire just in like the super super super tips of the the tweezers Push the tweezers against the PCB to hold it nice and
[01:30:55] steady Just very gently reposition Nope This is where you want to spend your time not with the soldering iron Get the wire so that you can hold it steady in the exact right
[01:31:13] spot And then the soldering iron comes in just to provide the heat The soldering iron should not be used to move the wire around There we go It's exactly where I want it Clean the tip of the soldering
[01:31:28] iron I should have put flux on here but I forgot Instead I'm going to tin the tip of the soldering iron Nope I can't The solder is behind my left hand We're just going
[01:31:41] to go in dry and give it a shot Let's see Should be all right Wire moved Come back in Come on okay I am all right So on this old school Oh Oh Oh Oh Okay Hang on I need
[01:32:10] to check what version WalkSnail VTX this is Wait No no no I was feeding at full voltage and it didn't blow up So we're good We're good We're good We're good I can indeed feed
[01:32:24] this full voltage Fine All right I am soldering on top of the battery lead And so I need to come in with a tinned soldering iron tip because I need to add a little bit
[01:32:45] of solder here All right there we go Got the wire And so now I have to be quick If I take too long the battery wire could try to fall out of here So we're going to tin the tip of the soldering
[01:33:00] iron First we're going to clean the tip of the soldering iron again because it has oxidized All right there we go Get the wire in position Tin the tip of the soldering
[01:33:16] iron What's happening come on Hang on The the tip of the solder iron is really oxidized Oh my god it's a mess Hold up There we go That's better Okay wire in position Hitting the
[01:33:48] tip Oh boy that picked up a huge ball of solder I don't need that big there That's perfect All right wire in position That's it Just drop it down Get it done quick When you're sold soldering
[01:34:09] two wires under the same pad the one on top you just got to be quick It's you could argue that you're making a bit of a cold solder joint but it's as long as you if you're quick you
[01:34:23] should and you have flux it should flow You don't need everything to you should be all right Look for a seam You do not want to see a visible like line
[01:34:49] between in in the solder where that wire is up on top of the pad You want it to be one big blob There we go Now we've got a ground It's in the tip of the iron Ground is in position Drop it
[01:35:13] down Good to go [@$#%] Let me just I'm not quite happy with that Hold on The ground pad is absorbing heat as it do And I just want to rework this real quick So I'm just
[01:35:42] going to put a tiny little bit of heat into this now that I've got a little bit of flux on here There we go I'm actually just going to touch this positive lead as well Just the solder
[01:35:57] kind of tried to chase [@$#%] Come on Now the flux is like all gone from these and the solder is chasing the tip of the soldering iron All you need is a little flux and a
[01:36:13] clean soldering iron tip to fix that Flux is on there Hold the wire Hit's Puff of smoke Good to go All right those look fine and now the other two are gray and
[01:36:33] white Oh wow Face ID did not work that time So it's gray than white Okay And so these pads are back here Kind of a pain in the ass if I'm honest but it'll be totally
[01:36:49] fine Fish this through Grab it And now these wires do have to cross which is kind of annoying Clean the [@$#%] out of the tip of the soldering iron Doing that Grab the gray wire And
[01:37:11] now this is the wire that goes like right next to the grommet So I want to keep it as on the other side of that pad good to go I kind of rushed that but it worked totally fine It's a really
[01:37:30] small pad The smaller the pad is the once you've already worked on a pad if it's really small you can usually just go in there dry with no flux or nothing And
[01:37:45] like the small pad will get so hot so fast that it ends up being like really easy I'm going to do it on this one as well Let's see See the pad is just so small that the
[01:38:00] heat dumps in there and just blah and the whole thing melts immediately and you're good to go So there it is That is itty bitty man Th this old BetaFPV 1S AIO
[01:38:17] it's a little rough to work on if I'm honest These pads are ultra ultra ultra small but if you use flux if you have an Omniixo if you have magnification it's totally doable Trust yourself You got it
[01:38:33] And there are benefits of those little tiny pads like what I was just showing you Like the way you can just kind of halfass it and the pad will will melt really quick even if you haven't fluxed
[01:38:45] it or tinned the tip of the soldering iron So this thing is all soldered up Now we just got to deal with the almost as hard part which is getting the wires to not be all jank on top of
[01:39:05] one another having cutting the wire lengths exactly right is one of the most important parts of that I've done this build so many times that I just like I know how to route them
[01:39:22] Every AIO every build is slightly different oh I got to get this grommet in here This ought to be fun Got these wires all up on top of it Let's see Hold
[01:39:36] on Squish it and moosh Squish it and moosh Squish it and moosh Okay All right He's mooshed Now we're just going to come in here Wow man Without the [@$#%] nerd goggles on I can't see a goddamn
[01:39:57] thing buddy My vision was not this bad when I started in this hobby Holy [@$#%] balls All right So I make I run the wires inwards on the the WalkSnail VRX and then just get them separated here
[01:40:13] because you don't want them crossing over each other because you're putting these really close And then they're going to go inwards a little bit And then you're just going to
[01:40:26] stack it up Hold on I need to get the the ELRS antenna is [@$#%] up the works here I just want to get that facing outwards All right that's better All right so we got this
[01:40:42] stacked up there Just push these wires out and since I had this build already the wires already have like the little bends in them where they're making like a 180°ree turn around the
[01:40:54] the VTX But just take a little bit of time on that part Let's feed our little fancy LED BT 2.0 battery lead on Smash these down and see if I can get it on the first
[01:41:15] shot So you also have to keep this MIPY cable up so it goes in between doesn't get pinched in between the duct and the AIO All right there's the bottom grommet through the
[01:41:39] frame Come on little buddy And so now the the top grommets are just going to sort of float The the screw is going to go through them and that's how they're going to be held in place
[01:41:53] I wish they made the the posts on these frames a little bit longer but I know why they don't I think that's it I think that's in position there that's about right I am
[01:42:08] going to take this ELRS antenna though and I'm going to put it out up here I hate running this ELRS antenna in between two PCBs You want to get it out from between
[01:42:23] them as much as you possibly can The PCBs are like big thick Man I can't see [@$#%] I got to put the nerd goggles back on This is ridiculous The PCBs have like a solid layer of of
[01:42:36] copper which is going to do a terrific job blocking RF So get this ERS antenna facing like outwards as much as you can I'm going to just give it a little nudge with these blunt tweezers You got to be
[01:42:52] careful with it especially this one that I've bent a whole bunch of times already All right so that's going out So it's going like straight out And then I'm going to get
[01:43:01] it bent up and over so that as much of it as possible is up above the PCB So I got like a little 180°ree bend here which is not great but I'm just trying to protect it And so I got it sort of
[01:43:19] like right on top of this VTX antenna because you don't want to get caught getting caught on [@$#%] That's how you rip it off break it off that's looking all right This build
[01:43:32] is kind of ugly I'm not going to lie when it's done I could put one of those little Micro King 3D printed jib jabs on top but I'm not going to I think we're good Move it around a
[01:43:52] little bit Make sure none of the cables are too tight And should be all right Cool Let's throw some screws in it and see what's what This can be a little difficult
[01:44:10] because you're kind of just sending the screws down into the abyss But the trick is to screw it in a little bit and then just pull up on the screw head If you miss the threads when you pull up on the
[01:44:23] screw head it'll just pop right out In this case I did not I don't know what the hell screws these are They have big heads on them though I think they're like M1.2 by8 They're not quite long
[01:44:36] enough but this is not a freestyle build so it never really takes big hits and so it's kind of fine you would absolutely not want to use screws this short for a job like this
[01:44:54] on a rig like this with a canopy on it But since there's no canopy on this there's nothing to really pull up on these screws If this thing crashes everything pushes down There's no weird
[01:45:07] canopy to create like an angle and pull up on the screws Like I said earlier I've put a ton of batteries through this build and it's been completely
[01:45:21] fine All right last one is going to be in the back here Just again manage these cables Make sure that they're movable Make sure they're not pinched in between stuff Crank that
[01:45:37] down After I tighten these screws down I like to push down on the top board to see what the to see how much the little rubber guy sort of compresses It's just a way of making
[01:45:53] sure that nothing's squashed in there and now I'm going to take something There's a little bit too a little bit too much cable up here I'm just going to take something take something small
[01:46:06] like a little 1.5 and just like push these wires in I want them to be really flat on this top plate So I'm going to I'm going to just make a little bend in the wire and then
[01:46:21] just push them inwards Get them up out of out of the way There's the white one Here's the gray one There's absolutely no way of me to show you this but you'll see You want
[01:46:37] to manage these wires really carefully on these tiny little double stack boards You do not want these wires [@$#%] all over one another You want your wire runs to be
[01:46:50] super clean Okay that's the white Here's the gray Okay And you can when you hold it sideways like this you can kind of see through it And then you can just go and poke them around a little bit What
[01:47:11] you're also looking for is a little bit of daylight above and below the wires You don't want the wires to be pinched in there That's why like doing what I'm doing right now is is really nice
[01:47:21] because like I'm moving these wires around If they were pinched it would become very very evident But I'm able to move these around I'm able to kind of like adjust where
[01:47:33] they're going And that means that they're loose That also means I can kind of like crank the the screws down a little bit more to get a little bit more thread engagement on them which I'm
[01:47:44] going to do in a second But just real quick here getting these nice and flat Making this 180° turn There we go I wanted to get them clear of the Mippy plug The MIPY plug is
[01:48:01] like right here All right So I'm not going to crank this one down because the Mippy plug is right here I'm going to try to crank the rest of these down a little bit just to
[01:48:13] get Well I'm not cranking that one down That one's already starting to like deform the grommet I'm going to turn this one a little bit there we go Kind of turn them
[01:48:23] down until the grommet deforms a little bit I'm going to show you in a second with the close-up camera I'll crank this one down just a tiny little bit more that's looking good
[01:48:40] Cool All right So here's what I'm trying to show you So those wires go through that hole to the right of that MIPY And it's got to be clean You got to get that just right And then don't let that MIPY
[01:48:56] plug hit the duct Right so don't crank down this screw here right in front Leave that one a little loose But then the rest of these see how the grommet's starting to get kind of smooshed up that's okay
[01:49:10] There's plenty of clearance in there Right That grommet's getting I might tighten that one down a little bit more And then see the front one's all mangled but that's okay And then there's the
[01:49:20] ELRS antenna peeking up And I'm going to tuck it under the the WalkSnail antenna and see there So there's the the wire runs there Keep that [@$#%]
[01:49:35] clean Cool there's a bind button here I'm not going to crank this one it's should be I'll give it another half turn It'll be fine I gave it a little quarter turn
[01:49:53] There we go All set Taking a look at this ERS antenna There's It's a little shiny Oh is there a little Did I get a little solder on there got a little solder on
[01:50:11] there So help me God If that solder that I just took off of there fell into this board and this board blows up I'm going to be pissed Well only one way to find out Let's fire full voltage through
[01:50:25] it this guy's done Let's plug it in See if it explodes I sure wish there was a make sure that things don't blow up thing for 1S the light
[01:50:47] on the walknail VRX is not turning on it is There it is Flashing green Huzzah the motors are not plugged in because we're swapping them out And so that's why we didn't get our motor beeps
[01:51:01] Holy [@$#%] it's 959 all right Let's pull these props And so these are 40,000 KV motors on here in the quest for more runtime I'm removing all of the super high KV motors from all these cinematic
[01:51:20] rigs and replacing them with as low KV as I possibly can in this case it's 30,000 KV The only problem these these motor shafts might be all banged up on these motors so this might be a
[01:51:34] terrible idea but we're going to do it anyway There we go All right While I'm swapping these motors I'm going to pay attention to dot versus no dot on the on the
[01:51:52] HappyModel motors that I'm taking off And I'm just going to replace them And then that way I won't have to change the motor direction So we'll do motor two first And I'm also going to run the
[01:52:10] I'm going to run the drill bit down the frame just to So this is a no dot motor as well It should be so I'm just going to hit this frame with this 964 drill bit Oh my
[01:52:28] god I hadn't done it before I'm glad that I remembered to do it Run it around here Just remove a little bit of material And cool No jank All right So then I got a no dot
[01:52:51] 30,000 Let's throw this on here Let make sure these aren't 0603s Nah 702 Good to go Okay So man this is gonna have a lot less power But I've kind of given up on the whole freestyle RC drift
[01:53:13] chasing thing The the reason why I went higher and higher and higher KV on these drift car chasing rigs is I was trying to do all the wacky [@$#%] like you see Gaver do Like you're you're on the
[01:53:24] rear quarter of the car and then you blast the throttle and do like a bit of a front flip over the car and then like land on the front corner on the opposite side and then like fly
[01:53:37] backwards and track the damn thing The the scale is just wrong the these the the com if you look at the size of these tiny whoops and you compare it to the size of the RC drift cars it's
[01:53:53] the equivalent of like a 15-in propeller sin lifter chasing full-size drift cars which has been done before When they do that though they don't do all that crazy acrobatic [@$#%]
[01:54:07] and so that that idea is kind of out the window which is totally fine I will absolutely take a little bit more run time so this is a red dot motor We're going to replace it with a red dot
[01:54:19] I'll take another 20 seconds of run time for like an inability to do that That's completely fine I almost forgot Let me hit this with the drill bit so this is just the deal with these
[01:54:35] newbie drone cockroach V3 and light AF frames the first time you put HappyModel motors on them you'll probably be fine But the second or third or fourth time especially if you crank the screw
[01:54:50] the motor screws a little bit tight it's going to start to squash the plastic in towards the C clip and so the super easy way to prevent that is to just do what I just did with a 964th drill bit
[01:55:04] and you're all set You're just removing a little bit of material and then you will not deal with the C clip rubbing on the plastic frame which is a super annoying
[01:55:19] thing because you think you screwed the motor up and then you swap the motor out and it doesn't change and you're like what all right two down two to
[01:55:39] go Man I'm so happy to have those quads out of this house Jesus I literally I I had to update bind set up and fly ELRS 900 ELRS 2.4 Ghost Tracer and Crossfire One two three four
[01:56:02] five six six things this is a no dot and I also had to do all that with 04 03 old school Vista AC0 I haven't done yet analog which is more annoying than I would have thought
[01:56:22] because I was doing it with a different set of goggles and walk one of each So if if you need to know how to bind or update any of those ask me right now because I will forget
[01:56:34] it very soon Now's your chance In one week I won't remember any of those processes again I'll have to look them all up All right And plugging that one in I forgot to
[01:56:54] plug the other one in Which one was it [@$#%] That motor says 32,500 That one says 32 That one says 30,000 I think I might have swapped the bells on one of these 40,000 KV
[01:57:12] motors Or these weren't 40,000s I thought that they were though If they weren't I'm going to be a little upset Son of a [@$#%] They weren't Are you kidding
[01:57:30] me oh I am just as dumb as a sack of hammers I These motors that I'm putting on are probably beat up and I'm probably going to have tune problems Well I switched three out of four I might as
[01:57:45] well go all the way I'm probably not going to fly this thing very much So if these motors are beat up I guess it's fine I'll have another set of 32,500s I can put on something
[01:57:57] else I want I I could have sworn that I had another set of 32,500s and I couldn't find it Now I know where they were They were on this thing Why did I think I just assumed that I'd put 40s on
[01:58:10] this What a donkey Oh well this is motor four and there's a red dot on it so we're good Render says "On my 65mm of 40,000s I limited down to 72 and the whoop wobbles when doing any aggressive
[01:58:28] moves doesn't stop until 92% motor limit Any ideas?" [@$#%] I forgot to hit this with the drill bit is it a cockroach frame are the C clips rubbing on the
[01:58:59] frame i mean there's no reason that it should do that What What were the motors that were on before there Was it doing it with the motors before spin each motor up in the motors
[01:59:09] tab Make sure you're getting roughly the same RPM from from each motor That's going to be one of the first things to do you might also need to back the tune No you're motor limited way
[01:59:35] down Huh it's a weird problem dude Okay let's check these and see if they are rubbing Now they all feel pretty good I think I did forget to do one of them though Hold on Let me take a look
[01:59:57] with a little bit of magnification Yep I forgot to do this one back here The other ones I very obviously did let me just knock this one out Let me let me pop this motor off and
[02:00:15] just knock this one out real quick Just because like it'll bite me in the future And the fact that I did three and not the fourth is completely insane All
[02:00:33] right there we go I put the a little bit of angle on it just to remove a little tiny bit of extra material I also find that it's pulls some of the little
[02:00:50] stringers some of the little bits of plastic And if any of those little stringy bits of plastic get in in and touch that C clip they're actually enough to make it like not spin full
[02:01:02] speed anymore It's super annoying All right all better I can't believe this had 32,500 KV motors on it I'm putting 30s on it What a jackass Oh
[02:01:23] well there we go Man there's a chance that the that the ' 04 rig has been getting better run I I I remember only getting exactly like 2 minutes at most on this
[02:01:40] I assumed that that was because I I thought it had 40,000 KV motors on it Now I'm super weirded out This will be cool We'll we'll do a next time I chase the RC drift cars we're going to
[02:01:52] do a total [@$#%] runtime smackdown There's no reason that the ' 04 should run longer It should actually run less long because it's heavier but I mean we'll see All right Which propellers are these
[02:02:11] are these the by 9's or by 1.1s these are the 1.1s I don't want to use these I want to use the 1.2 by 0.9 I don't have any left All right we're going to use these It's fine I
[02:02:30] think I I pul one of these that I pulled off felt really loose Let's put Yep it's that one usually when they're ultra loose that means that they're broken If you look at
[02:02:43] the hub or if you just pull on them they'll usually fall right apart So if you look at the hub you'll usually see that they're cracked And yep this one is
[02:02:58] indeed cracked at the hub It's not totally falling apart yet though And so let me try my little trick here to make the propeller fit a little bit better And then we'll try to put it back
[02:03:20] on See if I can get it Okay So we're digging up the inside of the hole which is going to raise a little ridge of plastic around there and that's going to grab onto the
[02:03:41] the propeller shaft hopefully All right let's see good to go Although I might have bent the blades of the prop up a little bit Hold on let me look Rolls around there Rolls around
[02:04:03] there we're good Looks fine the other one should be okay Let's see That's too loose Too loose We got to do this one as well That first one I did like really hard and because it was unbelievably loose
[02:04:34] This one I don't have to push as hard on because I just need to tighten it up a little bit That's much better See what this one's up to This is motor four
[02:04:52] here Oh boy Wow These are just falling onto these motors How are these props working jesus Ranger says it's time for weird whoop problems just when everything becomes unaffordable
[02:05:12] right and or completely unavailable There's that side this side You got to be careful when you're doing this to not push so hard on the blades that you add or subtract pitch from
[02:05:28] them It's kind of a fine balance There we go Last one Please just fit normally Oh my god Come onI think these motors that I put on might have slightly thinner motor shafts
[02:05:48] cuz this is like ridiculous I I can't possibly see a world where these propellers weren't spinning on the motor shafts Okay Okay there we go now we're talking the black and red
[02:06:18] rig Block snail back in the house All right so now we'll see if I got these battery cables just the right length or a little bit too short I might have gotten them a little
[02:06:35] too short I think they're actually just perfect though do I have a way of getting walk into the live stream i think I do I think I can take
[02:06:50] this All right So I need to unplug this but I do need to plug this right so let's plug this in And then I'm going to unplug the HD0 And now it's going to be the cable that
[02:07:11] drops all the time So fair warning but it's this cable And so let's run this back here Give me a minute here friendos Okay this back and over Oh
[02:07:42] [@$#%] In Okay In Good to go That was actually my TR That was me knocking the [@$#%] transmitter over That's not good All right So we've got USB to HDMI cable coming up
[02:08:04] I need a battery for these walks goggles Okay Man I haven't flown walk in a while It's been too long Actually I just flew it the other day but just up and down the
[02:08:32] street with a weird 5- in rig All right Power Push the button Plug in USB And then we need this And we need HDVRX And now in theory it'll pop up Let's
[02:09:07] see Double CMK in the house Shirt and the the sticker on the WalkSnail goggles All right let's see if Well I don't think it'll pop up until now I think it should be up there
[02:09:19] right now HDVRX Game Capture HD60S Game Capture HD60S Nope that ain't it That's it Yep there it is look at us go All right I got a couple batteries charged Let's see if this thing
[02:09:40] flies See what I need to adjust first Let's see if the batteries go in with the cable not getting in the way Oh just right Well not quite right Nope Just right There it is There's the back of
[02:10:05] it Uhoh Uhoh Oh look at that Tedardo is in the housewe're good Let's see if the motors spin the right direction Nope They're all going the wrong way Let's go into turtle
[02:10:31] mode Wrong Wrong Wrong All of them are wrong Okay I don't know how the hell that happened but that's a quick fix Get this battery out of here And what the [@$#%] what's the battery
[02:10:57] hung up on oh it's the stupid label Okay let's click BetaFlight and give it 10 days and nights to start Got this guy plugged in Oh my god lightning fast
[02:11:22] What plug in you bastard There we go Okay So well what since they're all going the wrong direction Oh no Screw it Flight It's fine I just the the motor direction thing
[02:11:45] like never works and so I'm tempted to just stop using it One is correct Two is incorrect Three is incorrect Four is correct Two and three It did change it this time That's
[02:12:09] nice Good to go it's works so infrequently that like I'm tempted to just not even use it anymore But I do need to use it to even like check the direction that the motors are spinning
[02:12:27] So like and then you're there so you might as well try it at that point no this is not the crazy B This is a the beta the old school BetaFPV 1S that they put in like everything and
[02:12:40] like all the racers used forever Teddy back up a little bit buddy Back up Back up small dog Oh god That So that's the cable into these goggles Come on now
[02:13:02] You were fine a minute ago Oh my god it's flying away I believe one of these motor shafts might be so beat up Let me check it One is fine Oh this is hitting the frame or
[02:13:25] something The weird something weird's going on Motor 2 is making a strange like vibrating noise What's happening motor 2 what are you what's your deal what are you
[02:13:55] hitting so it's kind of selfcleing Why the [@$#%] hasn't the video come back are you kidding me come on I'm powering the goggles up and down Oh boy This thing is not happy
[02:14:14] about life Something ain't right It is just flying away Can you hear the oscill oscillation it's going Stop it Stop doing that Just want to get the VTX cooled down a little bit
[02:14:54] Okay let's let's back the tune off a little bit and that'll start to Oh my god what was I doing no wonder Jesus All right I'm going to back the tune way the hell off and then we'll Oh
[02:15:18] my god What the [@$#%] dude okay Something's very not right Huh Well oh oh this AIO was in a 1S75 millimeter rig so I pushed the tune to the moon because of that Okay
[02:15:48] But something still ain't right We've got some sort of oscillation going on that's feeding back into itself Let me bring the tune all the way down and
[02:16:07] then we will build it back up render says the motor direction thing should always work Lol That's a funny joke it's doesn't work more often than it does work in the real
[02:16:34] world All right Profile simplified tuning The master multiplier is cranked up too Oh [@$#%] Profile simplified tuning master multiplier down to 1.0 And then we're going to push these D
[02:16:51] gates down a bunch too There we go All right Tune way backed off Awesome Wow What it's just black It was just blackthat was crazy Let me let me recreate that Holy [@$#%] Look
[02:17:11] at it trying to expose Wow Cool Let's let this VTX chill out this is zero uptilt This is a hardcore RC drift car chasing rig This is absolutely not a freestyle
[02:17:30] rig Oh Teddy you looking fine my little friend Battery is already at 3.5 volts but we had all that weirdness that we were working through Look how good Walknail looks man
[02:17:49] really really like every time I fly walks now I'm likethis looks great Okay so let's put a fully charged battery on it and see what kind of run time we
[02:18:02] get All right and get that out of there fully charged weed bleed battery Let's see what's happening here like the WalkSnail just the colors look good Everything just it just
[02:18:24] looks nice and it's doing 108060 so you can slow it down quite a bit's very decent very very very decent Okay fresh off the charger Let's see what kind of run time we get I
[02:18:49] mean the real test will be once I'm chasing the RC drift cars around Like that's a very specific kind of thing And so that and that's what I'm basing all of these run times off of So this isn't
[02:18:59] really fair to just be like limping this around the room I've also had really weird experiences in the last couple weeks of getting a lot less run time flying like
[02:19:15] this than when I'm chasing the RC drift cars which makes no sense cuz I'm changing direction a lot when I'm chasing them And requires electricity And so I don't understand
[02:19:29] why flying like this why I'm getting such short run times flying like this on the 04 rig But I mean whatever So essentially I'm flying this thing the same way that I
[02:19:52] fly the Cinnows Essentially giving you guys a basement tour A weird little The wind was doing something very weird coming off the the floor tom there That was
[02:20:11] strange man Lots of LEDs showing up on the ground there That's [@$#%] annoying I'm going to have to black those out with some black E6000 You see it getting into the ground
[02:20:28] effect So we're at a minute and 45 Just being as gentle as I can Set hover point is looking like 39 40 37 35 Why is it 3 39 we're going to go with 39 When I land once it gives
[02:21:00] me a low battery ward I'm going to change my midpoint I had the midpoint set for 32,500 It's probably not quite right here 39 looks like 39 is the number You can really see it pick up on
[02:21:18] the on the ground effect Whoa 2 minutes and 40 now we're talking Oh no Oh boy Oh my god I ran the battery down too far Three minutes But boy was I limping it around what did I say 39 for the
[02:21:54] throttle midpoint 34 So I'm actually going to only move it up to 38 because it's going to shift And we'll do another battery Battery bounce back up to
[02:22:09] 356 Three minutes bro From an HD slip slap That's all right That is all right I wonder why I was getting such bad run times with the with the 04 rig in
[02:22:27] here Oh man I'm excited to take this to Chase and fly it back to back with the 04 setup This is really good in terms of like chasing RC drift cars in HD There is nothing wrong with this
[02:22:45] the the '04 stuff is is obviously better in a lot of different ways but nothing wrong with this man If you've got a WalkSnail setup there is not a great reason to switch
[02:23:03] over Gangly fan's here but it's I'd have to like reach my hand over and pick it up All right So let's see what that did to the hover point It moved it a
[02:23:19] bunch It's all wrong now I went up too high 30 Good lord 30 No Let's get a little bit of momentum going 32 33 I need to move it down Oh stop it
[02:23:44] There we go He comes sauntering over 38 We're going to go down to 36 Save an exit I hear him He's chasing There he is Look at that trotting bastard What did I move it to 36 Let's
[02:24:05] put the nose down 33 34 30 34 Wow Still too low What the hell oh it's cuz I was at the end of the battery let's check propw wash Oh man It's no prop
[02:24:28] wash Cool Tune actually feels bordering on overactive Well it is weird to fly in zero up tilt Andthese are 30,000 KV motors There's there's a half decent amount of
[02:24:46] power here This ain't bad don't crash the cinematic rig bro Take it easy stop it Stop it you Oh I stopped it Oh didn't see that wire Even though I was flying in HD I didn't see that
[02:25:29] wire The one of the hardest things for me when flying zero uptilt is moment when I just drop down on the drum set where like I think I have enough forward pitch but then I don't and
[02:25:42] there there'll be like this weird pause where I'm like when's it going to start moving forward 2 minutes 20 even with like jamming full throttle I I
[02:26:00] mean it's not a freestyle rig Don't Don't freestyle it Speaking of I still have the freestyle rig Hold on Hopefully the it looks like the I'm not going to say it I'm not going to
[02:26:16] say it because then it'll stop working Here's the freestyle walks now rig I haven't flown this in forever Let's fly this as a comparison point Maybe it also just committed
[02:26:30] suicide while it was sitting waiting I think this is on 40,000 KB motors and it's on the the crazy bylades the HQ ultralite bblades Woo this Nomad module the the transmitter is sitting on my lap
[02:26:42] This Nomad module is just frying my dick It is It is It is lighting my dick on fire right now Does this thing still work it's got some up tilt and [@$#%]
[02:27:02] Is it working nope Oh wait There it is Holy [@$#%] 40,000 KB motors with some up tilt Let's see what it do Oh god it's heavy Oh [@$#%] Oh boy it's a it's a tanky
[02:27:32] [@$#%] Whoa Whoa Oh it's just dark upstairs I bet you there's like not many lights on not many lights on Just doing a weird wobbly thing too That was
[02:27:48] odd Freestyle WalkSnail rig Oh it's fat And there's latency I remember why I don't fly this much Oh [@$#%] Good boy We'll go for a big one Oh my god it is This is
[02:28:36] rough Oh the dog was right there I didn't expect that oh he's behind me Ah he ran away Look at him He met his match Minute and 30 seconds Minute and 30 Man what a
[02:29:00] difference Jesus Couple of those full throttle blasts on 40,000 KV motors motors will do that man Yikes Chewing up these batteries Jesus Minute and a half this battery is
[02:29:17] hot coming off of there I don't know why this thing is still together what if I limp it around hold on Let me put another battery through this I'm just going to limp
[02:29:29] it around I'll fly it really efficiently and we'll see what we can get We know what's possible 3 minutes is possible Let's see what 40,000 KV motors on by blades But see these are like the
[02:29:43] really pitchy byblades and so they might not be all that efficient But let's just see Let's see I'm going to fly it Fun but efficient Come on Come on Walk Here we
[02:30:13] go Fun but efficient We're going to shoot all the gaps But we're going to do it efficiently Stay on the same level as much as I can Oh [@$#%] Oh
[02:30:30] god Trying not to change elevation all that much Once I'm in this lower level I'm going to try to stay in the lower level as long as I can Oh my god Teddy Oh my god Oh there's so many wires
[02:30:49] Okay hold on for dear life Staying low No no no Oh god How did that get pulled onto the floor dog can you stop pulling the blanket onto the
[02:31:11] floor oh the run time sucks on this battery This battery must be broken Oh spaghetti man This battery is a hot [@$#%] pile we in it now Okay that ain't coming out
[02:31:41] If there's a piece of cellophane up on top of you don't arm Petty spaghetti is running around like a little maniac wow That was not much run time but I think it's because of this
[02:32:19] battery See if I can eek out another Nah it's at 3.66 already This battery is done A minute and 30 A minute and 30 Yikes man this does not look like an old battery This looks like a perfectly
[02:32:42] fresh battery to me Huh Weird I mean it's just might be the run time That just might be it Do I have one more 413 416 417 418 That's pretty charged let's give it a second to
[02:33:01] charge I'll get caught up on chat and then we're going to do another we're going to do another battery on the on the rig that we've repaired The zero uptilt will be the last battery
[02:33:16] that we fly Cool Christopher Cockright says "How throttle scale should I use it on my 5 in i don't understand what more sensitivity in the low end If it hovers 20% would it hover at 5% if it's a long
[02:33:39] answer I can ask next stream." it's not I can't really answer that question You have to go down that trail yourself luckily I've I've dug the path for you You're going to go to my
[02:33:55] channel You're going to click the little magnifying glass here And you're going to search for Throttle Expo And then you're going to watch one of these two I forget which one's
[02:34:08] newer but one of them's newer I think this is the newer one and you're just going to watch this live stream There's about a 45minute section of this live stream starting around here there are
[02:34:20] timestamps and so looks like it starts at an hour and a half right here you have to fully understand Throttle Expo to use it If you don't fully understand it you will
[02:34:48] make the situation worse because you will set it wrong This is why most people don't like it so you have to be willing to spend an hour watching me explain it and then you playing around
[02:34:58] with it a little bit in order to get it set properly it's not something for new folks It's not something for people that aren't willing to put a little bit of time and actually understand
[02:35:09] things if you are willing to put a little bit of time into it screw around with it's massive it's is it's night and day when you get it set properly But you have to understand it
[02:35:24] because you have to also understand when you need to move it If you fly in a different location if you change props if you change motors you have to change the midpoint and you have to
[02:35:33] understand how to do that So you you really do have to spend an hour maybe even two hours watching me watching me again dialing it in changing it playing around with it to really get
[02:35:43] it but once you get it's a really really really big deal Render says "Went on Pyro Drone and the price changed as I went to cart for G&B batteries." Mod One says "The glow it
[02:35:55] gives the LED gates in HD is nice right?" Blue Sky says "Uh what does the Walknail rig weigh?" Good question Good question I'll weigh them both for
[02:36:06] you So the RC drift car chasing rig that we've been working on all night weighs 24.75 gram The freestyle rig weighs 25.1 mainly because of the big old canopy So not not too heavy but they're
[02:36:31] fat There are a couple little fat fats but all of the HD rigs are fat Craig says "Received the replacement X12 AIO broke the UFFL connector and completed the Mavio 72S
[02:36:45] build you've talked about Thank you for discussing it." You're certainly welcome Enjoy That's one of my favorite builds I haven't flown them in a while I need to fly those Mike K says "Should
[02:36:53] I do props in or props out on a Fly Lens 8504?" props in for better dives props out if you're ever going to take the prop guards off and crash through trees and you want the props to push the
[02:37:07] the tree branches away 4.31 it's going to have to do Last battery of the live stream Thanks for hanging friends Sorry about the technical [@$#%] at the beginning
[02:37:19] but I got it figured out and the Canon software I had to update too and it didn't [@$#%] the bed So maybe they finally fixed it I doubt it but you never know Last
[02:37:41] battery Thanks for hanging my friends Oh seat fpv.com to support me If you don't support me I'll die Maybe I won't die but I certainly won't be able to continue doing this full-time
[02:37:52] forever So help a brother out and subscribe I mean subscribe click the thumbs up but then give me like $3 too Join my Patreon That's the best way that you can help me keep doing this It's the
[02:38:09] only way I can keep doing this Join my Patreon If you're on the $3 tier go to the $5 tier so you can win some stuff Patreon is how to do it Join that [@$#%] or I'll
[02:38:26] die A slow horrible death You wouldn't want that from your gangly buddy would you thank god I didn't pursue singing Instead I pursued dog harassments Harass your dog with your
[02:38:45] tiny whoop Let's fly backwards a whole bunch Let's just stop flying forwards and only fly backwards Oh the sim rig is in a spot that I don't really
[02:39:00] know Hold on Let's try though Yep Yep There we go And then over here And we'll go backwards here We'll go through this gate Nope Hold on Go through this gate backwards Turn the corner Nope That's
[02:39:16] the bass drum Nope That's going to Nope We got it Got it Got it Got it Shelf And then here And the sim rig again Taking a guess Oh god What happened i flew it too
[02:39:30] long I think the battery sagged too much I wasn't watching the I wasn't watching the voltage Oh It did Because it's not coming back I flew it down too low Sorry Little battery Where'd it go teddy show me
[02:39:45] where it is There it is Yikes It still not come back it didn't come back Hold on Let me put the battery in the charger and see how low I I flew it's says 3.5 there That's
[02:40:01] weird But let's see on the charger it says 3.8 What the hell there should be a little bit of jam left in here What's happening let me plug it back in See what's
[02:40:24] up Walk VTX might might have just blown up I hope not No that's good I'll fly through the live stream That's a great idea Where'd it go whoa Whoa
[02:40:45] That was weird No stop it That was super weird You did it twice in a row too I'm flying through the live stream Actually I'm more line of sighting at this
[02:41:06] point Man it gets kicked around by the ground effect I'm going to try this It's not going to go well And I when I come in when I get out of tail in my brain just goes
[02:41:29] like and I just I can't do anything It's unbelievable man Like I started off flying light on sight That's all I did for the first I don't know two three months and it's just it's all gone
[02:41:47] It's all gone I got none of that None of those skills remained Thanks for hanging friends Support me and I'll support you and keep telling you what not to buy anything else I wanted to cover i've
[02:42:04] still got goggle straps Show your trans and/or kitten pride with pink and light blue kitten goggle straps Order something from my Etsy store and in the note order anything and in the note
[02:42:20] say goggle strap me or or I want a strap or send me that goggle strap and I'll send it to you But you got to get something on my Etsy store Everything on my Etsy store
[02:42:33] has shipping included so I won't lose money by sending this to you Cool Thanks friends I got dandruff and the the Nomad module melted my dick off So today was a good day I
[02:42:54] got WalkSnail rigs again These goggles are awesomethe these old school walk goggles they're so good They're so comfortable They're lightweight They're just the right size They're small here I
[02:43:07] really like these goggles The goggles X are probably good too But man these these are great Really really good Thanks for hanging friends I'll see you Sunday at 3:00 No Sunday at
[02:43:21] 3:00 b the word transparent for obvious reasons right fly line of sight You have to think you're in the drone or whatever it just doesn't work My brain just
[02:43:32] goes "Love you Bye I'm not ready." here's some walk drift car chasing or not because that window closed I don't know why RC Drift Avatar 21 megs That ain't it 744 megs
[02:43:55] That's it Love you Bye See you tomorrow see you Sunday Heat heat heat Heat Heat hey Heat Heat N Heat Heat Nat
