[00:18:41]   happen a little prematurely I felt and so I've been wondering about the durability of the newbie drone hummingbird V3 AO I wired one up two streams ago and it when when I hooked up

[00:18:59]   a battery that was at full charge 4.35 it wasn't happy and I couldn't figure it out and I haven't been able to figure it out so I took it out of the rig that's this one here I desoldered

[00:19:12]   the bt2.0 I take I took the other one that they had sent me and I was going to solder the BT 2.0 on I tried to pop off the elrs antenna just so that it didn't get in the way and the little ipex

[00:19:29]    Mount I don't know the little ipex on the board that the elrs antenna is snapped down to broke off the ufls are just barely big enough where you can sometimes solder them back on as long as

[00:19:45]   there's not like chips right up against them the ipex are too small so I could try to take one of these UFL ipex antennas and strip the the black outer strip the the the black outer

[00:20:13]   shielding Bunch up the the the actual shielding and direct solder it to the board but it's just it's just too small like I I I just it's too small and I'm I'm

[00:20:36]   just I don't know look I'm probably not going to fly this rig this is not the Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop formula I'm afraid that I'm going to blow up another VTX I've not heard great

[00:20:47]   reports from people in terms of the durability this would be like an hourlong repair probably to get all that done clean enough to then get it soldered down once I got it soldered

[00:20:59]   down to the board it would be good forever unless the VTX blows up but I like I hate to just bail on something but like I'm not going to do that I'm just going to let it go

[00:25:37]   the antenna down so if you have a full length antenna that's this and you cut it in half it'll still work pretty good if you cut it in half again it'll still work pretty good like as long as you

[00:25:46]   stay within like an fraction the antenna will still it won't work as good as the full length but if you just randomly cut it then it's not going to work as well I guess is what I'm getting at here so cut

[00:26:02]   it to a fraction half quarter that kind of thing isn't a fifth smaller than a quarter yep the the yellow antenna is quarter wave 31.2 three and then the silver one is a little bit shorter so

[00:31:37]   drill bit to just remove ever so slightly a little bit of material if they're too tight putting them on the motors some GemFan props like the 1210 and the

[00:31:52]   129s the the inner diameter of the propeller hole is perfect and when you go to push them onto a motor you don't have to hammer them on there you just push with the right amount of force and

[00:32:03]   they drop onto the motor and all is right with the world most HQ props all of newbie drones props and some GemFan props the inner diameter is just too small it's they say 1

[00:32:16]   millimeter but it's actually like my guess would be .96 of a mil I've bought .96 .97 98 and 0.99 drill bits for science to kind of figure that out and so those propellers if you

[00:32:35]   want to run them without ruining your Motors you need to put them through a 0.99 mm drill bit because these tiny whoop Motors are super super super super Fragile the 1.5mm drill bit that comes

[00:32:47]   in the pin Vie is there because some of these 1.5mm props are actually like 1.44 1.45 46 and it really helps to but what you want to remember is that it is a true 1.5 millimeter drill bit so

[00:33:03]   you don't want to put the propeller on there and spin it a whole bunch you want to I mean this kind of goes every time we're drilling right like always remove less material because you can't put it

[00:33:13]   back but with the one point with the 0.99 mm drill bit's not as as important to do this but you still want to do this you put the propeller under the drill bit you spin the propeller let

[00:33:23]   the drill bit take a little bit of plastic and once the propeller has gone all the way onto the drill bit you take the prop off and you test fit's you absolutely want to do that on the 1.5 mm

[00:33:36]   drill B because it's not I was not able to find cheap 1.49 millimet drill bets which I have done before I also have 1.47 48 49 millimeter drill bits those were $10 minimum per and

[00:33:55]    I I I was not going to by 10 $100 worth of 1.49 millim drill bits but luckily the 1.5s that I got as long as you're careful and just spin the propeller on there and then take it

[00:34:10]   right back off don't let it sit on the drill bit and spin it and spin it and spin it and spin it spin it spin it and spit's gets the job done perfectly and it opens up the 1.5 mil

[00:34:19]   props just right if you want to drill 1 mm propellers out to 1.5 what you want to do is get a set of drill bits that has 1 millimeter 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4

[00:34:35]   1.5 and if you sit there and drill them 0.1 of a millimeter at a time there's a chance that they won't be out of balance there's a chance that they will when you're done which is why I don't

[00:34:48]   recommend it that's been my experience maybe you're better at drilling than me but my experience on more than one occasion has been that when you drill a prop

[00:34:59]   from 1 mil out to 1.5 or from 1.5 out to two in this way a lot of the time they're not balanced when you're done if you're looking the drill props out to 2 millim FPV cycle actually for a little

[00:35:15]   while sold a very slick little setup but it's been out of stock for a long time so I have a feeling he can't get any more of them if you're absolutely desperate for I can maybe like let you

[00:35:26]   borrow this but but not many people are drilling props out to 2 mm anymore that little setup uses the t-mount holes to Center the prop perfectly and then it's got a little custom cnced piece

[00:35:40]   that perfectly centered keeps the drill bit dead center so the propellers are not out of balance when you're done Titan says do you have an opinion on the baby turtle 2in

[00:35:52]   frame that's a sub 250 frame right in frame yes from sub 250g FPV his frames seem to be awesome I really do wish he could figure out a way to make the removable arm but that's asking for

[01:10:16]   and then the wire is going to move so with your off hand you need to keep the wire exactly where it needs to be and you need to be steady with that so you're going to put like the the bottom

[01:10:26]   of your hands down on the desk when you're soldering imagine this is the the soldering aren here both of your hands need to be down on the desk like this and then you're going to hold your wire

[01:10:39]   like this if your hands are hovering you're trying to muscle yourself and you can see how much I'm moving around it's kind of cuz I'm talking but you don't want the wires to be moving

[01:10:48]   around you put your hands down on the desk and now you can hold the wire nice and steady and then this is the tip of the soldering iron so if you're holding the wire on there the tip of the

[01:10:57]   soldering iron comes in puts the heat to melt the solder and then it comes out and you're and you just hold the wire perfectly still for a few seconds while it solidifies those are a couple of the

[01:11:06]   real Basics you can use 700° for damn near everything ts100 is one of the best choices for soldering iron because it's both portable and it works on the bench and it's just sort of a

[01:11:22]   situation of like just do it and if if you screw something up it was broken anyway right you're trying to fix something so it's broken so if you make it so if you break it worse it's like

[01:11:34]   okay hit's with a hammer and break it even worse after that then you'll feel even better about it but it's just one of the things that you just got to kind of do it

[01:11:44]    and before it it'll it'll just be like done go next so that's my that's my suggestion for you is to use this as a chance to learn to solder it's already broken if

[01:15:48]   got solder from the fact so in factories they use non-l solder which sucks and so what can sometimes happen is that the their solder can get all clogged up in the holes and then the

[01:16:02]   solder Wick is is a little challenging to use what I've found works is you put the the tip of the soldering iron directly on the through hole to get everything nice and hot and then you

[01:16:12]   pick it up then you put the solder Wick down and then you put the tip of the soldering iron on and then that'll work better I had a live stream recently where I really struggled with this

[01:16:22]   and I kind of figured out that little workflow be persistent with it and use lots of flux and sometimes what you'll actually have to do is add your own leaded solder so if if

[01:16:35]   you're get if if you're still not as like a third Last Resort heat the pad up and then add a bunch of your own solder and that'll mix Leed solder with the UNL solder and then go back to the

[01:56:33]   have you don't have to have you don't have to have as much KV as you do for these props so this rig at 32,000 KV makes pretty much all the power that the other rig on the by

[01:56:49]   blades with 36,000 KV makes it just delivers the power differently more more quickly it's like more crisp this rig I think I like the other one better but there's nothing wrong with

[01:57:09]   this and everybody should what you want to do is get the 36,000 KV Motors and then limit them down for these for these propellers oh God don't fall behind you

[01:57:23]    scum no oh it's right there we're good motor limit those down to 32,000 KV for these props buy both sets of props and buy the high KV Motors and then you can try it both ways and you

[01:57:43]   might like one or the other I I think I like the other one but hell these props will work well on even lower KV stuff man look at the low ass camera angle that I've got right

[02:07:44]   still going so if if you cannot be such a like me and be actually willing to replace propellers a little bit more often man these props are are something else they are really

[02:08:01]   good all that being said GemFan has the 129s which is significantly more durable only a little bit heavier and they're actually a little bit more pitchy than these

[02:08:18]    but if if you're an HQ fan these are the only tiny woop props you should be running like when I say like if you're an HQ fan what I also mean is like if you're anti- GemFan for some

[02:08:34]   reason these are the propellers for you woo woo these are good props I like these a lot I like them a lot it's really really really nice that that we've got some that we've got so many

[02:08:55]   options if if you're willing to change props more often or if you don't crash as much this propeller is a is a brilliant option if you want more durability

[02:09:09]   you got that if you want that byblade off throttle just sale you've got the the GemFan by blades this is what happens to these propellers the the they're so

[02:09:23]   thin that the tip of the propeller just leaves the conversation and it bends up like this and then they fly like absolute ass and it actually ends up bending the rest of

[02:09:36]   the blade down as you can kind of see so these props don't last that long this was this set of propellers probably has five maybe six batteries on it I crash a lot and I crash very often but

[02:10:19]   am I willing to make the tune it's just so much easier for me to run the GemFan 129s or 1210 129s Tri blades or 1210 by blades and just have a durable propeller but man
