[00:04:04]   build together in the rexis frame and it caught on fire today and I'm just just I'm just very angry I'm like completely deflated and just what you were just watching is

[00:04:34]   it flying on 4S it was all fine everything was fine on 4S and then like a goddamn idiot I was like well I hear some people talking about 6s with micros that I kind

[00:04:51]   of trust maybe there's a little bit of extra efficiency with it I haven't I haven't seen that in any of my previous testing but I have to test everything over and over again I can't

[00:05:09]   just test something and then trust it forever six months to a year goes by and I always think well maybe things are different now and here we are I have no idea what happened it it

[00:05:35]   looks like the ESC just exploded it's there's I don't know it was an ESC That's rated up to 6s all the solder joints were good to go everything was it wasn't perfect on 4S it was doing

[00:05:50]   something a little weird on 4S there was this massive throttle massive Bobble on on Quick Throttle that bradon's baked beans was very kindly looking at a

[00:06:06]    at a blackbox log to try to help me out with and then I said never mind it just caught on fire today is April 12th and here we are lessons couple of huge huge less lesons here to

[00:06:30]   be learned if you've got a paying gig coming up and they ask you to build something different or you decide to build something different you better have a backup plan I was

[00:06:52]   tempted to I was very tempted to just pull one of these two guys apart these are the rigs that I've been using to chase cyclists for the last two plus years for the national cycling league and

[00:07:08]   America Criterium cup and I was very tempted to just take one of these apart to put 03 in it luckily neither one of these are really made for 03 I could have probably figured it out like I could have

[00:07:25]   probably shoehorned it into either one of these frames but I didn't I said what these guys have done a lot of good work let's leave them together they're working they're good to go they're

[00:07:39]   reliable let's leave these together I also didn't know if 03 was going to work with the TV truck that I'm going to be hooked up to and all that jazz so I decided all

[00:07:55]   right I will get I will order the new AOS C frame and I will also order the 03 compatible version of this Frame called the rexis as designed by Brad FPV and do a scratch build with the

[00:08:15]   03 and then if I end up moving all the way over to 03 then I can take one of these apart pull it out pull the squid out of the frame and just drop it in the new frame and then I can take the other

[00:08:27]   one and either leave it together as a Vista rig or I don't know figure something out move it into like a freestyle frame or whatever and I'm really glad I did that because if I decided to like pull one of

[00:08:43]   these apart I would only have one rig for tomorrow's event which would be scary I'd probably be okay but if you've got something coming up and you don't have time to order

[00:08:59]   replacement parts you better not pull apart a working rigso being overly cautious sometimes is is a good thing sometimes it's really annoying but every once in a while it

[00:09:16]   really does pay off this is the AOS CNA 25 frame it finally came in from get FPV and this is the burned up rexis it's looks like the it looks like the flight controller

[00:09:46]   is okay the the plug header is a little bit melted it's killed the it's killed the plug going from DJI to the flight controller it scored the [@$#%] out of the frame

[00:10:02]   I'm going to throw away two of the motors the it's desoldered all of the all of the motor wires on one side of the ESC and so I'm just going to throw those Motors away just in case it's cooked those

[00:10:20]   Motors it's just not worth it plus the the i' cut the wires to the correct length and it just annihilated the ends of the wires so all the wires are kind of too short now

[00:10:32]    so I'm going to order a this is going to be my chance to finally test the t-motor stack which is kind of nice I guess so I'm going to order the t-motor 20 X20 stack to put in here probably next week or the

[00:10:50]   week after whatever two two new Motors and I think that's it I I should be able to find another cable to go from the 03 to the flight controller in my massive bag of of

[00:11:17]   wires so there's that I'm really I'm really really annoyed at this I I was really looking forward to and I just this was expensive and I had a lot of

[00:11:35]   time into this and I paced myself for a change like I didn't just burn through the entire build in one night and stay up all night and do it I paced myself I took my

[00:11:47]   time in doing so I like in in in spacing it out over like three days a couple of nights when I went to when I went to lay down I thought of like something better to do with it and and

[00:12:00]   subtly improved it the next day and it flew great as you guys could see at the beginning of the stream it flew awesome the latency the 03 system is real I was in 60 frames here's some more

[00:12:16]   flight footage from it the the latency at 60 frames a second was very notice able very very very noticeable but when when I got to the event I was going to talk to the truck and say

[00:12:39]   hey can I send you 100 frames per second can can your board handle that and I'm sure that it would have been able to but 60 frames a second felt very latent also super

[00:12:53]   wide angle like this is like DJI action two levels of wide angle I don't think I would have run it at this at this wide of an angle but I I I I set it I took a guess at the settings and

[00:13:05]   and I only got to fly two 4S batteries on it but I mean look at the tune like the tune is great the runtime was also great too I'm starting to maybe think that the 144s on the other lighter R

[00:13:21]   rigs are too small of a motor the motors that I put on the rexis are the axis cinemat itic 1405 4500 KV and they were great I I I was really really really impressed with those

[00:13:41]   Motors they had plenty of power and the efficiency the efficiency was awesome so I'm looking forward to getting it back together I'm really I'm just I'm so annoyed I'm so incredibly

[00:14:02]   annoyed like this is a this is a working rig so I took a lot of extra time to get it absolutely perfect and get all the wire runs right and everything super neat and super

[00:14:15]   tidy and it showed it was easy to tune except for this one weird problem which Brandon thinks was caused by I was up at dshot 600 he's thinking that going down to dshot 300 and taking the

[00:14:33]   pit Loop down from 8K to 4K would have fixed the issue he posted it in the BetaFlight blackbox group and one of the really smart guys suggested that and Brandon's like this guy's always

[00:14:45]   right I don't know man I I got everything bound up the the the production company rented me the the new RC Pro I got this all figured out I had to at the last second buy a USBC to USBC cable

[00:15:10]   for this I realized a big problem with this actually so the on the old one there was a full-size USB port up on top and then there was micr USB on the bottom and then there was

[00:15:26]   HDMI so plug into HDMI to send that to the TV truck plug in full sizee USB to your goggles to get the goggle feed in here and then use the USBC connected to a power brick to

[00:15:41]   keep this thing charged while you fly for hours and hours and hours they have removed the fulls sizee USB port on here and so now if you're tying up so so first of all you need a USBC to USBC to

[00:15:59]   hook up to your goggles it's the only way and then you're going to have to plug into HDMI and that's it so as a device to be used like in a production setting where maybe

[00:16:16]   you're flying more than like a few batteries in a row this is [@$#%] worthless I mean it does have a big internal battery and it'll and it'll probably run for a while but like the

[00:16:28]   very first one of these Criterium events that I did with the with the original one of these I did not have a power brick so DJI somehow locked these down so that you have to use their specific

[00:16:45]   power brick I tried five or six individual power bricks and none of them would fast charge this and at the very first ACC event I flu I learned that I tried to just use like an Apple iPhone

[00:16:57]   power brick and it would only slow charge this and there were points that I had to stop Flying because the battery was getting so low from it slow charging and so this damn well better have a much

[00:17:12]   bigger battery in it than the original one but I bet you it doesn't so this is completely worthless for $1,200 for anybody that's in any kind of like an actual production environment

[00:17:28]   that's going to fly like I don't know that that's a bit harsh I'm just frustrated but terrible decision terrible terrible terrible decision huge oversight to not have a way of of

[00:17:40]   keeping it fully charged but that's okay because I I learned that there's a this cable's not going to do any good I just learned that there's a cosmos stream

[00:17:59]   with a screen on it and it's only $600 it's a lot of money but compared to this heap of [@$#%] that's 12200 the cosmo streamer has enough ports on it that you can keep the damn

[00:18:13]   thing powered so the production company rented me this from lens rentals and I am glad that they did I would I would be pissed if I bought an RC Pro to find out that there's no way to keep

[00:18:30]   the effing thing plugged in so that's super disappointing but the the cosmo streamer with a screen the the my my hesitancy with the previous Cosmo streamers is that without

[00:18:48]   a screen I don't know if something weirds going on or the goggles have Frozen and that's something that happens with DJI quite a bit when you're trying to do the the the output deal

[00:19:02]   through HDMI and so the mic is in a different spot by the way it's over here now whoops why is that oh so if it sounds any different that's why there it is look at

[00:19:21]   that let me know actually let me do this we'll put it now see the problem's going to be see now now it's too close now it's too L well let's let's go for it let's get it as close as the camera

[00:19:36]   framing will allow and then I will adjust the gain actually that's not too bad that's right there it just peaked once that's not super bad Advanced Audio

[00:19:51]   properties where's that gain sure M7 it's 10 DB up let's drop it down to five and that'll probably be better check check check check check one 124 cool so

[00:20:09]    I'm sorry guys this is I am just I was really like oh man I mean in my defense they they took forever to get me the the the the one main guy Brad and I we've been talking for a while

[00:20:36]   about 03 and a month ago maybe more than a month ago he was like for Aniston we would love to do 03 and I and we talked about it and then he was like all right I'll

[00:20:51]   get back to you and he didn't get back to me until really late and so the decision for me to try an 03 build came like a week ago like a week and a half ago and then and I told him I

[00:21:05]   was that's like really short notice I'm going to try my best but like I don't put rigs up in the air that aren't tested like I don't put rigs up in the air that don't have hit this

[00:21:14]   is the other big lesson that don't have like 20 30 50 batteries through them before I put them around athletes or actors or musicians or whatever right and this is why like

[00:21:29]   yes it's blew up as soon as I put 6s on it so it's easy for me to sit here and think well idiot why did you do that that 4S is fine it was flying fine on

[00:21:43]   4S but it might have eventually blown up on 4S right like s the it's an ESC that was rated it was a 35 amp ESC rated to 6s and it was a good quality it was it was actually an acon ESC it was an

[00:22:01]   old acon ESC but it was an acon ESC and I've had really good luck with those but I mean the the I don't know I think 6s is what did it look we we've talked about it a bunch

[00:22:18]   I've seen it a bunch 6s is way more stressful on esc's than 4S so if you can run 4S run 4S PR if you're not in a situation where you're you're running into battery sag from a a

[00:22:38]   propeller and motor setup that draw a ton of amps don't run 6s and this is my reminder for that this is a shirt that I got for my birthday yesterday it wasn't actually my birthday

[00:35:22]    but now there's goggles 3 and so I have a feeling that I'm not even going to bother with this but I got to kind of wait because who the hell knows how long it's going to take Cosmo streamer to support

[00:35:39]   the goggles 3 so I'm stuck I'm stuck in like a weird holding pattern now with I don't know everything hopefully there's I I I think there's a big gap in time before before the

[00:36:42]   of batteries that I really kind of don't want now so oh it also it also grenaded the battery it's ate one of the cells in the in the battery so took the battery out into the

[00:36:58]   street so here's a here's a safe way of disposing of lipos so since it D so it the battery got so hot that I I think it desoldered one of the XT30 leads internally so there

[00:37:16]   was no way to hook the battery up to a discharger so I had this 6s 450 M battery that had five cells that were fully charged and one cell that wouldn't show up at all all and I'm like

[00:37:29]   that's dangerous and so the only way to discharge it would have been to figure out a way of getting a discharger hooked up to the balance lead and I just said what I'm not

[00:37:42]   I'm I don't I don't even know where to begin with that so I took a shovel a spade shovel and I put it out in the street in front of the house and I just stood back and just just stabbed it with

[00:37:54]   the shovel a bunch of times and I was able to puncture each individ ual cell and they shot a half decent amount of fire 400mah cells fully charged for the record like fully fully fully charged

[00:38:07]   when each one of those cells went off they shot a significant amount of fire like enough fire that if it was sitting on carpet your [@$#%] house would burn down so don't sleep on 450mah cells

[00:38:22]   if they're fully charged see that's the thing that's the thing that nobody really talks about with battery safety is that if the cells are fully charged that's when they're dangerous if they're

[00:38:32]   even at storage voltage or below I've not really seen them shoot fire but if you've got batteries that are fully charged for the love of God keep them in some sort of a fire safe bag whenever

[00:38:48]   you're doing an order on Amazon throw a fire safe lipo bag on that order they have all different sizes all different shapes start getting a bunch of them and then just stash them all over the place

[00:38:59]   stash one right next to your workbench stash one right next to your computer put a bunch of them next to your charger and this way there's no excuse to ever ever ever ever ever ever have a

[00:39:12]   fully charged battery not in Kevlar fiberglass whatever the hell it is those fire safe bags I don't know what they're made out of but they work they work really really well they've been tested

[00:39:23]   by flight test and Joshua Bardwell and they work shockingly well 1 2 3 4 5 in this order I got a set of the BetaFPV folded cell lava 300 m1s batteries we're going to try those out I have two

[00:39:38]   on the charger right now it's going to be an unfair test tonight because it's going to be their first discharge which all batteries are like insane on their first discharge

[00:39:48]   but we're going to start beating them up charging them discharging them and we'll see how they Stack Up compared to all the rest of the full cell batteries they should be the same

[00:39:59]   I'm pretty convinced with no evidence whatsoever that all of these folded cell batteries are being made by tattoo I could totally be wrong but I have actually have a little bit of

[00:40:11]   information I don't have a straight up confirmation like yes they're all made by tattoo but I have a little bit of inside info that leads me to believe that most are now I feel like the

[00:40:25]   audio is coming through a little bit low when see here's the one of the reasons that I've always kept the mic backed up a little bit is that I move around a bunch and when you move around a lot the

[00:40:35]   farther the mic away is the better now I've got it like right here all up on my face you can just barely see it and when I get closer to it's going to be a lot

[00:40:47]   louder but then when I get farther away I'm going to have to yell do you guys feel like I'm do you guys feel like you're having to turn the volume up more than normal

[00:40:58]    there's also well there's supposed to be yep there's a 103 motor in here one single 1003 RC in power 22,000 KV motor so now I have a full set of four 103s which I am going to test on this guy as

[00:41:17]   well I'm going to test the 102s first but then we're going to go to the so basically the the testing is going to go like this BetaFPV 1102 22000 versus RC and Power 102

[00:41:37]   22000 whichever one I like better is then going to get compared against the RC and power 1003 and we'll see on a 1.6 inch prop what what the king of the motors is

[00:41:59]   how's that sound friends does that sound good this is not a good live stream I apologize doing my best though here's a 6S 650 that I don't want do you want

[00:42:19]   it if you're willing to pay full price for a bunch of 6s batteries 6s micro batteries message me and I will probably sell these to you at whatever I paid for

[00:42:49]   because you guys are probably getting sick of it by now this acon ESC that I put in here is an old 20 X20 like version one acon 35 amp I had

[00:43:07]   heard a long time ago like two years ago from one of the local guys actually I I mentioned to one of the local guys that Aon esc's were God and he'd said really I've I've had a terrible time

[00:43:24]   with with Aon esc's I had two of their 35 amp 20 x2s catch on fire and I was like wow okay it's good to know that that they're they're not God's gift to

[00:43:39]   esc's but secretly I thought well you probably just don't know how to build I got this ESC from I think aoft Hobbies on clearance and it was it was pretty cheap and so I think maybe and he

[00:44:05]   the the the local pilot that had said that he'd said it was like a it was a while ago cuz cuz I asked him a couple more questions he's like it was a while ago I haven't tried him

[00:44:15]   since and I was like oh okay maybe that's it I only I only found Aon somewhat recently maybe that was like their old version and this one was like version one I I haven't I

[00:44:30]   haven't gotten many of their 20x20 esc's to be able to keep track of like version one version two version three but that's my guess my guess is that this was I I know that this was the

[00:44:44]   version one I guess that aoft had them lying around and they just wanted to get them off the shelf it's not the reseller's job to research every single one of their products and determine whether or not

[00:45:03]   they catch on fire and so I can't fault aoft whatsoever but I think maybe that's what happened I think maybe this version one 20 X20 35 amp Aon ESC from forever ago there was just

[00:45:23]   the fets were bad or something it's blew up right on the fets the the fets just let go right under the heat shield and just shot fire out and just so and it was a working

[00:45:37]   rig so there's that I also got two of these dog comom 320mah folded cell 300 MH batteries 320 meh 300 MH batteries I'm actually really interested to potentially

[00:46:01]   mythbust oh just popped out the bottom these particular batteries I hear some people raving about dog comom batteries so I'm super interested we will weigh all of these

[00:46:16]   we're going to weigh a bunch of these batteries in a little bit but for right now let me get so that was me this is me hitting the mic by accident I don't know about this mic location

[00:46:30]   here what I do kind of like so the the the reason that the mic is in a different spot is that well I can't really show you cuz I had to plug it in all weird likee but it's on an arm that

[00:46:41]   rotates that my parents got me for my wish list my Amazon wish list for my birthday and if I can get this arm set up properly what it'll allow me to do is have the mic here for when I'm

[00:46:55]   sitting here and then rotate it across the desk and have the mic a little bit closer to me and point it at me when I'm working at the bench so that's kind of the idea behind this

[00:47:07]    we'll see we will see so I've got four 6s batteries that I might be willing to part with I've got this discharging cuz I just don't I'm just I don't know I don't

[00:47:32]   think I'm going to mess with them I was so happy with the way that thing was flying on 4S that I I don't really think I need to go 6s but I've got a gnb these are all

[00:47:44]   nonh I've got a gnb 550 6s the the skinny fat ones I've got an rline 550 skinny fat and then I've got a rline 650 fat fat and a gnb 550 fat fat all absolutely brand new well I mean

[00:48:07]   technically I charged this g&b and now I'm discharging it so not exactly brand new but brand new if anybody is willing to pay whatever the hell these sell for brand new I will probably sell

[00:48:21]   them to you no promises but I probably will because I don't know I'm just right now I'm just frustrated and I want them to burn but you never know maybe this ESC

[00:48:38]   would have gone up in Flames in front of an entire pelaton of cyclists tomorrow and so maybe hooking it up to 6s prevented impending doom you never know let me try to get
