[00:09:48] with 2S is trying to find an AO like there aren't any so I I I I don't know of any I mean like there's sort of the X12 but then that's got the VTX on board and it's an oversized a so it's not going to
[00:10:09] fit in hardly any frames although it actually doesn't matter we we there's only the one frame that we want to try on 2S which is the which is the Mobula 7
[00:10:25] V3 I have one of those frames right here I just bought it and so let's see will the will the X12 I really don't want to use the X12 though comparing the the V3 to the V4
[00:10:50] frame I bet you the X12 would fit in here but I don't think the X12 is the right is the right aiio it's tough like what's what's what's the AO it's needs to have elrs
[00:11:06] built in but no VTX and it needs to be durable I don't know of any I don't I don't know of any aios that's not true I think newbie Jordan has
[00:11:22] one but with 2S the the the battery is going to be extremely heavy and motor selection will be a lot easier we can get like 14,000 KV RC and power I already have a set for one of the tiny
[00:11:46] lifters we can go like 14,000 KV and then on 2S that's the equivalent of 28,000 KV so we we'll finally have enough KV for the for the 1.6 inch by blades but
[00:12:00] the weight is just going to go nutso and one of the things that we're going to talk about today is that I'm starting to beat the hell out of these motors already because
[00:12:10] of how heavy 75 is even the 1 and a half millimeter motor shafts are starting to bend and so going to 2S is going to make that so much worse cuz the battery weight is going to go
[00:12:23] nutso and so about a month ago maybe two months ago I'd said that the the additional weight of WalkSnail basically turns a tiny whoop into a cow whoop and it's just not going to
[00:12:47] Freestyle and then I ignored myself and spent tons of time trying to force that to happen and I'm kind of back where I started where it's just for for
[00:13:06] proper free style it has to be durable it just does you're you're not going to fly it hard if it's not durable at least I'm not I I don't have the time or the patience or the money to fix
[00:13:20] something after every single time I fly it and so durability is really important if you have the patience for that then then man you're going to be able to Freestyle anything because
[00:13:32] you can always build a glass Cannon and it'll fly great but I don't I I I I just I just don't have it in me to fix stuff after every single time I fly it and so [@$#%] needs to be durable
[00:13:49] and I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I just don't know the other thing that I think is g to happen is that if we if if there is I'm
[00:14:10] sure there is I just can't think of it at the moment but if there is a 2S compatible AIO with elrs on board and no VTX that's durable sending it to S is probably going to make it not durable because
[00:14:30] though the whenever an AO is like 1S or 2S to me it's 1S and if you run it on 2S sure you'll get a couple batteries out of it but then it'll catch on fire and burn your house down I would love
[00:14:44] to be proven wrong and I'm probably willing to be proven wrong like I'm probably going to go down this Rabbit Hole because the BetaFPV BT 3.0 batteries are a lot lighter than the old
[00:14:56] school 2S batteries they're still heavy but I'm probably dumb enough to keep smashing my head into this and I believe the WalkSnail light will take 2S right it's not 1 s

[00:17:12] place but it'll be nice to it'll be nice to see if that motor size is the key that motor size being 0803 and then moving forward we can bug as many people as possible to
[00:17:34] to produce a 1 and a half mil motor shaft version of that motor and then we'll maybe we'll be able to have a freestyle 1S 75mm tiny whoop that doesn't suck because right
[00:17:49] now it's just not it's not good enough and that's not me being completely insane I am completely insane but freestyle requires power you you it just you can't freestyle with like cine whoop
[00:18:10] amounts of power not proper freestyle at least and where we're at right now and we're just not there we're just not there so that's the situation my friends

[00:18:51] a 14,000 KV that's what you would need to do and I think you would also need to motor limit's the 22,000 KV would be way too high you would need to motor limit that down to like 40% and you
[00:19:04] don't want to motor limit that low apparently that's too big of a motor limit according to electrical engineers on Facebook take that for what it's
[00:19:17] worth so because of Mobula 8 you're now going up to a 2in prop so 22,000 KV would would be too much even on 1 s or it might be corre it might be just right on 1 s but then you're doubling it with
[00:19:31] 2s so that'd be tough parkour guy says do you conformal coat your aios since they're so hard to come by I don't I've never conformal coated anything I've put tons of stuff into freshwater and they've all
[00:19:49] been fine I've yet to lose any electronics and I've put stuff in dog bowls and lakes at least a dozen times probably closer to 20 or 30 times and as long as you get them out of
[00:20:03] there as quick as you can and put them in front of a fan for 24 hours and don't plug them in that's the key let it dry before you plug it back in they're totally fine I mean it's would
[00:20:15] be kind of cool to be able to like fly in the rain but I don't know I don't necessarily want all that the the motors have bearings in them and I don't want all that moisture
[00:20:30] getting into the bearings and stuff and then it's conformal coded it's fine like I'll be less likely to put it in front of a fan for 24 hours and I mean it's just not good
[00:20:40] so I I have not conformal coded anything I do now have conformal coding but I just I have not put it on anything yet I will at some point at some point I'll build I I
[00:20:55] should do the I should should do the new live flying chasing rig with conformal actually I'm going to leave it out to remind myself to do that to do that rig because like if it starts
[00:21:09] raining while I'm chasing the cyclists or whatever it would be nice to stay up in the air the the main problem is that once water gets on the lens it's really hard to fly because it's hard to
[00:21:21] see and then they're not going to take my camera if it's all blurry with water all over it there's stuff you can try like Raina and [@$#%] to get the water beating

[00:22:01] and bells what dimension and measurements do I have to look for in compatibility how about 802 ex with regular Bell realistically parkour guy you need to stay within the same
[00:22:17] manufacturer there's a chance that between manufacturers the the the it'll line up and kind of work but I just I doubt it I I I I doubt that they're going to use the the really tough spec
[00:22:33] that I think you're going to that I think is going to bite you in the ass if you were to try going between manufacturers is if this is the Stater where does the Bell sit like how
[00:22:44] tall is the top bearing on or bushing on the Stater and then where is the point on the motor shaft that it rides on that bearing or bushing because if your magnets if this is the Stater poles here
[00:22:59] if your magnets don't perfectly line up with those Stater poles it's not going to make great power if it's sitting up or down a little bit too high you're going to take a huge hit in power
[00:23:10] so realistically mixing Bells with sters stay within the same man motor manufacturer and then just kind of cross your fingers basically we we we got away with it's appears on the the
[00:23:27] HappyModel 80 twos because it's just it doesn't make sense for HappyModel to change the Stater design on any of these motors right they've got motors with three different
[00:23:45] Bells let's just talk about their 802s they've got 802s with the onesie Bell design it looks like this it's got the sharp edges and it's a it's a one piece Bell this is their heaviest is the
[00:24:01] onesie design and then they've got motors with the ex or as Tiny whoop calls it hex motor Bell design with the rounded edges here still onepiece Bell but rounded edges
[00:24:16] technically they have the onesie design but as a two-piece Bell it's the same dimensions and then HappyModel also has the RS 0802 20,000 KV that's the motor that ships with the Mobula 7 V4
[00:24:32] well Mobula 7 1S let's call it elrs 1S on those three motors like it just it doesn't make sense that they would change the Stater they're not making a taller or a shorter motor
[00:24:46] they're just they're just changing the Bell so I'll I'll bet you at the factory there and it from the from the swapping that we've done so far it seems to answer this for us
[00:25:01] at the factory they're just cranking out all the same Staters and then they're making the three different Bell types and then just plopping the Bells on the Staters that would make the most sense
[00:25:12] the answer to your question though is you have to make sure that the motor shaft diameter is exactly the same otherwise it won't go down through the bushings or the bearings into the Stater
[00:25:27] you got to make make sure that the length of the motor shaft is the same otherwise the the the the motor Bell will be able to move up and down too much you need to make sure that the
[00:25:40] the indentation for the C clip on the bottom is in the right spot and also you got to make sure like we were talking about a minute ago that the the top of the motor shaft where it meets the Bell
[00:25:51] is the same height this way the magnets line up properly with the stator poles you got to make sure that the the Gap the the air gap basically which is the the gap between the Stater
[00:26:08] pole and the magnets is roughly the same otherwise you could have too small of an air gap and then it could just rub and not spin at all or if you have too big of an air gap it's not going to make
[00:26:19] [@$#%] for power there's a lot of things there's a lot of things that need to line up this is why I'm saying like you need to stay within the same manufacturer I don't think that there
[00:26:29] are many Motors that you can do this with like like a t-motor Pacer versus a Vel motor I wouldn't think you'd be able to do this because most Motors when when they go from one line to the
[00:26:43] next they change a bunch of stuff and if they change any one of those things it's not going to work you're not going to be able to mix Staters and bells maybe
[00:26:52] here's one time you can almost always mix Staters and bells is the same motor with different KVs the the t-motor F40 Pro 4S are really hard to find because they were discontinued a while
[00:27:09] ago at some point one of you guys found a website that had a so I run the the 19 or the 1850 KV variants because I'm on 6s but one of you beautiful people was likethe F40 Pro 4S are in
[00:27:24] stock at so and so website but they're 2400 KV the 4 skv I don't care what I break are the bells so I ordered all of them that that company had in stock and I just pulled all the bells off and now
[00:27:38] I have a whole bunch of extra bells that I can swap onto the 1850 KV Staters I've done that for years and it's totally fine so if it's the same exact motor but just the wrong KV and all you need
[00:27:51] are the bells you can do that but going from like stator size also has to be the same of course I wouldn't be able to take a bell for a 2306 and put it onto a 2207 right
[00:28:06] or 0702 802 you probably knew that already I think that's everything I think that's everything that needs to stay the same in order to do it's an interesting it's an interesting little
[00:28:22] thing to think about like is there a is there a motor Bell out there that has stronger or thi thicker magnets that we can put onto a different Stater that's a higher KV
[00:28:35] now you got me thinking about doing that on the 102s but the 102s are all completely different well in theory I'm not convinced that all of these motors are not made by the same place
[00:28:50] but the designs do look totally different on these motors a lot of times though they just changed the motor Bell like the there's not a whole lot of optimization to be had in the Stater
[00:29:05] right like you wind it to be a certain KV and then you make it like as light as possible without sacrificing durability and that's kind of it so prot to go says what's up
[00:29:18] Coal Power says we got that P just P says my stock meteor 65 Pro Motors are giving me short flight times guessing bent shafts any recommendations for replacement preferably 1 and half mm
[00:29:31] shaft P my first recommendation is going to be a is going to be to get rid of the medeor 65 Pro frame there is a huge performance Improvement to be had going down to regular old 65 the
[00:29:48] regular old 65mm frames are going to give you access to much better propeller options and because of that much better motor options too so what you should do is drop down
[00:30:02] to a cockroach 65 V3 frame or a HappyModel Mobula 6 2024 frame those are my two favorites at the moment and then buy yourself a couple of different propellers get yourself a couple of
[00:30:19] sets of the geman 1210 by blades get a couple of sets of the GemFan 129 s Tri blades and the HQ what I call YOLO props it's their Ultra lightweight triblade propeller it's their new one
[00:30:38] those are the three best propellers in all of tiny [@$#%] and then you can get 0702 Motors at a really high KV we bed has 0702 32,500 which are amazing tiny whoop sells but they're out of stock 0702
[00:30:56] 30,000 KV 32,000 KV and 36,000 KV they're all rocking that will completely transform that whoop that you've got from kind of like a heavy short runtime not
[00:31:12] really just fat rig into something that's a scalpel that you can like shred inside the house you're going to lose like probably 2 or three G and you're going to gain power
[00:31:28] and response time and the difference is unbelievable I have tried and tried and tried and tried and tried with the meteor 65 Pro frame the propeller selection sucks the frame is
[00:31:40] not all that great either I mean it's okay the frame's okay it just it doesn't it doesn't fix any problems and it creates a bunch of problems too much weight bad propeller selection
[00:31:50] because of the propeller selection you have to run bigger heavier Motors that you really don't need so and then if if you want to build something for flying outside you want to go up to
[00:32:01] 75 75 again has better propeller selection better motor selection and it's going to work a lot better outside so luckily frames are $4 so you're you're only wasting $4
[00:32:18] getting rid of that 65 Pro frame MO FPV is in the house he says do not give up we shall not wake and B well I'm sort of giving up but we'll talk more in a minute Wen big says that

[00:33:56] mainly I would do it on I would just I've had the 65mm WalkSnail freestyle setup and it flies great the problem is runtime you end up with like minute and 50c runtime and that's just not
[00:34:12] enough so going up to 75 is pretty much specifically around battery size 450s and 550s but and the the main point of it is is taking it to places where you would never ever ever be able to fly
[00:34:33] FPV and flying FPV and the worst case scenario is that the security guard laughs at you for flying a little tiny kids toy and says get out of here the whole like wanting it to be freestyle
[00:34:46] capable and jungle gym Basher capable th this is kind of me giving up on that I think that's what I'm giving up on I'm not giving up on these rigs I'm not going to tear both of these

[00:37:10] a skylight frame 17s are way too tall right remember what we talk about all the time motor sizing the most important thing in motor sizing other than just like the size and the KV
[00:37:24] the third most important thing is the ratio of height to width you want Motors that are at minimum 3 to one three wide to one tall is a freestyle motor and then five wide to one tall is a
[00:37:44] cinematic stay cool motor 1507 is too wide to one tall and that's going to leave you with a motor that overheats really quickly like you go Full Throttle and it pretty much
[00:37:59] immediately overheats and so that leaves you with a motor that's very inefficient if you're if you're pushing the throttle because it's going to be too hot and magnets hate to be hot and it's also
[00:38:10] going to be a motor that's very inconsistent depending on how hot the motor is you're going to get a different amount of power so if you Hammer the throttle and it gets really hot and then
[00:38:19] you come off the throttle and then you get back into the throttle it's going to have a completely different amount of power that second time because of how hot the motor is so 1507 is a
[00:38:29] terrible motor size as is 1408 1408 is actually even worse unless you're doing like some kind of drag racing or just building like a super for fun rig if you just want something that you can
[00:38:41] Hammer the throttle and for like a half a second you get just acres and Acres of power sure 1408 1507 all day if you want something that's actually good to fly stay the hell away from them they're
[00:38:53] they're a nightmare 1 157's were like the first micro motor that we got 3 4 years ago that made good power and so a ton of people made them and a t ton of people kind of jumped on the bandwagon
[00:39:10] and a bunch of those people unfortunately haven't gotten off that bandwagon they haven't paid any attention since and then there's those of us that have been paying
[00:39:19] attention and we've got the motors that actually fly good 144s 1505 1604 1804 we have lots and lots and lots of Motors that are the correct Stater size for something that actually flies good
[00:39:34] not something that just makes ass loads of power one of the problems with the Avada and one of the reasons why it does the yaw tumble thing is the motor sizing it runs 1507 I don't know
[00:39:45] what the new one runs but it runs a motor that very quickly overheats so when when you put it into that yall situation it's just hammering the motors and then they're overheating losing
[00:39:57] power running out of power and then the pit Loop just falls on its face and it falls out of the goddamn sky so I I I the one of the cool things about the axis kit for the Avada is that it
[00:40:11] adapts it to a four bolt motor mount and you can run any motor on there I I can't believe I haven't seen anyone somebody's probably doing it but I would love to see what a Nevada
[00:40:24] flies like on a 2004 it's probably amazing but I ain't doing it I don't have a, plus dollars to pour into a stupid stupid project I'm very curious what the what motors the
[00:40:43] evada 2 runs I wouldn't be surprised if they're a wider motor if if they're paying any attention it's going to be a wider motor what I will say is that those really tall
[00:40:54] Motors potentially can be more efficient as long as you never go full throttle to overheat them if you limit the throttle if you limit the amount of power that they make they can potentially be
[00:41:08] more efficient but what's the point if you're going to limit the amount of power that they make then you can run an even lighter motor instead of a 1507 you can run a 1506 or a 1505 so what's
[00:41:20] the point right you would have to have like you would have to have like Dynamic motor limiting where it gave you like a quarter of a second of Full Throttle and then it dynamically started pulling the
[00:41:34] the the full powerness of the power down to make sure that they don't overheat a company like DJI could probably do that they could probably figure out how to do that it's not something that
[00:41:48] BetaFlight handles right so we wouldn't necessarily be able to do that but I'm assuming that DJI is writing all of the flight software and firmware for for their own stuff so they could
[00:41:59] do that they could they could Point they could build a Thrust stand and point an infrared camera at the motors and then do testing right Mount the propellers on there run them up
[00:42:10] to full throttle and see how quickly they they they get hot and then figure out how they need to limit the throttle to keep them from getting too hot to the point where they they

[00:43:45] exactly the same so there's absolutely no durability difference between any of the high K KV 72s from HappyModel this is all of the wee bed Motors all of the tiny whoop Motors and of course all
[00:43:56] of the HappyModel branded Motors the only other high KV 702 that there is at the moment is made by Newbie drone and that might be more durable might be less durable I don't know I haven't
[00:44:11] flown them enough to see if they're more or less durable but the the HappyModel Motors are the ones that perform the best so those are the ones that you want anyway oh BetaFPV no no BetaFPV has a
[00:44:27] couple of high KV 72s no I I don't know about the durability on them I do I need to get it's might be too late I'll wait for them to do another run maybe go even higher KV or something I think
[00:44:39] it's too late to dive on the BetaFPV 702 thing 6x1 FPV says I'm running the Mobula 8 Motors in it 1103 11,000 KV I feel like I want to try 1102 14,000 KV on that I wouldn't be surprised if
[00:45:03] 1102 14,000 KV is big enough to stay cool right because you're going shorter you're not sacrificing any width the the width of the motor is what keeps it cool right The Wider the motor the more of
[00:45:20] the heat sink which is the way you can think of the Bell is in the airflow right the narrower the motor the farther the motor mot Bell is away from the actual air flow from the propellers
[00:45:29] right so you're going from 11:03 to 11:02 so the motor's going to make less potentially it's going to make less power it's going to be lighter but it's the same width so it should run
[00:45:45] cooler but then you've got higher KV so the 1103 most binding flies have Motors that are too low of a KV and the motor never gets even remove remotely warm so you're going to a smaller motor
[00:46:01] but a higher KV and a lot of times that'll actually get you more power like those 1103 11,000 at Full Throttle they're probably just like relaxed and just chilling going up to 14,000 KV
[00:46:15] that's going to make the motor work harder and then 1102 it's going to be a little bit lighter so I mean the the easy button would be would be to stay with 1103 and go up in KV but
[00:46:26] depending depending on the all up weight of the rig 1102s might be okay so that's actually what I would do I would do an the 1102 14,000 if I were you BL says hi proin to go says I'm currently
[00:46:39] running 1,500 tvl on 5 in without an action cam it looks amazing are there Nano sized ones are there nanosized ones nanosized cameras that are, 1500 TV lines man I have no idea I don't I
[00:47:00] don't pay any attention to the the TV line rating on cameras that actually reminds me though the Newbie drone bi camera the other day on the live stream I noticed that the hd0
[00:47:22] footage even though it's captured in 60 frames a second is not actually 60 frames a second it's 30 frames a second and what we were theorizing on the stream is that that is an after effect
[00:47:37] of the D interlacing basically the way that old school 640 x480 analog cameras work is they so there's a there it captures a TV line here so 60 frames a second TV line frame number one TV lines here
[00:47:57] and then frame number two TV lines down here frame number three frame number four frame number five frame number six and then the and then to interlace them you take those frames
[00:48:10] that are right next to you take frame one and frame two and you combine them well you don't combine them you you make one frame with both of them I should say right and so that would
[00:48:21] totally stand to reason that you take 60 frames frame 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and then you you smash them all together 30 frames a second so to test that I took that rig and I took my fat sharks
[00:48:41] and my immersion RC power play which records in 60 frames a second this is the combo fat sharks with this this is the combo that I've used in the past and I've gotten 60 frame per
[00:48:58] second analog footage which I used on the previous analog drift edit half of that edit is in 50% speed and it's very obviously 60 frames a second so I tested that on the same newbie drone bi
[00:49:16] camera and it was only 30 frames a second so I think that the bi camera I don't know I don't understand it's either the bi camera or it's the HappyModel 5 amp
[00:49:36] elrs 2g4 AO the VTX in it the the rig the AO that I flew the the footage from that pre the this AIO this is the t-motor 1S AIO with the VTX built
[00:49:57] this AIO going to the fat shark goggles recording on this with with the cadx ant light camera gives me 60 frames a second so I'm now in the process of like reverse engineering that
[00:50:19] and trying to figure out what I need to do to get 60 frames a second again because I really want it I I want to be able to Chase the little RC drift cars with an analog rig super lightweight
[00:50:31] with the Batwing camera mount and get 60 frames a second that in the edit I can slow down so the first thing I did this is the other analog drift car chasing rig
[00:50:47] where the I had an old school OV 231 camera on for the for Thursday but the lens started to separate from the PCB so I flew it once it was all out of focus I realized that and I put it down I've
[00:50:59] switched the camera over to this I've switched the camera over on this I actually put the Mobula 6 2024 camera in here at the moment I actually really camera and it fits in the
[00:51:15] Batwing Mount so this is going to be the first camera that I test to see if with this camera on it I can get 60 frames a second again if this doesn't work I'm going to move back
[00:51:27] to the cadx ant light even though it's not good in low light but I I this camera was a part of the setup that accomplished what I'm looking for so it's coming up it's going to get
[00:51:40] used at some point here more than likely I hope it's not the a I hope there's not something special about this t-motor the the VTX in this t-motor AO that it's somehow weirdly like the only one

[00:59:58] ass especially because it's got the carbon fiber brace and that's just going to wreck the motors these are the 14,000 KV 102s by the way no other frames that I've ever seen have Provisions to
[01:00:12] mount double 300mah batteries I don't think I'm doing the 2S thing my friends I think think that if you want a freestyle rig it's analog and if you

[01:01:58] on it meteor 75 airf frame which is holding up completely fine I know a bunch of you has have broken these 75 air frames but mine is apparently indestructible I don't understand it
[01:02:12] you're about to see I battered the living [@$#%] out of it GemFan 1610 by blades RCN Power 102 22000 which fly just like all of the other 102 22,000 plus KV Motors the
[01:02:28] flywoo the iate zings look how bad that performance is at the bottom there like it doesn't make enough power like look at that's awful the the the tune is cranked on this
[01:02:43] rig and I mean just in general it just doesn't have nearly enough power Mobula 6 canopy WalkSnail light BT 2.0 beta f PV cross style AIO all up not all up dry weight is
[01:03:02] 31.6 G it doesn't have enough power when when I'm when I'm cruising around outside I'm at like 60% throttle it sucks and then you've only got a little bit of extra throttle
[01:03:23] when I'm when I'm like trying to really move this thing around I'm damn near 100% throttle all the time it's and that's I hate that I hate rigs where you're you have to sit them at
[01:03:35] full like like so for example right like in here doing a no let's just go to the next battery this should be the next battery nope it's the same one what the hell happened hold on
[01:03:56] oh no okay it was it was the next batter all right so same rig you can tell which rig it is down here by the color of the the ducts one of them's clear one of them's black so a lot
[01:04:08] of this stuff that I'm doing in here ends up just sit that whole this is Full Throttle ready and Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle sucks dude that that is not
[01:04:20] enough power like stuff like that was cool that I came close to that but I didn't mean to come close to it I wanted to throw myself well over it but it's just
[01:04:31] doesn't make enough power to do it and a lot of these crashes are just because it doesn't have enough power to move itself like I I I expect more and it's just not there there's
[01:04:44] the the motors are not high enough KV or the rig is too heavy I mean I can't really lighten the rig up all that much if any and maintain any kind of dur ility all right and now see look here's
[01:04:58] another problem ready so we're going to go into a matty flip kind of deal here ready and here and now there's a pacing there's a pacing to Matty flips there's an amount of time that you can
[01:05:15] wait while you pitch it forward to bring it around and if the damn thing hits the ground like this that means it's too heavy or doesn't have enough power to fling itself up this is Full Throttle
[01:05:29] right Full Throttle Full Throttle and then pitch forward and it's just there's like no fling right it's not it's is when I come off the throttle here it has barely generated any upward momentum
[01:05:44] to give it hang time it's just there's a complete lack of Hang Time and then it ends up with it hitting the ground all the damn time and when you're it just feels like it has no power when
[01:05:55] you're flying it's just feels like ass like that is a full big Power Loop Look at Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle and it barely clears This and it looks kind of cool
[01:06:09] because it stayed proximity but if I want to do a real close proximity power Loop I'll do it differently I'll do it with a smaller throttle blip this is me using big throttle blips to try to throw
[01:06:21] it cleanly up over that to give myself enough time to catch it and just won't it's just doesn't have it maybe someday we'll get 25 or 27,000 KV 102s and that'll change it maybe 102 is just
[01:06:35] too small of a mo I think 102 is just too small of a motor and it's just saturating with heat like look it just it just hits the ground this is like a big tall this is like 8 feet or
[01:06:46] 10 feet high and it's like I just turn it over I try to fling it into the move there's no fling and then I turn it over the regular Pace that I do that I do power loops and Matty flips at with
[01:07:00] everything else and it just won't make it so it just it just doesn't have it's just does not have the horsepower to be like a proper freestyle rig it's like a cop this is
[01:07:16] this is like if I was to Freestyle the the cpor and that's not that's not what I want it's actually worse than that the cpor has more more power than this and so that that's about it
[01:07:32] that that's the 102s I don't I don't think I don't know if I'm going to really fly him in a freestyle setting anymore and so now I moved over I guess I did another battery on
[01:07:42] the 102s interesting wait what why did it start there this is the battery where I really started to get frustrated I think that was maybe like a half battery and then the other
[01:07:56] half of a battery or something but I'll let this go see all right so there there there's a little bit of fling there's a little bit of fling Absolutely Fresh
[01:08:04] battery and then from down low but it's just not a lot it's not a lot look it's like fling no more fling like look at the amount of time right so this is me let's do this let's go super super
[01:08:22] super slow so here we go Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle Full Throttle as soon as you see me Pitch forward that's where I'm coming off the throttle ready and so off the
[01:08:39] throttle and now so that it's got a little bit of upward throw but now it's like all and now it's starting to lose altitude already it had like five frames of upward momentum and now it's
[01:08:53] starting to come down already that's like that's not enough not enough I got lucky on that by the way I was not lined up for the the other thing that you're going to see
[01:09:07] in the end of this battery and look at that look at the look at the ugliness here ready this tune is cranked and it's still CR washy and ugly see that like like just bottoming out
[01:09:24] there no power no power and so now there was like look you can't even see the wind the the trees are barely moving but there is wind there's wind that I could feel on my face not a lot but
[01:09:38] there is wind look how bad the wind is is is kicking my ass right like you'll see I I got really stubborn about trying to hit Matty flips on these two things here and the
[01:09:53] wind was just destroying me it's coming up so the the other thing why I'm the the other reason that I'm kind of looking to give up with this is that just the the wind is just too much
[01:10:09] I I I would see see you can really see it there you can really really really see it here ready and it's like I just want to get in there and it just I I I can't turn the the wind was
[01:10:21] coming from the jungle gym towards my face and it just there's just this Plinko session of like look at that look how much it pushed me that's not like I I had the Horizon dead [@$#%]
[01:10:34] level look The Horizon's dead level look at it pushing me I would I previously I thought that if the rig was a little bit heavier it would actually help in the wind but man the analog 75mm rigs they
[01:10:49] don't they don't seem to get pushed around this bad in the wind I I I don't know why that doesn't necessarily make sense to me but I was just so frustrated with with the way this thing
[01:11:02] was kind of Performing this is me being stubborn which of course ends with it getting stuck so I I'm just done with it I just I don't like the way it flies and so that was the 102 rig and I was like
[01:11:22] all right all right maybe the beta PV 1102s so that was 102 22,000 here ready let's look at the weights again 102 22,000 31.6 gram 1102 22,000 on the 75 Pro frame 35.7 gram it is so much heavier yes the
[01:11:55] the propellers are bigger but the rig is so much heavier that but I was like well the motors are bigger the propellers are bigger I've tested this before I shouldn't have had such high
[01:12:09] hopes but here's this guy so now you can tell the difference look on the bottom you've got the black ducts you've also got more of the ducts in
[01:12:19] view yes it has a little bit more power and a little bit more fling but the extra weight really hurts it in terms of being accurate and being able to like get through these small gaps as
[01:12:34] you can see like I don't think I've hit a single Gap yet so it's carrying all that extra weight there we go although that wasn't necessarily on purpose the big problem though you'll notice all
[01:12:47] the time which is the absolutely absurd amount of jello these motors have like five batteries on them all of those batteries have been inside the house this is the first time
[01:13:03] that I've flown it outside the house and hit metal things hard and over the look at that look how bad that is I hope it's coming through the live stream it is so awful the jello is is
[01:13:17] everywhere you can like hear it and now as I fly this it gets worse and worse and worse each one of these crash es each individual one of these crashes bends these motor shafts up more and
[01:13:30] more and more I'm going to really quickly check to see if it's the propellers it's so bad that I actually had to come back and check it cuz it noticeably got worse during this this
[01:13:39] half a battery what but then I remembered that I've been running these BetaFPV 1102 motors for like two plus years on the tiny lifters I used to have two tiny lifters on these BetaFPV
[01:13:58] 1102s they were the the lower KV ones the 14,000 and what I learned is that whatever the hell yes it's a 1 and a half millimeter motor shaft but whatever material that BetaFPV chose for these 1
[01:14:15] and a half mm motor shafts is incredibly soft and these motors are super super super fragile because of that like I said we're going to kind of confirm that in a minute by changing the
[01:14:28] props out but you can see it in this in this video the beginning of this flight footage the jello was not it was there but it wasn't nearly as bad as what you're like look at this look how
[01:14:41] bad that is it's awful and it's so bad that it's starting to throw the pit Loop off and then it's losing power because the PID Loop is overactive and the tune is not aggressive enough
[01:14:53] already I think this is me bringing the tune down a little bit although I thought it would record no no it's not recording it because this is the on no that was me bringing the tune
[01:15:06] down I wonder why look how bad it is it's just useless so these motors are now wrecked these are these motors have like six batteries on them and they're destroyed in theory we we we'll double
[01:15:17] check that but the I'm just like I'm sad I'm very sad my friends and this still doesn't have enough power like maybe kind of it's hard to tell through the the Jello-O and the horrible
[01:15:39] vibrating I hope you guys can see how bad it is in the in the live stream if not I guess I can like upload this to YouTube and you can watch it's horrible though they take my take my
[01:15:47] word for it's absolutely [@$#%] taco so there's that it definitely has more power though like like still not enough but like look at this throw fresh battery throw like
[01:16:09] that had a little bit of upward momentum but it's still flies like a goddamn School Bus man and in fairness some of these crashes are pretty hard but like this is what I want I want a jungle
[01:16:21] gem Basher and if this isn't going to work as one that's it's analog for this stuff if if if I have to go analog for it to be light and durable enough to do
[01:16:32] this kind of stuff then that's it that that's what we do I'm not going to keep bashing my head into the wall with these WalkSnail setups if the extra six grams is enough that it wrecks the
[01:16:44] flight performance Andor the durability Andor whatever so I was so excited to fly these too yesterday I I really thought like I don't
[01:17:01] know I don't know so let's check and see if it's the propellers or if it's the motors that's very easy to do we're just going to do it in Turtle mode I'm going to feel for it you guys are
[01:17:15] going to listen for it you probably won't be able to hear it but I should be able to feel it so to check the easiest way to check if your propellers or motor shafts are bent to fire up your
[01:17:26] transmitter flip it into Turtle mode only do this on tiny little rigs don't do this on anything bigger than a tiny whoop hold the rig in your hand arm it and just feel for the
[01:17:42] vibrations on each motor individually so spin up each motor at a Time come on now there we go hold it in your hand so you can feel the vibrations also listen for the sound it's going to make and
[01:18:03] very gently spin up each motor by going into the corners that'll spin just one motor at a time and you don't spin them full blast all most of the vibrations happen at
[01:18:15] cruising which is like 30 to 40% throttle so that's you're going to be real gentle and so gently spin it up feel for the amount of vibrations and then go to the next motor one motor is
[01:18:27] going to be clean and that's your Baseline boy oh boy all these are wrecked motor 3 is not motor 3 is the cleanest usually the rear Motors will be the cleanest because you crash face
[01:18:45] first more more often than not motor number two is bad motor number four is really bad all right so that's your Baseline now you change propellers sometimes you can look at you
[01:19:11] can spin it really slow and look at the propeller and see that the blades are one blade is swinging higher than the other in this case I can't see that in most cases you can't see that
[01:19:27] all right so that's how you do it now we're going to change the props and see if that improves anything while you're at it you can also do that test with the propellers off which I'm going to do
[01:19:37] so we'll pull the propellers we'll do that test again props off again what you're really looking for is is one motor hopefully you've got one motor that's relatively clean and then you're
[01:19:52] feeling for how much more vibration there is on the other Motors than that clean one if you've got like a fresh motor that hasn't been crashed you can swap that on that's like the best way to test it but
[01:20:09] usually the motors in the rear are going to be plenty clean for you to really see that the fronts are banged up so I've got the propellers off this is the Clone prop popper which I
[01:20:24] actually like better than the original prop popper we'll hook the battery back up here give it a second to connect and we'll do that test one more time now that the propellers are off
[01:20:39] you can do this test on any quad all the way up to 10 in whatever because it's safe with the propellers off and you can just sit here and really quickly spin each one up and see if there's one motor
[01:20:52] that is super banged up so motor 4 I'm sorry motor one and again you're only testing the low RPMs Beyond 50% RPM you're not going to learn anything you can also kind
[01:21:04] of like look sideways at the motor shaft and sometimes you can see it spinning so motor number one which is in the rear which is usually clean doesn't feel that bad still feels
[01:21:16] pretty clean motor 2 oh motor 2 is actually fine motor 3 wow motor 3 feels as bad as motor 1 motor 3 feels worse than motor one I have had these motors on a different
[01:21:36] frame so maybe these two Motors were on the front motor 4 is demolished motor 4 is in the front and it's wrecked Motors three and four are the worst Motors three and four
[01:21:51] must have been on the front in the previous build motor 4 is the worst and let's see if I can see the motor shaft vibrating I can't one of the other things you can do put it down spin the
[01:22:10] motor up slow take your fingernail if this is the motor shaft take your fingernail while the motor is spinning slowly and push it against the motor shaft and if the motor shaft is bent
[01:22:19] it'll it'll vibrate against your finger I'm going to do that there motor 4 that's bad motor 4 is bad we're going to do motor 2 because that was one of the clean ones as
[01:22:33] a motor 2 doesn't feel very good either motor 2 sounds okay but I can feel the motor shaft vibrating back and forth let's try motor one interesting motor one the motor
[01:22:47] shaft is not vibrating very much back and forth motor 2 the motor shaft is vibrating way worse let's try motor 3 motor 3 is actually not too bad in terms of what I can feel on my finger
[01:23:02] and then motor 4 motor 4 is hammered ass so there you go friends that's how you careful if you're doing that on a WalkSnail rig it's going to overheat get your gangly fan out or just
[01:23:16] blow on it now I'm going to put a fresh set of propellers on and I am going to fly this one more time but I can feel that the motors are hammered the other the other
[01:23:35] possibility is that the propellers are just out of balance I've heard from a bunch of people that they've not had any luck with these 455mm propellers being balanced a bunch of people say that
[01:23:48] these are especially the tri blades I definitely noticed that the triblade 45 mil propellers are not balanced at all like so much so that I can't even run them but the by blades seemed okay in
[01:24:03] the past but now all of a sudden they're just smashed so also In fairness a lot of the testing in the FL why this popped up all of a sudden I think is because most of the testing that I've done with
[01:24:22] these rigs has been inside in low light in low light the shutter speed slows down and that hides a lot of the jello yesterday was noon that I was doing that testing so I mean it was
[01:24:36] cloudy but still the sun's very bright the shutter speed is going to speed up and that's what really brings out Jello one/ 1200th of a second and above shutter speeds you start to really
[01:24:47] notice Jell-O if there's vibrations so I'm going to put an absolutely fresh set of propellers on here I'm going to really quickly send them down the well before I put them down
[01:25:00] the pin Vise I only have two pin vises left one of them is the is the one that I tried to heat oh no these propellers are the perfect inner diameter always check first don't just
[01:25:11] send them down the pin Vise before checking their fit I would have made these too loose so I can't I guess I could put this up outside and test this right now but I'll I don't
[01:25:25] know if I'm going to do that I'm just going to spin these up in my hands and we'll see if I can feel a difference from where it was before especially now that I know which
[01:25:41] motor shafts are wobbling against my fingernail that is super helpful to know to try to kind of troubleshoot this okay absolutely brand new propellers are on here I've never run
[01:25:57] any of these Coral props on this before I'm going to put these light blue props that I was running aside because there's a chance that they are just bent to [@$#%] and we're going to hook this
[01:26:12] battery back up you can also do this in the motors Tab In BetaFlight it's a little bit easier to do it that way but it's not as fast it's nice to be able to do it with throtle mode
[01:26:24] in my bare hands all right so motor one motor one was one of the ones that was vibrating on my fingernail motor two motor three M four it's maybe ever so slightly better but it's
[01:26:49] not now there's too many Vibes I've done this test a lot and so I just have like a mental barometer or whatever for how much vibration is too much vibration man motor one is really
[01:27:14] bad on the tiny lifters when I moved away from the BetaFPV 1102s to the RC and Power 102 the durability of the rig went way up and I was actually able to crash
[01:27:30] the rig before it started to get Jello all over the place so these BetaFPV 1102s just I I I think that whatever whatever metal they used for the motor shafts is a cheaper softer metal and
[01:27:48] as soon as you start crashing it's just they just get all bent up which is a shame because they make great power out of the box the these 11 and they're light the 1102s are very
[01:28:01] lightweight and they make really good power I'll fly this one more time but I I think that's kind of it I I I can't have it be fragile that's a that's a deal breaker the weight of
[01:28:16] this rig with the with this heavy ass 75 Pro frame is going to be even harder on the motors right it's just going to have much more energy when it comes in to crash and that energy has to
[01:28:32] go somewhere this is also a fairly stiff frame and so the the stiffer the the part of the frame where the motor mounts to the more of that energy is going to get tied up in the motor itself
[01:28:47] right when you crash the the guard pushes into the propeller and then that pushes on the motor and that's where the the the motor shaft bending happens some of these frames the the
[01:28:59] standoffs are kind of soft so the motor will move like as you crash the the motor will will bend with the crash and that's going to more slowly dissipate that energy coming in and that saves
[01:29:13] Motors this is why carbon fiber frames on these tiny whoops just Massacre Motors U because you're solidly mounting the motor it's got nowhere to go every time you crash all that energy gets
[01:29:26] dumped into the motor shaft it just bends the [@$#%] out of the motor shaft so and this meteor 75 Pro frame is is pretty stiff the meteor 75 airf frame is much more bendy which is
[01:29:40] actually going to help the motors the the motors will move on the shafts in the CRA on their bases I should say in the crashes and that'll help the motors survive longer whereas this is
[01:29:54] way stiffer so it's stiffer and it's heavier and that's going to really M I can't believe in that during that battery I was able to watch the jello get worse and worse and worse from
[01:30:07] the crashes that were happening usually it takes a bunch of batteries to see that kind of a degradation in in the Jib Jab but what that does mean is that these light blue propellers that
[01:30:23] were on are really not bent up so I can run them again although I don't know if I'm ever going to run 45 mil again it's not until there's a lightweight frame I don't think it really makes much
[01:30:35] sense sad man I'm sad I'm sad this whole thing I've put so much time and effort and energy into this and it's just like I I just can't figure it out and and
[01:30:52] 2s doesn't seem it's I'm not running those heavy ass batteries and there are no frames that are going to take double 300mah BT 2.0 batteries in a way that's not like janky
[01:31:06] and shitty and when you start crashing hard if you're not if your battery Mount solution is not like Dead locked in the batteries are going to move all over the place they're going to
[01:31:16] eject you're going to lose the rig it's no good smoking dog Kujo says newbie here how do you determine motor size when deciding on a build can you explain what the KV what the KV of a motor and how
[01:31:29] to use it when deciding on a motor thank you that is a massive conversation Smoking Dog the the the easiest answer I can give you to that is to look at BNF's if if
[01:31:47] you want to do a 2in toothpick build look at all of the 2in tooth pick binding flies that are out there look at what motors those guys are using and then pick a motor that is either
[01:32:02] slightly bigger or slightly higher KV most of the BNF's don't have great flight performance because they choose Motors that are a little bit too small that way when they crash they
[01:32:15] don't hit as hard they're not going to be as as rough on the ESC it makes a more durable rig and if you're building a BNF to sell to hundreds if not thousands of people it makes
[01:32:28] a lot of sense to make it more durable than a total rocket ship so that's the easiest way to do it for me I've just built hundreds of different combinations of rigs over
[01:32:41] the last seven plus years so I just kind of know it and if you come into the chat and say I'm looking to build a really powerful 2in freestyle non two toothpick build I'll tell you
[01:32:55] here's the motor that that I would run personally on a rig but that that's the only way I can answer that question it's as that's a really tough
[01:33:09] question but looking at the BNF's and then scaling up a little bit is is sort of the Easy Button and then you said can you explain what the KV of a motor is I think is
[01:33:22] what you meant to say it's basically the RPM that it'll turn the the higher the KV the higher of an RPM the motor will turn if the KV is too high then so if you've got a tiny little motor
[01:33:38] and then it's got a really high KV and it's got a really draggy propeller on it there's a point where the little tiny motor will not have enough power to push the propeller any faster
[01:33:54] and so what can happen is like you start to raise the throttle and you get to like 80% throttle and as you keep adding throttle it doesn't make any more power it's already given all that it has to
[01:34:08] give and so from 80% to 100% throttle you will send that motor More Voltage and you will use more battery but it will all it will do is turn that extra battery power into heat it won't make
[01:34:23] any actual extra power so you got to make sure that you don't go too high on the KV because you can get into a situation you can kind of feel it like if if you have a rig that like
[01:34:36] 60% power versus 100% power there's no difference in acceleration that's a that's a scenario where that's happening but usually the problem that we have is that the KVs are too low on Motors so that's
[01:34:52] that's pretty rare more often there's performance being left on the table because the M manufacturers are not listening to those of us that actually fly these things hard CIS fbb says
[01:35:04] what do you think the 103 22,000 KV would work well on got I'm trying to figure out what to do with them 2 and a half inch props 2 and a half inch by blades I think is what the 103 22000
[01:35:18] maybe the the 2-in by blades but definitely the 2 and 1/2 in lightweight byblade propellers I think is what the the 103s are destined for I have to do something with mine I guess
[01:35:36] I'll I guess I'll continue to punish myself and I'll swap them onto this after I fly it on these 1102s but I don't know 103 is an interesting size 22,000 KV is also an interesting KV for a

[01:37:05] product a week later they discontinue it and they change it and they introduce a new one and a lot of times that new one that they introduce will not be durable so there's a the
[01:37:17] the turnover in FPV is just absolutely brutal and it's super frustrating Bora J says would you care to recommend some budget race builds for 4S I'm the wrong guy to ask about racing I have
[01:37:33] no concept of racing I have no interest in it so I have only 4S for now but I would love to race a bit I don't care if I will not be competitive versus 6s guys just for fun well I
[01:37:48] mean racing is 99% pilot and 1% gear so I mean if you're willing to put the time and effort in you could probably whoop up on your on your local sixs guys by just outworking them just being a
[01:38:03] better pilot if you get to like multi- GP or or like a more national competition you're going to have to have the right gear but on the on the local scale as long as you don't
[01:38:18] have a couple of the really fast guys if you're in Tennessee you're screwed Evan's gonna whoop the [@$#%] out of you but most local races are not don't have
[01:38:27] such highle Pilots I just I I just have no idea my on gear my gut says just to buy whatever fly 533 cells their stuff tends to be at the moment I believe the best in

[01:39:33] assuming Ultra means ultra light I would maybe stick with the regular one this is going to be more durable that's a really aggressive arm design on that Ultra one so this is
[01:39:45] probably the right frame and then hopefully they've got a 4S KV on their Motors 270 KV that's a 6S KV you're going to be looking for like 24 or 2500 KV looks like they've really moved over
[01:40:07] to they don't even tell you what the KV is on this motor what the hell there we go 1960 that's going to be too low I mean basically you just want to look for a
[01:40:17] 2207 in 2400 KV minimum 2400 2500 maybe even 2600 KV I would look for the highest KV possible like 2600 and then just motor limit's down a little bit's doesn't look like you're going to get
[01:40:34] anything from here though they don't have they don't have any 4sv 22 2207 Motors that's a shame maybe they do here you go so this is a little bit of a heavier motor but it's awesome because it's
[01:40:53] inexpensive and they're apparently really durable so this is what I would personally do emac Eco 2 20 hopefully they have a 2207 this would be okay 2306 2400 KV ah here we go here

[01:44:39] work at 8: a.m. or 9:00 a.m. whatever the hell it was and from 8 or 9 until noon I couldn't take phone calls I couldn't do anything I had to like I was like holding tissues up to my nose cuz

[01:45:17] just give you the tiniest little bit of it in these injections and it sucks but it did work it builds your resistance to it right they give you a little bit of it and then a little bit
[01:45:27] more a little bit more a little bit more it did work eventually but then when you stop doing that it's stops working right like it gets better and better and better and then when you stop
[01:45:38] it gets worse but it got to the point where it was like livable and it is totally livable then and then eventually I moved away from that apartment complex and it got way better and here
[01:45:49] where we're at now in lawrencville Georgia it is the best that's ever been but what's interesting is like now like now that I'm not constantly in this like allergic State when I get them at all
[01:46:04] I'm like I get super frustrated because it hasn't been like an everyday thing but whatever first world problems I guess parkour guy says how does a
[01:46:16] taller motor cause more power or the little effects adding a millimeter to height height versus width does width does for example 2207 and 2306 is a millimeter on the opposite axis isn't it
[01:46:32] the same amount of wire the the height so the the magnets are like this and then the vertical part of the Stater pulls the magnet over so when you look at the windings around each
[01:46:48] Stater pole they go like this and the only part of these windings that does anything is the vertical part so when you make the Stater taller there's more of a vertical part of the winding and
[01:47:00] that's the part of the winding that does all the work so the vertical part of the winding being taller allows you to also run a taller magnet and then that creates a lot more power if you then
[01:47:12] take the stator and you rotate it like this so that you're looking at it if you make it bigger like this that vertical part of the winding moves out a little tiny bit and that creates a
[01:47:27] little bit more mechanical torque right it's a longer lever so to speak so when the motor gets bigger like this it does add a little bit of power the problem is the Bell becomes heavier and
[01:47:43] the magnets sit farther out so centrifugal force wise the situation gets worse as you make a motor wider but the wide motor is is more in the airf flow and it runs cooler so the magnets
[01:47:58] run cooler and they potentially work better from running cooler if on the smaller motor they're overheating if they're not overheating then you haven't accomplished anything so there's there's
[01:48:09] like all these roads that all intersect right how hot are the magnets running how tall are the Stater windings how much mechanical torque and so but what we've
[01:48:24] learned is that making and also you got to think of it percentage wise 2207 or 2306 to 2307 6 to7 that's like a 12 point something per increase it might even be more than that right 22 to 23
[01:48:46] that's like a 6% that's like a 4% increase right so a 4 percent increase is way way way less than 12 or 13 or whatever it is so the extra millimeter of height is a much
[01:48:59] bigger percentage change than the extra millimeter of width plus the extra millimeter of height doesn't make the Bell get wider for the the the the weight of the Bell affects the
[01:49:14] response time and that's how good the pit Loop works that's just like what the rig feels like when you when you move the sticks around so there's a lot of things that going on that are going
[01:49:25] on there of course 07 making the Bell get taller the magnets get taller so the Bell does weigh more on 2207 but it weighs more and you get 133% increase in the power making Dimension
[01:49:40] which is the vertical Dimension as the motor get the other thing that happens if you're looking at it like this as the motor gets bigger and bigger and bigger like this the part of the
[01:49:51] winding that does no no work gets bigger and bigger and bigger as this increases we only have 12 or 14 Stater poles so as the motor blows up like this the Stater poles go and this
[01:50:07] part of the winding that does very little to nothing gets bigger and bigger and bigger so that's just more and more wasted weight so if you want more power from a motor ideally you want
[01:50:19] to make it taller but there's a point where you can where you've made it Too Tall and it can't stay cool enough and there's a lot of inefficiency in that so motor design is wild man and
[01:50:34] 5-in motors have had the most development and you see the big performers are 2306 and 2207 227s outperform the [@$#%] out of 2306 in bench tests but then in the air 236s are
[01:50:52] significantly lighter and they stay cooler so you still see a lot of people running 236s but 2207 is definitely the motor that on paper and in all of the bench tests just demolish
[01:51:07] but then once you actually put them on a quad and fly it around if it's a lighter weight 5-in rig 236s are kind of magic 227s just feel awful heavy and they have tons of power in my opinion
[01:51:22] too much power so it's all about there's this is the really fascinating side of FPV from like an engineering standpoint is like there's not a one-size fits-all solution to kind
[01:51:35] of anything every pilot is different every rig is a different weight everybody wants their footage to look a little bit different and if you pay attention to the technical side which
[01:51:46] not many people do but a bunch of us do you can really custom build a rig to spef specifically fit your exact needs that's something that I do in a service that I call build planning over

[02:13:53] gains to prevent from the little Bobble that you can sometimes get from the motors spinning up or slowing down at slightly different rates and or there's an AER there's some aerodynamic
[02:14:05] weirdness that happens when you've got the rig that's accelerating through the air and all four Motors are cranking really hard and then all of a sudden the motors just stop and there's there
[02:14:18] like namely if your center of gravity is not quite right if your center of gravity is a little bit too far forward or rearward that side of the Quad can like kind of want to put when when you
[02:14:31] chop the throttle that side of the the rig will have a little bit more momentum and it can do a little Bobble we call them throttle chop bobbles or throes and anti-gravity just
[02:14:42] completely gets rid of them anti-gravity is one of the things that BetaFlight has that none of the other firmwares have that's a really big deal there's a bunch of other things that are
[02:14:53] the same kind of thing but anti-gravity is is amazing we back before anti-gravity we troubleshot that ugly Bobble by doing something every single time we chop the throttle so you most OG
[02:15:11] Pilots you'll notice they never just go full throttle and then chop the throttle they always go full throttle and then as they're chopping the throttle you'll pitch forward you'll pitch back you'll

[02:16:50] like you comp compare like the 2604 to like a 2004 the 2004 is going to be way lighter and it's not going to make that much less power it is going to get a little bit warmer though so these really
[02:17:06] really really wide Motors they're going to be cool at all times you could sit Full Throttle and they'll stay cool so that's what they're good for unfortunately though it's not most
[02:17:18] people don't need motors to run that cool they they've gone like too far 5 to one is the the stopping point for for most folks you really don't need to go to six to1 or 7 to one unless you've got
[02:17:32] some weird scenario where you're like blasting the throttle all the time and just sitting at like really high throttle values that's what those Motors would do better than than
[02:17:43] others frer says my 26 gram all up weight ultimate tiny whoop I think that's utw with 36,000 KV got flown outside in the wind and it did all right for a 65mm the the 65s I mean they they do

[02:49:32] about using the RC and power smoks plus 1404 2750 with GemFan hurricane 3023 blades on 4S 2050 KV is a 6S KV only for so if if you're on 6s which I don't well you're not you're on 4S
[02:49:47] for 4S you need to be absolute bare minimum 4,000 KV what you really want is 45 or 4600 KV for 3in tri blades so those Motors won't work but luckily if you're going to go 1404 there
[02:50:02] is one 1404 motor that demolishes the rest which is the t-motor 4600 KV there's no reason to run any other 1404 motor in all of the motor testing that I've seen from multiple people that
[02:50:16] t-motor just shits on everything I don't think I've ever seen those RC and power smokes tested but again that KV is way too low for 4S anyway so it doesn't really matter parkour guy says
[02:50:28] 2024 Mobula 6 had Direct soldered Motors can you install aftermarket connectors on it you cannot they spaced the the motor pads out too far and you cannot use the the motor connectors so

[03:20:24] throttle is only hovering around like 30 31 what happens when I put the nose down and start boogieing 37 I saw 40 so if if the nose is down and I've started really kind of
[03:20:38] cooking around the room which is like typically how I this is the normal cruising speed that I've got that throttle mid is at is at the right point so that's one of the
[03:20:52] biggest problems with throttle Expo is it kind of forces if you're going to run a lot of it to Band-Aid these really high KB Motors it's going to kind of lock you in to a cruise speed and so for
[03:21:09] example if I slow down and I fly around at like 33 34 33 34% throttle the throttle Expo is not working as well which is kind of annoying because when I slow down this is when I
[03:21:24] want to do these like super Precision like low altitude things so I mean that's just that's one of the places where a lighter weight rig on Lower power motors is going to potentially be better
[03:21:44] because you won't have to be as extreme on the on the throttle Expo last battery we got our six inyou should as well fly your six batteries today my friends shouldn't
[03:21:57] just be me that's one of the really intriguing things about the Mobula 6 2024 is that it's so light that you don't need to run these Mega KV Motors and it ends up being a rig that
[03:22:13] you can more confidently fly like you can like sort of more dynamically fly it you can go really slow or you can put the nose down and start hauling
[03:22:24] ass chasing the little RC drift cars is cool because they they kind of travel the same Speed Most of the time so you can really nail down the the the throttle Expo gate runs off a little power
