[00:01:38] heyyy he friends my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti welcome to the show it's Monday we're going to do Monday things I don't don't have like big plans
[00:03:01] for for this live stream but there's all kinds of stuff going on we got mailbag U box from rdq and a box from one of you beautiful bastards I'm putting propellers on a
[00:03:15] rig right now the props are sitting a little bit too Loosely on the motor shafts so of course the fix that we talk about all the time is your least favorite sharp tipped fine tipped
[00:03:27] tweezers and then you put it into the prop and you rotate it around and you're you're looking to dig into the plastic and the inside of the propeller you're going to you're going to dig into
[00:03:37] the plastic and that's going to raise up the plastic on the outsides of where you're digging it in and that makes the propeller then fit much better on the motor and not fly off and you don't have
[00:03:47] to like screw around with superg glue or any other nonsense and there we go that flight footage you were just looking at is the 75 Pro WalkSnail rig that I moved the RC and power
[00:04:05] 1003 22,000 KV Motors I took the my my fancy new Dremel bits and grinded down the this stupid lip that BetaFPV puts around where the motor sits on this 75 Pro frame so that these 103s
[00:04:25] would sit flat on the motor mounts and then I ran this on both the 45mm by blades and these 45mm Tri blades and what's super interesting is that the by blades were actually worse
[00:04:45] than the tri blades in terms of jello which is a reversal from when I tested those both of those propellers on the BetaFPV 102s so that's super weird but I I've heard from a bunch of people
[00:05:05] that they've had a really hard time with these 45 mimet props being out of balance and so I'm oh so if if you couldn't tell because the live stream quality is [@$#%] there's Jello all the
[00:05:19] all over the place in that footage the footage that you were just watching hopefully you were able to see it but in case you weren't on my side here it's all jelly and the 103s it's
[00:05:35] it's less jelly than what we were looking at yesterday with the BetaFPV 102s because these 103s are like fresh the these BetaFPV 102s probably have 10 15 batteries on them these 103s have
[00:05:55] one battery now two batteries on them so it's definitely a little bit better on these more fresh Motors but the jello is definitely still there which leads me to believe that it's
[00:06:13] not just the 102s being weak although I I think that they are it's also apparently that these 45mm propellers are just not super well balanced also in In fairness
[00:06:30] this has always been a problem like the I dealt with this issue with the tiny lifters like crazy and at the end of the day with the tiny lifters you got to have fresh Motors and you
[00:06:46] got to have fresh props you you can't crash those tiny lifters a bunch they start to develop more and more Jello-O seemingly every single crash trying to do the the the what I think
[00:07:01] is going on is that with tiny whoops the vibrations are all up in the higher frequencies which is great for filtering in BetaFlight but it's not good for but the the higher frequency vibrations
[00:07:18] also cuse Jello so jell has always been an issue with smaller than 5 in quads it's an issue with 5in rigs as well but not nearly as bad and so you can either only fly in lower
[00:07:39] light like only fly at golden hour and Beyond or we can just I I'm my plan is just to kind of keep going and just so I ran out of daylight today but the next thing that I'm going to do with
[00:07:58] this rig that we were just looking at that's all jelly on both 45mm props is just to put the 1.6 in props on it the the GemFan 1610s I'm just going to put those under this Frame it's going to
[00:08:10] fly like hell because this Frame is heavy it's heavy because it's bigger for the bigger propellers so with the smaller props on I'm going to lose a bunch of thrust it's going to fly like
[00:08:19] [@$#%] but I can at least see if there's jell and if there's not then 45 mm props can go to help forever it's an awkward propeller size anyway this 75 Pro frame is
[00:08:36] obnoxiously heavy so I'm almost kind of sort of hoping that's what it is so that we can just say nope 45mm props are out of balance which again I've heard from a bunch of people and then
[00:08:55] we have one less stupid Pro frame to deal with and we can just focus on the regular 75mm builds with 1.6 in props and try to figure out how the hell to get enough power out of this setup
[00:09:14] speaking of the 2S Journey has officially begun I just like half an hour ago put in a tiny whoop water let's actually pull it up for for a bunch of stuff and we're going to try it initially I'm
[00:09:36] going to try it on all of these not all of these but a set or two of these 102 102 22,000 KV Motors and I'm just going to motor limit the [@$#%] out of them I'll motor limit them down to
[00:09:54] like 60% just to get started and then I will creep that number up a little bit as needed in in terms of Power and once I figure out like where where it's this is the really nice thing
[00:10:12] about buying Motors that are obnoxiously high in KV is that you can motor limit down a bunch to like 50% 60% and then you can just fly it and does this have enough power or not if it does do the
[00:10:27] math and see what motors you would need to get to run them at like 90 or 95 or 100% And then you buy those Motors if you need more power you bring it up to 70% fly it see how it is if you need
[00:10:40] more power you bring it up to 80% at that point at the point that you're at like 80% you're good to go just stick with those Motors and leave them scaled to 80% there's there's very little
[00:10:54] negative effects of having your motor limiting at 80% or % so in that case you got away with it you didn't buy the lower KV Motors and run them at 100% and not have to have enough power so
[00:11:09] that's sort of the plan from from Tiny woop.com I got a couple of these the 300mah 2S BT 3.0 batteries I'm just starting with two because for all I know the jello is going to get worse or
[00:11:25] whatever the Run time's not going to be good I'm starting small and then we'll we'll Beef It Up from there these so it with these batteries Jesse has a great little section here
[00:11:37] compatible frames and so these are the two compatible frames that are on the that are on his website the 75x V2 and then the regular 75x so I snagged one of each of these
[00:11:55] frames this is the AIO that I'm going to give a try basically because it doesn't have a USB port there's a there's another AO that I'm kind of interested in where the hell is
[00:12:14] it's not in here but it's made by Darwin Darwin has a one to3s AIO that I almost decided to get instead of this guy but that Darwin AIO has the it has the USB port and one of the
[00:12:36] things that I noticed here is that Jesse shows on the Mobula 6 V you can run the Mobula 6 V4 frame with these batteries but you have to remove this plastic piece well once you remove this plastic
[00:12:50] piece the USB port is going to be right here and it's pretty much the same height so if there's a USB port the battery is going to slam right into it and I would like to try the mob the this
[00:13:01] should say Mobula 7 I would like to try the Mobula 7 V4 frame on this 2S setup so in order to kind of cover myself I figure and have the most frame options I figure it's a good
[00:13:17] idea to start with this aiio plus it's pretty cheap 45 bucks ain't too bad I don't I didn't get the V I got the V3 version of it with serial elrs HD only no OSD chip on on board it does
[00:13:30] have elrs on board though so it better have elrs on board tell me this wo okay good yep it's got elrs on board there it is there's the little antenna I was going
[00:13:47] to say there's there's no there's no antenna and there's no UFL what the hell's going on but you can see the antenna right here see the little red bastard so we'll give this AIO a shot first
[00:14:02] see how it is I got a five pack of these guys so that I can charge the damn batteries up from my regular charger nope that ain't gonna work I just realized that this is oh
[00:14:19] man okay well wait wait no no no well [@$#%] I'll figure something out I I think I'll figure something out this I I guess this is it I'll figure it out I thought that adapted it
[00:14:43] to for some reason I thought that adapted it to two pin that was a weird thing to assume I got just one of these the BT 3.0 90° pigtail I got another five pack or
[00:14:59] six- pack whatever the hell it is of these 180° BT 2.0 pigtails I'm putting one of these into like pretty much every giveaways giveaway that goes out and then in the spirit of of
[00:15:12] supporting folks custom FPV makes a couple of really cool 3D printed containers here this guy is looking really slick put four these guys and then just drop it into
[00:15:27] your drop it into your bag and then this one I'm really well this is actually really cool too this is another version of the t7000 the black opaque E6000 basically this stuff is
[00:15:40] apparently not as hard to squeeze out of the tube so this is a new thing for them t7000 V2 just like E6000 but it's black instead of clear and then this is the one that I'm really excited
[00:15:51] about little prop popper kit holds holds a prop popper and a bunch of propellers marked clockwise and counterclockwise just a slick little thing right now my extra prop popper
[00:16:04] just bounces around all over the place and it's kind of got like a sharp edge on it so it's just a matter of time before it like smashes a hole in the immersion RC power play and I
[00:16:13] like to support folk so these two 3D printed things are designed and printed by custom FPV and let's support each other whenever we can so the the 2S Journey has
[00:16:29] begun For Better or Worse hopefully better we'll see one thing is for sure as long it's going to have enough power the the 102s at 22,000 KV on 2S I can't imagine that I'll run them at 100%
[00:16:49] although that AIO is like 15 amp so technically I could technically I could run them at 100% I'll probably end up limiting them down I my guess at the end of the day is
[00:17:01] going to be like 80% it's for sure going to have enough power the the the problem is going to potentially be durability because of the extra weight that we're gaining it's
[00:17:14] going to pick up it's not going to be this this 75 Pro frame can go to hell it's going to be in a regular 75 frame and I'm going to try it in the the 75 air frames first cuz they're the
[00:17:26] lightest weight no I'm not because they won't hold the battery I'm going to try it in the first thing I'm going to try is the Mobula 7 V3 frame because everybody says that
[00:17:37] this Frame is damn near indestructible indestructible so this is the first thing I'm going to try it in but I don't think the battery is going to fit in this slot I think the battery is going
[00:17:47] to be too small for this but I'll give it a shot when it comes in so either this Frame or Mobula 7 V4 frame with which Jesse showed all you need to do is remove these little supports so
[00:18:02] this Frame will be a good option and then those other two frames that we just looked at so we'll get it into get into a frame get it built it'll definitely have enough
[00:18:17] power God only knows if it's going to be durable I don't think it'll be durable in the Mobula 7 V4 frame because I've broken this frame on a s setup I've broken this frame on a 1S analog setup
[00:18:33] what broke though was the little pieces that you need to remove I've never broken anywhere else in this Frame I've only ever broken those little support pieces that I'm going to need to cut off
[00:18:43] so I don't know maybe this Frame will be durable enough if it's not hopefully one of those other two frames will be durable enough and then the last thing that I'm worried about is the jello situation
[00:18:56] if if I can't get it to be clean during the day and not a hot jelly mess that's kind of sort of maybe a deal breaker I mean maybe not because like I'm kind of it's the main purpose is to
[00:19:14] fly it around like weird sketchy spots like malls and [@$#%] and those are pretty dimly lit so look I'm gonna do all of this I'm gonna test everything that I possibly can and then
[00:19:29] I'm going to pick whatever setup is the best mix of clean footage enough power enough runtime what might happen on 2S is our runtime might go through the roof so we might be able to get like
[00:19:44] four or five minutes out of it I don't I don't think we'll get quite that much but you never know going up from 1S to 2S there's going to be a Mega Jump in efficiency similar to like when we go
[00:19:57] from four when we went to from 4S to 6s on 5in rigs way back when so I don't know we'll see it might be too heavy the the extra I think it's going to gain about six extra grams that
[00:20:09] might be too much that could be the other problem with it but let's find out and once I've done that I've tried it all and I'll I'll I'll I'm not going to have two of them I'm really
[00:20:27] looking forward to finishing this up so that I can pull one of these apart and put it back into I think a 65mm frame or maybe I'll move it over to something without ducts I'm super
[00:20:41] interested in sub 250 FPV on Instagram's 2in frame called the bat maybe might not be called the bat but I don't I it's I don't want to have two of these 75 5 mm rigs built I
[00:21:00] just have to do this because I'm doing all of this testing and I really need to do head-to-heads on this stuff so it'll be really cool to get this done and then I'll have one WalkSnail
[00:21:11] 75 everybody that asks me what the right set of Motors is I'll be able to say I tried them all here's the ones that I settled on and we can move on this 75mm [@$#%] is is dragging on and on and
[00:21:26] on and on and on and I'm just getting more and more frustrated I don't know there there there's a part of me that kind of wishes that I'd left the 65mm WalkSnail rig
[00:21:41] freestyle rig together cuz it flew great on the 4,000 KV Motors yes runtime was a problem but just buy more batteries like a minute and 50 seconds is not that bad
[00:21:57] it's a it's not great great but it's not that bad so I don't know I I I kind of wish that I had left that thing together but at the same time the Curiosity of what like
[00:22:10] could a 75mm rig really work it would have killed me so we're in it now my friends been in it for a while but and then we're also going to try another camera or two tonight to see if
[00:22:29] I can figure out how the hell to get 60 frames per second out of analog like I did late last year I realized that I I have a couple other cameras on a couple other rigs I can just plug them
[00:22:45] in and we did yesterday on the stream record me moving my hand in front of it on the emersion RC power play dump it into Premiere and go frame by frame and we'll see if it's actually
[00:22:58] frames a second or if it's 30 frames a second with frames doubled so that's the plan Stanley away we go Cloud Hopper was first in the chat hockey rounds was next hung out
[00:23:17] FPV Curtis Hayes ramdo AR Glatz Tony Morgan Co Powers slow Cal Jay DS Douglas Atwell upside bl550 Cloud Hopper again Rocky Huff B FPV 6x1 peace and love safe Zone test
[00:23:32] Rocky Huff Kila zebra Brent Anderson JG photog Frank Nicholas Scotty Scott frojo Bob Bruce CB FPV danzel the terrible I'm gonna leave it there if you want me to say your name you got to come into
[00:23:46] the chat early if you want to talk to me in the chat type CiottiFPV for me it'll light up an orange if you want to get anybody's attention just type their name and spell it right and put the
[00:23:54] spaces in the right places and for that person their name will let light up an orange cfp.net tell you that it sucks because you pay my bills not BetaFPV not anybody else
[00:24:21] so support the people that do this if you want really good quality content with like no chance of like well I'm not going to be so hard on this product because I need this company to
[00:24:31] send me more of their stuff just kind of keep that in mind when you're floating around on on reviews the folks that and they're not doing it maliciously right it's just
[00:24:42] like if a company keeps sending you their new stuff every time they have something new no matter what like in the back of your head you're going to be like well let me not call this thing a
[00:24:52] piece of garbage or let me not crash this thing super hard to see how it holds up what I mean that's just like self-preservation people don't do it on purpose but look for the folks
[00:25:04] that don't just support themselves in my opinion from the the products that get sent to them that being said there are folks like Nick Burns that get scent products that trash them all
[00:25:20] over the place it's FPV is not Nick's full-time gig it's something that he does for fun on the side those of us that do this this fulltime we're the ones you have to worry
[00:25:31] about cuz we rely on on something to keep the lights on and keep fooding our in our children's mouths right what else is happening over there Etsy store where you can buy some fun stuff T
[00:25:44] spring store where you can get some fun shirts straight of the day is an autocross shirt from blipshift and then there's a whole bunch of affiliate Links at this point
[00:25:54] if you're not using an affiliate link every time you buy something on the Internet some body's not making money for free it doesn't affect you in any way change your bookmarks to people's
[00:26:03] affiliate links that you want to support and then they'll be able to do better work here on YouTube right because they'll get a little bit more free money every time you order something no reason
[00:26:11] not to use affiliate links there's some other fun stuff over there that you'll get a laugh at if you keep scrolling down over on SE fpv.one now I'm going to play you the flight
[00:26:29] footage with the 45mm by blades and hopefully you'll be able to see the jello in this in this if you couldn't see it on the other one on the other flight footage CU it was I
[00:26:44] don't understand it but it was way worse than the by blades I mean it's does kind of make sense because by blades are significantly harder to balance than Tri blades it's always kind of
[00:26:55] confused me that well not always I I only noticed this recently it's really confused me why on the BetaFPV 1102s the the by blades were smooth were less jelly than the tri blades I
[00:27:13] still don't necessarily understand why what you're going to see in this flight footage so this is again the 103s 103 2200s on these by blades it's was really lacking power like I I did this
[00:27:27] was not fun to this was way better to fly on the on the 45mm tri blades I was really struggling to keep this thing from slapping into the ground all over the place as you can see although
[00:27:39] that was just me flying like a buffoon but the the the the RC and Power 103s on the 45mm B see look there's tons of jello there I hope you can see that it's just nasty
[00:27:53] so the the if you're going to run RC and power 103s on a 45mm setup you're going to want to do it on the tri blades it's they're better bounced and they make significantly more power
[00:28:09] the runtime wasn't even that bad either somebody was complaining about the runtime on the 103s what I think the if you put the 1003s on a propeller that doesn't make
[00:28:21] enough thrust the runtime is going to suck because you're going to have to really like so look that's a minute and 51 seconds ver on the by Blades versus on the tri blades which should be less
[00:28:34] efficient we are at we're already at 2 minutes and 30 so it's funny man like is a really good way of being able to tell that you have underp a motor if if you have like a byblade or
[00:28:56] even just like if you have a low pitch propeller and then you swap onto a high pitch propeller or if you have a by blade and you swap onto a triblade if the runtime gets better with the more
[00:29:08] aggressive or more bladed propeller that is a Surefire sign that the motor has way more grunt to give and on the on the less pitchy propeller the motors having to spin higher RPMs all the time
[00:29:25] to get enough Thrust out and the the higher PMS that it's going to spin is going to create more heat more friction blah blah blah if the by bladed propeller or the less pitchy
[00:29:37] propeller is a good match for the motor it's going to make enough thrust and it's going to take advantage of the fact that it has less blades which is more efficient or its lighter weight as a
[00:29:48] lower pitch prop that's typically what you would in that scenario typically you'll get more runtime so if if you have that weird opposite scenar scenario and that's perfect that
[00:29:59] that like these 103s are a big motor this is a really in terms of like tiny whoops this is a motor that has a lot of Stater volume this motor has a lot of power to give but you got to have
[00:30:13] a propeller on it that's going to that's going to get that that's going to take advantage of that grunt right you could probably these 103s you could probably run these at like 40,000 KV and they
[00:30:26] would just keep making more and more and more power again this is a big Stater volume motor this is a motor that's going to almost certainly end up on one of these 2 in or 2 and 1/2 in non-rop
[00:30:41] guarded WalkSnail builds that I'm looking to do next and it's going to probably rip on those I'm going to these will certainly crank the 2-in byblade GemFan I'm really excited to
[00:30:55] put them on a two and a half inch byblade that's where I think these going to really come alive so some cool stuff coming with these motors and the the the triblade
[00:31:08] 45s definitely did wake them up a little bit but the jello is just obnoxious and they're still not it's still not even quite enough I would still want a higher KV or like a
[00:31:24] quad blade I don't even think that they make a quad blade 45 millim propeller even if they did now the propeller is starting to get kind of heavy like a quad blade 1.6 inch
[00:31:38] it's not 1.6 I guess it's like 1.8 in prop a quad blade 1.8 inch prop is going to be heavier than like a bu or a triblade 2in propeller even maybe even a 2 and 1 half inch propeller but the
[00:31:51] bigger prop is going to make way more power and be way more efficient right we know this from long range so going up to like a quad bladed propeller on a tiny whoop is almost
[00:32:01] never the answer because the propeller is really heavy the tips of the of the blades are really close to each other so you get a lot of inefficiency and it's just not
[00:32:15] usually the way so that was my day what did you guys do what is this this is black frame oh all right so here just for just so that you can see we played this on yesterday's live
[00:32:34] stream but in case you didn't happen to see it this is the same build on the BetaFPV 1102s with the 45mm by blades and the the Jell-O and the vibration is just bananas like you can really see it up
[00:32:51] here you guys can see it I can see it in OBS it's just brutal these RC and power 103s were much better but they're still not great Brandon are you in the chat by
[00:33:08] chance has anybody seen Brandon's baked beans I haven't seen him I did get a quick blackbox log on this I'm actually I'm gonna bug Brandon just to take a super quick look at it I'm
[00:33:22] pretty sure that the the vibrations have nothing to do with the pit Loop because I have moved the pi and D gains up and down and it hasn't changed it at all but just out of curiosity
[00:33:37] I'm going to shoot him one of these logs and beg him to take a quick look at it and I I don't I don't know if he can I don't know if he can specifically see if the vi like in the blackbox log
[00:33:52] if the vibration is 100% caused by a physical thing or but what regardless he will have some feedback I will change a couple of things I'm sure in either the filtering or the pids and then I'll run
[00:34:07] it again and if the jello goes away great I I've been wrong all along and it was pit tune related I haven't even really thought much about the pit tune because this these vibrations that I'm
[00:34:20] getting I've never in seven plus years been able to tune out these these vibrations that I'm seeing are a dead giveaway that they're a it's a physical mechanical issue but I've been wrong
[00:34:33] before I will be wrong again I would actually love it if I was wrong about this and I could change something in the pit tune to clean this thing up but I doubt it but no no stone unturned
[00:34:46] right let's we're if we're going all the way in let's go all the way in and check every possible thing that could be causing these these issues so that's what I got going
[00:35:00] on again next step is just to put and this will this will kind of answer that question is to put 1.6 in by blades which are a known balanced good propeller onto this rig in this Frame as
[00:35:17] it is it'll fly like [@$#%] because it'll it will be missing a lot of thrust but if it doesn't have Jello-O and all those vibrations that we were just seeing then yes the 45 mm props are junk they're not
[00:35:30] junk but they're just not well balanced enough on an HD rig to not give you Jello-O the people that run these 45mm props and love them are typically analog people and analog does not get Jello
[00:35:46] like HD does one of the big problems with HD on micros is the fight with Jello I've been fighting with it for probably like four and a half to five years ever since we started to get
[00:36:00] RunCam splits and I started trying to figure out how the hell to get an HD lightweight quiet safe-ish but powerful good performing micro Jello has been the bane of my
[00:36:17] existence and I've worked really hard and I've tried lots and lots and lots of different frames and motors and props and soft mounts and cameras to find the magic combo
[00:36:33] that I can you with with a bunch of work I was able to get fresh builds that didn't have Jell-O the Holy Grail has been a build that I can crash a bunch and a I don't have to change the
[00:36:52] propellers constantly to avoid Jello well sorry I I can always not always I can usually get a clean rig to not have Jello-O but as soon as I start crashing it one of two things happens either I
[00:37:09] have to constantly put fresh props on it and the only way it doesn't have Jello is if it has really fresh propellers that have only been crashed maybe once or twice really lightly or I've had one
[00:37:22] or two rigs that I can beat them up a little bit and bend the blade blads back on the propellers and it won't get Jello until the propellers are really hammered ass or the motors become
[00:37:33] hammered ass but man that that's been really really difficult so I'm this is as as it as things get smaller and smaller and smaller that gets harder and harder and harder
[00:37:50] so I'm actually really surprised that the one of the things that really blew my mind the most about the WalkSnail 65mm build is that it didn't have more Jello-O it does have a little bit of
[00:38:05] jello but way way way less than than these 75s have had so that's kind of what leads me to believe that these 45mm props are just not super well balanced but we'll we'll have that answer sooner
[00:38:18] than later I stole that little thing from Mighty Car Mods go subscribe to their channel it's the least that we can do they are the best automotive channel in all of YouTube I really love those guys I've
[00:38:46] been watching them for over 10 years they've been on forever oh Aunt Maria and Uncle Tony sent me a birthday card that's very cool of them
[00:38:57] John Hines I think I know what this is thank you brother I believe this is a WalkSnail light I I John did you tell why did you did you try WalkSnail and then you
[00:39:14] decided against it I I feel like you told me but man it's been a crazy week and I I don't at this very moment I do not remember why you didn't want this WalkSnail setup but very very cool of
[00:39:31] you for sending this over there it is donation from John hin thank you dude very cool of you and it sure is this is a an extra WalkSnail light with the heat shield still on it that'll be
[00:39:47] interesting maybe I'll leave the heat shield on this one I probably will thank you dude very very very cool this will get put to good use especially since I ruined the one of
[00:39:59] the other ones I still need to send that back to cadx cuz they will apparently they will fix this stuff they will fix the the WalkSnail stuff so dude thank you man very very cool this
[00:40:11] is much appreciated and then we've got this box here from rdq with some fun stuff in it I don't remember what it is to be completely honest I think there's a bunch of
[00:40:30] props in here though which I'm super excited about I I I I remembered I remember that after the cycling gig I decided that well I I didn't realize there were more 2 and half inch props
[00:40:44] available and I wanted to get the I want to try to get one of the the live flying rigs really quiet because something that I noticed is that when I was getting them so they they they
[00:41:00] for their broadcast they have announcers at the start Finish Line before and after the races but they also like before and after the races for me to go over there and get like really
[00:41:12] cool little like we call them like horseshoe like you're you're flying the shape of a horseshoe and it just it's like a really cool we do it all the time but we don't even think about
[00:41:21] it so I do a lot of these like horseshoe passes which they love to cut to in the live broadcast but the problem is these rigs are loud so when I when I watched the the live stream
[00:41:33] back when I'm doing those and I get near the announcer you can hear the of these of these rigs so I I'm like when when I got home I was like all right note to self see grab some 2 and 1 half
[00:41:47] inch six blade eight blade props so that I can what I'll basically do is like halfway through I'll set one of the rigs up with the Quiet props and then that's the rig that I fly around when
[00:41:59] there's announcers and whatnot so that was one of the reasons oh right this is this whole order is live flight rig related to get the the new 03 carrying sub 250 live flying rig
[00:42:16] back on its feet that's right that's exactly what this order was top to bottom pretty much I I think this entire order is devoted to those rigs so we've
[00:42:30] got Speedy be I'm GNA give this a shot people have run this Speedy be stuff enough on 5 in rigs that I'm pretty confident putting it on a working rig but a working rig that's sub 250
[00:42:48] it's in theory never going to die the the fets are certainly never going to die from from too much current going through them God knows if something else on here will die right
[00:43:02] like there's other stuff that could die from just being powered on right like when we have a 5volt Beck die a lot of times it's just it's been powered on for too long and it just n I'm dead now
[00:43:14] so there's no telling and I'm just ever so slightly like freaked out that that might happen with this but I've I've also got a t-motor stack I I I can't believe that I spent
[00:43:33] the money on this but it makes sense the these these live flying rigs have made me a lot of money and have the potential to continue to make me a lot of money I have a really big 3day BMX
[00:43:47] gig coming up in a month and a half and I want to have this thing like totally solid for that and that gig pays easily pays for this stack and many many more of these Stacks if if you if
[00:44:05] you know what I mean so I sucked it up and this stack was is it's really expensive it's like $130 like $140 it's just absurd but it's t- Motors top of the topof the line stuff which I'm
[00:44:20] assuming I can probably look at it and tell you I'm assuming that it's made by acon just kind of this is a very unscientific way of figuring this out but like I've seen a lot of Aon stuff and I and I can
[00:44:38] sometimes just sort of tell looking at it that I mean see like everything is lined up really really nice it's is conformal coded that's nice I mean that my guess is that
[00:44:57] this is this is made by Aon it's hard to tell but like I mean everything is lined up be well a couple of these capacitors are not perfectly lined
[00:45:11] up one of the ways that you can tell sort of it's a very inexact thing but if you look at a board with a 5x Loop and every single tiny little capacitor is perfectly lined up
[00:45:28] that's manufactured by a company that their tolerances are really locked down this is pretty damn good but it's not perfect most of the acon stuff that I look at is perfect but
[00:45:42] you know you could argue that like when you're making something for somebody else it's kind of like well there there's you're not going to make as as as much money if you're making it
[00:45:53] for t-motor and then t-motor is selling it right so I don't know but that's just that's just a guess I I I have a th look this flight controller in this stack I know
[00:46:06] that it's made by Aon because it's the exact same layout as the Aon flight controllers that I have and it's a stack so it kind of stands the reason that in this stack the flight controller
[00:46:20] and the ESC are both made by acon they that might totally be wrong th this could be made by by Mamba and they they get it or whoever the hell makes the Mamba stuff EI flate I think maybe
[00:46:33] this could totally be made by them and then they get this from acon and then they package them together and away we go but I'm trying my best I look
[00:46:45] like nothing is good everything is garbage what I mean like like to like trying to build a rig that's going to be dead solid reliable is really difficult like
[00:47:01] there's not a company that just makes stuff that is absolutely reliable all the time like I've heard people recently that have had the this stack blow up on them but like what's the
[00:47:14] alternative I get something that's like a lot cheaper and just crossed my fingers like what I mean the Speedy be thing right like this is super cheap but like a lot of people have had
[00:47:24] really good luck with it but like how could this at less than half the price possibly be better quality than this right it doesn't make any sense it's
[00:47:36] it's I hate it I hate that like and what what's extra annoying is that we actually do have a company that makes stuff that is higher quality and significantly more expensive right
[00:47:52] but their flight firware blows it doesn't blow but it's nowhere near as good as BetaFlight so it's maddening is the word but first world
[00:48:10] problems right right right so these are the reason that I did this order but since I was there I also got a bunch of [@$#%] bunch of other [@$#%] sub 250 has so sub 250 there's sub 250
[00:48:30] FPV on Instagram really cool dude that makes some really cool small little School Bus style 1.6 in 2 in 2 and 1 half inch 3 in frames that I'm going to be trying in the future here in this
[00:48:44] summer basically then there is sub 250 no FPV and they're a company that makes a bunch of really cool stuff I had no idea but they make a an HQ 40 mm 1.5 mm
[00:49:05] Mount five-bladed propeller HQ does not make this propeller with a 1 and a half millimeter Mount they don't sell it this is the only way to get it in the the cool
[00:49:16] little sub 250 green color so I'm actually really interested in these but I'll bet you the top of the propeller is closed God damn it HQ it
[00:49:34] is the top of the propeller is molded closed so what I will have to do is run a drill bit through it I will probably not be able to do it with the pin Vie I probably won't be
[00:49:51] able to get enough go on it with the pin Vie I'll have to put one of these 1.49 mm drill bits in an actual drill and try to drill through the tops of these because having
[00:50:04] the the top of the propeller closed off is is brutal it's just going to bend the [@$#%] out of your motor shaft so I'm going to have to try to fix that and hopefully I don't s make it out
[00:50:16] of go out of balance in the process but I can't run these props with the top of it closed in that's just guaranteed to wreck the motors and then also there's a sub 250 gem
[00:50:30] fan 16008 by3 that I don't know I'm kind of wondering if if maybe it's a little bit better balanced I guess I don't know and they're a cool color and it's cheap propellers are cheap so get a bunch
[00:50:44] of them so we'll see these are GemFan 1608 by 3s I have a bunch of these I've run them before they have not been super well balanced but and they're also like pretty low pitch so
[00:50:59] I don't know 75mm world is frustrating tiny whoops are frustrating let's not completely throw 75 mil into the bus tiny whoops are there's a lot of tiny whoop components
[00:51:17] that suck not suck but like they're older they're they're a lot older right like tiny whoops have not gotten a lot of love from the manufacturing side and so there's a bunch of these
[00:51:36] products out there that three years ago four years ago they were the best that we had but now we've got a couple of other options that are like significantly better and here we are I also
[00:51:53] snagged so I did a little myth busting one of you beautiful people pointed out so I'd mentioned previously that it's was kind of annoying to me that the GemFan 1610 by
[00:52:11] blades only came in blue because early days I snagged a set of them that were smoke crack gray they're around here somewhere and one of you beautiful people know noticed that on rdq website there were
[00:52:31] two 1610 gray propellers one of them they both say in the item description for 1 mm motor shaft but I think in like the T somewhere on one of those two items it says 1.5 mm motor shaft but
[00:52:50] then the picture shows a 1 mil motor shaft and then in the description it says 1 mil motor shaft so I bought a set just to check it and I'll be goddamned if that's not a 1 and 12 mm motor shaft
[00:53:03] so thank you whoever the hell that was that gave me that tip that's this is great yep that is a one and a half mil motor shaft awesome so if you want 1610s in Gray I'm not going to tell you
[00:53:18] where to get them because I need them all next time I do a next time I do a an rdq order I'm going to get like 10 sets of these because I don't really like this I mean this blue is
[00:53:32] okay but it doesn't the only thing it matches are the RC and power motors every other motor that I've got is either like black or red and black or whatever and these smoke crotch gray
[00:53:42] props look much better on them so cuz as we all know if you're not going to fly good like me damn well better look good I re-up on some of these 1610 Blues because in the Quest for no Jello it's
[00:54:04] going to be really important for me to have fresh propellers to isolate whether the issue is motor related or propeller related right so I was thinking ahead a little bit there as
[00:54:20] well which is nice I don't always do that and then I've got a whole bunch of two half inch props here that I'm going to show you in one second but I'm just tying something hang on we're
[00:54:32] also going to fly six batteries tonight you guys get to pick which quad little micro battery strap that they send you 155 mm so for propellers we've got the HQ 2 and 1/2 in six spit blades these are the
[00:54:57] probably these are probably the ones that I'm going to end up going with I also snagged a set of the eight blades to half inch eight blades these are probably going to be too inefficient but
[00:55:09] I'm looking forward to trying them and then I I grabbed I already have these and I've already run them these are the props that I ran on the 03 rig with the 1504 luminer cin Motors and
[00:55:23] they were great on there so I snagged two more sets of them these are the HQ t63 by3 trib belated technically this is a cop propeller so they call it duct they call it duct
[00:55:42] t63 the way that you can always tell is whether the propeller is bullnose or not if the propeller is completely bullnosed on the outside here it's meant to run around in a duct these rigs do
[00:55:55] not have ducts but this is a very pitchy propeller the best propeller that I've found other than these is the azour 2540 they're very efficient 40 is a good amount of pitch this is significantly
[00:56:13] more pitchy though those propellers I think the the since they're only two and a half and they're Tri blades the 1404 that I have on those rigs right now the t-motor 14044
[00:56:26] 600 I think that motor can drive a bigger pitch and one of the things that I run into that I ran into last year at Denver 8,000 fet above sea level is that the air was really
[00:56:40] thin and those propellers and those Motors were struggling I did have enough power but there were moments where I was sitting that thing on Full Throttle to keep up with these cyclists when they
[00:56:51] were doing sprints that was back in the days of NCL National cycling league and they have a different rule set where like every single lap you can score one two or
[00:57:03] three points so there's a lot of Sprints in that Series this year NCL canceled their entire season this year unfortunately the the other regular Criterium racing you don't get any
[00:57:16] points I mean there there's a couple Sprint laps where you can get a couple of points but 95% of laps don't have any point value at the end so the Riders relax the majority of the race and then
[00:57:29] they push and they Sprint a couple of times so it would have been really nice to have had these back then because they would Sprint damn near every lap and I usually cover in in Denver at
[00:57:44] least I covered the the last corner to the start Finish Line so I got to catch all of those Sprints so they would sit up and chill for most of the lap and then they would hammer so all that
[00:57:56] you know every single lap these guys would come in balling like 35 40 m an hour and I'm at 8,000 ft above sea level with a bunch of cross Brees and a bunch of trees and it was it was super
[00:58:08] super super challenging but these props will be really really nice to have and we'll see these were awesome on those 1504 cinem Motors so maybe these are just the props that stay
[00:58:23] on that rig that rig is also heavier right cuz it's carrying around the 03 air unit my other two are just on Vistas which are much lighter there's like a 30 gram difference between the 03 and the
[00:58:35] Vista and then the 1 154s versus the 144s so these props will be great on that rig also that rig is all black so it looks like super professional with the the black props
[00:58:47] black rig the other two rigs are awesome looking and it doesn't really matter because like when the when the the the groundbased static cameras catch the quad it's just a black blur
[00:59:02] because they're they're usually like really high they're usually really Zoomed In which has a really shallow depth of field so the the quad is completely out of focus but you know
[00:59:16] it'll it's cool looking so there you go there's your mail bag for the day how's my mailbag looking friends is it looking healthy don't answer that what do we do next
[00:59:33] we I'm really looking forward to getting that rig back together I'm mortified that I have to completely desolder all of the motors and I I I don't know what I'm going
[00:59:45] to do I'm tempted to leave the flight controller on there it's got an acon flight controller in it right now it might be totally fine the the flight controller might be completely
[00:59:58] fine so I'm really tempted to leave the flight controller I'll test it of course a little bit and just slap that Speedy be ESC in there and let her rip I will probably end up taking one of
[01:00:14] the other two live fly rigs apart and putting it into the AOS c25 current generation frame with another 03 air unit and then that's the rig that gets the t-motor stack
[01:00:30] but we'll see I don't know I don't know which direction I'll go the the that's the the much less work scenario right slap that Speedy BC in there deepin the the the ESC
[01:00:45] to flight controller cable and just that acon flight controller should be fine it's got a little bit tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny little bit melted on the plastic plug right above
[01:01:01] where the fets were that exploded but it's was just it had that like residue the burn residue that I wiped off with alcohol so it should be completely fine I'll throw a
[01:01:14] multimeter on it and power it from USB and see if it Powers up the receivers and [@$#%] right to make sure that it's not totally grenaded before I send it full Voltage but
[01:01:27] I think that's what I'll end up doing because that is in the rexis frame which is based off of the qav CNA 25 and the and that of the two rigs that I have running now with the
[01:01:42] vistas on them that's the rig that gets significantly less runtime because it's a stronger frame and it's got more bracing on the ducts so I would rather have like that's the Workhorse
[01:01:55] build that's the build that like at all of these events I fly like a half a dozen batteries before the event starts in like sketchy spots to check to make sure that I'm not going to get
[01:02:06] blasted out of the air by one of the weird digital transmission setups on the TV truck on the roof of the TV truck or on the static cameras on the corners and [@$#%] so that's the
[01:02:19] rig that ends up crashing when I'm because there there's always somewhere that I get blown out of the air and sites and I also push it like like I'll push it all the way
[01:02:30] around the corner and I'll just keep going like as far as I can possibly go because I want to figure out like where what's my window like if if if the the TV truck is on my camera and I go around
[01:02:42] the corner and I start to go into like sketchy Ville and they haven't come off of me yet and they haven't cut away from me yet it looks bad for me to like bail like if if they're on my camera and like
[01:02:54] I'm on these Riders and I'm like nope I can't I can't go any farther and I just turn off it looks terrible so I before the event I will push all the way down and see when it fails safe see when
[01:03:07] the video goes all the way out and then when I'm flying for real I will and I I have the conversation with the director of like this is how far I can go and I never tell him how far I
[01:03:18] can actually go like I'll tell him like I can go 10 feet past turn three or turn two and then he knows well if he forgets to if he forgets that at some point I want to have a little bit of
[01:03:30] extra range right to have it not look terrible because I've just turned off it still happens every once in a while it does happen where he's not gotten off of my camera or I missed the call of him
[01:03:43] taking a different camera and there will be a situation like always once or twice in these live broadcasts where I have to turn off and he's still on me and it doesn't look that bad but
[01:03:53] I try to avoid it try to be professional here so and in that so it would make sense that the rexis gets kind of the shittier ESC and then the really expensive stack goes in the
[01:04:07] AO the AOS which is more efficient and it's faster and it gets flown more that's the main rig that I fly and then the the qav rig or in this case now the rexis rig that's like the beater rig
[01:04:22] that I test with and then that will also be the rig that gets the six or the eight bladed props that's quiet so after the event and I run that rig at low uptilt so before and after the rig when
[01:04:33] I'm getting like pretty shots not chasing cyclists or flying near the announcers that rig is nice and quiet low up till I can hover the damn thing and it just looks straight like you know
[01:04:44] when they bring people up on the podium it's so cool to have like a dynamic camera shot like rotating around the the winter and then they pop champagne and you got like champagne
[01:04:56] coming right past the C it's just it's really cool looking so there's a little window into how I do things at these live flying events and the guys in the truck freak out like they completely
[01:05:14] lose their minds every single one of these events that I do it's super super super flattering because they're professionals they've been doing live broadcasts in TV trucks like this
[01:05:25] for their entire careers and they are phenomenal let's get caught up on chat here what do you say so what do we have left we talked about 2S anybody have any questions about
[01:05:39] 2s we did mail bag we're going to do six batteries we're going to talk about analog 60 frames per second probably next but let's dive into some Q&A let me get caught up on chat here rlad says
[01:05:50] yoyo F lojo put the patreon link into the chat thank you for that Rocky Huff says says Where do I get your .99 1.5 mil drill bit combo didn't see it on your Etsy it's not on my
[01:06:04] Etsy it's I have two left Rocky you're just going to message me actually go to se fpv.one name address email for tracking tell me that it's for the pin Vice it's 40 bucks
[01:06:31] you get to choose though if if you don't tell me if if you don't choose I'm going to send you the silver one I have one silver one left nobody has wanted the the one that I tried
[01:06:46] to make look pretty I'm not super happy with this but it's not that bad if you want this one it's yours I've been saying all along all you got to do is put in your comment that you want
[01:07:02] this one that I tried to make look fancy but the default is the silver one but if you want this one that I tried to make all cool and burnt titanium burnt it's not titanium but any
[01:07:20] Metals if you Hammer them with a blowtorch you can get them to change color like this I didn't do the best job but it's kind of cool looking it doesn't look bad it's going to do the
[01:07:30] job just like any other one so if you want this one let me know otherwise Rocky will get the last silver one and then this will be the last one available there's only these two left
[01:07:43] to be honest I'll probably do it again I I'll probably get another pack of the of the pin VI and another bunch of the drill bits and put them all together for you
[01:07:54] guys again because there's been continued interest in it and it's a pain in the ass to buy all look if if if you do this yourself you're going to end up with 10.99 mm drill bits and 10 1.5 mm
[01:08:09] drill bits and that's going to end up costing you 40 bucks so why not support me and pay the same amount of money and just get 1.99 mil drill bit and one 1.5 drill bit because you're never going
[01:08:22] to break them they're on a [@$#%] pince and you're running them down a god damn plastic propeller so that's how you do it two left my friends snag them while they're hot I've also got
[01:08:34] a set of 0802 EX the lightweight ones 27,000 KV Motors the Bell says 33,000 KV they are not they are 27,000 KV and I've got a set of I flight Zing 102 22,000 KV motors with the 1 and a half
[01:08:53] millim motor shaft available these 802s are a 1 mm motor shaft and then I have some other stuff I've got a bunch of fractal [@$#%] that needs to go a ton of ducts
[01:09:12] and then one good 65 mil motor to motor frame one of the frames has begun to strip out so you will need to do something about that it's set up for M2 and one of the screw holes is starting
[01:09:28] to strip out what I would do is just put a dot of super glue inside of that and then run the screw down it and it's going to be fine like when you're done when you're done with the build the
[01:09:39] last thing you do is the rear screw mounting point and you just put a drop of crazy glue in there send the M2 screw through there and just it's good to go next time you have to take it
[01:09:49] apart you're going to have to crank on that but it'll hold carbon fiber loves CA loads of ducts in here if you want this let me know and then I've also got a meteor 65 Pro frame
[01:10:03] with a set of tiny whoop 0802 what are these 30,000 30,000 KV motors with the the a set of the GemFan Tri blades and then I've also got it also comes with a set of
[01:10:18] the HQ triblade so if you want to go down the meteor 65 Pro route I've got you covered there BetaFPV g string canopy if you want this I'll just throw it in if you buy
[01:10:34] something else and I I do have a couple of cockroach 65 V3 frames that I bought for myself and then newbie drone sent me a whole bunch of them so I've got
[01:10:47] black purple and clear and these are all the polycarbonate the the slightly heavier I think they're like 08 of a gram heavier but they're stronger you'll never break these frames so sell
[01:11:02] you a couple of these as well these are my personal ones which is why I'm willing to sell them I'm not selling the ones that newbie drones sent me that's about it that's what I got
[01:11:13] I'm sure there's other stuff I have an access box if you want to Output your Vista video to a monitor it's about it let's see no no no let me get caught up on chat a little bit more cbfb says
[01:11:31] I have a full carbon fiber frame 3-in build should I use five blade ducted props or triblade freestyle props it depends if if you want to fly freestyle with it or just generally get have a
[01:11:46] more efficient setup you should run Tri blades five blade ducted props are mainly for ducted setups or if if you want something that's quieter and or less efficient so I mean it it
[01:12:01] it depends it's hard for me to answer that question without more info but those are the things that either one of those will do better and those are the main things that they'll do
[01:12:11] better or worse it also really depends on the motor size the motor KV and a whole slew of other things but those are the main points that differentiate those propellers fre lojo
[01:12:22] says also I did a good siiz newbie drone order tonight and remember link thank you brother very cool of you upside says going HD for your 2S Journey what going HD CiottiFPV for your
[01:12:39] for your 2S Journey is that a question are you are you asking me if I'm going HD so for the last Jesus like two or three months I've been on this walks Adventure with three at times four
[01:12:59] different WalkSnail builds in both 65mm and 75mm initially I put the focus on 65 millim I tried all the motors and settled on the best setup the problem was the runtime kind of sucks
[01:13:15] the little 300 MH batteries picking up six extra grams you only really get about a minute and 50 seconds runtime which is almost enough but not quite so then I shifted my focus over to 75mm
[01:13:28] builds and that's what we've been doing every other live stream for the last like two months basically is trying different Motors different props different frames different everything
[01:13:40] and I'm at the end of the 1S stuff that we can test and so now we're moving into 2S with these guys so hopefully that answers your question AR Glatz says someone gave
[01:13:55] me new skyone o2o goggles and they're stuck on A1 can't receive other channels I can receive A1 signal even if I set goggles on R8 ideas skyone support not helpful I have no idea dude
[01:14:07] I've I've never even seen those goggles maybe somebody listening to this has skyone o2o goggles and they can help but I I just I have no idea keep bugging skyone support though they they
[01:14:24] need to help you out you've spent money on one of their products they it's their job to help you so keep bugging them Andy X says speaking of jello what are some good ways to troubleshoot
[01:14:35] jello on your whoop I mean jell is caused by high frequency vibrations so that's what you're that's what you're hunting down you're hunting down vibrations so sort of similar to when
[01:14:53] you've got flyaways when you've got your PID Loop freaking out outside in right like we always say outside in is how you troubleshoot a lot of vibration based issues so what outside in means is check
[01:15:07] your propellers first your Motors second the frame and the motor screws and stuff third the the soft mounting of your flight controller or your aiio fourth and then pids and filters and
[01:15:24] [@$#%] dead last with Jello it could also and I am a little bit curious about the the camera mounting setup that I have on these things I've I've chosen the
[01:15:37] lightest possible weight camera mount which is the Mobula 6 canopy and there is a little bit of squishiness to the way that the mount is set up it's mainly up and down it
[01:15:53] there like sideways it's pretty solid but there is a little bit of movement in this camera mount setup so at some point here I'm going to try the BetaFPV canopy which is a little bit
[01:16:06] heavier I think and it's much bigger and uglier but I've stayed away from it because I'm pretty sure it's a little bit heavier so if if that helps I'm going to be [@$#%]
[01:16:19] pissed because I don't think it's going to help though because I have had this build right here totally Jello free before but like once you start to crash it and the vibrations start to
[01:16:34] pick up maybe I don't know but that's a thing that I am going to test so that that's it Jello is caused by vibrations and so you got to hunt down the vibrations so just [@$#%]
[01:16:47] stare at your rig and be like all right where are the vibrations coming from what's spinning oh it's the props all right cool so that's outside in right props Motors boom boom boom boom and I I
[01:16:57] show you guys all the time how to test that stuff right hold it in your hand arm it put it into Turtle mode spin each motor up really gently put it into the motors tab spin each motor up do
[01:17:08] troubleshoot it think through it look for those vibrations that's really all you can do and sometimes you have to change to a different propeller or change to a
[01:17:20] different motor right like there's no guarantee that a set of propellers are going to be perfectly balanced out of the box there's no guarantee that a motor is going to be perfectly balanced
[01:17:32] sometimes you have to spend money and just replace components to try to troubleshoot this [@$#%] that's what you pay me for I I I work my ass off to do a lot of that work for you guys so that
[01:17:48] I can saydon't buy this motor it's out of balance right out of the box these motors are fine but I needed to hold a motor up for the visual so M says are you looking for 103
[01:18:04] Motors to run on 2S I am not what KV would you run I'll let soon I placed the tiny whoop order today I'll know soon enough my guess is that 14,000 KV is probably enough
[01:18:22] because that's what I run on the tiny lifters and they make gobs of power even picking up a 26 gram camera but I just don't know yet so stay tuned I'll I'll know soon enough but
[01:18:35] I'm not looking for 103s that motor is probably too big it's we probably do not need a motor that big for this I also don't think that there are any 103s that have a
[01:18:50] triol mount I believe 1102 and these sorry this is a 103 I've got 103s on here I forgot I've already got 103s wait no they're on here they're on here I thought you said
[01:19:08] 11:03 no I'm going to try these 103s first H maybe first who knows but they're going to get tried for sure these ones are 22,000 KV I'm going to motor limit the [@$#%] out of them because
[01:19:21] 22,000 KV on 2S is the equivalent of 4 44,000 KV on 1S which is way too much James Thomas says the X12 light no VTX also check the neutron RC cross 5 amp I would not trust a 5 amp on 2s
[01:19:44] like this and then like I talked about earlier the the problem that I'm going to potentially have on the the Mobula 7 V4 frame is the USB port so the AO that I chose does not have the
[01:20:04] standard USB port layout so that's why I picked that one but if for some reason that AO doesn't work if there's another frame that I can run with a regular USB port layout then
[01:20:20] maybe I'll try the X12 l no VTX or the neutron RC but hopefully this BetaFPV AO works out if you didn't catch it I I I went through it all it's one of the first things I did on
[01:20:32] the stream so you can rewind back if you want the full picture James Thomas also says I guess a HappyModel 122.5 11,500 KV would just be too heavy um2 and a half 122 and a half that
[01:20:48] would probably be too heavy it probably also is not a three-bolt it's probably a 4bolt motor and then also on top of that 11,500 KV is not going to be high enough so
[01:21:00] lot of lot of reasons that the HappyModel 122 and a half wouldn't work in in my scenario parino photography says I have the same issue I think we need ND tiny ND filters maybe like an
[01:21:11] nd8 man that would be nice boy it would be nice to have ND filters that would help this issue a ton but it's almost certainly not going to happen I've been waiting for
[01:21:25] little tiny ND filters for six years the cadx tarer actually came with an ND filter unfortunately it was so the cadx tarer was like the RunCam hybrid where it had a separate it was one camera body
[01:21:49] that had two sensors in it and two lenses on the front it was so so so good that that layout is so good the the RunCam hybrid is an amazing camera because of it the catx tarer much less so the
[01:22:03] the software you had to use Bluetooth and it's was just kind of a pain in the ass to use but they sent it out with an ND filter but unfortunately the ND filter was a double ND and there's no
[01:22:17] reason to ever have an ND filter on your FPV camera so that was kind of annoying and also you couldn't use that ND filter on anything else all they had to do was just make the ND filter for
[01:22:29] the HD lens and then we might have been able to use that ND filter for other cameras but they didn't they I don't know I I I anybody that has any anybody that has any photogra
[01:22:46] knowledge of Photography would understand that it's completely pointless to have an ND filter on your FPV camera it's just stupid it's pointless I total missed opportunity total total
[01:23:02] total missed opportunity I would have bought a half dozen of those [@$#%] cadx tar seers just for the ND filters because with like some shimming we could have we could have almost
[01:23:17] certainly just dropped them right on to a bunch of these other lenses maddening absolutely mading eagley shooting says I I forgot to mention parino thank you for reminding
[01:23:29] me of that I I didn't mention this earlier Jello is also I just glossed over this because I assume that everyone spent 15 years shooting Stills and learning where
[01:23:43] Jello comes from and whatnot Jello happens more often in bright light because it happens more when the shutter speed goes up if you run any D filters you can slow your shutter speed down to
[01:23:56] like a 60th of a second or 120th of a second and Jello becomes a lot less of an issue that's why what I said when I said earlier you don't have to worry about Jello if you fly golden hour or
[01:24:07] blue hour it's because it's more dim outside and the shutter the shutter speed slows down and that helps the jello considerably vibrations are still the enemy even if you can get your
[01:24:22] shutter speed down if you got a rig that's vibrating you're never going to get a completely sharp image especially down at the slower shutter speeds because it's going to open its
[01:24:34] eyes for a 60th of a second and in that 60th of a second if it's vibrating the whole image is going to be a little bit fuzzy so we we we want these cinematic HD rigs to be as vibration
[01:24:45] free as possible so that we get a Sharper Image but Jello is unacceptable like you if you put an edit up with a bunch of jelly footage in it like anybody with people are going to be like G
[01:25:01] if it's just a little bit soft you're not going to get that same like vomit reaction so I mean propellers that are out of balance out of the box
[01:25:15] are we we can't run them there there's no reason to run those so we want to fix that problem for sure but thank you for that reminder parino Eagle I shoot shooting says I recommend
[01:25:25] the BetaFPV 11,000 KV 113s and the lava 2S 450mah 45 minutes on an AIO 12 amp flight controller I believe that those Motors are not 3 bolt but let's take a look because I
[01:25:43] haven't looked at those Motors in a while I could totally be wrong 1103 brushless motor that's a four-bolt motor so that will not work on Tiny whoops and then also 11,000 KV is not
[01:26:01] enough for 1.6 in so th those Motors would not work same as whoever mentioned some other motor earlier same same deal the HappyModel 122 whoever mentioned that same deal with these
[01:26:14] motors they they won't bolt up and they're too low of a KV YouTube just did the thing scrolling back up to try to find my place thank YouTube yevan Z says using right now
[01:26:31] flywoo Robo 102 15,500 on 2S 45mm WalkSnail build with two 300 MH tattoo Cruise Time Around Jesus 5 minutes and a half to 6 minutes also planning to try flywoo Robo 102 19,800 with limited
[01:26:49] I'm assuming throttle limiting Fly IU Robo 102 so that is I'm going to I I'm I've got all of the 102s not all most of the 102s right now the iflight zings are the ones that
[01:27:05] are just I'm just going to sell them somebody buy these for me they're great motor totally fine but I've got the flywoo 102s on this Frame and then on this Frame I've got the RC and Power 102
[01:27:20] 22,000 I'm definitely going to try these RC in power I might end up trying the flywoo as well but I I I couldn't really feel a difference between these two Motors
[01:27:33] these RC and Powers have been crashed a lot less so these are going to get the majority of the testing if I like these motors though out of curiosity I'll probably try the fly Woos maybe not but
[01:27:43] I don't know we'll see so I i' I've already in in the in the works already is the flywoo 102 testing so you'll get to see that yevin Denzel the terrible says I saw beans earlier today but he ain't in
[01:27:58] chat thank you dude I'll I'll just message him on Discord and Bug them Rabbid rabbit FPV says what's up you should test the MPS 802 Motors off Teemu for shits and giggles no I will
[01:28:11] not with how shitty MEPS has been with so many people in our community I will never spend a dime on any of their products bad companies do do not even like for sits and Giggles no you
[01:28:27] know if if you if you do what they did you get none of my money and I recommend that you guys do the same don't don't support maps at all don't buy any of their stuff apparently their
[01:28:35] stuff sucks anyway so don't buy it for that reason VCI is the company that I'm super interested in I ordered a bunch of their Motors Unfortunately they said they're not going to be able
[01:28:45] to ship them until the middle of May but there's a couple of VCI Motors that I'm super interested in I I just need them to ship them to me Curtis Hayes says hot glue the USB before
[01:28:56] you plug into it I've had two pop off as have others hot glue the USB oh on Speedy B I just have the ESC so I'm good Veritas weel says bud my fiance says that if she doesn't see Teddy
[01:29:19] pretty soon she's gonna have make me turn off your channel and watch some romantic movie better get him on before it's too late he's already in bed with aelia it's late man Monday night
[01:29:26] streams he is he goes zelia's bedtime is 9:30 so any streams after 9:30 there's no chance of Teddy sorry dude see you later Veritas it's been nice knowing you you can watch the
[01:29:37] replay tomorrow meten says sounds it's similar to cars you can find people who think they're amazing and people who think they suck for lit literally every brand yep Morton
[01:29:48] upshot says give them a try what's them one or two packs and then send them feedback on the props before you potentially ruin the balance what's what's them Morton I don't know what
[01:30:02] them is what what is the them that I'm giving a try tag me again you're going to have to like copy and paste this though because I'm not going to remember what time going get caught up
[01:30:10] Rocky Huff says what's your favorite prop on the mobital 6 2024 on the Mobula 6 2024 with the 070 to 28,000 KV motors which for me are a little bit lower on the KV side I like really
[01:30:29] powerful Motors to do these crazy like off throttle throat across the room moves like the the the the propellers that really wake that thing up are the geman 1219 s's a close second are the
[01:30:47] the HQ ultral light Tri blades the as I call them the YOLO props they are a little bit less pitchy and they're a and they're significantly more fragile so the geman 1219 s's
[01:31:00] are are just amazing on that rig and then my third favorite is the 1210 by blades the 28,000 KV Motors it's a little bit too low of a KV for those by blades the the tri blades really come
[01:31:14] alive on those lower KV Motors and both of those triblade options are very very lightweight they actually are the same pretty much the same weight as the GemFan by blades so the 702 motor being
[01:31:27] really small you got to pair it with an ultra lightweight propeller luckily those 1219 s's the HQ Tri blades and the and the 1210s are very very very lightweight props they pair really well
[01:31:37] with 72s but 28,000 KV for me is a little bit low so I'm going to pair them with the pitchi propeller to get the most possible power out of them so those are the ones that I like
[01:31:51] the best but look tiny woop propeller are super cheap you should be buying at least one set by two maybe by three of all three of those propellers and you can make up your own mind because
[01:32:04] propeller choice is a very very fiercely like independent thing you might absolutely love the by blades on the On Your Mobula 6 2024 it's a super personal choice so and they're super
[01:32:18] cheap so get all of them and make your own mind up test says will do 702 Motors and 802 motors have the same mounts yes they do three bolt pretty much all tiny whoop motors have the same
[01:32:35] three bolt Mount county fpb says what's it mean when I get a rolling black frame in my goggles like an old ribbon film video Never Had it happen before new just flown Mobula 7 if you are on a an
[01:32:53] immersion RC rapid fire if you're on any goggle module that is doing frame sync reconstruction like the rapid fire like the TBS Fusion like the I believe this new speed module is doing it as
[01:33:11] well what could be happening is that oh man how how can I this is like a 10-minute explanation there's a there's a standardization in cameras that some of these some of our camera
[01:33:30] manufacturers are not paying attention to and these got and the the frame sync reconstruction relies on that standardization and so there are some cameras that don't Jive well with those
[01:33:44] receiver modules this is why Rapid Fire for example I don't know the fusion but on the rapid fire there are three different modes there's rapid fire one there's Rapid Fire 2 and there's Legacy
[01:33:56] if you're on rapid fire 1 and you have that issue go to Rapid Fire 2 the issue will probably go away if it doesn't go to Legacy and the issue will definitely go away best case scenario though is to
[01:34:10] throw that goddamn camera in the river because the idiots that manufactured it ignored the standardization that everybody else that makes analog cameras doesn't ignore and get a camera that
[01:34:22] does most cameras are fine there's only a couple of cameras that deal with this issue but the the immediate solution is to change the mode on your receiver module if you're using a receiver module
[01:34:34] that has that if you're using a receiver module that doesn't have sync pulse reconstruction so we call that rolling screen the screen rolls sometimes it just happens sometimes it
[01:34:50] just happens when like you're at the edge of your range or when like somebody Powers up a router that's like blasting sometimes it's just happens it happened to me like a month
[01:35:01] ago I was like Jesus that's been a while if it's a constant thing it's really I hate it's makes me really dizzy if it's constantly happening though then troubleshoot it but if it just happened
[01:35:11] once it might never happen again test says oh no we got that Tony Morgan with a $10 Super Chat thank you so much brother he says just because that's very cool of you man thank you for the
[01:35:22] support that is much appreciated James Thomas says on the mobu 7 mobu 8 please help me out with canopy interchangeability what fits as in BetaFPV or other canopies they all
[01:35:37] have 20 by 25x 25 Mount right yep they're all 25x 25 Mount but they won't all work every single AIO has the UFL Port potentially a ceramic elrs antenna in different positions on the board
[01:35:57] so there's always going to be a canopy that doesn't work on a specific AO it would take me an hour to go through every single AIO and every single camera canopy and tell you which
[01:36:12] ones will and won't work so I mean I can't do that but luckily the canopies are really cheap so every time you do an FPV order look for all of the canopies that that company SS and just
[01:36:24] order all of them it'll cost you like 20 bucks and you'll have every single canopy that exists and then you can sit there and find the absolute perfect canopy for each AO that you've got and
[01:36:35] Away you go that's what I did it won't cost you a lot of money and it's really nice to have a bunch of canopies because certain canopies are really strong certain ones hold different
[01:36:45] cameras certain ones are really light weight so you can really customize your your rig to be super strong or super light or work with a weird camera that you've got that's
[01:36:56] my recommendation James Thomas says oh what VTX did you choose I have no idea what that's in reference to tag me again and give me more to go off of danilla turble says what strength and D
[01:37:09] filter you want for your tiny whoop camera I have an idea for me in FPV the only ND filters that I bother with are nd8 and nd16 nd32 you will only ever need if you're flying
[01:37:25] in the snow and then nd4 it's just it doesn't make enough of a difference nd2 and nd4 they do practically nothing they're like a third of a stop and I think 2third of a stop
[01:37:42] and like I'm not going to bother that's not going to slow the shutter speed down enough to make an actual difference nd8 is like the first one where it's actually going to change
[01:37:52] your shutter speed enough to make a realistic difference so nd8 for sure nd8 is the Easy Button nd16 is really nice as well though like nd8 is like if you only buy one ND filter it
[01:38:08] should be an nd8 it's strong enough but it's not too strong nd16 is really nice for like the middle of the day but as soon as the Sun starts to drop a little bit's too much and
[01:38:20] you have to switch to the nd8 so if there was only ever going to be one nd8 for sure but if there could be two eight and 16 it like covers you and everything other than bright
[01:38:32] daylight bright open sunlight into snow that's when you have to go all the way up to 32 but I've never flown in the snow and most people never will Rocky Huff says sent over that pay FAL for the P
[01:38:47] pin viice appreciate all the live streams thank you dude thank you for the support James Thomas says what what cameras need an ND filter that is not available SL should be available I have
[01:38:59] access to custom Optics mainly these WalkSnail light luckily the the outer the outer diameter of this lens is the same as like pretty much all isn't it hold on let me check I
[01:39:19] believe it's 8 mm I I believe that like most of the these little tiny cameras use 8 mm outer diameter lenses but let me check that before I put my foot in my mouth the
[01:39:39] really hard part about ND filters on these analog cameras is getting them to not fall off there it's just how do you do it how do how do you get an ND filter to
[01:39:52] wrap around this lens and not fall off the first time you crash and explode and or how do you get it to not show up in the flight footage right the these lenses are very wide angle and they
[01:40:07] design the lens so that like it is it is as wide angle as the lens can achieve so if you put anything in front of that it's typically shows up in the corners and these are not high quality
[01:40:22] enough where it's just it's like oh well just crop in like you crop in you're cropping to like 640 by 480 almost not quite but so it is but I mean it can probably be done in
[01:40:37] theory it can be done who knows if it can actually be done outer diameter is look at that 8.92 call it 9 millimet cuz I crank I I pinched this a little bit too tight you're supposed to only put a little bit
[01:40:55] of pressure 8.93 8.92 call it 9 mm most of these analog cameras though I thought they were 8 mm maybe they're not maybe it's nine Timmons would know he's been figuring it out well [@$#%] the cadx ant
[01:41:14] is 10 son of a [@$#%] the cadx ant is 10 I didn't realize that I was hoping to run this one of the Batwing mounts I'm not going to be able to do that though so the catx an is 10 that's
[01:41:30] super annoying these other ones though Mo the majority of the analog cameras are hold on hold on I'll tell you right now I have one right here where is it
[01:41:58] oh what I didn't put it in here I put it in here which might be easier to find might be a thousand times more difficult to find where is
[01:42:12] it what is this oh look I add that in here oh God damn it where is it where are you little guy oh I can put a little BT 3.0 on here oh there it is there it
[01:42:39] is I didn't I forgot about these little batteries cool oh that was good I'm glad that I went in there you'll see these batteries in the future most analog
[01:42:59] cameras oh look at that it's 10 they are 10 okay good good good good that is annoying but we don't really need them for what am I saying we don't really need them for analog
[01:43:12] cameras analog cameras don't really deal with Jello it's just this WalkSnail setup the WalkSnail light camera eight 8.94 8.9 I've gotten 8.92 8.93 8.94 basically 9 mm and that
[01:43:33] would be insane but again the the challenge is going to be keeping it out of view and getting it to stay on that's the that's going to be the struggle bus with
[01:43:51] it probably won't work for freestyle because crashing the crashes that we we're nose in crashing a lot and it just generates so much momentum it just generates such a hit that God only
[01:44:06] knows how to get it to notw I mean technically there is like I mean if it was a totally custom ND filter specifically for this I I you could in theory get it to lock in behind
[01:44:22] the lens here right could get it to slip over and then in into that because that that goes all the way around and I mean if if you could somehow do that then it would definitely not fall off
[01:44:32] like if if the lens had like a just spitball and but if it was like a 3D printed TPU mount on the lens you could force it over and then the back of it could have a little ring around it and
[01:44:44] that could just Notch right in there and then that would never come off but I think the main problem is going to be keeping it out of view the the the ND filter the outside of the ND filter see
[01:44:56] the tip of my pointer finger nail here the ND filter is going to have to come out all the way out here and then the filter itself is going to have to be a lot bigger that's that that's
[01:45:09] that's one of like in the photography world when we run ND filters that we have to get them significantly bigger like the front element of the lens will be like this but then the ND filter you
[01:45:20] have to run is going to be because the front element of the the lens is has a wide field of view and then the the ND filter is sitting in front of it right and so that
[01:45:31] field The View needs to so the the ND filter even though the lens is only like what did I say 9 mm the ND filter is going to have to be like 11 or 12 in diameter to sit out in front to not have
[01:45:43] it show up so those would be the the main problems but man with how popular these these WalkSnail lights I mean these walk light setups are sold out like everywhere with how popular
[01:45:57] they are that that could be something that has an actual Market I wonder if we could just ask camera butter to do it I wonder if I mean camera butter is now making a fully
[01:46:12] custom ND filter for GoPro Hero 12s I'm sure there's a much bigger market for people that want sorry a totally custom end D filter lens replacement with protection little pieces on the
[01:46:28] top and the bottom to protect the damn thing that is like FPV only but I mean there's a lot more people using hero 12s than anything else than anything that we're using on
[01:46:39] these small guys here's a question though there there's another WalkSnail light does it use the same lens so there sorry it's not a WalkSnail light there's another small walks
[01:46:56] snail camera this is the light here here it is does this use the same lens looks like it does that would be awesome oh yes great great great great great great great great great
[01:47:15] great oh oh Noe no nope that's fine that's fine yep same lens so that's great so that would cover two different WalkSnail systems both the the this is like the regular not regular but this is
[01:47:31] the screw Mount Nano camera but same lens which is great so if that product were to exist it would work on two different WalkSnail systems that'd be right that'd be
[01:47:48] wild offex says he's talking to camera brother right now do me a favor mention my drop my name because I they were cool enough to give me an affiliate link and so I I always want
[01:48:03] folks that are willing to do that for me I I it makes me feel good when they when they find out from other people that like I'm talking about them what I mean because they don't have to
[01:48:11] give me me the affiliate link they're giving it to you so that you'll do some free marketing for them so and me messaging them being like guys i' I've been talking you on my
[01:48:23] live stream it feels weird right when it comes from somebody else like by the way Ciotti was talking about you guys you had great things to say like that's the kind of thing that to a
[01:48:30] company they're like oh [@$#%] awesome glad we hooked that guy up nope James Thomas nope got that count FPV says I should tell you the video doesn't do it the whole flight just
[01:48:58] randomly for a moment gotcha talking about the rolling screen I think it it'll the the rolling screen will never happen for the whole flight it'll always be just a random thing but if
[01:49:11] it's happening like a couple times per battery that's to me that's a nightmare I I wouldn't be able to deal with that if it happens one time a year I'm cool with that parao photography says I'm
[01:49:21] making one with cart tent LMO been there it's almost impossible to get it to lay flat the the the curvature of the lens is a is a total pain in the ass we tried a
[01:49:37] bunch of stuff back in the day and then gave [Laughter] up also with car tint it'll usually put like a purple Hue they're not very neutral but you can always get that out in
[01:49:53] post CMYK saysjust popping in have an awesome stream Morton upshot says don't discount the HappyModel 102 20,000 KV Motors in my experience they fly better than the RC and power 22,000
[01:50:06] at least in my 7 75mm WalkSnail I can't buy any more 102s I can't imagine that they're going to be that much better than the RC and power like look I I don't need
[01:50:23] I'm not looking for the RC and Power 102 22000 they're not like five or 10% shy on power they're like 30% 40% down on power from what I want I can't possibly imagine the HappyModel 102 20,000 KV
[01:50:44] Motors are going to make that much of a difference and I'm I really don't want to spend another $50 on and an hour of my life on another set of 102s I I want a big
[01:51:01] jump and power if you tell me that it is a massive jump and power morn I might be willing to spend another 50 bucks but let me know off axis says especially because I went down this 102
[01:51:18] rabbit hole because a bunch of people said that the RC and power 10 2 22,000 are Mega powerful and they're actually like 24,000 25,000 KV and I was like oh cool here's my
[01:51:32] money so this feels like another bait and switch off axis says I've tried to tell people the same about MEPS but you're correct there are still a bunch of great Pilots still rep them are
[01:51:48] there really I thought everybody dropped them Morton opot says those props from sub 250 fly a couple packs before you drill out the top and potentially unbalance them but why I can't there
[01:52:00] I can't possibly run like they're no good to me closed off on the top so if in the process of drilling them out they get unbalanced they're just as worthless as they are
[01:52:12] now I I I just I can't I having a propeller sitting up really high in the motor is just a total deal breaker James Thomas says when I mentioned the X12 light you said You'
[01:52:27] you said you had chosen a flight controller with a different USB I mentioned the ex I'm lost James I apologize what ition you said you CH I'm lost brother tag tag me again and give me
[01:52:51] more to go on I I I don't I don't know what we're talking about here timman says the bi batwing should fit the ant I believe yep I'm going to find out for sure sooner than later
[01:53:04] speaking of I've Been Just hammered busy and I I apologize Tim and I've him and I have been talking but I haven't been able to devote enough attention as as I've wanted to
[01:53:19] Timmons has done a ton more work on the Batwing mount and it should be up over on the Discord in the 3D printing channel grab it print it try it out give us some
[01:53:33] feedback Timmons myself Bob noxious and I forget the name of the the other guy we've all been trying them and we think that it's in a really good place I'm certain
[01:53:53] that one of you guys will print it and it won't work or it will work and you'll have awesome feedback for us so it's not up on thingiverse yet I don't necess I don't necessarily want to like
[01:54:05] start a thingaverse account and have a bunch of people asking me questions on there I don't know if Timmons you want to but whatever I don't know if it never makes it up on the thingiverse
[01:54:14] whatever I don't care it's for you guys it's for us it's for our community we all hang out on the Discord so if it only ever lives in the 3D printing on Discord I I will eventually
[01:54:25] put it up in a patreon post so it'll be available there as well but it's up there's a whole bunch of different versions on it Tim and's [@$#%] killed it's only works on the Newbie drone
[01:54:37] cockroach 65 V3 frame there is a WalkSnail version of it there is a standard 9 mm or 10 mm whatever the hell the measurement I just got off that catx ant version of it there's also a
[01:54:54] runcam Nano 3 version of it so you should be able to run one and it's amazing it's 6 of a gram which is significantly less than any of the canopy setups no du no ducts in view
[01:55:13] it's really really good if you run the the runcam Nano 3 version the camera is so short that it's totally protected so it might actually be incredibly durable print it
[01:55:29] try it out let us know what you think and if if there's another revision or two that can make it even better Tim seems totally down to keep [@$#%] around with it everybody give
[01:55:42] Timmons a massive pat on the back for doing it he's an awesome guy that's making something really cool for this really cool community that we've got so give it a shot my
[01:55:55] friends at some point I got to is somebody dying we're going to do a 3D printing contest with it at some point but is somebody willing to print a couple for me and put them in the mail
[01:56:10] like sooner than later like tomorrow or the next day if you are shoot me a message on Discord because I don't have any of the new ones Bob noxious has printed me a bunch of the version one
[01:56:21] and version twos I would rather not keep bugging him to print more and more and more [@$#%] so if somebody can 3D print and mail me some of them quick within the next day or two let me know if not
[01:56:34] it's totally fine the ones that I have are working but I would love to try these brand new ones that Tim has put up message me and I I need to look through the files to tell you which ones
[01:56:44] that I want to try they're so small that you can probably print like two of each on one bed so I don't know whatever I would love to have one of everyone to be
[01:56:57] honest with you but if somebody's dying to print me something and mail it and can mail it to me sooner than later let me know I appreciate it Timmons also says could make a new
[01:57:09] batwing to have a slide in ND filter if we can get a smaller size that's pretty [@$#%] cool that's a really cool idea so I'm thinking about how brain 3D does their ND filter slide inss in their
[01:57:34] GoPro mounts so the well free well makes ND filters for the insta 360 goto those are big though these are way too big this is the size of the lens so this is way too big this is the
[01:58:06] whole body of the cam there's the lens so this is way too big this is also going to be kind of heavy this would not be it plus they would need to be square
[01:58:17] I wonder I wonder how small of a square ND filter exist exists out in the world interesting what a what a specific thing who in the hell would need a tiny little ND
[01:58:37] filter the the main usage for these tiny little analog cameras with these little 9mm 10 mm lenses is backup cameras on cars and there's absolutely no reason to put an ND filter on one of those
[01:58:50] interesting that's a really cool idea off axis says I can easily design and make them ND filters for various size ND FPV cameras how how the hell would you do that cutting the ND
[01:59:07] filter that size is the tough part right right I mean if somebody has the ability to cut and cut glass really accurately we could just get like go the GoPro Square ND filters and then
[01:59:27] probably just slice it in quarters and then Timmons could po those are thick those are thick and they're heavy bastards though see that's going to be the problem we're we're
[01:59:39] already we're already tempting fate not tempting fate but we're we're putting the camera weight and some TPU weight all the way up front here and you don't want to do that front front weighting a
[01:59:56] rig makes the front Motors work really hard and so the farther forward you put it the worse it is so we're putting this camera in the worst possible position for flight performance
[02:00:07] so far I haven't noticed it's hasn't but like putting a chunk of thick glass up here that would almost certainly start to give us issues where the the front Motors get overloaded
[02:00:20] so we realistically we need to find a very thin ND filter glass which we might be able to there's like shitty quality GoPro ND filters are probably going to be really
[02:00:35] thin to C cost got those got those talked about that talked about that James Thomas says so as of now the beta 1102s are the it for what is available in the market no the Watch
[02:01:03] yesterday's live stream the BetaFPV 1102s are very fragile the whatever the metal that they use for the motor shafts is soft and these this happened to me with the old beta 1102s
[02:01:20] that I was running years ago on the tiny lifters they're just too fragile at the moment the best that there is if if you so I mean if you're never going to crash it sure the BetaFPV 1102 2200s
[02:01:34] are are the ones out of the box they're perfectly well balanced as soon as you start crashing them though they fall to pieces at the moment either the RC and power 102s or the flywoo or the
[02:01:47] iight Zing or the rotor Riot dimes if you're enough to direct solder Motors they're all the same and they're as as good as it's going to get for WalkSnail but I don't like any of them I
[02:02:01] really don't they they're just it's like having a cine whoop and that's not that's not what I kind of want because you got like ducts in View and there's not much duct in view you
[02:02:13] just crank the camera angle up but th those are those are the best at the moment in terms of having something that well-rounded durable power runtime blah blah blah blah blah
[02:02:28] off axis says this ND filter fits a katx FPV camera do this work nah it's way too big so that's for a this is a it's a big bastard this is a the old DJI Vista camera and that's
[02:02:55] got a standard like so that's a 19 millimeter wide camera and so that lens is on the camera is probably like might say in here it doesn't say in here what I need to buy these though I need
[02:03:14] these for the I we don't need them but I I would love to have these for the the live flying rigs I did not know that this existed although no cuz now I'm going to the 03 system and they have specific
[02:03:29] ND filters that I would have loved this though for the last like two years God damn I didn't realize that they did this but no these are Big this is probably bigger than the free well ND
[02:03:39] filter that I was just showing you this would it would need to be like almost half the size of this for this little WalkSnail lens but damn this is very cool that
[02:03:52] this exists [@$#%] although I've never really had Jello issues so it wouldn't necessarily have helped me I could have gotten a little bit more motion blur in the at these live flying gigs but whatever they
[02:04:07] it's fine the the motion it's motion blur wouldn't have made the the filming that I did look that much better nobody would notice realistically good find brother
[02:04:23] Alla says also camera butter says there's a big problem with some of those cameras though ND filters may not actually work in them unless you can lock the
[02:04:35] iso oh right right right right because you ND filter it and then without being able to I think you can lock the iso though I'll tell you right now if you can't lock the
[02:04:49] iso it'll boost the ISO up to 1,600 3200 and the the image will get super noisy but I'm pretty sure that you can lock the iso and I will tell you for sure momentarily come on little buddy man
[02:05:13] these lenses are disgusting I'm pretty sure you can I could be wrong though menu I'm not going to plug this in I'm just going to tell you settings camera son of a
[02:05:37] [@$#%] wait no there is an i what the hell there is an ISO but it's gray out you bastards why why' you do that never mind guys without the ability to lock the iso there's no reason to
[02:05:56] do this it'll make the situation worse actually son of a [@$#%] that sucks what I'm assuming is that on the light they don't they don't give you that they don't give you that option I bet
[02:06:16] you on the other the bigger WalkSnail cameras they give you the option to lock the is so damn it dude that sucks yep there goes that maybe that's why subconsciously I
[02:06:43] wasn't thinking about the NV camera as a solution oh well off axis says camera brother will be in chat soon hopefully they just saw me do that camera brother you're off the
[02:06:58] hook can't lock the iso James Thomas says okay on on on the 1S X12 comment maybe just ask what flight controller you're going to go with that clears the
[02:07:15] USB we've talked about that a couple times now in the Stream it's the it's the BetaFPV the the first thing I covered on this live stream I I I went over all of that
[02:07:33] the beta fpv2 amp here it is there you go so they use a they use a wacky little where the hell is it they use a wacky little plug instead of the USB and then they give you this little guy and then
[02:07:55] they give you this little guy here so and we we were also talking about that yet somebody suggested this to me on yesterday's live stream and I was like oh [@$#%] I didn't
[02:08:04] even know this existed so Jason black says there are lens stickers on Amazon various varieties of sizes we tried that back in the day they're not very well balanced
[02:08:20] and the the lens is curved so they they they Ripple up on they're just they don't they just don't work om fpb says you used to be able to get sample packs from companies this was the
[02:08:31] best setup that I ever found back in the day sample packs from companies that made filters for moves and film they're acetate you cut them easily Rosco back in my still photography
[02:08:43] days I used to every time I did like a B&H order I would have them throw in a Rosco sample pack I ended up with a whole bunch of these Ros sample packs that I would then cut up and use for
[02:08:55] smaller cameras I used to cut them up and in the original GoPros you would the they the the original GoPros had a case that you would put them in and so you'd cut it
[02:09:06] just right and you'd put it into the the front of the the waterproof part of the case that the lens slides into and you'd smash the lens lens in and it would just barely fited in there it was really cool
[02:09:19] off axis says you can put up a poll tiny ND filters yes or no it's a no timman says jron Ah that's it jron 2008 was the other rapid prototyper by the way thank you for that Timmons
[02:09:31] shout out to jron 2008 for helping with this little batwing project off axis says mtac in the house modom please mtech thank you for coming but you're off the hook my friend I'm gonna make
[02:09:43] you a mod just so that you show up in Blue don't moderate though I've got tons of mods that handle it M teac thank you for doing what you do brother camera for for those of you that
[02:09:53] don't know camera butter makes amazing ND filters they are very neutral and it's blows my mind how like we are a niche within a niche within a niche within a niche and like
[02:10:09] camera butter is making something that is even more Niche within FPV and it just blows my mind like I they can't possibly sell that many of these super specific products and I know know damn
[02:10:22] well that like the prototyping and the manufacturing process and all that [@$#%] is very expensive so massive shout out to camera butter for making very specific products just for us not
[02:10:35] completely just for us but like wild that that they can that they've figured out a way to prototype this stuff and manufacture these things for such small runs we're very very very
[02:10:50] lucky to have them the the I the the very when camera butter first popped up I tried a bunch of their ND filters and they were very purple and I ended up going to the TBS filters which were
[02:11:05] much more neutral but and I just kind of didn't think about camera brother for a while I was it's cool but they were too purple blah blah blah at some point they
[02:11:16] fixed that issue and now their filters are actually more neutral than the TB s filters so as my TBS filters break which is great I I run more and more of the camera butter filters I actually
[02:11:30] broke my beloved nd8 from camera butter at this at the I I forget was it dubab or was it little baby I don't know there's too many goddamn rappers with baby in their names
[02:11:47] gig so I I actually need to do a camera butter order and snag another nd8 and I'm looking forward to surfing the entire website to see what else they've got because they've
[02:11:59] they've made a ton of products since the last time I was on there scrolling back up because YouTube just did the thing again come on YouTube there's mcac 22
[02:12:21] millimeters 22 Mill millimeters is is the diameter of the old school DJI camera lens that we were looking at 10 minutes ago James Thomas says for what it's worth the new dimes have motor plugs get
[02:12:36] the hell out of here really but 24,000 KV I don't think is enough I don't think that 2,000 extra KV is going to be enough of an increase in power for these WalkSnail 75s that
[02:13:03] that I'm looking for I I really I think it needs to be like 27,000 28,000 30,000 man am I man am I tempted to try him again though God it pisses me off that the that I bought that set and they
[02:13:25] didn't have the effing plugs on them H did somebody say the other day that these are made by RC and power why couldn't they have made them 26,000 KV come
[02:13:41] on we have motor limiting for God's sakes when we like we've had motor limiting for years why are the M motor manufacturers not all cranking their KVs up by 10,000 come
[02:13:56] on man motor limiting is God God damn it there's mtac in chat from 1207 schooling us on exactly what we eventually got to in that without the ability to lock the iso these FPV
[02:14:19] cameras are just going to keep blasting the sensitivity so here's the problem with that so if we were to endd filter I should have known this I I I think I did subconsciously know this which is why
[02:14:33] the I didn't think about doing the ND filter thing but on a lot of my old RC drift chasing WalkSnail footage a ton of you guys were like what the hell is with the horizontal
[02:14:44] banding that's what would happen if we were to run where is this hair that I can see but I can't grab got it all you have to do is shout it fixes everything this is what we would get
[02:15:00] if we ND filtered a bunch to try to pull the the to try to open the shutter up to get rid of jello no it's needs to be some of the drifts chasing from
[02:15:22] winter time when it was like dark in there here we go so oh no still oh right this was a Sunday it was during the day come on man I know I deleted a bunch of it because
[02:15:37] it looked like ass but I I must still have some of it one second guys one second it'll be worth it I promise it's not going to be worth it I bet you it's in my effing
[02:15:52] edit I'll bet you it's in the godamn edit on my channel here RC drifting in HD oh God no my old my ad blocker doesn't work anymore hold on quiet there we go now see it's light out there there's
[02:16:16] enough light where the the iso is not going bananas in here farts why is this so difficult why is everything always so difficult please computer here we go look how bad this
[02:16:37] looks see how dark it is see how it just generally looks like ass it kind of looks like ass because there there's a white balance problem but this is this actually doesn't look
[02:16:52] there you go look how bad that looks see all that disgusting horizontal banding this is what we would get this is what the WalkSnail would image would start to look like so compare this right
[02:17:03] compare this hot [@$#%] mess with same camera same lens same everything this is today this is all jelly but even with the jello look at the difference
[02:17:18] in the this is when you give WalkSnail a bunch of light and it can actually not have that disgusting horizontal banding and you've got a bunch of detail in here this is still all VI there's all kinds
[02:17:32] of vibrations here as we've been talking about but this is the image quality that you get from WalkSnail when you give it a significant a good amount of light and without the ability to lock
[02:17:48] the ISO we would end up with ugly noisy when when the iso goes up the the amount of noise goes up and the noise is that garbage that you see like especially in the shadows in the dark spots it's grain
[02:18:05] it's gross it you end up with that horizontal banding [@$#%] for some reason on these WalkSnail rigs so MAAC says thank you you're certainly welcome brother keep up the amazing work
[02:18:24] MAAC says DM me I certainly will James Thomas says okay so what do you want size and KV I I might order a 750 piece run or at least get a prototype I'm an
[02:18:40] engineer I I don't I honestly don't know James I I think maybe 803 might be the answer but I could be totally wrong that motor size could overheat safest bet would be either a 10:2 or an
[02:19:06] 1102 30,000 KV and then we just motor limit them down that would be the safest bet it might not work with big motor orders you you the the best bet is to really beat them
[02:19:23] into sending you a sample ahead of time a couple of samples like two or three sets that's how it works with like tiny whoop so that you can run them before you spend 10 grand on a th000
[02:19:36] pieces or whatever it would be so honestly man you'll never sell 750 pieces I I've talked to a couple of these motor manufacturers and they all have minimum order quantity of a
[02:19:51] th000 or 750 I mean if you just want to do it and you have the money and you're not looking to get your money back that'd be insanely cool but trying to sell 750 Motors that realistically only
[02:20:06] really work on a 75mm WalkSnail carrying rig I don't think you'll ever be able to move that many I I thought about it for myself I I kind of did the math and really thought hard about it
[02:20:21] because I could probably figure out a way to do a thousand piece motor order but there's just not I don't think there's ever going to be enough people running this exact very specific kind of
[02:20:33] thing to Warrant that maybe you never know I this is a pretty interesting thing but I don't know look rotor Riot had the best chance of doing this and that's where these dime 102 24,000 KV
[02:20:52] Motors exist I'm so disappointed that somebody at rotor Riot didn't go hold on hold on hold on motor limiting is the the coolest thing ever why on Earth would we only do 2,000 more KV than
[02:21:09] every other Mo 102 that exists why don't we do 26 or 28,000 like come on how did nobody like maybe it's just me Walter says small cams will always be a problem no light can go in there
[02:21:34] it's true it's very difficult but man are we close we are we are close to having something really really cool mtac rightly says Motors are very hard to sell because the market is so
[02:21:44] saturated that too that too and there just aren't enough people that know their ass from their elbow that know how magical motor limiting really is and it's I like I try so hard to
[02:21:58] scream it from the [@$#%] rooftops but we like the number of people in FPV that are actually paying attention and actually know what's what is so incredibly small like
[02:22:12] it really blows my mind sometimes how how few and far between people are that actually stand like one level deeper than ripping balls 1 b674 says have you seen the guy
[02:22:31] flying tiny whoops with hotas really cool I don't know what hotas are I feel like I've heard that though is that isn't that a military acronym [@$#%] is hot oh
[02:22:43] the the throttle and stick that's cool a bunch of people have done that over the years the coolest setup for that was somebody set up like a lawn chair and they they had the the
[02:22:55] the throttle and stick set up like it was like Jerry rigged with like strings to their transmitter but it like really did work people have done that a couple times it's really cool
[02:23:07] really really really cool setup James Thomas says break even I think could even be done let's talk and I'm not in a hurry if whoever gave you that 750 run shoot them a quick message and say
[02:23:24] hey what's your prototyping look like if they're willing to do a few sets of prototypes and you need to tell them like we don't know the motor size we don't know the KV so your
[02:23:38] prototyping has to they have to have a way of prototyping without making the mold it can't be like we need a deposit from you for the whole oder but here's a little prototype like you
[02:23:49] know what I'm saying like because there might be something weird about 102 30,000 KV that catches on fire we just don't know it might not be a big enough motor 102 might not be big enough to
[02:24:01] crank 30,000 KV on this so it's might be a situation where like the Prototype Motors are a total failure and 10:3 is the right size or 803 is the right size so bounce that off of them real
[02:24:15] quick ask them what their prototyping procedure is and then if there's a way for us to test multiple sizes and or just have a total out if they're only willing to test one 102 30,000 I think
[02:24:28] would be the safest bet hit them with that they might not be able to wind it 30,000 KV that's another problem that we run into is that HappyModel up until very recently they were
[02:24:41] the only motor manufacturer that was willing to wind a motor any motor even prototype Motors at 30,000 plus KV so they might just say no but if there's a prototyping
[02:24:53] process in place that will allow us to test a couple of different sizes at a couple of different KVs then it's realistic but this is just me speaking from experience talking to
[02:25:05] Jesse from Tiny whoop about how what a pain in the ass it's been and a couple other people in the industry about how to get motors made cuz a lot of the mon motor manufacturers are
[02:25:16] not willing to do that and that's a total deal breaker but if if we can make it work that'd be that'd be wild I'm finally caught up on chat and it's only
[02:25:26] 12:30 let's knock out the two things that I said an hour and a half ago that we were going to knock out stop asking great questions chat it's over we got to do these things then I
[02:25:39] gota get out of here James Thomas though says if you if you motor limit a high KV does it affect the runtime a little bit and yes they will do five sets for test in also can do titanium
[02:25:53] shafts don't know about the out though so that that's going to be important a lot of times what they do is they say yes we will Prototype five sets and then when they're ready to go
[02:26:04] they're like okay we need your 50% deposit for the Thousand piece run and then we'll send you the prototypes it's not a prototyping phase it's just they're going to make a few of them
[02:26:15] right because it's really expensive for them to make a different motor size or different Stater poles or different wines or whatever so it do yes motor limiting does affect the
[02:26:33] runtime a little bit's not that bad and for prototyping it's really important because you get a massively High KV you're not testing efficiency I'm not I don't care about efficiency I
[02:26:47] care about how the hell do we get enough power out of this and so 30,000 KV is where we want to go because that is we we almost certainly won't want to go higher than 30 so we run it at 100%
[02:27:01] hopefully it makes too much power and then we back it down and then we figure out can we do 28 is it 27 is what's the magic number and then we get more efficiency right we we run it full boore
[02:27:15] we see where the efficiency is at and then we just expect to get a little bit more efficiency if we turn the KV down a little bit hopefully that makes sense let's see how the hell we can get 60
[02:27:28] frames a second out of analog is it camera is it VTX what the hell is it James Thomas says no they'll do five sets for R&D that's pretty rat who is it RC and power if they're offering titanium
[02:27:49] motor DS It's either RC and power or brother hobby if it's if it's brother hobby I don't want to be involved because they ripped Bob rugie off pretty bad and I would be afraid that
[02:28:04] they would rip us off too if you wanted to if if it is brother hobby I will tell you the story privately it's not something that Bob necessarily wants the entire world to know I'm going to try a
[02:28:20] bunch of different cameras here or I'm just going to try one God damn it every single rig has runcam Nano 3s on it so that's the only camera that we can
[02:28:34] TR hold on is there one of these rigs that I'm desperate to take apart right now of course not let me think for one second [@$#%] it I'll take this rig apart again first we're going to test the
[02:29:08] RunCam nano3 so in the past I had a build with this t-motor 1S AO and this cadx ant light and with these HD 3s hooked up to this power play it gave me 60 frames a second
[02:29:36] with analog video ever since then I've never been able to get 60 frames a second again which is super confusing and so I am on the hunt to figure out what the hell was it was
[02:29:53] it the camera that was doing it or was it the AI that was doing it and we've talked about this over the last couple of streams and right now we are going to get to the bottom of it so
[02:30:08] this is on this is on so first we're going to test the RunCam net thus far I've tested the Newbie drone bi camera that does not give it well everything has been run through HappyModel aios at
[02:30:21] this point that might be the problem I don't think so but it might be so the Newbie drone bi camera through the HappyModel AIO into the same goggles and power play that have done this in the
[02:30:34] past 30 frames a second I also tested the the fxt camera that comes with the Mobula 6 2024 30 frames a second no joy RunCam nano3 I'm going to test right now I'm hitting record on the
[02:30:53] power play I'm going to move my hand in front of it and that's all we need now I'm going to take this rig apart again so that I can test the katx ant
[02:31:12] light I don't like the cadx ant light because it's not good in low light light and sometimes at the RC drift car place it's very dark so I've saved this to last because I
[02:31:31] just don't like this camera but I'll tell you what if this camera does is the only one that gives me 60 frames a second I'll run it I'll I'll have I have two of these rigs designed to chase the
[02:31:44] little RC drift cars one of them will be the low light rig at 60 frames the other one will be the I'm sorry the one of them will be the low light rig at 30 frames the other one will be the slow
[02:31:56] motion rig with the cadx ant light that gives me 60 frames and so let's figure that out right now come on now grommets are all falling out [@$#%] it I'm just going to half ass this I'm not
[02:32:19] going to put this back together on stream I'm just going to janky unplug this fxt camera that we tested on yesterday's stream I guess it was James Thomas says my Aerospace company that
[02:32:32] will remain unnamed at this time ah very cool very very cool all right here we go so I really hope that the that the runcam Nano three will give me 60 frames because that camera has a has less of
[02:32:58] a field of view and that will look really cool it already has I've already run that camera a little bit around the drift cars and it looks awesome because everything I do is even closer
[02:33:12] because of the because of the more narrow field of view so it looks like I'm closer than I actually am which is great because [@$#%] is it hard to stay close to those guys Jesus the chasing the little RC drifts
[02:33:27] cars is some of the hardest flying I've ever done hands down arguably the hardest all right there's the cadx ant light that's all I needed all righthere we
[02:33:46] go something just fell off this I wonder what it was all right Jesus I'm making a mess over here okay so unplug this turn this off turn this off it better not be that AIO God that's
[02:34:04] going to be frustrating if if I have to run this t-motor AO just to get 60 frames a second out of Analog Man it is cool 60 frames a second slowed down to 50% with these little RC drifts cars is Magic Man
[02:34:19] you can see like the rear wheels start to like spin like when they come off and on the throttle you can see like the rear wheels stop and start again it's really slick you can just barely see it
[02:34:29] at 100% speed at 30 frames but not quite let me launch Premiere real quick it just makes it so much easier the the new RC drift edit that I'm so in love with is either going to go up
[02:34:49] tomorrow or this coming Saturday I think it's going to go up this coming Saturday I think I'm going to schedule it out for then sorry to make you guys wait no I will put it up on patreon tomorrow
[02:35:01] for you guys on patreon tomorrow you guys will get the first look at the really really really cool edit that we did Friday into Saturday you I you you're going to [@$#%] love it with I
[02:35:16] played it on the intro of the stream yesterday with the wrong music with my intro music it's nothing the the the music that I've put in with the edit that you guys got to hear on Friday
[02:35:26] mixes so perfect it is absolutely magic I'm I I've not been as in love with an edit as I am with this one and I long time what the hell why what the project was not saved
[02:35:39] from a previous version of Premiere what I don't care do whatever you want Premiere oh come on now really oh why is this my life mcch says I've been I've done a bunch of Motors if you use a stator
[02:36:05] that they already have that's the key if you use a stator that they already have when you're doing a new bell design they can do really small runs of those I work with most
[02:36:14] of the major motor manufacturers they'll almost always do a small run for you with a custom Bell unfortunately what what we're looking for is is a custom wind it's a custom KV the the
[02:36:25] Bell is actually going to be the same as as all the existing Motors we want them to do a really extreme wind of the of the Stater oh Jesus
[02:36:41] Christ I do whatever you want I'm over this Premiere okay here we go so so here is the runam nano3 and I'm going to go to 50% speed oh come on now 50% speed and we're going to go
[02:37:04] frame by frame nope 30 frames a second see that frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame right it's doubled the frames are
[02:37:16] doubled so the runcam Nano 3 will not do it's that's a bummer well maybe it'll do it we're what we're about let's see so this is the the RunCam ant light son of a [@$#%]
[02:37:33] it's the ant [Laughter] light well that's good well that's actually that's not I would I would actually rather have it be the AIO because then I could use any camera man that
[02:37:51] is there it is I'll be damned I'll be godamn frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame right you got it well mystery has been solved okay all
[02:38:14] right I'll be damned I did not expect that I don't know what I expected but I I I I I I don't know wow okay so the Newbie drone bi the fxt camera on the Mobula 6
[02:38:34] 2024 and the runcam Nano 3 all output 30 frames a second to the VTX and then the VTX sends 60 frames and the the the goggles receive the 60 frames and then they put
[02:38:49] push oh we have one more test we have one more test though the last test is of the the hd0 goggles will these so the HD zero goggles have de interlacing on the on the the analog video input and so
[02:39:16] the way that analog video works is that it's 640 by 480 so you've got 480 vertical lines of resolution each frame that it sends so there's all these lines here the the
[02:39:31] first frame has line line line line line line line line and then the next frame has a set of lines so it's actually bounces every once in a while you'll tell like analog video kind of
[02:39:43] bounces up and down that's what's happening frame one so it's 60 hertz 60 frames a second so it's the the frame one is here frame two is there frame three frame four 5 6
[02:39:55] 7 8 9 10 11 12 but there's a there's 480 of those lines so the jittering is not that bad these goggles the reason why the analog video that these record look so good is that it does what's
[02:40:08] called D inter so these are interlaced these are interlac lines of resolution this de interlaces them and so potentially we're about to find out what it does is it takes those two
[02:40:22] frames frame one frame two and then frame three frame four and it smacks them together so this is going to be cool let's see the this so the the way that I got 60 frames is with this
[02:40:36] regular DVRs do not capture 60 frames this immersion RC power play does capture 60 frames does the D interlacing convert the 60 frames to 30 is a question that we are about to
[02:41:00] answer [@$#%] I'm gonna have to arm it aren't I damn it oh wait no no no no no no it's records as soon as soon as it gets video it's already recording ah come on there we go we're good and so now I
[02:41:20] just kill the video feed and that will complete the file there we go good to go all right and so I the the description that I gave of that is pretty sort of rudimentary and I probably missed a
[02:41:35] couple things in there but I just want to give you guys the gist of it as quickly as I possibly can I used to know a lot more about that [@$#%] but man it's been a long time it's been
[02:41:48] Jesus it's been more than 20 years since I learned that stuff in college that is ridiculous I turned 43 a few days ago last week [@$#%] which memory card is which this is the one oh oh oh I can't
[02:42:03] wait I'm so interested I it would not so the the the files are 60 frames a second from the HD zero goggles but I'll bet you that that this is only going to give us 30
[02:42:22] frames because of the D interlacing I would love to be wrong though I hope I'm wrong here we go we're going to go to 50% speed [@$#%] and yep there it is yep so the de
[02:42:45] interlacing process converts it to 30 frames frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame frame so a I now have to I have to bring both
[02:43:01] sets of goggles oh God damn it because here's the other thing on the on the on the HD zero goggles they have a little e inch AV port on the bottom but it doesn't seem to do
[02:43:21] anything I I tried plugging in the immersion RC power play to it and it doesn't send any video out to it so when I fly God damn it well anybody want to buy a set of hd0
[02:43:46] goggles I'll tell you why I'm never going to use hd0 the the and when I I'll do another comparison but I've already done the comparison once the de interlaced video from
[02:44:07] these it looks a little tiny tiny tiny tiny bit better than the non de interlaced video from the HD 3s feeding into the power play but I would rather have one set of
[02:44:23] goggles that's way lighter and way more comfortable I hate having this stupid thing I hate dealing with this but it's not that bad and I would rather just have to car cuz I'm not going to bring both of these
[02:44:40] sets of goggles and go like all right what am I doing now am I doing this 60 okay I'm doing the 60 frame per second rig okay all right let me get my HD3 out HD right
[02:44:50] there 60 frames okay let me go back to the high quality 30 frames these one like no no no HD Zer go goes for sale sorry but these are not I these are heavy I'm never going to use
[02:45:11] hd0 no these are getting sold it's been driving me nuts to have these goggles the WalkSnail goggles the HD 3s my backup set of HD3 the [@$#%] DJI goggles it's ridiculous
[02:45:28] there's too many goddamn goggles no these are gone these are gone I don't need him gone like tomorrow and I do want to do one more video quality test for the record these goggles are
[02:45:46] [@$#%] awesome if without the 60 frame per second thing I would absolutely keep these but no no if there no this is a fun adventure this is a fun adventure but these need to go
[02:46:08] to somebody that's going to use HD zero on them this is absolutely absurd to have this for analog this is ridiculous that that that that is like a complete waste to just use these for
[02:46:24] analog so somebody make me a an offer I can't refuse on them and they're all yours not right away though you got to wait at least a week for me to test the quality one more time
[02:46:36] because I don't know maybe the first test I did was I I always think that the first test that I do is wrong in some way and I always have to retest stuff matter rightly says someone who races
[02:46:50] will want those they're all all in on hdz on racing somebody will want them for sure I don't they're not going to come with that rapid fire
[02:47:03] module if you're interested message me I'll tell you what they have what they don't have it's like don't make me an offer less than $500 though because they come with four really nice stubby antennas
[02:47:17] they come with like the $100 little piece on the side for Bluetooth and for the analog module they come with a patch antenna they come with a bunch of stuff so maybe I'll keep that patch antenna
[02:47:39] I don't know and they're in like beautiful shape so don't don't don't lowball me I know what I got the mystery of 60 frames on analog has been solved godamn that is that is that makes
[02:47:53] me very happy very very happy very happy I'll be sad to see the HD zero goggles go I i' I've been very impressed by them but it's just insane to use them only for
[02:48:09] analog what are we flying we're flying six batteries let's fly the Mobula 6 2024 I haven't flown that in a minute we're not going to fly six batteries I'm going to fly two batteries because I
[02:48:26] don't have a lot of the gates set up down here so we're going to do two batteries real quick but if I'm flying you need to be flying too my friends get your six batteries in for the day I
[02:48:35] don't care how late it is get your practice in get better at flying FPV and you'll have a happier life I I don't know I mean you will let me get out of
[02:48:57] here and all right cool where the hell's my transmitter there it is thanks for hanging people it's been another good one another good live stream I mean they're all good aren't
[02:49:15] they [@$#%] no they're not some of these live streams are a hot goddamn mess but that's okay they're a hot mess with friends Kevin summmer says are you sure the cameras running at 60
[02:49:29] frames aren't one Field behind so they can do scan line manipulation thus one frame behind thus higher latency I don't know what a lot of those words mean in that order that
[02:49:42] you've put them in Kevin but I take the footage off of them I put it into Premiere and I slow it down to 50% and it is or it isn't Kevin how's the how's the camera testing going I'm
[02:50:01] super interested if there's any other cameras that will give me 60 frames a second I would love that more than because I don't like the catx an light which you do know you missed my
[02:50:16] earlier message okay Jake E says how are you capturing at 60 frames per second we talked about that Kevin Su says those sets of scan lines are typically called a field and
[02:50:36] two backtack fields are a frame ah okay I meton says if it was doing it the correct way it would be 30 frames per second because every field is effectively half frame right it's
[02:50:49] combining them that makes sense that makes sense sure the cameras are running I don't I don't know what the I don't know what the cameras are actually running at I I I just I don't care you
[02:51:08] know what I mean I I don't care what the cameras are running at I there's no other way for me to get 60 frames then it's sounds like the cadx camera is doing it's should not be out
[02:51:18] putting 60 frames but I love that it is what I mean so can you what's happening oh it's in Wi-Fi mode isn't it's is hold on try unplugging it plugging it back
[02:51:36] in rockworth says what analog Goggles do you recommend use around 200 had my attitude V5 dive on me today I don't know about pricing but I really like other than when they beep like this I
[02:51:50] really like fat shark HD3 and you can probably get them pretty cheap you sons of [@$#%] and then the hdos and the HD o2s are a good choice as well I don't know what the the
[02:52:06] goggles are going for though but pretty much any used fat sharks are going to be awesome it's just it tends to be a field of view thing look up what the field of view is figure out what field of view
[02:52:18] you prefer and then stick with that in my opinion Walter says have a few RC planes nope I've never had any I've never had any want or desire to fly RC planes and I've never flown
[02:52:41] one God damn this thing is light wow this is a pretty much stock Mobula 6 2024 man wow 28,000 KV is just ridiculous at 17.1 gr dry look at that this is unreal [@$#%] you happy
[02:53:07] model God damn it how dare you uhoh we're going down that might not be recoverable oh come on on now oh oh I'm right I'm right in the big wiry bit in front of the
[02:53:31] sub no it ain't coming out of there F be hard to reach too bet okay oh man this oh God I forgot how good this thing is Jesus ah oh no the exit is always the hardest
[02:54:21] part that's what she said oh God I was I was so worried about the exit that I forgot to not hit the bottom of the dive Tower God damn it is so the [@$#%] gate dive is the hardest
[02:54:39] thing to get consistently I mean even at all like forget consistency just getting in and out of this what was that oh my God why can't I do it why am I so
[02:54:56] worthless oh my God stop it that doesn't count oh God why oh [@$#%] oh don't die what a little bit ugly but I'll take it that's better oh don't make me walk again
[02:55:30] please simrig be cool be cool thank you no no no get out of there that's breakables oh God yes I a power up oh God what's up Pacer 164s how are you oh my God this thing is
[02:56:03] just ridiculous [@$#%] you seven like the difference between 17 and 18 grams doesn't sound like much until you do the the until you work the percentage out it's like a 6% difference
[02:56:30] right think about that in a 5-in rig a 5- in rig that's 6% lighter that's 612 24 like 40 gram difference that's super noticeable battery did not last very long though that's interesting usually
[02:56:50] I'm getting like four minutes of run time on this thing let's that there's one of the BetaFPV lava batteries hold on let's run another one I mean that was
[02:57:04] pretty that was a pretty aggressive battery I guess and I mean there's nothing wrong with three minutes of run time I just I previously this rig would get like four which was always like
[02:57:20] mindblowing oh god oh [@$#%] I think it went in there you bastard how is it how am I more consistent doing Matty flip backwards dives through this damn thing than regular old it's cuz I don't have
[02:57:42] to roll oh God that looks cool the the difficulty in this Matty flip backwards dive is a double throttle blip I have to go blip blip cuz I have to blip it once to kill the forward
[02:58:08] momentum so it doesn't hit the door and then I have to blip it again at the bottom to keep it from hitting the ground Flip Flip n I didn't get it right that time I don't always get it right
[02:58:21] Flip Flip see it you can hear it right little double blip it double blipp you can kind of cheat it and maybe not use that first blip if you go really slow but I I still do it because I'm
[02:58:38] used to it let's do this let's just bounce all over the place this is like the busiest part of the basement over here there's the [@$#%] Bas drum right here there's like a one like a twoot gap to this
[02:58:51] [@$#%] chair there's all this nonsense aelia's little tiny amp that she hasn't used in a month how the hell do I get this 13-year-old to practice guitar any ideas
[02:59:14] friends oh oh so did you hear the extra little blip I did there that was cuz I I I didn't have it lined up quite right I that that was me making a little correction that's
[02:59:30] not usually necessary but sometimes helps it depends it depends on how much speed I carry into it see that I didn't need it on that one I needed it on that
[02:59:50] one oh God why oh my God this [@$#%] thing oh wow I really went inverted on that that was cool oh so close what's funny th this gigantic power Loop the Ultimate
[03:00:28] Freestyle tiny whoop does has a lot easier oh God has a lot easier of a time doing it because it's got more weight for for the throw and then it's just got more power the the lightweight doesn't
[03:00:41] necessarily the one thing that this Ultra lightweight rig doesn't do incredibly well is like carry and fling across the room it still has plenty don't get me wrong it still
[03:00:54] has plenty of momentum as you can see there but the this giant power Loop is where I actually noticed it wow it's actually went through the gate but it was it was in the middle of Crash recovery oh God
[03:01:10] word so there we go there 3 minutes and 30 still not quite 4 minutes but 337 we're almost to four all right one more one more battery we'll do three instead of
[03:01:21] six what's up Ryan Blaze all right last one my friends okay damn dude cadx ant light 60 frames a second hell the mystery has been solved I I [@$#%] knew it I knew that was
[03:01:51] it what was that that that was a weird little ah there was a weird little uncommanded moment there that I was not expecting let's go upstairs it's probably all dark it's worth a shot
[03:02:09] though oh it's not all dark o oh yeah here we go here we go work on my right-handed Orbits for a second oh that's as good as I've had it wait so if I
[03:02:39] go oh Jesus I'm so bad at trippy spins I [@$#%] hate them so much I just think they look dumb but actually if I could lock one in here this would be pretty
[03:02:51] cool all right so it's both sticks in all right hold on so what I'm gonna try to do this another night it's really late and I don't want to wake Maggie
[03:03:12] up that little catch at the end there was just delicious ah what oh no no no don't eat me thank you Sim rig here we go [Laughter] y try it over here and yoink oh God it's
[03:03:46] so satisfying oh no no no what am I doing why did I disarm oh that was cool looking ah I don't know what I'm doing that was weird going a mirror flip in oh we got
[03:04:31] close oh too close what oh man I knocked that down the hell ah come on that was a pretty good one try one more time n that one sucked oh with a little touch at the end get get out of
[03:05:04] there this battery's pretty much done there you go friends hope you enjoyed my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti go to my website support me and we will keep hanging out like this together
[03:05:21] till the dawn of time until the FAA says no more drones for anyone even inside the house and then I will cry and pee my pants hopefully in that order maybe not
[03:05:38] Wednesday regular Wednesday live stream this week next week Wednesday live stream will either be cancelled or early earlier fair warning thanks for hanging my friends
[03:05:52] see you Wednesday at 8 Eastern byebye I'm not ready I'm just going to pick a random file from this the card that was in the HD zero goggles it's me flying around here
[03:06:17] this is from the other night that's funny there's the the HD zero goggles record audio I don't know what I was flying here I do 36,000 KV Ultimate Freestyle tiny whoop
[03:06:30] this is from the stream the other night but you'll get to see what it looks like through the through the DVR on the on the Bing bongs thanks for hanging friends
[03:06:41] bye see you guys Wednesday a n a n a
