[00:05:16]   I can slam this canopy back on so I we we've got some flight footage from this thing from the HD I made it a point to where the HD zero goggles and I just ripped it around outside

[00:05:28]   a bunch and I don't know I I think maybe I'm starting to figure out 75mm one flying outside maybe kind of sort of no no no true I still do need to put the 40,000 KV

[00:05:47]   Motors back onto a 65mm and that's going to be like that's going to be where I really kind of figure that out figure this out because I have a funny feeling feeling

[00:06:01]   that that will give me kind of the same performance but what I think we might run into is a runtime issue so I I I think 75 still does make sense for outside because of the runtime stuff

[00:06:16]   so finding a home finding a home for all different sizes all different all different propeller sizes all different all up weights all different configurations

[00:06:30]    I also ran this ort antenna a bunch and good Lord it outperformed the hell out of the true RC Singularity Ultra short sitting right up against the PCB next up I'm going to try this ortt

[00:06:45]   antenna against just like a regular whip antenna which is what I'm looking for right now there's one and so that'll be cool I'm kind of excited about that there we go there's

[00:06:59]   short lightweight whip antenna so that'll be the next comparison the the other thing that we can kind of compare well so we can compare RunCam Nanos one of these this

[00:07:14]   one has the runcam Nano 3 that's meant for the emac tiny Hawk I want to say and it's direct solder and I have it direct solder to the board this one has the standard old school RunCam Nano 3 with

[00:07:32]   a plug on it and good God the difference is is unbelievable in these two cameras somebody in the in the chat not too long ago was saying it might have been Kevin suner that they discovered

[00:07:46]   there's four different versions of the runcam Nano I've known about three of them I believe the OG one with the round lens the next version of it and then the the emac Nano Hawk but I

[00:08:03]   think there's at least one more maybe two more because that's how math Works but kind of wild that there there's so many different versions of it I just put this antenna on in the

[00:08:16]   wrong order so we can take a look at that and the other difference between these two rigs that we're going to talk about is 30,000 KV Motors versus 27,000 KV Motors one of these

[00:08:35]   has is that really not going to be long enough are you kidding me right now one of these has 30,000 KV Staters that I pulled from a set of old tiny whoop

[00:08:53]   onesies when I say old I'm talking like over a year old like the these are older Motors with the ow Bells the other one has look at that look at the the length difference in these two I need this one

[00:09:11]   because I need to get it outside of the canopy the other one has Brand neish igal 0802 they both have 802s the other one has brand new 27,000 KV IGA Motors I get the funny feeling I'll

[00:09:31]   spoil the surprise the one with the 27,000 flies better I don't hear a difference between the two of them in terms of when you go Full Throttle usually with a higher KV motor

[00:09:50]   if it's actually higher KV and if it if it has enough Stater to push the propeller and use that higher KV right this is one of the things we're going to really be talking about you'll hear it

[00:10:06]   wind up higher you go Full Throttle with one it goes you go Full Throttle with the other it goes wh and so you can hear the difference this is why I'll always like give a bunch of throttle

[00:10:19]   blasts here when I'm doing testing so that you can all hear it through the microphone when I do like 36,000 KV rig and then we upgrade to 40,000 KV you can hear it here versus

[00:10:31]   one versus the other right and so I'm not hearing a difference so I think there's one of two things going on I think either the old school Stater is not wound as properly as the I I so the the

[00:10:54]   stator the 30,000 KV stator is from over a year ago it was the very first time that tiny whoop made 802 30,000 KV Motors I got them right away it might be from even

[00:11:10]   longer than that ago it might be from like a year and a half two years ago and there's just a chance that HappyModel has optimized the way that they're winding the motors and or the thickness of

[00:11:28]   the copper it's might have thinner copper in it around the Stater poles and so we can kind of mythbust that a little bit what I'm going to do today if I have the time because the edit is the

[00:11:43]   priority the edit has to be in by midnight Eastern I think Eastern tonight so the edit gets priority but if we have time today if not we'll do it on no we won't do it tomorrow night

[00:13:14]   these two into BetaFlight pull the props off put them into bet well we'll leave the props on first props on put it into BetaFlight spin a motor up see what kind of RPM values we get plug the

[00:13:26]   other rig in they're on the same props plug the other rig in do the same thing see if 27,000 KV versus 30,000 KV with propellers on see if the 30,000 will crank up to a higher

[00:13:41]   RPM I suspect that they won't because doing it that way is not is is the hardest possible thing you can do to a motor when you hold this thing in your hand and crank these motors up to full

[00:13:55]   speed they have to pull all of the the all of the a that they're pulling in is static and that's way harder than when they're in the air ripping through the the sky and you've got incoming air from

[00:14:06]   the momentum that they're carrying so in a so so that all this is why thrust stand results are not really accurate in a lot of cases because it's a loaded test stand and that

[00:14:24]   only in in the real world you only get that result for the first split second that you go Full Throttle right that first Split Second when you go Full Throttle it's not moving so that is

[00:14:35]   perfectly accurate but then as soon as it starts moving the thrust stand data is is not quite as accurate right so we're going to do a loaded test with the propellers on we'll see if we get any

[00:14:47]   any different result then we'll take the propellers off I'm just going to pull one propeller off of each and then we'll spin them up fully unloaded that's basically a KV test so we'll confirm

[00:15:00]   that this this one really does have the 30,000 KV Staters which I know because I can see that it's red and this one is 27,000 KV so we'll mythbust that a little bit and

[00:15:14]   then hopefully move on quick tip for you get your big long piece of solder get your nice big screwdriver wrap it around the back and now put a side of it up Bunch

[00:15:34]   it up like this and then you've got a little solder stand that you can sit down on your desk you can take the tip of your so if you need to pick up a little bit of solder you take the tip of

[00:15:44]   your soldering iron drop it down it'll pick a little bit of solder up and you do your work because it's just sitting on your desk like this and then when you when you want to go two-handed with it

[00:36:43]   too county FPV says I just found out the Mobula 7 frames are more shallow than the meteor frame yep turn mod just destroys props with mobula frame because the props are above the frame it

[00:36:55]   depends County it depends on what propellers and what motors you run the GemFan 60 1610 propellers that I really recommend they sit just like damn near perfect just barely below the

[00:37:11]    the duct line and so when you're up and you're turtle moding the props will not hit the ground different propellers have the blades higher and lower and then also there's

[00:37:22]   different Motors of course right so if you've got like a 3mm tall motor like an 0803 three or something that's going to put the prop up a little bit higher but it doesn't have to be

[00:37:32]   like that this is the Mobula 7 V4 frame and as you can see the just ever so slightly the center the center of the propeller sits up above the duct but these have no problem Turtle moding

[00:37:45]   I was blasting these around I've been blasting these around forever I should say I was going to say just yesterday but it's been I've been I've had these built for months

[00:38:02]   free lojo putting the patreon link into the chat thank you dude hendri froid says the whip antennas are linear right correct and if so are your goggles antennas linear as well or does it

[00:38:14]   really even matter that much it absolutely does matter but it matters in the opposite direction that you're thinking linear antennas are the worst performing if you if if you so

[00:38:26]   quad side goggle side linear to linear is the worst possible combination if you change either to Circular polarized you're going to get an increase in performance and then if you change both

[00:38:39]   to Circular polarized you're going to get another increase in performance as long as your circular polarized antenna is not right on top of the

[00:38:52]   pdb and you're going to fly freestyle putting the the the ultra short antenna inside of these Mobula 6 canopies while incredibly satisfying it wrecks the flight

[00:39:06]   performance if you fly above your head basically elevation wise or you're doing freestyle flipping and flopping rotating rolling pitching all that [@$#%] because when you have the head of the antenna

[00:39:23]   and this has nothing to do with CP antennas if you ran a linear an antenna with the linear the active element right next to the pdb in the same spot as the the TR RC Singularity Ultra short it

[00:39:36]   would be just as bad when you have the active element of the antenna right up against a board that has a ground plane in it that's solid copper the active element of the antenna

[00:39:49]   goes behind so for example right here's the antenna so for you guys right now everything is fine so we fly around this is the best case scenario CP on the quad CP on your goggles every well almost

[00:40:03]   everything is great you can start to maybe see where things go bad here but from here all the way around that is the best case scenario that's going to give you the best possible coverage but if

[00:40:15]   you fly so for you guys it would be like this if you fly away from yourself you're putting that CP antenna in between in this case two sheets of copper because there's the the VTX and

[00:40:31]   the AO and that's going to give you terrible coverage so if you've got your antenna really close to the P to the pdb when you fly away from yourself like this you've buried the antenna and

[00:40:44]   you're going to rely on bounces and that's when things get nasty but now you can also see from a freestyle standpoint all the way from here to there the coverage is going to be

[00:41:01]   terrible but it's not just on the pitch axis it's also on the roll axis so every single time you flip this thing into this orientation that you guys are looking at here so bottom plate

[00:41:13]   facing towards you and then like it doesn't matter which direction you're going right you're going to get terrible coverage and running a linear antenna out the back or up the top like this is

[00:41:27]   going to really help with that problem we still do have a little bit here where we can't see the antenna right now great coverage great coverage great coverage bad coverage bad bad bad but look the

[00:41:40]   antenna starts peeking out much earlier all the way here you guys can do this test if you ever want to see how good your rig is going to perform from a video standpoint hold the damn thing out

[00:41:50]   in front of you and if you can see the antenna then you're going to get perfect coverage as soon as you can't see the antenna and it's behind carbon fiber or Lithium Polymer or a sheet of copper a

[00:42:02]   ground plane you're going to get terrible coverage this is how you dial in your antenna placement this is why on most of my builds that I care about video coverage I'll put the antenna at a

[00:42:16]   45 degree angle this way when I'm flying at a 45 degree angle the antenna is almost perfectly level because the the the strongest part of antennas is right out here it's like the coverage pattern

[01:10:38]   to I'm just like what the hell and so I have a bunch of footage that's really good but what I realized is I I so I started to just grab like the absolute best bits where I'm like two

[01:10:50]   millimeters off these guys and I started to just smash those all together but then what I kind of realized is I could just come in here and I had this big chase like this is where it starts here

[01:11:04]   well actually no the the the big run no I guess it does start up here it's starts a little bit before this but it looks like I cut it out but this is like one big chase where I was pretty

[01:11:20]   much in it and I decided to just chop a bunch of the bits out and hopefully I don't know hopefully that that it's more cohesive than just a whole bunch of random [@$#%] right like I chopped out the

[01:11:42]   little bits in between because I wanted I I wanted to keep the Action Moving I wanted to have cuts to syn up with the song and to not have it when you just have one big run like there are

[01:11:54]   just moment moments that you're kind of waiting in in between so hopefully chopping it up like this is not too abrupt and it's more focusing on like the really really cool moments some of

[01:12:07]   it though like some of these are are playing to the music right like like this is this right here is is one of the best shots in the whole thing like the this just fell into place perfectly I

[01:12:22]   just barely kept it off the ground these two here though that and that it's about the music look at how it lays in here right so the flying is not necessarily as good in those two but it

[01:12:45]   sits in there really nice with that like siren thing right so it's a mix it's a mix with it's a mix of like the the best little chunks of flying but also some moments that well and also like I

[01:13:01]   don't want to cut so much out like I I want it to I mean you guys tell me can you tell that that's one big circuit I hope to God because I spent a ton of time trying to not cut so much out right

[01:16:14]   still I don't know I and that's cool like like I this Direction Change man it is it doesn't look like it but holy hell is it hard to do it is really hard to get like a head

[01:16:26]   on and then rotate with them stab the throttle to change directions and not bounce up elevation or not like drive yourself into the carpet it doesn't look it looks good but it

[01:16:42]   I so there's that like the fact that it's difficult for me to do that and I finally like really nailed it that's something in my head that's like I'm going to use this but

[01:16:53]   for the normal viewer they don't get that so I don't know and this is the first FPV shot so I want it to be really strong I don't know it's mixes really well with this static shot

[01:17:07]   handheld shot I should say and I don't know I'm torn and now we're showing the blue cars and now we're going to get this is here to stay the like just that dropping down and being all all up

[01:17:32]   on the headlight and then this and then it Segways into this really nice as well like your eyeline is off on the right side of the screen here you're you're looking at the the light

[01:17:46]   blue I think it's an M2 competition so your ey line is off on the right and then on the cut look where your eyeline is right you're kind of looking at his wheel because cuz his his wheel is sort

[01:17:56]   of the focal point right and if you put your finger this is what I do I I close one eye and I put my finger on his wheel and my fingernail is now like where the in theory where the viewer's eyeball is

[01:18:07]   and then when I go to the next frame bang my fingernail is right on the center of action these two cars and we rotate around and then your eye can track them up but on on those cuts I try

[01:18:18]   not to have you need to do one of these right I want the the focal point before the cut to match after the cut so it's just more you can more smoothly kind of move your eyeballs around it's

[01:18:31]   less drawing it's less like wait where am I where am I supposed to look right like that's our job as editors our job as editors is to guide the viewers Vision a little bit not leave it

[01:18:43]   up to them not have them like because they're not necessarily going to look at the right thing like especially if if you want them to look at something this is an old trick from still photography

[01:18:53]   right like if you want to Focus somebody's if you want to focus somebody on the center of the frame for example you're going to do all kinds of [@$#%] to the outside of the frame to get them to

[01:19:05]   not look at it you're going to throw it out of blur with bokeh you're going to you can do like vignettes you can do all kinds of stuff you can desaturate the outside of the frame or anywhere if

[01:19:16]   if you want somebody to be looking in the top right corner of the frame you can soften up the the whole rest of the frame you you guide the viewer's eye where you want it to go that is is

[01:19:26]   instill photography that is how you have to storytelling their Vision over here for example for the most important thing and then if you hook them and if they don't just immediately click off of it they're

[01:19:40]   going to naturally start looking around a little bit and that's the storytelling process with one single individual frame with video we there it's a lot more open-ended it's a

[01:19:51]   lot easier to storytelling ant BBC says not going to lie it definitely seems harder than life-sized cars it is I've chased full-size drift cars before this is

[01:20:09]   way harder if nothing else you have to sit in ground effect all the time in here and it's brutal but also these cars change direction so much quicker the the full-size cars they settle into a drift

[01:20:22]   and they're there for like or four to 6 seconds let's say and then they transition when they're going to transition it's very obvious and you've had time to settle in with these I

[01:20:35]   get like a half a second to settle in before they're transitioning and in that like half a second to a second they're they're making these like tiny little tiny little Corrections all over the

[01:20:45]   place this is Mega hard if I chase if I'd put 20 batteries a day every other week into chasing fullsize drift cars I would be the guy I would be the one shooting the Formula Drift events

[01:20:59]   and whatnot would be an absurd amount I don't know if I mean there aren't event well I guess there are events that go down that often but whatever this is more fun

[01:21:11]   arguably so I think a lot of this is good I mean is there anything that was kind of jarring to you guys so we've got I I'm also tempted to throw I have some more handicam

[02:17:53]   30,000 would kind of overheat almost so I'm going to pull one propeller off of each one of these to remove all of the actual load that's on the on the motors and we'll spin them

[02:18:12]   up and see the the I'm super interested in what's what we're going to get here I'll bet you these 30,000 do spin I mean there's a chance that these 30,000 KV Staters are so old and back then it
