[00:00:55] heyyyy hey friends my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti that was the battery going all the way dead because I was a rig without
[00:02:01] OSD welcome to Sunday Q&A sorry we're late I'm late I was doing yard work not paying attention to time we're going to swap we're going to begin to swap the ESC out over here today and Q&A as
[00:02:22] always and we're going to fly six batteries on this guy because I need to I need to beat this Frame up more to see if it's so that's the plan for today hang on a second

[00:03:05] that with each other type each other's names and for that person it'll light up an orange you can get each other's attention that way C fv.com is the website click all

[00:03:55] build I'm going to do more work on it Wednesday coming back on Wednesday I'm I I still don't know what to do about the about the fact that I I ran the wires too short
[00:04:11] from the I'm I I still I I just can't look at it if if I look at it I'm going to hit's with a hammer because I'm just so frustrated at myself it was just such a dumb thing to do and it and it's
[00:04:24] just I just created so much more work for myself so I'm still like in mourning about that but whatever I'll get over it Gert Jan says hello smok a dog Kujo says can you get
[00:04:38] a peeps at GemFan to make a 35mm prop that will fit a 1 and a half millimeter shaft I can't possibly imagine that they would do that they have sold barely any of the 35 mm props so there's
[00:04:56] pretty much no shot of them making an spending another couple of grand to make a new mold for more 35mm props that nobody's going to buy if and quite honestly if I was going to
[00:05:08] ask them to do anything revolving around 35mm props it would be to make a byblade a 1 mm 35 1 mm shaft 35 mm diameter byblade would actually potentially make the the the 65 Pro frame viable that that
[00:05:31] triblade is just is just brutal but they're they're not gonna they're not going to do 35 millimet stuff I I I I haven't even had luck getting them to do a 1 and a half millimeter
[00:05:44] shaft 1.2 inch byblade I I asked Mike about that and he did not seem very into it so the nobody's going to make the 35mm props that it's just it sorry bad says got my Mobula 6
[00:06:05] 2024 today and I love it's the V2 also so motor swaps are good awesome love that they're did you did you order did you order the woo what did you order did you
[00:06:20] did you order the regular one or did when you were order it sounds like you didn't know when you were ordering it sorry it sounds like you didn't know you were ordering the plug version when
[00:06:36] you ordered it there we go is that true I'm I I wonder if they've just bailed on the on the direct the direct soldered ones because we've heard an awful lot of people complaining about
[00:06:54] problems with them so I I wonder if they they kind of gave up on that I I I kind of hope not because the racers are desperate for direct solder and I don't think the I don't think the motor plug
[00:07:15] one is like optimized no that's not true if you pull there are perfectly good pads there on the motor plug one it would not totally surprise me if they completely bail
[00:07:30] on the the direct solder version I wonder bad says I checked with the site prior as the listing said you could get either ah okay and they confirmed their new
[00:07:45] B they confirmed their new batch was all V2 interesting I wonder I wonder what's going on there by the way I forgot to show and or tell you guys this on my
[00:08:04] V2 I don't I don't really know how it happened but the the the UFL plug broke off and so this is what it looks like when you then completely remove the UFL and direct solder an antenna and now
[00:08:30] this will never ever ever ever ever break because that E6000 is super strong so for example I've been waiting to do this but I can look how hard I can pry up on this and that E6000 just hangs
[00:08:44] out there so I I would rather it have not happened but if you have a UFL break off as long as it doesn't rip the pads off with it you can fix it and I got lucky it just kind
[00:09:02] of it just kind of like smashed the UFL I think if I'm honest I think I broke the UFL I I I think that I know that the antenna popped off and while I was chasing the
[00:09:24] drift cars and then I tried to put the antenna back on and it was being like super stubborn and I tried and I tried and I tried and then I got frustrated and I started to like really kind of
[00:09:37] push on it and I didn't feel anything break it could have been broken the whole time but I did start pushing on it pretty hard and that might have been when I
[00:09:48] broke like like the plastic of the UFL was was broken so it could totally have been my fault or it could have been when the UFL popped off it's just broke it I I don't
[00:10:03] really know but be super gentle all the time forever with ufls they're just infinitely fragile and if you're going to have if you're going to have a rig where the antenna is hanging out
[00:10:20] like this where like the antenna is not inside of a canopy look if you have a rig where there's 's any chance of the antenna popping off you got to secure the UFL on the 5 in rigs it's a situation
[00:10:40] where you've got your VTX you've got like your U UFL here and then what you can do is you can run the antenna up this way and then put a piece of shrink wrap down in the bottom to hold the UFL
[00:10:52] down to the pad and then run the antenna out that way so if the antenna gets pulled it pulls on the shrink wrap on Tiny whoops it's E6000 just look like just E6000 your your your ufl's
[00:11:11] down it comes off super easily and it'll prevent that from happening and I mean if if if that had pulled the pads off that AIO would be done so don't do
[00:11:27] it Cloud Hopper says I found a never flown tg4 elrs M 6 on eBay cheap but it was a version one I made sure it flew and then upgraded BetaFlight put my CLI on it now it's stuck in one video
[00:11:44] frequency one of the most annoying things about the Mobula 6es is that they've used different VTX tables over the years and so so you just need to try so you've got the wrong VTX table on there and so
[00:12:06] you need to just find as many Mobula 6 VTX tables as you can and drop them on there and cross your fingers I have a link here which I don't think is the right VTX table but it's worth a
[00:12:26] shot so I think this is the one try this I mean Christ try them both you're not you've got the wrong one so you might as well try each one of these so try this VTX table if that one
[00:12:38] doesn't work try this VTX table I don't think either one of them are going to work but it's worth a shot when they don't work you just need to start digging around
[00:12:49] just go Google crazy looking for Mobula 6 VTX tables and every single one you find dump it on there and try it and eventually you'll find the right one it's sounds like you're
[00:13:05] looking for the Mobula 6 V V1 VTX table you can check Oscar leang is really good about when when he reviews a product he puts they puts the the VTX table in there and so hopefully
[00:13:26] he reviewed the V1 Mobula 6 s what I mean so check his check his post that'll come up on Google he does really well when it comes to SEO so when you start googling Mobula 6 VTX
[00:13:45] table will probably be one of the first hits or not he'll be here somewhere though there you go oh well this is just but I mean what we could do is just search I'm sure there's a way to search his
[00:14:11] website there it is little question oh sorry I'm on the wrong scene little question mark up here Mobula 6 not 2024 not not V3 March 2021 that's probably the sky
[00:14:42] one that's the sky one you'll find it though it's on the internet somewhere what I mean worst case you can message HappyModel Jason will probably get back to
[00:14:57] you and just tell them you you've got a version one I would when when you message him I would go into the CLI and type status and then highlight the Highlight everything that pops up there
[00:15:12] and send that to them with your message give them as much info as you possibly can and hopefully he can just drop the VTX table on you and Away you go so that should
[00:15:26] work rocket says hope you're well thank you dude off axis dropping the cv.com link thank you homie Co power says has anyone made carbon fiber tiny woop props would the strength/ stiffness
[00:15:41] be durable enough to be worth it probably not our current tiny woop props are really really good I would actually not want carbon fiber tiny woop props with with how easy it is to hit
[00:15:54] somebody in the face carbon fiber would cut deep a couple people have already been cut by the the the polycarbonate existing tiny whoop props I would not want to be
[00:16:09] around someone flying carbon fiber props on a tiny whoop that's a little sketchy Cloud Hopper with a $10 Super Chat he says thanks gangly leader thank you dude very
[00:16:21] cool of you generous people like you and everybody else that hangs out of the reason why I can do this so my thanks go out to you beautiful bastards free lojo dropping the C fv.com
[00:16:34] link thank you dude strer says I have some spare 1408 2800 KV given to me by a friend what can I use them for maybe a wing I certainly wouldn't put him on a quad Wing might work for him
[00:16:53] personally I would put them up on Facebook Marketplace and just move them along and use the money to buy something useful because 1408 is a motor size that's going to overheat
[00:17:04] all the time and it's just going to demolish your batteries so personally I I I would somebody will buy them what's up just going the pool cool that's what I would do or I
[00:17:27] the the only thing I would use four on a quad would be like a drag race quad if if you wanted to do like a 3 in or like a 3 and A2 in drag race quad that's about it other than that
[00:17:42] those are going to be kind of a nightmare I've been down that road it's a terrible Road Walter says SE if you been friends did you find a way to Ali Express I've seen a V3
[00:17:57] 2g4 don't know what to think I have not I have not what that that does remind me though there is something on AliExpress that I'm super interested in there's a guy on
[00:18:17] YouTube a great whoop pilot on YouTube I I completely forget his name but he has found this camera and it looks awesome trying to think of how trying to think of how I can find
[00:18:42] him so let me search YouTube for zen chany zen Chan C Zen chansy FPV sure I think this might find him no that's not it you guys have to see how good this camera looks it's kind of
[00:19:12] ridiculous [@$#%] cam [@$#%] [@$#%] how can I find him I'm super annoyed that I didn't I I emailed myself this link but I I should have emailed myself his
[00:19:51] his channel this is useless here new there's like nothing there's like nothing in here that's going to help me find it how the hell can I find this hold on I'll figure this
[00:20:20] out oh it doesn't tell me these people's names so I'm going to be paying a lot more attention to analog cameras because I'm realizing it really does make a huge difference
[00:20:40] for pstl link to what expander expander rather I if I'm going to be chasing the little RC drift cars I want the best possible analog image quality and it as much
[00:21:02] as I used to kind of think like well all analog looks like hell it really doesn't it's does make a difference oh oh oh oh to the cam there you go
[00:21:16] [@$#%] all right hold on watch History Zen chany search watch History I mean if it doesn't no see it's not going to find it oh oh oh oh he tested the the the
[00:21:37] VCI Motors VCI 08 26 [@$#%] just VCI I'll just search for VCI I think this is it butterfly FPV I think this is it this is God I'm a [@$#%] genius butterfly FPV
[00:22:03] yo subscribe to this channel stop stop stop stop look how good this camera looks oh I can't play too much of this I I don't I don't want him to copyright donkey me no that's not what I want
[00:22:29] to do stop stop stop stop stop stop stop stop stop here's the link There's the link look how good that camera looks great Channel great pilot
[00:22:44] racer but a great pilot that's done some really really really good testing and so subscribe to this channel for sure really really good stuff
[00:23:00] he turned me on to this camera and so I got to I got to snag one I haven't I I've actually never done an order from AliExpress it's just always weirded me out so I got to oh
[00:23:20] really oh wow for $2 you thieving [@$#%] damn Dam that's cold right there I mean I guess it's kind of inevitable but that is cold blooded $2 whatever
[00:23:41] so actually let let's here let me let me let me show you let me show you let me show you nice Dr Death is already subbed to his channel let me show you why
[00:23:58] I care more now what made me realize how what made me realize who is this guy why do I have to look at him every single time Premiere opens up
[00:24:16] the guy that drills holes in his frames look man we've all drilled holes in in frames at one point or another look at look at how look at the difference between these three
[00:24:27] cameras so this is the Mobula 6 2024 camera all right looks pretty good right kind of heavy but looks pretty good I need to do a I need to do one of these rigs with a
[00:24:50] a RunCam nano4 right so looks really good really good looking camera I I've always been very impressed by new I mean fxt cameras in general are really
[00:25:03] good always have been right so there's that look at this [@$#%] show look at how awful the cadx ant looks the colors are just disgusting but then like look how bad it looks it's like Blurry the the
[00:25:23] light to dark transitions are [@$#%] I'm done with with the cadx amp man this is like I didn't realize it was this bad it I think it's really just an outdoor only camera what's interesting though is
[00:25:38] that this was there was a like look at all the light coming in the windows there was plenty of light here but the CX ant just sucks a big bag of donkeys and then this is the Newbie
[00:25:50] drone bi this is how I make sure that I know which camera is which I point the quad at the other ones this is the newbie drone bi super wide angle the the bi is like the wide angle Champion looks
[00:26:05] totally fine I don't think it looks quite as good as the fxt but it's still totally acceptable right like light to dark transitions are nice and
[00:26:23] quick nothing wrong with this camera the only thing wrong with this camera is that it's got the wrong plug on it's got a newbie drone specific plug on it so you're going to have to desolder the
[00:26:37] the thing but I mean that's not that difficult so newbie Dr bi KX ant I mean obviously the ant sucks here newbie drone bi versus fxt ready newb drone bi
[00:26:59] fxt fxt looks better right it's just looks really good I I'm really impressed by how good the the fxt camera looks I mean I guess it's no surprise it's like the newest camera so it would
[00:27:13] make sense that it looks really good but I'm going to be paying much more attention to analog cameras also because Kevin Sumer gave me his one of every analog camera set
[00:27:34] up and so I've got them all to try them all and so we we'll do something fancy at some point but but we can do some some real testing come on get on
[00:27:53] there we can do some real testing with this that cool thing that he did man rad I don't even know what some of these are I'm gonna it's going take me some time to figure out what some of these
[00:28:06] cameras are maybe he has it written down somewhere but shout out to Kevin sner for getting this one of every not really but one of most FPV cameras thing kind of going I just need to
[00:28:23] pick up the torch and run it run KD says what's your favorite cam ever the nano3 the RunCam Nano 3 mainly because it's so light but on Tiny whoops that makes a huge difference all of
[00:28:38] the cameras look pretty similar there's not like one camera that's like so good that I'm willing to take the extra like almost a full gram weight penalty for it over the RunCam Nano 3 so and
[00:28:53] and the the Nano 3 fits in the the extremely durable Mobula 6 canopy so there's a couple different reasons so there's that what else is happening let me get caught up
[00:29:16] on chat where's the oh here it is here it is here it is God I got scared for a second there I thought I didn't save this Premiere project that I put a ton of time into
[00:29:28] and I just quit out of to show you guys that that thing there Mr Dr Death says hope you're doing fine I am Jay-Z says I hope you are too man I have an issue with my Mobula 624
[00:29:55] VTX so I added a foxier Reaper Nano if you remove the VTX solder jumper it cuts out elrs but to add OSD you need to remove jumper than resider I didn't think that it was
[00:30:10] possible to do it on the Mobula 6 2024 so it's good to hear that it is possible I I don't I don't totally follow what you're saying there but it sounds like it is possible to shut off the the VTX on
[00:30:25] the Mobula 6 2024 which is great I had read somewhere that so similar to what you're saying that if you remove if if you the that the VTX and elrs are on the same like Trace basically and
[00:30:43] so if you turn one off it turns both off so I was like okay basically what that means to me is that you can't remove the you can't power down the VTX because there's not enough
[00:30:58] I guess you could there's like there are pads for one uart so I guess you could then run an external elrs and then an external VTX as well but then you wouldn't be able to have
[00:31:11] smart audio on the VTX because there's only that One external Ur which basically means to me that you can't do it because I'm not willing to do it at that point that's crazy
[00:31:23] but it sounds like you figured out a way to do it Jay-Z which is awesome was was there a was there a was there somewhere on the internet that you found that somebody
[00:31:36] did it or did you just do it Striker says waiting for race day quads to respond to my email hopefully I can get the quad repace quick to be honest I just want to get back in the
[00:31:46] air danilla says your cough reminds me of Zander cough cough I I got to The Black Lung pops this is the this is Corona virus not going away I did not have this the first time
[00:32:01] but a lot of people that I've talked to have said like like my therapist actually was like man the second time I got it's took me over six months to stop coughing it just like
[00:32:14] it just [@$#%] your lungs up man it's not good but here we are luckily I've only had it twice most people that I talk to have had it like three four five six times I'm like
[00:32:26] wow that's a bit much so I consider myself lucky in that respect Striker says I also found out my motor wires are loose inside of the plugs and one of them has really bad solder joints
[00:32:38] connecting the wires to the motor that's not a super difficult fix the magnified goggles will definitely help I can't do tiny whoop work anymore without magnification so
[00:32:51] if you don't have them yet spend the $10 on a set of nerd goggles from Amazon to do that kind of work if you want to get it done on the first shot and not like just just get them
[00:33:05] trust me is sper oh we got that got that Walter says they are okay what is they bad says I have that I flight prop puller as all others were out of stock it's very poor so so I have better
[00:33:25] one on order well that's good I'm glad that it's that it's sucks I'm not glad that you wasted $2 on it but I mean if you're buying from AliExpress or bang good you're going to
[00:33:38] waste a bunch of money you're going to get some stuff that's worth way more than you paid but inevitably on those two websites you're going to waste some money and wasting $2 is not too bad
[00:33:49] so it could be way worse Walter says I think the FPC cameras come from the same Factory as doorbells they improve with big sales uh doorbells and backup
[00:34:09] car backup cameras I've heard of people getting FPV cameras and the the the parking lines are still enabled on the on the damn thing kind of insane Striker says what
[00:34:31] whoop cam has the highest field of view I like having super high field of view the tiny whoop I forget what it's called pinch Ultra wide maybe but it's it's like a
[00:34:46] meme camera like you're you're not going to it's I mean maybe you will I doubt that you're going to like it though it's just ridiculous FPV gear there we
[00:35:02] go it's so wide that you can see like the inside of the barrel of the of the lens itself it's absurd where the hell is it
[00:35:28] oh my God is it oh my God this is in stock no [@$#%] wow okay well now I know where I'm getting I I need I I need one of these at least one more I don't have any extras at the moment cool I need to
[00:35:47] pull that tab over there I don't think he has it anymore he didn't make many of them he didn't make many of them because was it was just ridiculous damn I
[00:36:11] guess he sold all of them and is not making more so what he what what Jesse had to do he actually had like a little party where him and a couple people did this but they had to take the regular
[00:36:25] pinch camera and then get the the goop that fxt puts on the on the lens to prevent it from un defocusing so they had to remove the goop and then manually put the super
[00:36:43] crazy wide lens on manually focus it and then reop it so it's crazy all pinch cans are what now oh wired fired got it got it got it got it got it I
[00:37:02] think the Newbie drwan bi might be the widest although this says 170 degree which is pretty goddamn wide but I never trust the the field of view measurements because they're almost never right
[00:37:22] so I I would not trust this 170 degree here whatsoever but if you're doing an order from AliExpress I would snag this camera because it looks awesome but I think the Newbie drone bi is is
[00:37:34] the one that's currently being sold that's kind of the widest field of view and it's a great little camera YouTube did the thing hold on Co power says what quad does that 10
[00:37:53] cam Mount go on probably not great for Arrow it's not going to go on a quad it's just going to be like a I actually don't know I I don't oh that's right no no no no so the the reason I
[00:38:07] think I could be wrong but I'll bet you the reason why Kevin G he didn't give up on the project I I I just told him like what's happening with that and he was like you can have it if
[00:38:24] you want I was like totally it took him forever to rewire all of these cameras to have the same plug on him because I think he said and I've known this in my own
[00:38:42] escapades I think he said that every single I think there were only two of these 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 I think there were only two of these cameras that had the same plug on them I I believe that
[00:38:58] pretty much every single one of these had a different plug on them and I bet you where he burned out is having to remove because it's a pain in the ass like they use electric Li they use
[00:39:14] Liquid electric tape on all of these and on some of them you don't have access some of them like they're through holes through holes and then you don't have access to the front like it sucks
[00:39:26] to have to remove the the the video powered ground wires from some of these cameras and so and he had to do it like seven times or six times maybe and so I bet that's SAR he kind
[00:39:43] of burned out although he's a super busy guy so I'll take it and run with it but they are all now on the same plug so basically what will happen is that I will double side tape this
[00:39:58] somewhere and then power up a tiny whoop and just plug it into one I might not even it might not even be a tiny whoop I might just take like a naked aiio and plug it into one let it run
[00:40:14] take a screenshot plug in the next one screenshot bang bang bang bang bang bangang bang Right Down the Line and then I got to do that outside too no I'll well I I guess I can just
[00:40:27] DVR I guess I can just just DVR it into the into the HD zero goggles because that'll be like the best quality DVR recording which will really show which camera is better and then
[00:40:47] I I just do it eight times right and then so that I just bo bo bo bo right down the list so we'll do that one of these days for sure because I'm super interested in it now
[00:41:00] uh because previously I I was really hoping that the WalkSnail Chase rig RC drift C Chase rig would be basically good enough but man the the weight penalty is just too much I I
[00:41:22] just flying them back to back it's just night and day the the the WalkSnail Chase rig it's a cine whoop it's got a little no no it's a cop it's a it's not like a super fat super
[00:41:40] underpowered C whoop it's like my cops where they're lighter than most cops they have a decent amount of power but they're still a cop whereas the analog rigs are full-blown freestyle
[00:41:57] quad so think about chasing full-size drift cars with a cop and then with a 5 in non-ducted rig that that's really the the one to one comparison here and so with the walks
[00:42:13] snail rig like I can get some really cool stuff and it and it's and it's super impressive that we can get 1080 60 that's this big right but flying the analog rigs is is so much
[00:42:27] more fun and it's the the angles that I can get and the it's just it's just wild so there's that Steve Jobs says is throttle limit better than motor limit if the motor in ESC can handle it
[00:42:53] want more throttle resolution but want pin PID controller to use the high KV it's a little bit of a it's a little bit of a sliding scale and you
[00:43:11] can all right so for example if if you're going to do if you're going to do like on a 5 in rig for example right if you're going to do 2400 KV Motors and run them on 6s you
[00:43:27] have to motor limit them you will not the the the pit Loop will have access to too much power what's up little one would you like to explain to me why my phone isn't
[00:43:42] charging oh come on now did you jam something in the bottom of it's not the right plug you might be going back to your old phone little boo no that's on is it where' it Go gave it away
[00:44:03] just so leave it with me I'll figure something out I'm just going to jam stuff down into the thing and hopefully it fixes it that totally makes sense I need something
[00:44:18] plastic to jam down in there though no balls what happened before it before what do you mean like you didn't spike it to the ground or anything did you what do you mean spike it throw it
[00:44:36] oh it fell it fell pretty hard all right well the phone is now broken oh did you have anything backed up what do you mean so it fell super hard oh no there it goes oh you're good
[00:44:52] okay can you leave it plugged in for a while can it charge with yours yep because the other ones are kind of wow your screen protector looks like it fell pretty hard all right leave me alone
[00:45:04] remember like like one time at school like my my like my friend like squeezed my phone and it the screen protector be nicer to your phone they're they're like
[00:45:16] $800 that one was like I don't know two cents it was not two cents they're all $800 take that dog out of here he's a bad boy he calmed right down though listen to him he's just
[00:45:45] going like he's got such a hard life all right get out of here let me do my job doesn't piss God oh boy Steve Jobs great question for for the record Steve and I have
[00:46:04] talked to Mark spatz and Chris russer about this quite a bit because it's actually super interesting right like what's better the PID Loop having a ton of power having
[00:46:20] access to a ton of power or the PID Loop having the game be much higher so that it attacks going off set point earlier right So for anybody that doesn't know the the pit
[00:46:36] gains the actual numbers the higher those numbers go the higher you make those numbers the earlier the error correction the pit Loop tries to correct when the quad goes off set point
[00:46:50] set point is what you're doing with the sticks and so when the wind hits it or when it settles into prop wash it's going off set point it's not doing exactly what you want on the sticks and
[00:47:02] so the PID Loop runs I hope you guys can hear that the dog is over there just going stop keep making him do it I'm holding the mic in that direction I feel you guys can't hear it
[00:47:44] anyway but the dog is being pitiful the answer that I've gotten from them nobody's had a straight answer which makes sense because the only way to get a straight answer would be like
[00:48:03] all the power and then we all buy the highest KV Motors and then the ESC explodes there there is no like there is no direct answer it has to be a mix it has to be a mix
[00:48:17] of the two things but here's the thing 2400 KV Motors on a 5in rig on 6s that's too much I I don't care if you have an8 amp ESC like that's just too much you you don't want the pit Loop to have
[00:48:31] access to that much power that that's that is not the way so really you want to be and the reason why I tell everybody to motor limit is because it's easy and there
[00:48:44] is not much of a difference in performance there's not a noticeable difference in performance motor limiting down and then pushing the pids a little bit versus throttle limiting down and having the
[00:48:59] pids backed off it kind of accomplishes the same thing doing it with motor limiting is much easier on the ESC because you're taking away right the a little bit of the power that the pit
[00:49:16] Loop potentially could have access to which is the other reason that I always recommend that you guys motor limit is that it's going to help your ESC live longer so
[00:49:27] that's kind of the deal with that there's not a straight answer because they're they're accomplishing the same thing right the the PED Loop having access to more power
[00:49:39] is going to be able to spin the motors up faster pushing the pids makes the motors spin up faster right so you're you're accomplishing the exact same thing the the the main thing that I got from
[00:49:55] talking to Mark and Chris about it was that if Franco is in the house oh my God Franco Roberts blast from the past this a roommate of mine back when I was in college what's up dude nice Ango bro I
[00:50:13] used to call this the Anglo fro it has to be a mix of the two you you don't want the pit Loop to have all the power in the world that and then you have to back the pids off that's
[00:50:25] that's not the right answer but if you're in a scenario here here's what I was just getting at if you're in the scenario where you have Motors that are too low of a
[00:50:38] KV that's no good but you don't really have an option there like like if the motors are running out of power trying to deal with the the the the rig going off a set point that's
[00:50:53] obviously bad right but you'll see that and you'll feel that and that's easy because it'll sit into prop wash and then you'll keep pushing the pids up more and more and more well it's this
[00:51:03] way for you guys keep pushing the pids up more and more and more and more and it won't be able to it won't be able to handle it so you want the right amount of power in my opinion you want a little
[00:51:14] bit too much power so that you can then motor limit down but don't don't just make sure you have Motors that are powerful enough don't go crazy spending time trying to get overpowered
[00:51:33] Motors and then throttle limiting down and then dumping having to dump your pids down low that's not the way you want your pids to be at least at like 1.0 if not up a little bit 1.2 1.3
[00:51:51] and so hopefully that answers the question that's a really hard question to answer because there is really not an answer but that's almost everything if not everything that I
[00:52:06] know about that question because I I I had that question for a long time actually and it was driving me crazy because I had actually asked Mark a couple of times and I didn't get like a
[00:52:18] straight answer from him the first time then I asked him again and then I asked Chris and I didn't get a straight answer from Chris and I was like what the hell's going on here and then
[00:52:27] I just had to really think hard about like what they were saying and that's when I kind of started to realize that it's all the same like a more powerful motor versus
[00:52:40] pushing the pids up as long as the lower power motor has enough power right it's a hard question sorry I don't have a clear answer but it's that's a tough question Striker says is he
[00:52:54] just he's just running his racetrack oh my God Teddy oh man he's [@$#%] up my Gates and [@$#%] if you could only have three drones what would you have including all types I would have 655
[00:53:07] mavic mini probably I mean probably the same thing right 65mm Rig 5 in rig C whoop I would not have a magic mavic Walter says AliExpress is okay don't go for the cheapest [@$#%] better than bang good and
[00:53:25] wish Al express bit different TR n you're good Walter you're fine don't worry about it Striker says PS Motors are 0702 what's PS I don't know what that acronym is strier says Gusto you got a tag Gusto
[00:53:49] says will a motor of the same size and KV work as a replacement if the original is unobtainable kind of sort of they're the the the stator size and the KV are the two
[00:54:07] biggest determining factors to how much power motors going to make but they're not the only two things there's also air gap the thickness of the laminations and the Stater the strength of the magnets
[00:54:22] the thickness of the magnets the flux ring and I'm getting a whole bunch so not exactly but if the original motor is unobtainable it's the best you're going to do and the pit Loop is going to
[00:54:37] handle it so you probably won't even notice it a better bet will be so worst case scenario is you put that motor on there and that motor makes less power than the other Motors and in that case
[00:54:51] the pit Loop is going to drag all the other Motors down so what you actually want to do what do you you won't leave because you're desperate for your phone aren't you it's not turning on it's
[00:55:04] there it's not turning on because the battery's dead but it's charging it's here you got to give it some time to charge it'll come back to life I promise get out of here why is there like why
[00:55:16] does it look like the dog has been chewing on it is the dog biting your phone what is that is that a dog tooth Mark that's a air bubble okay good get out of here let me do my job get take
[00:55:27] this dog out of here I can't concentrate with you guys running around get out but I'm not running get out he's running he's there you go take him out of here he's such a bad little
[00:55:39] bastard oh my God he's kicking my stuff now okay Ted okay oh my God your phone will be fine I promise I don't promise it might be broken but it'll at least charge
[00:56:00] thank you what you want to do Gusto is get a motor that's the same size but it's a little bit higher KV and that way hopefully that new motor that you're putting on is slightly
[00:56:16] more powerful and the other Motors are the limiting factor and they drag that one motor down does that make sense so if you've got 702 25,000 on there get a 27,000 get a 702 27,000 do not get a
[00:56:30] different stator size though that's important you don't want have you want to you don't want to have one motor that's heavier than the others so do that you'll be fine pu says
[00:56:41] what recommendations do you have for AIO and camera with BetaFPV 27,000 KV Motors the only aios worth anything are the BetaFPV cross if you want to run an external VTX
[00:57:02] or kind of sort of the Mobula 6 2024 but man we've we've been having a rough time with the Mobula 6 202 24s some of them have been fine but all there there really are no other aios that are worth
[00:57:14] a [@$#%] and then camera is totally personal preference there's reviews of all the cameras here on YouTube look my see which one you like the look of best my personal favorite is the runam Nano 3
[00:57:31] because it's super lightweight and I can put it in my favorite canopy but there's other people that hate this camera camera there's other people that hate this canopy so totally personal
[00:57:39] preference there Gusto says Willam motor we got that Cole pow says extra snowy today he is he is indeed 661 says kind of like what's the difference between pidm
[00:57:57] and motor output limit so pidm adds some additional complexity to the whole thing but in my opinion you should just run pidm at full stank and then it is what it is like the
[00:58:12] the the pidm technically allows the pids to have access to full power although what's interesting is that Brandon's baked beans has told me that he very rarely sees log
[00:58:26] where the PID Loop regardless of the Quad where the PID Loop actually asks for 100% so pids maxing out your PID suum doesn't have nearly as much of an effect he says in a lot of cases it
[00:58:43] doesn't have any effect but it's the kind of thing that I just do for the sake of doing it's I've not noticed since I've started doing it I haven't noticed like esc's catching on
[00:58:55] fire more often so in my opinion just max the PID suum out where it should have been in the first place and then it's just is what it is you're not going to really tune PID some but
[00:59:08] technically that that adds a third right there's the actual pids which are time based there's the the motor limiting which is related to the KV of the motor and the voltage that you're
[00:59:18] running and then there's PID suum as well and there's there's like a perfect mix of those three things in my opinion Max the PID some out to take that [@$#%] out of the equation
[00:59:29] because trying to mix those three things is going to be a goddamn nightmare and then you just mix the two other things and mixing the two other things like I said is just a matter of
[00:59:39] hopefully your motor has enough power where when it sits down into Pro and the the way that you can know is that if it sits if if you can push the pids up enough that when you sit's hard in the
[00:59:52] prop wash it just gives you like one wiggle like one arm drop that's uncommanded and then it catches itself that's a motor and prop combo that has enough power 75mm rigs are actually a
[01:00:09] perfect example of this for the longest time there was not like a motor and prop combo that made enough power on a 75mm rig and you could push your pain slider sorry your Dain slider
[01:00:22] all the way up to 2.0 you could do the the p&i gain slider all the way up to 2.0 and then you'd take that Master multiplier and you'd have it at like 1.2 1.4 1.6 at some point the electrical
[01:00:33] noise is going to get so nuts that you can't push it any farther and the damn thing is still sitting into prop wash it just didn't have we just hadn't figured out the
[01:00:44] right motor KV propeller voltage combo for them nowadays especially with the igal motors on the the 1610 by blades you still do have to push the the pit tune quite a bit to get it to perform
[01:01:01] anywhere near a 65mm rig but if you really do push those sliders hard I'm talking like 1.8 on the d-gain slider if not 2.0 you can get the majority of the prop wash out but the 75mm
[01:01:18] rigs are actually a brilliant now that I think about it they're a brilliant example of this where the the motors and props can't handle how fat these rigs are and we're still on
[01:01:30] 1s right like this is this is where we really start to see the limitation of 1S 65mm rigs 1S is perfect 75 mil rigs 1S is your is is really getting pushed to its limits and then you go to you put
[01:01:46] walks snail on it and it's and it's just not enough 1S is just not enough and so for for what I'm looking for for some people sure it's fine I want my rigs to fly absolutely perfect most
[01:02:02] people don't understand most people have no idea what that is most people like they get a rig in the air it's like wow okay it's cool as long as it's not like the whole [@$#%] time they're like man
[01:02:13] this thing flies like a 5 in but I've flown rigs that fly really good and I don't really want to fly rigs that don't fly damn near perfect and so
[01:02:26] I have high standards if you don't that's fine lucky you you you don't T have to torture yourself with going crazy trying to get these things to fly ridiculously well but
[01:02:42] yeah 661 says pids suum is a time delay limitation motor output limit is an actual throttle command limitation to the ESC that makes sense I'd never read that anywhere but that totally makes sense
[01:03:04] YouTube just did the thing Walter says I'm getting used to the upgrade upgraded aluminum gimbals from AliExpress for radio Master it's almost like different rates and pit
[01:03:17] Loops I've heard really good things about the about the aluminum gimbals and Eva FPV actually had them on one of their videos and I tried them I was like oh that makes the end
[01:03:28] points makes the the the end of the stick travel just like really really sharp but then the two of us agreed that it's not necessarily going to make you fly any
[01:03:38] better because in the middle of the stick travel is where you do all your work and Hall sensor gimbals are like properly lubric lubricated Hall sensor gimbals you're not going to get any
[01:03:51] smoother than that and then other than that it's just Springs and there's really nothing about the the the only radio I've ever flown that has Springs in it that you could maybe argue make a
[01:04:06] difference are Futaba but the Springs are just different I I don't necessarily think that they're better some people like skitso actually used to swear up and down that the springs in the in
[01:04:24] the Futaba Radios would give a more consistent spring rate through the the travel of the of the stick I I don't buy I never bought it I it felt different but I I I I just
[01:04:41] I don't think that's going to make you fly better I I think you're going to adapt in like one second to that but kind of is what it is but those those gimbals are are awesome
[01:04:52] having those rock solid end points is nothing wrong with that Cloud Hopper says I swapped to the VTX table with seven bands and it's fixed awesome where'd you find it which
[01:05:06] which VTX table was the right one was it at that link that I sent you by chance Walter says she wants to go on YouTube let her be Gusto says thanks much you're
[01:05:18] certainly welcome Steve Jobs says I just happened to see it does any of your family F ruins they do not I tried for a little bit and nobody was interested and I'm not going to force
[01:05:28] somebody to so it's okay bad says do the max current pull of the super high KV wee bed and Tiny whoop Motors is a 5 amp ESC enough 5 amp ESC is more than enough I have run
[01:05:48] 102 big ass Motors on big ass 1.6 in propellers on 5 amp sc's and they're completely fine so 5 mpsc is more than enough Kevin James with a $10 Super Chat he says what's that
[01:06:02] sticky blue stuff used to hold your motor when soldering happy Sunday to you and your family thank you so much for the support Kevin hold your motor when soldering hold the motor when
[01:06:15] soldering blue sticky stuff hold the motor when soldering I'm going to is it this C is this it this isn't blue but and it's not sticky but it's so this is Kevin James says hold
[01:06:33] components I think this is what you're talking about right ah cool so you can use blue Tac just the [@$#%] that you put posters on when you're in college but
[01:06:45] if you want to support a super cool dude this is thermally resistive Putty from Mass adhesive. comom somebody type it in Walter said says feces somebody type it in the chat Mass adhesives decom
[01:07:00] it's plural no I'm sorry Mass adhesive I'll do it I'll do it Mass adhesive. there you go this is awesome it's blue Tac can like it melts and it gets all disgusting when it
[01:07:16] gets hot this was specifically like formulated from this guy to try to leave the heat in the component and it just it doesn't get all goopy and horrible and disgusting you can
[01:07:29] actually buy this at a couple of different shops now rdq and a couple other shops have this in stock if you don't want to order directly from his website but really really really
[01:07:38] good stuff this is my favorite way of holding components at the moment it just works and you just like make a big clump of it here and make like a little pocket and then you stick [@$#%]
[01:07:49] into the pocket and then you kind of fold this up over it and it just it just works man it really does somebody was cool enough to send me one of these Omni
[01:08:01] fixos which is a close second this thing is great but they this just takes a little bit of extra time that it's just stick the component in it wrap it around a little bit and go like this there's
[01:08:16] just like another five or 10 seconds of like let me get the angle of this just right and admittedly there are things that that you can do on this that you might not be able to do with that
[01:08:29] but like I don't know like th having this and that you can do anything in the world just having this you can still do anything just having that you could pretty much still do anything
[01:08:42] so I like them both a lot if I could only have one it would be the it would be the thermally resistive putty believe it or not as nice as this is that putty is just it's quick it's
[01:08:59] there it and it's just it's a it's like a total no-brainer really good stuff and a really cool guy that makes it thank you again for the Super Chat brother very cool of you Cloud Hopper says
[01:09:15] yes from the link You Gave Me Rad Walter says no the gimbals are a world of difference I personally didn't think so but I don't know what you're coming from Walter what I can tell you is it wasn't
[01:09:30] much of a difference for me coming from a qx7 on Hall sensor gimbals if if you were coming from something that was not on Hall sensor gimbals for sure it's going to be a big difference and and
[01:09:42] everybody makes their gimbals a little bit differently so but I'm not going to say that everybody needs to run out and buy those CNC gimbals because I didn't I didn't feel that way
[01:09:55] about it don't get me wrong they they they felt awesome but it wasn't like drop everything and buy them awesome bad says oh no we got that ster says is there a way to know what motor size
[01:10:14] would fly similar to a 5 in but smaller no such thing nothing will ever fly like a 5in other than a 5 inch rigs will fly good you can build rigs to fly really good but nothing will
[01:10:26] ever fly like a 5 in no that's not a 5 in in the same way that nothing will fly like a tiny whoop other than a tiny whoop nothing will fly like a 3-in rig other than a 3-in rig it's just
[01:10:39] it's just not possible you can make any size of rig fly really really really good but nothing will ever have the momentum and the mass and the carry of a 5-in rig other than a 5-in
[01:10:53] rig because 600 to 800 gram is going to hurdle through the sky in a way that 600 to 800 gram does it's a physics thing it's not a I don't know how to build a rig thing it's just
[01:11:10] at at at a certain weight it's going to carry more energy and these big ass builds can impart a lot of energy because they make mega mega mega mega mega power like for example is
[01:11:24] there a way to know what motor size would fly like 2207 on 5 in on a 3 and a half in no you just have to test it all that's one of the things that that's one of the reasons why I
[01:11:40] have as much value as I have in the FPV space is that I'm like the one guy that's tested more all upweight motor prop combos than anybody else and so that's kind of why you guys are
[01:11:56] here is that I've done that testing I mean you can get pretty close by calculating the volume of the stator and then just looking at KVs and looking at other
[01:12:14] rigs that are out there but there's so much variability and one 1404 will perform completely differently from another 1404 and the bench tests are
[01:12:28] great and all like we like Chris Rosser and micr motor test Labs have done a bunch of really good bench testing of some of the smaller Motors not many but some but bench testing does not tell
[01:12:42] the whole story at all so you really have to just get them up in the air there's there's stuff like imbal like the bells being out of balance or like the naess of the motors
[01:12:53] that has a mega effect on how they perform and then and then there's the whole durability piece which bench testing will never be able to replicate so it's it's
[01:13:05] tough pu says what VTX would you recommend for running on a BetaFPV crossboard I think most of the ra you're just going to look at Racers look at what Racers run because they all
[01:13:18] do that combo and I believe most Racers are running the TBS Pro 30 2 Nano that's kind of an expensive option but it's good that's all I can really say is that most Racers run that one I've
[01:13:43] heard that there's like a foxier Reaper Nano VTX that's pretty good I haven't tested any of that stuff though I I I hate the idea of running the external VTX so I don't I and I try
[01:13:56] not to talk about stuff that I haven't personally like used and beaten the hell out of so 1B says what would be your ideal YouTube I'm going to light your [@$#%] on
[01:14:14] fire what would be your ideal lightweight 75mm outdoor whoop and don't say jungle JY Basher I want lighter going lighter is going to be too fragile and I have no interest in
[01:14:28] that so if if I can't say Jungle Gym Basher I can't answer your question I've spent 500 hours refining the the jungle gym Basher formula and so that's
[01:14:42] that's what I got man that that's the best that I've been able to build that's my favorite they're there's there's nothing else I can really say bad says you got me hook
[01:14:54] hooked on on Rocket Power Mohawk and I in turn gave a couple of M got a couple of mates hooked up too he's hysterical right he's awful he's an awful human being
[01:15:06] but I can separate comedy from whatever Walther says I use the plastic gimbals very stressed on simulator a lot they were gone a lot of play gotcha gotcha old worn out
[01:15:22] gimbals versus fresh gimbals that's obviously going to be a huge difference there for sure for sure strager says just give me all the answers I don't want to actually put
[01:15:34] effort and money in and buy Motors and frames and find what I you've just described my job so I've been doing that exactly that for over three years now hopefully I'm doing a
[01:15:45] good job Co power says if you want a 3in to fly like a 5 in try scaling your flying site down by 40% right that is the that is the only way that is the only way to get the same experience but
[01:16:01] it's a completely different experience because you have to like really wrap your head around that and fly in completely different locations but what's really impressive
[01:16:12] about 5-in builds is that they can do everything that almost all the way down to Tiny whoops they can do everything that 2 in 2 and 1/2 3 3 and 1/2 4 does which is kind of annoying but the
[01:16:36] problem is they're death machines right and they're super loud and they're just brutal so in terms of like flight Dynamics and flight characteristics 5 in rigs are just so refined
[01:16:50] like so much R&D has gone into the motors the propellers the the voltages that we run the all that stuff that like and this is why most people just fly 5 in cuz it can
[01:17:05] it can do it all it can fly huge it can fly small can't fly in the house right which is where tiny whoops become god but like you can rip a jungle gem with a 5-in rig if you're really
[01:17:19] really good it's really hard to rip a jungle gym with a 3-in rip 3-in rigs are not for that it's 5in mini quads are are mind blowingly impressive and
[01:17:40] they're just magic they really are but they're loud and they're dangerous as hell and that's a big deal and we can get three in RGS to fly somewhere near that dialed in and not
[01:18:00] have to worry about like really hurting someone or yourself Walder says I did some practice with airplanes motor size and propep dimensions you're the best it's F difficult my compliments
[01:18:13] it's tough It's the hardest part hands down the hardest part is is separating out the placebo hands [@$#%] down it is so difficult the the difference that some of this
[01:18:28] stuff makes is so subtle and so it's really really tough but it's super rewarding to figure it out for me at least strier says all jokes thanks you're certainly
[01:18:42] welcome Walter says I see the tiny whoops a good Step Up For Beginners low cost and the 5 in in the beginning I was making keters seeking the Drone that's the other thing too when you
[01:18:51] crash a 5 inch rig you got to walk far Sher says that's why I want some so bad but I'll never afford one it's another con I mean they're not much more expensive than a micro I mean they're
[01:19:03] they're really not any more expensive than like a 3-inch rig they are more expensive than a than a tiny whoop but FPV is a hobby that you stay into for many many many years Striker so
[01:19:14] like saying that you'll never be able to afford one that's silly like you'll certainly be able to afford one you I've been in the FPV for eight years right like however old you are now add eight
[01:19:23] years to that like by that point you'll be probably in a job making good money and you won't even think about it but tiny whoop is is the best place to start and to me if you can only
[01:19:35] have one rig it should be a tiny whoop because you can fly it all the time everywhere no matter what 5 in is wild but there's a whole different world of responsibility that comes with it and
[01:19:50] you get kicked out of places and it's a whole different thing I I'll tell you this now that I'm coming a little bit back into it I don't miss it I really don't I do not miss 5
[01:20:09] inch it's fun don't get me wrong but there is no part of me that that's like man I need to do this more it's like all I have is like I should do this more I I should get out and fly these big
[01:20:31] bastards more because it's good practice and because this is what everybody else flies and I should be more social with the FPV community but in no
[01:20:43] way is it like I I don't miss it at all maybe that's just me but boy I've heard that from a bunch of people that have flown smaller Rigs and especially who have built lightweight
[01:21:01] High KV tiny whoops so take that for what it's worth ster says that's the hope one day have quad Mula S5 split AOS Supernova as the gobs of power fly all the stick bang I want to Zach says
[01:21:18] which should I do with these 103 22,000 KP Motors I wish I hadn't purchased boy do I feel you there Zach I don't know dude I don't know what to do with them myself maybe a small 1S lifter
[01:21:33] to carry a naked RunCam thumb I unfortunately I think that 1003 is too big of a motor for 1S I I I kind of feel it's just it's beyond the limit here's what I'm going to do
[01:21:56] with him though is like some sort of a toothpick or something non prop guarded because the 1.6 in propellers are way too small well okay so here here's two things
[01:22:10] either a 2in tiny whoop 2in tiny whoop propellers like like a like a like a triblade i me try on by blades whatever but an 85mm motor to motor two in tiny whoop is probably the right tiny
[01:22:27] whoop for the 103s cuz 75 certainly is even 75 Pro it's the both of those are too small or 2 and 1 half inch by blades on something open propped toothpick or one of these School
[01:22:45] Bus style toothpick is quads so that that's what I'm going to do with mine at some point but that that's low low priority unfortunately ster says have you ever seen high power
[01:23:01] 300 foot per second plus Nerf I have there's a there's actually a local guy here who was like super into that world and had has like really really gnarly stuff another one of my hes I'm
[01:23:13] really into really cool stuff it is all right I'm caught up on chat let's let's fly first let's fly first because I I keep putting off and that's silly zelia's phone's
[01:23:34] back let it charge though I've got six batteries here we go what do I have to do what do I do now turn this on it's been a while H Curtis lost a 10-inch long range rig oh that sucks
[01:23:51] dude sucks but Man flying long range that [@$#%] is is going to happen I'm just going to use these 0 zeros are all put away it's fine look at
[01:24:17] that all rightthis is a Mobula 6 2024 the direct solder version with M fan 129s propellers the old school Mobula 6 canopy and RunCam nano3 camera and the Newbie drone light AF
[01:24:39] frame that's it oh no oh boy we're in the corner oh [@$#%] oh that's not good please come back thank you come on oh God damn it come on man let me out of here there we
[01:25:14] go oh God all right I need to adjust to this I've been flying heavy stuff this feels outrageous that was a [@$#%] cool my God this feels this just feels so good at this weight Jesus
[01:25:39] Christ hello we're getting some crashes into this Frame we're doing doing our due durability testing diligence take the is down here try to not hit him in the
[01:25:58] face I swear to God I just heard him oh you son of a [@$#%] you come on now all right we're good this thing is this dive Tower is all kinds of [@$#%] up
[01:26:28] ah just touched it just barely when Maggie Endor the kids go in and out of that door they they screw up the dive Tower and then they don't put it
[01:26:43] back and then I forget to do it before the stream ah so close no no no oh my God come on oh boy I'm not having a good day okay that was a hard hit oh what the hell was that even I I
[01:27:07] have absolutely no idea what I just hit this thing sounds different I might have broken the frame on that no we're good we're good we're good we're good man keep surviving
[01:27:25] frame I Absolut this is just this fly is so good at this light ass wait I can't believe these are only 28,000 KV Motors oh [@$#%] wow crash recovery what a gift from God you
[01:27:44] are look at that hang time whoa okay sometimes like I ju I just don't expect it to change direction as as quick as it does there's a difference in the way that this changes
[01:28:07] Direction versus the the heavier more powerful rigs there's just like there's such an immediacy to this because it doesn't need to it doesn't I didn't even see those Gates there they were completely
[01:28:21] invisible it doesn't need to spin the motors up as much because it's lighter it's one of the reasons that Miatas are so magical is that like they're so lightweight that
[01:28:40] that there's just there's that same like immediacy with everything that happens they they don't have to you don't have to wait for the for the fuel pump to push more
[01:28:54] fuel out of the gas tank into the lines into the fuel rail into the fuel injectors to get atomized into the cylinders and then what I mean like there's a whole
[01:29:11] big oh I tried tried to hit her man I deserve that one that is completely deserved your phone's Fine By the way okay but it's not charged it's at like get it Teddy get out of there get
[01:29:27] it for me Teddy man there's never been a more deserved crash and unrecoverable situation than that one buddy you want to eat it you do all
