[00:02:23] hey friends my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti I pushed the button a little too early on that one welcome to Wednesday we are going to do some [@$#%] you were just watching a
[00:02:36] Ultimate Freestyle oh I'm sorry Jungle Gym Basher with the VCI 82.8 27,000 KV motors which are now so beat up that I'm no longer going to be using them anymore the 1 mm motor
[00:02:54] shafts I mean it's just too much to ask of it to bounce off of metal and concrete and whatnot over and over and over again if anybody has these motors or is planning on getting these
[00:03:05] motors the Stater I think one maybe two of these bells have motor shafts that are still relatively straight two of them are pretty bad though the Staters are all fine though so if you
[00:03:20] have these motors or you're going to be buying these VCI Motors I got four perfectly good Staters for you and two acceptable bells for you message me and I'll sell them to you
[00:03:34] cheap tonight we are going to dive back into the Mobula 6 2024 this we've kind of done this before this is is like revising the the Ultimate Freestyle Mobula 6 2024 and
[00:03:55] just going completely off the rails with it all the way up to 40,000 KV motor I plan on motor limiting them down though I am at this point like I I really think that 36 or 40 thou I
[00:04:11] mean right now the Weeble sells these this is sort of the game changer here wee bed sells 0702 HappyModel Bells with 1 and a half millimeter motor shafts and they're
[00:04:32] red you could absolutely do a Christmas themed quad and get the the tiny whoop Firefly green Motors and use these on that green stator at 36,000 KV or while you're ordering these order
[00:04:47] some of the 40,000 KV motors from Weeble and then swap the bells and then you've got red on red because as we all know and as I've said time and time again if you're not going to fly good
[00:05:00] you damn well better look good it'd be cool to have a Christmas quad so that's what we're going to be doing tonight I did two of these already I'm going to try my best
[00:05:13] to show you guys how to do how to swap bells on 0 72s it's not that hard I actually did just figure out another little trick to it also at the moment there are only two 1.2 in propellers
[00:05:30] that have the 1 and 12 mm motor shaft Weeble sells them both there's a geman 128 triblade that I don't really recommend for 72s those are good for 802s but they're a little too heavy for
[00:05:43] 72s and they're also a very low pitch 08 pitch what I recommend is the brand new 1210 1.2 in 10 pitch byblade this pairs incredibly well with the 72s it really pairs well with the high
[00:06:03] KV 72s 40,000 36,000 KV I really really really like these these have been for a long time those were hands down the best tiny woop prop that existed the new HQ ultra light Tri blades
[00:06:24] are really good and the new GemFan 1219 s's are also really really good but for the better part of a year this was like the only game in town this propeller was so much better than
[00:06:37] everything else and it's still really really good I I don't necessarily think that the HQ ultral lights or the GemFan 1219 s's are better than these they're just different mainly in that they're
[00:06:49] Tri blades Tri blades fly very different than bblades these are you're not sacrificing anything with this they're going to perform a little bit differently basically with these by
[00:07:00] blades when you come off the throttle all the way the quad kind of the tiny whoop just sort of sails a little bit more there's there's less propeller all right so you you you throw
[00:07:14] this thing you come off the throttle right the propellers keep spinning and the each one of these blades is stopping the air so it's not going especially if you're cutting
[00:07:25] through the air like this or or or whatever it's going to slow down more in the air whereas with by blades yes this is a bigger quad but just bear with me here
[00:07:37] with by blades there's less to block the air when you're off throttle throwing this thing through the air so with the by blades if you're trying to do all the crazy [@$#%] that you see me do off
[00:07:48] throttle Ciotti flips backwards through Gates hanging from the ceiling or if you're flying it outside and you want to do big Dives and just stuff where you're zero
[00:07:59] throttle the by blades will allow these little lightweight guys to actually travel a little bit more distance through the air which is really really cool admittedly it makes it a little bit
[00:08:10] harder to fly the the tri blades are more grippy this is why all the racers use them and so in that scenario where you're off the throttle it's going to slow down more
[00:08:21] and that's like easier to fly but it's less impressive I don't know it's less fun in a way it tends to be a little bit more accurate but you can't do the massive
[00:08:36] like throws across the room with the with the tri blades that are really really fun super challenging super super super challenging but really really fun and so that's sort of the plan
[00:08:48] hey we can also we're going to do it right now I had a question that I I'm also curious of the answer to which is that are the are the Bells with the 1 and 1 12 mm motor shafts
[00:09:02] heavier of course they're heavier but the propeller is going to have a bigger hole in it and plastic weighs a good amount as well so let's take a look like realistically on a scale at the weight
[00:09:17] difference it's might be small enough that it doesn't really matter but there's there are four of them so these two I've done already so with the 1 and a half millim
[00:09:29] motor shafts these two Motors are coming in at 2.87 gram all right so 2.87 these two I've not done yet and let's see 2.75 that's a very very very small difference let's make the difference get
[00:09:50] even smaller by putting the propellers on here with it ready where are the here they are all right so these two guys are 1 mm motor shafts so let me grab
[00:10:05] two props that have 1 M holes in them is that these is that a 1 millim hole boy it's hard to tell that's a 1 mm hole all right so 2.77 as I talk and my breath hits the
[00:10:23] scale it moves up and down 2.78 I need a second second propeller that looks like a 1 mm hole so with the propellers 3 3.12 3.12 gram with the 1 and half millim motor
[00:10:51] shaft and those propellers there's still difference it makes sense metal is is is heavier is more dense than plastic 3.20 boy is that not a big difference though
[00:11:06] so 3.20 for the 1 and half MIM motor shaft with those props and then come on what's the scale oh there it goes 3.08 3.09 so all four Motors you're going to gain 02 of a gram what
[00:11:29] you're also going to gain is pretty much infinite durability a rig that is light enough that you're able to run 72s on it and still get good performance basically what I'm saying
[00:11:45] here is like sub 20 gram rigs they that weight rig with a 1 and 1 12 mm motor shaft you ain't breaking that motor M shaft we're going to we're going to see where the weak points are where the
[00:12:04] other weak points are now that we have these motors and I and I'm super interested I have a feeling it's going to be the frame I think the frames I I I think like like the the light
[00:12:17] AF frame we might move away from that back to the Cockroach V3 frame for a little bit more durability don't quote me on that but I have a funny feeling that that like my personal Ultimate
[00:12:30] Freestyle tiny whoop frame is going to involve the the V3 rather than the light AF maybe you never know though you never know the the other thing the other thing about the light AF
[00:12:48] frame that I've noticed two things two things that I've noticed with a bunch of my builds now is that the light AF frame is definitely more more wobbly and has a harder time with cranking the tuneup
[00:13:06] it's like there's no way to make a frame this lightweight without it starting to get bendy it's actually unbelievable that it's not worse but the light AF frame is very very
[00:13:18] floppy which means that you can't tune you can't crank the pids up as high you can't take as much filtering out the Cockroach V3 frame which I don't have a proper one of but I
[00:13:31] have it in wow you could I can even feel the difference this is one of the RC drift car chasing rigs it does not have the can the the Mobula 6 canopy on it to kind of put the top on the shoe box
[00:13:44] so to speak but even without that I can feel that this Frame is is resisting that twisting motion better than the than the light AF here's one here's one here's one I mean it's go figure right
[00:14:01] it's signifant I mean you guys can probably see how much it's deflecting there like this is this is wet noodle stuff me it's hard for me to put the same amount of energy into it but I'm
[00:14:16] trying my best there there's a there's a definite difference there so I I hung out with Patrick last night and I flew his garage and I had a toal blast but for some reason my HD zero goggles didn't
[00:14:32] record any of it I don't understand I put the memory card in before the live stream hoping to play some of that flight footage and it's just not there I I don't know I don't know what's going
[00:14:42] on I as impressed as I am with the HD zero goggles they're they're kind of buggy I I I I might need to I might desperately need to update the firmware or something like that
[00:14:57] because they're Buggy Man and every like like one in although sometimes it's really bad in this respect but usually it's just every once in a while I power them on and
[00:15:12] nothing happens like they go to the menu but then they just they get hung up in the menu and so I don't know I don't know I've heard from Bob noxious he had that same problem and
[00:15:28] he worked with hd0 for a while and I think in the end of it they'd said that it was like a firmware thing I'm sorting out some of these propellers here don't mind me I think they'd said that it
[00:15:40] was a it was a firmware thing but then he'd said that he tried the new firmware and it didn't make it better and then he kept going back and forth and then they eventually said like well you need to
[00:15:50] send them in but I don't know what the deal is with that it is absolutely easy to see the difference for the record between the one millimeter propellers and the and
[00:16:02] the the one and a halfs I was wor I I mixed them all together and then I was was a stupid idea what' you do that for it's okay it's totally fine to mix them together you can absolutely
[00:16:17] just pick it up and look through it and it's incredibly obvious did I only I guess I only got the I guess I only have smoke crotch gray in
[00:16:29] 1 mm is that what I'm seeing here on this most recent wee bed order I ordered some of the the smoke crotch one and a half mil one and a half mil props I got
[00:16:44] a I got to stop saying smoke crck gray but I'm not gonna ever ever so there you go here's a couple more 12 10 1 mm they're they're multiplying all right so there we go
[00:17:03] that's all those did is can't is isn't there do I not have any of the 1 mm in red didn't was there not a red 1210 I guess not was there no I guess there wasn't so I don't need
[00:17:26] this many extra ra giveaways are going to have a bunch of these prop I I I feel weird putting these props into the giveaways because like there's such a specific propeller but I don't know maybe
[00:17:43] you'll maybe you'll words go here words that make sense go here fill in fill in your own blanks you dirty bastards 31 mm one and a half that's interesting they used to
[00:18:04] call them 1210 now they call them 31 mm by 2-2 parentheses 1.5 mm but this coming Monday's giveaway we'll have a set of the motors with the 1 and a half millimeter shafts and a bag of the
[00:18:24] of the propor what do you think of that because Weeble sent me a whole bunch of extras on that this most recent order that I placed which was very very very cool of them somebody said somebody said nice
[00:18:43] thumbnail thank you that is me taking five minutes to screw around with the lighting rather than like one minute it's funny man I used to be completely obsessed with I mean Photography in
[00:19:00] general but lighting specifically and I used to mess with it a ton and I had so much fun and then I don't know I I just I I really slowed down with it and now like
[00:19:13] whenever I go back to it I really dig it when when Maggie bought the the TSX wagon I went out and light painted the thing and it was it was like so so so much fun to do that again I like
[00:19:28] like I get I get obsessed with stuff I'm sure like all of you probably can connect with this I get obsessed with stuff and then I do it a lot and then just completely drive it into the dirt
[00:19:43] but what's cool is you drive it into the ground and then you just take a little break from it and then when you come back to it's awesome again but like I don't know it's weird like
[00:19:54] when when you drive it into the ground like there's this part of my brain that's like no you ruined it you jackass and then that part of my brain like fires up when I'm like oh I
[00:20:05] should go do a little bit of light painting no no you blw it you BL it you ruined it for yourself CU you're an idiot and you have no self-control now and this is why every single day an
[00:20:24] alarm goes off on my phone at 2:00 that says careful with shame because shame is a very powerful motivator and if you're brain is wired in a way that you shame yourself
[00:20:39] all the time that shame can become your only motivator and that is rough because you're just trashing on yourself all the time and that's not helpful so careful with shame my friends
[00:20:55] because I'm sure that at least one of you probably many of you do that it's super it's ubiquitous nowadays and social media really drives it right like every
[00:21:10] single every single time you go on social media you see the best part of hundreds if not thousands of people's lives and then that fires that shame train on up and you're like well I'm
[00:21:23] just [@$#%] then aren't I I want to so the motors that are on here right now are the the the the factory HappyModel Motors that come with the Mobula 6224 which are
[00:21:39] 0702 28,000 KV the reason why I'm ripping this all apart and doing this tonight is that two of these motors I've flown a lot of batteries on this thing I've already had to replace one of
[00:21:53] the motor Bells another one of the motor Bells is pretty torqued and so I've decided to just pull it all the way apart I've got a very cool little tiny whoop.com LED 180
[00:22:13] degree BT 2.0 lead here in Red so we're going to really pimp this thing out and it's going to be like all in all the way into cool guy territory quad looks good
[00:22:30] territory I've got six batteries charged we're going to fly them if you haven't flown your six batteries yet today you've got an hour and a half to do it you can just listen to me while
[00:22:41] you're flying do it fly your six batteries every day you'll get real good so I want to take a look at which I want to figure out which Motors are vibrating on this thing I'm going to
[00:22:56] do this test in two different ways and I suggest that you do this as well props on and props off that is it's takes like four extra seconds to do it that way and it's going to tell you if
[00:23:10] there's some propellers that you need to throw away and if you're just in general doing this this is how you do it this is how you tell if your Motors are healthy if your props are healthy
[00:23:25] actually hold on I'm going to hold off on that one second cuz I haven't done any of the things that that I normally do Bob Bruce was first in the chat Frank Nicholas was next wee bed was
[00:23:35] third what's up zotek Cole Powers Troy prog yamur Curtis Hayes witchat is it witch cat or witch hat it is witchat hockey rounds notice MC mucus Islander FPV lster chonan Northern Tier
[00:23:47] LOL the kidson skull 901 or maybe it's s Cole raging leite RAM dco danzel the terrible Curtis Hayes Scotty Scott Uriel Douglas 6 off axis Brandon baked
[00:24:01] beans Adam Weston who else do we have here Kevin J Ram Dano I think I called you already LOL the kits again Denzil the terrible BMF Spade I'll leave it there if you want me
[00:24:21] to read your name get in early and say hi if you want to talk to me all you got to do is type CiottiFPV into your chat comment or you can do a super chat if you want to support the madness that is
[00:24:30] doing FPV as a full-time job the better way to support me though because YouTube takes 30% of the super chats is to head on over to se fpv.one board it'll get you full Discord
[00:24:50] access two Pat two Facebook groups access to the patreon of course it has a whole bunch of tech articles and really good stuff going on and access to a YouTube a private YouTube playlist with
[00:25:04] patreon only live streams sketchy flying I don't want to be public half done edits that I'm asking you guys like does the song Work does the editing flow right all kinds of fun stuff there's
[00:25:14] like 90 some odd things in there Sim racing content of me just farting around in gt7 Andor cetto Corsa all for $3 a month my friends that's 10 cents a day you're into FPV it's not a
[00:25:28] free hobby you've got an extra 10 cents a day so that I can test more stuff and tell you what not to buy and as soon as I tell you not to buy something that you were going to buy you've just saved 20
[00:25:40] 30 40 50 bucks that's like what it cost to join my patreon for a year or two or three help a brother out it makes a huge difference it's the only way that I can keep doing this full-time it would
[00:25:51] mean a ton to me if a couple of people would join tonight do it let's see it let let me see my email light up with a couple people that have been thinking about joining and tonight's
[00:26:01] the night that they decided what he did test something that I didn't buy or he tested something that I did buy and I love it that's got a little bit of value hook a brother up this
[00:26:11] coming Monday if you're on the $3 month tier this coming Monday is a giveaway stream three giveaways are going to be for patrons if you go from $3 a month to $5 a month you could win 50 60 70 $80
[00:26:27] worth of tiny stuff it's going to be a set of the motors that you see me working on no it's not it's going to be a set of the 1 and 12 mm motor shaft Motors that are pre-built which are
[00:26:38] 32,500 KV which for most people is more than enough power I've lost my mind and just make these tiny whoops have crazy amounts of thrust because a I can throttle limit
[00:26:53] them down in BetaFlight very easily with practically no appre like actual negatives also because having that extra power allows me to do stuff that I wouldn't be able
[00:27:06] to do otherwise like really quick throttle blips that give me enough momentum to go from like an inch off the carpet to scraping the ceiling and it allows me to throw these things
[00:27:18] all the way across the room and whatnot it makes them really hard to fly admittedly but it's an incredible Challenge and a lot of people like to watch me go down that road of really
[00:27:27] pushing myself beyond what I'm capable of because we get crazy moments of like a power Loop that goes through both gates from like 15 feet forward and stuff so it's a great
[00:27:41] time to jump up to the $5 month tier that's going to enter you to win tiny whoop and toothpick Parts there's also a $10 month tier if you fly a lot of 3in and cine whoop stuff those are
[00:27:51] going to be the parts that are given away in that tier and there's a $20 a month tier for 5 in Parts if you're if you got a couple extra bucks and you want to send them my way there's a $30
[00:28:02] dollar a day tier that enters you to win all three of those every time you win it's going to be like minimum 4050 $60 worth of stuff those folks that are in that $30 a month tier they're entered to win three
[00:28:17] times as much as as everybody else and they tend to win like those are the people that win more than once and sometimes you get stuff that you've been waiting for like stuff that you
[00:28:27] can't get elsewhere like the gangly fan although the gangly fan is only given away in the Super Chat giveaways but there you go that's how the giveaways work this coming Monday is a giveaway
[00:28:37] live stream there you go Etsy has all kinds of stuff I've put up the ultra short newbie drone cockroach motor screws which a couple people of you have have asked me for
[00:28:53] I've also got the the Newbie drone foam up here the m1.2 X12 screws that you need for doing your double stack H old school hd0 and or WalkSnail builds some Ultra lightweight
[00:29:09] whip antennas there is one more .99 mm drill bit left in stock I I am going to order some more but at the moment there's only one extra of these in stock RC and power 0703 27,000
[00:29:25] HappyModel 08021 19,000 these are the spec motors for oh for God's sakes underground whoop League I I think it's called they I think they changed names though all kinds of stuff going on
[00:29:39] on the Etsy store some full builds that I've like tuned and in some cases upgraded lots and lots and lots of fun stuff over on the Etsy store look two pages worth of stuff good
[00:29:53] Lord and there's some more stuff coming too I took some some pictures of a bunch of full builds that are going to be going up here I just got to write the I just have to write the
[00:30:06] the descriptions and the titles and all that jazz Fiverr if you want to work directly with me take advantage of over eight years of knowledge and we'll spend a half an hour or an hour
[00:30:17] you can just ask me a ton of questions or I can walk you through some stuff I can walk you through flying better building better tuning better I I would have killed to have had someone
[00:30:27] with actual knowledge to help me out when I was early in the hobby so that when when you go on Facebook and Reddit more often than not literally more than 50% of the time the answers
[00:30:39] that you're going to get are dead ass wrong and so that that that can cost you money that can get you hurt it's scary stuff with the bigger quads look for people that have been
[00:30:50] around a long time that actually have been paying attention and have good knowledge and listen to those folks Teespring for some very cool shirts and other random app like this one there you
[00:31:01] go PayPal if you want to support me directly but you don't want to do a super chat because that YouTube will take 30% and then lots of affiliate linksif you're doing an order on the
[00:31:11] internet in 2024 someone whose content you probably watch has a affiliate link for that website change your bookmarks to the affiliate link and or if you just type like AMA for Amazon into your url
[00:31:25] bar remove your current Amazon on suggestion for when you type in ama there's always like either you right click it or there's a little X on the right remove that suggestion that just
[00:31:35] goes to like amazon.com and then come in here and hit my Amazon affiliate link a couple of times in a row and that'll be telling your browser when he types AMA he actually wants to go to the nut
[00:31:48] Grabber and then you don't even have to worry about it you don't have to think about remembering to use affiliate links you can do that with all of these websitesAmazon get FPV pyro J and
[00:31:57] race day newbie drone weeed F BetaFPV fpv cycle a god brain 3D hd0 flywoo emac bang good camera butter and AliExpress those are all the websites I have affiliate links to other people
[00:32:09] have affiliate links to some of these websites as well use their use some ones use someone's affiliate link when you buy things on the internet it supports people that are making cool
[00:32:19] content on YouTube or whatever your favorite platform may be and there's no negative for you whatsoever there's no reason to not do it every single time you order you can still use
[00:32:30] coupon codes you can still get free shipping all the good stuff yamur says hopefully we can see 802 1.5 motor shafts alone thanks to seatt FPV for pushing to let us buy these 1.5mm 072
[00:32:44] replacement bills my pleasure man my pleasure I I I want if zotech if you're still in here was it just me or were there other people asking for these if it's just me oh that's that's
[00:32:57] super nice of you he trusts me someone trusts me notice says nice some I'll shot for this one thank you dude Denzel terrible says good evening I heard you were the last surviv surviving
[00:33:11] subject of the word that I shouldn't say on YouTube because they ding you baby medical trious is this true you'll have to ask Maggie but no it's not true here somebody mentioned they want to see
[00:33:26] the the one and a half millimet Bells motor shaft Bells so I said I've done I've done two of these motors already and so on your right trying to get these lined up perfectly on your
[00:33:44] right is well I mean it's going to be pretty obvious isn't it there you go oh good it's not focusing let me fire up this software that Frank Nicholas actually recommended where the hell is it begins with a c
[00:34:03] doesn't it camo all right so there wow just just launching the software got it to got it to actually Focus let's go where you going little buddy get your little ass back
[00:34:25] there I had you perfectly lined signed up What's your deal all right I know it's out of focus now but I'm going to fix it in a second hold on I put it to manual focus as macro as it'll go all
[00:34:38] right well this guy will not stop rolling away but there you go there's the difference man if you'll notice down below the Bell where my thumbnail is is 1 and 12 mm even on the
[00:34:56] old school bells that are 1 mm up above the Bell we have always had one 1 and2 mm down below the bell and that would explain why tiny whoop Motors never bend the motor shaft down by the Bell
[00:35:15] with pretty much every other motor hold on let me put this back to autofocus with pretty much every other motor when you would bend a motor shaft it would bend down below the bell and then
[00:35:33] what you would see is your Bel you would see your bell doing the wobble and if you follow me on Instagram you might have remembered seeing that hold on where's the wobble where's the
[00:35:53] wobble video look this where's the wobble here it is here it is I'm going to have to turn this down a little bit but so normal Motors will do this see the Bell moving up and down
[00:36:11] that that is a motor shaft that has bent down below the Bell that's very common on 3in 3 and 1 half inch rigs tiny whoop Motors never do this because the 1 and half mm motor shaft down below the
[00:36:27] Bell is is strong enough for the the for the those rigs where we've always bent the tiny whoop motor shafts is up above the Bell where they go from 1 and 12 millim down
[00:36:42] to 1 mm so as far as I'm concerned whoever first did that should be slapped with a dead fish here's the link to that you should watch it because it's just perfect with the
[00:36:56] music and the s wobble is a is a hot Jam so the the new motor the the new motor bells are actually exactly the same the Bell is the same down below the Bell is the same but then above
[00:37:13] the Bell they just didn't grind Material off to take it from 1 mil from 1 and a half mil to 1 mil which is like kind of infuriating but whatever it's fine all's well that ends well we've got
[00:37:30] we've got the good Bells now danzel the turbo says good evening I know we got that RAM Dango says what's it way Chop Chop it's late here big smiles how you doing lanky fellows R if
[00:37:41] you're still wondering that ran no you asked that at 10:05 we we took care of that chonan says working on 2S analog rigs how do I tell how many RPMs is too many RPMs when fire comes
[00:37:54] out I mean there's going to be a point where it has too much power where it becomes hard to fly and so that's one way if you're looking at the actual RPM
[00:38:08] numbers I mean it's also depends on what propeller you're running what the all up weight is and stuff but you're probably going to be in like the 50,000 RPM range I don't know
[00:38:21] if I would go north of that I I don't know if I would go up to the 60,000 RPM range I see on on the blv 5 2S newbie drone rig Andor the WalkSnail 2S rig I don't remember which but on one of them I see
[00:38:42] RPMs up in like the 52 53 54,000 range and they're making a lot of power by that point I'll probably go up a little bit from there but I I would think that the 60,000 RPM range is
[00:38:57] going to be where you're really pushing the the the fets hard and also it's going to start making too much power to the point where it becomes difficult to fly at that point you could start playing
[00:39:13] around with throttle Expo like we do with the 1S 65mm crazy RPM rigs but that's on you at that point and again it really it's depends on a lot of different things all
[00:39:32] upweight but the two main ones are all upweight and what propeller you're running the more pitchy the propeller the less RPM that you need BMF Spade FPV says about as good as fir crotch red
[00:39:48] smoke crotch gray and Fir crotch red fir crutch red is more like orange though chonan says don't know where you're getting your drill bits but carbide Depot has some really nice bits
[00:40:02] for like five bucks each and the cap of the tube they come in doubles as a holder that's pretty slick five bucks each is a is a lot I'm getting them off Amazon it's hard to find the
[00:40:14] listings but you have to buy 12 or 24 at a time from Amazon so for you guys it doesn't make a lot of sense but I'm willing to continue a bunch of you have bought them and I'm willing to continue
[00:40:26] buying them and selling them on the Etsy store so that you don't have to buy 12 of the damn things chonan says I cycle through obsessions part of having OCD denel the turble says
[00:40:40] something I'm not going to say on YouTube Tonio also says Ah the internal two-year-old I know it will oh [@$#%] BMF Spade says FLW flew four batteries on the grind grind arino today
[00:40:55] 8 Minute flame time why are the flight times so high on that dude run smaller batteries that's too much do you not get tired that like four or five minutes in do you not like oh
[00:41:09] hold on does that not happen to you I like if I get right around like four to five minutes I'm likeI need a break man I need to just chill for a second I need to land take these goggles off my big
[00:41:24] dumb head just like chill out for a second notice that says apple is going to take 30% of patreon signups through Apple devices after no November 1st that's a super shitty thing that that
[00:41:35] kind of happened it's I don't whatever I I I I don't know cxb FPV just joined as a patron thank you for everything you do for our hobby you are certainly welcome CX do me
[00:41:53] a favor next time you type something cool type CF FPV at the beginning or the end and then it'll light up in Orange and I'll see it and it'll make me smile a little bit more
[00:42:03] thank you dude BMF space says bought some goggles from get FPV with your affiliate link thank you dude very very cool of you you guys have been for the record you guys have been doing
[00:42:13] awesome with using the affiliate links for whatever reason the the the patreon's been going down significantly this year but you've been using you've all been using the
[00:42:27] affiliate links so much more that it's like as this has happened with patreon the affiliate stuff has done this and i' I've ended up kind of like net neutral which is amazing so thank you
[00:42:38] for that it's free money Frank Nicholas says why post those videos wobble to Instagram Facebook property versus YouTube sometimes I just post stuff to to
[00:42:56] Instagram Instagram is a better I don't know if it's a better but Instagram is more sort of marketing YouTube is more like a resource of information it's much more difficult to get any kind of
[00:43:16] reach on YouTube their algorithm is much meaner in terms of getting yourself in front of new people Instagram tends to do a much better job reaching new folks and
[00:43:33] then I have it linked and hopefully they'll find their way over to YouTube so short short stuff I I'll almost always put up on Instagram you have to use them both
[00:43:46] really I mean I I I what I really should be doing is also using Tik Tok and like [@$#%] but I just I can't I I can do twoo I can do Instagram and YouTube but that's kind of it without
[00:43:59] Instagram the the growth pretty much flatlines also Instagram is the place that I get all of my flying gigs from I've not had a single flying gig in over three years that found me on
[00:44:15] YouTube or I don't even know if any of them knew that I like had any idea that I was on YouTube it's just not it's not a good marketing platform it's a good platform for
[00:44:30] YouTube University though that's for damn sure you can learn anything on Earth basically on YouTube it's pretty rad BMF Spade FPV says my snowblowers hit 60,000 RPM
[00:44:44] Jesus I'm assuming that's on 2S I don't think they'll do that on 1 s is that props on or props off dronen says X12 VTX reading false in BetaFlight what was the trick for that bug
[00:45:02] you have to be putting power to it you have to plug an actual battery in it won't fire it up from USB I don't think that should be it that that that's the only thing cuz you're not the
[00:45:18] X12 is spib based so you're not using the on the other thing that could cause that to happen is if you're in the ports tab you have it on VTX [@$#%] but it needs to be VTX smart audio or vice
[00:45:33] versa but I don't think the X12 uses that I think the X12 is SPI so you don't even use that drop down in there I think it's because you're not powering it from an actual battery you just have it
[00:45:45] plugged in via USB you can still make changes in there though like plugging the battery and will just turn it from false to true it doesn't actually accomplish anything so
[00:45:56] if you just need to into the VTX table and change like the low power until first arm from off to on you don't have to power it up with a battery so jonian says X12 Powers VTX
[00:46:09] and even the ESC is off the USB does it really then I don't know then I don't know why it says false we can try it though BetaFlight configurator takes forever to launch so I clicked it now
[00:46:24] I'll take another question or two while it's oh my God it launched immediately thanks for making a liar out of me you son of a [@$#%] usually takes a while you guys have seen it before all right this is an
[00:46:37] X12 this is the rig that Cloud Hopper built and very very kindly sent to me let's see here by the way the stream should be running way better I have moved all of the cameras from 1080 down to 720
[00:46:56] by the way can can you guys see a difference does does this look lower quality than it did yesterday and for the past like year I did a bunch of research after the stream Monday night
[00:47:10] everybody on everybody that has updated their Mac operating system to seoa 15.0 they're all having problems with EOS webcam utility and the the new version of it is way more taxing on the
[00:47:31] on the computer and so it's not just me and it's kind of sucks that I have to go down to 720 but 720 looks really good sometimes I'll put it I'll put it in these terms the the live streams like
[00:47:49] the multi-million dollar live streams that America cycling America Criterium cup National cycling League have put on that I've flown for go out in 720 this is a multi-million
[00:48:03] dollar TV truck this is a like like probably half a million dollars spent on Talent camera operators announcers like everything and they stream that in 720 and it looks phenomenal so I'm
[00:48:19] willing to bet that you guys can't really tell the difference I am I I did smack the camera and it is maybe a little bit's the focus is probably not completely nailed down but when the
[00:48:30] focus is nailed down I just look older I just look old so I'll smear some Vaseline on the lens I'll look much better but do you guys notice the difference the the computer is
[00:48:42] running way better the the processors were cruising along at like total CPU load of like 80 to 90% previously and now they're down at 40 7% 49 51 50 so and all of a sudden all of the
[00:49:03] instability is long gone so X12 is plugged in let's go to video transmitter it says true why does yours say false I don't know why yours says false dude let me go to the ports tab real
[00:49:26] quick quick oh okay all right no it is it is Art based I guess so it needs to be on TBS smart audio you probably have it on IRC [@$#%] or maybe you have it on MSP plus display port you got
[00:49:40] to get it on to TBS smart audio hopefully that fixes the problem I don't know I don't know what else it would be Islander says I noticed you don't look as frustrated so thumbs up
[00:49:54] I don't know what it is but like something that I've spent a ton of time to get working that stops working for no real reason that makes me want to kill everyone and everything in sight and
[00:50:17] that's what's been going on for the last like week or two so by the time these streams have started I'm ju I'm I don't I don't I don't even want to I haven't even wanted to stream
[00:50:30] like I I've been doing it because it's my job and because whatever but like all I've wanted to do is light the entire Earth on fire and I don't hide stuff very well with my face so
[00:50:47] I apologize for that friends that is you guys deserve something fun to watch not an angry white guy screaming and yelling although lots of people ask me for rants
[00:51:01] so it feels like some of you like the screaming and yelling I get it I I like to torture animals not like actual torture but like Teddy doesn't like it when I
[00:51:12] touch his pads my favorite thing to do is touch his pads I like to Revel in his although I think some of that is just like no no I'm I take you to the vet I I keep you alive you'll do what I want
[00:51:31] to do sometimes I think that's a part of it's a it's a control thing maybe who who the hell knows in a minute I'll be caught up on chat and we're going to start working on the
[00:51:47] ultimate Mobula 6 2024 YouTube did the thing R me to the bottom scrolling back up trying to find my place Frank NE says why not both Instagram and YouTube I can barely
[00:52:06] put stuff up on either one to ask me to do both would just a problem that I have is being completely overwhelmed all the time doing this as a living it's is in
[00:52:23] absolutely insane balancing the questions coming in through email Discord Instagram Facebook doing 10 plus hours of live streaming a week dealing with all the stuff
[00:52:38] that breaks repairing it trying to find flying gigs and book flying gigs I'm sure I'm forgetting like 14 other things it is it is so unbelievably overwhelming that it's a miracle
[00:52:56] that that I can continue to do this full stop so to have that and then to try to like every time like there's so much stuff that I would love to do there's so much extra stuff that I would absolutely
[00:53:08] love to do but it's the the name of the game is finding the things that are like the most impactful and prioritizing those and mixed with finding the things that I enjoy so that
[00:53:26] this doesn't turn into a total chore and I just sto doing it altogether and so that's why adding extra stuff to my workload is very very tricky and if I'm going to do it I better
[00:53:43] be able to like Rectify in my brain that it's going to work really well and the the YouTube shorts thing they just the the folks that I've talked to that have tried it who are in the
[00:53:59] world of long form content namely Joshua it's not it's a it's a different crowd I need to focus on a I I've chosen long form content as like the main thing for me and so I need to
[00:54:17] focus on the people that watch long form content not the people that watch shorts here on YouTube on Instagram it's different on Instagram it's I'm approaching it as marketing and with
[00:54:29] marketing you kind of have to do the shorts thing or reels or whatever the hell you want to call them and having stuff that's shorter sprinkling in stuff that's shorter with stuff
[00:54:42] that's like 60 to 90 seconds maxing out the reels seems to work so I don't know BMF Spade says props on exclamation point s on 65 m what's that mean gonan says there are now both SPI
[00:55:00] and seral versions of the X12 oh HappyModel wny do you have to make everything so confusing don't do that change the name tonian says stream is perfect and no I can't tell Frank says YouTube
[00:55:19] always screws up the the equality this doesn't look any oh oh oh the qual the quality this doesn't look any worse than 1080p awesome sign is a bit blurry but that could be my eyes that
[00:55:32] is out of that is a focal length thing I can only go so I only have enough light to go so high on the on the aperture on this camera the higher you go on the aperture the more light you throw your subject me
[00:55:51] being the subject the more depth of field you can achieve so if I had bright enough lights I would be able to close down the sorry well it closes down the iris but you actually open up the
[00:56:04] the f-stop number you raise the f-stop number and that gives you more depth of field and that would bring this into view the one of the a lot of people actually go the other way with it and
[00:56:17] they try to have their field of view field of focus rather as narrow as possible so that your subject is super crisp and that draws the viewer eye to what's in focus and then you don't end
[00:56:30] up looking at the stuff that's out of focus it's a bit I I try to strike a little bit of a balance a lot of people get a little too drastic with that and like right here will be in
[00:56:41] Focus but like the tip of their nose will be out of focus so their their plane of focus is like like this deep which is a bit much because then every time you sit forward like
[00:56:53] this you go way out of focus this out of focus area is also called bokeh b o ke it's photographer like new photographers will tend to go towards the extremes and they'll run like
[00:57:11] f1.2 f1.6 no it's not six it's 1.8 and that gives you just a tiny little area of things that are in focus and then everything else goes Super out of focus and it's like a it's a super
[00:57:25] extreme kind of thing to do once you've been doing photography for a bunch of years you become a lot less heavy-handed with that and you start to run like f5.6 and stuff like that
[00:57:36] where you actually have a half decent field of focus so that's there you go some photography info that you didn't ask for but look we're flying cameras so a little bit of understanding of how f-
[00:57:52] stop Works how Shutter Speed Works how ISO works is actually really really really handy so try not to tune all the way out when when I dive into photography details Islander FPV says I know we got that
[00:58:10] Curtis Hayes says get that new Mac Mini with M4 processor if you want a fairly cheap upgrade I would but my M2 is fast for video en for encoding video this computer is only
[00:58:23] a year and a half H it's coming up on two years old I will not replace this for many many many years it's was yes in the grand scheme of like what computers cost it was cheap but for me
[00:58:35] this this computer was was exp it's an expensive thing and so expensive things I run them till The Bitter End so the new Mac Mini boy is it small though good God it's taller but it it's
[00:58:49] shrunken quite a bit super impressive stuff dronen says got it thank you you're certainly welcome Island ref says I didn't mean it don't worry about it just felt
[00:59:01] solidarity with your struggle no it's true it's absolutely true even if you did me mean it it's super super super true Curtis hay says LOL Etsy store patreon edits
[00:59:16] site M notice says site maintenance C Curtis hay says mailbags giveaways trips those people you live with that need you vet trips it's a lot man Frank Nas says regarding regarding
[00:59:27] YouTube shorts I hate them I certainly was not suggesting them or questioning why I don't like them either the the I I wish that YouTube had stayed in their Lane and not done the shorts
[00:59:40] thing I I was super disappointed when when they introduced that like I get it I get it man like everybody wants the copy off of everybody so that like no matter what
[00:59:51] you like you can get it on any platform but like come on come on it's you like I I I know know your know your audience YouTube but I'm sure that YouTube shorts have been
[01:00:08] incredibly successful for them but I don't know I I sometimes I wish that companies would prioritize like what they are and what they're good at versus just growth
[01:00:23] right this like one of the worst things to me that's come out of capitalism is this concept of if you're not growing you're dying that is just frustrating beyond the bounds of rational thought
[01:00:37] and it's just dead ass wrong there are plenty of businesses that haven't grown in whatever a big period insert big amount of time here that are great and everything is cool and but like
[01:00:54] the the person that runs the business business has to be cool with not making more money more money more money more money more money just this the [@$#%] greed that has come out of capitalism is
[01:01:06] is shocking I guess it's not shocking right it's one of like the one of the cardinal sins but it's very destructive a lot of good things have died because of that and that's super sad
[01:01:22] remember remember how fun I don't remember the name of it Instagram destroyed them when they when they introduced shorts what was the the company that like basically started
[01:01:37] shorts they had the little green app icon for the love of God somebody has already typed it into the chat no nobody's typed it into the chat yet Vine that's it remember Vine
[01:01:51] wouldn't it be cool if if Vine was still around and Instagram had just stayed in their [@$#%] l maybe not I don't know sometimes it's nice to just go to one place and have a
[01:02:00] whole bunch of different stuff whatever but I don't know danilla turbo says stop saying bokeh you sound like an insta influencer the word bokeh like it was super cool for like 10
[01:02:15] minutes and then every douche be douchebag photographer started saying b b b b b and it just oh God it's I usually don't say that word because it's just a stupid word that for it's
[01:02:31] bokeh is a jargon word and there's no reason for it's out of focus blur that's it sure bokeh has less syllables than that but like [@$#%] you stop saying words that are
[01:02:47] cool and use words or two words in a row that more people will understand you feeling cool and then a whole bunch of people not knowing what the [@$#%] you're talking about is stupid stop
[01:03:07] it stop saying trippy spins they're tail in orbits chonan says X12 pro version 1.1 is the one with seral regular x12s are SPI Pro is newer and nobody carries it 661 says remember when
[01:03:35] Instagram videos first came out they were 15 seconds Max I do I do Frank Nas says Vine Instagram Etc I don't need social media I I I've had little short periods where I've taken breaks from social
[01:03:48] media and boy is it nice boy if I didn't absolutely need to use it for my business here I would probably still use it but I would certainly use it a lot less although I don't I I really try to stay
[01:04:03] off of it's just bad like the more time that I spend on social media the more miserable I am it is a [@$#%] onetoone thing and I curate the [@$#%] out of Instagram is the main
[01:04:20] thing that that I actually use and I really curate it hard hard like you you it's like a one strike policy you post some [@$#%] that's like that's shitty or racist or or whatever and it's just like
[01:04:34] nope bye-bye but still even even with like really curating the hell out of it's just the more time I spend on on social media the the more miserable I am I look at people who
[01:04:48] don't need to be on social media for their jobs and I'm like why are you on there like get off of there I mean it's there is some good it's not all bad but like I think it really is like I I I
[01:05:03] think you really have to just do like tiny little bursts like four minutes and if you get to minute five like put it down like after the fourth minute it's all bad from there on from there on
[01:05:15] in denilla terrible says remember when Instagram was actually about photography oh my God I loved Instagram when it was actually about photography when everything was one to one square
[01:05:25] because one: one square is actually a really interesting aspect ratio to work with this what's the new what's the new vertical aspect ratio I don't know whatever the hell the current vertical
[01:05:40] aspect ratio is can go to hell forever it's a nightmare for most photography one one by one square was very fun it was very fun to figure out how to how to use the rule of thirds in
[01:05:54] in square because it's close the the normal aspect ratio was 4x3 so going from 4x3 to 1x1 it's not that bad this is it 9 by 16 I almost said 9 by6 but boy does that no that's
[01:06:12] that's what it is 9 by 16 is is terrible it's just terrible and for some reason taking your phone and going like this with it's just no I myself included I won't do it when
[01:06:28] when I'm watching a video and they put that cool little icon that asks you to turn your phone sideways I scroll past it I'm completely unwilling to do this with my phone it is the most insane
[01:06:41] thing ever but if I of all people am unwilling to do that then everybody else is also going to be unwilling to do it so I i' never post stuff sideways and ask for people to turn the phone
[01:06:55] side GRE says all the bits fall out if you turn your phone sideways all the ones and zeros come pouring out of it Denzel the turle says it's Circles of confusion not bokeh it is originally
[01:07:11] a factor of the focus aperture and film grain that's interesting notice says but how will I feel Superior there you go LOL the Ken says is 35 amp good enough for five inch absolutely
[01:07:26] I actually don't have any 5in builds that are on esc's north of 35 amp Ryan harell the guy that knows more about esc's than pretty much anyone still last I heard still runs 25 amp
[01:07:40] esc's on his big Power 5 in rigs this like 50 amp 60 amp thing is nonsense 35 amps 35 amps per channel 3 6 9 12 right plus 5555 another 20 140 amps are you ever going to build
[01:08:04] a Powertrain and or find a battery that can dump 140 amps into a 5in rig no even if you even if you can do that that 35 amp rating is the is it RMS I think it's RMS that's a constant rating
[01:08:22] there's a burst rating that with a 30 5 ampc is probably 40 amps or maybe even 45 amps and you're not hanging and the burst rating is like 3 seconds usually two or 3 seconds if you're hanging on
[01:08:38] Full Throttle for more than 3 seconds and you're dumping 160 you have a battery that'll that'll dump 160 plus amps it's not a 5in rig anymore that's a that's a cinter right and so
[01:08:56] any any ESC that's north of 35 amp at or north of 35 amps it'll handle anything you can throw at it until you get up into cin lifters C lifters sure big 7inch like nasty picking up heavy stuff
[01:09:12] with these big [@$#%] Motors gotcha 50 amp 60 amp 65 ampc is all day for those rigs but like anything 5 in anything picking up like a GoPro or something there's no
[01:09:26] need I guess unless you're trying to go like 200 mil an hour then the things change but right like any somewhat standard 5-in freestyle rig 35 amps is is good to go typically on esc's the
[01:09:39] the fets don't blow up from that they they blow up from smashing into the concrete at 80 miles an hour and the [@$#%] that happens there I have heard the argument that having fats that are
[01:09:53] drastically over over specked it helps when you hit [@$#%] really hard and it puts like a back EMF through the system but again I've hit a million things super hard with the
[01:10:07] the freestyle rigs that I've got and never blown up an a an Aon 35 amp ESC so 35 amps is plenty plenty plenty plenty plenty Dill the turbo says the square hearkens back to Hasselblad days oh my
[01:10:25] God medium format stuff the Golden Era of Photography Frank digas says vertical aspect go [@$#%] itself no matter the platform it's just bad man it's just it's just
[01:10:38] wrong it's just wrong like prioritizing the the vertical so that you can see someone's feet wny no no who cares what shoes you're wearing it's just it's just every once in a while it makes
[01:10:53] sense every once in a while but look look this is this is GNA just blow your tits off this is going to blow your guys tits off there's this thing that we used to do with with digital slrs and just
[01:11:06] cameras in general you're you're you're taking your pictures and B every once in a while you would just be like oh and you take one picture like this and then and even that it's only 4x3
[01:11:22] this this 16 by eight or whatever the hell it is it's just it's just nuts it's absolutely insane so there you go in in case in case anybody was wondering like in case
[01:11:38] anybody it's somebody's like first live stream and they're like look at this guy I wonder if he's an old crotchety man or not there's your answer old and
[01:11:50] moldy there's not a single person there's not a single teenager still watching this live stream stream let me spin these motors up I said I was going to do it 45 minutes ago
[01:12:02] we're going to check the health of these propellers and of these motor shafts here's how you do it you plug it into BetaFlight you plug a battery into it if it's a tiny whoop you hold it in
[01:12:12] your hands because you want to feel the vibrations with your little fies you connect you go to the motors's tab you click connect nothing happens you get a little bit upset you click it
[01:12:24] again nothing happens again you quit out of BetaFlight you wonder why the hell you chose this incredibly frustrating hobby rather than like basketb or baseball or something that you
[01:12:35] can actually meet other people that are around you and get in shape and maybe like not die but then eventually BetaFlight relaunches and now you're fine you click the motors
[01:12:48] tab and you click I understand the risks since it's a tiny whoop there aren't really dire risks you take these sliders and you move them up and you're going to bounce them up and down
[01:13:02] between 1,200 and, 1300 or so here's this is the range that the majority of the vibrations happen right in here up here nothing down all the way down not a whole lot it's right in here
[01:13:22] 1,200 to like 1,400 let's let say and so you move it up and down in here and you're just feeling for the vibrations in this case it's running nice and smooth I'm going to shut up and you guys
[01:13:34] can hear it you will also hear not only will you feel it but you will hear which motor is louder ready well these motors are pretty can can anybody all right guess Whi which
[01:13:56] motor I'm interested if you guys could actually hear it could you guys hear which motor is vibrating harder I can certainly feel it with my fingers if these motors are not that bad nope
[01:14:10] nope all right so you guys can't hear it's actually motor 2 motor 2 is vibrating harder I it's very obvious to feel that in your fingers so that's what you're doing moving it between 12
[01:14:21] and 13 if the motor is really bad you will absolutely hear it you can certainly feel it this motor number two is actually what's really frustrating is that's the motor that I
[01:14:36] replaced the motor Bell on so motor 2 is pretty nasty the rest of these are actually really not that bad I'm kind of shocked that this rig has a problem with vibrations but I will say this even
[01:14:55] though supposedly there were no changes to like the pit calculations or the filtering between BetaFlight 4.3 and BetaFlight 4.5 you guys might remember recently I moved all of these tiny whoops from
[01:15:09] either 4.3 or 4.4 up to 4.5 so that I could use the same elrs module on all of them that's on elrs 3.0 I didn't I didn't realize this until a couple days ago actually
[01:15:25] when I updated a lot of these rigs that's when a lot of these problems started like pretty much all of my tiny whoops are on the Ragged Edge either on or over the Ragged edge of the tunes
[01:15:39] and I'm now having to go back and retune these and I've been talking to Brandon's baked beans a little bit about it and he confirmed that like no there should not be any differences
[01:15:49] but there absolutely are like there are there are like four of these builds that were like locked in on either BetaFlight 4.3 or 4.4 and now that they're on 4.5 they're either unflyable because
[01:16:06] they're over the edge on the tune or they're like at that Razor's Edge where I don't like them to be and I'm still trying to figure that out I I I I I've tried a bunch of things I don't know
[01:16:20] what's going on the the one Mega pain in the ass with these HappyModel aiio is they don't have blackbox and that makes figuring this out way more difficult I'm going to keep going and keep trying
[01:16:33] to figure it out but I'm not loving the way that these things are flying on 4.5 which is super weird because apparently they didn't change anything
[01:16:47] but we'll see I'll keep working at it so the test that we just did is testing the motor shaft and the propeller right the props are still on so maybe the propeller on motor 2 is
[01:17:02] a little bit banged up the rest of these are totally fine though let's pull the props off and we're going to do the second I have to pull the props off of this rig anyway to switch the motors
[01:17:14] and so if you really want to test if your Motors Andor props are healthy this is the second stage of the test where you take the props out of the equation so so we are going to pull these GemFan
[01:17:28] 1219 s's off of here get some of this hair out of there I can't believe I changed the motor Bell on this one motor and the motor Bell that I put on it is almost as shitty as
[01:17:39] the one that I took off of it all right and there we go these are propellers that I have drilled out with the 99 mm drill bit and as you can see super easy to pop them off with the
[01:18:02] this is the Clone popper from Tiny woop.com this is my favorite it's got the the skinniest little Fork here drilling the props out and using a clone popper it's quick it's easy your
[01:18:17] fingers aren't bloody you're not screaming and yelling it's just it's really makes a huge difference if if you're going to spend any time with tiny whoops you really owe it to yourself
[01:18:30] to buy both of those things while you're at it buy a set of nerd goggles those are as you're going to see in a little bit when I'm swapping these c clips out of these things the nerd goggles are
[01:18:43] really important to be able to see what you're doing props are now off now is when we really get to see how healthy the motors are same deal come in here plug a battery in you can also do this in
[01:19:00] Turtle mode you just have to be very gentle on the stick to try to get it into that 1100 to the 1200 to 1400 range where the majority of the vibrations happen understand the risks and one at a
[01:19:14] time here we go that one feels good oh that one's bad you'll be able to hear this ready I can't get very close to the camera but listen carefully I guess you can't hear it boy
[01:19:35] can I feel it though you can really feel it in your fingers motor 3 is fine these motors are all fine motor so Motors three and four are totally clean motor
[01:19:50] one has a little bit of vibrations motor 2 the one that I replace the the Bell on is a nightmare also for the record the the range that you're going to get the vibrations is going to
[01:20:12] depend on the KV of the motor a lower KV motor you'll that range will be a little bit higher a higher KV motor it'll be a little lower don't worry about that hold the rig in your hand hands and move that
[01:20:25] slider up and down you you will very easily be able to feel where in that range the vibrations happen cool that's a shame I I I could have left this thing together but if I'd put a bell on it
[01:20:43] that wasn't screwed up it would have been fine give me one second let me just think about this that what what's been cool about this so this is a version one Mobula 6
[01:20:56] 2024 even though it only has 28,000 KV Motors it's so light that it actually flies really really good I'm tempted to leave this on the the 28,000 KV Motors I have a set of 40,000 KV
[01:21:17] Motors that I cut the connectors off so these have to get soldered onto something I don't have many aios that are set up for direct soldering I've got this
[01:21:28] one and I've got this one this is the only one so I am GNA because because here's the deal when I pull these 28,000 KV direct solder Motors off of here they're never going to go on anything
[01:21:41] again because everything else I have has motor plugs so I feel bad like taking these motors off and never putting them on anything again but they are only 28,000 KV so they're coming off so
[01:21:52] there we go these three motors are completely fine and they're going to come off this one here I might pull this Bell swap it out and we'll see but these three motors are totally healthy this
[01:22:02] one is not so let me get caught up on chat and then we will get over to the bench and start really cranking on this stuff ctis says no worries we're all capitalists that can afford patreon and
[01:22:18] yell get off my lawn at least once for a week as much as I hate capitalism it is certainly benefit benefited all of us but I don't know I mean has it really like without it yes we would certainly
[01:22:29] have less money but would we really be living a less fulfilling life right like most of the people that I have met that are living super fulfilling lives are either broke or just generally don't
[01:22:47] have much money they're living simple lives with lots of human connection lots of like moving their body sometimes dancing sometimes Sports sometimes whatever so I
[01:23:00] don't know it's an easy trap to fall into be like well without capitalism I'd be broke and super unhappy well like broke maybe unhappy I don't know I don't know about
[01:23:10] that like the most wealthy Nations on Earth do not have the highest happiness quotient whatever it's called they they do those tests to see how happy places are
[01:23:25] a lot of times it's this way so I don't know I we would have less quads and of course less quads means less happiness obviously 661 says typical diagnostic
[01:23:39] the newest part is the most likely to fail be faulty right lol the Ken says one more question can you mix a F4 flight controller with a 32bit ESC absolutely I think I only see F4 with
[01:23:50] eight bit nope that you're you're seeing that because the F4 flight controllers are cheaper and the 8bit esc's are cheaper so when somebody buys the cheap flight controller they
[01:24:01] typically also buy the cheap ESC but there's absolutely no reason that you can't mix and match in either direction F7 with 8 bit F4 with 32bit F7 with 32 F4 with it's all the same
[01:24:14] 661 says it's known as the curve of reliability the longer part has been working the more likely it is to continue working right until we start smashing these things into metal obviously but
[01:24:28] that's there is something to be said for that for sure D cabaca says since the runam nan3 is gone what is the lightest camera I can buy the all of these other
[01:24:43] cameras that have the bigger lenses on them are very similar in weight so it's doesn't really matter all that much look look at the camera if it looks heavy it is heavy if it's just like a
[01:24:58] PCB with the lens hanging off the front that's going to be pretty light and there's a bunch of them that are once you look at the camera and you see there's like a housing or there's
[01:25:08] screw mounts that's when the cameras legitimately get heavy but just just look around there's a bunch of cameras that are PCB the big lens hanging off the front they're all basically the same
[01:25:18] weight there's a bunch of them there's the BetaFPV CO3 there's the tiny pinch there's the new fxt camera that comes in the Mobula 6 2024 there's a bunch of them they're all roughly the same weight they
[01:25:32] look slightly different they're all they're all okay you'll it's they're going through analog VTX which are going to make him look like ass anyway so Zoe 101 says the Zen Chi
[01:25:46] pal pinch Clon from AliExpress is the lightest camera I've found so far and the image is way better than the pinch M IMO is that that magical one that we found that comes without any plugs
[01:25:57] hooked up to it that I didn't find it butterfly FPV found it and he has I think that's the one you're talking about I have still not gotten one of those because I typically don't order
[01:26:09] from AliExpress I've actually never ordered from AliExpress early days in the hobby I ordered a ton from bang good but then I stopped no plugs just three wires the butterfly FP found
[01:26:21] yep that's the one that's probably the it's crazy that it's light because it looks amazing the the image quality of that camera is is awesome is it really $13 with free shipping
[01:26:39] oh my god did you spell it right Zoe I if it's really only $13 I guess I need zoo and AliExpress order hold on let me go to their website and just search for it real quick Zen
[01:26:54] chassis Zen nope wait maybe how's it spelled it's not spelled that way Zen let's just do zen zen camera nope FPV might be getting somewhere I'll recognize the little thumbnail
[01:27:27] image where are you Zen camera you bastard you X12 Pro what's it what's an X12 Pro what is that oh for God's sakes X12 Pro what man AliExpress is a nightmare the fact
[01:27:58] that they do this and they let all these different companies have these individual listings this sucks the pr is the one with art elrs ah I'm actually good on x12s right now I
[01:28:11] have two of them but I where's that Zen camera FPV camera tiny whoop what about that is that it Zen chansy that's the one oh they don't have their own name in the in the the title of is that the
[01:28:42] one no that one's too small that one's too small that's not the one maybe it is is that the one on I could just look at butterfly butterfly's video I can't believe they don't have
[01:29:04] their own name in the in the listing boy is that if that's not a sign of the times I don't know what is Zen chansy Zoe 101 sent the link in Discord thank you I'll just check that after the
[01:29:17] after the stream all right Mobula 6 mega donkey quad coming at you coming in hot how is it that this camera like this camera goes crooked between one stream and the next I made it
[01:29:35] worse how is it how is this real life there we go it's because I got it on a big long stick all right here we go okay I'm now going to attempt to show you how
[01:29:56] to switch motor bells on 0703 Motors I've done this once before and it is a godamn nightmare to actually be able to show this to you guys while I'm doing it but I did figure out a
[01:30:15] new little thing all right so you got to remove a c clip and that is is the difficult you got to remove and replace a c clip and that's basically the most difficult part so here's the
[01:30:30] magical trick that I've found you want needle noose pliers like these smooth Jaws sharpish tips these are Lindstrom 78 90s you need to put the Jaws on the open end of the little
[01:31:00] circlip there and then you're going to put the other jaw on the motor shaft and I I I cannot do this without the nerd goggles so first things first put your [@$#%] nerd goggles on so you
[01:31:13] can see what the hell you're doing now what I'm going to do it without the nerd goggles I'm going to try to do it from the OBS window because that's kind of the only way that
[01:31:26] I can do this and keep it in focus at the same time because I'm on manual focus so move it around and it's hard because the Jaws are going to are going to hang up on the on the
[01:31:40] brass washer there I can't do it from the OBS window I got to do it normal so hopefully this is somewhat in Focus now see the problem is I have to turn it upward so that I can see it
[01:31:54] all right there it is did you see that nope you didn't see it how the hell how am I going to hold it well look look look look look that's what you're trying to do you're trying to just get it started
[01:32:06] like that at that point you're going to put your finger on the C clip to try to keep it from flying away and you're just going to give it a little nudge ready put your finger there and then
[01:32:19] give it a little nudge and that'll pop it the rest of the way off unless your finger is in the way that'll either rotate it the rest of the way off or that'll shoot it across the room did you
[01:32:32] see it so you just push it down and now it's free the other way that I just realized before the stream today let me do the other motor is when you're popping it like
[01:32:46] that when you're trying to get it started you then just rotate the the pliers a little bit all right so we get it started here and
[01:32:58] then I'm going to get as low as I can I'm going to get my head as low as I can to see what I'm doing and show you guys what I'm doing ready so actually I'm going to clock it like this because
[01:33:08] after I get it started I'm going to rotate these pliers a little bit all right so one set of the Jaws on the motor shaft the other set just barely on the C
[01:33:18] clip give it a little squeeze no it keeps slipping off come on there it is it just got started and now just twist H see and see how it shot off okay I had a funny feeling that was going to
[01:33:39] be the problem with that method I got lucky and it and it didn't fire across the room don't do that don't do that method that's only the third time that I've done that method and it tried to
[01:33:50] shoot the the Jesus clip across the room so don't do that that if if it did it on the third try it's going to do it more often than not the way that I showed you on the first motor I have
[01:34:05] it's maybe like one in 20 that the C clip will go shooting across the room which are pretty damn good odds so all right now you've got the C clip off but you've still got two little washers
[01:34:19] there you've got a little brass washer and you've got a little Teflon washer and the brass washer is on the bottom because when this thing starts to make Power it pulls up on the motor shaft and
[01:34:31] so it's going to pull up from the brass washer to the Teflon washer and for some reason that's the way HappyModel wants it done so at this point what's kind of cool is you can just pull
[01:34:44] the Bell off and that will take those Clips with it you can also all right so this is the quick way of doing it you just dig your fingernails into the Stater and
[01:34:59] gently wiggle and twist and pull the Bell off sometimes it actually won't go because those washers all right cool so I get I get to show you the other way the the other way sometimes the washers
[01:35:11] will bind up on that Notch that's in there for the C clip and so sometimes what you need to do is take your sharp tipped tweezers and dig them under and you've got to get these little washers off
[01:35:24] like that and if when it pops up rotate it around and put both Jaws under there because you need to pull it straight off this is also a time that you're going to lose these washers
[01:35:39] you got to be so gentle when you're doing this don't put any force on this or when they let go they will disappear once you get a little bit of a gap there what you can also do is come in sideways
[01:35:52] and grab them like this again don't put a lot of force squeeze really hard to keep these Jaws together but don't go pulling on this just be super super super gentle squeeze hard to get a grip
[01:36:06] on it right so it doesn't move but then if you go and bend this up and off it's going to pop right out of these you got to be super gentle with the prying force that you're pulling on these guys
[01:36:19] cool now you've got the bottom set of washers on now now it will separate a lot easier because those washers are not down there to hold it on so now you can get the
[01:36:33] Bell off of the stator you're not out of the woods yet though you got to look at the stator and the bell to see where the next set of washers went yes there's another set of washers this is what the
[01:36:51] the brass bushings look like we now have no washers on this stator there's no washers on the bottom there's no washers on the top sometimes the washers will stick to the top and it'll look
[01:37:04] like that so the top of the Stater will look like there's a brass washer there in this case the two little washers stayed inside the motor Bell there they are down there these 1.5 millimeter
[01:37:24] motor Bells do not come with the washers so we need to dig these guys out of here which is just another quick dive with the with the fine tipped tweezers so get on in
[01:37:39] there and again super gentle these things are just dying to fly across the room and disappear into your carpet forever super gentle just start to dig them out one once you get them towards
[01:37:55] the end this is where you got to be really careful once you get them up here this is where you lose them I've been having really good good luck lately grabbing these like this and then just
[01:38:04] being Ultra Ultra Ultra Gentle with my left hand that's kind of wiggling this back and forth I'm going to come back down and grab it on the tweezers I'm squeezing that's why I'm shaking a
[01:38:16] little bit I'm squeezing really hard and just just keep just be patient did I just lose one I just lost one there you go there's a perfect example I've done this a ton of times and I
[01:38:32] was just a little bit too impatient with it luckily I have extras there it is so we managed to save the Teflon but the the brass washer is has gone to never Neverland and
[01:38:51] that's it that's how you do it let me grab another brass washer from up here all right so now I'm good and now this guy can go away do that one more time so we've got those guys let me see if I can get
[01:39:05] this to separate so it's got the it's got both washers on the bottom still and so let me just see if I dig in here I just try to kind of work them off of there
[01:39:24] no they tend to get bound up on the on the groove that's in the motor shaft for the C clip to sit on no that's I ain't doing it all right so we got to come in here oh there's the
[01:39:38] there's the little brass washer it didn't go very far it went right next to the camera you might be I saw somebody in the chat say just use your fingers some of you guys might have fingernails and
[01:39:54] you can use them I have generalized anxiety disorders and disorder and I eat my fingers so I can't do that but just get in here the the trick is to just be ultra Ultra Ultra
[01:40:10] Gentle with this any amount of force that you put on this could easily have it fly across the room and if it leaves your little workspace you're never going to find it
[01:40:23] again and so just try to be patient it's kind of a mix like sometimes you can get them evenly under here and try to kind of pry it off but when you you have a tendency to start pushing on this and
[01:40:37] prying on this and that's when they're going to explode and go away forever that one popped off but it didn't go very far is what I'm saying man if you want to be super safe do all of this
[01:40:49] in a clear sandwich baggie that is going to prevent them they can pop off all they want but they're going to be stuck in the sandwich baggie I've done it before the problem I have with
[01:41:02] that is it's so hard to work inside of the plastic sandwich bag that like and this is hard these are hard to get these off in general that's another one where the Stater does not have the
[01:41:17] washers with it so this stator is good to go the washers are inside the Bell again usually the washers are inside the Bell so let's go digg in in here real quick it's not like right now there's
[01:41:37] not much of a risk of these flying off because the motor shaft is wow as soon as I said that one of them shot up and flew off usually there's not much of a chance because they're they kind of sit tight
[01:41:52] on the motor Bell usually there's not much of a chance let's see all right it's long enough I can kind of get in there with my fingers whatever you're going to find
[01:42:06] your own way of doing this the other thing that you don't want to happen that actually just did happen maybe this is why I don't do it with my fingers is that I kind of tacoed that that
[01:42:17] Teflon washer this one here this is the one that I just pinched with my fingers and now it's kind of bent up it might not make a difference but I don't love that I don't know you're
[01:42:28] going to figure out your own way of doing it this is this is the way that I've been doing it for a while and it does work but everybody's got a different amount of patience and that's going to play a lot
[01:42:40] into this so now we take our fresh new bells and we want to go Teflon washer first I am not going to use that one that I just bent all up I'm actually going to get rid of it cuz again I have
[01:42:53] lots of extra of these what I like to do is use my finger to pick them up there's very little chance that this will go shooting across the room when it's on your finger so just
[01:43:03] stick it to your finger and then push your finger onto the motor shaft and that's going to get it started and then you can push it down a little bit you got to be super mindful
[01:43:14] that it's going to get hung up on the little Notch for the C clip and then same deal index finger down on the brass washer and it's always Teflon above brass below so the teflons go on first and then the
[01:43:29] brass and you can push them down you don't need to push them any farther than that because you're going to take this Stater and you're going to push this on and that's going to seat both of those
[01:43:38] in there and now you just have to do the bottom so Teflon first that goes on there and then brass washer sometimes they don't want it if they're if they're like wet on the
[01:43:53] bottom they won't want to pick them up but if you drag it across the surface you can usually get them depends on what your mat is this is a silicone mat so it's kind of sticky sort
[01:44:03] of now you got to get these guys seated did those seat all right so they're going to want to hang up on the notch in the motor shaft there so you got to push them
[01:44:18] down those are those are seated enough see how now the C clip will be able to go on let me do the other motor hopefully this happens on the other motor usually it's harder than that to get
[01:44:32] them seated so we've got Teflon push that on super gentle then we've got brass washer push that on all right cool those are in there put that guy on okay so now I lost the it's probably like stuck
[01:45:01] to my hand or something there's a Teflon washer that's gone missing oh well I have an extra one over here all right so on the bottom we've got Teflon
[01:45:16] first all right and this is where I'm just going to show it to you before I put the other one on so when you put these washers on on initially they're going to be sitting up
[01:45:27] they're going to get caught in the little the little slot there right and this is this is when you can these can go shooting off across the room what I find is is a really good way of doing
[01:45:39] this is using two fingernails and you can push it down even this way it doesn't have anywhere to go and that and now you're good if if you just try to use one a lot of times
[01:45:51] it won't drop all the way down but now I lost the Brash washer it's stuck to my finger there it is all right and then the brass one is going to want to do the same thing it's
[01:46:03] going to set up like what I used to do is I would take the the sharp tipped tweezers and I would push them down and I would they would shoot across the room every once in a while when I started
[01:46:13] using my fingernails that stopped happening now is the most difficult part it's getting the C clip back on here's my my preferred process sharp tipped tweezers first of all you got to have
[01:46:26] your nerd goggles on at this point you got to be able to see what the hell you're doing sharp TI tweezers all you're doing with these is getting it started when you drop it hopefully it
[01:46:37] sticks to the motor this is all like you are in danger of losing this C clip the entire time all you want to do is get it on there just get it onto the bottom of the Stater all right now you're going to
[01:46:53] close these guys because when when you're squeezing with these when you're clamping with these you're putting energy into it and that that energy could get could be the reason that it
[01:47:04] shoots so now you're going to close the tips and you're just going to push it around and all you're trying to do is get it started you're not going to put it on with these sharp tipped tweezers
[01:47:16] they're not strong enough you just want to get it started my God is this hard to do through the OBS screen but it's the only way to keep it in focus for you guys there it is
[01:47:29] that's what you're trying to do the C clip has has both of the little ears in the little Groove all right now you're going to rotate that around to where it's facing down and now you're going to
[01:47:45] take your fine tipped needle nose Jibo jabos and now's where you now's where you can really lose this thing you're going to go one jaw on the motor shaft and one jaw on the bottom of the C clip
[01:47:59] you got to make sure that you're dead even I get my finger in here to try to keep it from shooting off forever but there's still a good chance that you're going to lose it but
[01:48:11] there you go and now that's seated all the way on it needs to mimic the roundness of the of the washers if it doesn't click all the way in it'll you won't it won't just be a you
[01:48:26] want it to be round on the bottom that's how the C clip is all the way on there and there you go so do that one more time here's no that one's already done where's the other motor here it is all
[01:48:38] right so this just has these washers let's push down on them to make sure that they're seated all the way down pushing down on both see how it's start it with just one fingernail it starts to
[01:48:50] pop up that's it trying to get out of there get it seated all the way down there you go you might be able to do this with your finger let's see can I just get this on here with my finger now it
[01:49:03] starts to no I really like it with the sharp tips buddies just trying to get it there that went really well it's almost all the way on there and now I can just take him and
[01:49:19] just give it a little nudge ah it helps to use stuff that's not magnetized try to have a set of I try to have a set of everything that's not magnetized it's hard when you're working
[01:49:41] on Motors though they kind of pick up the magnetization pretty easily almost there there we go that's what you want you just want it pushed as far forward forward as you can and then twist the
[01:49:53] motor Bell to get it into position to where it's facing downwards and I'm going to put the nerd goggles on for this one because I almost didn't get that last one because I
[01:50:03] couldn't see what the [@$#%] I was doing and here you go I put the Jaws on the outside of the motor shaft first and then just get it lined up with your nerd goggles you will actually be
[01:50:22] able to see what's going on here you got to make sure these are in the groove just like with vinyl Ah that's what not to do I tried to back it off and that give it the that
[01:50:38] gave it the chance to fire and I heard it bounce off the toolbox and then I didn't hear anything so it is gone we will try again right there we go that one was quick just got it started and
[01:50:56] then get it facing down the other reason I'm having a hard time is because I'm trying to keep this in focus for you all when I do this alone at this point I I have that's the first C clip I've lost
[01:51:09] in a while actually so once you get these two jaws where you want them that's where you can bring your finger in to just kind of block it's might still shoot off but usually you can
[01:51:20] block it that's an example of it not going far enough on it's almost there but it's not quite all the way on you see how it's not round you see how it's an oval right now that is a c clip that
[01:51:34] is not all the way on there that is not going to work there's a gap right here you see that Gap this needs to get pushed further on but basically like you see how you can see some of the Teflon
[01:51:47] there it's not a perfect circle this needs to go farther on there that doesn't happen a lot but it does happen sometimes you got to come back in here and get it the rest of the
[01:52:01] way and I think that is now seated yep you can turn it sideways and you can see it's seated all the way that's how you do it's not easy but it's totally
[01:52:17] doable this is why when you bang up a motor you want to save that motor the it's got perfectly good washers and c clips on it that you're going to want because you are going to lose some stuff
[01:52:33] doing this you are going to lose some of these it is just the way it is let me put this back into autofocus good God it's 11:55 already Jesus I haven't even pulled the rig
[01:52:48] apart truthfully that's the most difficult part the rest this is just soldering small stuff we've talked a ton about that oh man I got to pull all these screws out I was thinking I
[01:53:01] might be able to get this done tonight and fly it that ain't happening Curtis a says we saw it all right and now we get to remove all the motors okay two actually this is motor
[01:53:45] one this is motor 2 this is the one that's all banged up and last one all right so the direct soldered motor nightmare begins it's not that much of a nightmare it is a man is it a pain in the ass
[01:54:19] compared to motor plugs though but man you want the ultimate this is how you do it I don't recommend this for the record un unless you're really unless either you don't crash a
[01:54:35] lot well what with these 1 and a half mimer motor shafts this becomes a lot more realistic because you might never need to change these motors you eventually will need to
[01:54:51] change the motors cuz a motor shaft will slip because you'll get lazy about drilling out a motor and you won't use it and you'll push the propeller on too hard and that'll wreck that laser weld
[01:55:02] between the the motor shaft and the motor Bell so but it'll be way better boy this should be about a million times more reliable the 1 mm motor shafts like I could Bend
[01:55:20] those in a couple of batteries if I was really trying something stupid all right so light AF frame going aside let's actually give this frame a little health check make
[01:55:34] sure that everything is happy everything is cool all right good this the camera is direct soldered so that's going to be a pain but the antenna is on
[01:55:53] a UFL so I can at least pop the antenna off look at that it didn't take the UFL with it that's awesome the I replaced the the elrs antenna on this with a slightly lighter
[01:56:11] weight one that was a waste of time all right this is on tall grommets because the light AF frame because the the USB that they use on the Mobula 6 2024 is ever so slightly
[01:56:27] longer than normal USBS and when you pair that with the light AF frame the the USB port becomes the the lowest point and the battery pushes up against it so this is one of the things
[01:56:40] I don't like about the new mobula aios is that they're using longer USB I don't know what's it called a port connector which is just silly but you can just run
[01:56:57] slightly taller grommets to get around that all right so here we go soldering it's a tiny [@$#%] iio what an absolute Joy okay I'm going to do the the battery lead first
[01:57:24] and so let's get this thing in the Omni fixo oh so this is a battery lead I had on another quad this mobile 6 2024 has the leads in a different spot and so I need to cut these
[01:57:48] guys to be the same length that's not too bad that's just a tiny little bit different there all right so that's no big deal okay strip this oh okay battery lead
[01:58:19] first I hope that's not too short there's 's a chance that's too short all right change of plans I'm going to desolder these motors first because then I can see if this is going to be
[01:58:37] too short so man the soldering iron stinks right now for some reason let's get this Omni fixo cranked up here there we go all right two points of contact is always the way
[01:58:52] to go with the Omni fixo move this canopy out of the way and there we go I'm going to set this into manual focus I'm going to try to adjust the focus as I go this ought to be
[01:59:20] interesting okay so get a little bit of flux paste going here all right and just a little oh that's way too much okay here we go these should just like pop right off these are such small
[01:59:49] solder joints that they should just kind of come right off not quite almost that's what I was kind of expecting I mean we're here I I I might as well swap the motors
[02:00:06] out no no no no no no no it's fine H no we're here let's just do it let's just swap the motors I'm just going to blindly put that power lead on and just assume that
[02:00:27] it's the right length okay so since I put some flux on there there's still a bunch of flux here I don't have to REO it and now what I'm trying to do here is push the
[02:00:44] silicone up against the board that what the hell happened there there we go I find that to be really important to try to get that silicone right up against the board could you
[02:01:02] guys even see what I was doing I think maybe you could see what I was doing the first one I like to do by hand after that I kind of have to do it with the tweezers because my fingers won't fit
[02:01:12] in there anymore so grab it with the tip of the tweezers and again you're trying to push up on this a little bit so that the silicone is hanging off the bottom of the board that is going to make these
[02:01:25] much more durable and it's really important it's also really important though that you don't push the silicone up into the pad into the the little pocket that's going to make it a lot
[02:01:39] less durable and there you go hopefully I got that just right while I can see it better in OBS that's what you want you want that silicone right up there these wires are going to bend and
[02:01:51] if you've got a gap of exposed wire in between the pad and the silicone that's where it's going to want to bend and break if you get the silicone right up against the the aiio it'll
[02:02:03] Bend in the silicone and as you can see with it bending in the silicone it bends a big long area if there is a little bit of exposed wire below there it's just going to bend and crease and let go
[02:02:17] so that's actually really important for for durability sake it is hard to grab this board with the with the Omni fixo although luckily they just use the little pockets and so
[02:02:31] I can grab it like like all right move the work to us we're going to put fleux on here it's way too much for that Center share it there we go and that flux will spread out and then we
[02:02:55] can reuse it when we reattach the the other murders okay here we go just this is another one of the good Motors where I put the other one oh it just fell
[02:03:22] down so these two are good put those over here okay first one I'll try to do it by hand there we go I'm literally can you guys see me pushing up on that I'm pushing up on it to make sure that that
[02:03:48] that silicone is is seating up nicely I don't know if that comes through in the video I'm going to rotate this a little bit because I need to be able to get the tweezers in
[02:04:00] there couple of random points here when I do this stuff I'm putting this part of my palm down on the desk the reason why you don't see me shaking is because I've got a point of contact here on the desk and
[02:04:19] then all I'm having to muscle is is like my fingers up here so when I'm on the tweezers I'm only having to support this little area if I were to lift my hand up like this my whole
[02:04:33] arm my whole arm is having to do the work even up to my shoulder my shoulder muscles are engaged these muscles are engaged these muscles are engaged that's too much muscles don't muscles are not
[02:04:43] steady muscles move a little bit so you got to get this point of contact here you got to get the this part of your this part of your palm down on the table that is super super super important and
[02:04:58] that's where like moving the work really also becomes important because in order to have your hand down flat like this you got to have the work in a good spot you can't move your body around the work
[02:05:10] and and accomplish that so I'm actually going to do that a little bit I need to push this forward a little bit more and that then throws this out of Focus so let me fix this here the other
[02:05:23] camera you'll see it in a second oops no that ain't it there we go all right that is back in Focus let's change the camera all right cool so and there's different versions of
[02:05:39] that you you can put your hand one way or the other way if you see me down the bottom you can even like you can hold the tweezers like like from above like this sometimes this works try it
[02:05:49] different ways different like angles different work will be better with I don't know try to do what's comfortable comfortable means that you're not going to shake a lot it's not just you being lazy it's
[02:06:06] comfortable for a reason you're engaging less muscles basically all right that one was a little ugly let's redo it all right let's start over get it out of there I did not
[02:06:27] have I got to just adjust my hand oh boy for the record this is hard this is hard to do but you can do it you got this it's about the prep don't don't rush it don't just
[02:06:56] like oh I'll fix it once the soldering iron comes in fix it now I'm putting my ring finger on the board itself to give myself another point of stability it's also called in shooting
[02:07:13] it's called bone support there we go that's a good one and then the last one here whatever you have to do everybody's hands are a different size everybody has different gear but those are the basics did you
[02:07:35] see it fall out of the tweezers that's not good that was me not clamping the tweezers hard enough there we go and then just to check it you just look you guys are getting to see the
[02:07:50] perfect angle on it to see if that silicone is up against the board and in this case it is so we good all right next a little bit of flux now the camera's kind of in the way
[02:08:10] let's try to move that out here all right good enough this is getting a little close to those jaws on the Omni fixo so let me just shift it a little bit
[02:08:25] all right popping it off is the easy part two three cool this is the bad one this is the bad motor Bell I'm going to put it all the way over there
[02:08:49] okay I should have done a couple these motors before the stream but oh well this doesn't take that long this first one on the left is going to be really difficult because the the Omni fixo is
[02:09:00] all up in there let me see how much there we go that's just enough that is just enough all right first one by hand maybe it's shit's starting to get in the
[02:09:18] way angle this down a little bit so you guys might be able to see I might not be able to do it though oh this is going to make it harder on me let's see if I can pull
[02:09:28] this off there's that first one that's all right hold on let me just that's kind of good enough maybe I think take a look no that worked all right
[02:09:57] cool all right let's see how this is with the tweezers okay in theory I'll only have to do this once because of the one and a half mil motor shafts
[02:10:28] the big key in my opinion is just to push up on those wires push up on the wires to get that silicone up as close to that board as you possibly can I don't love the angle
[02:10:42] that that third one is in and I try not to like fix the angle on these because it puts stress on the on the joint but I'm willing to put a little bit of pressure there and now that that
[02:10:57] kind of clean that up that's fine that should be okay no I don't like the second one the second one is at a really weird really sharp angle how the hell did that
[02:11:10] happen all right hold on I got to rework the second one you guys aren't going to be able to see it but I just need to fix this real quick once you have them all on there here's a little trick
[02:11:19] here's a really cool little trick actually once you have them all on there what you can do is grab all three if one of them ain't quite right grab all three in the tweezers and just reheat it
[02:11:32] rework it and it will usually come back to where you want it yep there we go and I'm actually going to just touch this third one too there we go
[02:11:49] cool as long as you're quick reworking is not a big deal but you got to kind of be quick with it you can't be sitting around for too long on those pads they don't these AOS are
[02:12:02] very thin you don't want to get them any hotter than you need to okay last set and then we can do the battery lead and away we shall go one two
[02:12:27] three and one two three all right this is another one of the good Motors I'll put that here okay last 40,000 KV 1 and a half mil motor shaft 072 going on
[02:13:00] I think I got that yeah good to go all right as you can see I'm holding the tweezers really weird right now it's just to make the angle right whatever it takes and also
[02:13:17] what's kind of nice about doing this is I can put these fingers down on the desk so not only do I have my palm down but now I've got these fingers down and that'll really prevent you from shaking
[02:13:30] you'll see what I mean if if you aren't already doing the bone support thing once you start to figure it out you'll be amazed at the difference that it makes
[02:13:41] in shaking or not shaking that ain't gonna that ain't going to quite work I don't have the this is fine one of the other things that happens is if the wires aren't pointing
[02:13:57] in the right direction fix it don't try to rotate your hand just take your other finger in there and just bend the wire the wires have that memory to them use it use that to your
[02:14:16] advantage so that one got pushed up too far I hope you guys saw that cuz that was kind of cool and the silicone got into the little pocket and so I had to rework it I don't think you guys saw it
[02:14:29] I mean I want to move this closer but there's a point where I can't get the work done accurately because I don't have enough room between the camera and that let me see if I can pull this off that's kind
[02:14:46] of why I'm having to rotate the tweezers around and my hand all weird see if I can pull this off I'd love to do one of these like Ultra close for you guys all right again this is not
[02:15:01] pointing correctly so let's fix it that was shitty boy it is hard to do with the you see how the silicone is up even with the p CB that's not good you cannot have that cannot have that you see it see
[02:15:27] where that silicone is up there that is a terrible solder joint that will absolutely break we need to fix that there it is I think I think that's better yep you can see it you can see
[02:15:43] that silicone down on the bottom there the nerd goggles are great don't get me wrong when you get your nerd goggles use the highest magnification ones the the thickest lenses in the front but
[02:15:57] these 5x Loops Zoom more than those nerd goggles you have to check your work with these you don't have to but you should this is where you will see all the crimes this is where you will see how
[02:16:12] shitty of a solder you are but that's a good thing cuz this is how you learn those joints are fine F first set is fine as well second set well
[02:16:34] no second set's got a little problem the the silicone is sitting up on the a little bit too close in the one pad can I get this any closer you see it see how that silicone is a little
[02:16:54] too far up on the left the leftmost one we're going to fix that it's probably okay because it's not that bad but while we're here let's fix it let's get it perfect that's the one
[02:17:10] that I did by hand so it's kind of not surprising that it's not quite right all right so let's do this see how it like notched down that that's cuz it was on there wrong see and
[02:17:33] now it's now it's in there right oops Perfect all right we're good that Oh wait [@$#%] I I still have to do the the battery leads man I hope this is I hope this is not not too short
[02:17:51] I'm just going to do it I am just going to blast through this real quick and drop it into the frame and we'll see in a hurry if it's too
[02:18:09] short boy I hope it's not you guys see the difference that the flux just made that is like the magic of flux 101 right there where's that battery lead at here it is so what do we got ground
[02:18:31] on the left oh well that's good I ground on the left voltage on the right I'm not going to show you this guy on the other camera it's just it's just a battery lead it's way
[02:18:47] easier push it in that compared to those 30 gauge oh boy this is like a joke ground is of course absorbing all the heat there we go and I'm doing the same thing I'm
[02:19:04] making sure that the the silicone gets on the bottom the the positive lead here is not tinned because I chopped it a little bit shorter so we are going to take care of that
[02:19:20] all right okay there we go and hold this down a little bit here this wire is hot as [@$#%] but it's worth it feel the burn embrace the pain there we go that looks
[02:19:53] good actually going to rehit the ground just to get it pointed backwards a little bit much better and I'm going to do the same thing with the voltage oh nope silicone moved a little
[02:20:14] too far there we go that's the stuff I always like to angle these angle the the battery leads back a little bit man the these nerd goggles are [@$#%] nerdy there is no way to make that [@$#%]
[02:20:30] look cool LOLOL the kid is and does your says does the little eyeball magnifier work with the webcam kind of sort of I've done that before it's not great but if I lock oh boy that
[02:20:45] looks [@$#%] awful oh it's cuz the I have to actually put it onto autofocus because otherwise it's going to focus on the lens itself that was funny it's called a 5x Loop
[02:21:01] l so if I flip this back into autofocus then the camera just basically thinks that it's another lens and you see like I can get a little bit closer with it but it has a hard time like this
[02:21:18] is barely any closer what I mean and I have the the loop is touching the work so it doesn't like it kind of works but not really boy does it work when it's in your eyeball though when
[02:21:32] you're H holding it up to your eye all right that's everything let's see if the battery lead is too short and if I have to and if I just created a bunch more work for myself
[02:21:52] drop it through drop the motors through okay there we go put these other two rubber grommets back on that I took off one there is two does anybody have a Mobula 6 2024
[02:22:18] that they've been beating the living [@$#%] out of that's just just not that just won't die I've I've flown this one quite a bit and it's been totally
[02:22:33] fine but I've heard from people that they've had them let go pretty quickly a lot of times it's just the camera that goes though the the G string camera mount that the Mobula 6 2024 comes with
[02:22:47] is like the first thing that should be changed in my opinion oh no good this is plenty long this I could have actually cut this lead shorter damn okay that's fine all
[02:23:02] right okay so let's just get that seated real nice like good to go and put these motors up in their little let's get the motor screwed down first I caught these motor leads pretty
[02:23:19] short I don't necessarily know I mean on one hand like [@$#%] it save a little bit of weight but on the other hand if you cut them this short and then you want to use these on a frame that has the motors
[02:23:36] clocked in a different direction or like I don't know you're just taking sort of chances you can always replace the motor wires these HappyModel motors have pcbs on them but that's that's
[02:23:50] such a waste of time so I don't know don't cut him super super super I I didn't cut him like so short that I won't be able to it's pretty short I did cut these pretty
[02:24:01] short different aios will have the motor pads in different locations and that can kind of screw you if you switch to a different if you cut them really short and that aiio has those motor pads
[02:24:14] really close you try to put them onto another AI That's got like the pads spaced out more that might actually be what's going on right here I cut these the perfect length for the air the
[02:24:26] meteor air five and one and then on this Mobula 6 2024 the pads are just in a slightly different position so I would not have cut these this short if if these
[02:24:41] cannot be any shorter these are absolute minimum length but we're cutting the weight down as much as we possibly can actually interested to see what this weighs with these motors on it I should
[02:24:53] have weighed it before there is a live stream somewhere where I've weighed this thing I want to say it was 16.6 gram it was 16.4 with the ultra light whip antenna the same ones that I have on my
[02:25:11] Etsy store but then I put the ort microv on it and it gained 02 of a gram so I'm pretty sure this was 16.6 I'm going to assume that with these thicker motor shafts it's going to
[02:25:29] go up to 16.8 which is fine we're still sub 17 that's pretty cool this is the version one Mobula 6 2024 oh boy these wires are bordering on being too
[02:25:46] short that's okay the aiio will come down a little bit when I tighten the screws up I don't like these wires being this short this is a little worrying we'll be all right
[02:26:02] though maybe catch there it goes there we go that's better all right Motors are bolted down we just got to throw the antenna through the canopy which is always interesting actually the next thing
[02:26:35] you want to do is free Spin these motors by hand the light AF frame you need to open for for HappyModel Motors you need to open up the holes let me show you so I use a drill bit I want to
[02:26:49] say it's 9 64s but do not quote me on that you just want to open these holes up a little tiny bit you'll see the little bit of extra plastic see how I've I've drilled that Center hole out happy
[02:27:02] model uses slightly bigger c clips than everybody else so you need to very lightly drill these come on man just it's there's so much contrast on that there is no reason for you not to
[02:27:18] focus on that see on the bottom there there's a chunk of plastic that's from from me drilling it out you can really see it on this one you see that you can just tell that I drilled it out so what
[02:27:33] you want to do at this point is just spin these motors by hand to make sure that they're not binding up they should spin super free this one's binding up H maybe
[02:27:47] not I did just change the the bells you'll know it when when you first arm it if the if if a motor doesn't spin it's probably binding up all right so our micro is already
[02:28:00] through here let's get this situated and all right so Els antenna you go there this guy goes here all right so let's snap this down there we go and get this Express lrs antenna I like
[02:28:36] to run it up the front of the canopy I'm just I just try to get it as vertical as possible on this there we go I'll show you with the with the other camera in a minute but
[02:28:51] there we go make sure that's all lined up that's all plugged in and now let's run these guys down in there right there's one let's just get a second one and I can start showing you
[02:29:10] guys some stuff oh this these are not sticking to the screwdriver that's weird either the screwdriver lost this magnetism or these screws are aluminum no surely
[02:29:29] not okay there we go this is how I like on the Mobula 6 2024 I like to run the antenna I'm just trying to get the antenna as vertical as I possibly can that's not totally how I
[02:29:43] want it I it's just a matter of like feeding it upwards as much as as much as possible just to give the VTX antenna is all like loud and proud and up there the only
[02:29:59] problem with putting this antenna like this is it can every once in a while it'll go up in front of the lens so I try to like push it back like back and in that you see that and see now it's
[02:30:14] all up in there and you can also kind of like put a little angle on it here that'll a little Bend in it that'll kind of help that doesn't happen often but there you
[02:30:26] go two more screws always make sure that you're actually screwing these into the plastic just pull up a little bit you can easily screw these in between the rubber
[02:30:45] grommet and the plastic and it'll thread but it won't like actually thread and when you pull up on it it'll just pop right out I think these screws are aluminum or something what the [@$#%] these are
[02:30:58] slightly longer canopy screws I only have like two sets I don't know where I got them from but I save them for my favorite rigs always check for stuff that's kind of getting pinched in between the
[02:31:15] canopy and get these guys tightened down you want the rubber grommets to squish but you don't want them to squish that much here's going to be an example of that see how it's starting to bow out
[02:31:36] down there that's what you want you want it to start to bow out but you don't want it to like completely be a nightmare just till it starts to bow out and then if you're running these taller
[02:31:56] grommets like this what you need to do is look at it front on to make sure that one side is not higher than the other because you will fly terrible if your camera is not dead ass level so just
[02:32:10] like hold it up to your eyeballs and you can sort of hold it so what I what I do is I try to draw a line between the frame and hold on all right
[02:32:27] so this is hard to do so you want to draw a line see that see how the left side is too low see that I'm using the top of the ducts to connect with that that side that left side the the bottom part of
[02:32:44] the canopy and you can see that the left side's too low so now you got to go on the right side you got to do this on all the double stack builds this is really important so now we Crank that right one
[02:32:53] a little bit tighter and then we do it again and let me just take a quick look because it looks like I'm starting to really smush the the right grommet but the left
[02:33:09] grommet doesn't look as smooshed the double stack builds it's really important know the grommets are both kind of smooshed so I'm going to back the left one off a little bit
[02:33:23] and that should take care of it there we go now it's even cool you could also do it by the top of the canopy now it looks like the left side is up a little bit too
[02:33:36] high so we will compromise and just do a little half turn and that's close enough don't go crazy but like you can have this you can have the the one side screwed way down and the other side not
[02:33:48] screwed down and it's if this is level it'll be it's does make a difference but get it close enough and you should be all right Nate ad says the 5x Loop is
[02:33:59] unavailable from BNL should I go with a 10x or 5x from a different brand I think I have a link to a 5x Loop in the in the description but I thought you could just go to Amazon and find it
[02:34:20] l o u p e that's the that's the key there you go I mean these are slightly different but I mean they're they're similar enough look at this 510 holy [@$#%] 15 and 20 oh my
[02:34:37] God this is pretty close the I this little this little part here is what allows you to squint and keep it in your eye which is super nice it's any of these will
[02:34:58] work that's interesting 510 15 and 20 I can't imagine how horrible my soldering would look under a 20x loop there it is that's all put together we got that fancy battery lead
[02:35:12] on it Lord only knows what direction these motors are going to be spinning in but I'm just going to throw the props on ooh let's see how these 1.5 mm 1210 props fit oo that's a little tight
[02:35:28] that's getting a little too tight there okay so the the regular 1 mm shaft 1210 are perfect you do not need to drill them out these ones in my opinion and I'll try another one but
[02:35:43] I think you need to drill these out it's up towards the top that they get a little a little bit tighter there so this is one that I'm just this is actually a reamer here if you can
[02:35:58] find one let's see how that is now it was totally fine until like the top little bit of Engagement then it got really difficult and I and I almost just slammed it yep nope that's perfect
[02:36:13] it's just the top part that starts to get let's try another one let's see here nope it gets it gets a little too tight up towards the top part in my opinion drill them
[02:36:31] out drill them out friends save yourself I can tell because when I run the reamer down them it's just drops [@$#%] come on it just drops onto the Ramer with like no resistance but then it stops they
[02:36:50] they've necked the the the hole in the middle down a little bit towards the top which I I kind of like I kind of dig them doing that but it's a little bit too tight in my opinion
[02:37:01] remember these 1 and a half millim motor shafts are not going to be any stronger in their connection with the motor Bell so don't think that just because the 1 and a half mil
[02:37:13] shaft up above the Bell is there that the motor is going to be any more durable from you smashing the props on it's more durable from bending for sure but it's not any stronger in this
[02:37:27] or this direction right got me this one's actually a little tight I'm not going to do it I was just about to hammer it down but don't don't do it hit it
[02:37:48] again oh this is it this is one that I haven't done yet and the what I like about the the drill bits that I use is that they're not too aggressive I actually would prefer
[02:38:01] having to go back and do it again like this than to have something that is like like if you were to get a 1 mm drill bit you're going to it'll still work but you're going to have to be really
[02:38:14] careful with it this 0.99 and then I don't I don't actually know I think this is 1.48 but the the 1.49 works too you just got to be a little bit more careful and to get a little bit more
[02:38:32] you just kind of like move it around move it in different directions and that'll that gives it as you're spinning it and that just removes that little bit of extra material so let's see how this
[02:38:41] is now I should have actually removed a little bit more but it's on there it's not all the way on it's they might have made the hubs a little bit more narrow that's
[02:39:02] interesting a little bit shorter top to bottom I don't hate that to be honest I'm gonna hit both of these again kind of side loaded a little bit that that'll remove a little bit of
[02:39:17] extra material Nate Adams saysthe one Link in your description is not available thank you dude 661 says actually they're nural so they are stronger that you are correct that they are nural but they are
[02:39:36] knurled in a way that is no stronger in the directions that we ruin them taking the propeller on and off most nuring that you think of is cross-hatching like on
[02:39:49] our standoffs right this is not the way that they are knurled they are only knurled in the up and down direction do I have a broken motor shaft here I can show you
[02:40:01] guys oh that's stupid I've been throwing them away should have kept one of them no I have one didn't I keep one of them damn it no they're they're only knurled
[02:40:15] in this direction so they it only helps in the in the twisting Direction it doesn't help with up and down you will ruin just as many Motors putting propellers on that are not drilled out
[02:40:27] on these 1 and a half millimeter motor shafts as you will on the 1 mil and everything else the HappyModel motors have had knurled shafts now for like the last six months it has not helped at all with
[02:40:43] for me personally with motors slipping on shafts because it happens when it happens when you're taking the propeller on putting the propeller off take putting it on taking it off I
[02:40:56] should say all right that should be enough wo boy you gota these these props are a little tight they're a little tight they ain't going to come off but they they need to be
[02:41:19] drilled I I'm going to go one more time with this one man that's still like I'm still pushing on that more than I want to all right there it is
[02:41:50] that is the ultimate ultimate Mobula 6 2024 I'm so lazy I I I wanted to chop this stream and do a p do the end of it as patreon only but I just didn't want oh no we went up we've we've we are no
[02:42:08] longer sub 17 Gams 17.12 grams damn that's all right what the hell did it what it is I didn't this after I put these taller grommets on the grommets are rubber and rubber is heavy
[02:42:24] yes Islander it's a spline shaft yep it's splined like a like a like an axle in a car yep it's not right they're not they're actually not knurled they're splined they're they
[02:42:40] are splined motor shafts they're not knurled motor shafts I think I think nerling refers to like a some sort of a cross-hatch all right well let's fly it's might be all better it should be S
[02:42:59] I mean fresh fresh motor Bells fresh props it should be I shouldn't need to adjust the pids at all but I do need to get the motors spinning the right direction because they are probably not oh [@$#%] it
[02:43:14] let's see it's quick enough just to throw a battery in it and arm it I I what the motors might spin the right direction because I I wired the motors that came off of it up in the
[02:43:28] exact same way o where it also gained weight is that this battery lead is a little bit too long it also gained a little bit of weight there look at that bright ass little rear LED Jib
[02:43:43] Jab LED tail we got to come up with a name for that so I mean it's basically a brake light come on why is it not bound hold on let's power cycle it oh my God it's not
[02:44:09] bound come on now one 2 3 and bind mode press to send binding request binding let's see if it actually does bind oh so either okay look at
[02:44:46] that so brand new bells and everything first of all the motors are spinning in the right direction it just needed a split second to get some of that lube around or
[02:44:58] whatever what is the white residue on the scale I don't know I don't know just stuff there just stuff on there it's cocaine all right you caught me all right it just needed to
[02:45:18] work the those those washers in a little bit also remember that the the the motors the the Bell and the motor shaft have a little bit of movement in the Stater up and down and when you first
[02:45:30] put them in there they they could be like sitting down and then once you spin it it'll kind of pop up a little bit let's seeoh this is exciting man I don't think there's any motor limiting on this
[02:45:45] right now so this is going to be the full 40,000 K Fe oh boy okay so this has pids on it from 28,000 KV Motors and now I've got 40,000 on it let's fix that that that's a bit
[02:46:06] much instead of fixing the pids I'm going to bring the motor limiting down so it's in here and it is motor output limit let's come all the way down to 80% see if
[02:46:23] that is enough sure is boy it does not what's what's 80% of 40,000 8 86 24 30 32,000 so this is basically 32,000 KV right now it does not not quite feel
[02:46:52] like okay it is but that's not this is not what anybody wants to see nobody wants to see low KV I was I was mainly just curious doing that let's we're going to go
[02:47:10] all the way up and we're going to chill the tune out a little bit let's go back to 100 and now we're going to go into simplified tun wow the tune is not aggressive at all I
[02:47:22] must have already pulled the tune down on I did I did I did I did I did wow okay hold on we're gonna we're gonna actually oh boy I can't handle
[02:47:35] it we are going to adjust the filtering in talking to Brandon hey was thinking maybe I I had too much filtering I was over filtering these watch this watch
[02:47:54] this tiny whoops are weird man I mean all rigs you don't want to have too much filtering but you also don't want to have too little that's not a significant change that I just made
[02:48:05] there why is it on profile two whoa what is this I guess this profile one is what it ships with okay we'll leave it on profile 2 profile 2 is my typical tune look at
[02:48:24] this oh this has a lot of filtering okay so see how much DET term filter filtering there is watch this I'm going to move it up to 1.4 this is going into the red danger
[02:48:37] zone right so you would think that this would make it worse it might make it better one notch 400 Q 150 to 800 let's make sure that this is going high enough bring it all the way up to 900
[02:48:51] Herz all right oh come on don't God damn it why is everything so buggy all the time there it goes okay same battery I mean it won't be a fresh battery but
[02:49:14] whatever [@$#%] [@$#%] wble w w w [@$#%] [@$#%] 17.1 gram 40,000 KV all better ain't that some [@$#%] too much filteringah too much filtering ohI can be ruthless with this thing
[02:49:43] now all right here we go if you don't like watching watching me crash this ain't going to when I fly this rig you ain't going to like it ah ooh40,000 KV and I can be ruthless this is
[02:50:04] cool uhoh get out of there don't don't don't no no no that's unrecoverable over there no no no wo 40,000 KV [@$#%] ah I did not have that lined up I don't know why I went for
[02:50:22] that my God it's been a little it's been a little bit since I flew the 40,000 where's the oh wow okay add some low voltage there all right ignore that runtime we were doing
[02:50:36] things here we go here we go flying a full battery 40,000 KB potentially indestructible rig right here maybe probably not these are older batteries too I got to I can't wait to
[02:50:55] run this on some of the fresh batteries that I've got but these are what I have charged so let's do it oh here we go time to get ruthless why is it zero volts thank
[02:51:11] you oh this feels better this battery feels much better wow okay it's the oh God oh that was a big hit holy how did it get so much elevation oh god oh boyokay I'm glad I did this
[02:51:39] now [@$#%]I can just blip I can blip the throttle as fast as my little fies will go and it's like kind of the perfect what what why what world are we living
[02:51:57] in it must be stuck next to something Teddy why can't you help me oh it's stuck under the wheel o oh boy I forgot how absolutely insane
[02:52:20] wo 40,000 KB Motors are hold on let me fix the the hover Point the the sorry the throttle Expo it is dialed in for 28,000 KV Motors so we are cruising around at roughly 25 let's
[02:52:35] let's try 25 it's always a two-step process profile rate up to go down that that's way too high I'm G to take a guess that 28 is the right amount I don't have a lot of
[02:52:51] [Laughter] throttle this little dog just moies on up 20 25 27 26 27 this is me just looking at the throttle numbers on the right there 27 28 29 25
[02:53:12] 26 but I fly this thing fast so I I might oh man it's is really hard to fly fast and look at that and look at that number ah I might have had it right oh
[02:53:36] God Jesus Christ the yaw is outrageous ah I'm going to leave it at 28 it's feels feels better here than it did a minute ago ah the the tradeoff with the throttle Expo is you got to find a midpoint that
[02:54:04] covers ah that covers when you're flying fast and when you're flying slow the RC drift car chasing rigs are awesome because I'm always going the same speed so I can be really aggressive with the
[02:54:17] throttle Expo which really helps elevation management this is hard to Fly Boy 17 gram with 40,000 KV look how it just stops man that's the most impressive thing to me with these high power rigs
[02:54:40] is how you can just freeze the damn things regardless of like how fast you're going oh I hit myself in the back of the head a hard [@$#%]that hurt
[02:54:59] Jesus antenna is still plugged in all is right with the world we good damn dude that hit me in the back of the neck like a ton of bricks Jesus let me see if I can actually get a little bit more pit
[02:55:11] gain out of it's just it's almost there but just not quite let's just see if I can go one little Notch further but first we good oh the battery's dead oh the battery's very dead sorry battery
[02:55:42] oh God I'm going to put that right on the charger that is that is I ran that way too far down I got to move the war warnings up a little bit on this thing the warnings are not coming on early
[02:55:54] enough all right let's see so this is going to be the main test of that tune fresh battery oh buddy you've got brambles all over you homeboy oh man you've been out in the
[02:56:11] this land now what this is probably a b the the this thinks it's the 2S hold on I got to fix the warnings on this I got to fix the warnings and the the High Vol the low voltage and the
[02:56:26] high voltage warnings on this thing so let's come in here and Battery oh buddy 4.3 that's not high enough why is that so low 4.4 and this is too low we want 3.1 and then we want 3.3 nope actually I
[02:56:48] want 3.4 and 3.2 I'd rather come in too early than too late there we go much better buddy boy you're splooting he's a splooter this dog ah I framed them up properly and the
[02:57:25] tune's fine there's still a little hit there's still a little hit of prop wash see it there you guys might not be able to see it wo and the tune is now on the limit this I cannot push this tune any
[02:57:51] further without without dialing the filters in a little bit better hopefully nothing broke looks like I just knocked him over woo my god oh Teddy you almost
[02:58:10] got beat up okay it is H let me let me see what it's like oh sorry buddy boy there the hazards hanging out with quads he just tried to bite it I heard
[02:58:29] [Laughter] him oh boy this okay I need I need a little bit more throttle Expo than this this is I'm kind of bouncing all over the place because of that so rate up to go down throttle XO oh
[02:58:49] it's only at 20 we're going to move it all the way up to 40 just cuz these motors make so much power that you lose a lot of throttle resolution oh my God that feels
[02:59:04] better can you guys see the difference if you can't are you drunk no no no thank you oh my God what a difference that right there my friends is the magic of throttle
[02:59:23] Expo but we can still go full throttle and get maximum attack woo these motors though wow that was a big one ah get out of there stop it woo
[02:59:53] there we go that's a good low battery warning let's see how far back up it bounces might be a little bit early 2 minutes and 12 I might have that a little too high no it's bouncing back up
[03:00:04] 37 again these are older batteries on Fresh batteries you should get just about three minutes let's keep going fuzzy boy what's what's fuzzing fuzzy fuzz bag what's shaking
[03:00:28] fuzzy whoa all right so that battery is a little too fresh uhoh uhoh uhoh uhoh something ain't right oh no what that was weird sometimes Turtle mode does this I I don't oh man this tune is on the
[03:01:05] edge I wish I could go does anybody happen to know if BetaFlight 4.4 had elrs 3.0 or is it only 4.5 whoa okay what did that just come down and crash into oh these props okay
[03:01:25] so that Tunes a bit too much for a fresh battery back that off a little bit I'm really thinking about backdating this software wise because the these none of these
[03:01:45] rigs fly as good as they did oh man this tune is still on the edge that might be what's hurting the runtime too what's so weird is that like apparently they didn't change anything
[03:02:00] with the pit calculations or the filtering in BetaFlight 4.5 but like like I said earlier at least four rigs maybe more flew significantly better I mean they had no prop wash ever
[03:02:19] and the values were much higher I was like the I was able to just run higher pit values which would explain why they flew better man this extra power is fun that was like 50% throttle I didn't even get
[03:02:46] it close to Full Throttle for that blip I tried to do it again there once once the that's weird Turtle mode is not is acting very weird when with that fresh battery but just
[03:03:02] now it was completely fine wow the the little half throttle blips like what there's another one like when you fly a 5-in rig right like when you fly a 5-in rig you
[03:03:14] almost you almost never need to blip Full Throttle for doing those tight technical moves this is now exactly and that's cool that's a good thing for
[03:03:28] sure Teddy get out of there Teddy don't eat it don't eat tiny whoops buddy they're not delicious space Band spiff says 4.4.3 is elrs 3 ooh all right I'm going to be
[03:03:51] back dating these [@$#%] the I mean the yaw Authority is always insane on these but it is particularly insane with these 40,000 KV Motors W that was cool looking
[03:04:18] ohI am a fan of that ah got clean up the floor W I never thought about doing where else can I do that what's a good oh watch this oh
[03:04:48] W I am okay a new move has arrived 2 minutes and 40 that's a little bit better let's keep going now let's keep smashing through batteries because if you fly six
[03:05:08] batteries a day you'll get awesome man don't need batteries this tune is pissed let me try this actually hold on Le let's let's keep taking filtering away well I mean let let's let's keep raising the
[03:05:34] when when we say taking filtering away I think somebody mentioned this in chat we're not actually reducing the filtering we're just moving the filtering higher in the in the frequency
[03:05:46] band that does remove filtering though it's I don't know it's weird but let's continue to raise the filtering up these are really high KV Motors and they seem to be having a hard
[03:06:05] time up in the higher throttle value so let's go up to 1 point six just kind of looking at the numbers well I guess it is removing filtering because there oh no it moves
[03:06:18] the ma there is a Max cut off and the the max cut off is going up as I do this so it's Shifting the filtering that happens in the higher frequency band is less CPU intensive
[03:06:34] too so that's kind of why I that's probably why we say removing filter reducing filtering rather than Shifting the filtering upwards I don't know it's kind of a six one half a dozen
[03:06:48] in the other situation let's see if that gets this thing a little bit more dialed at some point it'll it'll hurt at some point it'll make the situation worse and without blackbox this is how
[03:07:08] you figure that out you make the change you fly it and you listen and you listen for oscillations wo God I couldn't decide if I wanted to go into the cube or out of
[03:07:27] it Oh I thought it was going to fall right in there all nice like ah chickened out oh my God it's so nice to be able to just give like a super Quick Throttle stab and have it
[03:07:48] can you guys hear that like here let me shut up ready listen oh I didn't give it enough no I give it too much listen ready it's like I'm just blipping I mean you could probably see it in the in the
[03:08:09] throttle readout it's just like 100% zero like instantaneous oh come on now Ted I'm not I'm feel like there you go see that it's just like zero you need to spend zero amount of
[03:08:35] time at 100% throttle man getting that throttle Expo dial in there what a diff wow oh I don't want to crash up here it's awful late ah
[03:09:13] no this is fun to fly boys this hard to fly but ah this is the perfect spot to really show you guys how quick of a throttle stab ready you'll be able to hear it over here H almost made it I I really
[03:09:29] extended it out then hang time is insane if I wanted to really do it I'd start it here that's the right point oh no the run times are are lower with the crazy KV Motors I'm using lots of
[03:09:52] Full Throttle though right like I'm stabbing Full Throttle every couple of seconds I'm not stabbing it very long but it's asking for a lot of the motors but again these are older
[03:10:04] batteries if if next at some point I'll charge up the lava batteries that I have that have only been cycled a couple times these have at least 50 60 Cycles on them maybe more than
[03:10:14] that and so with a with a more fresh battery I think we could get to three minutes although this tune is at the limit this tune being at the limit is not helping
[03:10:38] things look going to Just Bounce dude ah [Laughter] it's so easy I mean it's not easy but it's in terms of too much throttle versus not
[03:11:03] enough it's actually easier cuz it's just stab it and it's just the right amount ohyour boy just caught fire oh [@$#%] I've never done that before it went through it went through the two I'll
[03:11:29] never be able to do that again I just did it again how is that not impossible to do hey oh okay so I think I think why this thing is all of a s this this like wall
[03:11:57] climb to dive thing I think why I'm able to do this all of a sudden is because I can blip the throttle so quickly to get that upward momentum that it gives me extra time to
[03:12:16] let it hang that is [@$#%] cool I a lot ah the [@$#%] hang timethe hang time is outrageous all I'm doing is throwing this around too I'm not like usually I
[03:12:37] have a little bit better of a mix of like doing some of this stuff and this is where the run time will get really good like I can probably just do this for the next minute let's see
[03:12:54] this just doesn't use any battery this is a little bit what this thing did get a little bit heavier 230 not bad that's it friends the ultimate maniacal m 6 2024 I don't this is a lot
[03:13:21] this is really hard to fly if you're going to fly outside though this would be super fun but man the run times are going to get awful short outside so don't expect your batteries to
[03:13:32] last a ton of Cycles if you're going to fly this outside this would rip outside though this would be super super super fun there you go 17.1 grams with a very durable canopy
[03:13:47] lightweight frame if you were to put this into the Cockroach V3 frame you'd be probably 17 and a half grams still gonna absolutely rail Mobula 6 2024 version one
[03:14:00] which is like the new Super X AIO with the direct soldered Motors that saves a little bit of weight but adds a ton of annoyance micro V antenna which is not the lightest certainly not the
[03:14:15] heaviest it's really such a nice combination of durability and lightweight 40,000 KV we bed FPV 0 72s with the motor Bells swapped hopefully at some point they will offer
[03:14:30] those offer those motors with bells that have the one and a half millimeter motor shaft Apache SM the sniper just woke up what's up homie thank you for all the work that
[03:14:41] you continue to do my friend rewind a little bit I just flew this thing it's a riot let me get a little bit bit caught up on chat and then we shall get up out of here Islander FPV
[03:14:52] says they make nerd goggles that hold Jeweler's Loops too if you don't like pirate pinching it in your eye nice Nate Adams says the 5x Loop oh we got that
[03:15:02] Denzel the turble says and we got that six s says so increasing the filter slider raises the frequency of the filtering band not only raises the Min but also raises the maximum
[03:15:16] I I saw that like I just glanced and saw that 6 one also says so moving the slider doesn't really reduce filtering it changes where the filtering is at right my my suspicion is that we say
[03:15:30] that it reduces filtering because it eases the load on the CPU but although back in the day I don't think it moved the maximum I don't think there was always a Max so back in
[03:15:44] previous generations it would reduce filtering cuz it would just the the max was set and then the minimum would go here and that is reducing the filtering so maybe that's I wonder if that's
[03:15:55] what's what's changed between 44 and 45 I'm gonna I'm going to flash some stuff back to 443 to see if it gets any better Denzel the trple says got to sleep good night all 6 one says I
[03:16:12] think BetaFlight 4.3 is elrs 2.2 and BetaFlight 4.4 4 and 45 areer S3 Spaceman spiff confirming 443 is El S3 and more stable than 4.5 to me that's interesting 6s one skipped 4.4 and
