[00:03:56]   flying like 10 minutes ago as you can see there Rock Steady is a total no-o Mobula 74 is hard mounting the camera and it would appear that hard mounting the camera kills the jello

[00:04:18]   it doesn't kill the jello but it's doesn't allow you don't get Jello when the camera is hard when the 04 light camera is hard mounted but the gyro that is in that

[00:04:34]   camera is too sensitive for the amount of vibrations and rock steady he freaks out what that probably also means is that gyro flow is going to freak out almost certainly especially

[00:04:51]   like if Rock Steady was only like freaking out every once in a while I would say like maybe gyro flow is going to be better about it but I mean it that was nasty that that's the first I've

[00:05:01]   seen of it there too and so that's kind of a bummer but that's been day three that's been a problem ever since my brain sometimes just stops that's a problem since the 03 air unit the the 03

[00:05:28]   setup so we're going to talk more about that here today and we are going to downgrade not really the Mobula 7 to smaller propellers and we're going to take a look at what happens to the

[00:05:45]   all up weight not going to fly it today I'll fly it tomorrow hopefully and then on tomorrow night's stream I'll be able to tell you what the difference is between the stone stock Mobula 704 on the

[00:05:58]   new HappyModel frame FR which uses 45 mm props and the old school Mobula 7 V3 frame with 40 mm propellers same exact Motors although on that guy what you were just watching those are the old

[00:06:15]   school BetaFPV 11021 18000s this has the new school ones I was on on the last live stream I was kind of thinking maybe those old school Motors were not well balanced but it

[00:06:30]   turns out that they're fine the I had a really weird situation with this rig where when I moved it from the HappyModel 102 10,000 KV Motors which did not survive a a

[00:06:47]   pretty abusive indoor bashing session over to the BetaFPV 1102 18,000 for some reason the the startup power all of a sudden the motors on the on the BetaFPV higher KV Motors the

[00:07:10]   startup power became a huge issue and I had to bump the idle speed up and really weird set of problems there but whatever I have it running properly now it flies great oh also 15 to 20

[00:07:27]   mph winds outside right now we've had just like a week of insane storms and so the wobbling that you saw in the Rock Steady off footage is just this thing getting kicked around by

[00:07:42]   the wind the wind is absolutely ridiculous right now that's not Jello the the rig bobbling around like this that is not Jello that is just a basically a build with prop guards in

[00:07:58]   the Wind it almost doesn't matter how powerful of a motor prop combo you've got rigs that aerodynamically look like this right so C whoops tiny whoops if you blow 15 20 M hour of wind past them that

[00:08:15]   wind hits this flat face and swirls all over the place and then if you've got a super powerful motor and a really aggressive PID tune it'll fight against that and it can stay it can stay level

[00:08:30]   but without all the bobbles but in that case it's using power to do that and it's going to fly away on its own and so this is why it's important not to overtune your rigs if you overtune a rig

[00:08:44]   it'll just start flying away and you'll be at zero throttle and it'll just be increasing in elevation because there's only a little bit of motor breaking force available and so the pit Loop uses the

[00:08:58]   motor break in and then that's it and 15 20 mph wind on a frame with a profile like this with prop guards that's not enough to the wind pushes it up like this the motor

[00:09:13]   breaking maxes out and it can't keep pulling it down so it has to put Power on this back motor to keep it steady and then the wind swirls in a different direction and it gets pushed in a

[00:09:23]   different direction it uses that little bit of motor breaking but then it runs out and it has to make power back here and that lead leaves you with a rig that flies away on its own and that sucks

[00:09:33]   that that's like a that's a really shitty feeling so there's that I tested the 45mm by blades against the tri blades we'll look at that flight footage together I haven't had a chance

[00:09:49]   to look at it and this is a Q&A live stream as they all are and I think that's about it we might fly six batteries we might not I don't have six batteries charged I have four batteries charged we

[00:10:04]   might fly them no promises I'm going to try to fly them we'll do a little 75mm versus 65 MIM comparison how about that I've got a air 65 here and an air 75 here and

[00:13:20]   the camera up okay so a couple things happened right before the stream I put another little extension piece on this camera so I use a tiny little tripod here and then I have these quarter2

[00:13:36]   extension pieces usually I have usually I have all three of them on here this is where the the downfacing camera usually lives and so I usually have extension piece extension piece and then

[00:13:50]   a third extension piece I've always had one extension piece there I wanted to move it over I wanted to do and so I have another extension piece here but when I was removing this camera the

[00:14:02]    the the the threads popped out of it and so I I E6000 the threads back in but I just did that like four minutes ago and so we've got no downfacing camera today that's why this view down

[00:14:17]   here is that like jankle looking there but this camera is now up a little bit higher which which is interesting it's I I did that because it's bugs me when it bugs me when I I I tend to do I tend to

[00:27:14]    the the big key with regular flight controller mounting on like a three and a half inch rig for example is the is the screws that you're mounting it to you never ever ever want to run screws up through

[00:27:31]   the base plate without a nut on the bottom of that screw to hold it solid if those screws going up through your carbon fiber ba base plate are they go up and then the ESC just drops right

[00:27:44]   down on there and then the flight controller drops on top of that that's no good because those screws are going to move around they're they they have freedom to like angle here's

[00:27:54]   your your base plate they're going to do this and that is bad you need those four screws even if you're just mounting an AIO in there you need those four screws to be solid so you got to go screw up

[00:28:05]   through the carbon fiber base plate and then you got to do a nut here you got to have that screw be totally solid and then you can have that rubber grommet on the flight controller so that it has a

[00:30:02]   startup Powers you keep creeping them up until the propellers will reliably spin at idle just sitting in front of you super easy to do with a tiny whoop because you can literally do it

[00:30:14]   right here because you're not worried about dying with like 2 in and bigger rigs you're you're not going to want to do it on your desk and so it takes a little bit more time because you got to

[00:32:14]   options the air 75 is the best lightweight option and it is somewhat durable it's way more durable when it's warm when it's cold it's got the same duct layout I I say that it's

[00:32:31]   durable as and mine's got two Brakes in it when they break they usually break in these exact spots here and you can just take a piece of shrink wrap the best way to do it is to take a

[00:32:44]   little piece of shrink wrap and slide it over as far as it'll go and then you take E6000 and you E6000 The Brak in the frame together and then you take the shrink wrap and you put it over the

[00:32:55]   E6000 and you shrink it down this actually gives you arguably a more an arguably stronger part of the frame but the there's an issue with all of these air 65 and 75 frames with the actual

[00:33:10]   design of the ducts and the supports where this exact spot it's just gets hammered like all of the energy from crashes ends up going to that one spot and it eventually breaks there but

[00:33:24]   the the air6 the air 75 is the lightest of the 75mm motoro motor 1S frames not great in the winter time because it gets more brittle and then you really start to see it not survive here

[00:33:39]   but in the summertime it's not that bad the other option the more durable option is the mbula 7 V4 frame it's really really good it's a gram heavier the the propellers sit

[00:33:58]   a little bit high in the ducts I I wish the ducts were a little bit deeper on that frame but it's a lot more durable and so these are really the the two options for 75mm frames that are

[00:34:09]   lightweight that are for 1S so that's the other one for you to get free to try at least but I'll tell you man this little E6000 with shrink wrap the little shrink wrap thing CMYK FPV actually I don't

[01:20:07]   how good this Mobula 74 flies I'm admittedly saddened that the motors that it came with the the shaft slipped so easily but this thing if you don't replace the props out of the box is

[01:20:23]   really really really good I've flown it enough to kind of know that and now I want to start [@$#%] around with it to see if I can shed some weight and see what it flies like

[01:20:34]   on the smaller props because now as we move forward from the initial review it's all about like building the ultimate 2S 04 carrying kind of setup but super super super impressed

[01:20:50]   with the HappyModel mbula 704 right out of the box this this canopy seems to be great it's protecting the 04 VTX I've had a shitload of crashes with this thing and I haven't had any of the the 04

[01:21:06]   light VTX being fragile issues that a lot of other people are having so I think that the the HappyModel canopy here is fantastic no Jello whatsoever really really really good

[01:21:20]   stuff great job HappyModel for for specking this thing out unfortunately HQ made the inner diameter of their propellers super small and that is the reason that is the main weakness of

[01:21:38]   this it's kind of the only weakness that I can really think of this rig is that if you have to remove a propeller there's a chance that you're going to ruin that motor and that that sucks

[01:21:51]   but I mean it has nothing to do with HappyModel they they chose to use the 45mm prop size and that's on them I I wish that they hadn't I understand why they did I absolutely understand why they did but

[01:22:09]   I wish they hadn't the main problem with the 45mm prop size is that the GemFan 45mm props are not quite well balanced enough and the HQ props are a little bit too fragile

[01:22:25]    when you go down to 40 mm props which is what we're what I'm doing right now the GemFan 1610s are beautifully well balanced and super durable and then we also have access to 45 mm HQ props

[01:22:40]   that are lighter and really well balanced but they are a little bit more fragile so you have options with with the 45mm props you don't have options your only option realistically is a a

[01:22:53]   propeller that's too fragile and that that kind of stinks because propellers that are too fragile break and when they break you can't fly the thing anymore and so if it's on a

[01:23:06]   rooftop that you don't have access to that rig is gone and that blows so now we're going to get to see if the if the if this aiio works in the Mobula 7 V3 frame if anything hit

[01:25:39]   bit usually they push these motor plugs outwards but it looks like they've got a couple little capacitors there in that spot and because of that it's hitting pretty bad on this part of the frame I

[01:25:54]   might be able to clearance a little bit of this frame a little bit of this part of the frame but look at the the top battery tray Mount there I'm not going to be able to clearance very much of it

[01:26:05]   so I don't think that this aiio is ever really and then you've also got to plug the motor wires in and then that plug needs a little bit of clearance so if I start

[01:26:19]   clearancing that part of the frame there on the left it's going to hit that bottom a battery tray support you see that and I it's I'm pretty sure this just ain't going to work so this

[01:26:32]   AO doesn't work in the Mobula 7 V3 frame it's also not going to work in the Mobula 7 V4 frame because it has a USB port on the bottom and in order to get the Mobula 7 V4 frame to work you got to

[01:26:49]   cut the upper battery supports and that pushes the battery up really high so no this particular this setup is going to go right back into no it's

[01:27:11]   not we're going to dive into the 2S Insanity so this aiio does not work I have another 04 light coming that I am going to put into a Mobula 7 V3

[01:27:30]   frame that already has the BetaFPV AO that does not have the USB port on the bottom and so we're going to have a 1.6 in 40 40 mm 04 light setup as soon as pyro Jon gets me that gets me that

[01:27:47]   my second 04 light air unit but this Mobula 74 build aiio this is going to go into a 2-in frame I have I've flown it enough in this Frame that it comes with to know that it's really damn good

[01:31:05]   blades that two oh my God are you kidding me HQ I think it's drilled not drilled I think it's molded 1 and a half millimeter but these old school HQ props they didn't mold the the

[01:32:41]   but on a 2-in build a 400 plus mAh battery is going to be more is going to be more what you're running this is a dog comom 450 oh don't tell me it doesn't fit oh man NOP that doesn't really fit

[01:33:02]   okay so we're not going to run the dogc com battery this is a tattoo 450 that fits perfect so we've got the flywoo 4 I've got two of the flywoo 420s and this tattoo 450 that's fine the three

[01:33:17]   batteries is good so I think we'll run this hglrc Frame first and I think the motors that we're going to run are these HappyModel 1103 11,000 KV I've also got a couple of these

[01:33:31]   old school BetaFPV 2-in prop frames which I know are fragile I have one of these with already a set of Motors in it these are talk about old school these are rcx

[01:33:51]   1103 7800 KV Motors these might not be well balanced but I'll let these are a set of Motors that I've had floating around forever rcx is a motor brand that my

[01:34:04]   rcart used to sell and at the time they were really really really good Motors they were like a little bit of a secret motor that nobody kind of knew about and I've just had them forever

[01:34:19]   they're actually some rcx Motors were like really really nachy who remembers rcx anybody I've also got this BetaFPV 75x frame the problem with this Frame is it's only drilled for four bolt

[01:34:38]   motor holes but I've got these RC and power 103s and they've got the convertible mounting pattern on the bottom and so oh but it's not going to fit in here it's not going to fit in this battery

[01:34:57]   track and I already see it the the motor plugs are going to hit so I won't be able to use this no well hold on maybe it will maybe we can test

[01:35:15]   1.6 it'll be with a weird set of Motors but hold on let's see nope it hits well hold on get in there Lewis oh [@$#%] it doesn't hit O Okay Okay possible change of plans here

[01:35:53]   I'm most interested in in trying it on 1.6 40mm prep and this is the only frame that's going to do that the problem with this Frame again is that it's four bolt Motors only most Motors that you're going to

[01:36:11]   want to run with 1.6 in props are three bolt 3 bolt Motors are much higher RPM and but these are 3volt aren't they can't use these the hdrc 2in frame has the convertible bolting pattern where you

[01:36:37]   can use three bolt or four bolt the BetaFPV frames here are only four bolt but these rcx motors are 4bolt the problem with these rcx 113s is they're only 7800 KV and so 7800

[01:36:56]   KV on 2S will not be enough for a 1.6 in prop I have to run these on a 2in prop so these these rcx motors have to stay on this Frame but there are these 103s 103 is a

[01:37:11]   little too big is there another motor that's four bolt I don't have any so it doesn't kind of do us any good so we we just just have to

[01:37:24]   use let's use these 103s screw it I've been dying to you I I I tried these on One S I'm going to have to mot limit the hell out of these but I tried these on 1S and they just annihilated

[01:37:37]   batteries maybe on 2S that'll be a little bit better I think these are like 22,000 KV though let me take a look so these are 22,000 KV I'm going to have to moto limit these

[01:58:30]   weird push it up to 1.4 fly it make sure it's not acting weird at some point it's going to start acting and sounding weird this is now me on the ground turning the pids up and now you're going to see the

[01:58:43]   the flight performance change a little bit eventually it'll start making weird noises it'll just start doing strange things that's me scratching my throat it's this weird

[01:58:54]   thing I do when my allergies Go Bananas if you want to be a little bit more hyper custom then you take the Dain slider the very top slide you leave the master

[01:59:09]   multiplier alone you take the very top slider the degain slider you fly it make sure everything's cool then you move that Dain slider up from 1.0 to 1.3 fly it make sure everything is cool

[01:59:23]   then you're going to move it up to 1.5 and you're going to take the second slider and you're going to move that up to 1.2 fly it make sure everything is cool and then you're going to keep going

[01:59:34]   up by 0. 2 basically that's a really nice little ratio to have between D gain and P Andi gain and that little tuning method will get your tune like 80 to 90% perfect

[01:59:56]   all right we are not going to be doing this build because apparently the the motor bolt spacing is different what the hell okay that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen this BetaFPV 75x

[02:00:26]   frame has a different four bolt motor spacing than these motors what it sure does well that that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen hold on let me check this other
