[00:02:24] greetings greetings my name is Aaron Ciotti everybody calls me Ciotti welcome to whoop Wednesday that was pretty much a Mobula 804 they don't make a mobul 804 I didn't realize I was building a mobul 804 but here we are HappyModel
[00:02:46] was cool enough to send me a mbula 704 which has their new 80 mm motor to motor frame with 102 10,000 KV Motors set up for 2S 45 mm propellers the tri blades you can't buy yet and the their AIO setup for
[00:03:13] xt30 04 light their canopy which is really good flew that a bunch couple of live streams about that there's even a flight edit with that rig that I put up yesterday actually I've got an Instagram edit with that going up this Saturday if you want to check that out
[00:03:33] it's the same thing and then so I wanted to the plan was to move it into this Mobula 7 version three frame with the smaller 40 mm propellers 1.6 in props but the aiio that they use for this
[00:04:00] which is Super X I'm not sure which AIO this is but if you look up the Mobula 704 it's the AO that's in that it doesn't clear the mobula 703 frame and so that kind of went out the window I had a couple of
[00:04:21] these HappyModel Mobula 8 frames 85mm motor to motor set up for 2in propellers sitting around and the aiio fit perfectly in here so I put it into this because I've been kind of meaning to check 2in tiny whoops out for a while and we talked about that on was
[00:04:48] it Monday Monday's live stream the weather's been horrible so I haven't gotten a fly it since then but I put a bunch of batteries through it and we talked about it and watched them and that's what you were just watching were just watching this thing which is
[00:05:01] basically a Mobula 804 Mobula 8 I guess frame 85 MIM motor to motor frame for 2in props GemFan 2015s 2015s HappyModel 1103 11,000 KV motors motor limited down a little bit I want to say motor limited down to 90% I'm just realizing I got to put it up to 100% see how it is and then the same
[00:05:37] camera canopy 04 light and AO watching that watching that flight footage just now during the intro to the live stream I can definitely tell you that this is faster than it was on the smaller frames smaller propellers smaller Motors right 102s
[00:06:05] compared to 110 no I'm sorry not 102s these are actually 1102s 1102 versus 1103 so if you're looking for a tiny whoop that's faster 2 in is going to do that for you we talked last stream a lot about what's the deal with
[00:06:25] 2in tiny whoops I don't think so my main issue with this is that a from what I've been told this Frame is kind of fragile I can totally see that it's going to break here between the the duct supports and the ducts there is an hglrc frame for 2in props that is
[00:06:50] supposedly a lot more durable unfortunately you got to use a rubber band to hold the battery in which is kind of annoying on that frame I am
[00:06:56] going to try that frame out at some point my main issue though is that this is a little heavy for for trying to shoot like tiny little gaps in like front yard backyard life and I don't necessarily think the the little bit of extra speed warrants that I I think this is and what
[00:07:19] we talked about Monday I think this is really a specific tool for if you want something if you want something guarded Ed that can handle the wind a little bit better a little bit better not a lot better but a little bit better
[00:07:37] so that's kind of what this is specifically for I think most of you are going to be happier with a 45mm prop build or what we're working on tonight which is a 45 I'm sorry a 75mm motor to motor 1.6 in
[00:08:01] prop build this is the 2S 75mm rig that used to have well that's had a bunch of WalkSnail light VTX and Camera combos in it all of those WalkSnail light vtx's have exploded and are now on their way
[00:08:21] back to WalkSnail hopefully for repair with the luck that I've had or lack thereof with overseas shipping in reality they're probably on their way to the bottom of the ocean but whatever they were all broken anyway so and they don't make you prepay for their
[00:08:40] Repair Service but we're going to take this and put an 04 into it I got another one from pyro drone I so I'm going to do this build and I'm going to use it to compare two 2 in tiny whoops basically to 1.6 in tiny whoops and then I think I'm going to pick and tear one of these
[00:09:09] apart Someday my BetaFPV order will get to me I ordered from them like a month ago right before Chinese New Year and I don't have a tracking number yet I actually emailed them last night like you going to ship this order or what
[00:09:27] and so eventually oh I can't do this full build tonight I need to do the I need to run the bead of E6000 around the camera connector damn it I can do everything but man I was really hoping to fly this in the house a little bit tonight that's a terrible idea anyway these are too
[00:09:50] heavy to fly in the inside the house but I'll do everything else that I need to do in the build so that it's basically just plug and play and I'll E6000 it and so it'll be ready to fly
[00:10:06] tomorrow tomorrow's Thursday I should have some time tomorrow to fly it what was I just saying lost my train of thought balls what was I just talking about things must not have been that important that's the plan for
[00:10:27] tonight Stanley oh BetaFPV eventually that order will get here in that order is their aiio their new 1S AIO which is apparently like the only one that will run the 04 light system without browning
[00:10:51] out all over the place so I I'm going to pull one of these part and I think I I I don't know if I can justify another $100 on a third 04 air unit so I'll probably pull one of these apart and do a RC drift car
[00:11:14] chasing build with it especially because the the the torque motorport the place that had the RC drift track they are opening back up the end of the month here so the timing should be kind of perfect get one of these into one of those little guys it should only be a
[00:11:36] gram heavier then this will also force me to use the 3D printer to print out the version of the Batwing that crom modified to work with the 04 camera and I'll have a 1S 65mm no duct in view
[00:11:56] little 1S build that'll be pretty cool and I'll use it for Stuff other than chasing the RC drift cars butchasing those little guys in 100 frames a second 4K is going to be something else
[00:12:17] I I I I what a time to be alive I was totally happy with the quality of the the WalkSnail footage not super happy with how heavy that thing is and the and the run time but it was like well at least the footage looks amazing
[00:12:37] this is going to be like probably another gram heavier we'll we'll be able to check it actually we we'll we'll be able to compare the weight cuz I still have that 1S WalkSnail rig hell I'll be able to fly them both back to back that'll be a cool live stream walks that'll be a really cool WalkSnail
[00:12:57] light versus 04 light live stream I'll fly a whole bunch of batteries on both of them and we'll see if we'll be able to compare all the things it'll probably be a blowout right
[00:13:15] like there's other than the WalkSnail setup being like potentially a gram lighter there's not really anything that it's going to do better what I mean it's more fragile I don't really think the latency is is
[00:13:36] all that different anybody know off well we can just look here let's see let's take a quick look I actually still have the chart pretty much up latency comparison with other systems huge shout out to Chris Rosser for doing this amazing me live stream
[00:13:55] comparing all of these guys so if we come in here fast forward a little bit okay so we're going to be looking at Avatar ht0 analog hg0 goggles DJI 04 race mode NOP not racar but not race mode I think we want to be hold on4 race mode4 race mode no we just want
[00:14:29] 04 regular oh well no what hold on hold on Avatar goggles 50 megabit 1080 100 so the highest you could go on the' 04 light was 1080 60 so that's what we're looking for Avatar goggles 1080 60 and he doesn't have it in here on this
[00:14:53] chart I'm willing to bet it's the same or or 04 might actually be lower latency than than the Avatar setup on 10860 which is the max that you can run the light at so it might have better image quality and lower latency which would kind of
[00:15:21] be ridiculous but we live in ridiculous times right now so so that's the plan Stan what do you think of that in the chat Cole Powers was first render was next Spaceman spiff Mac FPV Curtis Hayes Matthew W render Curtis
[00:15:43] Hayes again doubles FPV yanuk Frank Nicholas Co Powers Rays alycat juic jonian Curtis Hayes cold Powers I'm just going to read one page tonight because we got all kinds of stuff to do if you want the gangest of gangli to give you a shout out got to
[00:16:01] show up early got to say something in the chat that's all you got to do or you can type cfpv into your chat message and I'll see it and read it the oh the antenna I was going to say they jibbed me on an antenna it's not jibed it's jipped isn't
[00:16:18] it and it's referring to gypsies that's not very nice there are so many there are just so so so many sayings that we should really not be saying so many raise FPV with a $5 Super Chat thank you brother he says I have
[00:16:38] 14,000 KB Motors and one wire came off three of the motors how can I prevent this in the future shrimp wrap E6000 liquid electric tape help me 14,000 KV
[00:16:56] Motors one wire came off three of the motors let me guess it's they're so 14,000 KV I'm going to guess that they are like a 102 I'm also going to guess that they are an RC and power is motor the reason why I'm guessing
[00:17:17] that is that the wires are breaking off and RC and power is one of the companies that doesn't do the little piece of shrimp wrap around the the base of the motors so you got to do there's two things there's two things that are going to prevent that
[00:17:38] a you when you when you're when you're grabbing when you're grabbing in here to grab the motor to take the propeller off or like anything for that matter when you grab in here make sure you're grabbing where the where the wires don't come out
[00:18:02] out hold on God damn it make sure like if you're going to grab in here don't grab in here where the motors come out cu you're going to be pushing on that and that's what's going to break it grab here grab where the wires are not or grab or grab like this right make sure you never ever ever have your finger in the opening where the wires
[00:18:28] are coming out but there are Mo most of the most of the companies put little shrimp wrap little bit of shrimp wrap there and that really really really really helps RC and power didn't get that memo and they do not they just run the wires bare so when you go grabbing
[00:18:54] at it in there you're pushing directly on the weakest part of the wire and it folds it and then it braks you should be able to get a little bit of shrimp wrap in there and the idea is how can I show you okay you might be able to see it here the idea is for
[00:19:17] the shrimp wrap to go around the PCB all right and so it really tightens up on the PCB and then the bottom part of the shrimp wrap here to the bottom right that's not really tight on anything but it's just it's using the strength from the PCB to not let those wires Bend right there after the PCB so
[00:19:44] this is really what you want to do with with some shrimp wrap most of the motor manufacturers do this here's a HappyModel motor they do it you can really see it there see how the shrimp wrap is really nice and tight on the PCB there and so that's what gives it the strength what what you need to have happen is like you've got the PCB and
[00:20:04] then you've got the W so this is the silicone this is the silicone insulation and then these are the individual strands of wire and then this is the PCB and so what you really want is for the the individual wires to go flat and then you want the silicone to butt right up
[00:20:23] against the PCB and so that that's one way that it's strong but the problem if you bend if you bend the wires this way see how it separates if you bend the wires this way it's fine that the silicone pushes up against and the whole wire will bend right what you don't want is the wire to only Bend in this right
[00:20:43] spot right here wait right here where my nose is if it bends in this one spot where my mouth is now it's going to break each individual wire one at a time and then eventually the wires will break all the way off so you got to have a piece of shrink
[00:21:00] wrap and so the shrink wrap is going to go over and it's going to grab the the PB and then this part of the the the part of the shrimp wrap here it's just going to be kind of loose but when you accidentally push on it that piece of shrink wrap is going to slow is going to
[00:21:19] like kind of slowly bend that doesn't really make sense but it's going to bend more gently it's not going to just bend at this one specific point over and over and over again it's going to gently Bend and that will prevent those individual wires from breaking right hopefully that makes sense that's I that's hard to explain
[00:21:41] but shrimp wrap is going to help but also getting the the silicone wires getting the silicone insulation as close as possible to the PCB helps as well but a piece of shrimp there is the is one of the best
[00:21:59] things you can do so do that and it'll be a little bit more durable for you for sure where's the I'm going to throw one of these away it's going to be this one all right you go away now I've made a deal with myself I I like to keep boxes like this but the
[00:22:29] deal that I've made with myself to prevent excessive hoarding is that if I buy a second one of these I have to throw the Box away I can only keep one box I got this from pyro
[00:22:49] drone I got these as well these are the GemFan 2008 propellers 2in uh8 pitch by blades I thought that I also got the triblade versions of these but for some reason I didn't and I was really pissed about that and so I actually placed another Power Dr order because I forgot to get a bunch of stuff
[00:23:13] something came back in stock that I I've been waiting for it's a 4S 1050mah tattoo rline battery that I run in the cine whoops and so also I got the the Newbie drone goggles to goggle foam and it's great it's it
[00:23:34] for me for my face and head shape and the size of my nose it's really really really nice absolutely no light leak and the goggles sit closer to my face so the Newbie drone foam if if you're if you have a face shape like mine
[00:23:54] then the and you have goggles too the new newb drone foam might be your your go-to and then I also I thought that I was getting a dogc com 300mah 1S BT 2.0 battery but apparently I accidentally ordered a pH 2.0 battery so
[00:24:16] next person that orders 1S pH 2.0 batteries from my Etsy store will get this thrown in with their order because I have absolutely no use for it whatsoever Ray thank you again for the support my friend
[00:24:40] cfpb.gov you from buying and wasting your money it is well worth $3 a day over on my patreon that is the way that you can help me out the absolute most as it says here Etsy I've got some really fun stuff for sale with a bunch more stuff coming Fiverr you can work one-on-one with me or just message me and we'll schedule it this is how you really
[00:25:04] get a lot of knowledge really quickly treat yourselfyou're worth it I try to put as much as I can into these live streams but you've got to spend a ton of time sorting through all of these to get all the info that you want and get all the questions that you've got rattling around your head answered half an
[00:25:20] hour session for 40 bucks or an hour session for 60 bucks you can get like literally years worth of knowledge all packed in I let you record the session with Skype so that you don't have to like take notes or anything and we just blast through stuff man if you've got tons of questions fire away I have some some like paths that I can kind of walk
[00:25:40] you down when it comes to like build planning or flight instruction or teaching you how to tune all kinds of good stuff Teespring has some really fun apparel PayPal if you want to support me directly but you don't want to do a super chat and then lots of affiliate links change your bookmarks over to someone's affiliate links if not mind
[00:25:58] somebody else's help us keep making content here on YouTube try to use an affiliate link every time you buy something on the Internet I have
[00:26:05] affiliate links for Amazon get FPV pyro drone race day quads newbie drone wee bed BetaFPV fpv cycle hingi God brain 3D hd0 fly xbang good camera AliExpress there you go that's how you support me thank you everybody I'm super excited to try
[00:26:24] these props out on the on the 2in rig but like I said the weather's been absolutely horrifying so it didn't happen but hopefully it'll happen tomorrow today was actually a super busy day happy birthday to my my beautiful partner Maggie she is unfortunately feeling just awful
[00:26:44] and so it was a birthday of not feeling all that great today but I made it as good as I possibly could I got her some cool presents and the food that she wanted for dinner and the cake that she loves the most and tried my best to make this a
[00:27:04] good day but there's some health going on which is a little worrying but we'll everything will hopefully be okay just trying to we're all just trying to stay calm so so today today was a super busy I had to get aelia to talk
[00:27:32] therapy and then run around with a bunch of other stuff and so but some days just be if you want to talk directly to me in the chat just type c FPV it'll light up an orange for me or you can do a super chat if you want to support
[00:27:49] the madness like beo ride and grind just did uh$ 499 thank you brother no comment just once to support the insanity thank you so much man if you do have a question by all means tag me type CiottiFPV and then ask any question you want and I will give you special attention because you supported me all the love
[00:28:11] thanks for the knowledge you're certainly welcome dude thank you for being a part of why I can do this Ray says good evening sir hope you're doing well tonight Ali cat says greetings earthlings Craig says howdy everyone Ray also says I'm regretting my Nimble 6504 purchase now that I've learned like stuff about FPV welcome to
[00:28:33] FPV brother that won't be the first that won't be the first thing that you buy that you regret it is a right of passage many of us have like entire boxes of that we wished that we wished we hadn't bought you
[00:28:54] know I try my best to like warn you guys whenever I can but there's just too much stuff out there maybe swap out the stack with the Mobula 7 V3 or the HappyModel 2s1 you have when they sell it usually like like like with a BNF if you buy one that's not great
[00:29:13] usually there's something in there that that you can use and so when that that is going to happen it's going to happen again it happens to all of us just try to try to make lemons out of that lemonade and hang on to it to be honest or like just Hawk
[00:29:35] it on Facebook Marketplace and just be rid of it there's nothing wrong with that you'll take a little bit of a hit but you'll see save yourself a like if if there's nothing in there that's great right like if there's nothing in there that's great just just bail on it but usually there's at least something that's not terrible
[00:29:54] and even if like today you don't have a home for for it hang on to it eventually you will I mean it could just end up being like what we call a one-way whoop which is like if you're going to fly something super sketchy make sure your DVR is running and then that's the rig that you fly for the super sketchy Mission and if it doesn't come home it
[00:30:15] was a oneway whoop and you've got the DVR and everybody likes watching other people lose and fail and get hurt and so that'll be your most watched video shoot FPV says now that you've flown 1S and 2S with the 04 I haven't flown 1S with the 04 but I have with WalkSnail
[00:30:37] which is just a gram lighter is it worth it to make a 1 s04 absolutely not if so 75 or 85 definitely not 85 if you're going to do it maybe 75 maybe 65 but don't do it or just stay 2S yep 2S is the way if you if you
[00:30:59] want lots and lots and lots of discussions and flight footage and everything and anything surrounding that is this mic clipping I I think I might have moved the mic a little bit closer to myself and I believe that it's clipping a
[00:31:17] little bit here let me just back this off a little bit let me back it down to 8 DB up that should be a little bit better yep that should be a little bit better check check check cool now it's not clipping if you want lots and
[00:31:34] lots and lots of info of what 65 and 75mm 1S rigs are like with the weight of a digital video system all the testing that I've done so far has been on WalkSnail but WalkSnail is only one gram lighter so it 04 is going to be even worse but not much worse not significantly worse right come to my
[00:31:57] channel here on all YouTube channels there's this little tiny hidden magnifying glass if you click it you can search on just this channel if you search for 1S WalkSnail there is there are just I I've just done so much work trying to get
[00:32:18] 1s with HD to fly to both fly good but also have decent runtime and unfortunately you just have to pick you can either have something that flies good or you can have something with acceptable runtime if you have something
[00:32:38] that flies good the run time is going to be less than 2 minutes it's going to hammer the hell out of your batteries they're not going to last very long and it doesn't even fly all that great to be totally honest also the problem with 04 is that it's going to Brown out like crazy there's only one AO that doesn't Brown out with the 04 when you
[00:32:58] run it on 1S and it's by BetaFPV it's their new one their new Matrix but the long and short of it is that ones with a digital video system it's not a freestyle rig it ends up being like a little cine whoop and
[00:33:18] like with 04 that does make more sense than it does with WalkSnail because the video quality is so godamn damn good but if you do a 2S rig it's going to be just as good if not better of a little cop and you're going to also be able to Freestyle with it so I I really can't
[00:33:43] recommend the the 1S thing with when it comes to digital I did it as a little tiny cine whoop to chase the RC drift cars which admittedly is awesome so awesome that I'm going to build another with 04 that is such a specific thing
[00:34:01] though the little RC drift cars change directions really quick and so you have to have something that is absolutely as light as humanly possible so that is a super super super specific thing that I'm doing with that rig the run time is going to suck and the flight performance kind of sucks but to be able
[00:34:22] to get 4k flight footage on the door of little RC drift cars is about the coolest thing ever so it's worth it for that one super super super specific use if you have a similar use case sorry that's what happens when I
[00:34:43] use stupid industry jargon that idiots use to feel Superior it just triggers the gag response I don't know it's the weirdest thing if you have a similar case where it has to be unbelievably quiet unbelievably lightweight and able to change directions yes 1s
[00:35:08] 04 65mm 0702 High KV Motors is going to be the way to go you probably don't I can't think of any other scenarios that would need that specific build every other scenario a 2S 75mm rig like what I'm going to be building tonight is the answer it is barely any louder it still
[00:35:34] looks like a silly little kids toy right this is all the way up to 2 in but like this is a kid this is a little kids toy nobody's going to think that this is a this is invading their privacy or spying on them or doing anything other than just being a silly little kid's toy right it's super quiet you're it's
[00:35:53] it's not going to attract attention so if you want to do the gorilla whooping stuff this is going to be totally fun the one that we're going to
[00:35:58] build tonight is even smaller and even lighter right but but like the benefit of these going to us is that you get efficiency you get good power to weight ratio you get something that you can actually fly hard as a freestyle rig
[00:36:17] without ruining your batteries and so you've got something that you can do gorilla whooping with you can fly it hard as hell with freestyle you're still not going to attract any attention what I mean so the long and short of it is that 1S is for
[00:36:36] indoor or no it's for indoor hardcore freestyle I was going to say like a little bit of outdoor you could maybe make an argument for like Jungle Gym bashing what that is is like flying at a jungle gym really really really
[00:36:54] hard so front like Matty power Loops Dives like all the the stuff that you do with a 5-in rig at a bando but at a jungle gym right and what's cool about that is there's jungle gyms everywhere you're going to pretty much do that with a 65mm 1S rig and just
[00:37:13] hope that it's not a windy day a an indoor hardcore analog 65mm 1S build is God for Jungle Gym bashing if you think about the size of a jungle gym you could fit you could fit a jungle gym like in your living room what I mean like they're not that big what's
[00:37:35] that lamp doing over there it looks so weird jungle gyms are not that big and the gaps that you're going to shoot in a jungle gym are like this big right the monkey bars the gaps are this big the the the like
[00:37:49] the ladders and the gaps are like this big this is like the same size as the Gap like in your coffee table that you want to fly through right so Jungle Jim B I tried really hard to make 75mm rigs work for it and they're okay because what's cool about that is you are outside and there is wind and a 75mm rig does do a little bit
[00:38:07] better in the wind but it's not good enough the 65s are better and that what's cool about that is you don't have to have so many different rigs one of the best things you can do to screw yourself up and not be able to improve as a pilot is to have
[00:38:25] one 1 S65 mm rig one 1S 75mm rig a 2S 75mm rig a 2S 85mm rig a 2 and 1/2 in rig a 3in rig a 3 and halfin rig a 5in rig a 7in rig and bounce between every single one of those and never fly more than a couple batteries on one before you move to another one when you
[00:38:46] do that instead of getting good all you're doing is learning how to adjust between each different rig like you're going to get a little bit better but the best thing you can Poss possibly do to properly get good as a pilot is to fly the same exact thing over and over and
[00:39:04] over and over and over again because you'll get used to it and then you're done getting used to it and you can just focus on your flying and how to fly better and so 1S 65mm 0702 High KV motor rig indoors rips jungle gems rips wind
[00:39:26] is going to kick the out of you but deal with it the wind is going to be going this direction so when you're going into the wind you can look down more and fly slow when you're going with the wind you can go really fast if you want to do like a sideways sliding
[00:39:42] shot like you would do with a mavic if the wind is going this way you just need to point like this and then you let the wind push you nice and flat Right Use the wind and then you've got a 2S 75mm rig for railing up and down the street in through your garden stuff and
[00:40:01] then you've just got two those are the two tiny whoop formulas that just like when I fly them they feel right they feel correct it's the right mix of power to weight the the response time is really good the the run time is good it's not like a weird setup
[00:40:27] that's like hammering the out of your batteries and it's like annoying because you got to change batteries every two minutes and you're having
[00:40:35] to like crank the pids way up because the the the prop motor combo is not quite right but you have to run it to keep the weight down it's they're setups that most closely mimic a 5-in build on like 227s or 236s where you fly it and you're just like wow this
[00:40:53] is insane this is perfect you could make an argument for 2S 2 in for the tiny whoop like we talked about on Monday if you you live somewhere windy or if you just want something that's faster than a 1.6 in prop build but to be honest I think the 1.6 in prop is
[00:41:15] is going to be the way to go because it's got that little bit less weight it's going to be more accurate and you're going to be able to shoot these
[00:41:21] really little gaps in between the bushes in front of your house and that's really cool you can still do that with a 2-in rig but it's significantly harder so
[00:41:30] really good question yanic says I read only smaller aios fit the pro- siiz frames 45mm prop or 35 can long grommets prevent the fit issue they cannot the the pro frames though
[00:41:48] you don't want you do not want the pro frames the 65 Pro frame makes no sense the 75 Pro frame makes a little bit of sense but you end up with a 1S they only hold 1S batteries and that's just that's not the way that's not the way to do it you should be going
[00:42:11] up to 2S for a much better flight experience on 75mm rigs so just abandon 1S I'm telling you I know it's not the answer that you want to hear CU you probably have a bunch of 1S 450mah batteries which I do as as well but it's the answer that you need to hear 2S on
[00:42:31] 75 with analog is some of the most fun that I've had in FPV in the last year it is outrageous it is so good out in front and behind your house it is just like the power to wet ratio is insane the float is really nice
[00:42:49] it's laser beam accurate you can turtle mode it in the grass and take it back off you practically never have to take the walk a shame it's durable as hell it is so good whereas 1S 75mm rigs even on the pro frame it's just it's okay but it's just
[00:43:10] that it's just okay you don't fly it and go like oh my God this is unbelievable you fly it and you're like all right this ain't bad 2S is the way I'm telling you Aly cat says I'm building a meteor 75
[00:43:30] and thinking about using hglrc Spectre 102 21000 any thoughts meteor 75 H Spector I I haven't run those exact Motors but a 102 21,000 it'll be okay it'll be all right I have if you want to look at pretty much exact what that is going to fly
[00:43:59] like I've done almost that identical build it's going to be a little hard to find let me see 1S 102 here you go this is 1 375 mm build 603 802 102 there you go so there's some plate footage in here 102 tiny tiny lifter no we don't
[00:44:46] want that that's not it Mobula 7 102 23,500 KV build I doubt that I fly it on here but if you go to this live stream and then go to the one right after it there'll probably be some stuff it's okay that that build I had pretty much that exact build
[00:45:07] I still I might still have one of those what that build does really well is not really change elevation but just Cruise like just rip up and down the street shoot the little gaps in your garden don't try to do power loops and Matty flips with that setup it doesn't
[00:45:25] have the power to wait rate ratio to change elevation all that well but 102 Motors right 10 mm wide 2 mm tall 2 4 6 8 10 5 to 1 width to height ratio that's a motor that's going to stay nice and cool and so you put the nose down on that thing and just go really fast the
[00:45:49] motor is going to stay nice and cool and it's going to be nice and efficient so you can bomb up and down the street it's like invisible right it's infinitely quiet and you could just rail all around with it and it is actually very fun it's an old school tiny whoop flight experience and what I mean
[00:46:07] by that is in the olden days of tiny whoops on brushed motors and low KV brushless motors they just didn't have the horsepower to do the the three-dimensional tricks they didn't have the power to throw themselves up in the air come off throttle and float for a second so that you could flip and flop all over the place and so we used to fly
[00:46:26] tiny whoops like little RC cars would go forward backward left and right and that's totally fun it's just a little bit more for for those of us that have been flying forever it's a little bit of like a limiting kind of flight experience but it's actually kind of nice to go back to that I I I had a blast with that rig at the dog park just
[00:46:46] letting the dogs chase it around and just like zooming all around the dog park doing like big laps and with those again with those Motors it's super efficient and it'll just you can just run it at like 60 70% throttle for the whole 450 MH battery and you'll still get like three minutes of run time
[00:47:06] it's actually kind of fun so if you fly that rig in that way you'll dig it if you try to do Matty flips and power Loops it's going to frustrate you at the bottoms of Dives it's going to like wiggle around because it's not going to have the power to get itself out you're going to have to like get on the throttle really early to give
[00:47:24] it enough time to not hit the ground and that just kind of annoying that's what these 2 s75 mm rigs don't deal with they have so much power that at the bottom of any move you stab the throttle and they just and that's not them hitting the ground that's like hitting an inch off the ground and perfectly
[00:47:44] leveling out and then just flying away it's really something else so that's how you should use that build and you'll dig it Brent Anderson says shout out Brent are you oh no you're telling me to shout
[00:48:02] you I thought you were shouting out yourself you've been flying 12 to 24 batteries today for the last three months Jesus and you're advaning splendidly thanks Ciotti very cool man is it not outrageous how how that consistently that that consistency oh
[00:48:19] you piece of Canon how that consistency will pay off hold on oh I forgot to turn the camera back on should be coming back up in a second oh come on you jerk hok says what good flight controller like the flywoo Goku blah
[00:48:54] blah blah blah blah they are discontin I guess and for 2S for 2S BT 3.0 or XT30 BT 3.0 for sure the only pain in the S is there aren't many batteries available for it so XT30 wins for battery selection but bt30
[00:49:21] wins for everything else flight characteristics all up weight stuff I have 2in 1S with 5 amps sc's BT 2.0 is it better to switch to XT30 for 1S no there's no reason to switch to XT30 for 1S it won't benefit you at all it'll just add weight which you really
[00:49:40] don't want 1S the name of the game is Just absolute lightweight because it anything north of 65mm motor to motor 1.2 in props is too heavy for 1S and so you need to really be careful like try to find every fraction of a gram that you possibly can to get any kind of
[00:50:01] flight performance out of out of 1S so definitely don't switch to XT30 BMF Spade says I ordered a set of 2207 ax comp Bando 1950 KV Motors because of you saying how good they are for my X5 in build going to try kiss Ultra and volara 70 ampc those aax Motors are
[00:50:20] awesome awesome awesome awesome Motors ax is a German company so of course everything they make is good raise FV says that makes sense Buddy's going to fix it for me because my hand shake too much with to solder these but I'll shrimp wrap them and be more careful with how a man handle my Motors thanks you're certainly welcome I I've it took me a while to realize
[00:50:40] I made that same mistake a million times wow Canon you are just you are just a huge heap of tonight A I apologize for the for Canon making a terrible piece of software that drive although actually it looks it's YouTube its pants right now so between Canon and YouTube boy
[00:51:04] is live streaming difficult although hold on what is it the CPU is freaking out why does the CPU keep freaking out it's YouTube YouTube's doing it all right it'll YouTube will crash in a second I'll lose oh I got to get through the chat quick as I can because I'm going to lose chat messages Craig
[00:51:29] says happy birthday Maggie Craig with a $20 Super Chat he says happy birthday to the Maggie thank you so much Craig I will put that towards the the trip that I booked for her and I not on VRBO I got the VRBO to eventually after enough screaming fully refund me and I booked another guy on Airbnb Matthew Wagner with a $20 Super Chat he says
[00:51:48] throwing another $20 $20 into Maggie's birthday pile thank you dude again that that has already been spent on this trip at the end of the month St says any BNF 2S whoops you suggest pref preferably PNP actually one that isn't the Pavo that is too open-ended of a question for me to properly answer you mentioned the
[00:52:12] Pavo the Pavo is basically a cop I don't There Goes YouTube all right cool so let's refresh this let's close this we'll see how much of the chat I lost hopefully not that
[00:52:32] much all right and live chat awesome I didn't lose anything great so the Pavo is a cop which kind of makes me wonder if that's what you're doing are you are you looking for something to do like professional sort of work with if so I actually don't know much about those
[00:53:01] smaller builds I find them to be too noisy and they won't carry GoPros so they're they don't really do anything for for me and the the type of work that I get hired to do if you're looking for something to fly
[00:53:22] freestyle you don't want any of those rigs you can't crash those rigs they explode when you crash them you need like a standard style tiny whoop like like what we do a lot lately and then I need to know like what video system you're on stuff like
[00:53:43] that right like an' 04 build is going to be different than an analog build and stuff so that that should at least get you started though Brandon
[00:53:50] Bean says I did a fly through for a real friend of mine yesterday it's a homies listing and the avat 2 is basically the perfect drone for this it is indeed I use the position holds normal mode with the rc3 very cool gyro flow with Horizon stabilization and I did short form from with speed ramps very cool
[00:54:11] the avat 2 is is perfect for a lot of stuff it is absolutely outrageous how good that thing is Chris Croft says I changed my mobu 6 hd0 Eco into an underground drone League nice class quad what just happened yungan thanks you for the subscription brother I
[00:54:34] know it for racing but pretty much the opposite of SEF PV recommendations for 1S whoops you must have missed the the the live stream where I converted my ao5 build into a 75 and talked about why I actually think the best spot for HD 0 is
[00:54:57] a 75mm rig the the AO basically the ao5 on a 655mm rig yes it's the lightest possible digital tiny whoop setup but it's still too heavy and primarily 65mm 1S rigs you're going to fly inside your house inside your house you don't have
[00:55:25] scraggle you don't have like things that are in a different spot every time you fly and so you kind of don't need to be able to you barely need to be able to see right like HD Z's Advantage is you get slightly better image quality and so outside where there's scraggle or where there's things that move are and are in
[00:55:46] a different position every time you fly or you just go to a different location every time you fly that better image quality makes sense inside your house house why do you care once you've flown a dozen batteries inside your house where your couch is where your coffee table is where your
[00:56:05] desk is and so analog is lighter which is going to let you have more runtime better power to weight ratio do more tricks hd0 has basically no advantages inside the house and you can see this by the fact that not many racers run it anymore like a bunch of
[00:56:23] racers tried hd0 and then moved right back to analog for the lighter weight but the ao5 on a 75mm rig that you're going to use to fly outside the house where there's going to be wind and scraggle makes an awful lot of sense I need to I still need to switch the camera back on mine I I put the the Lux camera on it and
[00:56:50] then in the first battery I hit something that scratched the lens and it's like kind of nasty so I need to put the the the Eco camera back onto it and then I'll start flying it outside again I I actually have a perfectly good 1S 450mah battery sitting here charged
[00:57:06] that I want to fly through that thing but I I actually think that 75mm rigs are the best spot for a5s 75mm rigs are also a little bit heavier so the extra weight of the ao5 doesn't make as much of a difference too right there's another reason Cole power says and it makes a lot of sense
[00:57:29] with the underground whoop League builds because they force you to run fat rigs so the extra weight that you would have spent on like stupid like LEDs that are admittedly cool but don't help performance at all you can spend that extra weight on the ai5 and be able to see where you're going better than the
[00:57:50] other guys so that build actually makes a ton of sense Cole power says you can control a to select all text in YouTube chat yes I do I've been I've been using I've been using Mac and Apple Computers ever since there was
[00:58:09] both oh my God they don't even have the apple on the keyboards anymore I didn't even notice that I've been using apple and Mac computers since there was both an open Apple button and a closed Apple button and they did different things on the keyboards I was actually my dad had a little side
[00:58:28] business computer Consulting Apple computer Consulting and then Mac computer Consulting and he would send me out every once in a while to like the just the dumbest clients that that he had that didn't know how to like control open Apple delete and
[00:58:46] stuff and I was doing that like as a teenager here and there I think I only went it helped out a couple times but I made a couple of bucks Yanik says weight to power ratio is King for experienced Pilots 1S or 2S but
[00:59:04] for a beginner that crashes all the time isn't a heavier rugged rig with lower KV better it is I mean rugged sure but everything that I build is designed around durability durability is very high in the list of priorities so absolutely everything that you see me building has durability as one of the
[00:59:30] top tier things so we can take that out of the out of the equation I don't build these ridiculous like super fragile holes drilled in them kind of rigs just for the sake of power to weight ratio I choose components sometimes that are a little bit lighter as long as they're
[00:59:47] not fragile right like I really search for components that are the same durability or even more durable that are also lighter right right like sometimes lighter in every once in a while lighter is more durable because it's lighter it's not very often that that happens but like so the Cockroach V3 frame
[00:59:47] for example that frame is designed more intelligently than the air 65 Frame and it's lighter and so if they were both the same weight the they would probably be like the same durability but because of the fact that the Cockroach V3 frame is a
[00:59:47] little bit lighter it ends up being even more durable than the air 65 Frame you see what I'm saying there in terms of lower KV being better the problem with that is that lower KV tiny whoops struggle with response time tiny
[00:59:47] whoops are the worst power to weight ratio rigs in all of FPV because as propellers get smaller they get significantly less efficient and so the biggest problem that tiny whoops have always had and will always have is power to weight ratio lower KV tiny whoop Motors are so
[00:59:47] weak and so underpowered that the response time sucks and why that matters is that when you do crash or when you're about to crash and you go to make a correction the response time on those low KV rigs is so bad that you'll make
[00:59:47] that correction and there's a significant delay before anything actually happens and then that in itself can be the reason that you crash because it's such a it's such a slow response time with better power to weight ratio you get a much you get a rig that's
[00:59:47] much more locked in the air and a rig that's much more responsive and that literally can prevent you from getting into crashes that may previously have happened you don't want to go overboard on Tiny whoops you really
[00:59:47] can't go overboard like the best power to weight ratio that we can really get is like maybe 5 to one maybe 6 to one you compare that to 5 in rigs they're up in like 10 11 12 to1 power to weight ratios to give you to get you in the ballpark right so we're still half the way of like all the other rigs that the
[00:59:47] majority of the FPV community says fly right and so and look if you've got Motors that are too powerful for you you just throttle limit them down or motor limit them down in the pids tab there's really no reason to waste money on those lower KV Motors
[00:59:47] because you can't crank them up and if you keep flying eventually you're going to outgrow those Motors so buy the higher KV Motors try them all the way opened up you might like it you're going to have better response time if you really can't handle that extra power motor limit them down fly a few hundred batteries and then you can creep it up a
[00:59:47] little bit another couple hundred batteries creep it up and you can get more power as you get better as a pilot that is really the the way to go YouTube's going to scroll me to the here it comes nope it didn't wow look at that Co power says in my honest opinion the best thing about ac0 is it
[00:59:47] will never lose vertical sink other than that it's analog with worse interference breakup if they can get hd0 down to the weight of analog which they'll never be able to I would for sure switch over to it
[00:59:47] it's I mean it's better it's better than analog but it's not that simple Chris Croft says the underground rig is still wrapped in green cob LEDs and are super bright I'm very jealous of those cob LED rigs I really got to build one one of these days power says you didn't read the whole comment it's not about keyboard commands oh okay it's about
[00:59:47] posting into a word dock right past it in a notepad so it so it doesn't jerk the scroll around you jerk the scroll around on you but I would have to do it like constantly though I'm confused Fus I would have to do that over and over and over again every time each new chat
[00:59:47] comment came in is there a way to do it is there a way to automate that is that what you're saying is there a way to like have it automatically select all and then dump into a notepad like over and over and over and over and over again that would be
[00:59:47] insane that would be so cool Lambo Drive zambo says Apple 2E that was one of my first was it a 2E or a 2C no it was a 2gs two Apple 2gs was the first computer that I spent a lot of time on I don't remember if the 2E was I think the twoe was before that EFG
[00:59:47] it was e was before that I'm caught up on chat look at that let's weigh these GemFan 20 8X two propellers that I think might be the best prop option for
[00:59:47] for 2 in 2S Bing bongs here are oh God excuse me here are all the other 2in props Cole power says no way to automate damn it without more setup I was saying to do it per periodically or if you think the chat's about to crash I got it I got it I got it if that's a really good
[00:59:47] idea I oh my dad's in the chat he says two plus there we go what's up Dad how are you why is my dad not a moderator his name needs to be blue there we go all right feel the power father feel the power you can ban
[00:59:47] people now you you and usually I say like please don't do that but what you ban whoever you want here are the I now have three of the four 2-in props that realistically you're going to run you're going to want to run if you follow this crazy
[00:59:47] basically Mobula 804 setup which I say crazy in just this is really good this is this is a this might be the best possible gorilla whoop this I I I I kind of think this is it the problem is this is the most expensive I do pop out the
[00:59:47] chat this is the most expensive gorilla whoop and when gorilla whooping there's a good chance you're going to lose it so this is but 04 on board I think you're not going to get a bigger you're not going to get any bigger than this before you get ducked in view
[00:59:47] this is a really interesting rig so here are the propellers that realistically you're going to want to run on them at the moment I've got these GemFan 2015 by blades I'm going to weigh four of these propellers 2.3 gram for four of
[00:59:47] these 2015s these 208s that just showed up which I don't know if these are going to make enough thrust but I'll let in the next couple days 1 1.26 gram good Lord that is so much
[00:59:47] lighter and then the tri blades the the GemFan 223s Tri blades are 2.87 gam good God what a what a difference in weight between these three so 2.9 gram for four of the heavier Tri
[00:59:47] blades 2.4 gram for four of the heavier by blades and then was a 1.9 no wow 1.3 gram for four of the 22 2008 by blades with enough with enough RPM these 208s will make enough power but here's here's the
[00:59:47] thing these these 2008 and I think the triblade versions of these are 2009 these are very similar to in in construction and in weight and in durability and in thickness these are just like all of the other tiny whoop props that we run the 1.2 in the 1.7 in really
[00:59:47] lightweight super thin wispy as hell low pitch these are these are this is a different build this Mobula 8 frame is big as it's thick it's heavy it's solid these 113s These are big motors these
[00:59:47] are big grunty ass Motors and so these props might not be the best match for for this kind of setup the these 20 2015s and these 2023 is might be the right match for this heavy of a frame this girthy of a
[00:59:47] motor these 208s and the 2009 Tri blades I have a funny feeling they would be a better match for like this is an 1103 maybe an 1102 on a lighter weight 2in frame I think the hglrc 2in frame is a little bit lighter but it still seems like a pretty
[00:59:47] beefy frame so these props might not they they they might be too low of a pitch right 0 08 pitch versus 15 pitch versus 23 pitch that's a huge difference there these might not be pitchy enough or they might just not be the right setup they might be too flimsy
[00:59:47] for this heavy duty of a build so I don't know we'll we'll we'll see I I'll try them and I'll let but don't don't run out and buy these quite yet but I'm excited I'm excited to try these I I was really hoping for better weather yesterday but it just rained all damn
[00:59:47] day also I didn't have the tri blades to test either and I was pissed that I forgot to order them I think what happened is I thought that I already had a set of them everyday with Runo says I had a Zenith beta Max nice
[00:59:47] all right all right my dad says I only hung a turntable from the ceiling to prevent skipping man I remember that I remember that oh Dad did you not what did you have oh what I was thinking of I thought I was talking about my my Weller soldering iron the other day it wasn't the Weller soldering
[00:59:47] iron that you hung from the rafters it was the power supply for the slot cars that's what it was you my dad built this so we had Tao slot cars as I was talking about last stream and it's comes with a stupid little wall wart Mickey Mouse ass power supply
[00:59:47] for it my dad builds this giant it was mounted to like a big piece of wood I think I might have it somewhere or maybe it made its way back to his house but he had he made this giant power supply that you could turn up and down to power The Tao slot
[00:59:47] cars and holy you could overdrive those little just like it would just be a blur cu the Tao slot cars were little man they were like 136th or 148th scale or some like they were tiny little things and you could turn the I remember like when I was a teenager I Revisited the The Tao
[00:59:47] slot car stuff and I and I set I took all the straight bits and I set them up in our patio and I made just like a big long like probably 20 foot oval 20 foot long oval and I had that adjustable power supply and I kept turning up more and more and you could just like s down to the end and then it was banked at the
[00:59:47] ending wi it was nuts when you turn the thing up and that so that's what he had mounted up in the rafters that's right it wasn't the but I I've never never told you guys that my my dad had a my dad worked at a place called Audio Lab it was a
[00:59:47] high-fi audio store and so he was into home audio that's where I kind of got it from and I remember him tell me that he had a situation where his turntable would skip cuz the floors were kind of weak or whatever and so
[00:59:47] he hung the thing from the ceiling which is apparently a thing that that high- five people do hung he I assume strings or cables up into the ceiling and then a platform and then put the turntable there and I guess as long as you don't have neighbors above you then it won't skip
[00:59:47] anymore Tao rail gun built a rail gun all right cool the the power supply that he that he that he built I don't know if he built the power supply or if he just adapted an already existing power supply but it like it had like no covers on it and there were like all there was all kind it looked very
[00:59:47] sketchy which is maybe why he put it up in the goddamn rafter so I couldn't get at it when I was a little kid and blow myself up actually I'm not caught up on chat Yanik says sorry for the third third question already it's all good brother but buy versus try versus quad blades pros and cons the more blades the more grip meaning when
[00:59:47] you come off the throttle it's going to slow down faster right like if you look at it like like if you're flying along like this it doesn't matter but as soon as you go and so if if you go really fast and then you flatten out the aerodynamic profile is this and
[00:59:47] so it doesn't matter what the propellers are but if you have any angle on the number of blades on the propeller are going to slow it down or let it Glide right when you go to zero throttle the props still spin but they just spin a little bit and so the the air the
[00:59:47] there's wind resistance right there's an aerodynamic advantage of less blades if you want it to be slidy right if you don't want it to be slidy and you want it to have more grip you want more blades the problem is more blades are less efficient and the propeller is
[00:59:47] heavier and so your response time goes to hell it's going to be more wobbly in the air it's not going to be as crisp feeling with propellers they're so cheap that you should buy by blades Tri blades and quad blades and you should run them and make up your own mind you you might not think that you
[00:59:47] want lots of grip and then you put the quad blades on you're like oh I really like this propellers are super cheap super easy to swap you should buy lots and lots and lots of different propellers and test them all because it's a really good exercise in trying to feel the differences that they make and
[00:59:47] it's also one of the easiest ways to change the performance of the way that a rig to change the way that a rig performs without having to solder without having to spend a bunch of money it's a great it's great for like retail therapy it's also great for literally getting better at detecting the differences that things make so buy
[00:59:47] a bunch try them it's a good exercise Striker says do you think I could make the 2009 Tri blades work on an open prop 103 with really high KV maybe at some point at some point the problem is going to be these propellers flying off the
[00:59:47] the motors because you don't have the the extra the two extra screws to hold the damn things on I doubt that we're at that point yet but that might be the only thing that could that that could screw that up but but you're going to need a
[00:59:47] bunch well I don't know how much RPM you need I I'll I'll let in a couple days SL cars are something I wish I was old enough that would have been in my childhood seems so cool it is pretty cool one of the revisiting so when when my parents were coming through town on their amazing winter
[00:59:47] tour with their RV we went to a slot car place up in H with the bigger slot cars Helen Georgia and what really we did this like I I did this with Maggie and the kids last year I think maybe with my dad once and it didn't strike me as obvious but this year what really struck me is that the
[00:59:47] coolest thing about slot cars is it and this is just me being a complete Motorsport lunatic but stay with me here it's allows you to just specifically focus on acceleration and breaking zones which is really really cool like you
[00:59:47] know real life Motorsport simulator you're juggling so many different things you're juggling where you set the car up breaking zones when you turn the car in what it's doing in the middle of the corner balancing
[00:59:47] the car in the the middle of the corner trying to get on the throttle early enough to get out of the corner which is the other the second thing that you really focus on with slot cars how far out you can run the car in the exit getting the RPMs just right heel toe downshifting so that you don't shock
[00:59:47] the tires to like there are so godamn many things that you have to focus on that you can only devote like 10% of your brain to each one of those things with slot cars you go and you stop and it and it and it's and it's really
[00:59:47] cool to be able to dedicate 50% of your brain to going and 50% of your brain to stopping and it and it really like makes you appreciate that and look for these these subtleties I guess you also sometimes have to like manage the throttle in the
[00:59:47] middle of the turn a little bit but like usually you're coming off the throttle on the way into the corner and then you're just hammering it on on to get it going on the way out but that that really struck me for whatever reason this time maybe because we went like twice in a row and ran
[00:59:47] a bunch of laps but that was super cool that was super super super cool to really just like look at specific points in the track and be like all right there's the the absolute latest possible spot that I can jump off the throttle so I'll try that for a couple times and monitor the lap times and all right this next time instead of just
[00:59:47] jumping all the way off the throttle I'll try to come to like 10% and see if if I can just like roll what we call like roll the car into the corner that was really really really cool to just focus on that one thing when I was a kid I I I I I just had I
[00:59:47] didn't have the wherewithal to like under I I think on the surface IR understood it because if you just hammer it they go flying off the corner so I was I was doing that I the building blocks were there but I didn't have the the maturity and or experience to like
[00:59:47] actually realize what was sort of happening that was that that was neat that was an unexpected Little Thing Ray FPV says Ali cat and I have been trying to sell CiottiFPV to check his Paypal but it's not coming up on either of our chats is you YouTube better not be well no you
[00:59:47] said well you I think YouTube is censoring chat comments with the proper spelling of PayPal you in this message raise you spelled it PA y p a y l it's misspelled somebody type PayPal into your chat into the chat I I I'm guessing that it won't show it to me that's
[00:59:47] maddening although I don't have an email I don't have an email no you guys are putting PayPal into the chat and it's coming up fine I don't have an email from PayPal but that sometimes that
[00:59:47] happens sometimes they don't they don't email me it's weird oh my God PayPal makes it so difficult to log in now everybody's making it hard to log in now oh that was way easier this time to log in usually they'll
[00:59:47] they have to do the thing in the place thank you so much for the $10 PayPal it says this is for your Healthcare fund and because you're appreciated very cool of you where's that Healthcare fund here it is gear fund two 210 goes to 220 thank
[00:59:47] you so much very very cool I actually that reminds me I got to get auto pay set up for for for my Healthcare very very cool of you guys thank you Aly cat thank you Rays oh good call my dad says show the
[00:59:47] chase video you took in Helen here you guys go I put it on the fast SSD slot cars I really wish that i' had more than just this one battery charged but one's better than none this is the WalkSnail freestyle rig 65mm 1S freestyle rig
[00:59:47] because the the no props and view rig was not bound and I couldn't get it bound but this is one of the one of the slot car tracks BMF says I love my slot car sets that's where you learn how to drift them
[00:59:47] around the corners that is that is how you're going exactly fast enough when you when you start to see it rotate a little bit that is the name of the game Bob Bruce says growing up my stepdad had built a track that was around 150 ft long with a power supply similar to what
[00:59:47] I'm talking about and it was a blast I had a tackle box full of slot cars awesome Striker says I get into the 2in 2S thing right before you I love the idea of an open prop I just haven't pulled the trigger yet and do want to find the best props there aren't many prop options so just buy all buy
[00:59:47] all of them you'll spend like 20 whole dollars Sim racing is RAB hole you can't get out of there's so much to learn and you're never you're never too fast there's always something to learn getting into over racing now as well Sim racing is super fun it's I wonder why it was it was not
[00:59:47] showing your guys comments that's super super annoying every day with Bruno says that's why I say palpe now it showed me all of the it showed me all of the messages with PayPal in them very weird but whatever we got it figured out took a minute
[00:59:47] but so there it is that's all that's all I was able to get the other oh wait no I did get another one that's right I had two batteries I had two batteries I brought four batteries but like two of them were already dead I'm going to do a little Ed with this I just haven't I was I was looking for the right song and I kind of got frustrated and I put it down and I
[00:59:47] forgot to jump back into I'm not totally happy with the footage either I I would really need to put a dozen batteries in here to get used to the to get used to where these cars are fast and how quickly they go around corners to figure out how I can actually keep
[00:59:47] them framed up two batteries was nowhere near enough but I think that this is in 60 frames so I I'll probably still do an edit and just slow everything down I should have enough little runs here and then at some point I'll get back here with a an 04 rig at 120 frames and that'll be
[00:59:47] really cool trying to catch these guys sliding through the corners in 120 frames a second that'll be absolutely gnarly in 4k so that'll be super cool it's a sh this is so this is in Helen Georgia which is like just annoyingly
[00:59:47] far away it's just like a little over an hour away it's just far enough away where it's I'm not just going to like go there on a Thursday it's got to I'll wait for them to have like an event where they're going to have a lot of people which apparently they do but I want to make sure that I do that
[00:59:47] before this place inevitably closes because it's 2025 and they're a slat car place these other two videos they also very very briefly got like a couple seconds in on the oval track I really wish that I'd flown here A bunch
[00:59:47] that's all I got the op track before it's browned out all right we are going to dive into this build here we go PayPal better not be just not sending emails anymore that was super annoying for like the oh no it went to junk why Mac Mail why would you do that why would
[00:59:47] you put a an email from PayPal in the junk oh they're putting all my paypals into junk you what are you doing this for I macmail is usually really good but man sometimes they throw some into junk mail for absolutely no
[00:59:47] reason that just should not be in there come on now oh my God they've put a whole bunch of emails in here come on now you ass bags oh my God Craig Craig Meyer thank you for the $25 PayPal on the 17th God damn it come on
[00:59:47] now oh boy this has been going on for a while dude Airbnb email Craig Meyer another $25 PayPal he says you do a great job thank you dude thank you a come on man macmail you got to get this figured out bro this ain't cool I mean I think I see where it
[00:59:47] happened I think it's because I gotta when I when I booked that VRBO a bunch of oh no this is where it happened this is where it happened for whatever reason the the PayPal application on my phone doesn't work right and I just kept trying it over and over and over again
[00:59:47] and so that generated a bunch of PayPal emails in a row and then macmail was like whoa God okay and they're like please contact customer service emails too that's this is this is where it happened look at all these emails back okay all
[00:59:47] right well nope it actually started before that screw you macmail come on I take it back you're a jerk macmail go to hell Adam morfield thank you for the $15 PayPal come on man godd damn it oh this is an email that I really need good Lord what are you putting AT&T
[00:59:47] emails in here for you idiots dude come on now sorry guys this is this is this is absolutely ridiculous spectracide definitely put that one in there that's trash don't put this email in there okay now I think we're
[00:59:47] good I put one of Craig Meyer's just random emails into here that's infinitely annoying if you guys haven't heard back from me blame Apple what Matthew Wagner sent $65 and PayPal put it into junk and I didn't see it back on the 9th what I've
[00:59:47] been getting back into 65mm whoops lately and really enjoying the streams and working on the archive too hope these buckaroos help you Matthew
[00:59:47] thank you so much I'm so sorry I don't even know if you're in the chat you might not even be hearing this right now but if you are I am so sorry that
[00:59:47] that I I didn't give you a shout out for now this is this is pretty frustrating wow super cute Russians oh okay hold on this let let me let me give me a second let me just maybe we're okay now every day with Bruno says there's
[00:59:47] one in Marietta what Atlanta slot car Raceway no way that's insane Kevin Summers says blew up an analog AO in a 65 this weekend what's your current preferred analog 5 aamp AO still the 2g4 what' you blow up wh which which AI would you blow up dude I need to know
[00:59:47] Weeble has a ton of the 2G 4S oh my my Sky order came in today too oh wow this computer is about to its pants I ordered one of the little battery trays for the qx7 just nice to have for doublea's I ordered what I thought was a set of Red Stick ends but it was just
[00:59:47] the one and I got my qx7 case and it's absolutely gigantic I I I had no idea it would be this big I'm I it's I'm not going to use it's too big I don't understand this is this is huge this is absolutely massive like
[00:59:47] well I guess it doesn't look that I'm holding the qx7 in front of the camera there but like there you go it's too big and it's also thick as hell if if I ever have to ship a qx7 somewhere though this is absolutely what I will use so I'm not going to sell this or anything but I'm not
[00:59:47] going to use this in the way that I thought that I was going to use it but if I ever need to ship the qx7 somewhere this is absolutely what I will do it in because this is totally custom cut foam and it's thick as like you could throw this off a building and it would more than likely survive so I'm kind of glad that I have
[00:59:47] this it gives me a spot to put like the third backup qx7 that I have somewhere so it's not wasted but I I did I just didn't I didn't think about how big this was going to be that's what she said
[00:59:47] 2g4 actually a pair of them Jesus one of the bad vs VTX other lost and ESC channel if if you want you can go come on to the BetaFPV Matrix train with me it weighs what the oh come on Canon you
[00:59:47] morons Jesus you can try the Matrix AIO it seems it's pretty durable but and it's cheap they're only like 40 bucks I think the 2G G 4S are like 75 I'm just I don't have a thousand batteries through one of the Matrix aiio to be able to say that it's definitely durable what I mean
[00:59:47] but if if you just want to if you just want to try something different you can you can certainly do that okay whenever you're ready take your time Canon there's nothing I'm not doing nothing I'm just you
[00:59:47] know trying to use your products in a professional manner which is kind of supposed to be your thing it's kind of your only job is to make products that are used in professional settings wow okay is it is today finally the day
[00:59:47] is today that I'm for is is today the day that I am forced to move away from Canon cameras nope it's not not quite yet oh but YouTube's about to the bed that's pretty fun Matthew Wagner says as a date
[00:59:47] reference I did a pay I did a PayPal on February 9th but I haven't C all the streams since then so I assume that I missed any shout out
[00:59:47] February 9th well that might have been the one that I just gave you the shout out on I think okay I'm tempted to just wait for YouTube to bomb because it's about to so I'm just going to leave this Frozen there it is awesome way to go YouTube way to also have something that
[00:59:47] is intended to be used in a professional setting but is so poorly designed that using it in a professional setting is a living nightmare May when YouTube crashes it's takes us webcam with it they have a symbiotic
[00:59:47] relationship it's just great I can't tell you guys how much fun it is to fight with this every goddamn live stream it really it just warms my heart every time makes me really want to go out and spend a bunch of money on Canon
[00:59:47] stuff my God zarad says if you have a choice between a three-blade prop or a two-blade prop is one typically quieter than the other three blades are usually actually quieter two blades are a little bit noisy but on like a tiny whoop it's barely
[00:59:47] noticeable the it's a different sound though saying like louder and quieter is kind of is is kind of tough because it's a different sound like you want to remember that like the the decibel level of the Quad is not necessarily the problem it's the
[00:59:47] pitch the the really high pitch screaming noise is what people don't like and is what draws attention and sometimes you get that more from a triblade than a byblade but in terms of like raw volume usually the by blades are
[00:59:47] louder I think but props are cheap get them both do your own testing because every frame is different every frame has a different aerodynamic situation and so you might on your specific setup your specific all up weight the by blades might be quieter
[00:59:47] you really do have to kind of just try it but luckily props are cheap so get a bunch and find the cheapest C Jo says why haven't you upgraded from the qx7 because there are no radios that have done anything better than the qx7 and it
[00:59:47] fits my hands the best and so very high on my list of priorities is flying as good as possible and a transmitter that fits your hand hands really well is one of the best ways that you can fly as good as you possibly can and so until one of these
[00:59:47] transmitters comes out that has some actual improvement over the qx7 I'll and or fits my hands as good I'll stick with it plus they're cheap and I have a bunch of them and this way I can spend money on like other
[00:59:47] stuff Kevin summer says one of each very cool mcmas says who has the Matrix I have no idea Kevin have you found the Matrix somewhere let mcmas know yanic says what about the newish Newbie drone 3.1 AIO Matrix is sold out mostly air 5 in1 is too fragile the I
[00:59:47] I really can't recommend the the Newbie drone AOS anymore I'm not hearing great things about their customer service recently and they've got some very weird Crystal oscillator problems with elrs they've ALS they're also
[00:59:47] using a tiny little OSD chip and so your video quality is going to be significantly worse if you're on Amazon analog rather also they use kind of specific but like not really proprietary motor plugs they're just the only ones that well I guess emac uses these little motor plugs but like just
[00:59:47] don't do it just don't do a newbie drone AIO until they figure out some stuff RC thrill says what about the boxer radio not a good fit or just not better than the qx7 just not better Just none of these TR like the the qx7 I will say this the the new g12 or
[00:59:47] whatever the hell it is has Nomad built in which is pretty cool and so for the first time like okay maybe that transmitter but it's not going to be big enough I can already tell and they also use those stupid ass tiny little switches up on the top
[00:59:47] which is absolutely ridiculous if somebody puts out a transmitter with Nomad built in and proper Big Boy switches on the top that's a big transmitter that's wide that actually fits my big long gangly hands then
[00:59:47] maybe but like even like having Nomad on board I I I still kind of don't care it just it's like running a module is fine and now with Nomad I I have this in here cuz I was testing something the other day
[00:59:47] but like this is now done like the the module is in here I don't have to take it out it does 2.4 it does 900 I'm going to be moving all of my crossfire over to elrs it doesn't have a color screen but like what do you need a color screen for they're not they're not taking the one amazing opportunity that
[00:59:47] they have with the color screens which is to put a stupid little VTX analog receiver in here that'll display video on the color screen they they refuse to do that for some insane reason and so there's no need for a color screen we
[00:59:47] don't use models anymore so you don't need that silly row of buttons right like these these Hall sensor gimbals are great they're totally fine like okay the the all CNC gimbals when you smash into the end of the gimbal travel it feels a little bit better but it's really isn't right you get to the end of the travel and that's that there's no
[00:59:47] benefit of it being CNC right I've had I've done thousands and thousands and thousands of batteries through these Hall sensor gimbals and they don't die what else is there I've got a couple knobs that I actually use I've got all the switches that I need
[00:59:47] and they're big boy switches that I I can actually hit with my ban hands like do better radio Master like innovate stop putting them in Dumb colors stop just randomly changing the shape stop putting rows of buttons that
[00:59:47] nobody's going to use across the front like figure something out how it's just it's insane to me how many different transmitters there are that do the exact same thing RC Thrills misspelled my name
[00:59:47] but I just happened to see it whyo Nomad what will the 900 MHz do everything that Crossfire does which is basically that 900 mahts is a longer wavelength and so it will travel farther and it will bounce better it'll bounce differently and so for me in like you
[00:59:47] know when I'm working so the best example of this is the the Criterium Cup races the the live broadcast stuff where I'm in the middle of a city bouncing my signal off as many buildings as I possibly can to try to chase these
[00:59:47] cyclists as deep as I can to cover the static cameras that will either come out of focus or the camera will go down or something weird will happen so the the Criterium Cup race in Miami for example on on Miami
[00:59:47] Beach the the the camera on turn four which was like two blocks to the right of me went down and so now they don't have a single decent shot between turn three and turn four
[00:59:47] I was on well it's they're still on CrossFire and with Crossfire I was able to punch like half the way down so two blocks over I was able to bounce that 900 mahz signal half a block down to try to cover this camera and the the
[00:59:47] director of that who was like a kind of famous live broadcast director afterwards was like dude thank you so and hey tries to bring me on to everything now he's like you you saved my ass so big like I cannot believe what you just did to help us out put this and this was like National cycling League
[00:59:47] this was like a really big deal at the time and so the the 900 megahertz was able to just like really punch down far on that block I've tested elrs at these criter not that specific one but other Criterium races and elrs 2.4 it will not the testing
[00:59:47] I've done so far it will not punch quite as far as 900 me htz will just because it's a it's a tighter wavelength and so in a professional setting Nomad is everything because it gives you all the benefits of 2.4 and all the benefits of
[00:59:47] 900 and it switches on its own you don't have to with it you just plug it in and go and I've literally been waiting for this exact technology to come off of Crossfire folks that have been around for the last couple years will know like so many people have asked me like why are you still running Crossfire why not go to elrs and
[00:59:47] forever it's been the what I do with a lot of my stuff every once in a while the the range does become really important and the lower latency is not not as important as the extra as the extra range so there's that
[00:59:47] that's the that's the main reason and I knew that at some point elrs would combine their 2.4 and their 900 so I just played the waiting game and it's kind of paid off I I I thought that that I I didn't maybe I didn't really think
[00:59:47] all the way through it but I I just didn't realize that I could have moved everything to elrs and then the Nomad would have still worked because it still works on just 2.4 but then I would have had to move a bunch of stuff off of the 2.4 onto the 900 or onto the Dual Band receivers so it would have been extra
[00:59:47] work what I mean so Bren Zan says qx7 400k B radio Master 5 megab and elrs 500 want 921 to prevent tet your lost reports 400k B that's without the little chip though right I have the little chips installed for the the higher B rate is there a and I I didn't think think that there was a significant
[00:59:47] difference in latency from that that bod rate this is the first I've well elrs 500 Herz once 921 I don't I don't run the 500 Herz I I always want more range than that so there I misspoke earlier what I me what I should have said is for me the qx7 does
[00:59:47] everything that I need it and none of these new transmitters do anything that I that that benefits me or that I really care about for Racers different story
[00:59:47] for for you guys different story but for me the qx7 does everything that I need it to and hi little boy you haven't come to visit me like this in a little while you have to pee don't you what I'm going to do it I'm going to force you
[00:59:47] up here get your little ass stop it stop fighting me why are you so mean to me Brandon says I don't like the color screen but oh my God the inav Telemetry script looks like a PL cockpit we don't really need it but I like black and white but for BetaFlight we don't really need it my dad says papotti
[00:59:47] signing off check your PayPal night all oh my god dad thank you I hope you're still here my dad sent me $50 via Paypal he says Maggie's birthday add PayPal add PayPal to your contacts on the mac oh oh right if you have a contact it'll always let the emails
[00:59:47] through good call Kevin Su says did you try the flywoo Goku versatile f411 1S 5 amp I didn't I think cuz it's expensive maybe because the the motor plugs are in a weird spot there was a reason I had I didn't get it Brandon says the latency differences in the B is slight but 500 HZ might have issues
[00:59:47] if you use telemeter at the same time but for you I'm sure it's working fine I I I don't know if I'll ever use 500 HZ 250 is is greatthis dog is so
[00:59:47] knotted up they're going to here this is is they're going to shave this little bastard down on Friday he is so matted up so this is the last time you'll see him nice and fluffy he is going to look so dumb after Friday when they shave him down he looks awful look at how thick he looks with
[00:59:47] all this fluff stop whining oh God why are you wet did you just pee on me what are you doing what's happening is this what you want is this good for you it's not very good for me oh oh
[00:59:47] is this is this your deal now do you want to answer the chat comments what do I have to do to get you to run this live stream you stink bro what have you been getting into oh he's done no no he's being
[00:59:47] nice 70 bucks but no Mot plugs 70 bucks is a bit much oh God Boondock Striker says most of the racers only fly in 500 at the races 250 just flying around the the difference in range is unbelievable between 500 and 250 oh beat him he needs to be beaten he's a bad boy he's freaking out look at him he
[00:59:47] loves it he loves being beaten have you seen a dog that loves being beaten more than this one all right get out of here buddy oh c right in the J right in the mcjiblets it's 11:54 and I haven't even started this build yet no surprises there
[00:59:47] the I've got raw wires and you can't solder direct to this unfortunately to the to the' 04 and so that's pretty annoying I got to pull this apart Teddy can't you pick a toy that's a little bit less loud this drives people with headphones insane do what headphones are Teddy what headphones are
[00:59:47] you know what headphones are buddy no no he doesn't those of you wearing headphones I tried I I tried to reason with them but he's not interested he's not interested in your in your headphone
[00:59:47] use I might be able to switch these grommets out to a lower profile grommet that's pretty exciting oh boy I can't believe I'm going to have to solder these tiny little pads again I was hoping I would just I was hoping I could just direct
[00:59:47] solder these to the 04 but that is not the case it'll be worth it though this thing is going to be ridiculous th this is this is going to be a really really really nice build I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to cut this or make a wire I think I should probably make a wire and not ch CHP this one
[00:59:47] up to direct solder it that seems a bit much so there's that which I need to do before I do anything else now that I think about it so that's kind of silly I also need to figure out how I'm
[00:59:47] going to stack these on each other which I should have done while it was in the frame but I guess I could just kind of do it now so the the tallest point on this BetaFPV 12 amp is this plug header here so let's
[00:59:47] take a look at how I'm going to stack this to get it as close as possible but not too close this should be super easy because the bottom of the 04 light is like hilariously flat but there are a couple spots
[00:59:47] that have chips so there's a there is a little set of capacitors here I don't want to do it I don't think I want to do it there so that's not a good rotation this is the way that I have it rotated on the other one so this might be a good
[00:59:47] option let me think about it from a plug header standpoint so rearwards so if I mount this thing the bind button is in the back the antenna plug is here actually let me look at the let me
[00:59:47] look at the canopy well no the canopy is so opened that it really kind of doesn't matter oh boy this dog is going bananas he's just doing laps up in here get that toy buddy Get It Go off some of that
[00:59:47] energy Kevin Su says no pads under the plug header for the 04 light maybe but I'm not breaking the plug header off to find out oh boy buddy oh my God he's running oh he's crazed it's cuz I was hitting him
[00:59:47] Brandon says there's only one orientation for this 04 light you mount it so that so the right side is bottom left what does that mean the right side is bottom left can't tell if messing with me or
[00:59:47] serious trying to kind of like look at this one for inspiration it's got this big old USBC on it where can I put that USBC also like kind of curious to try different orientations to see how I like it best I'm really tempted to put the
[00:59:47] plug header right here and which is right where these wires are so I could run like 1 cim of wires up to this damn thing that's like really really really tempting oh what's funny about that orientation that's the same
[00:59:47] orientation as the the Mobula 704 oh no that's kind of funny so if I put it in the same exact orientation this wire run is like nothing which is really cool that'll save a little bit of weight
[00:59:47] o that is tempting as hell and then the the antenna plug is here which works really well because it just runs right up and it's kind of the perfect length it also gets the the antenna to sit like this right if if the antenna
[00:59:47] plug is over here the antenna will be sideways if the antenna plug is here this part of the antenna will be rotated around like a little hook like a little hooker I thought you were messing with me you bastard G to do it like this this is this is outrageous
[00:59:47] this is kind of cool I'm going to have the shortest wire run in all the land although I might not want the wire run to be that short because I've had problems in the past with breaking these pads off and so I kind of want to send the
[00:59:47] wires inwards right what can I do if I send the wires inwards so I can put I can put the plug header over here if I put the plug header here USBC is in the front UFL is here that'll be fine for
[00:59:47] the antenna USBC up front this guy is on here and then the main chip is above the tallest jst Pad but we'll have plenty of clearance there and then the camera plug here is on the side and so let's look at this it's just
[00:59:47] going to tuck down in there this might be the way to do it here this might be the way to do it the wire run goes forward and it tucks right in there and it just makes a little angle I think I'm going to try it this
[00:59:47] way this does matter by the way the the way that you Orient this stuff absolutely matters and it is really well worth it to actually think this out rather than just slapping it together and hoping that it doesn't
[00:59:47] implode I'm going to do it like this I'm going to do it like this and so to keep this wire run nice and short let me take this white wire so the white wire is the longest and I'm going to run this up and then I'm going to assume that it goes the
[00:59:47] farthest and I'm going to chop it here so that I have a little bit of a representation for how long the wire run needs to be okay cool all right so the white wire is going to be the one that I use as an example kicking the soldering iron
[00:59:47] on I like these because they have the black plugs on them let me let me see how many wires is this one two three four five six do I have a plug header with six pin and a black no no what about in here what about in this
[00:59:47] kit no all right so it's going to be a white plug header okay so I need red black and then RX and TX so I need a six Banger here one two three four five six cool make sure it's the right one yep it is so we need red
[00:59:47] black I never use this middle well no let me use all these long ones up first because I absolutely never use these long ones there's my black I do want to save one red long one so I'm All Out so and then we'll
[00:59:47] go red black red what colors are on this build blue we'll do a blue for either the RX or the TX and then what other colors are going to be in this build pink blue my choices are yellow or green
[00:59:47] let's go green blue and green red blue green there we go amazing all right cool and so that's all that we need Chris Croft says flat side is down my USB plug is front right front right that's how I'm going to do it on this one front right that's not how I did it on the
[00:59:47] on the other build I'm super bothered that it's going to be a white jst plug instead of these cool black ones but not a whole lot I can do with it I literally don't have any of these black jst plugs and I'm not willing to sacrifice this at some point I'll have enough of these where I'll be able to I'll I'll be
[00:59:47] able to justify sacrificing one but that day has not arrived yet okay so let me just make sure there's jst 1.0 and there's 1.25 this is the correct one okay solding Iron's up the temperature let's get some flux on here let's get the nerd goggles on
[00:59:47] we'll get a little bit of work done it is after 12 o'clock already and so I'm not going to do much here but I'll get the party started a little bit at least not that there's a whole lot to
[00:59:47] do all right we are fluxed let's get these wires removed we've got ground voltage RX TX and right it's full voltage and then that's ground Okay cool so these wires are done don't reuse wires like these they've been I'm going to save this white one because I'm using it for the length but don't reuse
[00:59:47] these wires get rid of them they've been on a build they've been bent a bunch there are inevitably internal strands of wire that are already broken get rid of them I know that they're the perfect length and you're going to be tempted to save them but don't trust me it's not it's not worth it they'll break and they'll screw you over and you'll be
[00:59:47] pissed so black ground let's just get these kind of cut down to length ah nah I'll do I'll just hold them up on the board to get them to length
[00:59:47] so for example we'll put this in here well wait a second what I might as well just start to put them into the plug header and then I can I can really get the lengths dialed so we'll look at this black plug header here I'll do red
[00:59:47] first so with this down red is going to be all the way on the left so let's do that I don't need the second ground I think the gray wire on here is a second ground and then I believe there's also an sbus wire I don't need either one of
[00:59:47] those so here we go all right there's our voltage next to the voltage is ground really helps to have magnification when you're doing this to be able to actually see what the hell you're doing because there's a little latch that needs to click on these things or they're going to pop out and you can literally see the when you have
[00:59:47] magnification when you have nerd goggles on you can actually see it ouch hair just got caught in the the lamp and you can push it all the way in there and make sure that the latch is going to catch which does matter RX and TX it doesn't matter what color I'm just going
[00:59:47] to go I do need to look up where they are on the plug header though I think that I think it tells me in the in the little book that they give you with the with the 04 air unit don't they I think this is actually where I had to look it up yep so it's okay voltage ground
[00:59:47] RX TX white is rx gray is TX and then it's a another ground and then it's SBS that's it so RX and then TX RX gray RX GRE green Green for RX let's do that although it's TX on the other side so it really doesn't
[00:59:47] matter but there's a chance I'll remember that green for RX in this plug it's not a chance I'll remember that all right the easy thing if you don't have magnification is to put them in there and just give them a little tug you'll feel the wire moves back and forth and when you give it a little tug
[00:59:47] you should feel the little latch kind of click or engage or whatever and then we've got blue for t X again you got to get it all the way in there it's super important it'll look it's all the way in there but it won't be like the the the crimped
[00:59:47] part when it disappears it's still not quite far enough it's got to go all the all the all the all the way in there all right so we're good and so now what I'm going to do is plug this guy in pins
[00:59:47] up all right so we're plugged in wrap these down real tight like here and get the wires kind of straightened out and now we can see what the actual wire run needs to be and so I put that
[00:59:47] there I'll be super insane and do them one at a time the ground pad is the very first pad so let's do that all right and so that's the ground pad there so what I like to do is pull it tight and then push it in a little bit so that you have a little tiny bit extra and so it's ground and then it's
[00:59:47] voltage and then green is rx that's going to go to TX those are going to need to cross over which is kind of annoying even better what I'm going to do is I'm just going to run them on the bottom like this there there's a straight path here there's a nice flat path for these to run and so
[00:59:47] I'm just going to trace them on this flat path and they need to go all the way into the corner so I'm just going to go like this and on there right there's that straight path that they're running and then they need to make this
[00:59:47] turn green to TX the ground pad is the first pad so that needs to cross over and this way they'll have just the right amount green to TX stop it there we go and and
[00:59:47] then yep all right and so now we can just pull them down a little bit here again this is being pretty pedantic but sometimes on these really tight builds this actually does matter so I'm just used to doing it this way so I'm just going to keep doing it this way and there we've got a little bit
[00:59:47] extra built in we've got them sitting exactly kind of right what this prevents is the wires like getting all janked up and becoming a lot taller in these pads than they really need to be so they're in the right
[00:59:47] order they've got a little bit of extra wire here and so now we're good we can just cut these straight across giving it a little tiny bit extra but not too much extra and now we've got the perfect wire lengths here all right so these pads are absolutely minuscule and so I'm going to strip
[00:59:47] off like nothing I'm going to strip off the absolute most minimal amount of the silicone insulation from these guys I'm also going to be soldering these going inwards on the board I'm not going to be hanging this wire off the
[00:59:47] end of the PCB because I don't want it to get hit by the by the frame by the duct all right so there's one at this point I don't need to be moving this board around anymore so let's get it unplugged and I'm going to put this in front of the keyboard so that I don't forget to do the E6000
[00:59:47] on the camera that needs to get done tonight so that it can cure overnight so I got one stripped I got another stripped a second here there we go just taking the tiniest little amount off
[00:59:47] of silicone insulation and then pulling the silicone back a little bit with my fingernail we've got TX on blue and RX on green that's RX and TX on the VTX side they are going to go to the opposites on the flight controller so the green RX on the VTX is going to go to TX on the
[00:59:47] flight controller R is for receive T is for transmit one wire one end of the wire needs to transmit the other end of the wire needs to receive otherwise it will not go into full power mode and you will not get OSD
[00:59:47] which sucks all right there we go looking good just the tiniest little bits removed we can now put this into the Omni fixo get these wires tinned real quick where's my solder I didn't really end up using this piece of white wire but it was a good
[00:59:47] thought right clean the tip of the soldering iron put the part of my hand down on the desk so I'm not all shaky feed the solder in from the top with the soldering iron on the bottom we're going to Tin the tip of the soldering iron to get a little blob on there and then that's going to make it
[00:59:47] transfer heat a little bit better be as quick as you can when you do this the longer you sit here doing this the more solder is going to chase up the wire and you don't necessarily want that we go all right all four are
[00:59:47] done and this side right here and so now for the easy part not really does this work I got this camera is like kind of angled down more you guys can kind of see what I'm doing right Okay
[00:59:47] so we've got I'm going to go from left to right so the green RX is going to go to the TX and so that's the first one that we're going to solder down we're going to do that from the inside what's kind of cool about that is I can just put this down here and then I can come in here with
[00:59:47] the tweezers and if you grab the wire just right you can push the tips of the tweezers into the AIO just give a little bit of a Down angle on the wire and that'll get the wire held perfectly and since you're pushing the tweezers into the aiio you hold it completely still and you get such a nice
[00:59:47] little solder joint let me just clean the tip of the soldering iron real quick and you'll get this beautiful solder joint with like no work at all because you're holding the whole thing down so there we go green is on
[00:59:47] T1 now we're going to take blue and that's going to go onto R1 I was not practicing what I was preaching there I was being lazy and moving it around let me do it right this time there we
[00:59:47] go all right almost there there it is now it's nice and flat on there all right and then so we've got Battery Plus which is the the full battery voltage which is what we want CU this is 2S that one went
[00:59:47] over goes over so this one's going to go over so I'm going to take red here and we're going to go to the Battery Plus which is right next to these Two Fellas here hold it down get it with the
[00:59:47] tweezers you just you want to get these wires as flat as you possibly can all right almost there we go beautiful and then the ground is a couple pads down right over here
[00:59:47] all right boy these pads are small there it is make sure it's not bridging to the next pad over just remove a little bit of solder from these other pads there we go cool all right here's how you want this to look let's see if I can get this well I'm not even going to try to get this camera to autofocus I'm just
[00:59:47] going to go into the cam camo Studio software and force it to manually focus manual focus as macro as it'll go and so you want those wires to be flat flat flat flat see
[00:59:47] that and this way they're not just going to be like all over each other let's see if it'll if I can use the 5x Loop ew what's that in there what is that blood hold on Jesus Christ
[00:59:47] clean this out a little bit okay see if this will work no I don't think it's really any better I think maybe it was close enough for you guys to have seen it I physically can't hold the goddamn thing ah there you go you can really see how flat those are that's how you get
[00:59:47] them nice and strong and they're not in the way of anything when you do that hopefully set this back to autofocus all right cool so soldering is all done as you I've got a little bit of extra little bit of extra cable here let me just let me just check this
[00:59:47] real quick let me make sure I don't have too much extra cable on here so I'm talking about doing it now see the bottom of this board is so flat we got all the space in the world and there's just this this is completely fine so this is it's running up onto here
[00:59:47] so that's it's good to go Loops right up plugs right in so when it's plugged in the wires are going to look on the bottom there which is completely fine that is just enough they they C they have to cross over each other which annoys the hell out of me but they're
[00:59:47] crossing over each other in spots that are no taller than this jst plug so that's going to be completely fine and we've got a little bit of extra cable length maybe enough cable length where if I wanted to rotate it to a different side I might have enough it
[00:59:47] might actually just be able to reach although actually I think it's exactly not long enough if I decide to orient it differently if I ran it over here though it would be way too much so there I did a terrible job there I should have made him a little bit longer so it would have reached over here if I decided to change the orientation or maybe a little bit
[00:59:47] shorter but whatever we live and we learn I should have made it a little bit longer but I wasn't I wasn't really thinking about that wacky little lens cover they give you
[00:59:47] interesting cool so I need to when I say E6000 this is how you need to prep your 04 you need to run a little tiny bead of E6000 right around the base here you need to run it down here exactly at the tip of this screwdriver right down around there and then turn this corner and on the other side you want to run it
[00:59:47] the length this second board here so this is the plug up top so this plug disconnects from this middle board this middle board is the way that it's connected to this main board is kind of fragile so you need to beef this up so you take your thin tipped E6000 you
[00:59:47] bloopo just between these two you need to strengthen up this middle board to this bottom board and then also when you when you plug your UFL in you need to E6000 the UFL down cuz this little UFL is not super well soldered down to the
[00:59:47] pad so this UFL can pop off as well so the easiest thing to do is just to plug your antenna in when you're ready to go and then just do a Big Blob not a Big Blob but a little blob of E6000 like I did here to hold that thing down cool that's how you prep th those
[00:59:47] are the two most common failure points at this moment for the 04 hopefully they'll be the only two but I don't know about that and what I'm actually going to do I'm actually G to add a little bit of solder to the one side of this UFL
[00:59:47] that's kind of the other way of doing it the the one side of the UFL has a bunch of like liquid electric tape I'm not going to with that side I'm just going to hit this close side boy there are some components that are really close to that but I think I can maybe get in
[00:59:47] there and strengthen this one side up oh that is tight I fair warning I might bail on this but let me let me just see what it looks like under magnification when I bring the tip of the soldering iron in I'm going to do this flat on the the silicone pad here so that it doesn't
[00:59:47] move and I am not going to talk you through this because I don't want the vibrations from my voice I'm just going to try to knock this out and so I'm going to use the sharp part of the soldering iron and I'm going to Tin
[00:59:47] the tip of the soldering iron away from this board that's too much that's too much all right super clean let me actually just see let me get in here I'm going to hit the
[00:59:47] flux woo okay you also have to be really careful that you don't get solder on the UFL pad that is fine that's fine cool that's going to be a little bit stronger I'm still not going to rely on it I'm still going to do the The Blob of v6000 on top of
[00:59:47] the UFL plug but the madtech has a video about that with a me ifying rig so check that out and it'll make a lot more sense cool so we're good to go I need the E6000 this camera I there's really nothing else that I can do here this
[00:59:47] build is good to go though I will wait for that E6000 to dry and then I just have to plug it in here I have to cram the camera into one of the extra canopies that HappyModel sent me and then I'll just drop everything into this frame with these RC and power 10218 or
[00:59:47] 19,000 and this was a working rig on this I might need to change these grommets out but this was a working rig so I should be able to just plug this in plug the motors in and away we go and we'll have an ' 04 1.6 in prop rig very
[00:59:47] similar to the WalkSnail rig it should fly just as good which was pretty damn good and the the most the thing I'm looking forward to most is comparing the weight although I can do that now we can compare the weight right now so let's see what the difference is going to be between a 1.6 in and a 2 in
[00:59:47] 04 build I've got the props on here I'm missing a couple things like the well no I have the screws right here I can I think it can give you the exact weight so the two this camera died again you goddamn piece of
[00:59:47] so the 2 in I wish I'd taken a weight of the Mobula 7 1S out of the box but the 2in builds is 46 46.8 gram this setup there's the frame the motors the props 04 here's the AIO here is a set of screws to hold the canopy
[00:59:47] down and then I need the actual canopy too and here comes the canopy we're at 32.2 without the canopy with the canopy 33.1 is that everything can oh no no antenna antenna antenna
[00:59:47] 33.8 so 33.8 for a 1.6 in rig versus wow 46.8 with a 2in build that is outrageous that is a hell of a weight difference and just think there's that weight difference on the same I'm running basically the same batteries not really I'm doing the 420mah batteries on this 2in rig I'm
[00:59:47] doing really like the 300 and the 350s but I am sort of running the same batteries on these guys that is a huge weight weight difference my God cool this is going to be fun I cannot wait to fly these two back to
[00:59:47] back I'm really interested to see what the difference in runtime is because these 2in props are a lot bigger than these 1.6s and I mean I know it's only a04 difference but that's huge that's the same difference of 1.2 versus
[00:59:47] 1.6 right and 65 millim rigs are way different than 75s so this will be super cool I'm pretty excited about this all right AO is good to go this needs a little bit of E6000 loving and then wait for it to
[00:59:47] cure and away we go thanks for hanging friends Badger FPV says good morning from Denmark Cole PO says white bt3 plus Sharpie equals black bt3 nice and we're good to go unless the chat died oh God it's late I'm going go
[00:59:47] get something to eat friends I'm starving I hope you enjoyed hopefully next time there'll be some flight footage it depends on if the weather
[00:59:47] cooperates have an excellent night I'll see you guys on Friday at 7 o'clock be good friends C fpv.one up in like 10 days so if you're on the $3 a month tier at least jump on the $5 month tier if you never try you'll never
[00:59:47] win two extra dollars and if you win you'll win like $50 worth of tiny whoop stuff it's well worth it three bucks to five bucks you can do it Love You by here's here's a little bit more flight footage with the 2-in rig yes it's blown out I I had it Overexposed but it flies the same
[00:59:47] regardless of how Overexposed it is see you a n
