[00:02:23] hey friends my name is Aaron Ciotti I forgot to turn all the things on welcome to maintenance Monday fart bags Monday flying farting fixing today with the 3D printer just blasting away
[00:02:41] behind me I I'll be super interested to hear from headphone users how annoying it is to have that on I don't plan on doing it all the time but I wanted to do it at least once to see
[00:02:54] how sort of obnoxious it is I'm printing green right now I'm doing like one one color a day I did a sheet of propod in green which just looked perfect in this color and now I'm
[00:03:10] doing a whole bunch of camera mounts in s smart green TPU really Canon really all ready all ready you're gonna you're going to do this I have an eBay alert for a Sony
[00:03:31] a5100 I think that's going to be what I replace Canon with oh come on you jackass please work please oh my god there it goes got it thanks for joining me Q&A of
[00:03:57] course as always and we're gonna I've been messing around changing settings on the 3D printer we'll talk about that for a minute I finally tried smooth edges
[00:04:12] which I can't really recommend you'll see why we're going to be putting a canopy on the Newbie drone hummingbird race that isn't insane that isn't this madness we are going to probably take
[00:04:40] the the Top Spin Motors off of this guy and we're definitely going to measure them but I think the to the the new tiny whoop project Top Spin Motors are going to be coming off
[00:04:54] the 04 1S cinematic rig we going to put the 40,000 KV Matrix CO3 rig up in the air get the camera so that it's rotated flat and then I'm going to try this new White
[00:05:14] E6000 on it to glue the camera in so that it doesn't continue to rotate every time I crash and then why do I have this sitting out there I forget why I have this sitting out
[00:05:28] maybe I'll oh we might put the the Top Spin Motors on on this rig I think I might take the motors off this and put them on the Cinematic rig we'll see we'll see
[00:05:39] so we'll do some flying of these as we switch things out and just kind of a lowkey live stream hope everybody's cool with that if
[00:05:52] not render was first Frank D was second 70 Capital C skull 901 doubles FPV yanuk Adam Denzel the terrible metal dirt skin Douglas 6 Mr mey RC Thrills every day with Bruno Morton upshot Tito bones
[00:06:06] Brett Anderson Frosty beos rid and grinds Omar Perez Kyle Saunders Brent Anderson 70 again bird person Morton upshot skull 661 Cole Powers drones
[00:06:22] in what's up friends if you want to talk directly to me type CiottiFPV in your chat message or do a Super Chat is the spot where you can support me lots of different ways to do that
[00:06:38] patreon as it says helps me the most buy some fun stuff off of etsy every single Etsy order gets a prop ofile thrown in in a random color oh also speaking of free
[00:06:53] stuff I've got a whole bunch of these goggle straps with cats on them if you want one do an Etsy order buy anything on Etsy and I'll throw one of these in super high quality made by
[00:07:11] Pretty Fly that was then change they then change their name to Broken prop crew but it's got a bunch of little pink and sky blue cats on it free for you just got to get you just
[00:07:29] got to get me to send you a package and then I can just throw this in there I've got a whole bunch I've got like I don't know looks like five or six of them so let me
[00:07:40] know just like do an Etsy order and in the notes just say like cat goggle strap me there you go cat goggle strap me that's what you have to say if you don't word it in that same way I'll send you
[00:07:58] human feces instead you've been warned I went out to get a so little Boo's phone has is is the bed and so i' I've been dragging my feet on doing this but I I finally took her out today
[00:08:22] to get a replacement I I'm gonna upgrade her line and then I'm G to take that phone and I'm G to give her my phone so that I can get something with a little bit of a better camera
[00:08:37] because I use the phone to do all the thumbnails this is an old ass SE as you can see by the single tiny little camera lens and the fact that it's red so she's going to get this
[00:08:52] phone I looked around a bunch and realized that the iPhone 12 and 13 mini are actually smaller than this which is what I want this is already too big I I would rather have something smaller
[00:09:05] I went to the Apple Store in the local mall like I swear to God it was only like a month ago and they had a bunch of the older phones for like two extra doll a month if you if you did a
[00:09:17] contract and so I assumed that they would have the 12 and the 13 mini there I go out today and they don't have any old phones the they've apparently did continued all of those old phones
[00:09:31] and like the oldest phone that they have is the 15 which is gigantic and so I am super frustrated you can just buy like a 13 mini or a 12 mini but they're hundreds of
[00:09:48] dollars our family plan I've got us with we're I think we're all out of contract and so if you go back onto a contract you save hundreds of dollars and it's like we're not going to leave
[00:10:07] AT&T so it doesn't matter right and so buying a 13 mini just outright is just insane it's just an insane waste of money and so I don't know what to do I'm what I didn't try is just I
[00:10:27] didn't just go to apple.com and see if you can get no see they it's like apple wide they they they no longer sell any iPhones older than the 15 and there are no minis the the the the most recent
[00:10:45] mini was the 13 so I don't know what the hell to do man like I'm admittedly tempted to just find a 13 mini and buy it and just not be in contract but that is just such an un believable waste of
[00:11:00] money I mean I I I certainly don't want our bill like no matter what I get it's going to make the it's going to make the bill go up a little bit but like I think on like a I think on like an iPhone 15
[00:11:18] which it looks like is the oldest you can get oh see this is on a stick right here $30 extra dollars a month see that's not happening this sucks dude this is this is not cool that they've
[00:11:33] just taken all of the older phones away that is super shitty man to get like like when I went in there a month ago or whatever it was it was I swear to God it was like three extra
[00:11:48] dollars a month to get like another iPhone SE I think that's what this one is on a on a 2-year contract which I almost did but then I was like no let me wait and do a and at
[00:12:00] least like look around and see if there's anything else so that's my punishment if anybody happens to know how to get a 13 mini with a like as an upgrade let me know but I don't I don't
[00:12:18] really think there's a way to do it I went to an AT&T store they didn't have anything I went to a Best Buy they didn't have anything I think what I have to do is like I would have to find like a store
[00:12:34] that still has new 13 Minis that can do the actual upgrade and I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time finding that so I don't know what to do in the chat Tito bone says what's
[00:12:52] up bird person says I posted settings for whoop store holder and STL in Discord General there it is very cool so bird person posted this last night I think it was which is very very cool this is it's
[00:13:14] hard to tell from this image but this is like a holder for batteries and the the Whooper oh what though I don't have this I I have the I have the older wopster I didn't even realize I'm
[00:13:31] sorry dude this ain't going to work for me it's super cool that you that you put that in the back though I don't have the wopster that this is for I have the older wopster I do have the
[00:13:42] tooer I wonder if the tooer would just drop in there but I have the wopster version two not the version three I'm stupid well if somebody else wants to print a very cool holder for the the
[00:13:59] Whooper version 3 you'll be good to go Cole FPV just posted a link to swaa what the hell is swappa reject what see like there there's a bunch of places where you can just buy
[00:14:17] it for like $200 to $300 if I can find somewhere that'll that'll do it as an upgrade it'll basically be free and so that's what I'm looking for but we will see we'll see I I I
[00:14:38] didn't I was so annoyed that I didn't actually start doing any research yet so maybe I'll be able to figure something out Morton upshot says mild hiss that is not terrible but probably not something
[00:14:53] you want to run every stream so I I think the main thing that you're hearing is just the fan on the the damn thing it's the the robotics themselves are like really really quiet like
[00:15:04] outrageously quiet but the fan the fan be Fanning Co power says I can hear the printer without headphones put on headphones it's quite noticeable but not the worst do you have any audio
[00:15:19] noise filter no I I I I had compression and something else set up in OBS but then it was acting really weird and I turned it off and I never turned it back on I I actually I was just watching a
[00:15:40] I was just watching a oh the one guy Harris heler video the other night last night actually on he uses the Elgato software which is kind of annoying I just need to look up like a YouTube
[00:15:58] video on compression Equalization and the third one in OBS and then just follow along Co power says there's a bit of inconsistency to the noise probably more annoying than the noise itself the
[00:16:16] inconsistency is probably the actual robotics moving around yanuk says any 3D printed canopy for nano3 the Timmons made a batwing for the for the nano3 I don't
[00:16:38] really know of any other I don't really know of any nano3 canopies though RunCam Nano I'm sure there are some I mean look if you're going to run a RunCam Nano 3 you should use the old
[00:16:57] school the old school Mobula 6 canopy like the the the reason the main reason to run a runcam nano 3 is that you can use this canopy to run the runcam Nano 3 in like a
[00:17:14] 3D printed canopy doesn't make any sense to me so if you're going to do a 3D printed canopy you might as well run a camera that's wider angle and or better quality like the
[00:17:26] CO3 so but technically speaking it looks like actually it kind of looks like there aren't any but that's actually a good thing looks like there's this this
[00:17:45] one but you don't want this don't do it don't do it it'll just break your camera and or AI AO oh God that tastes like awful jonesen says has anyone found a comparable battery to the tiny whoop 2s
[00:18:09] BT 3.0 seems like they're almost lost in space or something not yet but soon oh Jesus Christ Canon ow Canon is really serious about me never about me selling everything cannon
[00:18:31] that I own and never Looking Back come on you jackass here it comes there it is all right Kyle says do the cat straps fit fat shark skyone bino I got some 04 Pros with the boring
[00:19:03] stock scrap strap you can use these on anything I mean you can even use these on like the giant goggles they're they're just like regular old goggle straps that are looped on either end
[00:19:17] they don't have like a snap on either end or anything but they're just material that's looped over on the other end I use these on so the walk nail goggles
[00:19:29] for example right like technically you shouldn't be able to use these on them because the the goggle strap holes are fixed like they're they're solid right it's just one big piece of
[00:19:50] metal but I just go in and cut a little slot in it see a little slot there I just go in and cut a little slot and I've never had an issue you don't have to cut the slot thick and you cut
[00:20:02] it dead center and so then the the goggle strap just it's fine and it can't get out because you cut it Center so should be able to use them on anything if you're motivated enough
[00:20:23] hey all right I'm going to start I'm going to start ripping support material away this is my new dog's freaking out maybe maybe the 3D print will drowned out the the incessant
[00:20:42] sound of the dog losing his mind ripping the support material away is is like my new exercise it's incredibly satisfying and I I am just I'm so staggered by how strong the regular print is like At
[00:21:05] first I was being all careful like oh make sure I hold this and don't pull too hard it now I just like randomly grab at chunks of the the support material and just pull as hard
[00:21:18] as I can and it's I've yet to like rip any part of the actual print it's super impressive like that's ridiculous and it leaves it's so clean like I don't get it
[00:21:35] man crazy stuff I haven't totally settled on which support setup I like best for these little tiny mounts I think like the regular one is has actually been the best so I've tried
[00:21:54] like the I started with the regular one and that seemed to be sort of the right one and then I tried the the tree support and then I tried the the regular one again but like the different
[00:22:07] drop down let me see so normal default I think is the best I've since tried tree and then I've tried normal snug and normal grid this is normal grid the normal snug seemed pretty good but
[00:22:28] but I think the normal default was was the one that that worked the best the tree was I I did not like the tree on tiny little stuff like this I can totally see where the tree support would
[00:22:39] be awesome for like bigger stuff but for this for these little tiny camera mounts the the tree supports didn't really make any sense and the prints came out like looking uglier like like
[00:22:53] legitimately uglier I think because like the tree support was just like hooking up with right here whereas like these normal supports are like wrapping around it and then it comes off just like outrageously
[00:23:10] clean I'm so impressed I switched I I managed to burn through and wear out an entire plastic razor blade I put a fresh plastic razor blade on earlier today and scraped the off the plate and it
[00:23:30] was like way easier so that's interesting I think I got like I think I probably got about 10 print beds worth of stuff out of one of these plastic razor blades which is pretty
[00:23:44] good I have a whole big ass box of these man these work awesome the so it prints this Tower what the hell is it called Prime Tower it prints this Prime Tower in the corner
[00:23:59] and I actually love it because it's like a it's like a little handle so I just hold on to the Prime Tower and to get all the off this way I'm not touching the the the plate and
[00:24:12] getting my greasy ass juice all over it Deo finger juice and works well I did blue yesterday that's what's all over the table here oh so I mean since we're talking 3D
[00:24:31] printing I guess I finally I've been meaning to try the what the hell is it called fuzzy skin so there's another name for it fuzzy skin oh for sake fuzzy skin is
[00:24:49] bamboo lab's name for it but there there is another name for it and it just moves the print it like Jiggles the print head a little bit so that the straight layer lines kind
[00:25:04] of like disappear don't use it on small stuff it's not it's just it makes it look awful it makes it look like the printer is drunk and it and it's also like floppy as hell I only did a couple test
[00:25:22] prints with it but it's I can see it being good for bigger stuff and for like pla but for I don't think it's the move for TPU it's definitely not the move for smaller parts like this
[00:25:38] so these are I I think I'm actually going to throw these away because they they just they seem like they're not very strong either it seems like for some reason it's which would I guess
[00:25:48] make sense cuz it's not making straight lines that are being like glued together but like this is with it and this is without it and it's so it's not for small
[00:26:03] stuff for big stuff I'm excited though should be cool for printing big things but I don't these just look ridiculous and they're very like squishy so I think these are I think
[00:26:22] this is a little bit of a failed experiment but that's okay it's been fun kind of experimenting with with different stuff and seeing what works and what
[00:26:32] doesn't I can totally see why people get very carried away with with 3D printing and I'm trying my best to not let that be me I've got a whole bunch of so what I'm doing is I'm running
[00:26:46] through like one collar a day and I have this print bed of a whole bunch of different camera mounts here and so I'm printing a whole bunch of this stuff in each of the different
[00:27:02] colors that I've got and then I'm going to put them I'm going to put the stuff that Timmons and c and hopefully cro I'm waiting for cro to get back to no wait I I think I forgot to ask crom
[00:27:15] but the the the stuff that Tim created I'm going to throw it up on the Etsy store so you guys will be able to buy whatever and I'll put a bunch of different colors in there so
[00:27:27] these mounts here that Timmons and orom didn't make I might I don't know I I I'm on one hand like I'm tempted to message the guys that made these and say like
[00:27:42] how much money do you want for me to do you have any interest in I would like to sell these on my Etsy store are you willing to like license the design out to me or can I pay you like a flat
[00:27:57] 20 bucks or something but I don't know a lot of people have 3D printers I don't know if I would actually be able to sell enough of these for it to be worth anybody's while at
[00:28:09] the moment like if you want any of these other mounts and you're doing an Etsy order just let me know and I'll just throw it in but like the bat wings and stuff I would love to
[00:28:20] charge a couple of dollars for at least to cover the cost of the filament and to just be another way for me to kind of to keep the the ship afloat here if you want these fuzzy
[00:28:36] printed there's like two bat wings no you don't want these These are garbage Frack nlas says common Apple practice is to not sell old models directly for years minis have not been
[00:28:56] been available for years that makes me very sad very very sad Yanik says check Micro Center for refurbished iPhones the problem with refurbished though is they almost
[00:29:07] never do them as a contract you just have to buy it outright and it's I'm just not going to do that I'll I'll just suck it up and get whatever the oldest thing that I can
[00:29:19] get as an upgrade render says just get a prax and mount it to your wall no need for a TV Yanik says buy your phone and go ATT prepaid it's 35 per month tax included no I I that won't work the
[00:29:41] the the kids use shitloads of data and stuff and we have to be on like a full thing and Maggie and I use our phones like kind of for business and
[00:29:53] like that Frank says H Apple has not manufactured a mini for at least 2 to three years be sure to check camera specs on older minis I mean it sounded like I'm not going to be able to
[00:30:03] get one of the minis anyway so that idea is out the window 70 says my son smashed all the [Laughter] 13 that is that is the most wonderfully passive aggressive chat comment that I have read in over three
[00:30:28] years of doing this two years ago I would not have fully understood the the frustration behind that but now I do [Laughter] oh man 10 points for that one 70 oh
[00:31:09] boy hope you had hope you had Apple care if you didn't have Apple Care how how much money have you spent on on replacement phones out of sheer morbid curiosity brutal
[00:31:31] brutal I'm going out this Saturday to Chase RC drift cars with a little 04 rig so it'll be some cool 04 footage to take a look at Monday Sunday and Monday Co Powers says I always you I
[00:31:47] always used to use swapa for secondhand phones I never I'd never heard of that website before it looks pretty cool metalin says I know you don't want an roid but I have a pixel 7 Pro that's
[00:32:00] carrier lock to AT&T no use to me at all you can have it I I I literally wouldn't use it I I would put it up on the Etsy store I appreciate it though every day with Bruno says find a Walmart that
[00:32:14] still has AT&T in it it's funny I was I was almost like I I pretty much refused to shop in Walmart because of how they treat their employees and towns that they move into
[00:32:27] to and Bank just destroy but if by some miracle I could find a Walmart that had a 13 mini I would I would certainly go into it but I I really doubt it from what Frank is
[00:32:42] saying they haven't made him in a couple years it's not going to be it's not going to happen I think the one AT&T store that I went into today said that they
[00:32:54] have 14 so that's probably what I'll get is just a regular 14 but basically I'm going to get the cheapest thing that I can and it's looking like apple doesn't do anything older than the 15 so
[00:33:11] it'll be like try to find an AT&T store that has like a a 14 still or whatever and that's that I I doubt anybody's going to go all the way back to a a
[00:33:23] 13 I snoozed and now I'm losing cjo says what print are you running this is a bamboo A1 Mini that I won at rotor Riot Rampage last year for the for the micro edit chasing the
[00:33:47] little RC drift cars and then it sat the the printer sat back there until the until the 12 hours of Christmas stream when I finally plugged it in this the printer sat for
[00:34:01] like six months I didn't use it I didn't have anything to print though now I do and now I'm using it Co power says planned obsolesence is an apple specialty
[00:34:14] it's just good business 661 says Whooper V3 and TW store is the exact same size amazing cool so I'll be able to print that thing and then I'll put the the tooth ster in it that's
[00:34:27] awesome aome very cool C Jo no we got that drw blck says what's ship timeline for an order from the 10th pin viice .99 mm so it's 5 days but I kind of got screwed because I don't know what I
[00:34:48] did but I put the I put like way too many pin vises and drill bits in stuck I I I think what happened is when I got the pin Vis I put them in stock and then I don't know what happened but my the
[00:35:02] the quantities were all jacked up but I had to really quickly do another order for more pin visic and more drill bits and they just showed up over the weekends and so there's a couple
[00:35:15] orders that are still sitting and waiting I think there's two orders that are still sitting so if you haven't gotten the email from Etsy saying that it shipped then you're on the floor and
[00:35:26] you're you're next out I missed the mailman today so they'll go out tomorrow sorry about that friends Co power says tree supports work excellent on more rigid filament
[00:35:39] pla PG ABS nice I need to I I actually I don't have any all I have is TPU I the only rigid filament that I have is the extra little bit of white that came with the damn thing and and
[00:35:57] so I need to it is a hardened it is a hardened nozzle that I have so I guess I should get something with carbon fiber shards in it but I need to get a roll of rigid filament so I I'll do I
[00:36:18] mean if I will either do a little bit of research on it or if it's a no-brainer and a bunch of you say the same thing in the chat I'll just get that so if there's like a
[00:36:31] no-brainer hard filament to get let me know and it might as well have carbon fiber in it right since I have that hardened nozzle this is fascinating stuff I've always been I I've always been fasc it's
[00:36:51] really funny like I've always been super fascinated with 3D printing I I'll never forget like the first thing that I had somebody 3D print for me it was just such like a weird moment of like I just
[00:37:04] went on Google and typed in like I need something 3D printed and they it found a website where people that have that had this is going back like a bunch of years ago this is when I lived in Charleston
[00:37:15] so we're going like probably six or seven or eight years ago there was a website where people who had 3D printers could put their info in and then I found a local guy and met messaged him I said
[00:37:28] hey I got a couple files from a thingiverse I need printed can you help me he said yep it'll be like 20 bucks I can meet you wherever you want I had him meet me like on my lunch break at my job
[00:37:39] I handed him like a $20 bill he handed me a bunch of it was so we're going like we're going seven eight years ago come to think of it now because this was what I had in
[00:37:52] print were canopies for the baby hawk when I moved it into a carbon fiber frame and he hands me the and the and the little the little U skids the little arm protectors and the arm
[00:38:07] protectors and it was just this wild moment of like him handing me thing that he rapid prototyped and made from scratch and me giving him a piece of paper and then I had what I needed and I
[00:38:20] and and I was like wow it's super cool and long before that my dad was running a bunch of 3D printers at the college in New Jersey and so he would every once in a while have
[00:38:31] something that was 3D printed and it was it was always just like wow that is like really really really cool but at some point I realized that like it was probably not for me because I would get
[00:38:43] carried away with it and I wanted to stay focused on on FPV and so it's like I'm weirdly glad that I waited this long in a way CU I think that if I dove into this any
[00:38:57] sooner that it's might have become like because if I dove into it much sooner there would not be like the the a 3D printer sitting back there that does everything by itself and I would be all
[00:39:13] obsessed with like getting it dialed in perfectly which I'm like kind of already doing but just like 1% of that right like just changing the type of support rather than changing the 7,000 other
[00:39:25] like flow settings and speed settings and Bing Bongs in the the bamboo lab software so I'm actually like super glad that it that I waited this long until it became a like a
[00:39:40] dishwasher that just sits there and you hit a button and it does things here's a question for you guys though so the the the bamboo lab software has like Auto what is it
[00:39:57] ARR Auto arrange and it just like it just arranges these should I be like is this fine like is is there a way that I can arrange these that will make it print better or
[00:40:10] faster what I'm saying like is it is it okay to have this empty space here or should I be like moving this thing over or like is there a what I'm
[00:40:22] saying I know that if I want it to print the whole object at once I need to have a much bigger Gap but I'm not doing that I'm doing I don't know whatever the hell the other option
[00:40:38] is don't print buy layer it prints a layer at a time know what I'm saying I need to start paying more attention to the orientation I'm also using their Auto orientation thing
[00:40:57] which seems to work okay and I'm but I'm just like paying a little bit of attention I'm not really printing anything that needs to be strong yet that that'll only really matter if I
[00:41:08] print like a GoPro Mount or something where it needs to be strong Canon you are pissing me off right now you need to get it together so
[00:41:31] man that support thing came out in one big hit that was insane I know it left a little bit there we go come on man got one job to do it's just be a camera there we
[00:41:55] go incredibly satisfying fine my God man all right what else is happening in Chad Co power says TPU kind of sticks too well to tree supports that's true that's
[00:42:16] true it's way easier to pull off this support this Auto not Auto but default support material Co power says you'll eventually need to clean your build plate soap and water as need I
[00:42:27] wear gloves when drying reinstalling very cool coal Powers also says I got one of those fancy holographic plates that leaves a pattern on the bottom of the first layer that's cool part removal is
[00:42:41] even easier than a textured sheet at some point I want to get a flat smooth plate but for right now the one it came with is like totally fine little short B shart with a 10
[00:42:58] Californian Canadian dollar Super Chat he says paying the teddy tax hopefully all hope all is well brother thank you dude little Shar bow Shar oh cjo with a 499 Super Chat he says the
[00:43:10] program I'm in at my college got featured on CBS Sunday Morning Link in Discord holy where at in Discord I don't see it in general nonsense
[00:43:30] H hold on I'm scrolling where I was there it is CJ says I gave up Walmart for Lent and I'm supporting grocery stores and butchers instead hell man right now good Lord more than ever if
[00:44:05] if if you want to have any impact on the world you're going to have to spend your money in places that match your sort of values which I mean we should all be doing anyway right
[00:44:22] boy is it convenient and quick and easy and usually cost effective to order from Amazon but boy are they not good for I mean the world in general like yes there are private sellers on
[00:44:39] Amazon but as someone who worked for a private company that got set up to sell on Amazon and as the person who was partially responsible for all of that work it sucks and they Hammer the
[00:44:55] out of you on your prices and your ship times and it is bad and so any any store that sells on Amazon they also have a way of ordering direct from them and that is
[00:45:11] going to be a lot less work for them and they're going to make a lot more money from it so in all scenarios it's better to get the hell off of Amazon but I say that as
[00:45:25] someone who just very recent ly like finally said what I have to completely swear off ordering anything from them which was mainly a political decision to be totally honest
[00:45:37] with you but still I mean they it's like no matter what side of politics you're on buying stuff from smaller businesses helps people it's not just liberals that own businesses right
[00:45:54] it's like everybody and supporting a small business business is always putting more money into someone's pocket that has less money right buying from Big stores puts more money in multi
[00:46:07] you know the top 1% pockets and that doesn't benefit us in any way nor has it ever nor will it ever because trickle down is an absolute farce and so regardless of what
[00:46:22] side you're on buying from local businesses is going to make your life better in the long run unquestionably so yes it's more difficult and yes you're probably going to spend a couple
[00:46:38] extra dollars but in the grand scheme of things it's pretty important and so do it or else we'll all die cjo says carbon fiber nylon you got to keep it dry like PP TPU though that's
[00:47:03] fine I'm used to it Scott Harper says I have a meteor 75 Pro and would like an adjustable camera canopy using the CO3 camera do of one the the BetaFPV one
[00:47:20] that it probably came with is is really the one there are not many canopies that are all that great there are a couple things that I hate about this canopy but it is still one of
[00:47:35] the best and it is adjustable for the uptilt so the BetaFPV canopy is is the one that you want I had to somebody got it Mr mey says just get petg almost as easy as has pla but with some give so
[00:47:58] very strong so we've got one vote for there's got there's one vote for carbon fiber nylon there's one vote for petg Kelvin says I have an air 65 race with 0702 SC
[00:48:15] 27000 it drains batteries too fast for me I have three 802 23,000 that I want to swap in will the pit Loop adjust or should I just motor limit instead so you are going to
[00:48:30] put a heavier Mo so you've got a lightweight 0702 that's admittedly High KV that and your major issue is that you're not getting enough efficiency and so the solution that you're talking
[00:48:47] about right now is to put a heavier motor in that yes is a lower KV a better solution would be just to go into the pids the PID Tab and motor limit the lighter weight 0 72s down and then
[00:49:04] you'll get much more efficiency than the 802 23,000 so do that going from a 702 to an 802 is going to give you significantly less run time because 802s are are quite a bit heavier than
[00:49:19] 72s so either use less throttle or just motor limit go in go into the pids tab BetaFlight under motor limiting go down to like I mean you can do the math to take like 27,000 KV
[00:49:33] down to 23,000 what would that be so clear 27,000 times let's say like 085 so if you do a motor limit of 85% that's the equivalent of turning those 27,000 down to
[00:49:52] 23,000 better yet though go in there and do like a 70% motor limit fly it around see if it has enough power if it has enough power awesome if it doesn't have enough power go to 80% fly it
[00:50:06] around see how you like it and so just dial the power in basically if it sounds like efficiency is what's important to you so do a big motor limit because that's going to be the most
[00:50:20] efficient and then fly it around and if it has enough power amazing you're done if it doesn't have quite enough power bump it Up 5 or 10% fly it around right and just keep doing that to find the
[00:50:33] lowest motor limit that you can stand and that's going to give you the most efficiency going to 802s is the wrong move you're going to it's going to get a lot heavier and it's going to get
[00:50:46] less efficient CJ says when it comes to brand for petg and Pla by the Jessie filament from printed solid it's USA made 20 bucks spool and great quality I was actually going to try the the bamboo
[00:51:00] lab specific stuff because they've got like the profiles built in and I I just I'm probably only going to get like one spool of it and so I was like H I'll give that a shot
[00:51:15] but maybe if if I get through that then then maybe I'll try Jesse Jesse's Girl where the hell was I in chat what where did I go so we've got a vote for petg we've got a vote for
[00:51:51] nylon and then cjo says oh no okay no no there's never mind never mind never mind Coal Power says use the lay flat on face tool to pick the proper face for the bottom some of
[00:52:06] your parts are upside down use the lay flat on face tool what the hell is that fill bed with canopies Clos simplify mirror add part where's the lay flat on face tool this is how I troubleshoot problems now
[00:52:29] where is the lay flat on face tool in bamboo Labs software top toolbar typically second icon from the left that's absolutely ridiculous top toolbar second icon from the left that didn't work wait no top
[00:52:56] toolbar wait no oh look at Google AI being a fartbag bastard where you at lay flat on face tool add add plate Auto Orient arrange objects variable layer height move rotate is it in rotate no
[00:53:16] these are just this won't work oh son what what do it make it do it what do I use arrow keys oh no I pick the face ah oh that's pretty cool so I can pick the
[00:53:43] face ah mhm mhm okay okay I see I I wonder what this Auto Orient thing does I I noticed that like this guy th this guy printed upside down what's interesting though is that
[00:54:05] this comes out really clean like there's there's a shitload of support material that it uses but when I rip all the support Material off it's like really really clean printing upside down not
[00:54:18] upside down but what I'm saying printing it feels weird having it print but damn if it doesn't kind of print totally
[00:54:33] fine all right all right lay flat on well no just lay on face that's a cool little tool all right I'm learning I'm learning some things what I want to do that
[00:54:44] on is this guy here because this is a Mobula 7 batwing basically and so and it and it prints it very weird so what are the faces light on that face no that's not a good
[00:55:02] face no that's not a good face no this is a very strangely shaped print going to try it this time I think cool lay on face keystroke is f slick what are the rest of this color
[00:55:25] painting measure brim ears assembly view what what is that I don't get me out of here okay good I was worried I wouldn't be able to get out of
[00:55:42] there what's this text shape what's that mean seam painting what is all this supports painting what the hell this is ridiculous too much too many
[00:55:59] things Co pow says we got that oh man hold on YouTube did the thing scroll me to the bottom scrolling back up blah blah blah a BBT H C says have you ever run it on ludicrous mode at 166% print speed
[00:56:32] it's kind of crazy LOL I have not I I right before the stream I was actually just every once in a while I just randomly click around in the in the software and I I right before the stream
[00:56:44] I just saw the spot where you can change the speed I was like oh it's on normal right now what's crazy is I can go to there's a setting called Silent I was like I I assume that it was on
[00:56:56] silent already but apparently not so I am I am going to try the crazy speed I'll I'll do a run of propod Iles at ridiculous speed and see if there's see what the difference is in
[00:57:10] in quality should be cool although man it shakes the out of this little Ikea Cube every once in a while when I printed the when I printed the Beni out actually it was it was shaking the
[00:57:27] the the beas out of the out of the cube that it sits on that was kind of nutty all right is this this one with the weird skirts on the bottom it is it is render says spitting
[00:57:46] facts CJ says I posted it in the video Collective on Discord aha mhm oh no restoring classic cars in the classroom dude that's awesome holy hell I can't click it because it'll get
[00:58:06] copyright dingdong but that looks rad dude very cool CBS that's awesome man very cool where we at here CJ says pet is PG is good two you don't need enclosure for it so probably better for the A1
[00:58:29] I'm not doing any weird enclosure Tito Bon says do you still fly 5 in or just whoops and Tiny whoops I like if there's a scenario if if I'm if I go to a place that's big
[00:58:48] where a 5- in rig makes sense I will absolutely fly 5in builds but the the tiny oops fly so good that like I can just kind of hang out here and fly in the house in the front yard
[00:59:03] in the backyard and have just as much fun flying 5 in rigs is like a lot more time charging batteries a lot more time driving to a spot I'm going to break a bunch of driving
[00:59:22] home I got to fix a bunch of so in terms of like time versus Smiles it's totally skewed and I flew 5in rigs for five six years like a lot and so nowadays
[00:59:41] it's about it's more about like how much enjoyment can I get with the least amount of time and money and that is Tiny whooping like they're outrageously durable super easy to fix and
[01:00:01] like I If if I've got like a half an hour I can blast through like seven or eight batteries a half an hour in 5 in world is just charging batteries what I mean
[01:00:15] it's not super common that I have like a three or 4 Hour block of time where I can get all the back batteries out give the give those builds a once over get everything packed get
[01:00:31] all the batteries charged get everything packed into the bag drive out to the spot fly the spot chase the thing down when it crashes and blows up propellers all the time right drive home fix all
[01:00:44] the that exploded from smashing into concrete that is so much more time consuming and so it's tough like on one hand like it feels weird that I that I don't
[01:01:03] fly much 5 in stuff anymore but when I look at it like realistically it's just and it's not it used to be way more fun it used to be way more fun than
[01:01:17] tiny whooping because we didn't have good power to weit we didn't have good power trains on Tiny whoops we didn't have good Motors we didn't have good propellers and so the only way to
[01:01:27] get a good flight experience was to fly like 3 in or 5 in or whatever but that's just not true anymore and so it's like why like where's my motivation to fly a 5- In freestyle
[01:01:40] rig to like impress people I I I I stopped caring about impressing people 10 years ago if not longer right it's good practice practice for what all the times that I don't fly 5in rigs you know
[01:01:56] like there's it's just it's really hard to find a reason to go do that stuff like so it's and I think a lot of people are realizing that for a long time it was like you weren't
[01:02:14] a re like people would talk about like tiny whoops and micros and be like does anybody actually even like fly those well it's was it was like a joke it was just like you know
[01:02:26] only like new people flew flew stuff smaller than 5 in like nobody that was actually a decent pilot would fly anything other than 5in rigs and that has drastically changed and some of
[01:02:39] the best Pilots that there are are flying cine whoops and micros and Tiny whoops and stuff like look at the racing Community right some of the best racing Pilots
[01:02:52] are flying I mean some of them are exclusive a few of them are flying exclusively tiny whoops most of them do everything but still like a bunch of the top racing Pilots also
[01:03:05] spend a good amount of time flying tiny woop so the game has changed quite a bit which is great that is a good thing I also have thousands of hours of unedited perfectly good 5-in
[01:03:23] freestyle flight footage sitting on a hard drive so it feels weird going out and making a whole bunch more making even more of it that I haven't edited yet and the and the other thing
[01:03:37] that's really cool the the few time like every few months I there'll be a reason for me to go fly 5-in rigs like Rampage and I'll go out to Rampage and I'll fly 5 in and it'll take me a couple
[01:03:50] batteries to adjust but then what's really interesting is that flying tiny whoops inside the house is so outrageously difficult that when I go fly 5-in stuff it feels like slow and
[01:04:05] controlled and it's like easy it's really really cool like tiny like the the the style of freestyle that I do with tiny whoops is so outrageously difficult that it makes you get really
[01:04:20] good really fast and so when I when I go fly big outside I'm like oh my god I've got all this space this is like easy oh I flicked it up in the air and I'm just waiting for it to come
[01:04:31] down I can just take a breath and just relax for a second and so all of the stick time that I put in on these on these little guys like no longer is it like to get good you have
[01:04:45] to fly 5 in like that's gone you can become the best pilot in the world flying inside your house nowadays and that is amazing that is absolute Magic Flip on face look at that put
[01:05:02] something on its face that that was that wasn't oriented right shout out to crom for making a 20° version of the 04 batwing Mount that's what I just put on its face the way that the the way that the
[01:05:24] Batwing mount sits on the frame the the frame kind of tries to the frame tries to take the up tilt away from it and so having 20 degrees of uptilt you end up having like
[01:05:44] 5 degrees of actual camera up tilt Kelvin says thanks for the motor limiting tip adding my vote for petg as has a good filment for durability and ease of
[01:06:00] print so it looks like we're all over the place which is fine Co power says it's in the toolbar next to scale right of rotate awesome somebody typed in all capitals as soon as YouTube scrolled me to the
[01:06:21] bottom for no reason Auto Orient is auto Orient good should I be using that I have been using it how does Auto Orient work I wonder Co power says some things are best printed printed in weird
[01:06:38] orientations he also says when you get the faces right then use Auto arrange nice so that's what I have been doing I've been using the auto Orient first and then the auto arrange
[01:06:56] cjo says okay changing my vote to petg because people are saying nylon is toxic which I didn't realize all right so I guess I won't do nylon so I'm seeing more petg recommendations I
[01:07:12] think petg is what the white filament that it came with that I did this Beni with was and that seems awesome so maybe I'll get a roll of do they do petg with carbon fiber
[01:07:27] shards in it is that a thing render says seam painting is amazing allows you to place your Z seam wherever you want instead of it choosing an outside edge or Corner in such an obvious spot what
[01:07:40] the hell is the Z seam is that where it starts judging from Context that feels like that's where the it starts printing EU and that would also mean that's where it
[01:07:54] changes layers I'm guessing EU n FPV says I crashed my 6 in the toilet today that's so much worse than the Dog [Laughter] bow sucks that sucks so bad oh you and pissing
[01:08:33] there you in [Laughter] there oh boy that's so gross oh God that's so [Laughter] nasty oh boy for whatever reason like a long time ago I've I've always put the lid down
[01:09:18] on the toilet always my entire life so my I have muscle memory where my I I put the lid down with my left hand and flush the toilet with my right hand I can't not I I cannot not do
[01:09:34] that if if I if if some for some reason I get off in the bathroom and I flush the toilet F like if I take a just a big nasty one right and I flush the toilet first when I then inevitably put the lid
[01:09:49] down muscle memory will make me flush it again even if I literally just flushed it and so the the lid is is I've never crashed into the toilet because the toilet lid is always down for me so
[01:10:02] there you go there's your the the main lesson learn there has nothing to do with flying it has to do with putting the toilet seat down and everyone that you live with from here on
[01:10:15] will appreciate that I I was it was I I always like did it and it wasn't really a thing and I didn't I don't know I just thought it like looked better and whatever I
[01:10:27] never really thought about it and then it at some point a woman told me the re the real re like so women care about this right like men traditionally we don't really care about putting the
[01:10:39] toilet seat down some of you might not know this the reason why women care about it from what I've been told is that if they go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and they don't want
[01:10:50] to turn the lights on to not wake you up or just ruin their night vision or whatever if they just go and sit down and you've left both the the lid and the seat up they will like fall into the
[01:11:03] toilet cuz they'll sit on the huge ceramic area right so putting the the the seat down is the biggest thing but put the lid down too you you Savages and if if you leave the
[01:11:23] seat up and they fall in they're going to be pissed at you if you put the seat down and then they just bare ass sit on the seat it'll just be like oh and they won't like come
[01:11:33] back and punch you oh tiny whoop crashed in the toilet brutal Tito bone says totally understand that's why I want my 2S 3in fixed it's perfect for the house and neighborhood still need a whoop of some
[01:11:57] kind myself fair warning when you when you build a good tiny whoop you'll never fly outside again Scott arper says I just got the bwell 3in kit for freestyle to go with my 4in long range and my tiny
[01:12:10] whoop very cool let us know how that the Joshua's 3-inch setup is looks really good Andrew Taylor says what about three and a half inch would that be easier to manage time slocation
[01:12:22] issues over a 5 inch not really it's any anything bigger anything that you can't fly in the front of your house is all the same because you got to like drive to a spot
[01:12:36] and then you got to try not to hit somebody in the face and then it's going to break right and so and three 3 in is better than 3 and a half in anyway 3 and a half inch is
[01:12:48] too floaty the only 3 and 1/2 in rigs that work right or is when like your all up weight is like 300 350 grams and usually you're not there so don't do 3 and a half inch do 3 in 3 in is
[01:12:59] where it's at Latino boy Vincent from Florida said do you have any kids for some reason denilla deleted it I'm assuming later on in the
[01:13:12] conversation something was said I don't per oh oh he started spamming the chat I don't personally have any kids but Maggie has two and so I get the the cool opportunity
[01:13:30] to try to have a positive impact on their lives which is pretty awesome and I didn't have to get pissed on on thrown up on by them when they were going up so Dodge that
[01:13:45] bullet Latino boy Vincent from Florida you can't do this dude you like there's there's like a hundred people in the chat I can't just talk to you brother you got to
[01:13:59] chill okay now you're gone forever bro I want to cuss out a seven-year-old girl no don't what is wrong with you all right what else is happening here I'm going to assume that the mods
[01:14:24] just timed you out if if you act like an adult and don't do this I won't ban you from the entire Channel but if you keep acting like this you'll be gone forever so this is your only
[01:14:45] warning this is an adult place here Frank Nicholas says with all your printing giveaway items consider wear and tear on your printer it says winter but printer anything with carbon will chew through
[01:14:59] even Harden nozzles be prepared to buy replacement sooner very cool render says pla is stronger petg is better with higher temps like open sunlight Peg is rough for use for anything that's
[01:15:13] lanky interesting it contracts a lot when cooling each layer ah CJ says what EU FPV says it was a toilet connected to the guest room that's never really used
[01:15:28] brutal Andrew Taylor says I do the toilet lid down to it's a bin can't believe people live it open leave it open put the goddamn seat down and then flush it so that all the the
[01:15:46] going on from all that rushing water doesn't go in your mouth EU andf PV says always have the seat down but I guess the lid is just as important now Cole power says as someone
[01:16:02] who lives in a bachelor Pat I am shocked to learn I have a toilet lit at all even when I lived alone I still put the goddamn seat down cjo says did bar ever get back to
[01:16:19] he did we've been talking about it I'm trying to convince him to it's looking like he's going to do a Sim rig first which is a really really really good idea but I'm trying to
[01:16:33] convince him to just go to an autocross up in Tennessee but he's just like everybody that I've ever told to just go it's just like oh I don't I don't know I don't know how
[01:16:46] to do it I it feels weird it's I which I get I I I didn't go to autocross for a while but like the best thing that you can possibly do is is to just go literally as soon as
[01:17:02] possible don't don't mod the car don't mod yourself just go Denzel says is hide user on channel same as ban it is render says all I fly in front of my house is three and a half inch careful
[01:17:19] you hit somebody's car with a with a anything bigger than like two and a half inch it's gonna it's going to cost you co power says the seat is one thing aim good enough and you can clear the
[01:17:30] seat it's the lid that I basically never use use the lid because you'll put a tiny whoop in there at some point cjo says I'll Super Chat him about it what's that
[01:17:40] mean oh Joshua s Super Chat Joshua dude when are you going to your first autocross because and for any of you guys that have any interest whatsoever in Motorsport I'm serious find your
[01:17:58] local autocross region and just go don't worry about classing don't worry about a helmet don't worry about suspension or brakes or tires or anything go there there are a hundred people there that
[01:18:15] are dying to help you out and that are dying to show you how much fun it is and they will have the masking tape that you need to put the numbers on your car and they will make sure that you don't make
[01:18:27] the numbers too small like there's all these stupid mistakes that you'll make trying to do it for yourself just go and people will help you and then like it and it's awesome because they get to
[01:18:39] help you and they feel good and you make a bunch of friends in the process and then you don't have to do the research you don't have to waste the time doing the research right you go there and you
[01:18:47] just do it and for half of the day you're going to chase cones and so when you're not physically running to grab a tone you're going to be talking to the other Corner the other Corner
[01:18:57] workers the other course workers and they're going to tell you all the different you just you just go and they they have loner helmets as C Joe says you don't have to bring a hel
[01:19:06] you don't have to bring a godamn thing you have to bring yourself like 30 or 40 bucks and that's it you technically don't even have to bring a car that like there are usually people who want a a
[01:19:21] co- driver or a second driver in their car usually they want that second driver to be a little bit more experienced but like technically speaking you can just get a ride you can take a Uber
[01:19:31] to an autocross and you might be able to find someone that will let you drive their car basically like everybody grids up big long of cars that are grided up waiting to run there's a second row in
[01:19:44] the grid for two driver cars and the two driver cars they send the car and then they loop back into the two Driver Line the the big long line of single drive car single driver cars goes halfway down
[01:19:57] that line your car goes again so guess what your car goes on track twice as often and puts twice as much heat into the tires so for the owner of that car when they go for their next run there's
[01:20:10] more heat in their tires and they will run faster because of that and so you actually don't even need a car but bring your own car like me as as somebody that's experienced I can just
[01:20:22] Uber to an autocross and a bunch of people will beg me to drive their to drive their cars as a new person you might be able to find somebody but probably not because like you don't even
[01:20:33] know anybody for them to trust you they might but you don't need to bring a damn thing or be ready or you just go and people will hook you up it's awesome super fun danzel the
[01:20:46] turle says I would pay to see Ciotti versus JB autocross race for charity Clash of the FPV Titans I mean it's wouldn't it's wouldn't be fun to see us like compete
[01:21:00] against each other because I'm I've done I've done probably I don't know if I've done thousands of hours of autocross but e hundreds for sure each autocross run is
[01:21:12] only like a minute long so to get to a thousand hours takes an a really really really long time I'm really really fast like I I got outrageously good at autocross the the what would be really fun
[01:21:28] would be Joshua and I like working together and basically me putting him in the passenger seat of my Miata scaring the living out of him and then me being in the passenger seat of
[01:21:43] of his car instructing him that that that's what would be fun it wouldn't really be fun for us to compete cuz it would just be a new person and then someone that like was literally
[01:21:53] an instructor for like seven years or something but like the look on his face the look on new people's faces when an instructor drives a properly prepped car on sticky tires is
[01:22:09] is pretty fun there was an event sometimes it's hard to see through a helmet but there was an event that we did for a Corvette group many moons ago
[01:22:25] where I took a bunch of people for instructor rides and it's autocross is is fairly safe ah go away stop it autocross is fairly safe so the the feelings of Terror are not really there track days
[01:22:48] where there's like concrete barriers and that's where you'll really see people get scared and throw up and the big thing with autocrosses is just throwing people around it's just too fun
[01:22:59] to throw people around I don't remember which event it was well this is this is one of them this is not the one that I'm thinking of but there are some there are some there's a bunch
[01:23:23] of reactions from code drivers in this and you get to see them get thrown around see this is this is one of them there's a link in the chat that's one of them that that's that's
[01:23:37] kind of fun Jesus Christ 11 years ago oh my God that's absolutely ridiculous right Scott Harper says we used to rent Dodge Neons and run them when our cars were broke to get points h
[01:23:57] I I I never I I I never had to do it but it was it was always my favorite thing when somebody that was competitive in our region would show up in a rental car because they couldn't
[01:24:14] get something done on their car or they couldn't get parts or or whatever and they would run a rental car in a stock class just to get points on the board just to get packs
[01:24:28] points that is a special kind of that's just it's just perfect it's so goddamn good Scott upper says my brother ran a Ford fiest Ford Festiva for a season nice the Ford Fiesta is actually almost
[01:24:50] identical to my Mazda 2 I never ran a full season with the Mazda 2 but I did a few events with it extremely capable car very very fun Co power says that's what made celebrity guests on Top
[01:25:04] Gear so great first The Stig takes them around to rip the track of Breck neck speeds then they go do it alone Top Gear had such a cool formula with that Denzel the terrible says you could
[01:25:12] race with a handicap I mean I mean with the p Pax is a it's a modifier which kind of takes the car out of the equation which is really cool we're going to start with the the Newbie drone
[01:25:33] hummingbird race and we're going to get this God aul camera mount that they ship it with off of it and I'm going to put I believe this is this is the one that I printed that will fit with the bi
[01:25:46] because the bi is a is a big big bastard of a camera so PX PX is a modifier in auto cross that kind of takes the car out of the equation basically what they do they've got a ton of different
[01:26:02] classes basically like AB B CDE e FG and so the different classes have different speeds of car and so I'm super super super oversimplifying this but a class will have really fast cars b class will have
[01:26:26] a little bit slower cars c will be a little bit slower all the way down into like G which is where you'll have some of the slowest cars right and so by having these individual classes with similar
[01:26:43] speeds of car at the end of every season they can make a modifier and so they can average out all of the all of the different classes a bcde e FG average it out to 1.0 and then
[01:26:59] they can put a modifier on it and that's what Pax is and so what what the Pax modifier does is it takes the car out of the equation so you show up in a Corvette and you run a
[01:27:14] 42.6 I show up in a in a in an 85 horsepower Mazda 2 and I run a 51 well at the end of the season they take every single time that that's happened and they put this modifier in
[01:27:28] and so the Corvette gets like no modifier because it's in the fastest class but then the the slowest class gets a really strong modifier and so at the end of every event and so every year
[01:27:42] this pxs modifier changes for all the different classes but one of the one of the really cool things about out across is that every event you go to no matter what car you're in you've got this PX
[01:27:53] modifier which takes the car almost completely out of the out of the equation so you can show up in the slowest car and if you're the best driver if you're the fastest driver the
[01:28:05] packs at at the end of the event they give an award away for the fastest packs and that's really what everybody wants the everybody wants to have the fastest packs time because that is pretty much
[01:28:18] the fastest driver at the event because it's taking the car out of the equation without packs it's just how much money do you want to spend if you spend a whole shitload of money on who your a7s
[01:28:30] which are the stickiest Tire and a bunch of prep on your car you can just show up and stomp everyone on your raw time on your unmodified time and that's cool but the people
[01:28:43] that actually know what's what they don't really give a about that they give a about the packs time and so Pax is really really really cool I will say this about this newbie drone
[01:28:57] Mount they have sized the front of the mount really well so it's actually hard for me to get the camera out unfortunately the rest of the mount is too damn floppy but it's actually
[01:29:10] really difficult for me to get this camera out to the point where I might need to cut this Mount which is fine because this Mount is pretty worthless since it's so floppy but
[01:29:22] let me at least spend another half a second trying to not ruin the mount while getting the camera out of it so p is one of the coolest things about autocross because it
[01:29:40] really means that you don't have to spend any money you can I mean you have to build a little bit to within the class and there will sometimes be like one specific car that in like B
[01:29:55] stock is the car to have but it's pretty good like there there are enough different classes where you can show up in an awful lot of different cars and be very competitive if you're a good driver
[01:30:12] to compete on like the the ntional on the pro solo like National circuit there there's going to be one car or two cars per class that are absolutely the one that you have to have
[01:30:27] but again there's a b c d e f g h so there's a lot of different classes so it's not you have to have a 2022 Mustang in order to win it'll there'll be a bunch of
[01:30:42] different ones man I can't get this I can't get this camera out of here but locally luckily this Mount is pretty kind of worthless so let me see if I can just
[01:30:57] cut this Mount let me put the nerd goggles on so I can see what the hell I'm doing I almost just put the nerd goggles on upside down that was interesting so let me see if I can cut this Mount
[01:31:11] without ruining the camera oh easy cool I also don't care about cutting this Mount because they gave me an extra one in in the box so I I I do have another one of these mounts but it's I
[01:31:27] really don't like this Mount it's way too floppy so we've got a bi camera with a super short little cable I have a whole bunch of these bi cameras but none of them have this short of a of a camera
[01:31:39] cable that's kind of wild I wonder if it's going to be long enough for this different canopy so let's see is this the the this is obviously the bi canopy the the bi camera has a pretty
[01:31:52] big board on it I don't remember what is up and what's down is it I think it's I think it's like this I'm going to put a battery on it and we're going to see
[01:32:09] ah hold I got to unplug the vrx out out out all right that is now plugged back in y okay so I'm going to plug this in and I'm tempted to do I have a CO3 floating around I
[01:32:48] think the co oh what no I'm not going to put a CO3 camera on this cuz that's a waste cuz this uses the Newbie drone OSD setup which is like really bad so a
[01:33:00] I find that the Newbie drone camera actually looks it's a very contrasty camera and so when you run it through the Newbie drone OSD chip which makes it very muddy it actually looks the best
[01:33:12] out of any of the cameras if I put a CO3 on here it's probably wouldn't look as good as this bi all right so let me let's see what's up and what's down and what's left and
[01:33:24] what's right with this particular cam so okay so that's right set up so the wires go out of the left all right good to know the wires exit out of the left so in this
[01:33:49] Mount I'm going to put it like anybody know who that is who I'm imitating like we just put it in here is Bob Ross Bob Ross says like says it just like that
[01:34:14] next time you see a Bob Ross live stream on if you're not subscribed to the Bob Ross channel here on YouTube boy are you missing out they do live streams they do like eight hour Marathon
[01:34:29] live streams of all the old Bob Ross episodes it's just it's one of the best things on YouTube if I'm really honest it's just great you just put it on for like a half an hour just let
[01:34:43] yourself be soothed by one of the best American painters of all time and your day will be a little bit better all right there we go you guys know that guy he did at
[01:35:06] least three of every single one of those paintings every single episode that that he did of that show he did that painting at least three times sometimes four or five times crazy
[01:35:24] absolute Madness I wonder if this camera is going to stay in this Mount normally what I would now do is put a couple little dots of E6000 on here but let's just freeball it and see if the if
[01:35:41] the camera will magically stay in the mount I'm using my little 0.99 mm Drillbit just to open up the hole in this little foot here the other two holes and the other two
[01:35:56] fetuses seem to be totally fine so now we'll get to see if the camera cable is long enough let's take a look I think we going to be all right the other thing I like to do with these
[01:36:14] little newbie drone camera plugs is actually put another little dot of E6000 on the camera plug I don't think this cable is going to be long enough let me just bend it over a little
[01:36:24] bit nope okay so let's get another bi the the regular bi has a significantly longer cable on it and I should have an extra one floating around here somewhere get out
[01:36:54] get out of there Adam Weston has had trouble getting petg to work well pla is the most foolproof in my experience carbon fiber doesn't make the material that much
[01:37:11] stronger it's more for looks ah gonan says my parents did a lot of autocross in Volkswagen in the 70s early 80s they said for the big events someone would rent some ship box and the Champions are
[01:37:22] all the glasses would run that after they do all kinds of all kinds of fun stuff at autocross is the definition of grassroot Motorsports it is like it is just if you need to
[01:37:43] Define what a grassroot motorsport is absolutely unquestionably it is autocross that is what autocross is and with that that you get a really cool group of people that just that are like focused
[01:38:01] on getting good and having fun the rest of Motorsport is really expensive and so ego comes into play and money comes into play and it and it really changes things quite a bit I got to go over here
[01:38:17] to grab a bi and so arguably autoc is like the most pure form of Motorsport it's just so good and YouTube just the bed that's not great relaunch it
[01:38:42] here coming back up all right live chat there we go all right cmk says jumping in un crashed if anyone has trick questions or needs stick needs to get stick time like
[01:39:00] me K ster says have you seen the offthe Shelf open IPC vtx's Mario FPV has been posting on his channel lately flight videos look promising I have not I I have not looked
[01:39:13] into open IPC really at all to be completely honest we as far as I'm concerned we already got too many video systems and I just I don't see a world where open IPC will ever be able to
[01:39:32] catch up with the other guys I love that it's open source and all but I just I I don't have the time or money to dive into something that something like that
[01:39:55] all right so now this is a different one I I I don't I'm not going to assume that the the wires come out the same side so I'm going to have to do this again real quick here so let's plug
[01:40:09] this in and fire this up and let's see what side see and that's why on this bi the cameras come out the right side camera just came unplugged camera cables come out the right side on this
[01:40:30] one bottom right okay unplug it here come back to the bench cam all right so bottom right there we go we're going to mash this through here get in there there we
[01:40:56] go right push it through I have a feeling I'm not going to you need to use E6000 this this fits really nicely in here I mean we'll see but C Joe says carbon fiber makes it
[01:41:18] more rigid but less strong more more shatter proof I guess right carbon fiber render says carbon fiber filaments are for dimensional accuracy specifically interesting use a hardened
[01:41:30] steel no nozzle with anything I I have a I have the hardened nozzle in the in the thing in the thing in the place all right we got a longer cable now this should
[01:41:46] be good to go get in there you bastard get in there there we go it's ridiculous little I think this is a jst 0.8 plug I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what this wacky little plug
[01:42:13] is here that newbie drone and nowadays BetaFPV is using as well well I guess they've been using it's been the plug on the CO3 for a while I like it from a weight saving
[01:42:36] standpoint but from an everything else standpoint it sucks oh that's annoying this Mount kind of pushes up against the the camera plug spot that's not great it'll be all right
[01:42:57] though I wonder how much duct is going to be in view the this Mount sits up pretty high but it's pulling the camera back pretty far like the camera is very centered I would kind of rather the
[01:43:14] camera be a little bit farther forward if I'm honest for a little bit less duct in view but this is going to centralize the weight the best so this will give us the best flight
[01:43:27] characteristics again this is a newbie drone hummingbird race The Nutty lightweight one oh I forgot to weigh it before I did this God damn it well I mean the weight is probably on their website
[01:43:43] though it this I I have a feeling this is going to be just a little bit heavier with this Mount but I mean it's still like stupidly lightweight it's still pretty much like
[01:43:56] the lightest weight tiny whoop that you're going to be able to build Christ it uses the windings wire for the for the motor wires is Hardcore ah hold on I got to open up this little
[01:44:17] hole in the mount come on meow am I saying meow do I look like a cat to you am I jumping around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree do you see me eating mice oh my God please just be
[01:45:11] cool get in there boy it is hard to get these screws started in the in the 3D printed holes in the little canopies sometimes go go go go go go get in there yes got it
[01:45:56] there we are all right Mount is the Mount me hat is screwed down oh my God that is so much better let me just put the rear screw in here okay
[01:46:23] get in there render says open IPC is a cost value $50 a units 100 bucks vrx W that's pretty cheap that is pretty cheap CJ makes it's says no it makes it brittle
[01:46:48] that's what I assumed CMYK saying you got to have good ventilation for anything high temp like petg Tito bun says told me the other day that I need to move away from
[01:47:01] hdlc electronics and then my AO board started losing pieces off of it so I ordered TBS Lucid one to 2S AIO with Crossfire nice am I saying meow all right man that is a hell of an
[01:47:19] improvement wow that is stiff how the hell they do that so holy when I put a downward force on this thing it's it's barely moving it must be it must be
[01:47:35] this this additional material right here is making this re that is really impressive oh my God that's that is something else damn very cool
[01:47:56] design wow okay I was thinking this Mount was going to be flimsy as hell but that's actually incredibly strong for for how minimal it is all right let's
[01:48:11] see Great Scott says 16.45 gram stock and it is now 16.73% lightweight so 16.8 gram good stuff these little antennas can just kind of chill here they should be fine this big silly battery lead poking
[01:48:45] up over the top kind of Ugo but it's fine oh my God a camera mount that holds the camera level what a although I say that and then I look I look down at it and the camera is off to the side a little
[01:49:02] bit I think it's because of the way that I screwed these guys down let me see yep I kind of this one was twisted a little bit from screwing it down this one was twisted a little bit I just had
[01:49:14] to even them out all right let's fly this thing with a camera that stays level what do you say BetaFPV 260 lava battery hus okay you guys have video you do
[01:49:46] unbelievably lightweight tiny whoop 16.8 gram and then the super lightweight 26 C mAh battery coming at you tiny whoop hummingbird race with
[01:50:08] CAC transmitter's not turned on and I'm trying to arm it here we go oh my God oh god oh it's too late it's too late oh my God this is ridiculous oh
[01:50:40] God it's been a while since I've flown this Jesus this is hard to I remember this being hard to fly woo W my God it's just oh farts oh oh god what the hell man the hover point oh the hover point is like
[01:51:11] hysterically low hold on hold let me figure out the hover point maybe I don't have the throttle Expo set right 23% 21% let me see where the throttle expose at hold
[01:51:24] on oh God this has this weird menu oh come on Main there we go Rat down to go up oh there's no throttle Expo turned on oh no no no there is but there's not much 30 oh
[01:51:44] the midpoint was way too high go down to 22 now it's probably going to be too low though now it's a little bit too low 25 26 all right I'm going to put the main profile rate midpoint I'm going to put it up
[01:52:15] to 26 that should be just about right oh so much better oh my God it's still out just unreasonably [Laughter] light when it's light like this everything happens so
[01:52:45] fast that like I just I feel like I'm constantly behind the game like trying to catch up I was looking at the doorway I wasn't looking at where I was going I was looking at where I wanted to go not
[01:52:57] where I was going that's why I just plowed face first into the door like a actual crazy person where that dog at here he comes oh god oh boy there he is there's the boy with the
[01:53:22] bad haircut look at those spindly little legs oh my God it this is this for real takes some getting used to let me put air mode on a on a switch on this thing actually
[01:53:52] let's do that real quick so air mode deactivation on a momentary switch is something that I I'd been meaning to do for a while and I was too lazy to do it and then somebody mentioned it on the
[01:54:10] stream the other day and I did it real quick and then I kind of like thought more about it and I was like man that's actually first of all it's the main reason I think I didn't do it is because
[01:54:24] I didn't want to do anything on the transmitter I didn't want to have to set the transmitter up to send another Channel across and then like I I just took 14 seconds to really quickly go
[01:54:36] through the transmitter and it was done and so that was insane but you got to make your transmitter send a signal from your momentary switch and I'm not going to try to show you how
[01:54:53] to do that CU I barely know how to do it and then once you've done that it's super simple you come into configuration you turn off permanently enabled air mode save and
[01:55:08] reboot come in here you go to the receiver tab you hit that switch to why is it not going through oh there it is aux 6 so that's the Au six switch I want air mode to be on when it's to
[01:55:25] the right as you can see and I want air mode off when it's on the left so Au 6 you go to modes you go to air mode add link hit the I'm sorry add range rather hit the switch turn off add
[01:55:42] link and then you want air mode on over here and then you want it off over here and that's it that's all you got to do let's try it 260mah battery
[01:56:01] down five to go I don't think we'll fly all of them flat spot towards me and I'm going to not plug this battery in all the way so that the plug doesn't get stuck like
[01:56:21] that one just did there's our boy checking this hummingbird race out to make sure it's acceptable whoa so air mode is on now air mode is off and I can just hold this switch one of the things I
[01:56:52] want to do is fly under this table but that is going to be hard with this rig fly under this table with air mode off to see if it's any easier so this is all Air mode
[01:57:09] on so there it's starting to freak out when I'm under the table air mode is now off is it any easier it's hard to hold that switch though air Mode's now back
[01:57:27] on now I mean in that in that tiny little situation there turning air mode off helps but when I'm just normally flying under the table it doesn't really feel like it's
[01:57:42] helping it's just a small Gap it's ground effect ground effect is the problem under the table it's not air mode it's just really low it's a really low coffee
[01:57:53] table so that's interesting at some point though I'll go I'll go face first and now I can just flip the switch and now it pops right off so that was me turning air mode off try it again
[01:58:04] air mode off and I okay that's pretty slick that's pretty nice and it's not I don't usually keep my finger on that switch like I am right now and so I am kind of holding the
[01:58:20] transmitter a little bit differently right now usually how do I usually hold it hold on how do I usually hold this transmitter let me just pick it up and put it down so
[01:58:34] usually the hell's happening usually no I guess I do usually have my middle finger on that on that switch okay oh Teddy spaghetti oh oh God no oh no so
[01:58:59] there no no [Laughter] Teddy oh God I got a con to fly this I can't be like thinking about turning air mode off and on and off and on this is hard to fly God
[01:59:32] damn it's a lot easier to fly though with the camera looking straight forward that's for damn sure cool this is a huge win this actually makes me want to fly this thing because the camera looks
[01:59:47] straight and this Mountain's holding up really nice and the antennas are where they need to be cool this is good to go do one more quick battery I'm going to not think about air
[01:59:57] mode and I'm just going to like try to fly this around properly hummingbird race what a thing not very goodlooking video but outrageously lightweight here we go
[02:00:23] oh boy oh see so there I got to get in the habit of actually hitting it I can't like I got to do it enough times that it's muscle memory let's try that
[02:00:41] again Jesus ah oh no see I'm just used to disarming let's try the the rail gun oh this thing rail guns like a no no stop it hold on just reset reset all
[02:01:15] right oh my God this is a whole different different thing to fly my my brain is not up to the task at the moment of being able to keep up with this thing
[02:01:59] hey my God like everything happens fast with tiny with tiny whoops inside the house as it is this this adds like 60% to that what oh I end up having to like look really
[02:02:27] far ahead oh that was a hard crash I was I thought that crash recovery would turn on and it didn't and then I ended up going Full Throttle into the ground on that one what's that what I knock over I
[02:02:48] knock the I knock the funny glasses a nose oh I knocked Sack Boy over there's Sack Boy ah this is brutal holy this is hard to fly ah no this this ain't my night for
[02:03:13] flying a this is the hardest tiny whoop to fly because it being so light everything happens so fast get out of there oh this is just brutal yikes yikes yikes yikes yikes apologies
[02:03:41] to anybody that gets motion sick oh boy that's impossible okay we got to fly this all white rig that's significantly heavier so it'll be quite a bit more chill I've got to get the camera I've
[02:03:58] got to try to get the camera level in the in the in the mount so that I can then use this we'll try out this white E6000 so we're just going to roll right into this this is a custom build
[02:04:10] newbie drone cockroach V3 frame wee bed FPV 40,000 KV 72s the HQ ultral light by blades the newbie drone I'm sorry the BetaFPV Matrix AO their canopy and their CO3 camera and an ultra
[02:04:31] lightweight antenna this is mid 17s if I remember correctly and we're going to run another one of these 260 mahh batteries through it hi doggy and now you're going to get to see the
[02:04:43] difference between regular OSD and newbie drone ESD OSD this is a regular OSD with a CO3 C camera this is so much more control there this just like the edge is taken off with
[02:05:08] this this is the speed that I can handle well that's interesting I turned air mode off on it when it didn't help oh cuz I didn't do it on this [Laughter] quad all right so let's let's get the
[02:05:33] camera level my favorite way of doing that is to fly up nice and high get it so that it's hovering dead still and then just look at the ceiling tiles so it's close but
[02:05:47] it's not quite right all right so having a hell of a time getting it a Sit level all right so it the the right side is too high so that means right side is too high so I need
[02:06:20] to push the camera like this yes all right so let's try this rotate the camera a little bit I felt it move and now let's try it again okay bring it up here get it so it's not
[02:06:38] sliding left to right that looks pretty good I think that might be it although I think h no the right side is still a little bit too high right side's still a little bit too
[02:06:57] high and so right side is too high so I want to rotate it like this all right another little bit I think I just felt it move let's try that oh God I made it worse
[02:07:22] I made it way worse this battery just fell off a cliff what the hell is that about I made it way worse to the point where it's hard to fly right now let's pull this battery throw
[02:07:37] another one at it okay how did I get that backwards right side's too high so I actually need to push it this other way so I push it this way okay I think I went too far but let's
[02:08:00] give it a try let's see now the left side's too high yep left side's way too high high now so okay oh I can see that it's that it's not right ah that looks much better let's
[02:08:42] try that oh that's a lot better it's still not quite right though it's weird like I can just sort of feel it I over rotated it now the right side's too
[02:09:05] high the right side's now too high okay Jesus this is this is insane oh my God Teddy what was that little buddy he went I think I maybe felt it rotate boy it's hard to tell
[02:09:32] though it ain't right I can feel it I made it worse God damn it oh that's way worsethis is this is super annoying okay I think I just felt it rotate a little bit but I feel like it might need
[02:10:10] to go a little bit more is that is that it that might be it like you would think you could just look at it but like you really can't because like the mount doesn't really
[02:10:24] sit level nope now the left side's too high again oh my god well hold on this might be all right right no no still ain't right God damn it dude how did they just eat another battery a
[02:11:01] minute and 20 what what is happening why you eat all these batteries bro is something going on with one of these motors what oh god oh that left front motor
[02:11:32] is not loving life that left front motor has has been abused are we level this is the closest it's been to left Lev I think that's about as good as we're going to get
[02:12:06] it now see there I think this battery is just I think this battery needs to be retired I'm GNA put a little a red X on this battery because I think it'd be
[02:12:25] bad all right over the red marker remind myself okay I the the the big test is when I just like naturally level The Horizon and then hover the thing if it slides then it's still not quite
[02:12:54] right so this is close but it's still not quite there I think I can see that it's still a little bit off though and I hope that might be I think that's it let's
[02:13:19] see now now the left side's too high again you see it so if I just come here and I just level this beam in the goggles okay no that's good that's a good sign so if I just come here and
[02:13:36] then I just level that beam it's not sliding around it's pretty close that means it's pretty close the the ceiling grid makes it a lot easier because you can just sort of grid
[02:13:50] the ceiling that's it that's as close as I'm going to get it this thing flies like hell what is happening oh no don't fall down behind oh I'm so stupid I need to get
[02:14:12] the camera leveled and then not crash it because when I crash it the camera goes starts to rotate all right but we're still good we're still pretty good okay I'm going to glue the camera now let's check
[02:14:27] out this white E6000 not that anyone other than me cares about the availability of white E6000 but what deep down inside you care deep down inside white E6000
[02:14:44] excites you this is a safe SP space you can you can be honest so this is available on Tiny whoops website and it says ivory which I'm assuming means that it's white so let
[02:14:59] me take one last look at this camera it looks relatively level all right so what I do to glue these cameras down is just put a little bit of E6000 on the left and right side and do this with the nerd
[02:15:22] goggles on so I can see what I'm doing cuz the the little pinpoint on this thing is like ridiculously small so let's come on in here and I just put it right up front
[02:15:37] here right in this little corner oh it's like a bluish white and just a little bit that's it no big deal so a little bit on that side and then a little bit on this
[02:15:59] side that should be all it needs it's almost green there's almost some green to it oh happy whatever the holiday is today chase the snakes out of Ireland day
[02:16:24] that's what that's what St Patrick did didn't he or is that like a is that like a racist It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia joke that I shouldn't that I shouldn't
[02:16:40] perpetuate if so let me know there we go we're good huh I wouldn't let me squeeze some of this out maybe it's maybe just the the I don't know let's see if it's all green like
[02:17:08] that take a look here that's pretty green it's definitely whitish but that's a greenish white for sure maybe it dries white I mean it's way whiter than the than the black and the
[02:17:44] clear E6000 Tedy what what are you hollering about all right so there we go can't can't you just can you just I'm doing this without the nerd goggle I I can't I can't do it without
[02:18:22] the nerd goggles I I legit that's ridiculous big difference go figure when you can see what you're doing things become easier so there we go I I do want to figure out why it
[02:18:50] could just be those batteries being but this does not feel that great I think something might be going on with this maybe the every motor sounded the same so I wouldn't think
[02:19:06] that no there's definitely not a c clip rubbing cuz I can see that I've really opened up the frame I don't know something something ain't quite right on this thing I'll figure it out next time
[02:19:21] for now I got to let this E6000 dry otherwise I will get it all over everything and then the one last thing I want to do is measure the height of one of these project Top Spin Motors
[02:19:36] so let's let's pop one of these things off here kick on the regular bench cam real quick and we can compare it to the other 07 2S and I'll put it on the I'll put it on the Google Doc that all of you
[02:19:57] beautiful patrons have access to with all of the tiny whoop motor Heights so let's get this here the Temptation is to just now yank this motor off by the cord don't do it get
[02:20:12] your thin tipped tweezers in there and pry the connector out and all right so and let me make sure I have another 0702 floating around here to compare this to real
[02:20:30] quick that well screw it it'll be on the it'll be on the spreadsheet this and this throw this in here nope a right that way there we go okay project Top Spin
[02:20:54] motor from the base to the pad where the prop is going to mount is 7.12 MM let me just double check that with some magnification so that's
[02:21:22] it 7.10 perfectly perfect rather 7.1 millimeters let me pull up the what is it in Firefly it's in Firefox rather not Firefly 7 one not now tiny whoop prop
[02:21:55] testing no where's the other one FPV weights here we go it's in this one that's another one tiny whoop data here we go tiny whoop data motor Heights happy Mo it's different
[02:22:11] HappyModel 0702 7.5 mm so the top spins are4 mm lower can I insert one row below I can and copy paste HappyModel 0702 Top Spin Top Spin height 7.1 here's why that matters
[02:22:53] all right that sheet is updated here's why that matters what I noticed with the Top Spin Motors on this rig is that the when I bump into stuff the motors are stalling
[02:23:18] out rather than just bouncing off because now that the motor height is lower the tip of the propeller is at the very bottom and on some of them it's hitting the support see it down there that
[02:23:45] trailing edge of the propeller is like right on top of that support and it's basically because the top of this project Top Spin motor Bell does not have a c clip on
[02:24:03] it whereas the top of all the other HappyModel motor Bells has the C clip and it has you see that little spot where it's 1.5 mm thick there and then it necks down to
[02:24:17] 1 mm the project Top's beenin doesn't have that little area it's just 1 mm all the way down and so the propeller sits a little bit lower and I am not loving that on I
[02:24:32] already noticed it on this like look how low look how low that's riding in there see it see that trailing Edge is like on top of that support I can't imagine how how bad this
[02:24:49] would be in one of the other frames right so this is the Cockroach V3 frame this frame has this duct lower than all the other frames so in like any other frame this propeller would be like way
[02:25:03] down there like really bang I'm surprised that that nobody has I'm surprised I'm super super super surprised so I think I don't know what I'm going to do with these top spin
[02:25:21] Motors they sit so low it's almost like I need to run a motorizer but I don't want to do that because then you have to run longer screws and then you add like a half a gram to a gram so I'm
[02:25:35] not sure I'm not sure what to do with these project Top Spin Motors but we did some repairs we did some flying I'm going to leave it there this is great with this proper
[02:25:48] Mount if you have a tiny whoop race this is this is get it off that mount that it comes with the only thing I need to figure out now is what to do with these antennas these the the mounts like
[02:26:01] this they don't have any provisions to like hold antennas or anything so I got to I'll figure that out but am I caught up on the chat close
[02:26:13] half render says maybe a washer would be useful instead of a motor spacer so I mean you could put a washer down below the prop but then you're pushing the prop up on a 1 millimeter motor
[02:26:25] shaft so it's just going to bend the motor shaft so the old school motor shaft's design was better where it was 1 and 12 millimeter and then it necked down to 1 mil and you could push the prop all the
[02:26:41] way down so that like the base of the prop was butted up against the 1 and 12 mm part of the metal so I'll figure it out thanks for hanging friends I'll see you guys on
[02:26:55] Wednesday be good here's another bit of flying from Atlanta Auto back in 2023 please computer please be cool thanks for bearing with me over the course of a couple of
[02:27:21] let's call them sadow live streams love you bye n n a
